A small bed
Tumblr media
Pairing: Xavier Thorpe x Fem!reader Summary: During a cold night at Nevermore, you seek shelter in your friend's, Xavier, room, but as it turns out, sleeping on a single bed in two, is not as easy as it sounds. Warnings: SMUT (protected sex and oral sex- female receiving-) a/n: Let's play a game. Guess who's depressed and has done nothing other than "write" and watch Wednesday for the past few days? Please find the answer in the following text.
It was so cold in the room. Those stupid wooden thin walls never actually isolated the building from the cold. Funny how the headmaster seemed to have money to donate to the Mayor's campaign but none to invest in the infrastructure she herself was managing. The bedroom was way too large and the ceiling way too high for the mere thermostat to be enough to fight the cruel Jericho's cold. You could hear Edvin's low snoring coming from the opposite side of the room. You wondered how she did it, how she could fall asleep with this temperature. Maybe it had something to do with her nature, and if that was it, you wished for a moment to have been born a werewolf too. Able at least to close your eyes without the fear you'll freeze to death in your sleep keep you from doing so. you sighed. there was no way you were gonna do it. The alarm on the nightstand indicated the time. 3:46, plastered in red lightning, the only thing illuminating the room besides the sheer light coming from outside, the moon still emanating her immortal glow through the branches. The howling of the wind seemed almost sinister, as it infiltrated from the window. You gripped the blanket and wrapped it around yourself, sitting up on the bed. There had to be something you could do right? You intently thought about it, as the cold spread itself all over your body. They were no more blankets, so that was a no. there was hot tea in the kitchen, but that meant stepping outside, where the cause of your suffering had originated, not to mention you were still going to have to come back to this infernal room after, so that was another no. the gears in your brain were desperately operating, trying hard to find a solution, but it seemed the temperature had compromised also them, not just your body, which was now trembling, as the only one they could find was the first one you had thought of, but had deliberately discarded. It's not like it was a bad idea, he would have said yes, you knew. there was just something about it that didn't convince you, a feeling or, better even, a presentiment, that made you doubtful on whether it was a good idea either. But you didn't have time to think about it as you slipped through the door, glancing one last time, at that shadow-filled space.
The sound resonated through the whole corridor as your knuckles met the door's hardwood. Silence filled it just moments after. It's not like you were expecting a prompt reply, or one at all for that matter. Light footsteps echoed in your ears just before the doorknob turned. "Y/n?" Xavier whispered, his voice still hoarse and full of sleep. "I know, I'm sorry. can I come in?" He frowned, visibly confused "Uhh, sure" "Thanks" you immediately sneaked in. He closed the door and leaned on it, still incredibly perplexed. "Did-did something happen?" "No, nothing like that" You smiled "I just-" you bit your lip nervously as you looked up at him "I can't sleep in my room. It's too cold." "Oh" he exhaled relieved, calming you with him. "I didn't know where else to go. I'm sorry. I can go if you want" you said, realizing just now how crazy you must look. Showing up to his room at 4 in the morning trembling and without shoes on. "shit you're freezing" he noticed, immediately taking his bed's blanket and walking up to you. He was silent as he gently wrapped it around you, his hands remaining on your arms once you had gripped it. "Thanks" "don't worry." he shook his head. A sincere expression spread over his face, and you let yourself stare at it, loving the way he was doing the same. "so, can I stay here?" you asked again "Of course" he said, looking offended by the fact you even had to ask. He glanced at his bed, an eyebrow-raising itself "There's only one thing" he offered you an apologetic smile "There's only one bed. Rowan's old one doesn't have any blankets". You looked around. He was right. Only the single bed surrounded by drawing-filled walls seemed to be suitable to sleep in. Especially today. You laughed softly. It wasn't funny, well maybe just a bit, but most of all it was ironic. you had come here for shelter and the only one you had found was a very thin mattress you now had to share with someone else. You wouldn't have accepted if it wasn't for the fact that there was no other option. You definitely weren't going back to the hellhole you had just escaped from. "I think we can fit" "you sure?" "Well, we at least have to try" you said "If I go back to my room there's a 90 % chance that I'll die of hypothermia" "and we wouldn't want that" he chuckled, his thumbs stroking your arms through the cover. "no" you smiled "we definitely wouldn't". You liked looking at him, the moon illuminating only the left side of him, lightening his long amber hair to champagne ones. "all right then" he let his arms fall to his sides before indicating the way "Ladies first" "Why thank you, kind sir" you grinned as you went to the bed, laying down on it. It smelled of him. His scent was soaked in the sheets and in the pillow and you immersed yourself in it as you closed your eyes. You liked it. More than you should have, probably. "comfortable?" he asked, and you nodded sleepily as your eyes stayed shut. He laughed softly at how cute you looked, peacefully sleeping in his bed, and a weird feeling invaded his chest. He didn't pay attention to it as he walked towards you. You felt the bed creek and move as he climbed on it, laying just beside you. You hadn't really understood how small the bed was when you had looked at it before, but as you laid here, your two bodies glued together, you realized just how wrong your estimate had been. Silence filled the room again as he set the cover on you both. You were still shuddering, it seemed like the cold had made its way into you and had now little to no intention of ever leaving you. "You're still cold" he whispered, his hand finding your arm again, just to caress it kindly. His touch felt like fire on your frozen skin. You opened your eyes, finding his already on yours. You swallowed nervously at how close you were, a few inches was all that separated you. If you hadn't been best of friends this would have looked romantic, you thought. But you were, so there was nothing to think about. "mh-mh" you nodded. "can I-" he murmured as he turned to lay on his side "I can hug you" he bit his lip "if that's ok" "Y-yeah sure. I'd like that" you said shyly and he smiled "ok" He scooted closer to you and you turned to your side, just like he had, facing the wall. You admired the extremely detailed spider on the drawing in front of you as he put one of his arms around you, tightly holding onto your chest, pushing you against his, and the other under your head. His body was flat against yours, from head to toe following your body's position. You could feel every inch of his body, his hair brushing against your neck where his breath was giving you goosebumps, his chest moving up and down against your back, and his knees on the back of your legs. He was warm, and as much as you were grateful for the cold beginning to leave your body, you weren't thinking about it anymore. What you were thinking about, was his hand on your stomach, and your ass-well- your ass dangerously close to his crotch. You gulped, if you had been on the verge of falling asleep before, you doubted you were ever gonna do it now. You kept staring at the drawing as you let yourself melt into his touch, so gentle and yet so reassuring. It felt nice. More than nice actually. Your neck was starting to hurt and you readjusted yourself to get more comfortable, inadvertently moving closer to him, and well, grinding against his lap. A small groan, clearly not intended for you to be heard, left his throat. "sorry" you whispered, faintly "don't worry" his hoarse voice traveled to your ears, as he tightened his hug. Shit. There was a weight on your chest and a familiar feeling in your belly, and you preyed that you would have fallen asleep soon, zeroing out all the possible mistakes that you were afraid you couldn't stop yourself from making, and that right now were all you wanted to do. All the thoughts passing from your head were things you knew you would have regretted later, like what would have happened if you ground again against his crotch, or if you turned and leaned just a few inches over, meeting his lips with yours. They were all potential, doable possibilities, that you could have explored in a matter of seconds, but you couldn't, you shouldn't. You were just tired, that was it. Xavier was your friend, and friends don't kiss each other, even if they really really want to. "Y/n?" a soft whisper in your ear. "Hm" you hummed "are you sleeping?" You turned your neck around, now really inches from his face, from his nose, eyes, and stupidly pretty mouth. "no" you answered There was a moment of silence, as he inspected your whole face, his eyes traveling from your eyes to your mouth and then up again. You felt butterflies in your stomach. You had never understood that expression, but now, all of the sudden, it seemed to make a lot of sense. "are you feeling better?" "yes, thank you" He moved his hand from your belly and brought it up to your face "good" he murmured, as he stroked your cheek. You felt your cheeks turn a brighter shade of pink. "I-" your voice died in your throat, as you forgot what you wanted to say. "You're very pretty you know?" he kept caressing your face "I don't think I've ever told you before" he smiled "but you really are" shit. He was making it really hard not to want to explore the possibilities. "I- thank you" you murmured. He looked at you, seriously now, penetrating and studying you, like he was really seeing you for the first time. "Y/n" he murmured, his eyes blinking slowly. "Xavier" you whispered too, before he slowly leaned over, indecisively getting closer and closer to your lips. you looked at him as he reached them, pressing his mouth on yours, in a chaste kiss. you barely reciprocated, still shocked this was actually happening. He leaned away, his eyes moving between your mouth and your eyes, desperately trying to understand what you were thinking, while also desperately wanting to kiss you again, this time, like he really wanted to. You looked at him, his beautiful eyes always so confident, now looked so hesitant. It was a weird image, a new one. You smiled subtly as you leaned over and pressed your lips with his, this time better, harder and more passionately as his hand on your cheek traveled to your hair. He stroked your hair as he kissed you lovingly, his warm mouth on yours, as you both closed your eyes. It felt like floating, like flying on cotton candy clouds. You had never felt something like this. he smiled as he leaned away, and you couldn't help but do the same. "you're a good kisser" he murmured" better than I expected actually" you gasped, pretending to be mad " you expected me to be bad? " you asked, realizing just at that moment something "and what do you mean by expected?" "well" he moved a lock of your hair behind your ear "let's just say there have been times when I wondered about this" "have there?" you grinned "yes" he kissed you again quickly "there have been" " Good to know" you bit your lip "and by the way, you're a good kisser too" "Oh I know" he chuckled, retracting his hand from under your head to place it on your shoulder, his fingers trailing on it. "I'm good at a lot of things" he looked at you. A fire burned in his eyes. Your mouth opened slightly in surprise, and he kissed it uncaringly. His tongue infiltrated your lips as he forced your head together with his hand. You could taste him in your mouth, Xavier, all of him. from his toothpaste to the tip of the pencil he bit constantly. It was all there. "And do you want to show me those things you're so good at?" you said, surprising even yourself "pleeeease" he begged, desperation clear in his voice as he gripped your head one more time, kissing you hard and messily as he pushed you to lay down on the bed. He didn't waste any time as he got on top of you, peppering kisses all over your face, while his hands explored every inch of your body, leaving a trail of shivers with his touch. You whimpered as one of his hands found your breasts "We can stop if you want" "no. please no" He smiled "thank god" he lifted your shirt and sweater "I was just getting to the good part," he said, as he lifted it over your head with your help and shamelessly stared at your bare tits " fuck you're hot" he said bending down to spread kisses all over them while groping and caressing them hungrily. "so" he started kissing down your belly "fucking" he trailed down under the covers "hot" he said, kissing your fully clothed pubis. You moaned softly at the hint of a touch he just gave you. You were desperate "please" as I said, desperate "patience my dear" he whispered sarcastically, as he hooked the hem of your pants under his fingers, toying with it. You whined softly "a virtue you clearly don't possess" he chuckled under his breath as he slowly took your pants off, finally freeing you. he bent down immediately between your thighs, looking up at you smugly. You met his gaze and bit your lip. This was crazy. You were friends and had been such for so long, and apparently, all it took was a very cold night and a much too small bed to make you forget about it, and for him to end up between your legs. Fuck, he looked pretty that way. He brought you back to reality as he bent down and kissed your clit, still looking at you. You moaned softly, and then he did it again, this time for longer, and your moan became louder and kept doing so until he was sucking your clit and you were screaming his name, your hands gripping his hair and the sheets mindlessly. Lost in the pleasure he was provoking you He was looking at you mesmerized as you threw your neck back, your eyes shutting close and your mouth open, those filthy sounds coming out of it. Xavier thought he had never heard something so beautiful in his life. "you taste so good y/n" he said, his words vibrating against your cunt, as his fingers came up to your pussy, slowly moving towards the entrance. You cried out as they entered you, Xavier pumping them in and out relentlessly. A very dirty sound echoed through the room as he kept doing that, not even your voice able to cover it, as he went back to sucking and licking all he could find. "xavier" you mumbled "s-shit" you tried to speak, but the pressure forming in your belly distracted you "I-I'm coming" you finally spat out, and he smiled against your cunt "then cum y/n, come all over me" he stopped just to resume again, even harsher than before. You felt a knot in your stomach and as he scissored his fingers inside of you again, hitting your g-spot perfectly, it broke down. Making you come undone, loudly moaning his name as you came down from your high. "shit" you sighed incredulously, as he came back up to your face, pressing his lips with yours once again, letting you taste yourself in his mouth. "you weren't joking when you said you were good" you giggled, and he smirked "I'm a man of my word" his hand found your side again "now" he looked at you "let me show you my full potential" he said, making you laugh giddily, exited for what was about to come. His hands left you momentarily as he took off his shirt and just moments after, his pants. You had never seen anyone undress that quickly. He leaned over you to reach into one of his nightstand's drawers, his hand reappearing with a tinfoil package between his fingers, the same ones that were inside of you moments before. You squeezed your thighs shut, just at the thought He looked down at your legs and smiled knowingly, as he slid the condom on his cock. You weren't nervous. It was weird, usually, you were always nervous at moment like this but you felt safe, and more than a bit turned on. "you're gonna have to open your legs y/n" he raised an eyebrow, and you tilted your head to the side, biting down a smile "and what if I don't?" he bent down over you "then I'm gonna have to open them for you" he ghosted your lips. you swallowed thickly. Fucking shitty shit. Hot. That was hot. You spread your legs and he smirked smugly " so obedient" he joked and you rolled your eyes. "look at me" he commanded as he positioned himself at your entrance "I want you to look at me when I'm inside you" Your mouth slaked open but you still nodded "use your words" "ok" you answered finally, and he looked at you proudly before slowly pushing himself into you. A series of stroked and interrupted moans escaped your mouth as he bottomed out, filling you up completely. You were doing as he requested, looking at him intently as your face contorted in all sorts of expressions. "you're perfect" he sighed faintly, as he placed his hand on your stomach, stroking it gently " so fucking perfect" he looked at you, making your heart miss a beat. his lips twitched up into a very thin smirk as he started moving in and out of you slowly, his veiny cock wrapped tightly around your walls. "feel so good " he groaned as he quickened his pace. One of your hands flew to his shoulder as you gripped it to bring him down to you. You wanted to feel him, all of him. And you did, as you hooked your arm beside his neck and reached up to kiss him desperately, leaving pointless little whines in his mouth as he kept thrusting into you. "shit Xavier" you cried out as he brought one of his hands down to circle your already overstimulated clit. "I know," he said without an ounce of real sorriness "just take it " he pecked your lips again "It'll be worth it" You were out of breath as you kept bouncing on his bed, your tits moving with you. his movements were fast and you were feeling so many things at once that you weren't sure you knew exactly where you were at the moment. The same knot from before was starting to form itself again. "you're coming" he said, through his panting, anticipating you. Some of his hair were stuck to his forehead, and his mouth was open, gasping for air in between his sporadical groans of pleasure. "mh-mh" you nodded desperately, your hips moving with his to get even more friction. "come baby" he murmured, the pet name echoing through your ears, and traveling straight down to your cunt "come for me" "oh god xavier" you had the time to murmur before a wave of pleasure overwhelmed you, a series of little fireworks exploding inside you as he kept moving, chasing his own orgasm while letting you ride yours out. "fuck" he growled as his thrusts got more sloppy "you feel- so f-fucking good" he groaned, before with one final push, he came, a series of profanities leaving his mouth before he collapsed on top of you, his head resting on your shoulder. You smiled as you realized what had just happened, and when he raised his head, you could see he was doing the same. "I think the bed was too small" you grinned "What makes you say that?" he laughed

word count ✩° : 3.4k
authors note ✩° : this was done in literally a few hours bc i’m obsessed and it needs to be addressed.
Tumblr media
The rules were simple.
They always have been. Follow what the people in charge told you and don't disappoint. If you disappoint them then you disappoint the whole community and what good are you if you're a disappointment. It was hard not to see school, ground zero for being the best, as a competition. In fact, you thrived working towards a goal of being superior than everyone else; maybe it was due to the fact that no matter what was put in front of you, you could understand it and write it off as done as soon as you wrote your name. However, there were some things you didn't get at times and that frustrated you.
Over the time you’ve known him, it’s been test after test, assignment after assignment, obscure experiment after obscure experiment to prove to this seemingly effortlessly perfect creature that you’re better than him, only for you to miss his mark by one. point.
“Maybe you should think less about being better than me and more about the material, Y/n.” Xavier would say, “But don’t worry, you ALMOST got the same score as me.”
It wasn't his snarky comments or obviously stronger memory than you that made you over the top angry, no, it was the fact that you couldn't understand how he was doing it. Nothing made sense and the feeling of not knowing made looking into his stupid hazel eyes, gazing at his sharp and defined side profile, and wispy long hair all the more annoying. Everything has to have answers. So why did he make your throat tighten every time you spoke to him? Or your face flush with dark shades of pink and red? It had to be anger. There was no other explanation.
All of the rivalry would eventually lead you both up to the annual Poe Cup. A boat race amongst four teams, five members from each house all stuck together on their respective hand crafted boats each representing a different Edgar Allen Poe poem.
