Rejection- Wednesday Addams
Tumblr media
“Good morning,” I say to Wednesday and Enid as I sit next to them at their table.
“Hey Y/n,” Enid says smiling at me.
“Hello,” Wednesday replied without bothering to looking up.
“How are you guys? I feel like I haven’t talked to you guys in forever,” I say mainly because I haven’t talked to them in at least two weeks.
“Fine.” Wednesday says as she turns to glare at me.
“I’m good, Ajax and I went out on a date,” Enid tells me.
“Really? How did it go? Tell me everything,” I say spitting of questions left and right.
“It was so fun. I really like him,” she tells me with a dreamy look in her eyes.
“He likes you too, I sit next to him in botany and all he does it stare at you,” I tell her with a smile.
“Really oh my god oh my god,” Enid starts to freak out.
“Calm down he is just a boy,” Wednesday says trying to get Enid to shut up.
“He is not just a boy he is my crush,” Enid tells Wednesday with a serious look on her face.
“It’s almost time for class. Do you guys want to walk with me?” I ask them as we all start to gather our stuff.
“Whatever,” Wednesday says as she walks ahead of me and Enid who is still semi freaking out. As we walk into botany I see Ajax in his seat and I quickly turn to Enid.
“Take my seat,” I say to her.
“What?” she asks me.
“Sit next to Ajax,” I tell her as I push her towards my now former seat. I swear I heard her squeak as Ajax started talking to her.
“Can I sit next to you Wednesday?” I ask her as I put my stuff in the stop next to her.
“It seems you already are,” she says in a bored tone.
“Well I can move if you don’t want me to sit here. I can go sit with Bianca or Kent.” I tell her while getting ready to move to a different seat.
“No it’s fine,” she’s says while glaring at the table.
“Okay as long as you say so,” I say while taking out my notes.
After class
“So how was class Enid?” I ask her in a teasing voice.
“Oh my god we talked the whole time,” she gushes.
“I think we are going out again this weekend,” she say’s excitedly with a smile that reaches her eyes.
“Really? That’s awesome,” I say to her in an excited voice.
“You seriously can not be this excited over a boy,” Wednesday says when she pops up behind Enid and I.
“Wednesday just let her be in love and happy,” I say in a serious voice while me and Enid walk off.
Saturday
When I walk into the Weathervane I see Wednesday already in line.
“Hey, Wednesday. What are you doing here?” I ask her has I get in line behind her.
“Getting coffee what else,” she says in a obvious voice. I skip in front of Wednesday in line once I see that she is next.
“Hey Tyler” I greet the boy.
“Hey Y/n you want your usual double shot iced coffee?” He asks me
“Yup and uh whatever Wednesday orders I will pay for,” I tell him as I hand him $10.
“What no,” I hear Wednesday object from behind me.
“Deal with it Wednesday I’m paying for your coffee,” I tell her as I grab my cup and go take a seat. Just as I pull out my book I see someone sit across from me.
“Hey, Wednesday. Did you need something?” I ask her because it is usual for her to sit with me on her own free will.
“No,” she says while practically looking into my soul.
“Okay,” I say and go back to reading my book. As we sit there in silence for about 15 minutes I can’t help but wonder if she is going to the Rave’n.
“Hey Wednesday?” I say which draws her attention towards me.
“Yes,” she responds stiffly.
“Are you going to the Rave’n dance?” I ask her as I set my book down after marking my page.
“No,” she responds with hard eyes.
“Oh that’s too bad it would be a lot of fun if you did,” I say to her after finishing the last sip of my drink.
“Well I’m going to go walk around town. You are free to join me if you would like,” I say to her as I get up and throw my coffee cup away. After I walk out and she doesn’t follow I assume she isn’t coming so I start walking towards where Xavier’s mural used to be.
“Why are you staring at a wall,” Wednesday asks as she comes up behind me out of nowhere.
“Jesus you are quiet,” I say after nearly jumping out of my skin.
“Xavier and I painted this wall a while ago. They destroyed it,” I tell her dejectedly as I start to walk back towards Nevermore.
“Why did they destroy it,” she questions as if it isn’t obvious.
“Because they think me and Xavier are freaks,” I tell her while kicking a rock with my shoe.
“Oh,” she merely says. When we reach Nevermore I turn to her.
“It sucks you aren’t going to the Rave’n,” I tell her once more.
“Why?” She asks.
“Because I was going to ask you to go with me,” I say to her as I walk in the direction of my dorm.

Creepy Pt. 8
Tumblr media
You were straightening up your tie. You looked at your white and silver outfit in your mirror and smiled. You were going to dance with Wednesday.
You both had made up and come to the agreement to continue with each other. You walked to the black rose corsage you had made, you grinned at the black pearl bracelet part.
