I know I’ve stated it before, but it feels warranted to say again jic XD

Arceus created the legends in Man’s image in hopes they would be able to more closely interact with humanity. Arceus is the only deity known who has a pokemon form.

The other legendaries are gods in their own right. They have powers stronger than any pokemon and protect the regions they preside over. Some have more ‘pokemon’-like features than others. Some only attain those features upon reaching the peak of their power (aka, level 100). But no matter what, legends in this universe are gijinkas only.

A defeated sigh escaped Lucifer's lips as Y/N slid into the seat across from him, a huge grin on their face.

"Y/N," Lucifer greeted dryly, lips pursed as he watched the mortal in front of him. There's a moment of silence where Y/N analyzes his features before lacing their fingers together.

"Oh wipe that pout off your face," Y/N said, studying the demon from behind their shades. "You know you'll end up thanking me anyways."

"I won't," Lucifer replied, frown beginning to etch onto his face. "But you're welcome to try anything you'd like."

And with that, Y/N flagged down a waiter, and ordered drinks for the both of them. Two very specific drinks. Two very specific drinks that also happened to be the reason why Lucifer was sat in a cafe in the Human Realm against his will in the beginning of Autumn.

Pumpkin Spiced Lattes.

Just thinking about the flavoring made Lucifer grimace. Based on the countless ramblings, courtesy of Y/N, he assumed the drinks to be far too sweet for his tastes. What's more, it's pumpkin flavoring. How could that possibly taste good?

Some time passed by and Lucifer realized that there was another reason why he disliked Pumpkin Spiced Lattes. They take far too long to make. It was beginning to grate on his nerves, but unfortunately, there was nothing he could do. Sometimes, he truly regretted making a pact with a mortal human that couldn't keep themselves out of trouble from day 1.

Eventually though, the Pumpkin Spiced Lattes arrived, and Y/N could only watch Lucifer's reaction through bated breath (while sipping on their own latte, mind you-).

Slurp.

"It is..." Lucifer began.

"It's what Luci?" Y/N asked.

"It is...as I thought. Downright terrible, disgusting, I never want to put it in my mouth ever again."

Sighing, Y/N merely took Lucifer's latte out of his side of the table and brought it next to their own. More for them, they supposed.

This time, Lucifer flagged down the waiter from earlier. "Yes, hello. I would like to order the," Lucifer peered down at the menu that seemed to have materialized into this hands out of nowhere. "Honeysuckle Hot Cider Herbal Tea, please."

Within minutes, the waiter returned with Lucifer's choice of beverage, and he looked quite proud, seeing that his drink did not take much time at all to make. Turning to where Y/N sat, sipping two lattes at a time now (because the mortal was insane), Lucifer said, "Now that's a desirable beverage. No pumpkin. Enough spice. No latte."

Author's Note: And that's the fourth day of Hauntober for you! I've gotta say, I personally find Lucifer hating pumpkin flavored things with a burning passion rather humorous. Slightly unprecedented, but somehow still in character, no?

Living Glass Lore Headcanons

Living Glass Headcanon Lores:

How does Living Glass work exactly? It's based off normal glass, though Resh'an modifies its density with his alchemy, and by altering its chemical structure some, allows it to enter a state which ensures it has some fluidity. The magic holding it together is derived from the will and the life-force of the being encased in the glass - essentially, as long as the entity within possesses strong enough will, it "powers" the glass, keeps it alive, and allows the being possessing it to use it as a vessel. Additionally, such shifting density means that the Living Glass is extremely durable and absorbs shock easily - though one can still be wounded through the glass, hence how B'st can be hurt and KO'd in battle. Living Glass itself is composed of similar silicate materials as normal glass, though its sheen and color is taken from quartz derivates. Resh'an likely imagined one could create different colors in it by using crystal impurities found in common gemstones (like the chromium + vanadium that makes emeralds green), and the plain glass has a green tinge like sea glass. However, to make it "living", the Glass contains crystal filaments, akin to the striations found in Lemurian Quartzes, though these are actual nervelike filaments of enchanted metal, preferably of silver-tungsten alloy, which carry the magic and electric signals that allow for one to really control and manipulate the form of the Glass. These metallic filaments also are what allows the being to feel with the Glass, as the magic surrounding the glass transforms outward stimuli to electrical impulse, and the metal filaments carry this similarly to the way nerves in the human body do with action potential. These filaments are so fine that they aren't visible to the naked eye.