You're on The Black Cat team while Xavier’s on The Amontillado team. For a whole week you spend with your team, preparing for the race and to utterly destroy Xavier because this will finally prove to yourself that you’re good at him at something.
“You ready to beat the shit out of Xavier, Y/n?” Your friend who knows your rivalry with the guy smiles at you, “Once WE have that cup he has to realize that all he is to you, is dirt.” She was right.
“Relax, F/n, why ruin my chances with excitement when I can take all of that and shove it in his face at the very end.”
Your other team mate taps you both on your shoulders, “You guys ready? It’s almost time.” With that, you watch everyone file into their boats, Xavier included, and so you and your friend make your way into your own seats. However, just before you adjust your headband on your head, you decide to catch a glimpse of the destined losers on each side of you. Though no one else is important right now other than seeing him, so you give a side eyed glance in Xavier’s direction.
To your surprise, not only is he already looking at you, but, “Is he laughing at me?”
Your friend looks towards Xavier as well and scoffs, “Yeah,” She confirms, “Looks like they all are. Fucking clowns.”
As you chew on the inside of your cheek out of anger, a sudden whistle blows from Ms. Weems accompanied by a large megaphone that amplifies her voice as she speaks.
You can tell out of the corner of your eye that ever since your friend had rudely thrusted her middle finger into the sky for all the jesters to see, Xavier hadn't stopped looking at you. His eyes, laser focused, burned into the side of your head and it only made you more anxious for the race. You bite your lip ever so slightly and fight back the urge to look at him too.
Thankfully, you're saved by a gunshot that explodes into the air and suddenly your team gets pushed into the water.
Of all things, why should you be thinking about Xavier Thorpe and what he has to say or look at you for? All this time, you've convinced yourself that you could care less what he thinks of you. After all, the reason you're trying so hard to be better than him is the very reason that motivates you every day to get up and face him. Otherwise, you'd be locked away in your dorm with nothing to do but attend class and repeat the cycle. In a way, he was your reason to wake up.
“Y/N! Duck!” Your friend suddenly snaps you out of your mechanical like motions of rowing as hard as possible. Wasting no time, you dodge the flying axe coming your way by a hair. “What the hell?! Y/n, focus!”
“I am focused, F/n.”
“No, you're not. You got that lost look in your eyes. Stop thinking about Xavier and maybe pay attention to all the objects being thrown around at us? So you don't die, and most importantly, so we can win this for our hall?”
For the rest of the distance from the starting line to the other end of the lake, you try not to look behind you as looking behind you would only distract you from the prize. All of your team puts in their all in rowing as fast as they can together in sync, each arm pushing at the exact same second as everyone else to really glide through the water. Despite nets being tossed, siren students diving under boats and tipping them over, and very small fire crackers being thrown into other boats, three teams are left remaining to the next stage of the race. Getting the flag.
“Go go go!” F/n pushes you up, “Get the black flag. We’ll be waiting here to look out for anybody.”
Not wanting to waste anymore time, you nod and start sprinting directly into the old, creaky forest. Dry leaves crunch under your feet in threes, making their crinkles the only noise in the entire forest. That’s good, you think, that means no one else came yet. Quickly jumping over logs and rocks, you make your way to the flag destination, only to see that your black flag is missing.
“What the—”
“Hey,” a voice calls out from behind you, “Looking for something?”
The cheesy line doesn't go without an eye roll as you turn around, “Xavier.”
“You don't seem too happy to see me.” Your rival stands with a shit eating grin on his face, comically extenuated with crimson, drippy paint.
You're quick to reply, “I'm not. You took my flag which I need to win this. So hand it over, Thorpe.”
He raises his hands and allows you to charge up to him just close enough so that you're barely touching the tips of his pointed shoes with your jet black boots. “What? Who says I have your flag? I JUST got here in case you hadn't noticed.”
“I actually haven't noticed. Because why would I stop to care about where you are?”
“You seemed to care when we first started.” Xavier leans down and twists his head slightly, just enough for you to be caught off guard and step back, “I saw you looking at me.” His tone makes you shrink back.
Heat rushes to your face in a fleeting panic and almost immediately, your chest twists your rib cage hard enough to squeak out, “I WASN'T LOOKING AT YOU! YOU were looking at ME!”
Xavier raises his brows and chuckles, “I remember differently.”
Of course he has to be cocky now. “Look, Xavier. Just forget this and let me go. Your gross sweat is getting all over me.”
“Oh is that so?”
“YESNOWLETGO.”
He snickers at your flustered nature but decides to go the extra mile and tease you further, “You do realize that we all have to get back, Y/n, its kinda the whole reason why we made it here. Though it looks like its just the two of us.” He turns to both of his sides and then directs his attention back to you, “I’d say we have a little time.”
Again, you emphasize, “WE don't have time. Unlike you, I actually WANT to win. Xavier, I don't know what your deal is or why you're so obsessed with me and making me look like a complete and utter fool, but once I win this for my team, it ends. Do you understand me?”
Xavier exhales deeply, “You know, for someone who’s so high strung and smart, you're really dumb, aren't you?”
“What?”
He steps forward, causing you to back into a tree. You can feel the roughness of the tree bark as it etches its way across the backside of your suit, causing a mildly discomforting feeling that shivers throughout your skin. Before you can move forward, Xavier steps closer, basically eliminating any means of escaping.
“Why am I so obsessed with you? Is that what you think this is? Obsession?”
You look up at him to find his naturally tall stature hunched over to be at eye level with you. Surely, if anyone to walk into the scene, they’d think you two were stopping the competition just to make out. Even though Xavier’s hand is firmly pressed just between your ear and shoulder and he was just over an inch close to you so that your noses are barley touching, it’s not like that at all. Yet, at least.
“That’s what I just asked.” Your eyebrows stitch together bitterly, “Can you not hear, clown? You don’t understand how hard it is for me to watch my reputation die because of you and your perfect grades and your perfect art. What makes you think you can just parade yourself around to be better than me?!” The questions leave a burning sensation in your throat.
“Reputation? Grades? Is that what this is about?”
“YES! Are you DENSE?!”
Instead of matching your violent glower, you watch as the clown leans his head to the side in laughter. His lips parting just enough so you can see his sharp teeth laugh at you too, “Y/n, did you just call me dense? What is that? An insult? At least I’m not the one who always scores lower than me.”
Embarrassment? Anger? Nervousness? Why was his laugh the thing to make you feel weak now? Maybe the first two are theories, but the third is a definite fact. Your eyes are quickly drawn in by his hazel pupils, curious and dilated as they stare back at you. For a moment, the silence between you two isnt filled with hate or rivalry, but peace. That is until he lets out a breathy laugh after getting a good look at your calm face for once.
“Y/n, cat got your tongue? Or do you just not have anything else to say to me other than ‘I hate you’ and ‘stop being better than me’?” He points a finger to your feline head accessory.
"Shut up.” You bark, “Dumb isn’t really a good insult either. You are so full of shit—"
Xavier moves closer, now toe to toe with you and just a breath away from your face.
“God, Y/n, cant you see that I like you? All this time I thought it was so obvious. I mean, how are you going to tell people you're the smartest person in the room when you cant even pick up on subtle hints that basically spell it out for you?” He says, “Or are you too busy to notice anyone other than yourself?”
His words cause your heart to pound once, twice, and before you know it you can’t hear anything but the thumping in your chest and the soft winds surrounding you both. Xavier parts his lips again, determined to give you the answers you've been so desperately searching for.
“Do you know how fucking exhausting it is to pretend I hate you back, just to have the opportunity to talk to you?” His tone is exasperated and shallow, but he doesn't break eye contact with you, “You seriously thought all those times we got close was because I wanted to be ‘better’ than you in some subject?” Almost like he doesn't believe you, Xavier shakes his head in disapproval, “The only time Ive wanted to prove to you I'm worth something is now.”
His confession only fills your head with more questions, “That doesn't even make any sense! How can you say you didn't actually want to be better than me when that's all you did?” You feel the heat saturate into a dark pink that settles into your cheeks, “And why are you telling me all this now? Why are you so adamant on telling me that you—”
Xavier doesn't even acknowledge your questions, he just continues to hold a burning tension between you and him, focusing only on one thing.
Fuck.
Maybe its the fact hes so close, or that he told you hes liked you all this time, but right now it feels like nothings stopping you from telling him too. It just feels so right.
Before you know it, your mouth opens on its own, your bottom lip trembling for just a second. Xavier’s eyes trail down to your lips, then back into your eyes, and a small smirk pulls the corner of his ivory painted skin up.
Without another second to lose, Xavier tilts even closer than he thought he’d ever be to you and cups your cheek, finding the courage you both need to pull you into an unexpected kiss.
The pastiness of your rival’s white face paint rubs against your dewy skin as the taste of him spreads across your pallet, rough, warm, and agonizingly slow. With a gentle hand, you bunch the back of Xavier’s thin yet airy suit and fall into him, curving just enough so he can extend his hold on you.
Xavier knew that he wanted to touch you. It’s basically been his dream ever since he got close to you and seemingly hurdled himself into being your rival. But he’d never admit that. Or maybe, now he would. Gently, Xavier clasps onto your hips more carefully, securely rubbing his fingers against the skin tight latex uniform you were forced to wear which gives him enough grip to hook his desperate palms onto your body.
You break away for a second, just long enough to look at his face and how mesmerized he is by you and just how fucked you are in this downward spiral of messy feelings and requited love. Love you are much too afraid to commit to. But, Xavier pulls you back into his lips and makes you forget all of your worries, even the one you're supposed to be most worried about.
The kiss practically captures you for what seems like an eternity, erasing all memory of the Poe Cup and time spent hating Xavier's guts only to now realize that that hate may have been fueled by a painfully simple crush. But you wouldn't admit that either. Though, now there’s no other explanation to the methods behind your madness.
Soon enough, your hands find their rightful place in his long, messy hair, scooting his jester cap off easily. Had you known his hair was this soft before? You always told yourself you didn't care but now it was too hypnotizing not to twirl your fingers in. In fact, it’s practically asking you to grab it and play with it, screaming at you to touch it, touch him.
Xavier’s hips press into yours, giving you the go ahead to adjust your position so that your thigh is comfortably resting atop his hip. The stance feels too natural to be normal, and you're both caught off guard by it. Yet, you continue to taste him and feel him up close without another thought.
Nipping at your bottom lip, you can feel Xavier let out a sigh of relief, as if kissing you has been something on his mind for years. Only half of that could be true. Still, his victory cheer makes you do your own version with a quieter huff.
You give the roots of his hair a tight squeeze before your shoulders relax and another sigh escapes from your now open mouth. The force of his lips smashing against yours pushes you back successfully, leaving each part of your body to surrender to his. For once, you let it and as much as you hate to admit it, whatever he was doing was working.
When he finally pulls away, your breath is harsh and so is his. No matter how hard you could try, looking away from his hazy eyes was not an option. Just like the fog around you both, his gaze is inescapable and suffocating. You knew kissing your rival was a bad idea, but neither one of you want to move your hands from their proper places on each other.
Just then, a distant voice calls out to Xavier that snaps you out of your absentmindedness. “Shit,” Xavier curses softly against your lips, “Thanks for that Y/n,” he pulls away, much to your hidden displeasure, “But...I have a cup to win.”
Suddenly, it all comes hurdling back.
“FUCK! THE RACE!” You tear yourself away from Xavier, breaking the warmth between you both, and scramble to find your flag, “YOU CONNIVING SON OF A BITCH. YOU DISTRACTED ME!”
“I hope you don't mind but I actually sort of hid it.” He grins slyly at you, straightening his suit with a swift rub on his chest, “No rules, remember?” He pulls out a flag from behind him and snickers. Has he had that this entire time?
A flash of surging anger fumes inside of your chest, but Xavier just smiles. In his mind, it’s almost laughable how you fell for his devious yet successful confession slash plan. It was too good to pass up. And judging by the sour pout on your face, it worked!
“Y/n,” He chirps, “Was I a good distraction?” He can’t help but ask.
You avoid his gaze and turn your head to other possible directions your flag can be in, “You're the worst, Xavier.”
He runs a hand through his brown hair and smooths it down, “Right, right. You hate me. But I got you pretty good, didn’t I?” He picks up his jester cap and lazily smashes it onto the top of his head, “I'm gonna go, but, you should totally meet me in my dorm tonight? At 8?”
He makes his hasty exit before you can reply, leaving you breathless and weak in the knees—mostly tight fisted and furious, but still, weak in the knees.

“So, Y/n. Do you want to explain why you...left for so long..?” Your teammate asks, kind of scared to ask in the first place but confusion was eating her alive. How fitting.
Instead of answering, you reply with strong and swift robotic motions that quickly thunk your boat along the shore line, taking a good chunk out of the grass and soil. Unfortunately, half way through your synchronized rowing, some water kicked up into the boat and soaked your costume. You didn't care though. All you wanted was Xavier.
And his head on a stick.
Sounds of congratulatory cheers erupt from the crowd as Xavier and the rest of his jester-like teammates hold up the Poe Cup trophy together.
“Bitch.” Is all you can say when all your other teammates wash up next to you, sad, defeated, and soaked with murky lake water.
“Well get them next time, Y/n. Don’t be so hard on yourself!” Your friend smiles happily.
Yeah. Tonight.

It was becoming harder and harder to actually focus on what he was saying. Every few seconds, he would have to run his hand through his hair to push it away from his face as it fell in his eyes. Did he not have a hair tie? He usually did, so why, of all days, did he not have one now when his hair seemed to be the biggest bother of them all? Not even the way he spoke of Tyler could make her think he was more of a bother than his own hair.
To anyone around, it would not seem as though she listened to what she was told, as she just focused on a spot in front of her and let him talk. But she was, truly. Listening was one of the things she was best at, and she really wanted to hear Xaviers' reasons for why he disliked Tyler so much. Seeing as she had yet to meet him, she wanted to understand why he found the guy annoying and often rolled his eyes whenever she mentioned her sister just saying something about him.
If y/n ever told Xavier that Wednesday had been to talk to Tyler, he would scoff, then just tell her he was an asshole, idiot, bitch—or just whatever bad word he could come up with to call him. She would never admit it out loud, but she had labeled Tyler as an asshole ever since Xavier called him one.
After spending so much time together, the two quickly became close. Xavier had been intrigued by her since she came to Nevermore with Wednesday. He was intrigued by the fact that she did not appear to show much emotion on the surface, but as he got to know her, he discovered that she cared for people more than most people realized.
On the other hand, y/n had been pretty reserved in the beginning. She always eyed the tall boy strangely whenever he talked to her, and there was a certain kind of caution in her about actually getting to know someone. He had yet to learn why she had been so wary at first.
Now, Xavier had not noticed how quiet she had been for the past few minutes. He was too busy shittalking Tyler to notice. The fact that y/n wanted to listen and had said, "Please enlighten me. I'm genuinely curious as to why." So seeing as she had finally asked him to tell why, he had started off just telling how Tyler and his friends had destroyed his mural and jumped him. That slowly turned into a rant about everything he found annoying with him that had now gone on for the past five minutes.
Xavier had not gotten any kind of implication that she listened anymore. The silence that had become all too noticeable from her, as well as the looks they had received from fellow students, were not unnoticed. Just to kind of get an idea if she seemed to listen, he leaned forward to see her face. She was indeed just staring into space.
He let out a sigh that made her blink, turning to see that he had stopped talking and running his hand through his hair for the hundredth time. "And you're not paying attention, are you?"
Turning, he saw that she was now looking at him, blinking, and in her eyes he could see the confusion that did not fall upon her face.
"Who said that I'm not? Because I most certainly have been paying attention." It wasn't that she hadn't listened; she just thought it better to stay quiet and let people talk without disturbing them.
"What have I even been talking about then?" His tone was challenging; he was leaning forward and maintaining eye contact with her the whole time, a smug smile on his face.
"You started by explaining why you dislike Tyler, but then you just started mentioning everything that irritates you about him, which was about twelve different things, and all while doing so, your hair has been bothering you."
"So you did listen," It was not actually a question to be answered, yet he got one either way.
"Yes, I did." She paused for just about a second. "I have to admit that you constantly having to fix your hair was quite irritating."
"I don't have a hair tie." Even if he knew he didn't have one, he looked down at both his wrists just to make sure and felt through his pockets, seeing if one had magically appeared (though that wouldn't be a surprise, this was Nevermore after all.)
"Here." Turning his head back at the sound of her voice, he was met by y/n holding up a black hair tie in front of him to take. This caused him to take a second look at her; she looked at the hair tie and then up at him, silently telling him to take it.
"Thanks," Was he feeling cocky about seeing just the slightest of hesitation in her eyes while she looked at him? Yes, he surely did.
Their fingers were brushing as he took the hair tie from her, but as soon as Xavier had a grip on the hair tie, she quickly retracted her hand. With a smirk, Xavier gathered up the top part of his hair into a half-up, half-down style just to get the most annoying part of his hair away from his face.
"If your hair is being such a bother, maybe you should consider cutting it." It came out so suddenly that his hands just dropped from tightening the hair tie, and he turned to her with a questioning look. He thought she liked his hair as it was; at least Ajax said that's what Enid had told him.