With a quick glance to the clock, you walked out the door, shutting it behind you. Wednesday said she’d meet you outside the dance so you walked out the door, hoping that she wasn’t waiting.
You walked slower as you got into the Quad, looking for her. Scanning the crowd of your peers.
That’s when you heard it, whispers of her name. You turned to see her.
She was beautiful. Well she was always beautiful but it was hard to not stare at her in her black dress that drooped over her perfectly, the slight clomping noise of her steps and the light dusting of eyeshadow on her eyes. You’d spent so much time staring that you didn’t notice her get closer, now standing right in front of you.
“Wednesday-“
“I know.” She said, looking at you, “I think you look nice as well.” She added with a lighter tone. You smiled as you took her hand and walked her in.
People whispered and looked but neither of you cared. You grinned as you looked to her, you then remembered the flower in your pocket.
“Wednesday?”
She looked at you, “Yes?”
You pulled it from your pocket, showing it to her. “It’s for you.”
She extended an arm and you slipped it on. She looked at it, eyes soft. “Thank you.”
“Of course.” You said.
You both found a table and sat down and talked for a few minutes until Wednesday got up to get drinks. You watched her, then looked around the room, specifically to the dance floor. You hoped your dancing skills were up to par. You often danced by yourself in your room to your music box tunes.
A voice caught your attention, causing you to look around. You saw them. Wednesday and Xavier. You just watched as they conversed and then she turned and made her way back to you.
She noticed a look on your face, “He only asked if I was having a good time.” She handed you the drink. You brought it up to your mouth and sipped from it.
“Well, are you?”
She sat down, “You haven’t asked me to dance yet.”
“Waiting for the right song.”
She smiled slightly at that sentiment, “Our song?”
“Our song is the song of the bat music box.”
Wednesday loved that music box as it was the first gift you gave her. She cleaned it and played it every night.
“It is. What song are you waiting for?”
You noticed a pause in the music, you stood. “This one.”
Wednesday stood and grabbed your hand as you walked to the dance floor.
You bobbed slightly to the song, watching her. She slowly got into it, making up her own dance. You watched intently as you tried to match the parts of it that you could, a huge smile coming to your face.
You and her danced through the song, several other people joining in, following her lead. Laughter and voices rang out as the song went on.
Three more and two drink breaks passed by the time you grabbed Wednesdays hand, “Where’d you learn to dance?”
“My mother and father.” She slipped her hand into yours.
The world slowed, the sound lessened, no one was there except the two you.
You got list in her dark sky eyes, observing her constellation of freckles.
Wednesday looked at you, your eyes dripping love and your mouth made a beautiful soft crescent shape.
She leaned in, you followed.
The you felt it. A drip. You looked up. Another drip. Wednesday looked at the white table cloth. Red.
The sprinkler system flung on, red liquid sprayed all over everyone. You felt it hit you and run down your face. You looked to Wednesday who seemed to be tasting it.
“It’s paint.” She said, annoyance radiating from her voice.

You smiled as you looked up at your love. Her gorgeous white hair done up as usual. Her luscious red lips puckered as she talked. So spaced in your thoughts, you didn’t hear her calling your name.
“Y/n!“
Blinking harshly, you gave a slightly weak smile. “Are you alright my darling?” she asked with concern. “I was just thinking about how beautiful you are, my love” you stated confidently.
You saw her give a soft smile, a blush creeping onto her face. She opened her mouth to say something but a drop on her face interrupted her. She looked confused but didn’t question.
Until more drops came, landing on you too. You looked up, watching as the sprinklers bursted and red liquid came out. A bad feeling settled in your stomach and you felt more nausea then before.
The red liquid came pouring down on everyone in the room. Larissa looked panicked and quickly escorted you and herself out. This..definitely wasn’t blood, but the smell triggered the nauseous feeling you had. You could have almost heaved then and there.
You weren’t feeling too good this morning, but you ignored it. Though it proceeded to get worse once you came to the rave’n. You tried to hold down the feeling once you both got to Larissa’s office.
She harshly opened the double doors and that’s when you let it go. You leaned over the trash can next to her desk and retched. Her eyes grew wide as she bent down next to you and rubbed your back.
The next couple of minutes were agonizing. You lifted your head up slowly, a ponding headache started to occur. Larissa helped you stand up, supporting you as you heavily leaned on her.
“Oh darling” she sighed, you lightly pouted. “I’m not feeling too well” you admitted, “I can see that dear”. There was a second of silence before she asked, “Do I need to carry you?”. You stuttered “W-what-“”I’m not afraid to, you look too weak to walk.” You didn’t answer but eventually nodded your head.
