My MLQC Experience Log#1
Tumblr media
Welcome to my somewhat reaction, I just want to gush about this game. I didn't know anything about this game but I like the art and premise so yeah!
I am not gonna get attached to these characters real quick no I am not
First time doing this let's go
First things first, hello our cute MC❤️
Tumblr media
I must admit I did not expect we would run a company let alone our parents died???? But glad to know we have a backstory for ourselves
Another thing that surprised me was that they did voice acting in English!
Unfortunately, we didn't meet Victor in person but the first one we did meet was KIRO!...Oh no....I'm in trouble
Tumblr media
Sir you smell like sunshine and that innocent smile is making me melt
You are literally shinning aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh🔅
also-
Tumblr media
Don't do this Kiro (Childhood) friends-to-lovers trope is my weakness so don't add more fuel to the fire but sure I can give the prize card inside the potato chips. He's so extroverted!! But he's so sweet 💕
After our separate ways, we try going back to our company and-
Tumblr media
Hello there Victor sudden entrance but thanks for saving me. (Wait what do you mean I am an Evol?) Sadly it was short but now it's Gavin!!!
Tumblr media
Wait!! Gavin!!...you just left
Okay new plan for the last episode of Miracle Finder instead of Kiro it's Lucien the Professor but
Tumblr media
Not only that he was really good at being cheeky and a tease I might have gone red from that conversation alone! Can you blame me? The man slowly whispered in our ear and hahahahahahaha😳
Tumblr media
Okay👍
Luckily He agreed to be on the show and I like this side of him as well
Tumblr media
aaaaawww 10/10 Domestic life Husband material
After finishing the last episode some good news!
Tumblr media
I didn't mention this earlier but the side characters have sprites, some even have voices which is really nice
Now we report the good news to our boss, negotiate and-
Tumblr media
Can we trick him with puppy eyes? Oh he's a cat person sadge : (
Okay, seriously both Lucien and Victor's voices are so soothing to hear can you record an audiobook for us? no wait I would sleep through it
Though this is funny
Tumblr media
I really like Victor, he's the right amount of tsundere that I like it's cute. Sadly he had the last laugh
Tumblr media
We are going through places so fast and this is chapter 2 But we get to meet Gavin now!
Tumblr media
You faced Victor you'll be fine...wait he works as a cop?
Tumblr media
WAIT! WAIT! WAIT! WAIT! GAVIN! WE ARE CHILDHOOD FRIENDS :D !!!!!
But at the same time aaawww Gavin what happened? What blood-soaked letter? I need to know more!!! (Also that scar, he doesn't hide it)
Tumblr media
Hahahahahahaha I'm sorry why are you a lot cuter now? The fact we go to the same school and even after all these years? Shoot weren't we here on assignment?
Tumblr media
After that investigation, there is this
Tumblr media
It's sweet only to realize it's a tracker(Actually don't mind this, no I am not delulu) But hey the sentiment is there!
Tumblr media
Now to report to Victor! But if he was my boss in real life I swear to you unless he makes moves first I would just be talking business and nothing else
Tumblr media
I know we are in the entertainment industry but man our life is dramatic
Tumblr media
Dammit why do you have to be our boss, still would romance you though, and 0 to 100 real quick
Tumblr media
You call us from time to time and I wonder why Victor is so uh..."soft" to us. Don't stop though keep calling and texting even how much you deny it 💗
Tumblr media
After that Business deal, we went out and dun dun dun trouble
!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hooray! The sweet release of death! /j (Seriously I am joking but a lot of people want us dead)
Luckily Gavin (and Lucien's advice) saves the day!
Tumblr media
I know the main story is linear but I still feel spoiled by all these CGs it feels unreal
Also did not expect I would fall for Gavin this hard, look at that warm smile!!! :D
Tumblr media
It's nice to know we are still wearing our tracker, no I still don't mind this (Okay maybe I am a little delulu but let me have this)
Tumblr media
I will gush on you later my sweet Kiro for now I will add you to the list of my bundle of sunshine characters I love and adore(It's a small list but I adore them aahhhhh)
Chapter two is done!
That's about it I haven't even touched the dates and events heck there are so many I just wanted to focus on the main story, for now, I need to figure out the game mechanics and grind to level up my cards
I should have looked at a tutorial first but now I will!!
@jozhenji , @celiciaa must taggy tag you :D

Summer’s Covenant Date [CN Translation]
Tumblr media

notes: This translation was done with Google Translate. 9 time out of 10 it spews none sense so I had to take my best guess on a lot. Take everything with a grain of salt!! Special thanks to the best person in the world, @hopelesstotstan for proofreading!
Tumblr media
[Part 1]
MC: Uh… So sleepy…
I opened my eyes with difficulty and used the person next to me to straighten up with one hand.
Even when I was on vacation with Victor, the long flight still made me unconsciously fall into a deep sleep.
Victor: Finally got enough sleep?
MC: Hehe, it’s so comfortable to sleep next to you… now what time is it?
I rubbed my eyes and looked at the laptop on Victor’s lap, wanting to glance at the time.
There seemed to be a file full of pictures and text on the screen. But before I could see it clearly, Victor closed the computer and reached out to open the window shutters.
Victor: See for yourself.
MC: What… Wow!
A bright golden streak of sunlight at the end of the cloud breaks into sight, and the quiet sunrise is extremely beautiful.
I woke up completely, picked up my phone to take pictures, and glanced at Victor.
MC: Speaking of which, why did you suddenly take me out on vacation?
