Kiro has legit ruined dating real life men for me istg 😩
Reason #19056934545 why my standards are set so damn high
I’m translating the new Mind’s Quest and:
MC: Kiro!
I let go of my luggage and threw myself into his arms. He tightened his arms, and a laughing voice rang in my ears.
Kiro: It seems that Kiro is also very lucky today!
Kiro: It was supposed to take seventeen hours and seven minutes to see you, but only sixteen hours and fifty-three minutes have passed.
MC: Pfft, are you so easily satisfied? It’s just ten minutes early…
Kiro: But for those of us who haven’t seen Miss Chips for half a month, we should cherish every moment we can earlier.
MC: Us?
He raised the Little Bear with a smile, and it leaned down to me in a gentlemanly manner and kissed my cheek.
Kiro: Bear Ro Ro misses you so much that he told me to kiss you when we meet~
Kiro: But I made an agreement with him a few weeks in advance. He can only kiss cheeks, and I–
In the next second, a softer touch lands on my upper lip and leaves a touch of sweetness.
😍😍😍😍
I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!!!!!! 😭

HELLO
Listen....I know I'm kind of shit at this RP thing, or being active and whatnot, BUT. Work is finally slowing a bit for me, and I want to do the things again, as time and energy permit.
Zed is always gonna be there, no matter what. But also - Aki is back!
And so is Wendy, FFVIII OC blog (Nida's mom, doncha know). Honestly, I have soooo many side blogs that are either dormant, or just plain vanished, but these few are kind of talking to me right now, so we'll see where this goes.

Mr. Love: Ike's Choice CH5 PT10
Alright people! We are one away from Chapter five being finished! This one was a super fun one to write. The fluff made me giggle like a school girl. Although, all good things come to an end! As you will see with this part in the series ',:) Stay tuned for mysteries finally being put together!!
Warnings: Not much besides the first bit of angst that we haven't had in a while!! Not to mention some ~Gayness~ so ya homophobes better watch out. (also get off my page you disgust me) Not to mention a cliffhanger that may cause you to beg for the next upload to come sooner >:P
(Chapter Five (Kiro and Youran) Prologue and part one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, and nine can be found here~)
((Please read the author’s note (and the beginning of the story) on chapter one part one if you’re new here :D))
(((And here is the Masterpost to the whole story for anyone who would like to dive into different parts of the adventure!!)))
Chapter Five:
Part Ten:
Gavin and I had spent the rest of that night at St. Richards, laughing together. I had introduced him to Hunter and, after a moment of inspection, Hunter had deemed him worthy of my time. Not that I needed it, but it was nice to see the smile that Gavin gave me after Hunter had said it. After I had told them both the story with Sam and Kiro, they were in stitches. That day had ended perfectly, and I got to watch it end as the sun rose through the window. Gavin walked me home and wished me goodnight at my door. Though it wasn’t out of his way, the thought of it was what made it perfect. So was the second kiss to the back of my hand that he had given me.
 As I walked into my home and lay in my bed, sleep evaded me. All I could do was think about that day. Sam had woken up not too long after I had gotten to bed and we made breakfast together, enjoying each other’s presence and the good food as Sam kept the promise he had made me the night before. After breakfast, Bart had come to take Sam home. I walked him down to the parking lot and said our goodbyes.
That weekend had passed by in a flash and as soon as it had come, it had gone. I had returned to my work and was back to being the hardheaded boss I always was. Though, now it seemed more difficult to hold my usual poker face.
>>
It was late as I sat at the desk in my office, looking through the plan I had just finished writing. There was a knock at my door. “Come in.” I said, keeping my eyes on my computer screen. The door creaked open slowly, as if the person behind the door was nervous to open it.
“Is the coast clear?” A hushed voice asked. I looked up and saw a head with a baseball cap and large sunglasses peering around the room.
“Excuse me?” I asked coldly, prepared for just about anything.
“Is the coast clear?” The head reiterated a bit louder. A suppressed smile seemed to be leaking from his pursed lips as he waited for me to play along with his little game.
“From what?” I asked, straightening my posture.
“From evil of course!” A familiar cheery voice came from the head as he looked at me, beaming. I rolled my eyes.
“You really think I’d work in an office with evil sitting with me?” I propped my head on my hand and arched an eyebrow.
“Good point!” The head said, opening the door further to reveal the rest of his body. He took off his hat and sunglasses and winked at me, “Heya, Super Stranger!”
“Hi, Kiro.” I hummed, turning back to my computer, “What can I help you with?”
“Well, I was just about to go to dinner with Youran when we realized, you should join us!”
“Youran?” I snapped my head back to Kiro. As I did so, music tickled the air. I looked behind Kiro and saw Youran holding a small music box in her hands. One I had kept on a shelf on display. I stood up and made my way over to her. Her eyes seemed to glaze over as she listened to the tinkling melody of the music box.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?” I asked softly. Youran jumped; the box slipped from her hands. I swiftly caught it and grabbed Youran around the waist.
“I’m sorry I startled you.” I chuckled, steadying Youran as I spoke, “Are you alright?” Youran’s cheeks flushed as she nodded and stood up straight. I kept my hand around her waist for a moment, then removed it when I felt she was really ok.
“S-sorry!” She mumbled, “I didn’t mean to play it. I was just-”
“Don’t worry about it.” I smiled softly. I turned the key to the music box and let the melody play again, “Music is meant to be heard.” Youran’s once flustered state calmed as she listened to the song again. Her shoulders eased as she watched the box.
“What…” Her voice seemed far away, wading like the music after each note was played, “... What is this song?”
“Honestly, I don’t remember.” My eyes drifted to the music box as well, “I’ve known it all my life but I could never figure out the source. The song always seemed to comfort me when I was stressed so, when I was fifteen, Maria had given this music box to me that played the melody. So I’d always find a way to be… be calm.” The melody ended, washing the room in complete silence. I cleared my throat and placed the music box back on the shelf, “So, what is this about dinner?” I turned to Kiro. He was watching us, leaning back on the table and arms folded. But, his face wasn’t holding his normal brightness. It was cold. Ice cold. His eyes were sullen and his lips were pressed tightly together.
When our eyes met though, he quickly straightened and smiled brightly. “Sorry!” Kiro laughed, rubbing the back of his neck, “Got lost in thought.” He laughed. I kept my eyes trained on him. That wasn’t right. Who looks like that when they stare off into space? A warmth spread across my arm. I looked down and saw a hand on my shoulder. I looked up and caught Youran’s eyes. She smiled at me kindly.
“Is everything ok?” She asked this like nothing had happened. I slowly nodded and looked down. I was holding my arm in front of Youran, protectively. I quickly lowered it and coughed to cover a rising blush.
“So, Super Stranger!” Kiro made his way over to me and slung an arm over my shoulder, “How do you feel about Hot Pot?”
>>>
We all settled in our seats as our waitress left to get us water. Youran bounced happily in her chair. “I have been craving hot pot for the longest time!” She drooled, deeply breathing in the savory smells that filled the air, “I haven’t had the chance to go because of work!”
“Same, Miss. Chips.” Kiro joined her in savoring the smells, “I’m starving!”
“Well I guess we will have to start a conversation before you end up eating one of us.” I folded my arms and leaned on the table, directing my eyes at Kiro, “So, why do you call Youran, Miss. Chips?” Kiro smiled widely.
