"...You are all about to perish, do as you wish! (I'm so sorry...)" is one of my favorite moments of Revenge of MK's dialogue, it's so damn rich. Cause Meta is obviously beyond stressed and furious with everything that's happened and he just wants his closest crew to leave so he can deal with the shame alone by battling Kirby as his dreams literally nosedive into the sea. But his crew aren't thinking of this as Meta Knight's personal failure, to them it was a group effort they all failed at and should have a last hurrah together, which is incredibly sweet. The problem is just that things are hectic and Meta Knight is emotionally constipated AF, so his response just comes out as an IDFC, which he INSTANTLY regrets. Even with that horrible response his crew decide to go fight Kirby one last time out of nothing but pure respect for their leader. It's only once they fail for the 3rd time they realize that he was right the first time and they leave him be.      It's especially interesting contrasted with Revenge of the King and how Dedede treats his right hand man, Bandana Dee. By the time he asks Bandee to go fight he's also just as stressed and cornered by failure as Meta Knight was, but here he openly shows his compassionate side. He doesn't snap at Bandee for being scared to go out, he understands and spares him because he wants to take responsibility for Kirby. This is actually exactly what Meta Knight was trying to do, but the canyon of difference between how he and Dedede expressed these wishes is obvious. And because of this compassion poor Bandee is inspired to go fight Kirby, even if he was no where near as skilled and determined as the Meta-Knights were. They were immediately willing to put their lives on the line before Meta even said anything, but Dedede’s words and actions being able to invigorate a scared little dee into doing his best is really amazing.      I think this parallel shows a really wonderful dichotomy between the way these two approach leadership. Meta Knight is more calculated and organized - having led the building of a ship, assembly of an effective army, and staging of a coup - but he lacks good emotional communication skills. But even with that flaw his followers have a deep respect for him due to his skills and intellect, and I like to imagine they've become aware that deep down he does really care. Dedede is far less technically skilled in leadership - his army is untrained, he's always on the defensive, and he's shown panicking a lot when things don't go right - but he is very charismatic and a lot more open than Meta. I think canonically its said that he got his army of waddle dees by feeding them which can be read as bribery, or you could read it as him being good at taking care of them and their needs. He’s depicted as lazy but that seems to just be the culture of the land, which means that Meta Knight was coming in and trying to rule people that he simply didn't understand the lifestyle of because he couldn't relate. But he clearly outclasses the King as someone capable of protecting the land through strength and action, its only Kirby’s meddling that ruins his takeover. They've both had their moments of poor judgement and selfishness, but I don't think it's meant to be that one of them is a good leader and the other isn't, just that they had strengths and weaknesses they needed to work on. This is clear with Dedede who is now the same laid-back king he always was, but has stepped up to taking his role more seriously. And with Meta Knight you can infer from his friendlier nature he has learned to be less controlling and more respectful of Dreamland (though I really wish we saw him interact with his crew more :[ ...).       Meta Knight and Dedede are such cool fleshed out characters for a series that could've been fine repeating the same "Meta is invading!"/"Dedede is stealing!" plot for every platforming adventure. And as the two biggest antihero-to-companion characters of the series I think it's really fun they've built them up to be interesting foils of each other, all coalescing in the Sworn Partners plot in KF2 which is built on all these deliberate moments of parallel. God these characters are so good!

Lost Contact
Danny fell in love with Bruce Wayne in college. If he was completely honest with himself he didn't even know about Gotham or the outside world by that point, he just knew he had to get away from home for a while and complete his studies.
He didn't expect to run into a playboy billionaire who was supposedly very dumb at his college; Danny knew better, he could tell the difference between the act and the real Bruce, someone truly thoughtful, caring and very smart, but no one but him noticed so he didn't say anything.
They became very good friends despite their obvious latent crush and on graduation day Danny was about to confess when he got a call from home asking for help with the GIW. The halfa had no choice but to say goodbye not wanting to get Bruce in his mess.
When he returned to Gotham months later he learned that Bruce was gone, his butler informed him that he would be back but didn't know when and the halfa returned to Amity in disappointment. He decided to take over the Realms for a while and distract himself with all the responsibilities he had been avoiding.
Years later he was called for a college reunion. Danny was very nervous, he hadn't kept in touch with the outside world but his core was still glowing for the billionaire, he wondered if Bruce would remember him.
Despite his plan to confess his old feelings (and pretend they no longer existed), Danny was unable to do anything but look at Bruce who greeted him with a smile and a small child at his side. The halfa grimaced, maybe he was married?
Bruce seemed excited to see him again and exchanged his contact, asking him not to go off the radar again, the halfa felt a little guilty about it. They continued to communicate over the years. Danny noted with amusement how his crush kept adopting children and calling him for a dinner at the mansion.

honestly the most devastating thing about bdubs is probably his gut reaction to many situations that suggests pretty plainly he thinks that if you are great you'll make basically perfect things, which explains why he's awful at critiquing other people's work being way too gentle & equally explaining why he has a self-aware, self-derogatory perfect narcissist bit in which the joke is that he thinks he is perfect but he clearly cannot be because he makes imperfect thing. and you are what you make, what you make is what you are. but it's whatever [dies, badly]

Because Star Wars has had the cultural impact that it has, these characters almost become public domain, where people feel a sense of ownership over them. The character was criticised, my performance was criticised, and that part sucked. But I also felt like I had some context that perhaps helped a little bit. When Episode I came out, there was a lot of excitement that they were making a new Star Wars, and it was going to be the backstory of Darth Vader. But I had friends that were upset that the character was starting off as this young kid. And I watched the film, and I loved it. It was everything I wanted and more. And I didn’t understand the disconnect between the movie that I saw, and the negativity in some of the reviews. In a way that sort of criticism, I think, comes from a certain failure of their own suspension of disbelief. If you’re gonna go sit in a theatre, and the opening scroll starts with, “A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away”, that’s setting the stage that anything is possible. These people don’t need to sound and behave the way that we might expect. And if you’re going to sit down and think that you’re getting something that is of our current zeitgeist, then you’re setting yourself up for something else. You know what I mean?