MC: Could it be my reward for doing well recently?
Victor: Wasn’t someone talking about the end of summer?
Victor: Just this time, I’ll give you a chance to do it all over again.
I blinked and recalled the “encounter” when I said this sentence before—
While going out on location to film under the hot sun, three colleagues suffered from heatstroke one after another. Two colleagues fell ill at the same time, and a machine fell out of order.
Almost all of the late summer was devoted to work, and it was not until the breath of autumn turned the leaves gold that this busy time finally came to an end.
The leisurely activities and travel plans originally written in the summer plan were all wasted.
One day when I came home disheartened, I saw Victor packing a suitcase that I hadn’t packed for a while and suddenly felt wronged.
I couldn’t help shouting “I don’t like summer anymore”, and just stood there crying…
Now thinking of Victor’s surprised gaze at that time, I scratched my cheek in embarrassment.
MC: All those angry words… how do you remember…
Victor: After all, some people kept whining until winter, and it’s hard not to remember.
Victor: What’s more, with such a clear and feasible demand, there is no reason not to make it come true.
As if sensing my embarrassment, Victor raised his hand and rubbed my hair. I couldn’t help raising my smiling face, pretending to hold his hand solemnly.
MC: CEO Victor!
MC: Don’t worry, I will try my best to cover all the unhappiness from before!
[Part 2]
Sunglasses, skirts, fresh fragrance—
I took one last look in the mirror and patted my cheek with satisfaction.
Enjoying summer, of course, starts with dressing up beautifully. It would be even better if you can also fascinate the calm Mr. Li!
I adjusted my expression, opened the door of my room, and prepared to make my debut.
MC: Victor, I—
Victor: Ready?
The voice that sounded at the same time made me stunned for a moment, and before I had the time to feel sorry for my failed appearance, my attention was attracted by the person next to the sofa.
Victor seemed to have been waiting for a while, the computer at hand was still on, and he closed the screen when he saw me come out.
He rarely wore a fancy resort-style shirt, perhaps because he was used to his usual minimalist style. The colorful patterns looked particularly bright on him.
Although it has been a long time, I still recognized at a glance that it was the shirt I bought him.
I still remember his slightly helpless expression when he first received it, but I didn’t expect that I would really see the day he puts it on!
I hopped to his side, pulled his arm, and looked at him left and right.
MC: This shirt suits you very well!
Victor: I can’t think of another person with this peculiar taste.
MC: Isn’t that because there are people who can pull off these kinds of “outlandish clothes”~
MC: I haven’t seen you wearing it, I thought you didn’t like it.
Victor: I just didn’t find a chance to wear it.
I met his calm gaze and couldn’t help raising my eyebrows at him.
MC: I understand! What Mr. Li means is that we should go to the beach a few more times in the future!
MC: You can rest assured that I am here to ensure that your floral shirts can maximize their value.
Victor: Idiot. Is that the point?
Victor: Let’s have enough sun this time before talking about the future, so as not to leave any regrets.
MC: Mr. Li is right. It shouldn’t be too late, let’s go out now!
I took his arm and was about to go out, but Victor hesitated for a moment, turned around, and took a big backpack.
I watched him put the computer in, and then he took the items from my hand.
Victor: Put your things in here first. Some people will definitely lose them after running around.
MC: Some people don’t forget to complain about others even if they are kind enough to help…
I muttered while helping him organize his backpack, and took a second look at the computer that was inseparable from him.
MC: Victor, do you still have unfinished work?
Victor: Still a little bit. It will be taken care of soon.
It has been a long time since we got off the plane. Judging from his usual efficiency, this must be a lot of work.
Could it be that he decided to accompany me on vacation temporarily before work can be scheduled?
A trace of guilt rose from the bottom of my heart. I hugged him lightly and glanced at the clock beside me.
MC: Don’t worry. Work is important.
MC: It’s still early. How about I go around by myself first, and you can finish your work at ease and then meet up? How does that sound?
Victor hesitated for a moment, then nodded.
Victor: Okay. Don’t go too far, and keep in touch.
MC: No problem!
[Part 3]
I thought Victor would stay in the room to deal with work, but I didn’t expect him to come to the beach with me.
I was collecting shells by the sea, and he continued to work in a hammock not far from the shore.
[Flashback]
MC: Are you going to work here?
Victor: What is the problem?
MC: It doesn’t suit your style to work in such a noisy place.
MC: Could it be…
I paused on purpose, leaned closer to him, and blinked.
MC: Am I so good-looking today that someone can’t take their eyes off me?
Faced with my teasing, Victor just smiled lightly without averting his gaze.
Victor: I’m just afraid that some dummy will get lost and I will have to find someone else.
[Flashback ends]
Recalling the conversation just now, I puffed up my mouth somewhat unconvinced.
There is just a coastline here, where can I get lost?
I turned my head, and I could see the slightly fancy shirt under the tree from a distance.
The person leaning on the hammock didn’t seem to notice me, so I took the opportunity to make a face, only to meet Victor’s gaze in the next second.
MC: !
Victor: ?
Even from a distance, being stared at by him like this made me a little guilty, and I hurriedly gestured to him and mouthed a sentence.
MC: “Concentrate!”
I don’t know if he understood it, but I saw him faintly smile and then turned his eyes back to the computer.
I breathed a sigh of relief and was about to continue my walk when suddenly a group of boys who looked like middle school students ran past me.
They wore uniform jerseys with the words “Youth Training” printed on the back. The leading boy proficiently took the soccer ball under his feet and called out to his friends behind him.