“Oh yeah! That’s a good story!” Kiro repositioned himself in his seat, “So there I was, looking for a bag of chips. But not any kind of chips, oh no no! A special kind that had collector edition batman cards in it!!” I placed my head in the palm of my hand, listening intently, “When I had found it, there was only one left! So I went to grab it but another hand stopped me!” I looked over to Youran with a smirk. My smirk fell. Youran was smiling widely and her eyes sparkled with adoration as she watched Kiro. The way she smiled was so familiar… and captivating.
"Long story short," Kiro continued giddily, pulling me out of my head and my attention back to him, "she gave me the cards and it was the one that completed my collection! So I started calling her Miss. Chips because of it!"
"Cute." I said somewhat sarcastically as the waitress came with our drinks, "You guys seem close."
"We are!" Kiro flung his arms around Youran from across the table, making her already big eyes grow wide, "Practically inseparable! Especially after what happened in that basement!" I choked on my drink.
"Excuse me?!" I spluttered.
"Yeah!" Kiro answered almost nonchalantly, "Miss. Chips and I were at the hackers summit when-"
"You're a hacker?!" I snapped my head to Youran. She waved her hands frantically.
"No! No!" She squealed, "I was just reporting on a story!"
"Yeah! And I found her there! And she found out I'm," Kiro leaned in close and whispered, "Key."
"Right." I pushed his head from me, keeping my eyes bolted on Youran, "So, what happened exactly?"
"Well," Youran almost whispered, "There was a bomb."
"A whAT?!" Panic flooded my chest.
"We're fine!" Kiro quickly said, smiling reassuringly, "But, while we were running, we tripped into this basement! It had three rooms that… had… death traps- actually…" Kiro paused, face becoming grim, "... the basement kinda reminds me a lot of what we had fallen into, Ike." My breath hitched. Images rearose in my mind from that strange computer. They flashed by quickly but the one picture of the little brown haired girl on an experiment table lingered.
"What exactly happened?" My tone had unintentionally become dour. The air had suddenly become stiff.
"Well," Youran begun, "there were three secret rooms we had to get through. Each one harder to defeat then the last."
"They were targeted towards us specifically." Kiro gave me a knowing look. I clenched my hands under the table.
"Then," Youran's voice was soft. Her eyes were looking at the table but they seemed a thousand yards away, "Then there was this text. And… pictures." My heart stopped, "Pictures I don't remember… but-"
"Seem familiar to you." I finished.  Youran looked up at me, locking our eyes.
"Yeah!" She said, shocked, "How did you-"
“Here we are!” A team of waiters brought over the ingredients for our hot pot. I leaned back in my chair and let them scramble the ingredients around the table. Kiro and Youran’s faces lit up as they immediately started digging in, dropping the subject at hand. I hadn’t quite gotten there yet.
I slowly picked up the chopsticks by my side as my mind raced to make sense of what I had heard. Youran saw the pictures too? Had she seen the same ones I had? And the text, was it the same? Was it black swan? It had to be. What other person was making a three tiered death trap, targeted to us specifically? Why was Kiro with her? What did he have to do with any of this? A picture came to my mind from the computer.
 A picture of the brown haired girl laying next to a bright blond haired boy.
The boy’s eyes…
I dropped my chopsticks.
Kiro was in those pictures too. That would mean…
“Stranger?” Kiro’s voice sounded far away, “Are you ok?” I nodded slowly, unable to speak. I looked up at Kiro. Images overlapped in my mind. Not just ones from the computer, but ones from the most forgotten part of my mind. Images of a bright eyed boy, reaching out a hand to pick me up, making me a flower crown, smiling the world's most dazzling smile…
I stood up quickly from my chair. Kiro looked at me with worry. “Is everything alright?” He stood with me, reaching out a hand. I backed up slightly, mind still racing. If Kiro was there, then he was an evolver too. What was his evol? Could he have been using it on me without me knowing? Keeping me tied around his little finger? Is he a member of-
I felt a tug from my left side. I snapped my head down and locked eyes with Youran. She held my hand, worry filled her eyes. “Ike.” The moment she said my name, I felt my body relax, “What’s-”
“I-... I’m ok.” I cut Youran off, looking away from her and holding my head, “Sorry, I… lost my cool.”
“What happened?” Kiro came to my side, touching my arm. I jumped at his touch, but soon settled into it. No matter who he was, he was still Kiro. He was still the man who fought so hard just to make me happy and spent the best day of my life with me and my brother. His past may not be as innocent as I’d like to think, but he was still Kiro. He was my SongBird…
He was my friend.
I looked up at Kiro and met his eyes, “Sorry.” I said earnestly, patting his hand, “I.. I don’t.. S-sorry.”
“Don’t worry.” Kiro chuckled, smiling reassuringly, “Are you ok now?”
“I…” My mind still spun with questions and emotions, “... I’m going to need a minute. Excuse me.” I shook Youran’s hand out of mine and walked to the bathroom, ignoring the holes the Kiro and Youran bore into my back with their eyes.
Once I got to the restroom, I slumped over the sink and looked up at the mirror. I looked like a wreck. Worry wrinkles creased my skin, my hair was a frizzy mess, and bags sat prominently under my eyes… my blue eyes…
I grimmised as another wave of images crashed into my mind, stronger then it had before, but these images were new. Those of a small blond haired boy playing soccer with me, a raven haired boy feeding me a spoon full of pudding, a small child laying lifeless in the middle of a street, a teenager flying in the air, a little brown haired girl sitting under a sycamore tree.
I groaned and held my head, feeling a pulsing in my temples as I knelt to the ground. Why was this happening?! What did Black Swan have to do with those images? Who was the Qu-...
The images stopped spinning in my head, landing only on one. That young, bright brown haired girl, reaching out a hand to me. Smiling.
Youran
… Youran was the queen.
I didn’t know why that truth was so clear to me but, it was. She was the queen. She had to be. But what did being the queen mean? And why were those images only shown to the two of us? What did any of this have to do with me?
I stood up shakily from the ground. Chuching my head as I steadied my self in front of the sink. I turned on the water and splashed it on my face. This was all insane. First Montu and now this?! I sighed and looked in the mirror. My breath hitched as shock filled my chest. I was in the mirror. I looked the same as I did before. Worry wrinkles, messy hair, bags under my eyes and all.
Except the color of my eyes had changed to a crimson red.
I quickly stumbled away from the mirror. The image of the broken lab and a little girl standing over Youran came to my mind. That little girl with the bushy brown hair and the monstrous red eyes...
she was protecting her…
I was protecting her.
I-... I was the Rook.
My protective feelings toward Youran, her ability to calm me with one touch, to look at me and instantly make me feel peace, that must have been the power she held as the Queen. She needed protection and, of course, an Evolver with super strength would do just that. She had to have been planning this the whole-...
Except.. she couldn’t. When she talked about the images, she said she didn't remember them. That they only seemed familiar to her. Like they did to me. Was she also struggling with these headaches? Would she tell me if she was?... did she feel the same closeness as I did? Did she feel that same pull, that same ease in her heart, when I spoke?
My blazer pocket buzzed. I shook my head slowly and shakily pulled out my phone. It was a text from Youran.
Are you feeling any better? Do you need anything?
I paused, a calm drifting through my beating heart.
She was worried.
I breathed deeply, then looked back at the mirror. My eyes had returned to normal. A thought came to mind. One that could solve everything…
But it would cost more than I'd like to give.

