Your DnD Alignment based on your Brandon Sanderson starting point
Lawful Good – Tress of the Emerald Sea, You took Brandon at his word when he said that the Kickstarter books would be good starting point for the Cosmere.
Lawful Neutral – Wheel of Time, you found Brandon when he finished Wheel of Time and decided to give his own books a shot.
Lawful Evil – Rithmatist, this is your villain origin story tbh

"Icecream, like all things virtuous, must have a pain to get a reward."
It is 38 degrees outside and I am cold but. Icecream. So expressing my feelings with a Rithmatist quote. Er, probably more a paraphrase, since I went off of memory here.

So, Rithmatist sequel.
Brandon Sanderson
Ah. Yeah, that one.
WordsOnToast
Where is it?
Brandon Sanderson
Sadly, my main focus, my main focus for now is Stormlight Five. Rithmatist is definitely still in my mind, but I'm not focused on it right now.
WordsOnToast
I'm really not okay with that. I liked that book, and I need a sequel.
Brandon Sanderson
You know what, I -- I kind of like your chutzpah. If you had backed down, I wouldn't have bothered to try this, but I've actually been working on it in my spare time, so give me a second.
[Brandon pulls out a hardcover book with no cover art or visible title, and begins scribbling furiously across the pages for about a minute, his hand a blur as the surrounding air heats up from the motion]
There's your Rithmatist sequel. I usually do more drafts, but that should be good enough. Yeah, I didn't realize that the fans really cared that much. If you had let me know earlier, I would have just written it.

xland44: Speaking of Rithmatist, is the reason for the lack of a sequel still due to further research being necessary? Or is it just due to schedule?
Peter Ahlstrom: Both, plus Brandon really wants to find a good writer with Mexica heritage to coauthor it with.
Lostboy289: Im confused. Why does the heritage of the person writing it matter?
Peter Ahlstrom: Because what Brandon wants to do requires a lot more research than he is up for. Someone with a personal connection is more likely to have already done the research.

Today I was in an ice cream mood, so here's Melody Muns holding an ice cream cone.
(On the left the uniform is more accurate to the descriptions in the book, on the right is based off that time I went crazy looking into early 1900s school uniforms.)

Hey, do you like Mistborn/Stormlight Archive/other Cosmere stuff? If so I'll definitely reblog more of that but I've been kinda avoiding reblogging too many Cosmere posts because I just assumed none of my followers would care
Well...it's complicated.
First of all, reblog whatever, this is the Reblog Whatever Website.
But second of all, I know more about the Stormlight Archives but only really the first...two? maybe three? books. I like Brandon Sanderson as a writer, I think he's really good. But I engaged with his work pretty exclusively through listening to the audiobooks with my mom, kind of unintentionally. We just happened to occupy the same space a lot. Everyone was always doing their own thing in the living room, but my Mom has never heard of using a headset. So, we all kinda just consumed media vicariously through her.
She listened to Mistborn, too, but Stormlight Archives became a massive family event: we all took our headphones off to listen to Stormlight Archives books with my mom.
I haven't even touched anything remotely related to Brandon Sanderson in years, though. I have no idea what's going on in any of his series anymore. But it was worth it, I have a room that doesn't suck now.