"I sure hope there's an and—or a but to that." Xavier was able to detect just the tiniest bit of hesitation in her, as she seemed to have an and or but to that suggestion.
Swallowing hard, she could feel herself struggling to come up with the words to say it. This was what Enid had said: compliments can be a good start, but y/n was not one who ever really gave compliments. Plus, if she had gotten to know one thing about Xavier, it was that anything that would, in his ears, be considered a compliment was going to boost his ego. as if he didn't already have a bit of an ego.
"But," Turning just slightly to face him, there was already an amused smirk growing on his face. Her cheeks were growing increasingly hotter. "I don't think you should, because I like it as is."
"What would you do if I did cut it, though?" Yes, this was feeding into his ego a bit more, but to be honest, his insides were feeling as if butterflies flapped their wings a bit harder than they usually did. y/n looked around at the people in the courtyard while thinking about the question, also looking for the three others that were to join them.
"You would be six feet under."
"Oh, that's how much you actually like my hair." It was really amusing for Xavier to torture her like this, as somehow he could make out that she was getting a bit flustered by all this. He stood at his full height and poked her sides, making her jump and squirm.
"Stop that," y/n told him while swatting at his hands and being able to smack them a few times when he went to poke her sides even more.
As she struggled to smack his hands away from poking her even more, there was something that made him stop. Her lips had unconsciously pulled into a small smile that made him stop completely. Xavier had actually never really seen her smile; most of the time if she felt a smile pull on her lips, she would cover it up in some way, but this smile was one she had not noticed herself.
Just as he was about to say something about it, she was pulled away from him. Enid had been quick when walking up to the two and hooked her arm with y/n's, pulling her away from standing so close to Xavier. Both of them were taken by surprise.
"y/n!" Enid cheered loudly while holding on to the girl's arm and hugging her, earning a side eye from y/n, who then glanced at Xavier.
"My friend." Enid said, just as Wednesday and Ajax had caught up to them, shooting a glare at Xavier, who simply raised his hands at the werewolf-girl.
"Rude." Before the other two reached them, Xavier just took a last glance at her, trying to see if her smile was still there, but it wasn't. He liked it; the way she smiled made his insides flutter even more.
He wanted—no, scratch that. He needed to see that smile again.
——
Spending time in Jericho was better than being at Nevermore and having classes. No long boring classes about plants, no math, no assignments to do—just a day where all students could take a break from school. And sure, some of the work they could do in Jericho was maybe not the most entertaining, but all of the students from Nevermore saw any work as better than just sitting in school. Most normal people would consider school at Nevermore to be fun and unique, but it was simply a school designed for odd people, such as the Nevermore students, to feel less odd.
It had been Enid, who did not want to stand y/n just sitting around as they worked, telling her she would stab her eyes out with fire irons while being bored, who had given her the idea. So Enid told the Addams girl about a certain tall, blonde-brunette boy who was probably bored out of his mind at the Weathervane Cafe (it was a desperate attempt to get them together); she knew he would be; Xavier told her that Tyler worked there, so it would not really be his favourite thing ever. So that was where she was heading.
It was slightly cold outside, being autumn and all. The winds that blew the leaves around made it colder as she walked down the pavement of Jericho, seeing the cafe sign only about a hundred feet in front of her. When she finally arrived at the door, she did not hesitate to push it open, allowing herself to be engulfed by the warmth from within.
It was calm; not too many people were there; only about ten other people were there. There were a few duos that conversed with one another while simultaneously sipping on their coffee, tea, or whatever they were drinking. Four of the other ten people sat alone, one of them an elderly man who sat in one of the corners with a cup of black coffee and a brownie while reading the newspaper.
She took off her jacket, as it was warm enough inside without it. The cafe was placed just perfectly in town, as one could look out the windows and see the town just outside. The smell of coffee was the most noticeable of all, something y/n did not care for because she found the bitterness unpleasant.
Walking around the counter so she could look at all the drinks and things they sold, she found that there was no one at all behind the counter.
The calm was soon broken, however, when someone working there walked in, though it was not Xavier but a boy with shorter, curly hair. Something to know about y/n was that when she was out and about, she would not have her eyes completely relaxed so as to not seem so closed off, even though her voice wouldn't be the most expressive one, just to make people not feel as though they passed her off.
"Hello, is there anything I could get you?" The boy behind the counter gave her a slight smile, prompting her to mentally repeat what Enid had suggested she try.
"Hot chocolate, with some whipped cream and marshmallows." The boy behind the counter nodded and took out a mug to start making her drink, but she just turned around with a question on her mind, and y/n noticed he wanted to ask something. "Yes?"
"It's just that you remind me of someone I know," Her eyes narrowed in response to his statement. "Ehm, what's your name?"
"y/n Addams." He had just gone back to start making her drink and once again turned back to where she stood on the other side of the counter.
"You're Wednesday's sister, she's told me about you." Not true; she hadn't told him about him, just mentioned her sister. She knew that much about her sister. But, even if she didn't seem to care all that much, family was the one thing she cared about and only ever seemed to care about her. But Wednesday would never tell anybody just all about y/n, she knew that.
y/n realised who she was speaking with. The boy with whom Wednesday only briefly conversed and interacted. But he was the one who jumped Xavier with his friends. Okay, so you know what I said earlier about y/n already labelling Tyler as an asshole because of Xavier? Yeah, that still remains. She let her eyes that she had keept a bit less relaxed, finally, relax which made her whole expression change. Only Tyler appeared to be unconcerned.
"That means you are Tyler." Her eyes flickered over to a figure coming into her view, someone that Tyler could not see.
As soon as y/n mentioned her name, the blond-brunette in the back perked up from his sulking over having to work with Tyler. With furrowed brows, he had walked in behind the counter and now stood about twelve feet behind Tyler, leaning against the wall. Xavier knew that she had seen him enter, and just for the heck of it, he crossed his arms and waited to see how long it would take for Tyler to notice he was there.
"Yeah, yeah. Your sister has mentioned me?" It was a miracle he didn't notice her averting her gaze to Xavier with a questioning look in her eyes before returning her gaze to Tyler.
"Yes, my sister..."
Just as he was about to say something more, Tyler finally caught on that y/n were looking at someone behind him. Turning around, he saw Xavier leaning against the wall, arms crossed, with an annoyed look on his face. He raised a brow at the curly haired boy before looking at y/n who was looking between the two boys.
"You two know each other?" Tyler finally spoke as he turned to y/n; the question was directed at her, but it seemed that Xavier was about to answer, though y/n did not let him even utter a word before answering.
"Yes, he is my friend," y/n said after a brief pause. "And told me all about you."
Right then and there, Tyler realised why she had gone from looking a little tired to having a completely annoyed face when looking at him. Her tone signalled to him that she was hinting at just what he thought it to be. For him, it was awkward.
Finally having enough, Xavier pushed off the wall and walked towards where Tyler was behind the counter, clearly using his height as intimidation. "I'll just take this."
"Oh yeah.." With a glance at each of them, Tyler swiftly walked to start cleaning up some tables from previous customers that had left.
"Well," Xavier said, leaning forward on the counter, which she stood on the other side of. "Have you made your own assessment of him?"
"Asshole." That was all y/n said, and it made the boy in front of her chuckle, which in turn had an effect on y/n as her lips tugged into a smile at the sound of his laughter.
"You are right about that." Looking back up at her with a smile, his eyes flickered to her lips at the sight of her smile once more.
It was as if, for the past week, he had been playing "find the smile" on her. Trying to catch every smile she'd ever give, he'd seen about eight so far, nine including this one. She was good at hiding most of them. It was something about the way he smiled that he couldn't quite put his finger on, but it felt important. The fact that y/n seemed not to know that she did smile and that every time she did, he got to enjoy it.
"What are you doing here, either way?" Shaking his head, he asked just to come back to reality.
"To cut a long story short, there was an issue with the number of volunteers, so I couldn't work with Enid and my sister at Pilgrim World. Enid said I should go and spend time with someone who I actually enjoy spending my time with, so here I am."
"Oh, so you do enjoy spending time with me. Good to know I wasn't imagining it then." Her smile was still present on her face, which made this the longest she had ever held a smile.
"If I didn't, then me and Wednesday would have spent our first night here enjoying gravedigging. Though that would be fun to do again." y/n trailed in thought as she remembered just how long it was since she and her sister had been gravedigging. They really needed to do that again.
"You know at this point that whenever you say something like that, it's just an empty threat," Xavier pointed out while standing up, pushing off the counter. "You like me too much to do something like that to me. Admit it."
"Will you just make me that hot chocolate of mine that I never got?" y/n sighed, trying to dodge what he had just said. But he would not let it go.
"Not unless you admit that you like me too much to ever carry out your threats against me."
Her jaw tightened in annoyance as she watched him stand back and cross his arms again, waiting for her to admit it.He was gloating at her frustration at having to say it just so she could get that drink. His gloating was also not he was god at hiding, clear as day showing he found satisfaction in making her admit to things she would never say out loud. He had gotten to know her too well.
"Fine.. I like you too much to ever carry out any of my threats. Now can please have my hot chocolate or I'll leave you here alone with Tyler for the rest of the day, Xavier." He did not care for the glare she was shooting him as he got what he wanted, letting out a chuckle once more.
"One hot chocolate is coming right up."
——
Music played softly in the background. y/n had just switched from one song on Xaviers' playlist to another as she felt the previous one was not one she could read to. Xavier didn't mind; he let her know the password to his phone for a reason—he wanted her to also enjoy the music being played and not just him. She just put his phone on the bench in his shed and turned back to her book.
This had all been Xaviers' idea. He had slowly wanted to spend more and more time with y/n, starting to steal her away from Enid and Wednesday, much to Enid's distaste. The werewolf girl had made it very clear to him that "I'm watching you, Thorpe." Not that he felt too threatened by the blond, as it was more Wednesday that he was a bit more worried about. Seeing as she was already keeping a close eye on them, she often narrowed her eyes at Xavier when he came and asked if y/n wanted to come with him.
Anyway, it had all been his idea. y/n knew about his shed, where he spent most nights painting, she had been there quite a few times with him, and he enjoyed the company. He would be painting, sketching, or just doing whatever as y/n would sit with a book in hand, engulfed in the story as they always had music on in the background too.
Today was like any other time when Xavier asked if she wanted to come to the shed with him. He had just simply asked after dinner if she wanted to, and as always, he got a yes. They had simply just done a turn for the girls' dorm, where y/n had gone inside her, Enid, and Wednesday's shared dorm and taken the book she had just started reading.
It was always amusing to Xavier because whenever they went to Y/N's dorm so she could get a book and he was waiting outside, he would hear Y/N threaten Enid. Then Enid would say something as y/n opened the door once more before being cut off again by the door closing. It was always amusing to him.
Today, though, Xavier did have a motive for bringing her out to his shed.
Again he turned his head just to get a glimpse at y/n as she read her book, then took a look back at his canvas, so far he had gotten the general shape. Inspiration had been low when they first got there about an hour earlier (they got there much later than they usually did as it was slowly pulling towards curfew), but her just sitting there, reading on, gave him something to paint. He would of course tell her when he had started to actually get to the details so as not to spook her, but first he just wanted to get in a rough sketch of her.
y/n had just gotten to page 393. Oliver and James, the characters in her book, were backstage between two acts. Oliver demanded knowing the truth, and it was keeping y/n on edge as James was quiet and did not answer. That confirmed it all; it was him, and it made y/n gasp, causing Xavier to turn his head.
He raised his brows at her, an affectionate smile on his lips as he watched her. "What?"
"James just confessed to Richard's murder, though Richard deserved it."
"Okay, I'm going to pretend I know what's going on in your book." He turned back to the canvas to do his own. But he still found the way she had gasped at the book cute.
"The character accidentally killed the asshole character, and the police have just found out and are there to arrest him." It was a simple explanation, but it gave him the least bit of understanding for what was happening in her book. She had only about thirty pages left, so I could not wait much longer until she was done.
"Interesting." Xavier nodded while just adding a bit of simple lining for the background of the painting. "Could you switch to that Russian song?"
"Which? I know more than one Russian song." She put down her book and took up his phone once more, tapping in the password.
"You know, that one you found when you and Ajax were looking for music."
"Are you referring to Molchat Domas тоска?" Without even waiting for an answer, she put on the song and turned to see if it was the right one. He gave it a thumbs up to indicate that it was the correct song. But he didn't turn away from the canvas, staring at it intensely to see if everything was to his liking (which it was).
y/n leaned on the stool she had been sitting on while reading to see the canvas, seeing just an outline or idea for what he was going to paint. She was completely unaware that it was her. "Even now, I know it will look excellent once you're done."
She did not think much of it and picked up her book once more to read the last few pages of it and see what the outcome was. Would Oliver and James see one another again now that Oliver was set free after doing his time?
For Xavier, however, the comment was more than just a passing thought. Because he knew she didn't often compliment people, he was completely taken aback.Eyeing her.
"You think?" He only got a hum and a nod as an answer to his question, but it did not give him satisfaction.
He then came to realise one thing: he still had his brush in his hand, and it still had wet paint on it. Looking up from the brush in his hand to the girl, whose eyes were darting across the page, she was too preoccupied with what was going to happen next to notice the malicious grin on his face as he raised his hand with the brush in it. Quickly, he flicked his wrist in her direction, causing paint from his brush to splash at her.
She jumped at the sudden sensation of something wet splashing on her face. Blinking, she raised her hand and wiped her face, only to discover paint on her hand. Turning her gaze up to Xavier, she could see him trying to keep from laughing at her reaction.
"What?" y/n closed her book and stood up, her entire face now a question mark.
"You think it's going to look good when I'm done?" Unbelievable.
"Yes, I just told you that, Xavier." Sometimes she wondered if he was deaf, but deep down she knew that he made her repeat things because he found it amusing.
"Okay, just checking in."
Annoyed that he had gotten paint on the cover of her book, she grabbed the paintbrush from his grasp and did the same thing he had done to her, flicking the brush, making it splatter paint on his face. When he opened his eyes and looked down at her, he scoffed and quickly grabbed one of his other brushes, starting to repeatedly flick paint on y/n.
As a result, a paint splashing match ensued. Both of them were flicking paint at one another, and whoever got it on them jumped just slightly at the cold liquid. Then, when both of them stopped, neither of them flicking paint at each other, Xavier quickly looked y/n up and down before reaching out and painting a single stroke with the brush on her cheek.
And they were both on each other once more. They had paint strokes on their faces; Xavier had a few on his shirt; their arms; and they both had paint splatters in their hair. It was fun, with Xavier laughing as y/n was able to do one long stroke on his cheek just before he could smack her hand away. And she was smiling, a smile that was all too strong to be held back, and it did not go unnoticed by herself. She felt it, but smiling always felt good when it had something to do with Xavier.
Finally, Xavier had enough and dropped his brush on the floor, not really caring, and to stop y/n he grabbed a hold of her wrists, holding onto her and keeping her from getting more paint on him, but his hold on her wrists was gentle.
"Okay, that's enough." He could feel her struggle a little in his hold on her wrists, but his focus was on her smile. She did not directly look at him, but she smiled, and this time it was obvious that she was very aware of it.
Looking up at him, her arms relaxing in his grip, she was met by his green eyes, which were already watching her. Her eyes flickered between his, unsure of what to do. She panicked inside as this was new territory she was stepping onto. But then it hit her how short it was until curfew, and she turned her head, seeing that darkness had started taking over the outside world.
"I should go before curfew," y/n mumbled, but just as she went to pull away from him, Xavier pulled her directly back.
It surprised her when his hands went from holding her wrists to holding either side of her face. His hands had a few undried patches of paint that transferred over to her face. But she didn't care. The way she was holding her face made her look up at him; it was hard to look anywhere else. "You should smile more."
Xavier studied her face, which both had brushstrokes and paint splatters here and there, much like his also had, stroking his thumb against her cheekbone before leaning down a little just to place a kiss at the crown of her head. Not wanting to go all too fast.
y/n just stood there and let him, feeling a warmth inside her even when he pulled away and smiled a little. Seeing just the tiniest bit of shock in her eyes.
"I don't want to get you in trouble, so go." He noticed she only paused for a second before returning to reality, turning to the table, and taking her book. It was amusing yet adorable to watch the pure confusion on her face.
She turned and looked at him before walking out of his shed and back to her dorm. A genuine smile was on his face. "Goodnight, Xavier."
"Night, y/n." Something was waiting for her in her dorm, or it should have been. Otherwise, a certain hand was going to do some shit.
Reaching her dorm, confusion was still painted on her face, but as soon as she entered, y/n was met by a bouncing Enid who jumped up and down. Taking her out of the trance that Xavier had put her in, so many rushed words were coming out of Enid's mouth, and she was clearly excited about something. Spotting her sister standing off to the side, it took her just a moment to understand what was going on.
"Oh my god, y/n! Look at your bed! Look at your bed!" It was the first words Enid said to y/n taht she could detect as the blond hurriedly pushed her towards her bed.
"What is going on?" y/n asked her sister, mind still elsewhere.
"Just do as she says," Wednesday was clearly tired by the way she motioned for her to follow Enid over to her own bed.