My MLQC Experience Log#1
Tumblr media
Welcome to my somewhat reaction, I just want to gush about this game. I didn't know anything about this game but I like the art and premise so yeah!
I am not gonna get attached to these characters real quick no I am not
First time doing this let's go
First things first, hello our cute MC❤️
Tumblr media
I must admit I did not expect we would run a company let alone our parents died???? But glad to know we have a backstory for ourselves
Another thing that surprised me was that they did voice acting in English!
Unfortunately, we didn't meet Victor in person but the first one we did meet was KIRO!...Oh no....I'm in trouble
Tumblr media
Sir you smell like sunshine and that innocent smile is making me melt
You are literally shinning aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh🔅
also-
Tumblr media
Don't do this Kiro (Childhood) friends-to-lovers trope is my weakness so don't add more fuel to the fire but sure I can give the prize card inside the potato chips. He's so extroverted!! But he's so sweet 💕
After our separate ways, we try going back to our company and-
Tumblr media
Hello there Victor sudden entrance but thanks for saving me. (Wait what do you mean I am an Evol?) Sadly it was short but now it's Gavin!!!
Tumblr media
Wait!! Gavin!!...you just left
Okay new plan for the last episode of Miracle Finder instead of Kiro it's Lucien the Professor but
Tumblr media
Not only that he was really good at being cheeky and a tease I might have gone red from that conversation alone! Can you blame me? The man slowly whispered in our ear and hahahahahahaha😳
Tumblr media
Okay👍
Luckily He agreed to be on the show and I like this side of him as well
Tumblr media
aaaaawww 10/10 Domestic life Husband material
After finishing the last episode some good news!
Tumblr media
I didn't mention this earlier but the side characters have sprites, some even have voices which is really nice
Now we report the good news to our boss, negotiate and-
Tumblr media
Can we trick him with puppy eyes? Oh he's a cat person sadge : (
Okay, seriously both Lucien and Victor's voices are so soothing to hear can you record an audiobook for us? no wait I would sleep through it
Though this is funny
Tumblr media
I really like Victor, he's the right amount of tsundere that I like it's cute. Sadly he had the last laugh
Tumblr media
We are going through places so fast and this is chapter 2 But we get to meet Gavin now!
Tumblr media
You faced Victor you'll be fine...wait he works as a cop?
Tumblr media
WAIT! WAIT! WAIT! WAIT! GAVIN! WE ARE CHILDHOOD FRIENDS :D !!!!!
But at the same time aaawww Gavin what happened? What blood-soaked letter? I need to know more!!! (Also that scar, he doesn't hide it)
Tumblr media
Hahahahahahaha I'm sorry why are you a lot cuter now? The fact we go to the same school and even after all these years? Shoot weren't we here on assignment?
Tumblr media
After that investigation, there is this
Tumblr media
It's sweet only to realize it's a tracker(Actually don't mind this, no I am not delulu) But hey the sentiment is there!
Tumblr media
Now to report to Victor! But if he was my boss in real life I swear to you unless he makes moves first I would just be talking business and nothing else
Tumblr media
I know we are in the entertainment industry but man our life is dramatic
Tumblr media
Dammit why do you have to be our boss, still would romance you though, and 0 to 100 real quick
Tumblr media
You call us from time to time and I wonder why Victor is so uh..."soft" to us. Don't stop though keep calling and texting even how much you deny it 💗
Tumblr media
After that Business deal, we went out and dun dun dun trouble
!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hooray! The sweet release of death! /j (Seriously I am joking but a lot of people want us dead)
Luckily Gavin (and Lucien's advice) saves the day!
Tumblr media
I know the main story is linear but I still feel spoiled by all these CGs it feels unreal
Also did not expect I would fall for Gavin this hard, look at that warm smile!!! :D
Tumblr media
It's nice to know we are still wearing our tracker, no I still don't mind this (Okay maybe I am a little delulu but let me have this)
Tumblr media
I will gush on you later my sweet Kiro for now I will add you to the list of my bundle of sunshine characters I love and adore(It's a small list but I adore them aahhhhh)
Chapter two is done!
That's about it I haven't even touched the dates and events heck there are so many I just wanted to focus on the main story, for now, I need to figure out the game mechanics and grind to level up my cards
I should have looked at a tutorial first but now I will!!
@jozhenji , @celiciaa must taggy tag you :D

Children know
part two to Her little light
It was their last breakfast together.
Obviously not the last last, but the last during which he would still live at home.
It was a weird feeling. His room was jarringly empty and void of all the little knick knacks that had accumulated over time. The Ps4, Ran had gifted him on his birthday, was already over at his new flat that was just in walking distance to the Campus. The same was the case for the 65 inch TV Sanzu had given him on Christmas a few years back.
All of his books had also been neatly stacked into the new bookshelves in his new living room and office room.
He was a spoiled college student wasn't he? After all his father, one of the richest men in Tokyo was paying for everything and had wanted him to have only the best of the best.
The last few weeks his Dad and him had talked all about the program he had enrolled in, the parties he could go to, Dad had teased him about all the women he could finally bring over without his mothers disapproving glare, all the vacations he could take without having to fight with his mother over them.
And yet there was this weird gnawing feeling in his chest at the thought of leaving his mother behind in this loft.
If he thought about it rationally, his parents seemed made for each other. They were loving, his Dad brought gifts nearly every week, Mom never forgot an anniversary, He could remember maybe two times the two had fought with each other and that was at least 6 and 12 years ago respectively. He didn't know for sure what the fight had been about he only knew that that had been the summer he had finally been allowed to enrol into an exchange program at a boarding school in England, so he had always thought that that had probably been the fights topic and that his Dad had simply been able to sway her.
The idea of the exchange program had come from his Dad back when he was 7. It had been a teasing jab he had made during breakfast when the energy in the kitchen had felt just a bit too stifling for everything to be right. Thinking about it now, his mothers reaction at the joke, because that's what it must have been, had been a bit too frenzied, for Kiro to ever forget.
Even now he could see his mother stopping dead at the sink, turning around to his father white as a ghost. He could even remember that her eyes had seemed just a bit glassy. His father on the other hand had just laughed and ruffled his hair.
“He's much too young for that. Don't take everything I say at face value, dear.” He had simply said before proceeding to drink his coffee.
After that the energy around the table had completely lifted back into the normal mornings that Kiro was used to. Teasing and light hearted. His mother cracking a joke or two, sitting next to his father while massaging his hand.
Sometimes he wondered if he had made the stifling energy up, back when he was a kid to explain away his mothers reaction.
“I know Hajime teases you about all the parties you could go to, now that you've moved out, but I want you to do some real studying, okay!?”
His mothers voice brought Kiro back into the presence.
“I promise, Mom.” He told her with a grin that made his mother sigh.
He didn't think that she really wanted him to move out, but what Mother did.
“I'll be fine, I'll make you proud. Don't you worry.” He said while getting up and pulling her into a hug.
“Show your face around here from time to time, alright?” She mumbled into his chest, while pulling him all the closer. “Goodness. How have you grown so much. You know I would do anything for you, right? If you have any problems, you know you need only call. And your room will always be available for you. I won't change a thing in there.”
“Let the poor boy breathe, dear. Our Kiro is growing into a fine man. Moving out is simply another milestone.”