Everyone was ordered to their dorms after the incident. So no one was really or should be outside right now. Although to your surprise, as she carried you to the front gate, two students saw it.
“Oh wow” Enid breathed out as she looked at you both. Wednesday wasn’t exactly surprised, she knew you two were together. Unlike the other oblivious people in this school.
She gave a small smirk, thankfully not seen by the bubbly girl beside her.

Thinking about the fact that Laurel/Thornhill gave Wednesday a black dahlia to signify unsolved murders and white oleander which is an extremely poisonous plant that looks harmless and friendly.
She also picked the Rave’N theme and had it be climate crisis and extinction event and was like “this will be a night they never forget” bc it was supposed to be the last Rave’N ever.

post-rave’n aftermath — TYLER GALPIN x f. reader
summary: after an anticipated night at the dance becomes stale, tyler lends more than just a comforting night to spend back at his place.
warnings: mentions of drinking, making out, eating out
✯¸.•´*¨`*•✿ .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. ✿•*`¨*`•.¸✯
the pair stumbled back into tyler’s house in a fit of laughter, latching onto one another for support against their drunken balance. y/n clasped a firm grip on the galpin boy’s shoulder as she kicked a heel off.
“leaving that dance early was probably one of the best decisions i’ve made in awhile.” moments ago were they guzzling down a handful of nips ajax had slipped them before they had left. boy, did that kid know how to party.
“you’re a bad influence sometimes,” he remarked.
“sometimes, keyword.” she wiggled her leg as an attempt to slip the other bedazzled shoe off with a frustrated groan.
tyler eyed the girl and shook his head with a smile. he considerably held a higher tolerance at alcohol that she did, and that clearly was the case here. dropping down a knee, he propped her foot up on his thigh and began unbuckling the small silver latch with ease. he slid the heel to the side and gave a gentle pat on her outer thigh.
“what’re you thinking of for dinner? i should be sober enough to make a decent meal.” y/n snapped out of her daze and followed the boy to the fridge.
“your grandma’s pasta recipe would hit the spot right about now.”
y/n had stayed over plenty of times; carefully calculating when tyler’s dad would and wouldn’t be home or even how long he’d be out for. It was a routine at this point and tyler gave her all the tips of the ins and outs of escaping a sheriff’s house.
“that’s what i was thinking. oh, and hey, feel free to steal a shirt or something to change out of.” he could tell by the way she uncomfortably shifted in the white fabric clinging to her curves that a fresh set would do her plenty justice.
“always so good to me, galpin.”
she nudged the door to his room and let the scent of his fresh woody cologne engulf her. the fragrance was everywhere; staining his sheets and his clothes. she nudged a drawer open and pulled out a large grey tee.
y/n took a moment in front of the mirror with a grimace. she looked like an utter mess. her hair had been frizzed up, slight smudges of cheap mascara pooled around the edges of her eyes. sometimes the thought of why a perfect small town boy like him would take such interest in an outcast like her.
he’s constantly reassured her that social status was of no use, but being around his friends and seeing how sociable he is at the weathervane really makes her wonder why her isolated demeanor caught his eye.
she gave the zipper in the back a tug. nothing. she tried again, putting a more firm grip on the metal piece and again, no result. must be caught on the fabric, she put in a mental note.
“tyler! do you mind helping me with this,” she called out in a struggle.
her arms reached all around her back while her neck contorted in a way she could attempt to figure out how to get the zipper undone.
tyler gave a knock and peeked a head in. the sight of seeing her struggle like this gave him quite the chuckle.
“always getting yourself into trouble,” he breathed out with a smile. she pulled her styled locks to the side and shuddered at the touch of his frigid fingers.
he gingerly lowered his lips to the nape of her neck and began peppering sweet kisses up and down as the sound of the zipper sliding filled the air. she sucked in a breath of air between her teeth at the sensitive spots he had been nipping around.
without the support of his hand on her waist, she was sure her legs would’ve transitioned to jello. his touch was intoxicating, knowing all the right spots to touch to get her going. his free hand traveled up to her neck as he slightly tilted her head to the side for better access.
y/n let out a groan at the sudden loss of contact, before he leaned into her ear. “foods ready in ten.” he let the hand resting on her midsection slide down to a drop before swinging the door just enough to leave some space open and headed back to the kitchen.
the audacity this boy has, she thought as the dress pooled around her ankles.
to say she was stuffed was an understatement. halfway through seconds was she done for. this recipe was one tyler needed to learn and perfect after countless times of asking his nana to make him this memorable dish.
“you’re a tease for earlier.” she grimaced as tyler set the dishes in the dishwasher.