Boy: Come on! There’s no one here!
They ran towards a nearby net, appearing to be playing beach soccer.
Seeing that this place is going to become more lively, working in this environment will be difficult for even Victor, right?
MC: I’ll ask him if he wants to change places.
I put away the shells I picked up along the way, and quietly approached Victor, bypassing the children playing soccer.
However, when I saw the familiar figure clearly, I soon realized that my worry was unnecessary.
Tumblr media
Victor was half leaning in the hammock, wearing earphones, as if he was talking to someone.
Not knowing if he encountered a difficult problem, he scratched his hair unconsciously, revealing a trace of entanglement in his serious expression.
Victor: Is there anything else I need to do that day?
Victor: …Okay, let’s adjust it like this.
A low voice faintly floated into my ears. The sea breeze was blowing gently, and the sun fell on him through the shade of the trees, but it didn’t disturb him at all.
Although it was inappropriate, my eyes were still firmly attracted by the person in front of me.
His fluffy hair brushed against his fingers, and the light shirt hugged his waist tightly with the sea breeze.
I unconsciously slowed down, wanting to peek a little longer.
I’ve seen him at work a lot, but it doesn’t seem to be common to see him on vacation.
With the noise around, he leaned on a soft and comfortable hammock, and still stared at the computer so intently…
I couldn’t help but speculate about what kind of work and what kind of clients would be able to disturb Mr. Li who was on vacation.
??: Hey—watch out!
Before I could think about it, there was a call from behind, and I suddenly felt something lightly hit my ankle.
I looked down and there was a soccer ball at my feet. I looked over to the school boys and they were waving at me to kick the ball back.
MC: It’s a little far away…
I was a little embarrassed looking at the shoes on my feet. I subconsciously looked at Victor, and my brain suddenly had an idea.
I don’t know if he still plays soccer now. If the ball is passed to him, how will he react?
I cleared my throat, trying to get his attention.
MC: Victor!
Seeing him looking up, I lightly kicked the ball to him and pointed to the children not far away.
MC: They accidentally kicked the ball away, can you help pass it back?
Victor: I can.
Victor didn’t seem to notice my thoughts. He put down the computer and turned over, naturally aiming in the direction of the goal.
Then he took a step back, raised his leg, and kicked hard—
The ball drew a perfect arc in the air and flew towards the goal.
Seeing this, the boys started running. One of them ran to the goal, jumped high, and kicked the ball. It went straight into the goal!
Boy: Nice shot!
MC: Wow! Goal!!
The schoolboys cheered and hugged each other, and I also cheered and rushed toward Victor.
Victor: Be careful!
MC: That’s amazing! As expected of Older Brother Vic who kicked down my sandcastle!
Victor: …Are you praising someone?
MC: Hey, have you been playing soccer since then? Why haven’t I seen it?
Victor: I don’t…
MC: Oops I should have filmed it! Can you kick it again later?
Victor: …
I wanted to say something more, but Victor swept me off my feet and put me in the hammock.
Victor: Why are you so excited?
MC: I didn’t expect to see you play soccer. I feel very pleasantly surprised.
Victor: Even if it is a surprise, it is too easy for you to be satisfied.
MC: Because it’s all about you. Wearing the clothes I chose and doing things I’ve never seen before is a surprise to me.
MC: How about it? Isn’t this very touching?
I cupped Victor’s cheek and pinched it, but he didn’t hide, just left a chuckle in my palm.
Victor: Is there anything more I can want?
MC: Hmm… not for now.
Victor: Okay, then I will answer you one by one.
Victor: I started playing less soccer after breaking your sandcastle, less after working.
Victor: So that kick just now was pure luck, there is no second time.
MC: But…
Before I could finish speaking, Victor leaned over and turned off the computer. He then flipped through the shells in my hands with his fingers.
Victor: Our reservation for the water sports that you wanted to play is soon. Let’s go there together.
MC: Are you done with your work?
Victor: Yes, it’s taken care of.
Victor: Let’s go. Show me what treasures you picked up along the way.
[Part 4]
The short vacation passed quickly, and it was already our last night in a blink of an eye.
After dinner, Victor and I walked along the beach. Today’s weather is exceptionally nice, the night sky is clear, and the broken stars reflect in the sparkling sea.
A perfect vacation in every sense, even the ending. Looking at the scenery in front of me, I couldn’t help but sigh.
Victor: What’s wrong?
MC: I was thinking, this summer is really coming to an end, and there is no chance for me to regret it.
Victor: It seems that it is nosy to make up for your regrets.
MC: Not at all!
MC: It’s rare that Mr. Li is so proactive in cooperating with my sense of ritual, but I’m not moved yet.
I shook his arm fawningly. Victor chuckled lightly and held my hand.
Victor: Tell me, what kind of ceremony did you originally envision?
MC: Actually, it is almost the same as now. Enjoying the warm sunshine and cold drinks, and stepping into the water with your favorite people.
MC: After a leisurely day, it would be even better if you can watch the fireworks at the beach.
Victor: Fireworks?
Victor showed a thoughtful expression, and I waved my hands hastily.
MC: I just said it casually, just to make a deep impression.
Victor: However, it is indeed a good arrangement.
The person next to me seemed to smile a little, and I was about to ask more when I caught a glimpse of an unfamiliar scene out of the corner of my eye.
It was an area enclosed by a small fence and the small gate was ajar, which looked a bit strange on the flat beach.
MC: What is this? I haven’t seen it before while walking around.
Victor: Go and have a look.