Yeah, Kiro decided. The queasy feeling in his chest didn't make sense. The way his mother seemed to tense up just the slightest bit, whenever his Dad was around just didn't make sense. There hadn't even been a time that Dad had raised his voice towards her. Much less struck her.
So why did it seem that his mother had this undying revulsion for the man he was allowed to call father after Koko had adopted him at six? As far as he could tell, Koko was the man that had stepped up. He had been the one to take them out of their screeching flat into this loft right in the heart of Tokyo. Koko had been the one who had made it possible for Kiro to attend all the best schools, wear the best clothes. Koko was the reason for his mother to be able to retire from her work and be a housewife.
Even when he was young and it had just been him and Mom he had always known that she hated her job. Even though she had hid it nearly perfectly, he had been able to pick up on the exhaustion. Mom always joked about how in tune with everyone's emotions he was. It was probably the reason he had decided on studying psychology. Because making sense of a person and helping them just came naturally.
Dad sometimes joked that he came after Mom in that regard. He had once told her that she had always dreamed of studying psychology but it simply hadn't been in the cards for her.
So it made even less sense, that he just couldn't understand his mothers feelings towards his father.
When he thought about Koko, he was probably what every father and husband wished to be and what every child and wife wanted to have.
He was attentive, devoted, he showered them both in gifts, he wasn't afraid to hug his son and show vulnerability when needed, he was also a strong rock, who always had a solution for the problems the family went through, he always spoke softly with his wife, always listening to her complaints and solving those that he could.
And yet, he had never seen his mother lean on him for more than she had to.
Yes. At first glance they seemed perfect for each other.
She was gentle with him, always seemed to lean into his embraces, greeted him with a kiss and dinner, when he came back from a hard day at work, surprised him with special evenings just for the two of them, heck after 13 years of marriage they simply seemed to have a stellar marriage.
They rarely even seemed to disagree on things and when they did, Mom and Dad would most often come to a compromise.
Although Kiro did think that his Dad got his way more often, but he had also always just equated that to his mothers love for her husband and her wish to see him happy.
Now, as he felt her slowly loosen her muscles underneath his embrace he couldn't shake the sinking feeling that he had been misconstrued horrifically. Because if there was one thing he had always felt rolling of his mother in waves, threatening to someday drown her, wasn't love.
It was pure unadulterated fear.
He could just never understand where it came from.

Chapter 24: Oh Look! More Popular Character Cameos! It’s Like a Crossover FanFic in here!
Back at the HQ, some of the team was in the living room, watching Molli go through VR challenges, telling her its kinda like training. They placed a zombie game on there and told her not to kill anything, just dodge. It was mostly the guys with Asta and Lekir since Sigryn, Skyggja and Vasha went to keep up the research on any clues to fight Wally’s infection. M had slipped off to work on the C5 Doorway and to get some alone time from his ex turned adopted stray.
Wally, himself, went to his bedroom, for when he’s not in Carmen’s, and stood by his old fashioned bedside washbasin. He spit up a little bit of blood after coughing hard. A couple tiny clinks hit the basin, a few crystals had come loose. He leaned on the edges and hung his head, it was advancing more than he expected. He rolled a shoulder and could feel a tingly grinding now as the crystals were trying to form to his joints. He kept stretching and moving to keep the joints from freezing up as much as he could.
He looked in the mirror, shifting his normal blue eyes to his segmented blue sclera to white fade iris and back again. He didnt want to shift to anything else, it didn’t make him feel like him. But he didn’t know what else to do. He knew of one antidote but it came with an impossibly high cost. He could not bring himself to pay the price, not after so long. He took off this sweater, a few strands of yarn caught and snagged again on the crystals slicing through his body. It itched and ached like mad. He took the clasps Carmen used and started to pull them out himself. He felt like a burden when he asks her for help. He did enjoy how gentle she was, she made it not nearly as painful as when he did it himself.
Soon crystals littered the bottom of the basin, water tinted red. He wasn’t even halfway done and he was exhausted. The crystals even looked bigger this time which worried him. He sat on the bed, holding his head as his elbows rested on his knees. If he doesn’t get cured, he will die and leave his family and new friends. If he pays for the antidote, he still removes his family from his life, but he would be alive. He shook his head, he would rather die than hurt any of them. He needed to prepare for the worst, and cherish everything before that.
Carmen stepped back into the HQ from her trip to Canterlot, a new hat upon her head and some books in her pack. She immediately went to the research room with the other girls and handed the books over. “I spoke with a friend, he said these may help. Its not exact but we may figure something out within the pages. I’ll join in just a moment, I just need to do something real quick.” She picked up another book from her shelves, looking at it briefly before going into the kitchen with the book.
She popped her head into the fridge for an egg and grabbed a large pint glass from the cabinet. She filled the glass with water and started to rub the egg all over every bit of her body she could reach. Kiros had wandered in for a snack and raised an eyebrow. “I don’t think you’re going to hatch it that way.” Carmen smirked, “No, I’m not hatching. I’m trying something. Its to see if I’ve had a hex placed on me or something. Its a little witchcraft spell, but after today, I’m trying anything.” She finished rubbing the egg over multiple times by now, she wanted to be thorough, and finally cracked it, dropping the contents of the shell into the water, crouching to be at eye level with it. She squinted and wrinkled her nose before consulting the book on any telltale signs like the white spiderwebbing in the water. She carefully twisted the glass, not wanting to disturb the egg, and hmmed. She shut the book and dumped some pepper flakes into it and paused as she picked it up. Looking towards the sink, she smirked. “Technically I should flush this buuut.. if I’m sending whatever back, why not send it back painfully?” She turns on the garbage disposal and dumped the peppered eggy water down the drain, listening to it scramble and mix as it grinds.
“And why do you think someone put a hex on you?” Kiros asked, Carmen washed the cup with salt and water before putting back on the shelf. “I met with a friend while I was out getting some books and they said he saw darkness in my aura, that I changed.. I know there is trauma I’m healing from but darkness? I’m not sure. I still feel like me.” Her face grew uncertain and her shoulders fell a little, not wanting to admit it did have her a bit concerned. Kiros growled a low chuckle, lifting her chin with a finger, “I don’t know of any other ‘bad guy’ who has everyone saying that you have a heart of gold. And you of all people should know Gold doesn’t tarnish. Sure it may chip or break, but don’t jewelers mend it and recast it? But it still never tarnishes. If you are ever hurt enough to go evil or something, we will be right by your side, mending and recasting to bring you back to your golden glory. And whoever hurt you will have to answer to all of us because there will be no escape. You don’t have to be the monster, you have us to do that for you if need be.” Carmen smiles, nuzzling into his hand, “Why are you all so good to me? I don’t think I did much at all.” Kiros simply responded by flicking the very tip of her horn very lightly, making her eye twitch as she yelped, holding her head painfully. “You are Carmen fucking Pondiego. You rescued me from hell, gave me a home, family and a purpose. And I know you did the same for everyone else here one way or another or else they never would have stayed. So don’t you tell me that you did nothing. Besides, if you were evil, you would not have done all this for any of us. But you did. And I think that says something. Believe it or not, we love you more than anything for helping us and always being there.” Carmen smiles, poking his side, “I knew you were really a big softie.”
Just then a pulsing grinding noise was heard in the mech lab. She groaned and rushed over as M yelled out of the room “Oy Red!!” She was already jogging up, “I got it, M. I asked him to come.” The blue police box door opened and a slate blue unicorn with silver hair and wild eyebrows jutted his head out, “Alright, where is she? She called me and now where is she?”