“you enjoyed that food didn’t you?” she eyed him, knowing damn well the food was worth it. the silence had still been a small retaliation for leaving her high and not very dry.
he faced the girl and leaned an arm against the kitchen island behind her. “lemme make it up to you then.”
his lips ghosted above hers as they continued back on that perfect dance of kisses. his palms slid down her thighs before hiking her up on the counter. y/n felt the goosebumps rise through her skin at the cold contact.
she felt feverish at the lack of clarity in her senses. he was a toxin in disguise of an antidote, hidden beneath the layers of the perfect beloved sheriff’s son. this line they were walking on was insisted to be a one time thing, but lust always seemed to find a way back to square one.
his lips peppered kisses further and further before his eyes caught hers once more. the dim lighting illuminating just the highlights bouncing off her body—her shoulders, to her collarbones to the curves of her chest. he may have just mistaken her to be a goddess.
seeing tyler on his knees gazing up at her like that; she felt so vulnerable that he’s seen more of her than anyone has ever discovered.
he bit back a smirk at his favorite color looking right back at him in the form of a lace set. hooking the material to the side, he slung a leg over his shoulder and licked a agonizingly slow stripe up her folds with a groan.
a hiss left her lips at the contact as her hands wove into his hair. he relished in the fact he could give the girl he adored so much what she deserved. continuing the motion, his pattern switched every once in awhile in fit of swirls and sucking.
“god, that feels amazing.” he wanted to hear nothing less than these praises.
he adjusted on one knee and this newfound angle had just almost taken her off the edge. one hand clutched the roots of his wavy locks, the other pushing against the granite counter behind her.
tyler introduced a digit, the slick of her wetness combined with his saliva easily saved her from any pain. she found her hips starting to rock into him feeling that familiar high only a grasp away.
“lemme make you feel good,” he breathlessly breathed out. that expression of pure pleasure plastered on her face was something he wish he could engrain in memory.
she sighed in content as the knot finally began to come undone as she rode out her high. her limbs had felt like jelly regardless of barely putting in any work. the air was hot and seemed to let her senses slowly seep back into her.
tyler swept her up in the midst of her daze with a sweet kiss. her complexion radiated a glow of satisfaction.
“i’m about to have the best sleep of my life,” she remarked. mouth watering dinner, a satisfied hunger, and an appeasing orgasm. what more could she want in a night.
“alright, let’s get you cleaned up.”

Rave’N- Ajax Petropolus
Tumblr media
“Dude just go ask her out,” Xavier says to Ajax who has been staring at Y/n.
“But what if she says no,” Ajax says back looking self conscious.
“I’m not exactly the best guy to date. I literally turn people to stone.” He tells Xavier.
“Yeah and I’m sure she won’t care I mean she is literally a shapeshifter,” Xavier tells Ajax.
“I know but still,” Ajax says looking defeated.
“At least go ask her what she got for outreach day,” Xavier says while pushing Ajax towards you.
“Oh hey Ajax,” I say as he pops up beside me.
“Hey Y/n, what did you get for outreach day?” He questions smiling.
“Oh I got pilgrim world but Wednesday asked me to switch so now I have Uriah’s heap,” I tell him.
“That place gives me the creeps,” I say with fake shivers and a joking smile.
“No way I got Uriah’s heap,” he tells me.
“At least we can suffer together,” he says joking.
“If your there then it won’t really be suffering,” I tell him.
“I got to get to class I’ll see you later Ajax,” I say to him as I walk off.
Outreach day
“Hey Xavier do you know where Ajax is?” I ask him.
“Uh no I don’t actually,” he tells me while looking down at me.
“Darn he was supposed to meet me here so we can walk to Uriah’s Heap together,” I tell him frowning.
“Well thanks anyway I’ll see you later Xavier,” I say to him as I start my journey towards Uriah’s Heap.
“Y/n,” I hear my name being called.
“Hey Y/n wait up,” when I finally turn around I notice Ajax trying to catch up with me.
“Oh there you are. I was looking for you earlier I even asked Xavier if he knew where you were,” I tell him as he falls in step next to me.
“Yeah sorry I was running a little late I couldn’t find my hat,” he tells me looking a little shy about mentioning his hat.
“It’s okay I didn’t walk alone for that long,” I say as we step into Uriah’s Heap.
“It smells like decaying old people in here,” I say to Ajax with my nose scrunched up.
“You got that right,” he says as he covers his nose.
“I regret switching with Wednesday,” I say almost gagging from the smell.
“At least you have me here,” Ajax says trying to be helpful.
“That’s true I could be stuck here with Bianca,” I say as both me and Ajax laugh. For the most of the day Ajax and I just do restock and deal with the few customers who come in. When it’s time to leave we haven’t really gotten to talk that much.
“It sucks we didn’t get to talk a lot today. Who knew a antique store would have so much to do,” I tell him with a tired smile as we leave the store.