So she did, and her bed was indeed so etching to look at—something she hadn't noticed before on her perfectly made bed. There laid a necklace, a silver one. Thing picked it up for her, holding it out for her to take, and he nodded at the hand that just stood on her bed. Behind her, Enid was looking over her shoulder at the necklace. It was silver with a peal in a little thing. There was only a single note that read: to y/n.
Enid squeaked beside her out of happiness as Wednesday took the necklace out of her hands to inspect it closer. "Oh my god, you have a secret admirer!"
"How did it get in here? It was not there before, correct?" Wednesday handed the necklace back to y/n.
"Correct," She wanted to say what she thought out loud but bit her own tongue just as Enid stopped spinning around and flopped down on her own bed. Babbling on and on about something that again just became distant words. All the while, Wednesday seemed to also have her own thoughts on it. y/n smiled at the necklace.
It was something Xavier had wanted to see, but this had been the easiest way to do it.
He got a bit more out of the night than just being able to get that necklace to her.

notes — i am so obsessed with this man and this gif you don't understand. also, requests are open!
You’re tired.
It’s been an exhausting past few weeks; Between helping Wednesday with her investigations, worrying about being a victim of untimely death yourself, and on top of all that, keeping up with your academics, you’ve hardly had the time to even so much as think about Rave’N.
“Wait, what do you mean you don’t have a date?!”
You shrug at Enid, who gapes at you in askance. “I just don’t. Really, Enid, it’s not that big of a deal.”
It’s a Saturday, and you, Wednesday, Enid, and Xavier are seated on a grassy patch - A brief respite from the flurry of school.
“I mean, it’s only one of the most important social events of like, the century!” Enid exclaims.
From beside you, Xavier snorts. “C’mon, Enid, it’s not that big of a deal.”
He turns to you now, eyebrows raised. “Though i am surprised that no one’s asked you out yet.”
Unbeknownst to you, satisfaction bubbles in the long haired boy’s heart. It's not that he’s happy nobody has asked you to the dance - It’s just that it means he still can.
But your nonchalant reply sends his heart racing. “I never said I didn’t get asked out. I just said no.”
Shit. Xavier frowns, avoiding your gaze. So people have asked you out. Of course, what was he thinking? You’re only the most beautiful girl in Nevermore. How could he even delude himself into thinking you didn’t have boys falling at your feet?
Of course, you’d turn him down too. Why wouldn’t you? You’re smart, you’re funny, you’re kind, you’re gorgeous… and him? Well, he’s just there. By your side.
Your best friend.
What would happen if you said no to him, like all those other guys? There’s no way your friendship could recover from that, no, not at all.
The only thing worse than not being your boyfriend was not being your friend at all.
“-I mean, I don’t… I don’t even know what to say!”
Xavier blinks, snapping out of his daze. He sees Enid shaking her head, at an utter loss for words as she says, “You turned down… all those guys? Why?!”
All you do is shrug, and Xavier swears you glance his way before replying, “I guess… I guess I’m just waiting for the right guy to ask.”
Tumblr media
You don’t see Xavier much after that.
If you’re being honest, you're a little disappointed. It’s only five days to Rave’N, and you still don’t have a date. Not that it matters much; After all, you’re perfectly content going on your own. It’s just…
Well, you were hoping a certain long haired artist would ask you to accompany him. But you’re quickly realising that that wish was going to stay that way - Just a wish.
A hopeless, desperate wish.
You curse under your breath as you leave yet another class without speaking to Xavier. It’s almost as if he’s been intentionally avoiding you, though for what reason, you haven’t the faintest clue.
Did you do something wrong? Was it something you said? Something you wore?
Come to think of it, he’s been distant ever since Saturday. Saturday. What happened on Saturday? God, all you can remember is that picnic with Enid and Wednesday, talking about the Rave’N, and… and…
God, what is it?!
You have half a mind to walk over to his dorm and demand for him to open up, but what good would that do? Xavier’s made it abundantly clear that he has no interest in conversing with you, so why should you be the one putting in all the effort when he-
“Y/N!”
Speak of the Devil and he shall appear.
You turn, forcing an unimpressed look on your face despite the fact that your heart is beating a mile per minute.
To your surprise, Xavier looks nervous. Perhaps the most nervous you’ve ever see him - You don’t even think he was this anxious at the Poe Cup. He’s holding something behind his back, you note. Something pink. And green.
You eye him warily. “Xavier, what is it?”
He walks up to you, hands still clasped firmly behind him. “Look, I… Fuck, this is harder than I thought it was gonna be-”
You feel a sinking pit of dread in your stomach. Your head spins, and your voice cracks as you stutter, “Xavier, are you… Are you friendship breaking up with me right now?”
His eyes widen, almost comically so, and he’s frantically shaking his head. “What?! No, no, of course not!”
He tugs his hand through his hair haphazardly, one hand letting go of whatever he’s holding. You must be dreaming, because you think you see a pink petal float to the ground.
…Flowers?
You don’t mean for your voice to be so wobbly, but it is, as you say, “Xavier, I don’t… I don’t understand. You ignore me for days - No texts, no calls, nothing. You wouldn’t even look at me in the hallways! And now all of a sudden, you’re here… with flowers?”
He blinks, glancing down to the small pile of petals that have fallen off, and groans.
“Fuck,” he mutters lowly. “God, this is not how it was supposed to go-”
“hHw was what supposed to go?” you ask, perplexed.
“God, I knew this wasn’t a good idea, I knew it, I-”
“Xavier!” you exclaim, your heart lurching in confusion and exasperation and everything in between. “What is going on?!”
“I like you!”
And everything stops.
“I like you, Y/N, I like you so much it… it hurts, okay? And I wanted to ask you to the Rave’N with me, that’s what all these… The flowers, this whole thing was about. I just couldn’t stand being around you and knowing that you don’t have a date to the Rave’N ‘cause it - shit - it drove me crazy. But it was stupid, I get it, it was stupid of me to do this, and I understand if you wanna pretend like this never happened, but I just need you to know that I love y-!”
Your lips are on him before he can even finish his sentence. It feels like everything’s on fire; His hands are on your hips, and then they're moving around your waist, and you’re being lifted off your tiptoes, and he’s kissing you back, and it’s-
Xavier is breathing hard when you break away, his face flushed.
You smile, and he bites his lip, looking at you bashfully. “So... Is that a yes?”
You laugh, nodding as you thread your fingers in his. You blush when he raises your linked hands to press a kiss your knuckles.
“Yes, Xavier,” you mumble out, feeling him smile in between kisses. “A thousand times, yes.”

It’s not like Xavier meant to do it. It was an accident and nothing more. He simply lost control and that’s not his fault. If anything, you were to blame for this.
You just looked so pretty in your cute dress, hair just like he liked it and a face as adorable as it gets with eyes lined and lips glossy. He was sure you’d finally say yes. Why else would you dress so beautifully to meet him in the woods? Especially knowing how he feels about you. It was for him. All for him and him only. For his eager eyes and yearning thoughts. You knew what you were doing.
But as always, you rejected him. Coldly, this time. Gone were the bashful and quiet apologies as you refused to meet his eyes, staring down at your feet or glancing over your shoulder as if you were afraid someone might hear you.
No, that wasn’t the case this time. You looked him in the eye with a huff, gaze hard. Your words were sharp and firm when you spoke, “can’t you take a hint? I don’t like you, Xavier.”
He was stunned, physically reacting with his brows lifting and eyes widening the slightest bit before they dropped, filled with the same venom that clouded yours, jaw clenching. It was so unlike you — well, the version of you he had concocted in his mind — he had the right to be angry with you. You disrespected him blatantly, again. All Xavier wanted was to love you.
Not even he could stop himself as his mind blurred before it blanked as he reached for you, wrapping his arms around you, brain and body fighting the urge to run his hands along your figure, desperate to feel it underneath his fingertips now that he had you so close. He snaked a hand up your body to your mouth, muffling your screams. You thrashed in his hold as he dragged you through the woods, taking the all-too-familiar path to his isolated art shed.
You panicked as he wrestled you to the ground, pinning your arms and running his nose along the column of your throat, breathing you in. You smelled so good, even better now that he could finally dissect the myriad of scents that made up the air that blew behind you every time you walked away from him, ignored him.
He wasn’t sure when you began to cry but your tears were already hitting the ground and soaking some of the brown strands of his hair when he kissed up your neck, savoring the taste of your skin.
“Xavier, stop,” you whispered, “I’m sorry.” You weakly pushed against him.
There was your sweet voice again. Fragile and delicate and so incredibly arousing. He sighed, kisses coming out messier and more frantic than before as he worked his way up to your lips that pleaded to be released, for him to wait, please stop.
Your lips touched briefly, nothing longer than a second before you turned your head, sobbing as you pushed more insistently. He was so caught up in the pillowy feel of your lips that he moaned pathetically against your cheek as he sloppily kissed the flesh of your cheek, eager for anything he could get. The salty flavor of your tears was as delectable as a delicacy.
As your legs kicked and your hips wiggled and your pants of exhaustion in his ear got shallower, he grew against your thigh, mindless jerks of his hips increasing speed as time passed.
Xavier felt himself grow warm, a deep, scorching pink painted his cheeks in embarrassment. What are you thinking? Are you thinking about how pathetic he is? Or how desperate he is for you? Maybe you’re finally realizing how badly he’s wanted to have you like this and just how far you had pushed him. You. Your doing. This was all your doing.
He used a single hand to pin your wrists, easily overpowering you as you tried to sit up, newly freed arm on its way to collide with his face.
“Sh,” Xavier mumbled, capturing your bottom lip between his as he slid an eager hand down your body. There was a violent throb as his touch hovered over your shoulders, so gently it seemed he was almost scared to touch what he wanted so badly.
It was quick to make its way back up when he felt a stutter come from your jaw. His hand wrapped around the base of your neck, a warning, “don’t even think about it.”
Xavier wasn’t used to being so demanding. Unfortunately this is what he had to do, it was his only option after all you had done. It pained him to make you cry — even if you looked so beautiful doing it. It hurt him to have to pin you down and take what was destined to be. You and him.
He felt you swallow under his hand as he encased your lips properly, tasting your mouth. He was already breathless, lost in you even when you refused to kiss him back, only making noises of protest as you squirmed.
His touch glided down your body, losing patience with you and himself for his hesitation. He’d have you again. As many times as he wanted after this.
He groaned into your mouth, frustrated at the dress you wore. Sliding down further, he pushed up your skirt, groping the fat of your soft thighs, tickling your flesh. Your knees twitched and he took a deep breath, pulling away from your lips to nip at your ears, licking the tears that dribbled down them.
“Xavier,” you cried softly, “please, don’t.”
A response was on the tip of his tongue but it quickly turned into a moan as his pinky came in contact with a wet patch on your panties. He laughed breathily, you didn’t mean that. Your body knew what your mind hadn’t quite grasped. You needed him.
You jolted, fighting even harder than before, “don’t touch me.” He could feel you getting angry, the fire in your eyes from before igniting again.
Xavier shook the hair that fallen out of his ponytail from his face to get a clearer look at your face. He wanted to watch you give in to the pleasure he would force on to you. His smallest finger ran up your slit and he watched closely as you fought the fluttering of your eyes. God. He had barely touched you and you already looked this perfect.
“Don’t,” you spat, trying to slide out from under him as you nails dug into his hand. He clenched his jaw, pursing his lips as he exhaled through his nose. Why did you have to make this so difficult?
He kicked your thighs apart with his own, settling between your legs. Your heat radiated, hot against his aching cock. He cupped your cunt, kissing your cheek as he pushed against your hole lightly to hear you hiss.
You jerked your hips when his fingers danced along the waistband of the soft fabric. He felt himself get hotter, cheeks turning redder when he glanced down, watching his hand disappear underneath it, immediately drenched in your juices. His palm stimulated your clit as his long middle finger prodded at your hole without entering it, teasing you. Your panties shifted with his movements, the bulge of his hand and slender fingers moving swiftly under the dainty bow near the top of your underwear jumping.
Your breath stuttered as you snapped out his name, “I said stop!”
Your voice was muffled as all of his focus was on the feel of your slick and tight heat choking the finger he forced inside you. Xavier all but whined at the sensation, cock leaking in his pants. Your feet kicked at the ground, chest rising and falling. In pleasure or frustration he wasn’t sure but he couldn’t be bothered to stop and ask as he squeezed another finger in.
You moaned, quickly closing your mouth to stop the noise. His eyes snapped up, flickering over your face. He had never heard a sound affect him more. Not even siren song could battle the noises of your pleasure. He’d do anything you asked him to. Well, almost anything. He’d never let you go no matter how many times your sweet voice pleaded for his mercy.
His lips crashed into yours, kissing you impatiently as he fingered you faster, trying to stretch you open enough to fill you full of his cock. You shook your head from side to side but he chased after you, swallowing your huffs and silent whines.
A whimper sounded in your throat as he curled his fingers, trying to find the spongy area that would have you purring for him. The noise had him removing his fingers, shoving them into his mouth as he leaned in close to you, breathing you in while your juices coated his tongue. His exhale was shaky as he shut his eyes, sucking harshly at his fingers to try and get more of your slick into his mouth.
“Xavier,” you breathed, “wait.”
His name fell so sweetly from your lips that he shoved his jeans down just enough to finally release his aching cock. He was leaking pathetically and throbbing against his hand as he pumped himself slowly, afraid he’d cum before he made it inside you.
“Fuck,” he mumbled against your skin. He gripped his length, hauling himself up to position his pulsing dick to your hole. “Shit,” he growled, tugging aggressively at your underwear that seperated you from him. “Sorry,” he murmured, feeling instant regret for hurting you, “I’m sorry.”
You started to scream as your ass felt the bare ground, tears building in the corners of your eyes as he slapped his cock against your dripping core. “Stop it, please, Xavier.”
He ignored you, gaze flickering from your cunt to your face as he pushed inside. He groaned as his head forced it’s way into you. It already felt like too much, the way your pussy latched onto his cock, welcoming him in despite your thrashing body.
Every inch had your screams dying, replaced with repressed moans as you opted to shut your mouth, denying him of the sounds. He couldn’t protest, concentrated on pushing back his orgasm that was too close for his liking. The last inch sent a wave of immense arousal down his body in the form of a shiver and a whimper. He stilled, focusing on his breathing and the bruised lip you tucked between your teeth.
You fit so well together, just like he knew you would. He glanced down, entranced by the way his hips were flush with yours, leaving no space for anything. You were finally one.
Your walls pulsed and it felt like they were begging him to move, to fuck you like he’d dreamed of doing too many times. He felt like all the waiting had been worth it now that you were choking his cock so deliciously. All of the times you rejected him, turned your back to him, dismissed him as if he wasn’t there, forgotten as he pulled back, watching the way your slick stuck to his hip as he retracted, keeping the two of you connected with a sticky string.
Xavier kissed your jaw as he pushed himself back in, nibbling at the skin near your ear. He tried to keep a slow pace at first afraid the urge to ruthless pound into you would take over. Your short, high breaths flooded his ears, a prize for resisting. It sounded like you were enjoying yourself, too. But how could you not when he was fucking you so well, patiently and passionately, just like you deserved. Even after all you did to him, you still deserved to be fucked like a princess.
Xavier smiled, pecking your neck as he rutted into you, his fingers undoubtedly leaving imprints of their shape on your waist. You found comfort in clinging to him, grasping his arms before curling your own under them, grabbing onto his shoulders.
“No,” you would cry, followed by a satisfied, “fuck.”
You were so warm and soft. He wished he had the patience to undress you properly, to touch you more. He’d have another opportunity, he reminded himself and that thought had his mind swimming. How could he help you adjust? Would it be difficult to get a mattress inside the small shed? Is there enough space? He’d be damned if you were uncomfortable in your little safe haven. It would be a place you would grow to love, he was sure of it. You just needed to process your new environment and the new dynamics of your relationship.
The loud whine that came from you brought him back to reality, back to the sight of you falling apart under him but trying to refrain from it. Your eyebrows were drawn together, mouth parted and face hot.
“M’gonna cum,” he struggled to utter out the words. “Fuck you’re perfect. Im gonna fill you so well.”
“No!” you screeched, pounding on his back as he pounded into you, thrusting harder and faster as his orgasm crept closer. “Don’t you dare!”
You pulsed more violently than before at the change of pace, clinging to his cock. He knew you wanted it, even if you wouldn’t admit it.
It was like you felt him about to burst, nails breaking the skin of his neck seconds before he came. You dragged them down and he felt blood rush down his neck as he came. The feeling was so intoxicating that he kept thrusting until he was milked dry despite the stinging pain. He didn’t have to look down to know that his t-shit was soaking in the crimson liquid so he opted to focus on your pretty face as he came down from his high. You were sobbing now, arms limp on the ground as your chest heaved.
Xavier begrudgingly pulled out of you, watching the pearly spent dribble out of your pussy as he stood. You stared at the ceiling, unmoving as he searched the shed, wordless. He wasn’t sure of what to say. Was there anything he could say at that point? He knew you didn’t understand yet. So he stayed silent until he found the lock and chain he had been searching for.
He walked over to you, clearing his throat. “Are you okay, sweetheart?”