“Cool your jets, old man, I’m right here.” Carmen made her way to the TARDIS and put her hands on her hips. The 12th Doctor narrowed his eyes at her, “You did something different.” Carmen smirked, “No shit, its called shit hitting the fan. Its what it is. Can you look at our time travel equipment? We’re really close with finishing it but I was told that if we do a test run as is, it will make us a beacon to any who wants this technology for the wrong reasons.” He raised an eyebrow, “And a thief wants it for the right reasons?” Carmen points at him, “Hey, I’m not using it to topple governments or to make my own empire! These other groups do! Heaven forbid I want to take a vacation somewhere other than here!” She crossed her arms, as he huffs and shuts the door, reopening it and exiting, “You are troublesome, you know that! Where is the blasted thing.. don’t tell me that hunk of junk is it.” M scowled, putting his hand on his chest dramatically, “I’m sorry?! I don’t fucking have the skills to make a fucking pine box like yours! I just know how to put wires together to make something blink! Its a wonder it works at all Thank you! I worked hard on this! Ya British Wanker!”
The Doctor stops and turns on his heel, “I am Scottish!” M waves him off, “Same thing before Brexit! Yer still a bloody wanker!” The Doctor got close to M, well, as close as he could. M stood a good foot above him, he pointed his sonic screwdriver at M, “I don’t need to help you. Remember that. And don’t touch my TARDIS!!” He pointed to Carmen who was leaning against the box, petting it, “Hey Darling, is he treating you well? I sure hope so, otherwise you could always come here and we could have more of our own adventures..” 079 popped its head onto a screen and rolls its eyes, “I never hear you say those things to me.” Carmen sticks her tongue out, “Maybe if you were nicer, I would.” The Doctor huffs again and turns to the panel M was showing him, and proceeds to go through a different panel. “Why the fuck are you going through that way? The wires are all right here, easy access.” The time lord unicorn muttered, “Do you solve a rubix cube by just matching the one side? I think not! Same with time, its never one sided. And never travels in a straight line.” M handed over the interdimensional matter transporter device he was still working on connecting, “Yeah? So where does this fit into it?” The Doctor pulls his head out of the panel and narrows his eyes, “Where’d you get this?” M shrugs and points over to Carmen, “Oh I received that as a gift from a friend. We need to figure out how to not only travel through time but also multiverse. I’m running out of options to find something and I’m running out of time to find it.” He looked at her suspiciously. “Who?”
“Waldo.”
“You said he was dead.”
“I said I THOUGHT he was dead. He came home recently but he’s infected and we need a cure.”
The Doctor thinks for a moment and goes back to repairing the wiring and connecting the device. “Well, best we get this up and running then. I will need two or three of your people who understand basic mechanics and tech to assist.” Carmen nods, and pages her agents “On it, Kiros, Skyggja, can you come to the mech lab? We need tech assistance.” The Doctor stood up and took his dark navy coat with red inner lining off and handed it Carmen before rolling up his sleeves as Kiros, Skyggja and Lekir walk in. Lekir stopped short as she sees the Doctor. “Oooh, Sexy Magic man is back~” Carmen hands her the coat, “Hey love, can you put this in the coat closet in the hall? It may be a while.” Lekir swoons and holds the coat as if given the highest award on the red carpet. She holds it close and sniffs it. “Mmm Sexy Magic Doctor man…” Carmen shooed her out as she also left to check on Wally, “Go on and simp on him later, he’s doing us a huge favor that I’ll owe him bigtime for. I gotta check on Wally and the research group, can you check on how the others are doing with our Stray?” Lekir pouted and nods but kept hold of the coat, sniffing it occasionally.
Carmen looked into her bedroom, then Wally’s and gasped as blue stallion was still struggling pulling out crystals. “Wally! Don’t do this by yourself! Let me help you! Ooh what a mess.. here, I’ll clean you up.” He sighed and shook his head, “I dont want to be a burden. I want you to enjoy me as me and not this monstrosity while I still have some time.” Carmen resisted slapping his shoulder, “No, you listen to me, you are going to have a long life. You hear me? You will not die on me unless I kill you first! And thats probably going to be by overloading you with love! We will find a cure. I promise. And we’ll be together for a very long time.” She grabbed some medical cleaning solutions and gauze, cleaning up the streams of blood coming from the holes the crystals had made.
“This is getting worse than anticipated..” she frets, as he nods, “I know. I want to hold out hope for a cure but.. let’s face it. I’m just going to enjoy what I have right now and make the best of it.” Carmen sniffled and continued to work. “Well I’m not giving up. And neither are you. You’re not getting away from me that easy.” He smiled, “I’m glad you have my back.” She raised an eyebrow, washing more spots of blood, “What do you mean? I’ve always had your back.” He chuckled, “No I mean, I can’t reach back there, its been killing me today..” she laughed as he moved and positioned so he could lay his head on her lap as she still works on his back. When she was done, he had dozed off, snoring softly. She removed his hat and set it aside, petting his mousey brown hair, running her silver fingers through it. She gazed at him, being lost in the single thought of how happy she was to have him there.. and slowly noticed her arms and hands started to look like her natural color save for the panel lines. She grinned as she was able to focus and make slight adjustments to the nail color and debated on waking him. She heard his breathing slow and calming, she decided to let him rest, still petting him gently as she leaned her back against the headboard and unintentionally nodding to sleep herself.

THE BOND BETWEEN US MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
< previous chapter
Word Count: 3,085ish
Summary: You, Obi-Wan, and Rex are taken to the educational center where slaves are broken.
Warnings: torture, enslavement, rape (not in detail)
Notes: This one can be a real tough one guys. Brace yourselves and read with caution.
Tumblr media
You woke up upon receiving another round of electricity. You screamed as you tried to writhe but quickly realized that you were tied up by all four limbs. As you panted, you slowly opened your eyes. You noticed that you were still in your slave outfit. You were hanging in a hot boiler room, where the people of Kiros were working as slaves. Using the Force, you could feel Obi-Wan nearby. And it wasn’t long until you heard him.
“No, stop!” Obi-Wan shouted. “It’s my mistake! Leave her alone!”
You came to realize that he was shouting for your shake. Looking around, you saw him just before you were shocked again, this time seemed more unrelenting than the last.
“Beg!” The Zygerrian guard demanded. “Beg me before she dies because of you!”
Obi-Wan got on his knees. “Please,” he begged. “Forgive me, Master.”
The electrocution stopped, allowing your body to go limp. Barely looking up, you met Obi-Wan’s gaze. Guilt was written all over his face. You wished that you could take it away, bring him some comfort, but you couldn’t find any for yourself. Obi-Wan pushed his signature to you and, due to your tired state, caused you to fall back into unconsciousness.
Obi-Wan used the Force to keep you unconscious while he worked. Every time he defied orders, you were electrocuted. Eventually, he held back. It was your life on the line and he would not endanger it more than he had already.
~~~
The next time you woke, you were chained to a bed. Each limb was tied by electric chains to one of the four posts. You could still sense Obi-Wan’s signature with you as you could also feel that you had been electrocuted more times than you remembered. Your body was weak, your heart breathing roughly in your chest. As you barely glanced around the room, you noted that this was one of the guard rooms. Due to your position and the state of your dress, still being in that slave outfit, you knew that this wasn’t a good situation to be in. You had to remain calm, no matter what happened.