Sanzu the type of guy who would rip up divorce papers in front of you then ask what you were making for dinner
Like if you threaten to leave him he'd just look at you for a second then be like "Alright, I'll be home around 3 see you then"
Don't even try to run away because he can and will find you easily. He might let you think you've gotten away from him for a few days but just when just when you think you're in the clear he'll pull up in a car and yell "Get in, you still have that hair appointment on Thursday."
In his eyes you had all the time in the world to leave when you first started dating so if you stayed then you're sure as hell not leaving him after the wedding XD and he'll have the nerve to remind you too
"Don't forget about that whole till death do us part shit now, we still have a long way to go so chill"

dating chifuyu means having to deal with him sending you a saddened face every time he sees a cat in the streets. this is one of the most painful parts of going on walks with him, especially during the winter. if there’s even just a patch of snow on the ground and a cat in the same place, best believe he’s muttering how peke j needs a friend. god forbid you both walk past a pet store as well since he would practically drag you to look at the cats with him.

The Wish
Danny wasn't Desiree, he didn't have the power to fulfill wishes or gain power from it, but he did have subjects. And each of his subjects wanted something different, and since becoming Ghost King he had done his best to fulfill them. Or at least, fulfill the ones that were reasonable.
But there were so many ghosts, many ghosts he didn't know, from all corners of the Infinite Realms, and some had requests that while he could fulfill, maybe it wasn't the best thing for him to do.
The wish he had heard the most was "kill the Joker," Danny didn't know who the Joker was. Maybe a mass murderer taking into account all the angry souls who wanted the same thing. And he would be willing to kill him, but that would be a headache regarding universal balance.
Danny debated how to solve the problem without destroying the delicate balance of the Realms; then he was visited by a soul, a teenager who felt like a ghost but at the same time not (a broken soul? That was rare). The soul had a peculiar request, "let me come back, I will kill the Joker."
Danny frowned, he didn't think creating a halfa with a vengeful obsession was a good idea. But before he could give his verdict, the soul was ripped from his hands.
Danny wanted to deny his request, he wouldn't wish an existence like him on anyone, but if he didn't help that soul might disappear. Such "Lazarus pits" were not infallible, they were rotten, full of contaminated ectoplasm, and Danny knew it (he would have to deal with that later), but he also knew that with a little of his help Jason would survive.
Reluctantly he complied with the teenager's request and Jason returned to the realm of the living. Unbeknownst to Jason he had tied his soul to the King's request (to kill the Joker, not that Jason knew that, or would complain if he ever found out).
Danny, of course, was worried about the boy (halfa?), and decided that if Jason hadn't accomplished his "mission" in about 5 years he would bring him back to the Realms, maybe teach him about everything. He needed to get the kid another obsession anyway.
Bruce never let Jason kill the Joker, and the 5 years went by pretty fast. Danny decided it was time to visit Jason, and maybe take him back.

I’ve seen a few of the ghosts regent ideas floating around, but pair that with adoptive dad Jason.
Jason adopts Danny but because he died, came back, and took a green soup dip Jason ends up accidentally adopting Danny in both the living realm and the GZ/IR. Danny being only 15 in human years and 1 in ghost years may be the current king, but he’s too young to be considered the formal ruler for events and realm rituals. So Jason has to take brakes from being the Red Hood every few weeks to basically put blob ghosts in a fancy circle and glare at unruly citizens.
Jason takes care of Danny and keeps the Bats from crowding and stressing him out. He also lets Danny help with vigilante stuff by working on evacuation plans, non lethal weaponry, medical training, and other things that won’t put him in danger or directly in the field.
Eventually the Red Hood gets captured by cultists along with a few of the other bats, all of them are tied to poles and fighting to escape their bindings. Then Jason hears what they’re supposedly going to summon, “The tyrant of the dead! The King of the Infinite Realm!” Jason stops fighting against his bindings and has to try not to choke or die again from laughing too hard while telling them they were about to do the stupidest thing they ever had.
The cultists say he “won’t be laughing for much longer” and to “shut up” and begin to summon the King. The entire area starts glowing green and the temperature drops, everyone can see their breath, the lights are flickering, and citrus scented neon green smoke begins spreading and forming a humanoid shape. At the same time the Red Hood vanishes, his bindings falling to the floor.
The cultists excitingly finish the ritual and while the figure is still cloaked in smoke tell it they prepared sacrifices for it. The smoke fades and standing fully armed ready to fight is the Red Hood. He tells the cultists to Run and that he told them they were going to regret this.
After Jason beats the cultists and the Bats get free they ask him how he did it. Jason responds by saying the King didn’t sign the Summoning permission slip so he can’t be summoned. This just leaves them more confused.
Jason heads back home to tell Danny what happened and that he should change the King’s summoning requirements.