You blinked at him. Sitting up and fixing your skirt as you dragged yourself away. He sighed, looking around to locate the blanket he knew he had around somewhere. He spotted it almost immediately, draped over an admittedly uncomfortable chair. It would have to do for now.
He draped it over your legs, smiling softly when you looked at him. “I’ll be back soon.”
It was a mistake, Xavier told himself as he stepped away from the now locked art shed glancing behind him and around the surrounding area as his hand attempted to soothe the fresh scratches on his neck. He just lost control for a second, it’s nothing major. You were destined to be there. Why else would he have done it? He wanted to love you forever. And now he can. You’d understand soon enough. The accident was a blessing in disguise.

xavier being loud
xavier x afab reader
smut, character aged up, minors dni 18+
goddd xavier fucking you so good, it’s late at night, he’s in your dorm, he shouldn’t even be there. you’re on thin ice sneaking him in in the first place, the last thing you need is to get caught fucking him.
he’s so loud. he loves the way your cunt squeezes around his dick and he cant help but groan. expletives leave his mouth and he’s drilling into you so hard that you have to clench your mouth shut to keep quiet. you adore the words leaving his lips, how pretty you are, how amazing your pussy feels. he’s grunting and panting hotly into your mouth and you curse the thin walls of ophelia hall.
your anxiety is rising at how loud he’s being and it pains you to have to quiet him but you do, unthinking, and smack a hand over his mouth. it’s like time freezes because his hips stutter and he’s immediately spilling his load into you just from that simple action.
he’s furiously red, his chest all the way up to his ears painted scarlet with embarrassment at how that slight act of dominance had him coming instantly.
“fuck.” he’d mutter, still hovering over you, still inside you, head hanging low. you were so taken aback, so turned on over the fact that xavier, dominant xavier thorpe, came so quick just from you shutting him up. he’d start apologizing, still blushing so hard, and it was endearing and so so hot. your gut clenched as he shifted inside you, still unable to meet your eyes.
“xav, baby,” you purred.
“sorry,” he flushed. “that was-”
“hot.” you cut him off.
he looked at you sheepishly, widely unsure and still obviously mortified. that’s never happened to him. he usually liked being in control but something about the way you just took over… it awoke something new inside him.
he went down on you immediately, making sure you came after that little incident, trying to make up for what he thought was so embarrassing.
after he finished and you felt dizzier than ever before, you cooed at him sweetly, praised him for being such a good boy, for listening so good. this was not the usual dynamic but you were experimenting, and you knew it was going well when his dick twitched.
“if you wanted me to take care of you so badly, you should’ve just said so.” you purred at him.
and so sub xavier came alive, you controlling his orgasm more often than not, and finding it really hot that he liked being bossed around.

dramatics
Tumblr media
pairing : xavier thorpe x reader
warnings : sub!xavier, making out, begging, hair pulling, friction, xavier c0mes in his pants
nsfw below the cut .・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
shoving your hands into his hair he weakened. his knees buckled easing the stingy bliss feeling releasing a hardened moan.
xavier was such a dramatic.
“baby, love, please,” his soft whisper seemed to echo throughout the dark library but reality it was the sound of his words going in one of your ears and out the other.
“fuck, fuck, i need you,” his whimpers went straight to your core, as you gripped his hair once again and continued kissing his whiny ass. he whispered some gibberish and let out strings of moans and groans. he really was desperate. you loved it.
“you’re so needy baby,” you said softly and in his ear. he hood jolted forward at the sound of your voice, as if he was so desperate he could just get off to the words you simply spoke. “i want you so bad, baby.”
many pants and begs left his mouth, “please, please, y/n, please!” his voice began to get louder, he clearly had forgotten where you guys were.
you kissed him hard on his lips to get him to shut the fuck up. “zip it, xavi. or you get nothing.” you threatened as he held back a moan. clearly everything you did had an affect on him.
your hands roamed down his body, one of them going back to his hair while the other slowly trailed down his muscular chest that was covered by a tight fitted shirt. “this shirt makes you look like a whore, xavi,” you said, your lips taking a brief stop from his but then reconnecting after you heard how those words turned him on as the others did.
“mmm,” he whined against your lips. your boyfriend’s figure was so tall and somehow you still always managed to metaphorically get him at his feet.
you grabbed him by the shirt, “i told you to be quiet didn’t i?” your mean voice made him shiver. he quickly started apologizing. “i’m sorry, yes, you did, baby. i just can’t, feel so good.” his voice cracked at his last words and you could see in his eyes how much he needed you.
your hand that sat on his chest slowly started tracing lower, “what do you need baby?” you slowly started palming his hard dick through his jeans, and he was at a loss for words. “i- i- oh, fuck,” after not having any friction for so long, this was heaven.
“mhm, keep whiny, honey, see what happens.” he quickly buckled his hips into your hand as you increased your speed. “that feel good, xavi? right there?” you spoke, grazing the outline through his jeans, your hand and voice was more than enough to get him close.
“fuck, fuck fuck, fuck, please, please,” countless begs left his stupid mouth as he rutted his hips up against your hand. his head fell onto your shoulder out of pure bliss and embarrassment and it sent shivers down your spine.
“go ahead baby. i’ll take you there,” you spoke, he felt the sudden urge to just let go right then and there, hair strands sweatily plastered along his hot forehead as his head rested on your shoulder in attempt to hide his pink cheeks.
“baby, baby,” he began whining more and you knew what he was doing, he always does this before he comes. “mmph, y/n please, please-”
you cut him off before he could beg any further, “go ahead, baby. i’m right here. let go,” you knew how much he needed this so there was no point in overstimulation, that could happen much later when he was whining in your ear again. right now all he cared about was you and how good you made him feel.
he let go with a loud grown followed by many breathy whines after, spilling into his blue jeans. you continued your actions until his breath slowly went back to normal and it was so good he noticed his hearing was only faint.
“yes, baby, thank you, thank you, so so so much, y/n.” he rambled on about how much he loved you and how grateful he was for you and it made you smile “you’re so welcome, love.”

something about you
pairing(s): xavier thorpe x fem!reader
wc: 1.6k
summary: xavier has been missing all day and reader is worried. she finds him and he realizes that even when he wants to be alone, he doesn’t want her to leave.
warnings: reader is shorter than xavier. other than that, none! slightly unedited
Tumblr media
something’s wrong. xavier has never gone this long without speaking to you. to be fair, it was only the second class of the day, and the two of you had texted the night before, but he usually sent a good morning text and walked you to your first two periods, as those were the only classes you didn’t share. it was the first time since your little tradition started, and you hadn’t realized how much you relied on his presence in the morning. you checked your phone for the thousandth time, hoping he had texted you, and you somehow didn’t see it.
time ticked by slowly, and you couldn’t control your leg as it bounced up and down. when your teacher dismissed you, you flew to your third period, anxiously awaiting the tall boy who sat next to you. your worry grew when xavier was a no show. you didn’t see him at lunch. normally, you sat with xavier, who liked to be alone, if he wasn’t with you. today, you sat with enid, yoko, bianca, and her siren crew.
“hey, guys,” you smiled as you sat down. everyone politely greeted you, and enid scooched over so you’d have a bit more elbow room. “have any of you seen xavier?” you asked, looking around the table.
“he’s your best friend,” bianca pointed out. “shouldn’t you be the one to know that?” you squirmed a little at her words, worry bubbling in your stomach.
“he hasn’t texted me all day, and he wasn’t in class either,” you confessed. “i haven't had time to check his dorm since it’s on the other side of campus.”
enid squeezed your hand, and gave you a comforting smile. “i’m sure he’s fine. maybe he’s just not feeling well.” you nodded, and tried to focus on your lunch. in botany, thornhill scolded you multiple times for not paying attention and being on your phone in class. you were texting xavier, asking if he was okay and if you did anything wrong. no response.
the second that you were dismissed from your last class, you took off running to xavier’s dorm. you pushed past many people, subjecting yourself to dirty looks and shouted curses behind your back. reaching his room, you banged on the door loudly. no answer. you hesitantly twisted the doorknob, and to your surprise, it was unlocked. “that’s not safe at all, xav,” you muttered to yourself as you let yourself in. the room was empty, with half of the room being devoid of any sign that someone was there. that was rowan’s die, before he left. xavier’s bed was cold, as if he hadn’t been there all day. that left just one option: he was in his shed. he had to be.
you left your best friend’s dorm in a rush, slamming the door behind you. you winced at the noise, and gave an awkward smile to two werewolves who shot you nasty glares. as you walked into the woods, you prayed that xavier wasn’t mad at you, and your mind raced as you recalled the conversations you’d had over the past few days, trying to remember if you had somehow upset him and not realized it. after about ten minutes of walking, you came upon xavier’s shed. you’d only been in it a few times, as you respected his space. you saw the lights through the windows on the door. you knocked on the door.
xavier opened the door, and your heart leaped. you hadn’t seen him all day, and you missed him so much. “hey,” you smiled softly. you knew something was wrong. his eyes didn’t have his usual shine, and he looked so exhausted. he smiled back at you, but it didn’t reach his eyes. xavier opened the door wider and wordlessly let you in. with one glance around the shed, you knew he’d been in here all day. crumpled balls of paper were strewn around the floor, his paintbrushes scattered around the table, along with half finished paintings leaning against the walls. xaviers face and hands were flecked with paint, and he just looked so melancholy. xavier had closed the shed door and come to stand beside you as you took in the messy state of the shed. you heard the soft voices of the neighborhood playing through his phone’s speakers. you gathered him up in a tight hug, which he returned, to your delight. the minute that his arms wrapped around you, you let out a small sigh and pulled him closer to you.
“you okay?” he asks, his voice raspy from not using it all day.
you huffed in amusement, finally letting go and looking into his eyes. “you’re asking me if i’m okay?” xav shrugged, the ghost of a real smile lingering on his lips. “xav, what’s going on? you’ve been MIA all day. did i do something to upset you, or…?”
he shook his head, taking a seat in his chair. “no, y/n, it’s not you. it’s just… the nightmares started again. last night, it was so bad i just–” he cut himself off and you hugged him again, slotting yourself in between his legs and pulling him close to you. “i took today off because i wasn’t sure if i could keep this one in. sorry for not texting you, i turned my phone off for most of the day. turned it back on like twenty minutes ago because i couldn’t stand the silence anymore.”
“wanna tell me what it was about?” you asked softly. “if not, that’s okay, but it’s better to not keep things bottled up inside of you.” he pulled himself out of your clutch, then pulled you onto his lap, burying his face in your neck. you told yourself that he was just seeking comfort from his best friend, but you couldn’t help the butterflies in your stomach and the way your hands became a little shaky.
“it was the monster again,” he began. “i keep seeing it, and it’s always the same dream. the monster gets one person. he tears them apart, and there’s nothing i can do to save them. i keep seeing the light fade from their eyes right in front of me, and every time, i wake up nearly screaming.” he lets out a shaky breath.
“who is the person you’re dreaming about?” you ask.
there’s a few moments of silence before he whispers the word “you”. your heart nearly breaks in two for him. you knew how much he loved you, probably about the same that you loved him. you couldn’t imagine having these horrible, recurring dreams about xavier.
“i’m so sorry,” you said. “want me to help you try and get your mind off of it?” he nods, and you jump up, immediately missing the feeling of his hands on your waist. xavier returned to his place in front of a canvas that was turned away from you. you grabbed an easel propped up in a corner and a blank canvas. xavier pushed some paint and paintbrushes towards you. you leaned over to grab his phone and turn the music up all the way. a chase atlantic song was playing. xavier seemed to be in another world, eyebrows knit tightly as he used deliberate strokes of his brush. every now and then, he’d look up at you in concentration and go back to his painting. you wondered what he was drawing.
you, on the other hand, were more focused on the music being played. you had a few strokes on your canvas of what kind of looked like a mountain range landscape. as the music switched, the song ‘something about you’ by eyedress came on. “i love this song!” you cheered. xavier looked up and grinned at you.
you began to theatrically sing along to the song, using your paintbrush as a microphone, and dancing along to the music. “she looks just like a dream,” you sang. “the prettiest girl i’ve ever seen..”
xavier laughed at your dancing, and you beamed, happy to see him happy again. “i love you,” he said, then looked startled at what just came out of his mouth.
“i love you too, xav,” you said, slightly out of breath from singing and dancing. you moved to return to your mountain range, but his voice stopped you.
“no, i-i love you.” he paused, looking nervous. your heart leaped in your chest as you dared to hope that meant what you wanted it to. you could feel it begin to beat faster as xavier put his brush down and moved to stand in front of you. “no one’s ever cared about me this much to check in on me and stay until i feel better. you mean so much to me and i love every second i spend with you. i’m sorry if this ruins everything we have, but…” his voices drops to almost a whisper, and he reaches up to cup your face in his hands. “i love you.”
instead of answering, you stand on your toes to press your lips to his, and he kisses you back immediately. your mouths moved in sync as your hands weave into his hair, and he pulls you impossibly closer to him. after what felt like a million years, you pulled away, trying to catch your breath. “you should’ve done that a long time ago,” you said, and xavier rolled his eyes, smiling.
“whatever,” he said, kissing you again. “so, can we be more than best friends?”
you smiled and wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him in for a tight hug. “thought you’d never ask.”

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Earlier in the evening you had received a text from Xavier that simply read: I’m in my studio if you need me. And you had started to miss him a bit even though you had just seen him a few hours ago.
So here you were, standing alone outside of his art studio at nearly 6pm. You smiled to yourself then walked in, the reminder of how Xavier had told you that you didn’t need to knock when you came here going through your mind.
You walked in to see him incredibly focused on another painting of the monster he had been seeing quite often in his nightmares, music by The 1975 quietly playing on his phone. In fact, he was so focused to the point where he hadn’t even noticed that you were now standing in his studio.
You wanted to help him destress a little bit, so you thought you’d get him to take a break from his art by comforting him and getting his mind off of that monster.
You slowly walked up behind him and placed one of your hands on his right shoulder, causing him to jump in his seat and set down the paintbrush that had been in his hand.
“It’s just me.” you told him while you placed your other hand on his other shoulder, assuring him that you were not the monster that had been clouding his mind.
He let out a relieved sigh at the sound of your voice then leaned over a little to pause the music he had been playing. He then turned around on his stool to face you, his eyes still a bit wide.
But that shocked look quickly went away once he tipped his head up and let his eyes meet yours, instantly feeling a sense of comfort. You always made him feel safe and he was more than happy to have you here, not wanting to deal with the feelings these nightmares caused on his own.
Not wanting to say anything to you quite yet, he then wrapped his long arms around your waist and started to bury his face in your sternum. He felt truly at peace as you wrapped your own arms around him and held him close to your body.
And just a few minutes later when he was ready to speak, he tipped his head up again and began to softly press his chin into your stomach while he looked up at you.
“Whenever I look into your eyes I feel as if you are putting me back together again. Piece by piece.” he admitted while he began to hold you as tightly as he possibly could in this position.
The sound of those sweet words falling from his lips causing a soft smile to appear on your face. It made you happy to know that you are actually able to make him feel okay again whenever he’s feeling horrible.
You then leaned down and pressed a light kiss to his lips, prompting Xavier to join you on his feet and kiss you back so that you wouldn’t have to lean down to reach him. His hands were now holding your face and your face was tipped up towards his.
And after a few more kisses, Xavier mentally decided that he had a few more things he wanted to say to you, “I love you more than you’ll ever know, pretty girl. You could take away all of my senses and I’d still find you. Truly.” he made known to you, his eyes never leaving your own, not even for a second.
This time, his words caused a sad smile to appear on your face. You knew you meant a lot to him, but you didn’t know that you meant that much. But you had to admit, it felt good to be loved in this way by him.
“I love you too.” you replied, desperately trying to hold your tears back but you gave up and let them flow just a few seconds later.
Xavier wiped your tears away almost immediately then bent down and hooked his large hands under your thighs so that he could pick you up. He wanted to hold you as close to his body as he could like you had been doing with him not too long ago.
You instinctively wrapped your legs around his waist and your arms around the back of his neck, silently enjoying the feeling of being so close to him as if your souls were intertwined.
His bent his head down a little once again to lean his head against your own, his soft lips resting against one of your temples.
He pressed a kiss there then spoke again, “You’re mine, all mine.” he murmured against your skin, now starting to slowly sway your bodies together as one.
You smiled the feeling of what he had just done and now felt the need to do some reminding of your own, “I’ll always be here for you, Xavier. No matter what happens, I’ll always be by your side.” you told him, feeling his hold on your thighs tighten a little bit.
You felt his tears start to slide down your cheek, signaling to you that you had accidentally made him cry by reminding him that you would always be there for him. You then tapped his back twice, your way of telling him that it was okay to wrap his arms around your ribs again.
And once his arms had shifted up to your ribs, you started to rub soothing circles into his back with all of your fingers on your dominant hand, “I got you, pretty boy.” you told him, pausing for a moment to press a kiss to his damp cheek, “I’m here, I’m not going anywhere. You’re safe, let your mind relax for a little while. Okay?” you said, earning a nod from him in response.
“Okay.” he mumbled as you then started to pull away from him a little.