“Yeah I wish we could have talked more,” he said looking at me with a frown.
“I wonder how Wednesday like working in pilgrim world,” I say mostly asking myself.
“Why did she want to switch in the first place?” He asks me.
“I actually have no idea she said she needed to “check it out” whatever that means,” I tell him while quoting Wednesday.
“Are you signing up to decorate for the Rave’n?” I ask him.
“Nah probably not I still haven’t even asked the girl I want to ask,” he says looking down at the side walk.
“Oh well me and Enid are helping decorate it would be fun if you joined us,” I tell him with a small smile.
“Who is the girl you want to ask,” I ask trying to be subtle.
“Oh uh it’s not important,” he said trying to cover up his nervousness.
“Well you should ask her before someone else does. There isn’t that much time left before the dance,” I tell him as I walk on the bus to find Enid.
“Yeah,” Ajax whispers to himself.
One day before the Rave’n
“I can’t believe he still hasn’t asked you. It’s obvious he likes you,” Enid says trying to cheer me up.
“Maybe he doesn’t maybe he was just being nice,” I say feeling dejected.
“Maybe I just shouldn’t go to the dance. I’m going to be one of the only girls without a date,” I tell Enid as I begin to gather my things from the table we were sitting at.
“What no you can do that you have to go,” she pleads with me.
“Wednesday not going,” I tell her trying to make my point.
“Actually uh she is now,” Enid says with a sheepish smile.
“What so now I’m going to be the only girl who doesn’t go to the Rave’n,” I say feeling pathetic.
“It will be okay Y/n. You should just come to the dance and hang out with me and my date,” Enid says trying to make me feel better.
“I don’t want to be a third wheel Enid,” I say as I turn the corridor to my room.
“I will think about going but I’m not making promises, okay?” I tell her as I open my door to my room.
“Okay I will see you tomorrow Y/n,” she says frowning.
The day of the Rave’n
“Dude why didn’t you ask Y/n you said you would,” Enid says as she walks up to Ajax with an angry expression.
“I didn’t think she would want to go with me,” he says while feeling like crap for not asking you.
“Well now she probably won’t go to the dance at all because she doesn’t want to be the only girl without a date,” Enid says making him feel worse.
“Is she is in her room?” Ajax asks Enid.
“Yeah she is probably reading she does that a lot when she is sad,” Enid tells him.
“Okay thank you,” Ajax shouts at Enid as he runs to find Y/n.
Knock knock
“Enid I told you I’m not going to the dance,” I say opening the door expecting to see Enid. Instead I see Ajax with a bouquet flowers.
“What are you doing here Ajax?” I ask him while looking at the flowers in his hand.
“I uh well I wanted to know if I still had a shot at taking you to the Rave’n?” He says trying to stay calm.
“I wasn’t really planning on going,” I say back trying not to give into how sweet he is.
“I know Enid told me but I wanted you to know that I was going to ask you to the dance since outreach day but I thought you would say no. So I just didn’t and now I feel really bad because I really want to go with you and I’m sorry,” Ajax rambles off while handing me the flowers.
“Really?” I ask him while looking at the flowers with a smile.
“Yes so will you please do me the honor of going to the Rave’n with me?” Ajax ask hoping he wasn’t to late.
“Pick me up at 6 Pm,” I tell him as I shut the door.
“Yes,” I hear Ajax shout from behind the door.

Roommates Pt.3
Tumblr media
The entire campus was buzzing with talks about a school dance and you were working on your outfit. White was the color and you were usually your embroidery skills to spice up an old dress vest you had. The plan for your outfit was white pants, light grey shirt and the white pearly vest that you were embroidering gold into. As you sat outside and sewed the threads into the vest. You heard a voice. “Well if it isn’t Friday?”
Bianca. You turned to look at her, “Hi Bianca. And you know I have a name.”
“I know. Just playing, what are you doing?”
“I am just fixing up a vest. It looked boring as hell.”
She welcomed herself to sit down, moving your box of threads, “So you and Ajax?”
“Yea… crazy.”
“Oh my god-“ she paused, waiting for you.
“They were roommates.” You finished with no hesitation.
You both laughed. She pulled a tiny spindle of blue thread. “So… I might need your help.”
“With?”
“My dress. A few of the scales are loose and I was wondering if you could fix it? I could definitely pay you.”
You had gained a reputation for being the school tailor so you expected this, “Yeah and no, you don’t have to pay me. I have a lot of blue thread I need to get rid of. I am also fixing Yoko’s dress and repairing a button on several guy’s suit jackets.” You motioned at the pile of clothes beside you.
“Wow. How are you going to get yours done?”