Your head snapped toward the door as it slide open and the Zygerrian over the educational center floated in on his hover chair. Most of the Zygerrians were tall and skinny, this man was different. He was overweight, barely even able to walk.
“Hello my lovely Jedi,” he smirked, coming closer to the bed. “I am Agruss.” His clawed hand came out and ran up your exposed leg. “What might your name be?” You didn’t answer, simply scowling at the man. “So that is how this will be? Okay, this is something I can enjoy.” He pressed a button on his chair, causing you to be electrocuted. When he stopped, you were panting heavily again. “Let’s try this again. Your name, Jedi slave.”
“Y/N,” you rasped.
“Y/N.” A sinister grin grew on his face. “This will be fun.”
Agruss began shocking you again as he got off his chair and straight onto the bed. He crawled over you until he was hovering over your writhing body. He chuckled as he stopped the electricity, leaving you completely dazed.
“This will make it so much easier to get what I want out of you, my slave,” he whispered into your ear, fur rubbing up against your face. “I’ve heard that Jedi are often untouched. I suspect you haven’t been yet… I’m excited to be the one to introduce you to the pleasures that life has in store.”
Agruss’ mouth began traveling down your face, leaving open mouth slobbery kisses in his wake.
“Obi,” you called through the Force, trying to get some help.  “Obi, please… I need you.”
~~~
Obi-Wan was working on shoveling coal next to Rex when he heard your cry for help.
“Obi… Obi, please… I need you.”
He could feel the desperation and the fear seeping from you. As he pressed forward, Obi-Wan felt like he was going to throw up. It was clear to him that you were experiencing unwanted touching and you were too weak to do anything about it. Looking around, Obi-Wan was reminded that he was unable to do anything about it without putting the people of Kiros in danger and you. Guilt filled him at the thought that he was failing you. He pushed his signature to you with full force, hoping that it could be of some comfort. He felt you grip onto it with such desperation.
~~~
Once you grasped onto Obi-Wan’s signature, you could feel his guilt and you knew that he could not help you more than that. You were on your own. Taking a deep breath, you used the Force to move Agruss’ hand off your body as it trailed toward where no man had touched. He growled in anger as he shocked you again. This time he kept it going as he tour of your undergarment and pushed his fingers into you. Tears slipped pasted your clenched eyes as you gave into the darkness around you.
~~~
Obi-Wan felt you pass out. Your signature had lost its grip on his own. Rex watched as the Jedi Master began to silently weep as he continued working. Rex could only assume that you had to do with Obi-Wan’s current state. Despite trying to hide your relationship, Rex knew. He was never told by anyone but he had seen the way you two interacted and he knew that you two were much more than friends. His heart ached at the sight of seeing the strong and wise Jedi General, crying over you.
~~~
You were grateful to wake up alone. It allowed you time to cry without being ridiculed. You were still tied up to the bed posts. The main difference really was that you were now completely naked, your clothes having been torn off. You felt sore and pain and blood. Before Obi-Wan could sense you or worry, you closed off from him. Needing to cry alone.
You quickly began to blame yourself. You were a powerful Jedi, possibly the Chosen One. How could you have let this happen to yourself? Why didn’t you do more to stop him?
Even with shutting yourself off from Obi-Wan, all you did was long for him. His comfort. His embrace. But you knew that he would be unable to help you. He was a slave, just as you were currently.
~~~
Obi-Wan and Rex were shoved into the main control room of the educational center. Forced downstairs and onto their knees in front of a holo table and Agruss, who was floating on his chair.
“Someone wishes to speak with you,” Agruss told Obi-Wan before Count Dooku appeared in hologram form.
“Obi-Wan Kenobi,” Dooku greeted. “In chains once again, I see.”
Obi-Wan glared at the hologram. “Count Dooku, still afraid to get your hands dirty?” He retorted.
“I would gladly make an exception in your case, my friend. I wanted to say a proper farewell before Keeper Agruss puts you to death.”
“Keeper,” a Zygerrian called from his post at a screen, “the slave ship Tecora is making an unscheduled landing on platform two-four.”
“Skywalker,” Dooku stated. “Begin firing.” They wanted from the screens as Ahsoka, Anakin, and R2 were fired on, avoiding them easily. “Kenobi, tell your young friend, Skywalker, if he does not surrender, the slaves will be terminated in his name… and the Council’s precious Y/N.”
“But she is mine, Count,” Agruss said.
Obi-Wan had never felt anger like this in his life. He now knew who had made you beg for his help and who had touched you without consent. He nodded, wanting to talk with Anakin and try to save you from more pain. He at least knew you were still alive, though you had cut him off from your signature. They put a camera on Obi-Wan so that Anakin could see him.
“Anakin!” Obi-Wan exclaimed. “I’m glad to see you, but I’m afraid our host feels otherwise.”
“You can’t make everyone happy, Master,” Anakin responded.
“They’re threatening to kill the slaves and Y/N unless you surrender.”
“It’s good to see you’re always ready to negotiate. But I’ve had enough bargaining with slave drivers.”
“Anakin, you must realize this is a fight you cannot win alone.”
“Who said I was alone?”
“Keeper, a fleet of warships has dropped out of hyperspace in sector six,” a Zygerrian announced.
“Jedi reinforcements!” Agruss exclaimed.
The building started shaking as the reinforcements began firing. Obi-Wan used the Force to get himself and Rex out of the collars around their necks.
“Rex! Now!” Obi-Wan ordered.
“About time,” Rex commented.
~~~
You could feel the presence of other Jedi as the building trembled. Taking a deep breath, you used the strength you had to unchain yourself from the bed and free yourself from the collar around your neck. Clinging to yourself for modesty, you slowly sat up. You looked around to see a cloak lying on the floor. As you stood up to grab it, you immediately fell to the floor, too weak. You used the Force to pull it to you and slip it over your naked form. You were panting and trembling as you tried to reach the door to escape but were in too much pain to fully stand up. Instead, your body collapsed to the ground. You put down the shields that kept Obi-Wan from your signature and prayed to the Maker that he may find you.
~~~
Obi-Wan had never been more grateful for Rex. They had fought off the entirety of those in the main control room, leaving only Agruss left. He could see in the Zygerrian’s thoughts what he had done to you, only making him angrier. Before Obi-Wan could kill the unarmed man, Rex threw an electric spear into Agruss. He placed his lightsaber on his belt before rushing to one of the screens. He needed to locate you quickly.
Once he was sure he had found you on the map, he could feel your signature. Obi-Wan bolted from the room, Rex on his tail, as he followed the pain in your signature. It only grew with each step closer he took to you, even Rex could feel it.
When the door to the room you were in slid open, Obi-Wan found you laying face first on the ground. Without warning, he quickly picked you up and started running. You whimpered in his arms even though you knew who it was and that you were safe now.
“I’ve got you, little star,” Obi-Wan whispered. He wasn’t sure if it was more for his comfort or for yours. “I’ve got you.”
He ran out to the landing platform and jumped onto the ship that Anakin was also getting on. Anakin was speechless at the sight of your shaking form. Your eyes were closed, but tears trailed down your cheeks. Everyone on the ship could feel the pain you had endured.