I followed Victor and approached. I looked at Victor from outside the fence, but I stretched out my hand and pushed the door open.
There is nothing special in the enclosed area, except for a few rows of black shadows with small red lights on the ground.
MC: This is…
I felt that these black shadows look familiar, but the sky is too dark, and I can’t see clearly.
Just as I was about to get closer to confirm, the “black shadow” suddenly took off.
A slight hum lingered in my ears, and I instantly recognized it as a drone.
MC: Why are there drones here?
I looked around subconsciously but saw no one nearby. I vaguely had some guesses in my heart. I turned my head and glanced at Victor.
MC: Could it be…
Victor: Look up first.
He didn’t return my gaze, just squeezed my hand. I tried my best to suppress my curiosity and looked up at the sky with him.
The drones slowly arranged a pattern in the air, and I took a closer look. It was a small Shiba Inu.
MC: Hahaha, this looks like the doll I gave you.
Victor: Not too stupid.
MC: The next pattern… is pudding!
MC: Wait, aren’t these patterns all my favorite things?
Victor: You can guess.
MC: Then I guess the next one is Mr. Li’s red wine!
I opened my eyes expectantly and looked at the sky, only to be greeted by a camel.
Victor: Unfortunately, alcohol was not approved.
MC: Watching the drone show without getting drunk…
I muttered softly, subconsciously wrapping my arms around Victor.
The patterns in the sky are all related to me without exception. Kittens, bowknot hairpins, lipstick…
The memories of spending the summer together are brought back again and again, and those bright days spread a happy background in my memory, making the corners of my mouth uncontrollably curl up.
Looking at those colorful patterns, I gently tickled his palm.
MC: When was this prepared? The pattern is quite cute, not like Mr. Li’s style.
Victor: If it is not cute enough, I am worried that dummies will not appreciate it, so I adjusted it many times.
MC: I won’t… huh?
I was about to refute when I realized something.
MC: You have been staring at the computer busy with work before, so you are not talking about this, are you?
Victor smiled and squeezed my hand.
Victor: Let’s watch it first.
After all the patterns were spelled out, the drone flickered like a star for a moment, then moved slowly again.
I carefully watched and read out word by word—
MC: [In English] “See you next year”...
MC: Is this a message from summer?
Victor: It can be understood in this way.
Victor: Unpleasant things will always pass, and the life you look forward to will come again.
Victor: So there is nothing to regret. Instead of struggling for so long, you should just tell me what you want.
MC: But even if I didn’t say anything, you have it all considered.
MC: There are even plenty of surprises!
I pointed to the sky and tugged on his shirt again.
MC: Maybe you have a better understanding of me than I do.
Victor: Fool. Willing to bid farewell to summer this time?
I nodded vigorously, then shook my head again.
MC: It is true that I can let it go willingly now, but I will still look forward to the next summer!
The hovering drones landed back on the ground and parked neatly beside us.
Victor looked down at me, his deep voice overwhelmed the waves and reached the bottom of my heart.
Victor: That’s good. After all next time when summer comes…
Victor: I don’t want to be the only one looking forward to it.

An Office Redecoration
Genre: Pure fluff, baby!
Word Count: 1.4k
Warnings: N/A
Author's note: I almost didn't finish this in time for Victor's birthday, but I did! A little self-indulgent fic for my first muse's birthday. Happy Birthday, Victor! Tagging: @darlingdummycassandra/@darling-dummy-blogs, @otome-and-fanfiction
Tumblr media
It takes a lot of convincing for Victor to attend a lunch meeting; it took even more to convince him to participate in a lunch meeting on his birthday, no less. Reluctantly, Victor agreed, leaving his office empty for 3 hours—just enough time for Nicole to come in and redecorate for his birthday. Something she enjoyed doing every time this particular day came around.
Before they got together, Victor rarely celebrated his birthday - it was just another day to him, nothing special about getting older. Now, she makes it a point to make a big deal about it, to celebrate him and show him that he is worthy of celebrating the day. Today, she planned to decorate his office when he returns, complete with a red velvet cake she baked herself and presents - some homemade, most bought.
She was on her way to his office when she saw him coming out of the elevator. “Hey you, where are you off to?”
Victor faintly smiles, quite happy to see her, before walking over to her and kissing her gently. “I have a meeting I need to attend, which unfortunately means we’re going to have to reschedule our lunch, sweetheart. I’m sorry.”
Nicole frowns, pretending as if she didn’t already know. “Oh no, that’s okay, my love. We can just have a dinner date when you've finished work. You should get going, can’t have Mr. Punctual running late.”
Victor lets out a chuckle before he gives her one last peck on the cheek before he heads out the main doors, leaving her alone. She texts her friends Violet and Cassie that the coast is clear and to come on in with the rest of the belongings. Nicole hops into the elevator, intending to meet her friends in his office. Also, because she has a key, she can unlock it.
Cassie and Violet get up to his office after 5 minutes, decorations and presents in hand, ready to transform his borning, minimalist office into a colourscape of decorations. Placing everything in a giant pile on his desk, the three girls set to work, Nicole decorating his desk, Violet standing on the couch to hang streamers from the ceiling, and Cassie ensuring the table was set up and organized with the gifts and cake. They talked, laughed, and often wasted time, making a task that should have only taken them 2 hours at most take them over 3 hours.
The sound of Victor clearing his throat caused the girls to jump. The 3 of them turn and look at him sheepishly, waiting for the verbal whipping they are about to receive. “And what do you 3 think you are doing?”