You stared his face for a moment then started to press kisses all over his face, not caring if his tears got on your lips or not. You continued this for a few more moments and didn’t stop until you heard him laugh.
You then pulled away and looked at his face once more, happy to see a smile on his face, “There’s my pretty boy.” you said as another smile rolled out across your face, making Xavier blush.
Xavier stared at your face for a moment like you had done then pressed a bruising kiss to your lips, “I love you, so much.” he told you once his lips left yours, pure sincerity in his green eyes.
You tilted your head at him, the smile on your face now soft, “I love you more.” you replied.
“Not possible.” he said before he then lovingly rubbed his nose against your own, causing a fluttery feeling to appear in your stomach.

What was it about Marlon Acheron that made it so easy for you to talk to him? Was it the fact he was more popular than Xavier? Or was it his piercing red eyes, shaded with the dark lenses of sunglasses that intrigued you? Maybe it was the hair that was slicked back with a glossy finish from his stupid cinnamon scented hair gel. Or maybe it was all those things combined.
But Xavier is your boyfriend. Not Marlon. He knew his place in your heart, so why was it that every time his eyes scanned the room to find you, Marlon just so happened to catch you first and steal you away from him? Did you always smile like that with everybody or was it just Marlon? Didn’t matter. Xavier’s pissed.
At first, you thought you encouraged him to push though practice and were beyond happy to see him progressing so well. Even his instructor agreed he’s been on top of his practice and would soon topple Bianca for first place in rank. That was until you realized who his sparring partner was.
Marlon Acheron.
Marlon’s your classmate, not necessarily friend nor foe, and certainly not a guy you could call up and spend a few hours with at the Weathervane like any other of your friends. He was just there most of the time, in class and in the halls. But you did notice that he would give you some sort of special treatment.
Marlon’s your classmate, not necessarily friend nor foe, and certainly not a guy you could call up and spend a few hours with at the Weathervane like any other of your friends. He was just there most of the time, in class and in the halls. But you did notice that he would give you some sort of special treatment.
Whether it was saying hi to you first when you entered the training room, striking up some hollow conversation just to stall you from going to see your boyfriend, or accidentally ‘forgetting’ something that he’d ask you to retrieve for him. It was always his glasses so you found it strange that he could forget something so important nearly every other day.
Being the sweetheart you are, you thought there was nothing wrong with how he was acting. Plus, you forget things all the time so it’s not so different with him.
But Xavier is the complete opposite. He knows exactly what Marlon’s intentions are, they're all so obvious to him.
“No one forgets their glasses like he does. Especially not a vampire.” Xavier says when the two of you are alone after his fencing practice, “He asks you to get his shit every day. Can’t he ask someone else, like why does it HAVE to be you?”
“I forget things too, Xavier. I’m sure he’s just got better things to worry about like trying to actually get a chance to beat you when you two go at it. It’s not like they're prescription anyways, he said his eye sight is fine.”
Your boyfriend rolls his eyes and goes back to etching charcoal onto the canvas in front of him. Recently, he’d come to his secret shed with you so you both can have alone time and so that he can draw. He’d never tell you but another reason for these ‘dates,’ as he called them, were partially because of Marlon.
“He doesn't leave you alone, Y/n. It’s like he’s stuck to you like a stupid dog. It doesn’t even make sense because he’s a VAMPIRE.” Xavier exhales sharply, blowing some excess black dust off his work space, “It’s past the point where friends do that. Not even I did that before we got together, which is saying a lot because I was way more obsessed with you before.”
You lean back on the extra stool next to his chair and give him a nonchalant shrug, “Yeah, you’re right. But what’s your deal with him? Why are you so mad whenever we talk to him or when you’re sparring with him during fencing practice? It’s like you’re trying to kill him out there, you could at least give him a break.”
“Give him a break?” Xavier scoffs and turns to face you, “He slacks off every time we practice and when he finally thinks it’s time to actually practice, you walk in like some angel through the doors and suddenly all of his attention is on you.”
You stare at him for a moment, taking a mental note of his tight lipped frown and a glimpse of irritation in his shaking legs, “What do I have to do with any of that? I come to watch you. Your instructor said I should keep coming because you do best when I’m there, so I can’t just stop showing up.”
“Oh come on.” His brows fall flat on his face as he moves his head down just a bit, expressing his disappointment, “Y/n, the guy’s head over heels in love with you. You don’t see anything wrong with the way he acts?” Xavier stabs the end of the pencil back to the paper and aggressively whisks his hand over the art, smudging the side of his hand black.
"I guess it’s weird, but it’s not like he’s outwardly flirting with me. You know? Like I said, he’s probably just forgetful. Extremely...forgetful.” Even you can’t excuse Marlon’s behavior. Your attempt, however, only sours Xavier’s mouth as he shrivels his expression in disgust.
Xavier sticks out his chin, unintentionally showing off his cutting edge jaw to the side, and groans, “Maybe you should stop talking to him. Just ignore him when you come visit. Y/n I am this close to bashing his brains out if he keeps on doing this shit,” he holds up two fingers that are just about to touch, “It pisses me off how he always steals you before I can even say hi. Next thing I know he’s basically on top of you, asking you all these stupid questions like, ‘Y/n what do you think of my uniform?’ ‘Y/n can you feel my helmet to make sure its on right?’ ‘Y/n say épée.’ It’s sad, actually.”
You let out a much needed sigh and slouch down, “I don’t want to stop talking to him, he’s nice. But yeah, I wish there was a way to get him to stop or to show him I’m not interested.”
He thinks for a moment, his tongue poking the inside of his cheek, while moving his leg in one place. “I guess...no...” He lets out a quick breath, “What would make Marlon leave you the fuck alone...”
“You know, I’m picking up some jealousy...”
Xavier shoots you a glare, “Yeah, right.” but then suddenly raises his brows, “I think have an idea.”
You watch as he puts up his pencil, postponing his continuation of his sketch, and prop himself up more on the seat. Confused, you massage the side of your neck and glance attentively at his change in posture.
“Sit here.” Xavier grins, tapping his legs, inviting you to take a seat, “If Marlon’s going to act like you don’t have a boyfriend, I’ll just show him who you belong to and why he can’t ever have you."
Body moving on it’s own, you make your way towards him and plant yourself directly on top of his waist, grounding yourself by shifting side to side to find the perfect balance.
“And how are you going to do that?” You’re almost scared to ask, but the look on his face suggests something you don't even expect before it comes out of his own mouth.
“We have to show him you’re mine, not tell him. He won’t get it otherwise.” Xavier looks at you with sly eyes, teeth poking just barley from his lips, “I’m just saying, people like him don’t catch hints too easily. So it’ll be a sort of, slap in the face when he sees his perfect Y/n with hickeys all over her neck and down.”
You quickly open your mouth in surprise, “Oh that’s what we’re doing? I kinda thought you were going to brand me or something.”
“I mean...” Xavier looks to the side and chuckles deeply, “Nah, I’m joking. I do however want to do the whole hickey thing. I think that way he’d get it.” He holds up a finger and touches the front of your neck with the end of his nail, sending shivers all throughout your body as he turns his head to get a full view of his new canvas. “Yeah,” Your boyfriend wets his lips with the tip of his tongue, “That’d work really good actually.”
When you scoot yourself further onto him, you can feel the both of his palms barley cushion the underside of your thighs as a small grin pulls the corner of your lips up. “Really?” You tease, “You sure this has nothing to do with you being jealous?”
“Oh yeah, positive.” Xavier jostles his knee beneath you to scoot you even closer, “You think I’d be threatened by Marlon Acheron of all people? I’m offended, babe.”
You give a small laugh before gently holding the sides of his face and caressing the back of his head, combing your fingers lightly through his long hair, “Yeah? Well you should be. I’m surprised you haven't told him off yet.”
“You see how I spar with him,” Xavier moves his head to the side and kisses your collarbone, “I want to kill him for it, but I figured you wouldn't like that all too much.”
You roll your head to the side, granting him full access to your skin, and smile, “Hard to believe when all you've been doing is just carelessl-ly, trying to cut him.”
As you talked, Xavier wasn't too focused on the words coming out of your mouth. He knew all you were doing was trying to irritate him more so that he could handle you more roughly, but he had a little more class than that. Or so he thought. Truth is, he is better than no man when it comes to you.
Before he knows it, tasting the softness and sweetness of your skin quickly becomes an addiction he isn't quite ready to quit. Everything taste from warm notes of light amber to the freshness of a freshly picked rose, he can’t get nearly as much as he wants from a surface level skin kiss.
So he kisses harder. Licking and sucking down your neck, grazing the tips of his teeth and sharp canines along you as well.
“Wait, X-Xavier—” You groan just barely audible and tug on his locks with an even tighter hold than before.
Too focused on you, he doesn't respond and just continues to thrust his tongue over the gradually building bruises. Even though at this point you begin to move away from him in an attempt to stop him from darkening the marks beyond repair, he pulls you right back into place and moves onto another spot of vulnerable, untainted skin.
“H-Hah...X-Xavier...” A satisfactory moan as well as his name escapes from your throat so you bite your lip to suppress it as best as possible.
There was no thought of sparing you from weird stares you were sure to get from classmates, Xavier just imagined what Marlon would say or what he’d look like if he saw you, his seemingly perfect Y/n with marks made by his sparring partner. Xavier grinned at the thought.
As you manage, unsuccessfully, to keep your back straight and hands from roaming his body, it becomes hard to ignore the fluttery feeling building low in your stomach. His hand placement just over your hips, the way his neediness has somehow manifested it’s way into his mouth, and his panting complete with your own are all telltale signs that if this goes on for longer, you both wouldn’t last.
His tongue rolls harshly over the side of your neck, generously saturating your thin and sensitive skin under his suctioned lips with his saliva. You can’t help but squirm in his tight embrace, his fingers digging so hard into your hips you're convinced that they'll leave a mark as well, trying to hold you down on one place on his thigh.
“Stay still.” You can feel him grunt against your skin, “I’m not done yet.” Though his tone is demanding, you can feel the effects of his desperation ricocheting against his teeth. Or rather, his tongue, judging by his heavy breathing and increasingly deeper and longer licks he does.
“H-How many more?” The question comes out in a fleeting pant, trying to catch your breath, “How much are you going to d-do?” It was already impossible to stay put, you don't know how much more you can take if he keeps it up at this pace.
“Enough so Marlon can lay off.” With that, Xavier roughly squeezes your waist and lifts you up enough so that you're higher up on his thigh now, both your legs locked in between his own kneecaps. For a brief moment, you're met with the chill breeze of the airy shed hitting your wet skin, but it doesn't last long as Xavier pushes himself right back to his original position, earning himself a surprised gasp from you.
With his lips properly latched onto your jugular, he continues at an even deeper force and runs the tip of his tongue back over the already sensitive areas he’d previously marked. His extra bit of attention sends your mind spiraling. Of course, hes not fair either and only applies a bit of pressure from just the tip of his tongue.
“Xavi-ier...don’t make them so dark...” You gasp out, “I still have classes to go to, remember?”
“So?” His breath fans against your damp skin, “What if I want everyone to see?” He bites harder and laps up the remainder your scent off of you, messily bruising you more so that blooms of his intimacy can be seen miles away.
Your face flushes, “A-Are you almost done?”
“Almost.”
When he finally plucks his mouth from your neck, making a quick ‘pop’ sound before wiping his sleeve over his darkened lips, he pulls away and just stares. Just by looking at him, you can tell he’s proud of his work. Not the actual work he was supposed to finish, but the dark splotches of red and purple that littered all from the start of your jaw, down to just above the start of your chest. They're like trophies to him.
Most of all, he’s proud of just how worked up he somehow managed to get you. Just by the sight of you, your heavily blushed face, glossy and squinted eyes, and parted lips due to excessive hard breathing made him want to mark you more, in other places. But the ones on your neck would have to suffice, even if hidden ones only he could see would excite him more than the ones he could show off to some insignificant person.
Before you could even utter a breath of relief, a smirk slowly appears on your boyfriends face, only making you more nervous, “That should do it,” Xavier says, “How do you feel?”
“Like my entire neck is purple.” You laugh, pushing up the hair that had fallen over his face.
He chuckles, shaking his head, “Unfortunately, it’s not. But I can do that if that’s what you want?”
You grab his face again and mash your lips together with his, “Nice thought, Xavier, but I think this is plenty.”
He hugs you tighter, “Whatever you say. We should uh, we should go show him, shouldn’t we?”
You grin, “Maybe later, I still have to tell you what Marlon said to me yesterday.”
Tumblr media
Walking into the next practice of the fencing team, you strut down the well lit hall with your neck not nearly hidden as you’d hoped. Since everyone knew you were bound to show up sooner or later, no one really paid any mind to you walking in. Thankfully.
But Marlon and Xavier did.
When you look past Marlon and straight at Xavier, you can feel his eyes on you. This time, they weren't on your face or on your skirt like usual, instead they were plastered onto your neck and all of the hickeys that had remained just as dark as Xavier made them to be yesterday.
You can hear a small scoff from behind you, so you turn around and see Marlon standing, waiting for you to have some sort of explanation for the mockery of his affection.
“Y/n.” He holds his helmet between his arm and lodged against his hip, “Good to see you.”
Xavier watches as you walk up to Marlon, this time feeling more confident than ever. “Hey Marlon,” You smile, as per usual, “What’s up?”
“Nothing much. Question, did you get beaten up by someone?” Marlon points at your neck.
“Oh no, no my boyfriend kinda...” Your voice trails slowly, searching for the much needed reaction for both you and Xavier, “...yeah...”
Marlon nods slowly, tucking his lips under each other and furrowing his brow, “Right. I just thought you know, you getting my glasses all the time and us having a ton of inside jokes, that we had something.” The vampire spits, “I guess not.”
“You know it’s really funny you say that, Marlon, because actually,” Suddenly, Xavier appears next to you and throws his arm over your shoulders, “We are most definitely a ‘thing’. Didn’t know if that really clicked in your head but,” Xavier points to his head, “We are.”

Tumblr media
The table calendar was full of red inks all over, dirt sedimented on the sketchbook, and the pencils laid in the case in absolute solitude. Xavier looked at the calendar kept on his desk near his bed in all despondency and a heavy sigh escaped from his lips. It has been days since he stepped into his studio, have not touched his art accessories for almost a month. One thing was for sure, he was plagued by visions in his dreams but this time it was nothing demising.
This time his sketchbooks were not filled by a monster, this time he was not afraid to draw rather he was drawn to it; part of him was stoked while sketching while a part of him was reluctant to draw the whole picture. He had spent countless sleepless nights before, not resorting to sleeping as he was threatened by nightmares. And now his sleep was peaceful as if entering into the realm of dreamland.
Xavier was sure that his mind was captured by a girl who came to visit him in his sleep, never showing her face, only showing herself in bits and pieces. He had spent his childhood receiving showers of praise for his talent for drawing but the origin was never happy. Of course, he enjoyed it and liked to show off his talent for art but secretly he wished his power would vanish into oblivion, for it was never pleasant.
People say that the art of someone reflects one’s persona, one’s raw feelings but Xavier always begged to differ since those memories, those incidents were never his. There always had been a wave of remorse that washed over him after he stepped out of his art studio since the praises he received never belonged to him.
Many were astoundingly taken aback by his knack for drawing and suggested he pursue art, to be a renowned artist but he knew he would lose all the glory once he stopped having those dreams. Moreover, he did not always have such dreams so the possibility of waking up one day and being unable to paint and as a result, staring at a blank canvas scared him to death. Heck! He even considered going to Doctor Kinbott so that his sanity would not be hanging by thread.
For the last couple of weeks, he has been dreaming of odd landscapes. Xavier had never seen them in his life yet he saw how the dusky crimson hue smothered the snowy mountain ranges, how the clouds gathered before the arrival of a rainstorm, how the birds sang songs and all the owes and pangs of nature. One thing he could conclude from those dreams was that whoever it belonged to was a chaser of freedom, that is, was a soarer of the sky.
Xavier had not told anyone about his dreams, nor put them on paper to ease his mind. What would he tell? What would he draw? Last night was particularly odd concerning the regular pattern of his dreams. He dreamt of falling from a high cliff into the water and a broken wing. When he woke up, he was all soaked, even his bed, and his olfactory senses did not miss the subtle scent of stagnant water. He was breathing rashly as if he was the one who drowned as if he was the one to fall.
He closed his eyes and tried to recapitulate his dream, searching for a mark, searching for a recognizable feature, searching for something, anything, anything at all. His desperation knew no bounds when left his dorm and rushed into his studio in the middle of the night since somewhere at the corner of his hopeless heart he knew he found one, a ray of hope.
A lot of crumbled papers surrounded Xavier as he tried accumulating the pieces from his puzzled mind. Around two o’clock he left his studio on his bicycle, the paper where he drew tucked in his pocket. He was sure he had witnessed the scenery before unlike the others. When he finally reached the top of the highland, he witnessed the view from his most recent dream.
The only thing that engulfed his presence was the sound of the waterfall echoing through the woods. He noticed a pond nearby and an adjacent high plateau near it. It was higher from where he was standing. After looking around for a few minutes he figured that there was no way to go there unless one swam through the stream or flew toward it.