Once the rescue ship was back on the cruiser, Obi-Wan immediately took you away to a private bunk room. He knew that you probably needed medical attention, but you could wait until they reached the Temple. You were clearly in too much trauma shock to handle that right now. In the private bunk, Obi-Wan went to lay you down on the bed but your fist gripped onto his dirty robes, not willing to part from him. Obi-Wan sat down on the bed, holding you closer to him as you started crying into his shoulder. He kissed your head as he murmured that you were safe now and how sorry he was. You couldn’t respond, simply sobbing into him, breaking his heart further.
~~~
Being back at the Jedi Temple brought you a slight sense of peace. Obi-Wan had immediately, and personally, taken you to the med center. He, unfortunately, couldn’t stay by your side, having his own injuries to get checked over and the nature of the injuries you needed to get looked at. Once he was checked over, he waited outside your room. His signature had stayed with you, thankful that you weren’t willing to let it go. Obi-Wan paced and sat and paced again as he waited to hear any information on you. Anakin and Ahsoka joined him as soon as they could. They all stood up straight when the medical droid exited your room.
“How is she?” Obi-Wan asked. He could feel that you were alive and knew that you weren’t mentally okay, but he also worried about you physically.
“She is on the mend,” the medical droid responded. “She needs a lot of rest. But she will heal. She is currently unconscious and will be that way for the remainder of the day. Tomorrow, she may go back to her room.”
“Can I— can we sit with her?”
“Of course.”
“I will go inform the Council,” Ahsoka said. She knew the Council would immediately get the information on you, but she was going to fight to keep you here as long as possible.
“Thank you,” Obi-Wan said before heading into the room.
Anakin stayed out in the hall to connect Padme in secret. He knew that she would want to know of your condition and come to your aide. Obi-Wan walked inside and pulled up a chair beside your bed. His hands grasped your hand that was nearest to him. He couldn’t stop the tears that sprung into his eyes, not that he really wanted to.
“I’m so sorry,” he rasped. “I’m so sorry that I couldn’t be there when you needed me… I have failed you…” He kissed your knuckles, allowing tears to fall onto your fingers.
~~~
Padme arrived at the Jedi Temple quickly and rushed to meet with the Jedi Council. Anakin had explained what had happened to you and she knew that you needed to rest away from this place. Away from the pressure of the war and the Jedi Council. Padme offered to have you stay at her place for as long as you needed and was surprised when Master Yoda readily agreed, much to the disgruntle of a few other Council members.
“Rest and recovery, our Padawan needs,” Yoda said. “Stay with you, she will.”
Anakin and Ahsoka had been in the meeting with the Council, while Obi-Wan sat vigil at your side. The Council had also agreed to allow Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka a few days off to allow them to recuperate from their latest mission. Padme, Anakin, and Ahsoka headed to the med center after the meeting to inform Obi-Wan of the news. Padme was the one to enter the room. She was saddened to see her friend—her secret sister-in-law—lying unconscious and bruised with Obi-Wan clinging to her hand.
“Hello, Obi-Wan,” Padme greeted with a soft smile.
Obi-Wan barely glanced her way, too scared to look away from you for even a second, afraid you’d disappear. “Hello, Senator,” he responded.
“I came to inform you that I have talked with the Council. They have given you, Anakin, and Ahsoka a few days of rest before your next assignments.”
“Thank you.”
“They have also approved of Y/N staying with me as she rests and recovers.” This caught Obi-Wan’s attention. He didn’t want to leave your side as much as he could help it. “You are welcome to stay there as well.”
He knew that he shouldn’t, for the shake of the Code and the Order. But screw them. You had just gone through a traumatic experience and he was going to be by your side as much as he was able to.
“Thank you, Senator,” Obi-Wan replied, turning to face Padme slightly. “I would like to take you up on that offer.”
“Great,” she smiled briefly. “I will set up a transfer to my apartment and have the guest room put together.”
~~~
You were transferred to Padme’s apartment within the hour. Obi-Wan never left your side once. He was even the one to place you onto the guest bed and tuck you in. Padme watched knowingly. She stood in the doorway as she watched Obi-Wan fuss over you.
“I hope you know that your secret is safe around here,” Padme told Obi-Wan quietly. “Please feel free to stay by her side without judgment.”
Obi-Wan nodded, unable to speak because speaking would be admitting to anyone else besides you that the two of you were breaking the Jedi Code. Padme took that as a sign to leave, letting the door slip shut behind her. Obi-Wan waited a moment before slipping his boots off and climbing into bed beside you. Your signature reacted positively as he pulled you into him to hold you as close as he could. He was careful though, knowing that you were still very injured and would probably wake up confused.
~~~
The only reason you didn’t freak out about someone holding you as you woke was that Obi-Wan’s signature was wrapped around yours. Peeking your eyes open, you saw that you were curled up against Obi-Wan’s chest. His arms were holding you securely to him, almost as if he was scared that you would disappear at any moment. You looked at his face, noticing the dark bruises and scabs that littered it. You leaned in and began to press light kisses to his injured areas. Obi-Wan slowly began to stir awake at the contact. When he opened his eyes, he was all too relieved to find you looking back at him.
“Little star…” He breathed out, carefully putting his hand up to caress the side of your face.
“Obi,” you responded softly.
He could feel in the Force how heavy your heart weighed. “Please, tell me what I can do to help you… I need to do something for not being able to get to you fast enough… please.”
You nodded, tears filling your eyes. “Just hold me right now, please. That’s all I want from you… hold me and don’t let me go.”
Obi-Wan pressed a kiss to your head. “Of course.” He pulled you closer at your bidding. “I can do that… as long as you need, little star. As long as you need.”

I agree with you wholly about Orym, but I still feel new-ish to D&D so I have a question. If the followers still have their god given abilities after their actions, then aren't the gods implicitly giving their ok on it? Wouldn't it also be a god problem? The people in that town being allowed to do things in Pelor's name and keep their powers should reflect also on him, no?
Hey! This is a really good question, and the answer is that in D&D 5e at least, it's sort of at the discretion of the DM, but the way a lot of people handle it is that the gods kind of...check in on patterns every so often, but aren't micromanaging every single follower and so you might catch someone prior to their divine performance review. It's how you reconcile the idea of free will in a world with real gods, so it gets very, admittedly, fuzzy and whatever supports the narrative.
We've seen a little bit of this play out for lesser idols with Fjord and Uk'otoa in C2 for a warlock relationship, in which Uk'otoa took away the powers temporarily as a warning, and then withdrew them permanently after Fjord explicitly broke the pact, but clerics and paladins are different and usually have more leeway. We saw a little bit of that very early in C1 with Pike, and it was discussed but didn't ultimately end up happening with Vax. Clerics and paladins often don't have a clear directive and have a lot of free will, but a pattern of behavior or a really egregious violation might lead to a warning (as Pike received - in game, she still had her powers after being warned). Retracting the powers will likely only occur after continued violations. Essentially, one only is a cleric after having a pretty good buildup of good will with a god, and they will usually give multiple chances and might be very forgiving with their clerics, perhaps to a fault.
I also want to throw in that technically, you can be a cleric (or paladin) of a concept or principle. This isn't typically the case in Exandria from what we've seen, but it is true in D&D 5e in general (this is how Eberron and Ravnica's settings work) and power comes more from one's own faith and conviction.
Now, as for whether it should reflect on the gods for other people: absolutely. Like, to be clear, I think in-game the villagers hating at the Dawnfather as well as the people perpetuating harm is valid. I think going straight to "this random complete stranger speaking to us magically telling us to kill all the gods, including those who hate the Dawnfather, is someone we should listen to" is less valid.