“It was Nik’s idea! I swear!” Cassie says, quickly hiding behind Nicole while Violet tries to sneak out behind Victor while he is distracted. “She wanted to do something special! She paid me to do it!”
“Thanks for throwing me under the bus, woman!” Nicole chuckles, walking over to her husband and placing a hand on his chest. “I wanted to do something special for your birthday; Vi and Cassie were more than willing to lend a hand and help me celebrate you. They even got you a few things. Let them all easy; it was my idea.”
“Yeah! Listen to your wife! Let us off easy, or I’m taking my gift back!” Violet says from the door. Victor turns to her, levelling her with his gaze. She squeaks before dashing out of the room, Cassie hot on her heels. “Love you, Nikki! If you’re still alive, text me later!” Violet calls from down the hall.
Nicole rolls her eyes before looking back at Victor, getting a read of him. “They really are innocent; this whole thing was my idea, love. Including the lunch meeting, I’m sorry, I just wanted to surprise you.”
Victor scans the room, looking at the carefully made decorations, the photos of them together lining his desk, and the 35 gifts all placed on the table and floor in the corner. “You didn’t have to do this for me, darling.” He says, regarding her again with a soft look in his eyes. She always found a way to make him feel loved.
“Both Cassie and Violet got you a couple of things, too, as a thank you for everything you’ve done for them. Although they never asked me, so lord only knows what they gave you.” Nicole laughs before walking over to the table and pouring Victor a drink. “As annoying as they can be, they both love you.”
Victor follows her, taking the drink from her hand and looking at the wide assortment of gifts before him before picking up a small, unassuming bag. “Text them to come back; they helped you; they should be here to celebrate, too. Plus, I’m going to need someone to clean up with. I’m dealing with your ass.” He chuckles, taking a sip.
It didn’t take long before Violet and Cassie were back in his office, drinks in their hand, sitting on the couch as Victor began opening his gifts, grabbing the same unassuming bag from before. “That looks like Violet’s handwriting.” he chuckles before opening it, seeing a lump of black fabric at the bottom. Further inspection reveals it's an apron that reads Mr. Good Looking is Cooking.
Victor looks at her as she fights the urge to contain her laughter. “You need to wear that the next time we are over for dinner! It’ll be so good!”
Victor rolls his eyes before reaching for another gift, a small package with Cassie’s name on it. He opens it to see several regular, sophisticated-looking ties until he reaches the last one. Pulling it out, he holds up a tie adorned with several different cat faces. Cassie points to one particularly grumpy-looking cat, “Look! It’s Victor!” Cassie laughs before pointing out the other cats. “The cute fluffy little kitten is me; Violet is the orange cat, and Nikki is the sophisticated-looking cat!’
Victor glares at her while she smiles innocently. “This is why you’re the grumpy cat, Victor!” She whines, hiding behind Nicole.
“You two are menaces, you know that?” Victor groans before letting out a small chuckle. They may be menaces, but he really did appreciate their gifts. He opens one of Nicole’s gifts next, hoping it isn’t something ridiculous but not putting it past her. “Tie clips and cuff links, thank you, my love.” Victor smiles, placing them down beside him.
***
Hours pass, the cake devoured and all the gifts are unwrapped, save for 2 - a bottle of whisky from Cassie, more ties from Violet, as well as some Shiba Inu plushies from her as well. All 3 of them got him cooking-related items or something food-related. His wife gave him a subscription to a whisky club plus new whisky glasses to go with it, a new leather wallet, and a few more odds and ends.
The two remaining gifts wait on the table as Victor and Nicole say goodbye to Violet and Cassie, shutting the door after they leave.  “Why did you want me to save those two for after they’re gone, darling?” Victor asks, walking her back to the couch and taking the two gifts off the table as he goes by.
“Those two are quite special; I wanted to get your genuine reaction, not your measured ones with the others here.” She smiles, watching as he tears open the smaller of the two, revealing a silver and black Rolex Sky-Dweller watch.
“Baby…this is beautiful. I love it so much. Thank you.” He says, pulling her in for a kiss. He breaks the kiss, resting his forehead against hers. “You’ve been so good to me this year, my love. I don’t know how to thank you.”
“There’s still one more, darling. This is my favourite gift, actually.” She hands him the last gift, her hands trembling slightly with nervous anticipation. Victor carefully opens it, revealing a black leather-bound book. Opening the front cover, he’s greeted with the photo they took on their first date. Flipping through the pages, pictures of them together at events, photos from dates, and even a few of their wedding photos line the pages.
Victor’s eyes well with tears, looking at the memories and sweet little notes and drawings she added. “I…don’t know what to say, my love. I think this is the best gift I have ever received. I love you so much it hurts. I don’t know what I did to deserve such a perfect wife, but you made my birthday so special. I am never going to forget this day. Thank you.”

A Birthday Surprise...?- Victor Li
Tumblr media
Cassandra tries to plan a birthday surprise with her daughter for her beloved husband while he is away on business the day of his birthday. Unaware of the fact that he ended up returning home earlier than she expected…
Word Count: 1.3k
Notes:
It's been a while since I've posted haha.. I've taken a break from writing due to my personal life unfortunately
And recently, my account has been giving me issues in receiving messages with friends so I've been dealing with that lately as well
But those issues aside, of course, I had to post something for my favorite and beloved CEO~ How could I not!
Happy Birthday, My Love!, My Greatest Miracle, May this day fill you with happiness and contentment. I am forever grateful to you for being in my life. <3
Told in Cassandra's POV.