“Well, I can sew the buttons on quickly, then I will do yours and Yoko’s dresses and then finish mine up. I still got two days.”
She nodded and handed you her dress and a small pack of the scales in case some were too damaged. “Hey…”
“Yes?”
“Thank you.”
“Anytime,” you said smiling, “You’d do it for me.”
You continued finishing the patch of your best you were on when you felt a pair of hands cover your eyes. “Guess who?”
“Hmm. Enid.”
“Ding ding!” The girl said, moving her hands and walking to sit beside you. “Can I ask you something? And like my life depends on it.”
“Yea?”
“Does Wednesday like girls?”
“She hasn’t said she doesn’t.”
Enid smiled, “Alright, one more question: would you like, gut me if I asked her to the Rave’N?”
You thought for a moment, “No. no I wouldn’t.”
She hugged you, making you slightly jump, “You are the best! Thank you!” She then looked down, “I also have a favor to ask…”
“Which is?”
“Can you fix this sleeve?”
You were brushing your hair, getting all the sand you could out of it. You were laser focused as you put in your gold hair clip that would keep part of your bangs out of your face. You looked at it from every angle , you decided it was good.
You then got the small eyeshadow palette Enid had let you borrow as thanks for fixing her coat. You openly it and looked at the gold and silver color. You grabbed one of your brushes and started to put the silver on the upper eyelid, then blending it with the gold that was along your eyelash line. You decided to add a little black eyeliner to sharpen the corners of your eyes.
You took a steps back from the mirror and for once, you felt handsome. You smiled as you slipped off your robe and grabbed your button up shirt and began buttoning like your life depended on it, you tucked it into your pants and grabbed your vest. You were finally ready.
Ajax was waiting by the entrance for you. He’d gotten ready in Xavier’s room. He was getting a little anxious but then he saw you.
You were walking quickly to him, “I am so sorry I am late. I couldn’t find my earring.”
“It’s,” he looked you up and down, “Fine.”
You breathed and straightened your up, you put your arm around Ajax’s shoulders and walked in with him.
“I love the outfits!” Mrs. Thornhill said, smiling. You liked her and her smile radiated.
“Thank you, did you get new boots?”
“Oh! Yes! Thanks for noticing. Have a dance for me you two!”
You were mildly amazing when you walked in and saw the decorations. Climate Crisis was the theme. Everything was icy and crystalline, sparkling in the lights. You looked at Ajax, “Do you wanna walk around and grab drinks? Then we can dance?”
Ajax nodded, he was talking louder than really needed which made you laugh. Ajax and you made your lap, laughing and joking with friends as you walked, bopping to the music.
“Enid?” Ajax asked, looking at a guy and someone on the floor in front of him. Sure enough, the girl peered past the guys legs.
You were confused on where Wednesday was but you didn’t want to embarrass or intrude on Enid’s night so you and Ajax walked to the dance floor.
It was a very loud pop song but you and him just bopped along, sliding past each other. It was awkward but it was fun. Ajax reached for your hands and you both pulled each other’s arms, making a see-saw motion. He then spun you out and pulled you back, making you laugh was you collided with his chest a little harder than he expected. He steadied himself as you turned to make sure you didn’t break your date.
“My bad, I never was a a dancer.” He said, getting back into the groove.
You just smiled, “It’s fine! I should’ve slowed myself. “
You began to sway more as you got into the groove but the song ended. You huffed, “Hey, I’m going to get some drinks, want one?”
“Yea! I think imma see how Xavier and Bianca are doing.” He said, turning.
You walked to the punch bowl and poured up a drink for Ajax first and then yours. A voice made you jump, almost spilling your drink.
“Mr. Addams, enjoying the dance?”
It was Principal Weems, you looked up at her, “Yeah! I think it’s going well. Who all decorated?”
“Several members of the student body and Ms. Thornhill. I have a question, is Wednesday planning on attending?”
“I-To be honest, I haven’t really talked to her in the past two days. I got distracted.”
Just as you finished your sentence, Principal Weems looked up. “Ah, there she is.” You turned around to she her, dressed in black and followed by the Normie from the Weathervane that ruined Xavier’s mural. You got an off vibe from him.
You picked up your glasses and walked to Ajax. “There’s something up with him.”
“Wednesday’s date?”
“Yea… there’s just something off. Ya know?”
Ajax looked at him, “I mean, it’s what I am not getting from him that’s off putting.” He took a sip from his glass.
You raised your eyebrow, “Which is?”
“He doesn’t have the normal normie vibe.”
“Yea… I guess that’s it.” You sipped from your drink, “So, after we finish this, wanna dance again?”
“Yeah. But like, I’m a really bad dancer.”
You looked at him, “No, you’re not.”
“Sure.”