Finally: we don't know what Kiro's situation was - she may have been warned in the past and ignored it, or she may have been acting in accordance with broad tenets and Pelor hadn't looked on the specifics. I also want to note that we don't know the exact mechanics of the angel that appeared. My personal thought is that it was a spell (or because she's an NPC, a very specific ability) similar to Planar Ally, rather than the Dawnfather suddenly directing his attention to this singular conflict.

Current CN Situation
I believe that some of you have caught wind of the current situation in CN server, I received some asks about this too. So I will just give brief summary on this matter.
Usually one SSR card cost around 8k gems to 12k gems for chapter update. But for the current chapter update, the first 72 pull, player has a chance (50% rate) to pull the chapter update card, or get non chapter update SSR/SP. You will definitely get one chapter update SSR on the 144th pull. It works kinda like Wish Tree, but they just mask the game play of chapter update as new gameplay. Which is to say, one chapter update SSR now cost at least 22.6k, per SSR card. That's a whooping double charge up from what they have been charging previously. So players definitely opposed to it, and all united to stop whaling for this event.
They even blocked one whale player, and the explanation given was very vague. It seems more of push blame from one party to another.
Today, CN released the upcoming events for April, which once again pissed players. They are as below: [A] 4 April ZhouQiLuo/Kiro birthday event (estimated 1.8k gems to 10k gems, given if you want to get previous years card, ASMR or not), [B] Early April LiZeYan/Victor SSR Wish Tree (estimated 144 pull or 12k gems), [C] Mid April Revival of previous event SSR and top up SR cards (estimated 10k gems), [D] Late April BaiQi/Gavin SSR Wish Tree (estimated 144 pull or 12k gems) and [E] End of April a brand new Wish Tree featuring 4 Male Characters (estimated 144 pull to 576 pull, if you don't get any event SSR and require 144 per SSR redemption).
Players are disappointed that they are milking money from players for the entire month, and many believe so that this will continue to be the same for future events. So it's a mass calling/waking up for players to stop whaling in this game for now. Or at least until they decided to rectify all the mistakes (which majority think that it's impossible to).
I think that's about it?
I will continue to update on CN Events for the time being. Perhaps one day, when I really had enough of them, I will call it quit for real. Cos I'm spending more on R18 Light and Night by TC and Life Makeover. And the upcoming KR R18 game. Till then girls~

Only now I see the tiny spoiler of the fanfic and is so hilarious neither Erika nor Lance can catch a break😂😂😂
By the way, I am curious about one thing. Of all the otome games you have played, can you do a ranking of all your favorite crushes?
We players/readers are all a little masochists after all 🫠
A ranking of the crushes of ALL the games I've ever played?? That’s a lot! I can mention maybe only the ones I remember because I've played a tons of japanese otome in the years and I will never remember everyone 😅. And we're talking about the crushes specifically, right? Meaning their looks and personality not the route/story. It's a bit too complicated to assign a number to rank each of them so I'm dividing them between: love, really like, okay, meh, dislike (in no particular order, just by game).
Love ❤️😍
Ashkore - Eldarya (I KNOW I know he doesn't have a route ok but he should’ve had one and I'm deluded when it comes to him so he stays here as he should 😤 )
Valkyon - Eldarya
Castiel - MCL
Armin - MCL
Lysander - MCL
Victor - MLQC
Neil - Moonlight Lovers
Ethan - Moonlight Lovers
Aaron - Moonlight Lovers
Really like 🥰
Nevra - Eldarya
Kentin - MCL
Nathaniel - MCL (mostly thanks to UL, because in HSL he often pissed me off)
Gavin - MLQC
Arthur - Ikevamp
Jean- Ikevamp
Okay 🙂
Ezarel - Eldarya
Leiftan - Eldarya (I have complicated feelings for this guy)
Rayan - My Candy Love
Beliath - Moonlight Lovers
Vladimir - Moonlight Lovers
Kiro - MLQC
Lucien - MLQC (I have the same complicated feelings for him as I have for Leif)
Napoleon - Ikevamp
Mozart - Ikevamp
Meh 😐
Mathieu - Eldarya
Hyun - MCL
Eric - MCL
Priya - MCL
Dislike 💀
Ivan - Moonlight Lovers
Raphael - Moonlight Lovers
*I'm only considering the real version of the crushes from most of TO when it comes to Eldarya (except for Mathieu obviously).
**I am pretty sure that Theo and Faust from Ikevamp would go into the 'really like' category at the very least if I played their routes, which hopefully I will eventually.

i agree! it's very frustrating that so many people insist it's "ludinus is right, kill them all!" versus "they're all 100% good"
im glad to hear the support, anon. i feel like the cr fanbase has gotten more into theorizing & meta this campaign than last, which im deeply happy about, but i feel like it's come at a cost of not many actually.... analyzing well, beyond their own biases, which is vital.
something interesting to me is how i feel like the very story of c3 itself is partly about how vasselheim is so utterly focused on ludinus as a threat (which, he is undoubtedly one) that they have repeatedly enforced worse & failed in their efforts against him (literally occupying & preparing to obliterate marquet via airship just to get to him and getting eviscerated, kiro's rage about ludinus making her accuse orym of being with him which leads to our current mess). continually vasselheim refuses to assist or care for any other country or party that isnt wholly aligned to their goal. meanwhile in similar nature, the fandom is so completely sure that lud is a liar & a loser that anyone with an idealogy a few degrees south of his is seen as a threat instantly - the fanbase is so mad that this campaign is "anti god" that they're missing the most poignant pro faith statements characters have because they aren't paladins in shining armor plunging a spear into da'leth praising bahamut as they do so - but rather common-people as they try to embrace faith despite trauma & actual godkilling times. and it's at times frankly deeply uncomfortable, considering the characters deemed threats & whose views on faith have been cast aside have been deanna & frida (who have absolutely been treated weirdly to points of racism to their actors), & pagan natives oppressed by what matt outright stated were missionaries.
but in the same uncomfortability zone are people so consumed by their own personal biases with very obvious culturally christian religious trauma (i say this as someone with it too) that they cannot realize ludinus is partially metaphor for everyone who escapes christianity, thinks they're superior for it, but never for a moment unpacks the colonialist doomsday mindset that came with it. i admit i see this far less than the other side, so i dont see it as so much of a concern, but when i do it is unsettling - ludinus is so clearly showcasing far right tactics of alienation & preying on trauma to get people to join his cult, and real people are falling for it. matt has said that religion & art are connected & vital - when aeor fully stepped away from religion it became almost artless. you cannot strip something so important to humanity's core away because of your own experiences - your personal trauma is important but does not mean your bigotry or bias is justified and i feel that message is radiant in c3.
i think this campaign poses some of the most interesting questions on forgiveness & responsibility because, while it's impossible not to draw similarities in how mortals deal with religion, the exandrian pantheon itself cannot be viewed through our world's lens. the gods were warlords who nuked an entire city (that was fighting amongst itself!) to nothing because a few mages posed a threat to them. but afterwards they receded, & locked themselves away. what does that say about them? what does it mean now? do they deserve to be saved? does art surpass its creators? i want to explore these themes so much, and i love that campaign 3 is trying to in vibrant ways - i just hate that so few people want to embrace it & the changes to the fictional world that will come with it, because it's impossible to look past our own noses & embrace more than our own perspective even regarding fiction.