On his way back, he felt happy, he felt sane. At least he had proof of the existence of a creature that haunted him, even in his wake. Xavier showered before going to bed just to clear his head before a good night's sleep. He kept a white feather as a bookmark in his sketch pad while a smile smothered his face. He was right. He was haunted by a fairy-like creature.
“Two cappuccinos”, Xavier mumbled as he went back to the counter at Weathervane. It was another event where all the students of Nevermore set foot into the world of normies to carry on the ties between two polar opposite worlds. But no matter how much one tried, the other always tried to retaliate. Their relationship was always on a tightrope, it could snap at any moment. And it certainly did.
“And you did not bother to tell me about this. . .”, Principal Weems trailed off as she left her seat, walked past her desk, and inclined against it, “until everyone in town became aware of it.”
“I thought I was going to be called insane or bullied. Last time I told something about my dreams, I found myself behind the bars.”, he responded, keeping his eye on the ground. Principal Weems exhaled grudgingly. She had no grounds to punish this boy since he was not entirely wrong. Hence, Xavier was dismissed with mere detention.
Xavier was forbidden from the school campus for a week. Everyone felt sorry for him, in his situation but secretly he could not be happier because he had all the time to draw, sketch, paint and think — and it was all about her, y/n.
That day at the café, Xavier was the sole witness of a crime. It happened so quickly, so fast that all she could do was succumb to her fate. A man was standing near the corner of the kitchen with his back facing Xavier. Xavier was not supposed to be here but he had to fetch some ingredients for making pastries and cupcakes.
As the man turned around, Xavier saw a bloodied butcher's knife in his hand. Near his feet lay a girl with a bloodied back the blood quickly spread all over her blouse. She stood motionless, like a statue. The eye contact was merely for two seconds and he immediately smashed the sugar jar on his head, distracting him, to tackle her out of the way.
The other townies turned up for help. Not all people in the world came to be cruel and heartless. All Xavier did was contact Principal Weems so that she could swiftly take care of this matter, which she had to otherwise the reputation of the Nevermore Academy would be in danger. The girl was taken to a nearby hospital.
Y/n L/n was her name. After the untimely death of her parents, she was raised by her uncle, by a normal family. Naturally, when she began to bloom, she was forced to be normal. One would think she tried to run, tried to hide or fight but Alas! none was the case for this matter. She felt indebted to her uncle and his family, for taking care of her, aiding her upbringing, fulfilling the role of parents, and hence helping her to be normal. But Xavier's presence on that day turned her life upside down. She was now a student at Nevermore Academy, funded by Principal Weems’ study forum.
After you recovered within a week, the first thing that dawned on you was to meet him, Xavier, the ‘ hero ’ of your life. You knocked on the door of his studio and waited for a while. There was no answer for a few minutes and when you finally made up your mind to leave, Xavier showed up. He was in his casuals with a teeth-flashing grin on his face.
“How’re you, y/n? The last time I saw you, you were in a hospital bed and now you’re here. in front of me.”, Xavier danced on his toes as he walked into his studio. You followed him and the moment you stepped into his studio you were taken all in awe. The room was filled with artboards, canvases, and sketch supplies, and everything reflected you. Indeed, y/n did not come here to be thankful for what he did since she was not. She was not happy with how her life seemed so devoid of any family. Her uncle was the last of her family and now he is gone. All because of him, Xavier.
“You look better than the last time I saw you.”, Xavier added as he felt the silence between the two of you deafening. You swallowed hard as he tried to ease the tense ambiance thinking how rude of him to remind you of the very wound he was responsible for. There was a desk with a closed sketch pad that caught your attention.
“Your drawings are very beautiful.”, you pitched in opening it and your heart dropped at the sight of your feather that was kept safely in between those rusty pages. A short gasp escaped your lips as the whirlwind of your life hit you.
Xavier was standing behind you, close to your shivering body. “They are all about you.”, a low whisper before he extended his hand to remove the veil from the canvas. The cloth dropped at your feet revealing every bit of dreary in you that you always wanted to hide. You hated how he could see through your pangs and pathos, you hated how he could and would have eradicated all of it, even if it meant being burnt by it. You swiftly tackled out of his towering frame, feeling naked even though you were more dressed than him.
“Stay away from me. You shouldn’t come near me.”, Surprise took Xavier in all proportions. His eyebrows became congested as you continued. “I’m grateful that you saved me but do not do that again, ever.” With that, you walked out of his studio but a firm grip on your wrist kept you from running away anymore.
“Listen, I’m being haunted by you, your pain, your emotions, and everything you feel for the past few months, and all you could say to me was to stay away from you… not even a proper thank you.”, His breath hit your lips as he drew in a sharp breath before his amber eyes landed on you, your shaky lips and pale eyes.
Embarrassment rushed into your cheeks and you pushed him lightly uttering, “Stay away” with a little glare to ward him off but when you vanished out of his sight he was not dejected, not at all. Sure, he was conflicted but the way you told him to stay away whereas your body spoke otherwise made him relish the chase that has haunted him for months now.
They say one can only save people only if one wants to be saved. You neither needed help nor saving but you could see why Xavier begged to differ, wanted to be the odd one out, and craved the crown from saving you from your only family. You always had been a rebel since your childhood, going against the flow of the stream. Somewhere in the corner of your heart, you knew you were different, you would be different.
It was the end of June when you first felt your body ache, back arch, muscles cramping excruciatingly as if someone was poking needles in your skin. Your arms clung to your body as your back bled for the first time. The wailing of such lethal agony submerged amidst the sound of rain as two enormous wings grew with lustrous hues of carmine and amber. Your breathing became regular again, your body stopped hurting as the wings flapped open involuntarily. Every mark, scar, and wound on your body since you were a child began to heal, all by themselves.
Everyone rejoiced when you went through the family ritual and stood in front of your clan as the last phoenix of your bloodline. It was a miracle that a phoenix had been born in the bloodline but just like with blessings it came with a massive price. You were a healer and a destroyer at the same time. Somewhere something has to die to keep you alive, again and again. Every time you were wounded or hurt, your mother had to lose some of her life until she became lifeless, forever. But the family oracle told your father that it is a part of the process, part of a phoenix's journey that every one of their loved ones had to sacrifice in one way or another.
Your father just had a miraculous idea to save you and himself from the bottomless pit of despondency and mutual hatred lurking in his heart because of you. He volunteered to sacrifice himself even if that was against his will. The oracle seemed to be unsure about the idea, saying that the cycle might shorten but not cease. But your father was right, the cycle did cease and you became aware of it when your uncle tried to chop off your wings, uprooting the evil once and for all, and no one in your family was harmed. Still, unfortunately, you were under the radar of an outcast, Xavier Thorpe. ‘What would happen if someone not from your bloodline were to sacrifice? What would happen to your mate if they were not an outcast? What would. . . thoughts would not cease to bombard your mind until a knock disrupted your trail of thoughts.
You lifted your eyes for a glance only to find Xavier inclining against the bookshelf with a saccharine smile on his face. Your stomach turned at the sight of him. ‘How can a person be so forgiving?’ but it seems that he is rather forgetful than forgiving. He picked up a random book from the shelf and sat in front of you.
“You’re hurt. . .”, you murmured to which he responded, “more than you think . . .” while turning the pages of the book and occasionally stealing glances from you. You rolled your eyes and leaned towards the table eyeing his hands that had a lot of scratches. It was probably from a silly fight with other boys, maybe the normies; for him, it was just a scratch yet for you it was an opportunity to apologize for the other day.
“Give me your hand.” As you extended yours, Xavier's reflexively recoiled under the desk. “I’ve no intention of harming you.”, you uttered touching the palm of his other hand that was still on the desk. “Besides, I’m just clearing my debts.”
“Um-hm.”
You inhaled sharply before you flapped those lustrous enormous wings to heal with him, his wounds. Your wings glowed for almost a minute and the hand that was hurt was healed which he was hiding under the desk. It is impressive how Xavier hurt the very hand that can create masterpieces. What a clutz! He interlaces his fingers with yours as he murmured, “A touch . . . is all you need.”
You begrudgingly pulled your hand away standing up and yelling whisperingly, “stop it. stop this. . . and don’t come near me.” With that, you grabbed your book and went towards the exit of the library. Xavier sat like a child who would mourn for the broken toy rather than demand anew.
“Wait.”, Xavier followed you. He kept yelling in the middle of the corridor, “Y/n. wait.”
“Your wings.”, you finally turned your head but not without letting out a sigh of annoyance. “You’re hurt. . .bleeding” and that is when fear crawled underneath the skin.
“I never bleed.”, you retorted.
“And, I never lie.”
If it were someone else, you would have shooed them away. But this was Xavier, who saved you from an inevitable, to whom you owed nothing but the truth. Even though you tried to heal yourself you could not, perhaps because you healed someone and that too for the first time.
Xavier might be persistent but he was not dull. It didn't take him long to connect the dots and hence you had to do the very thing you wanted to avert from the first place. His room was not tidy but not neat and clean either. With Rowan gone he has the room all to himself. You wanted to go to the infirmary, but there wasn't anyone available. Besides, with all the mess you are in you didn't want to risk it.
“I promise I'll behave.”, he said, swinging his hands up in the air in a form of surrender. That made you smile a little as you turned around so that he could tend to the wound. He unzipped your dress and carefully tucked it along your waistline without harming the feathers. Even though you had your camisole on, you still felt naked. His fingers brushed against your skin. It was ice cold. You had to hold your breath as he dressed the wound.
Xavier noticed how your shoulder blades had been marked. He grazed his fingers over the part from where your wings grew that made you instantly shriek and move away from him.
“Are you done?”, you asked, surprise and embarrassment coursing through your skin. Your upper body was barely clad, nothing but an unhooked bra.
“No.”, and within a blink, his lips were already on yours. You could taste the longing and desperation with each suck. Your hands curled around his nape as his hands got rid of the minimal clothing from your upper body. “First time?”, he asked as he moved away leaving you breathless yet craving for more.
“Why? You care?”, you blurted out stepping out of your dress. Xavier eyed you from up and down. You did not flinch but rather smiled as you noticed his astonished face. You had nothing on but just the underwear.
“I do.”, one of his eyebrows jumped as he knelt near you. “I don’t wanna hurt you.”, he murmured grabbing your calf muscles and kissing your femininity over the cloth. He took a glance before tucking the hem of the panty in between his fingers and undid it. Your hand reflexively went over his head as he kissed your entrance, lapping over your pussy lips that made you suck in a sharp breath. He sucked on your skin, followed by a feeble bite into your inner thighs.
“AH!”, you winced pausing his ministrations. “Don’t you taste divine?”, he whispered kissing your lips, wetting them with the blend of his saliva and your slick. He was too dressed. You cocked an eyebrow at him and he took the hint. You co-operated as he became almost naked, and was back up even though you wanted him to continue.
“You won’t hurt me. worry for yourself.”, you said as you felt his hands palming your cheeks a little too long than they should. His hands traveled back to your entrance and you moaned under his slight touch.
“What? Never played with yourself?”, he added that surely turning the cogs in your head. You pushed him onto the bed, sitting on him struggling to take his cock in and he was not even helping. All he did was watch you let out whimpers of frustration as you lazily glided on his cock. He rested himself on his elbows saying, “Look at me.” And as you did, his fingers dig into your plush ass cheeks slowly adjusting you at a proper angle and stretching you. You kissed him so break the eye contact that made you feel naked, even though you were. Both of you jolted as you could feel his cock inside you.
His hands clamped around your waist as you bobbed on him, with greater force and broader strokes but slow. With each sloppy hit you felt his cock twitch inside you; your hands desperately roamed all over your body, heat bubbling as you could feel your body tensing, picking up the pace he was setting you in, and the orgasm lurking underneath. You can tell; a few more strokes and you would cum so easily.
He can feel it too. Xavier winced as he felt you clenching around his cock. His legs folded to support your back while your hands flew to his shoulder blades, his knuckles turning white, his grip growing stronger around your waist and you came right away, back arching and your wings flapping open involuntarily, eyes rolling white relishing the high as your thighs squeezed in.
With your breathing rash and heavy, you felt all mushy in the head and so was he. Xavier could have sworn that he has not seen anything more beautiful than this, than you sitting on him with his cock buried inside you; your skin glistening in sweat with your gorgeous wings at the display.
As soon as Xavier’s breath relaxed a bit he pulled you into his embrace for a kiss. He could not help it, you were too beautiful to look at. Besides, he was not done, not yet.

"Are you seriously telling me you don't have a single clue as to who could have given you that?" Enid's voice was exasperated as she had yet again tried to see if y/n had any idea who could have given her the necklace they found just the other night. All the moving had been full of the same questions from the blonde, while Thing seemed to get more and more tired of the constant nagging she was doing.
"No," y/n had a strong, and very reasonable, suspicion. After what had happened just the night before, it was hard for her to believe it was him. The handwriting on the note was also familiar—too familiar to go unnoticed.
"Seriously, you're dealing with someone who really likes you. I mean, they must do if they gave you a whole necklace and somehow got it into our dorm."
Enid was walking in the middle of the three of them, her arms hooked with both of the two Addams sisters, y/n a bit more okay with it than Wednesday, who had muttered out a few threats. They had just reached the classroom and walked inside to find seats, and today, y/n was determined to sit beside either her sister or Enid, for she knew that when Xavier entered and if he were to sit next to her, he would, as usual, take great pleasure in making her even more flustered.
"Or a murder." Wednesday stated her case clearly as she released her arm from Enids' grip and found an open seat. y/n didn't hesitate to take a seat right next to her sister, securing herself from having to withstand a cocky Xavier Thorpe.
"Where should I sit now?" Enid exclaimed, flailing her arms in the air at the two sisters. "Aren't you going to sit next to Xavier as always?"
"You can sit with Yoko." Wednesday motioned behind them to Yoko, who sat alone and smiled at the blond. Enid shrugged and did not protest, quite content and totally okay with sitting next to Yoko as she was a friend of theirs.
y/n had just taken out the new book she had chosen to read and was about to start on it when she was nudged by Thing. He poked her arm and pointed towards Enid and Yoko, and turning, she found both of them looking at her. She had most certainly not heard what they said.
"What?"
"Show Yoko the necklace! We found a necklace on her bed yesterday from someone!" Enid was beaming as she motioned towards the chain around her neck, and Wednesday sat turned so she faced her sister and the two girls at the bench behind them. Yoko had only leaned forward on the table to see better, clearly intrigued by what Enid had just said.
y/n stood up, reaching for the chain that was around her neck. She had it under her shirt, so it was a bit of a struggle to get it up without completely destroying her perfectly made tie. When she finally managed to get it out to show, she leaned closer to Yoko and held out the necklace, refusing to take it off. To be honest, she had put it on almost directly the day before when she found it and had not taken it off, even when sleeping.
Yoko took a close look at the necklace; the pearl that was inside the little cage-like charm moved as she inspected it. Enid had too leaned closer to once more take a look at it and Wednesday just sat and stared. "Who gave it to you?"
"I don't know." Was once more y/n's answer, but this time it was Yoko who had asked her and not Enid. Wednesday cast a suspicious glance at her sister; something didn't add up.
"You don't know?" Yoko was confused.
"No, I just said I didn't."
"She just came back covered in paint all over, and I had seen the necklace just minutes earlier while looking for my charger she borrowed." The blonde really did all of the explaining. y/n sat back on the stool by her and Wednesday's table but was turned away towards Yoko and Enid; it was still about five minutes till class.
"Covered in paint?" The vampire raised a brow at y/n who, instead of putting the necklace back under her shirt, had pulled it around so the tie of her uniform would hide it; it was less of a struggle to wear it that way.
"Yeah... why were you even covered in paint? Weren't you with Xavier?" Just as Enid said that, Xavier walked inside with Ajax behind him, and the mention of his name made him turn his head.
"Anything I could help with?" Xavier asked while he and Ajax walked and sat down at the empty seats to the left of Yoko and Enid.
"Yes! Why was y/n completely covered in paint when she got back to our dorm yesterday?" It was obvious to one or both of them, namely Wednesday, Yoko, and Ajax. Ajax had caught Xavier returning to his dorm, also covered in paint strokes and splatters the previous night.
Xavier took a glance at y/n, amusing smirk appearing on his face while y/n gave him an intense stare. "She was being annoying; it was the only way she would shut up."
"I got you better; you looked worse than I did." That was indeed a fact; Xavier had gotten the worst of it, and Ajax started to nod at her.
"True, you looked as if you'd gotten paint dumped on you." Ajax told him, which made the boy beside him smack his arm, feeling betrayed by his own friend.
"Seriously?"
"What? I'm just being honest, man; she got you good." Even though it was not the kind of payback that Wednesday would go for, hers being more brutal, she turned to y/n who blinked at her sister. She received a nod from Wednesday, as if it were a good job nod; it was well received and sufficient to demonstrate that she cared.
Enid had held out her hand for a high five as a way of saying "good job" to y/n. For a second, she just looked at the outstretched hand towards her before everting her eyes back to the blond, who motioned for her to give her a high five. With a sigh, and just the tiniest roll of her eyes, she did as her friend wanted. It was a bit silly of her to high-five over something like being able to get more paint on Xavier, but it made Enid happy, so.
