"Tobin and I have always approached life with a joy for sacredness and we both really appreciate privacy," Press explained. "We both also appreciate that as public figures, there is responsibility and there is opportunity to model lifestyles and relationships and choices that can be unsafe for people or that they can be struggling with."
And Press highlighted the variety of relationships modeled by the USWNT—including ones "that are really loud and bold and those are deeply meaningful for the queer community and more traditional, like mom-dad-and-baby relationships"—as an opportunity for she and Heath to share their home life on their own terms.
"There's a space for the way that Tobin and I operate, which is a quiet and respectful and partnership," Press said, "I think that also lets us have a piece of us that is really sacred and really special."
Not that they aren't delighted by their supporters' interest in their relationship or have failed to notice the slew of excited comments about breaking the Internet every time they post about one another.
"We do love the fans," Press gushed. "We love the love and we totally get the way that everyone shows up for us and everybody feels invested in our story. It actually does touch us."
As for their dynamic as co-hosts [on The RE—CAP Show] versus teammates and life partners, Heath acknowledged that she and Press are "such different individuals, both as footballers and as people," but their differences come together for a "nice dynamic" on the show.
"We both approach our crafts very different, but we are obsessed with our crafts," she continued. "It's a special thing building something with someone that kind of has that same elite mentality."

it’s so wild watching movies that originate major pop culture phenomena
currently watching Dracula (1931) and i can’t stop thinking like oh okay so this is where it all comes from
but then also listening to @re-dracula and hearing the original-original, watching Drac is especially feeling like discovering the missing link

There is a cynicism about [Star Trek: Voyager] that truly troubles me. We loved DEEP SPACE NINE. We loved the show. We loved all the characters. There are actors that always give you trouble, and there are always times when the producers and actors are sometimes at each other, because, ‘You don’t understand my character.’ ‘No, you don’t understand the character I am writing.’ That’s fair game. On VOYAGER, there are characters they have given up on. They will just say that to you, flat out. I started asking questions about B’Elanna, who she is. I was saying, ‘I’m having a little trouble watching episodes and getting a handle on her, and what she is about.’ The response was, ‘We don’t have an idea. The past doesn’t matter. Just do whatever you want.’ What are you talking about? How can you give up on your own show? How do you give up on your characters? There is such a cynicism about the show within the people that do the show. I’m not just talking about the writing staff. It permeates the production.
— Ron D. Moore, from this interview that he gave shortly after leaving Star Trek: Voyager (originally published on 18/01/2000)
I'd like to add that in the time since this interview Moore has considerably softened his opinion on the Voyager production, but I still think what he says here is relevant as someone who had the experience of being in both writing rooms.

Imagine being the writer for UtRH and putting together a whole fight segment together where Batman and Red Hood work together to take down a team of bad guys, and Jason falls into step perfectly from him and Bruce's old training- giving a taste of nostalgia of what was and could have been. Batman leaves Jason an opening that can be used against him, a moment of pure faith that they're on the same side and Jason uses the chance on their common enemy and its like just *THE* moment in the middle of this arch.
And SOMEHOW you are still thinking that the emotional impact of that would be negated just because you end it with Jason killing a nazi??? Like killing a nazi is supposed to have made him unrelatable and evil to the audience???
I just think most people who read comics like the idea of bad guys getting some comeuppance, that's the fantasy that is being sold. How did you not realize this would appeal to a huge portion of your market?
