I love headcanons about Reyna being feminine at times, she’s definitely more girly than piper. Could be a nice contrast between the two

I’m not really the type of person to go shipping Reyna around. Her friendships are far stronger in a platonic sense but if a person had to be chosen for her it would be Thalia. The whole enemies to friends to lovers, both being part of the hunt and writing letters to each other after they met is enough to bribe me. As for other fandoms, I don’t tend to do crossover fandom shipping so apologies. But from the perspective of a person who does matchup, she would go well Sasha and Miwa. But one of my favorite ships for her is actually an oc one: Chika x Reyna who is @nicosavior456. Check out heir fanfic for sure.

Reyna did grow up in Circe’s island so I do imagine she knows a few things around. It certainly could be a nice contrast.

Can you think of reasons as to why Reyna and Thalia (before and after she becomes a Huntress) would and would not work as a couple?

(Hey so seeing how I received the exact same ask a....while ago, I really really really apologize for answering just now😖 : so I will answer to this one right now😂)

If you know you know but I'm not a Theyna shipper. And like...even I don't know why. I like both characters, I both ship them with characters with similar dynamics. I usually love this kind of ship! So maybe your ask will help me get this clear, let's see :

In a world where they both for whatever reason wouldn't be huntress, they would definitely be friends, but...it would take time. Of course Reyna hates Annabeth a big deal and Thalia being so protective of her would create tensions. But I easily see Thalia being the first to see through Reyna's shell, seeing a little of herself in her. From there anyone can take it how they want (me I really more see them as sisters with a touch of admiration on both sides).

And when they're both huntress I'd say they could of course not be anything but friends but, we're in the shippers' haven, so let's say they date : they'd be a power couple. The ultimate power couple.

For me they wouldn't work for quite some time, or at least respect each other from a distance. Then it would more be sibling-like bond, the both od them having very complicated relationships with their own sibling.

...hey maybe that's it! Reyna and Thalia are really, really similar, with experiences that can easily parallel each other. But they're more like two opposites of what they could result in after their past and traumas. That's how they can learn from each other, that how they could easily connect. And for me it works better in a friendship. They are a brotp I adore. Their interactions in the two last TOA books give me life!

So basically, they could work because of how similar they are and how they are made to respect each other immensely, but they wouldn't work because for me the few points where they contrast each other are the ones that could damage a relationship (coldness vs hot temper, pride, traumas...)