The density I mentioned earlier because of Reshy's reeeeaaaaally complex magic that I won't go into because magic? It can be somewhat counteracted by temperature. B'st likely feels sluggish and fatigue in the cold because the Living Glass gets stiffer and solid (due to molecular shenanigans) - and he likely feels more frisky and active in the heat because the Glass gets more liquid and motile (more molecular shenanigans).

Living glass, obviously, can feel. B'st is able to move the stuff around and manipulate his body, and he can feel pretty well through it. What sensations can he feel? Well, temperature I imagine. Pain, too, but that's a little tough to induce in Glass Golem - he also seems impervious to most damage, as in B'st sprites we see that he does not crack. He was also able to take a hit from the Fleshmancer in Garl's place, and recover fine, so I'd imagine it takes a lot to cause B'st much pain. He can feel other feelings like pleasure and all manner of textures on the glass, just the way skin feels texture. Perhaps heat can make the Living Glass more sensitive, and if B'st chooses to prime the Glass, alter its structure some to try and concentrate the little nervelike fibers that allow him to control it - he can feel sensations more intensely. This makes the sensitive Glass good when dealing with dexterous jobs that require a lot of precision.

What does Living Glass feel like to touch? Probably feels like normal glass, but less stiff and definitely more pliant. Smooth in texture, and unless B'st is hurt or feeling bad, there'd be no cracks or surface roughness. Ultimately, it probably feels a tad like putty or molding clay, but.. more glassy? It's a weird feeling to imagine, as it's hard to imagine handling glass that isn't at risk of shattering with a distictive stiff-sharpness. Also, I imagine that if there isn't a soul inside the Glass, it turns into a sort of.. dry, silky powder, similar to a fine sand or igneous stone dust.

(Deep breath) Okay, there we are with all my ideas about how the Living Glass works! It's not really gone into during the game, so I used my brainpower to make an entire insane rambling about it :) It's a million words long and congrats if you make it to the bottom!

"How harmless choices can make a harmful world"

Please play this simple sim about how segregation in society works and what can be done to stop it cause it's super interesting and explains a lot of things, but i HIGHLY recommend a computer as it's hard to manipulate on a small mobile device

This is a take on segregation and what promotes it, and what prevents it.

This game demonstrates how even slight biases can create as a whole a harmful and separated society and also demonstrates that:

-Having 0% bias isn't enough to end segregation, if things are segregated, there is no change

-the simplest even 5% of a need for diversity COMPLELY cleans up segregation

-just cause we stop throwing trash on the ground it doesn't make the room cleaner

-the smallest need to undo what is already done does the work completely

"Stop making a big deal about it and just live your life and we will be cool with it" = Not enough

This is a very logical argument for why minority groups CANT just "Live" life and not bother anyone again. SO MANY people always tell under represenated groups to just "be you but don't make a big deal about it." BUT THAT DOES NOT clean up the shit in society. It just at MOST prevents it from further happening, but things still stay the same with under represented groups not moving any more outside of the cage they already were put in. There needs to be a push to get outside that cage.

Having the slightest need, even a 5% need for diversity is all that is needed to bring people closer together. It's literally all about goals and perspective, the slightest need for diversity EVEN when combined with the need to be with others like you completely 100% changes the game, it's honestly wild and mind blowing and i'm glad i was poking around to find this crap

Probably asked before, but why did you pick gijinkas over regular 'mons for your blog? :O

Actually not asked before!! Good question omg, I think theres a few reasons why I chose gijinkas over mons. One is just cus I’m way better/used to drawing humans over animals haha, but another is simply cus my first oc/sona was a reshiram gijinka(Reshi ;D)! She evolved over time into her own oc that has very little to do with Pokemon now besides the name haha, but this is like an AU version of her that just brings me alotta nostalgia and comfort! Black is my favorite pokemon game of all time and it’s really what started me into drawing ocs and creating characters! Besides all that I also just love challenging myself to design gijinkas haha, I find it super fun incorperating as much of the mon design into a humanoid form, either through clothes or other means haha. I want to be a character designer and make my own game featuring Reshi so all the pactice is fun and good to stretch my skills haha.