Enjoy~
“Mommy, Mommy!”
My four-year-old toddler squeals, scrambling into the kitchen where I was briefly tending to the cake propped on a cake stand. Looking down at my daughter, I smiled.
“Yes, my sweet girl? What is it?”
“I finished wrapping Daddy’s gift! Look!”
She beams excitedly, feeling quite proud of her work, she removes her tiny arms from behind her back, revealing the wrapped gift in question, wrapped up in crinkled wrapping paper topped with a slightly uneven and off-centered bow. Her wrapping skills were most definitely not the greatest but for a four-year-old, it seemed pretty up to par. I couldn’t help but let out a soft giggle at her attempt to wrap the gift she got for him.
“It looks beautiful, baby. You did such a good job! Daddy will love it.”
“Yay!” She bounced up and down cheerfully, her soft raven curls bouncing everywhere as she did so.
“Go put your gift with the others in the living room, sweetie. Then you can help me with the  finishing touches to the cake.” I tell her with a smile, ruffling her hair with my free hand.
“Okay!” She dashed back to the living room whilst I continued decorating the last finishing touches of frosting.
For his birthday cake, I made a 3 layered vanilla cake, topped with a homemade buttercream frosting dyed a vibrant red and decorated with a white chocolate drip along the top. I then added a simple buttercream border to the bottom of the cake and as well as little dollops to the top of the cake. All Isa needed to do was add the sliced strawberries to those dollops and the cake would be complete.
Isabella comes rushing back into the kitchen and right over to me.
“I’m ready!” She beams, excitedly. She’s been so excited for his birthday all week, she could hardly contain herself. I couldn’t help but smile, lifting her up into my arms.
“Alright, you get to be the lucky one to finish decorating the cake. All you need to do is add these little strawberries to these little guys right here. Can you do that for Mommy?”
She nods, “Yes!”
I handed her a strawberry slice, which she took happily, as I then leaned her closer to the cake so she could place it. She focused entirely on placing it carefully on the first dollop of buttercream, before repeating the same process with the others.
“Good girl! You did a great job!” I said looking over her work before smiling at her, showering her cheek with kisses once she finished.
Isa only giggled happily, wrapping her tiny arms around me, in a gentle hug.
“Come on now, let’s bring this cake to the living room. We have to go pick up Daddy soon from the airport,” I tell her, as I set her down. Isa nods as she heads back to the living room excitedly, only to see her father, Victor standing in the doorway of the living room looking at all the colorful decorations that were scattered throughout the living room–from various colors of balloons along the railing of the stairs, the streamers scattered throughout the room and along the wall, to a large and shiny ‘happy birthday’ banner hung up along the windows with a surprised expression on his face.
When she noticed him, her face lit up with joy as she immediately ran over to him,
“Daddy! You’re home!” She cheers happily, practically throwing herself into his arms.
Victor’s expression changes from one of surprise to one of contentment as he lifts up his daughter into his arms, showering her in kisses.
“Hello princess, I’ve missed you so much.” He smiled, as she hugged him tightly, giggling as she received several more kisses from him.
“I missed you too!”
Upon hearing his voice, I immediately left the kitchen, surprised that he was standing there in the living room and confused as to how he got home sooner than I expected him to. With the cake stand in my hand, I briefly set it down on the coffee table beside the gifts, as my mind questioned how he got home before we could leave to pick him up. I could have sworn I had more time…
When did his flight come in? How did he get home??
Trying to hide my confusion, I shake off the questions lingering in my head and walk over to greet him, smiling.
“ Hi, my love! I didn’t know you’d be here already.. We were just about to go pick you up from the airport, why didn’t you let me know you landed?”
Victor set down Isa, letting her go play with her toys whilst he pulled me into his arms, smiling with a chuckle,
“There’s my beautiful wife, I did, but I did not get a response from you. So I had Goldman drive me back home instead. I did not expect to see all this when I came in though..”
“Well…Surprise..?” I laughed slightly, “I was planning to keep it as a surprise for when we got back home… but then you came home..” I pouted slightly, a little saddened that the surprise didn't go as planned.
He pulled me into a soft kiss, one I couldn't help but melt into, smiling once we pulled away.
 “I was still surprised, my love. I can tell you both worked very hard on this. Thank you. I did have a feeling you'd plan something like this.” He chuckles.
“Of course, I would! This is such an important day to me. I will always celebrate this day for as long as I am with you, my love. This day is the day you were born. Today, I get to show how much I love and appreciate you being in my life. How much you being alive has made my own life a much better place. How much I love celebrating you. This is the one day a year that will always be special to me, just like how you and Isabella are special to me. I love you. Happy Birthday.” I softly say, kissing him gently once more.
Victor smiled against my lips, returning the kiss with one of his own, holding me close, a look of contentment and happiness could easily be seen on his face once we pulled away. This. This is exactly how I hoped he would react.
“Thank you, sweetheart. I don't know how I got so lucky to have you and our precious little girl in our lives but I am so grateful. I love you both so much. Only you have made this day, what used to be so mundane and boring, so special and bright for me. I always look forward to whatever surprises you have in store for this day and no matter what, I will always look forward to celebrating my birthday as long as I have my special girls with me. Thank you for being in my life and for making me feel special.”
I couldn’t help but smile so wide, proud and overjoyed, I pulled away from his embrace, taking hold of his hand. I led him over to the couch and had him sit down where his birthday cake and all his gifts both from me and Isabella were on the coffee table. Isa comes rushing over, climbing her way up onto the couch and onto Victor’s lap which he gladly accepted, holding her close in his arms, kissing the top of her head.