You scoffed playfully, “I plowed into you and no body knows how to dance to those pop songs. It’s just hopping and yelling til it’s over.” You downed the last of your drink, “I can teach you how to slow dance if they play one of those.”
“It’s a school dance. Of course they’re going to.”
You laughed a little, “Yeah” you yawned after. Ajax looked at you.
“Are you getting sleepy?”
There was a consequence to your power: you never truly knew when you were tired and could stay up for days and then you’d crash. Yawns were a telltale sign of a crash.
“No, no. I’m good. Maybe if I move around or something.” You turned to the dance floor.
Ajax grabbed your hand, “Then let’s move.”
You softly smiled, you followed him and when you got to the dance floor, a slower song began to play. Perfect.
You showed him where to hold you and you set the movement slow so he could get used to it. It was so peaceful.
“Ajax?”
“Yea?”
“I’m sorry I’m getting tired.” You yawned again.
“It’s fine, babe. Remember the time I stoned you?”
“Which one?”
“Exactly.”
You smiled as your rested your head in his shoulder, slowing your breath, closing your eyes.
Ajax knew you were out. He sighed happily. It was easy to dance with a sleeping person but he knew he’d better get you to a seat. He looped his arm under yours and walked to the table where Xavier sat.
“Hey dude.”
“Hey you… two? Is he asleep?”
“Out like a light, man. Do you mind if I sit him in the chair? He just needs a few minutes.”
“Yeah. It’s just me here… how do you’d do it?”
“Do what?”
“Have a seemingly loving relationship? Doesn’t you two being two different species mess with things? Like I don’t wanna overstep but… I dated Bianca and I was always worried about her powers.”
Ajax looked at his friend, “Well, yea we love each other and well, that kinda just makes it worth it” he looked at you, your upper body slumped over on the table, “While we’re both outcasts and we can relate on that, we are both very different and there are a few struggles. Like I have stoned him and he’s put me to sleep but neither of us would do it to be rude. That’s what you were worried about? It being used to prevent you from feeling fully?”
“Yeah… Deep down I know she loves me and I love her but it’s the thoughts that get in my way. Don’t you ever think that he wants to put you to sleep?”
“No, I don’t think he does. And I trust him not to. I think you just need to trust her. She really does care about you. She wouldn’t put up with this shit if she didn’t.”
Xavier looked at him, “He’s a bad influence on you. You’re becoming too honest.”
“It is what it is, dude.” He said, shrugging, “Now go find her and tell her. I gotta take care of sleeping beauty.”
The DJ made the final dance announcement, Ajax looked at you: no sign of waking so he decided to stay seated beside you. He watched them dance for a few minutes then he saw red drip on the table. He stared at it, then up and at that moment the sprinklers turned on, spraying something red all over the place. He shook you awake.
You jerked up and saw him covered in red and screamed. “Ajax! Blood? What happened?”

Why's Cordelia a late bloomer?
She’s half siren with no siren abilities (no song, no scales when she touches water) the only thing she’s gotten from that lineage is the “stares into your soul” eyes 😭
Honestly maybe calling her a late bloomer was too assuming for me because I honestly haven’t decided whether or not she will get them in the future. They’re a big source of insecurity for her and it’s something that she overcomes as she goes (like Enid did!) it’s also a little bit of a point of contention between her and Nini since Nini is sort of in the same boat but she kind of can’t care less lol Lia’s a little jealous of that

𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐡𝐮𝐭 𝐦𝐞 𝐮𝐩 — x. thorpe

XAVIER THORPE x f!reader
⌗︙・ summary — xavier’s into you. like into into you. but unfortunately, you aren’t quite on the same page.
contains — miscommunication, slight slight angst, fluff ending, pining from both ends... just dumb idiots unknowingly in love with each other <3
notes — i am so obsessed with this man and this gif you don't understand. also, requests are open!
You’re tired.
It’s been an exhausting past few weeks; Between helping Wednesday with her investigations, worrying about being a victim of untimely death yourself, and on top of all that, keeping up with your academics, you’ve hardly had the time to even so much as think about Rave’N.
“Wait, what do you mean you don’t have a date?!”
You shrug at Enid, who gapes at you in askance. “I just don’t. Really, Enid, it’s not that big of a deal.”
It’s a Saturday, and you, Wednesday, Enid, and Xavier are seated on a grassy patch - A brief respite from the flurry of school.
“I mean, it’s only one of the most important social events of like, the century!” Enid exclaims.
From beside you, Xavier snorts. “C’mon, Enid, it’s not that big of a deal.”
He turns to you now, eyebrows raised. “Though i am surprised that no one’s asked you out yet.”