I lit the candles on the cake, bringing the cake closer, while doing so I started singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to him. He smiled once I finished, with Isa happily clapping her hands. He leaned over, kissing my cheek.
“Thank you, my love. Truly. This day turned out to be better than I could have ever expected.”
“You’re welcome, my sweet. Here, make a wish and blow out the candles.” I smiled.
He looked at the cake briefly, before looking at me and Isabella in his arms, smiling he gently took hold of my hand with his free one, lacing our fingers together.
“My wish…has already come true.”

I'll Always Find You
Part 1 can be found here: One Small Decision
All the responses had been the same. “Nope, haven’t seen or heard from her.” Victor slammed a fist on his desk in desperation-fueled frustration. He could go to the police, he supposed, but doubted they’d take him seriously. It had been less than 24 hours and she was an adult. They’d had a fight. He’d just be eye-rolled out of their office…
So he went back to the stack of evolvers. Every minute ticking by was a drip of water torture serving to drive him insane. He called her after each page and despite the calls going straight to voicemail each time, Victor found himself holding his breath through that single ring. Stupid, stupid, stupid…
Everything paused as he flipped the page and found himself face-to-page with Ernest Elm, evol: tracking. It was almost too perfect to be true. Victor picked up his phone and dialed the number, hand holding the phone shaking and the other tapping the desk while his knee bounced. Two, three, four times it rang before a voice came on the line. “Hello?”
“Hello, is this Ernest Elm? This is Victor Li. I need your evol’s assistance.”
~~~
An hour later, the redheaded and freckled Ernest stood in Victor’s office at LFG. He couldn’t have been older than twenty, with nervous eyes and twitchy hands. “Sit, sit,” Victor invited, gesturing to the chair where the girl usually parked herself. The young man did so, and Victor skipped the small talk. “Thank you for coming. Tell me about your evol. What do you need for it to work?”
“I, uh. Just need something that belongs to the person, and then I can see a thread that leads back to the owner. I usually just use it to return lost items, sir. I don’t know that it’s super helpful…”
Victor rifled around in his desk and emerged with a small, well-loved shiba inu plushie. “If you don’t think it’s very helpful, Mr. Elm, then you have not spent enough time thinking of applications. You would be the most efficient search and rescue officer Loveland has ever seen. You could track down criminals, trafficked women and children, or missing persons. I would say that is a most noble evol.” He lifted his dark eyes and connected them to Ernest’s. “What are the limitations?”
The young man seemed slightly taken aback by Victor’s statements. Could he really be that important? A smile settled onto his face and Ernest visibly relaxed. “I haven’t really found a distance limit, but the person does have to be alive. Sir, before we do this…would this person want to be found? I mean, I’m not helping you be a creepy stalker or anything, right?”
“She would want to be found, yes. It’s possible that she might be in danger, so shall we get started?” Victor’s voice had regained its sharp edge and Ernest straightened in his seat. He accepted the doll with some amount of apprehension while Victor looked on with concentration.
“Do you have a map? It would be easiest for me to tell you where she is if I have a map to draw you a path.”
Victor pulled a map of Loveland out of his desk drawer and scooted it over along with a pen. He folded his hands over his knee and swallowed the feelings of concern at the phrase ‘does have to be alive.’ But his dark eyes remained focused on Ernest’s face as the man held the toy and scrunched up his face.
There was a long pause as tension hung heavy in the air before Ernest reached for the pen. He seemed to be following roads with one eye closed and the tip of the pen hovering over the map until it lingered over the industrial side of Loveland. The pen lowered until it kissed the map, leaving a small dot. “That’s the spot, sir.”
Victor scooped up the map and examined the place where the marking lay. “Thank you. I must be going now. Goldman will give you your pay and escort you out.” Without further discourse, Victor disappeared down the hallway with his phone in one hand and map in the other.
Speed limits were for people who didn’t have anywhere important to be. At least, that seemed to be Victor’s attitude as he flew down the side streets which led to the sketchier parts of Loveland. It was all but confirmed in his mind that she had been kidnapped at this point; there was no reason why she would have willingly ended up in the dilapidated industrial sector.
The further out he went, the fewer cars he passed until he turned onto the final road and found himself completely alone. Whoever these people were, they had obviously gotten all of their training from bad films and crime novels. Victor pulled into the marked parking lot and stopped the car at the far end, not wanting to alert anyone inside to his presence earlier than was necessary.
Victor slipped through the first strains of darkness to flatten himself against the wall of the building. So far he hadn’t seen or heard anyone, but that didn’t mean there weren’t eyes on him. Practically a wraith, he slipped around the outside until he found a door whose lock had been smashed. It opened easily and Victor entered without a sound.
Unfortunately, the building was quite large and there was no telling where the girl was being kept. Victor listened carefully for any sound, but was only struck by the vast silence of the building’s hollow carapace. His keen eyes swirled as they scanned the floor for any sign of passage; however, it appeared he would not be so lucky. So he pushed forward into the depths of the building, the dim light providing only little guidance as he walked the halls.
Door after door Victor paused outside and listened, pushing open those he could when he heard nothing behind them. Honestly, he’d expected to find guards by now, but obviously this was a small  or inexperienced bunch. How they’d managed to catch someone as capable as his dummy made no sense if they were that inept, but the ‘how’ could wait.