Unbeknownst to you, satisfaction bubbles in the long haired boy’s heart. It's not that he’s happy nobody has asked you to the dance - It’s just that it means he still can.
But your nonchalant reply sends his heart racing. “I never said I didn’t get asked out. I just said no.”
Shit. Xavier frowns, avoiding your gaze. So people have asked you out. Of course, what was he thinking? You’re only the most beautiful girl in Nevermore. How could he even delude himself into thinking you didn’t have boys falling at your feet?
Of course, you’d turn him down too. Why wouldn’t you? You’re smart, you’re funny, you’re kind, you’re gorgeous… and him? Well, he’s just there. By your side.
Your best friend.
What would happen if you said no to him, like all those other guys? There’s no way your friendship could recover from that, no, not at all.
The only thing worse than not being your boyfriend was not being your friend at all.
“-I mean, I don’t… I don’t even know what to say!”
Xavier blinks, snapping out of his daze. He sees Enid shaking her head, at an utter loss for words as she says, “You turned down… all those guys? Why?!”
All you do is shrug, and Xavier swears you glance his way before replying, “I guess… I guess I’m just waiting for the right guy to ask.”
Tumblr media
You don’t see Xavier much after that.
If you’re being honest, you're a little disappointed. It’s only five days to Rave’N, and you still don’t have a date. Not that it matters much; After all, you’re perfectly content going on your own. It’s just…
Well, you were hoping a certain long haired artist would ask you to accompany him. But you’re quickly realising that that wish was going to stay that way - Just a wish.
A hopeless, desperate wish.
You curse under your breath as you leave yet another class without speaking to Xavier. It’s almost as if he’s been intentionally avoiding you, though for what reason, you haven’t the faintest clue.
Did you do something wrong? Was it something you said? Something you wore?
Come to think of it, he’s been distant ever since Saturday. Saturday. What happened on Saturday? God, all you can remember is that picnic with Enid and Wednesday, talking about the Rave’N, and… and…
God, what is it?!
You have half a mind to walk over to his dorm and demand for him to open up, but what good would that do? Xavier’s made it abundantly clear that he has no interest in conversing with you, so why should you be the one putting in all the effort when he-
“Y/N!”
Speak of the Devil and he shall appear.
You turn, forcing an unimpressed look on your face despite the fact that your heart is beating a mile per minute.
To your surprise, Xavier looks nervous. Perhaps the most nervous you’ve ever see him - You don’t even think he was this anxious at the Poe Cup. He’s holding something behind his back, you note. Something pink. And green.
You eye him warily. “Xavier, what is it?”
He walks up to you, hands still clasped firmly behind him. “Look, I… Fuck, this is harder than I thought it was gonna be-”
You feel a sinking pit of dread in your stomach. Your head spins, and your voice cracks as you stutter, “Xavier, are you… Are you friendship breaking up with me right now?”
His eyes widen, almost comically so, and he’s frantically shaking his head. “What?! No, no, of course not!”
He tugs his hand through his hair haphazardly, one hand letting go of whatever he’s holding. You must be dreaming, because you think you see a pink petal float to the ground.
…Flowers?
You don’t mean for your voice to be so wobbly, but it is, as you say, “Xavier, I don’t… I don’t understand. You ignore me for days - No texts, no calls, nothing. You wouldn’t even look at me in the hallways! And now all of a sudden, you’re here… with flowers?”
He blinks, glancing down to the small pile of petals that have fallen off, and groans.
“Fuck,” he mutters lowly. “God, this is not how it was supposed to go-”
“hHw was what supposed to go?” you ask, perplexed.
“God, I knew this wasn’t a good idea, I knew it, I-”
“Xavier!” you exclaim, your heart lurching in confusion and exasperation and everything in between. “What is going on?!”
“I like you!”
And everything stops.
“I like you, Y/N, I like you so much it… it hurts, okay? And I wanted to ask you to the Rave’N with me, that’s what all these… The flowers, this whole thing was about. I just couldn’t stand being around you and knowing that you don’t have a date to the Rave’N ‘cause it - shit - it drove me crazy. But it was stupid, I get it, it was stupid of me to do this, and I understand if you wanna pretend like this never happened, but I just need you to know that I love y-!”
Your lips are on him before he can even finish his sentence. It feels like everything’s on fire; His hands are on your hips, and then they're moving around your waist, and you’re being lifted off your tiptoes, and he’s kissing you back, and it’s-
Xavier is breathing hard when you break away, his face flushed.
You smile, and he bites his lip, looking at you bashfully. “So... Is that a yes?”
You laugh, nodding as you thread your fingers in his. You blush when he raises your linked hands to press a kiss your knuckles.
“Yes, Xavier,” you mumble out, feeling him smile in between kisses. “A thousand times, yes.”