When faced with the realization that he’d scoured the entire first floor, Victor paused at the stairwell. It went both up into higher floors and down beneath ground, and there still was no real sign which way he should check. He chose downstairs for multiple reasons; firstly, it was easier to drag an unwilling captive down than up. Secondly, underground would allow them to use lights without drawing attention to their abandoned abode.
It seemed his reasoning was sound. Upon reaching the bottom of the stairs, a slight glow called from the far end of the hallway. Victor felt his heart rate increase as he knew he was on the correct path. Every cell in his body screamed for him to throw caution to the wind and race to the girl’s side, but thankfully the ones in charge of action still managed to maintain some semblance of order.
At least enough order for him to only run to the end of the hallway as silently as he could manage and stop outside the door to listen. Two male voices conversed in hushed tones, low enough that Victor couldn’t quite make out what they were saying. He pressed his ear against the door in an attempt to hear better, only to wish he hadn’t.
“We should just finish the job. We’ve had our fun and at this point, she’s a liability. She’s seen our faces and we can’t let that go.”
“I suppose you’re right. But I want to have a little more fun, first. Where’d that knife go?”
A soft rustling accompanied a muffled groan and squeak of fear. The sound of skin slapping skin and a pained squeal brought the fury which had been building in Victor’s stomach into his extremities. He burst through the door, taking in the scene in one swoop. It wasn’t a large room; in fact, it barely held three chairs and a small table. The girl was tied to the chair in the center of the room, her head resting on her chest and blood splattered here and there on the floor. She looked up at the sudden noise and revealed a bloody gag tied around her mouth, the crimson stain originating just above her right eyebrow and flowing its way down to the dirty cloth.
Her eyes were dull and cloudy as her mind seemed to struggle to understand what she was seeing. However, it really only took a few moments for it to register that Victor had arrived, savior of the day. Tears welled up in those eyes and she seemed to be reaching for him with as much vigor as she could manage while being actually unable to move.
Victor didn’t have time to release her, however, before her pair of captors were upon him. One held a knife while the other leveled a revolver at Victor’s head. Victor wasted no time in flinging a round-house kick at the gunman’s hand, sending the gun flying. The disarmed man was stunned by the sudden movement and froze, making it easy to strike him directly in the face. He crumpled like wet tissue paper and Victor turned to the other man, a larger specimen with a decidedly more frightening demeanor.
“Where the hell did you come from?!” the kidnapper growled, circling Victor. “And who are you? How did you find this place?”
“So many questions,” Victor retorted, his lip curled up slightly. “Who I am is none of your business. Neither is how I found you. But I will always find her, no matter where she is. She is mine and you would do well to put down your weapon before I have to take it away.”
The man chuckled and lunged, knife aimed for Victor’s stomach. Victor nimbly stepped out of the way and elbowed the man in the back as he went by, causing him to stumble. However, the kidnapper recovered quickly and lunged again, this time grazing Victor’s hand as Victor grabbed for the man’s wrist.
Victor didn’t so much as flinch at his wound. He simply wrapped his long fingers around the captor’s arm and flung him to the ground, smashing the man’s face into the concrete floor. There was a sickening crunch as the man’s nose broke on impact and a pool of blood began to immediately form beneath him. Victor was just about to turn back to the girl and untie her when she let out a muffled scream, which caused him to spin around and kick the first man again just as he began to reach for the gun. The man howled in agony as Victor’s sharp shoe connected solidly with his ribs and knocked the wind out of him.
It seemed for a moment that both of his opponents were down, at least long enough for Victor to grab the abandoned knife and cut the girl free. He removed the gag first, followed quickly by her hands and then her feet. Tears streamed down her face despite her best efforts to keep them contained and she collapsed into Victor’s arms. “Can you walk?” he asked, holding her tightly against his chest.
“I…I think so,” she whispered, voice hoarse from screaming.
“Then I want you to run outside. The authorities shouldn’t be too far behind me, if Goldman did as he was instructed. Which he always has. I’ll keep these two busy while you make your escape.”
The girl opened her mouth to argue, but Victor instead covered it with his own. By the time he pulled away from the kiss, the girl was feeling even dizzier than her wounds had caused. “Go. I will be perfectly fine. These two idiots are obviously no more than I can handle.” He pushed her toward the door and despite her intense desire to stay by his side, she gave Victor one last look and darted out of the room as fast as she could.
Each time one of the captors would attempt to get up from the floor, Victor would mercilessly return them to their position. Every ounce of fear and anger was channeled directly into ensuring that neither of the men escaped before the police arrived to take them away. His hand still bled freely but he paid it no mind, seemingly not even realizing he’d been injured.
Probably fifteen minutes passed before the thunder of police boots could be heard on the stairs. Victor exited the room and waved them down, pointing into the room. “The kidnappers are in here. I managed to subdue them for the time being, but there’s a loose gun.”
The police pushed right past Victor and handcuffed the kidnappers, hauling them away before also cuffing Victor. He didn’t protest; it was just standard procedure, after all. They had no way to know what the truth of the situation was until they had time to interview all parties.
Full darkness had fallen by the time Victor emerged with the police. The girl was being attended to by ambulance staff, but no amount of shouting could convince her to stay put when she saw Victor’s face. She rushed to him and wrapped her arms around his neck, clinging to him as if her life depended on it. “I can’t believe you found me,” she sobbed, her tears staining the collar of his shirt red. “I’m so sorry! I shouldn’t have run off like that! I thought for sure I was going to die alone and that you’d blame yourself for me making one bad decision!”
Victor chuckled and kissed her on the cheek. “I will always find you, dummy. Even if I have to do it ten thousand times, I will always find you.”