As y/n turned to see how long it was till the teacher would be there, Xavier took the chance at hand to try and see if she was wearing it. Trying to spot the chain around her neck was hard, but when he looked a little closer, he could see the silver chain and that the charm was hidden behind her tie. It made a smile pull at his lips, and she wore it. He glanced at Thing, who sat on Wednesday's shoulder; the hand noticed and gave him a quick thumbs up, which was only noticed by Ajax. The gorgon looked perplexed, but Xavier didn't explain why Thing gave him a thumbs up.
"Hey, y/n got a new necklace yesterday!" There was just something about Enid that made her feel the need to tell everyone about it. At the boys' mention of it, y/n turned with a murderous look in her eyes towards the cheery girl. She loved Enid, but holy hell did she unknowingly feed into Xavier's ego.
"I do not believe everyone is in need of knowing that, Enid." It was Wednesday who told the girl off.
"Well, my bestie has a secret admirer who got her a necklace; that's cute!"
Oh yes, this was exactly what Xavier found enjoyment in. While Y/N sat and had all five look at her, she was very uncomfortable with all the attention. He was playing along and acting a little shocked, as if he didn't know anything.
"It is a necklace; there is no need to make it something bigger."
"Why are you wearing it if it's just a necklace, as you say?" Curse Yoko for always noticing the very small yet fatal flaws in certain things.
"It looks good, and I guess I appreciate the gesture." As usual, her face did not show much emotion, but her tone was a bit more questioning than confident. Though for Xavier, it was always her eyes that told the truth, and they said she did appreciate the gesture.
"Well, he's a lucky man then," Xavier stated so as to sound interested and not suspicious, but it made y/n turn to him.
"How do you know it's from a guy? It could be a girl, because you make it sound as though you know something." y/n pointed it out to him, which made Xavier open his mouth to say something but then close it as he gave up. He was shaking his head slightly at her while all the others were watching them interact.
Before anyone could say anything, the teacher entered the classroom, calling for everyone to get to their seats and open up their books. Xavier clicked his tongue at Y/N, who only gave him a fleeting glance before turning to do as the teacher instructed. Without shame, he could see her pull at the chian around her neck, making it a little more visible.
She did not notice, but others did notice the way he looked at her. The people behind or Ajax beside Xavier could see the way he looked at her. He would look forward and show he was focused on the lesson, but as soon as the teacher turned, his focus would be on y/n who listened intently to the lesson while fiddling a little with the necklace.
He was enamoured with her, and sometimes it was just silly how much he did like her. Some would say he was whipped and that she had him wrapped around her little finger. But he honestly couldn't remember how he got to this point or how he fell so in love with her. Sure, that day when they were waiting for their friends just about a week ago and she truly did smile seemed to have something to do with it. But he knew that. When it came to just a week ago, he had no clue about that.
Maybe it was the way she could sit and just listen, not say a word, and somehow still show she cared. It could very much also be how she actually trusted him; if he said something about someone (like Tyler), she would think the same, standing by him. Or perhaps it was the way she had begun to show more of herself after they had known each other for a while. She let her mask of an expressionless and emotionless person drop, slowly showing him her real self. Maybe that was what he loved so much.
He knew that she had figured it out. She was too smart not to. So why wait any longer.
——
Everything was a blur. How had it all escalated this fast? Only about a week ago, this was not a thing. Xavier had not been so adamant about making her flustered around other people. A week ago, they had just been y/n and Xavier, the two who were seen as an odd pair of friends.
Sure, y/n had figured out about a month ago that she felt just a bit more than friendship for Xavier, but she had kept it to herself. However, there were certain things she let him in on a bit more, such as when she let him see a bit more of her without her facade when they were alone. She found that, unlike people in the past who would use her for the heck of it and make her feel bad, Xavier did the opposite. He let her be who she was and did not care; he did not ask her to change, and he did not make her feel as though she couldn't show her true self without then being betrayed.
And then yesterday, it felt right when he drew her back toward him instead of letting her go when she wanted to, hands on the sides of her face, caressing with such gentleness as if she might break. The way he looked at her was as if there were nothing else in the world, no one else in the world, and no one but her. She was very familiar with that look, all thanks to her parents.
Right then and there, she wanted to just stay forever. Standing close to him and just being able to stare into his green eyes forever. She liked the way her heart fluttered around him; it made her finally feel alive and not just dead on the inside.
It was all just so easy—so, so easy.
y/n took a sip at her tea, continuing to think with the sound of Wednesday writing on her novel. The tapping sounds of her sister's typewriter, not one she annoyed herself mixed with some light music coming from Enid's side. The blond laid on her bed and looked through her phone; all day y/n just sat on her bed with a mug of tea in hand and stared into space.
"Do you still not have an idea of who gave you the necklace?" Endi broke the silence, and y/n actually contemplated telling her friend the truth but then realised how bad an idea it was.
"No."
"Awh man, I really wanna know who gave you it!" Enid sighed and sprawled out on her bed. y/n hummed at her just as there was the sound of a knock.
All three girls turned their heads, even Wednesday, who was currently on her hour of writing, and she was also the first to stand and walk towards the door. She muttered something about how it seemed people always knocked on their door when she was writing.
She went back to staring off into space, not expecting anything specific and thinking it would most likely be Ophilia or Yoko, but oh, how wrong she was.
When Wednesday opened the door, she was met by none other than Xavier Thorpe. She blinked twice as she looked up at him, narrowing her eyes at him. "Is there anything I could help you with?"
"Ehm yeah, is y/n there?" The sound of his voice made y/n furrow her brows and place her tea on the nightstand beside her bed.
"y/n, it's Xavier." With that, the gloomy girl went back to her writing, and soon y/n was the one standing in front of him.
"Hi," y/n couldn't think of anything else to say.
"Hey, could we talk?" With a glance behind her, Xavier could see Enid perk up at his request, and Wednesday turned her head almost like an owl toward them. Both others were looking at him with suspicion. "Somewhere we can be alone, maybe."
With a glance behind her, y/n understood what he meant. "Ehm okay. Yeah, sure." She didn't need to tell her sister and the werewolf she was going; they were both watching, but now they were watching Xavier.
Once she moved and closed the door, out in the hallway, Xavier wasted no time in taking a hold of her hand. It was not as bold a move as the one he pulled the day before, but it was enough to make y/n take a breath and calm her heart a little.
Without saying a word, he began to pull her down the hallway towards a more remote part of the dorm level of Nevermore. The tower stairs up to the attic in one of the towers were somewhere no one ever went. It was a bit away from the dorms, which would give them privacy.
Gnawing at the inside of her cheek, y/n hesitated for a second before she slowly let her hand close around his, seeing him just move his head to look down at their hands and then focus back on navigating his way around.
Finally reaching the stairs up to the tower, he stopped, his back still against y/n who very lightly held onto his hand. Looking around and up to see the tower stretch high above y/n switched which hand was holding Xaviers so she could walk around him and just go up the first step of the stairs.
It made Xavier gaze at her, no longer having the willpower to act all cocky and do or say something to make her flustered. He just wanted to enjoy watching her.
"I don't think there's much I need to say; you're too smart to not have already figured things out." Xavier started off, causing y/n to turn. She was a little taller now that she was on the third step, but not tall enough to not need to look up at him.
"And I thought you had taken me here to kill me." y/n spoke while looking out a window from the tower, seeing the whole schooground.
"You are... unbelievable." Xavier smiled, running a hand through his hair as y/n finally faced him, their eyes meeting.
"I just..." He trailed off, catching sight of the necklace. It was now on full display, as she did not hide it with her uniform, seeing as both of them had long since switched to casual clothing.
He looked down at it, taking it gently up and twirling it around in his hand; for once, it was him who was more flustered than her. For once, it was the way he could feel her look at him that made him flustered and not the other way around.
"I thought it would suit you; it does." He whispered, letting go of the charm on the necklace, looking back into her eyes, and for once, her walls, her facade, were completely down.
Just like the night before, he put his hands on the sides of her face, and even if she was a bit higher now than yesterday, she was still shorter. When she noticed a bit of his hair was falling in his face, she leaned a little extra into one of his hands and brushed his hair away from his face so she could see him better. Her whole insides were full of butterflies, which were flapping hard against her abdomen.
"You don't have much to say, do you?" Xavier chuckled as y/n just looked at him, not saying anything.
"I like it."
"Really?" There was a hint of amusement in his voice, which made her roll her eyes and lean forward, her forehead hitting his chest.
"I will mutilate you in your sleep." She threatened to the fabric of his t-shirt, but that only elicited another chuckle, and she could feel his chest vibrate as she did so.
"No, you won't," Xavier said, lifting her chin to see her face; her hands rested on his waist to keep herself steady.
And there they were, both seeing what they liked the most. He could see her smile, and she could see the look in his eyes that she adored. Without hesitation, Xavier leaned down and finally connected their lips.
Even if the tension between them over the past week had told them both enough about each other's feelings, the kiss was pure bliss, soft and sweet. Xavier could feel her lashes against his skin when her eyes fluttered shut, his heart swelling, and he just couldn't help but smirk into the kiss.
Pulling away to rest their foreheads together, both in need of air, she could feel him stroke his thumb along her cheekbone, just as he had done the day before. Her entire being was flustered once more as Xavier opened his eyes and looked into hers.
"Enid will strangle me to death just by hugging me if she gets to know about this," It was a thought she happened to say out loud, not meant for Xavier to hear.
"Mhm, but if you don't go back, she doesn't have to know till later."

Ms. Thornhill assigned this thing called plant pets were everyone gets to take a plant with them to their dorms. you picked a venus flytrap and named it venus, you kinda fell in love with it. as you were in your dorm, feeding the plant. all you could think about was xavier.
you picked up your phone to see if xavier answered any of your text but he didn't. you started to get worried and frustrated at same time so you decided to get up and go to his dorm. "I'll be back venus." you smiled at the plant, seeing the mouth move a little, then leaving. when you finally made it you knocked on the door. of course it wasn't easy, you had to get past the guards but you had to know what was wrong with xavier. "go away." a raspy, grumbling voice came from inside. "xavier, are you alright. it's me y/n" you layer your ear against the door to see if you can hear anything unusual.
"no just- just leave p-please." his voice was very wobbly. you heard the way his voice sounded and you got really worried. "xavier? are you okay? did you get hurt?" you rambled.
"no I'm not hurt just please leave." you started to feel hurt and confused as to why he wanted you to leave so bad. you can hear his panting through the door. whines and moans are all that can be heard from inside.
you bit the inside of your cheek and spoke, "xavier I'm coming in." when you said that you heard a bunch of protest but you ignored them and opened the door and immediately as the door open he's even worse. his body heats up and his cock gets even harder. you instantly gasped. you saw xavier on the bed, drowning in sweat, with his hand in his pants, insane, his hand pumping his cock at any thought of you. the room was so hot. "oh god d-don't stare at me." he mumbled, fist going up and down, harshly. your thighs clenched together at the sight.
"xavier w-what happened?" you said as you face got hot. "the damn plant- god I need more." he grits, as his hand gripped his cock but it wasn't enough. your eyes scanned the room to come across a bright red-ish pink-ish plant.
you began to walk over to the plant before xavier immediately stops you. "no don't approach it." he whined as he keeps tugging on his cock.
you would be lying if you didn't think xavier wasn't attractive though.
"fuck y/n you gotta leave, I don't think I can really -shit- control myself around you." he pants out, eyes closed and head thrown back as he thinks about you. no you weren't going to leave in fact you wanted to help him. you knew the only cure from the plant was sex and you were willing to help him, anything to get him out of his state.
"no xavier, I'm going to help you." you respond as you inch closer to him. he groans as you get closer, even the slightest movement from you will make him hotter.
"okay but I won't be able to hold back." he whines as his excitement increases.
"use me xavier thorpe." your words made him groan as his breathing got heavier. he quickly moves his lips to yours, bringing you in the bed, on top of him before moving his hands to your ass, grabbing handfuls of it before slapping his hands down on it, you squeal at the movement.
he pulls away and stands up to began pulling your shorts down; groaning at the sight of your bare cunt that was already so wet and sloppy from everything. "holy shit." he says, cock throbbing from the sight. he pulls his sweats down, revealing his cock to you. "okay with this, princess?" he says breaking heavily, waiting for your response.
"yes just please continue." you whined. he smirks as he strokes his cock moving to position himself in front of your cunt. he folds you legs on you chest before he taps the head of his cock against your clit before moving to your hole and pushing in. you moan at the stretch, clawing at the sheets. "holy shit." he moaned, breathlessly.
"need you to be good and take this dick, shiiiit" he moans out as he moves one of his hands down to rub at your clit. he feels you flutter around him as he bottoms out causing you to squeal. "oh fuck." you cried out.
"fuck- you're such a little slut, I've seen the way you look at me, you know we're not fucking. friends." he groans out as he pounds into you at the last of his sentence, fucking you dumb.
"fuck yeah baby girl needed this fucking cunt" he moans out as he pounds into you. the quiet of the dorm drowned out by the squelch of your tight cunt as he thrust into it, your slick leaking from your cunt making his dick shine in the light as he pulls out of you.
"hear how fucking soaked you are baby?" he mocks as you hear the sound of your moans and the wet pats of his hips slamming into yours. your legs started to burn as your hips buck away from it.
"nuh uh be good and take this dick" he grunts as he grabs your leg pulling you back towards him as he continues to wreck you. he's hand finds it's way to your throat, squeezing slightly whilst the other one rubs circles into you clit.
"fuck! m'gonna cum please fuck, s'too good" you babble out as tears soak your vision. he laughs at you before leaning down over you.
he kisses your cheek trying to soothe you. "you better fucking hold it " he grits as he removes his hand from your clit. this causes a sob to leave your throat as he continues his excruciating thrusts.
"you cum when I cum." he commanded. your eyes began to roll in the back of your head as he continued his brutal thrust on you g-spot. xavier's body began to tense as he began to rub your clit again making you shake.
"fuck- baby cum on this dick" he moans, and as soon as he finishes his sentence you cum with a throaty moan. your pussy gushes as you squirt on him; soaking him and his dick.
at the sight he moans out before pulling out with ropes of cum gushing on the skin of your stomach and chest. he finally feels relieved.
after a few seconds you two finally calmed down. "thanks for helping me." he thanked. you nodded in response still a little lightheaded from what happened. "so this definitely ruined our friendship but I've liked you for a while now anyways." he shrugged, wiping some sweat from his forehead.
"yeah me too." you replied, wiping some cum from your stomach. "we have to get rid of that plant." you added with xavier nodding in agreement

summary: you and xavier had been best friends since you were 7, and nothing could change that - that is until you start to develop a new power that makes you question everything you think (or rather, what everyone else thinks)
═══ -ˋˏ *.·:·.⟐.·:·.* ˎˊ- ═══
Normies usually strayed away from adopting outcast kids. They just didn’t know how to appropriately handle their slightly more complex needs.
Unfortunately for your adopted mothers, the realisation that you, their child, possessed psychic abilities hit at around the 5-year mark when they walked into your nursery and discovered that all of your bears were floating around the room, performing beautiful and elaborate ariel tricks. At first, they jumped to the conclusion that they were being haunted. In some ways, they wished that were the case. Ghosts could be exorcised, but a child who could undo a childproof lock (or five) to get into the cabinet where the candy was kept within mere seconds wasn’t easily fixed with a call to the local priest.
So, as soon as they could, they would ship you off to outcast summer camps and school programs. It's not that they didn’t love you; they just didn’t know how to help you manoeuvre your powers.
Naturally, you resented this for a lot of your childhood. You couldn’t understand why your adopted siblings got all the time with your moms while you were sent away. Fortunately, as you matured, you grew to understand it and accept that what they were doing was for your benefit as much as theirs. Your moms were doing this to help you learn more about your powers from others who shared them, not punish you for having them.
Of course, understanding and accepting the decisions didn’t exactly make the feeling of abandonment go away, but it was enough to subdue and push it down for some therapist in 20 years to pull out and deal with.
There were some plus sides to being sent away so often, one of which being the best friend you had made on day one of the very first outcast summer camp you had been sent to when you were 7 years old.
You and Xavier Thorpe got along like a log cabin on fire, which is coincidentally what almost got the pair of you kicked out of that summer camp on your first week.
Xavier was sent away by his father while he was on tour. Touring the world would be far too stressful for a child; at least, that was the excuse that was given whenever anyone questioned where Xavier was.
Both of you being sent to Nevermore Academy was inevitable. Under the promise of not burning it down, together, you had fixed up the old shed so Xavier could use it as an art studio. You had occupied one of the corners where the two of you had set up a desk where you could work on your writing.
Together, you spent most of your free time tucked away like that, talking about anything and everything as you individually let your artistic creativity fill your individual pages. You would only stop talking when you demanded silence so you could focus, which would last about 10 minutes before the two of you got distracted and started talking about something else.
You were about 6 minutes into one of these silent periods when Xavier slowly stepped back from his canvas and inched towards your corner. Engrossed in your work, you didn’t notice he was in front of you until he spoke up.
“You’ve got some paint on your nose,” He pointed out. You closed your laptop instinctively; you had never liked sharing your writing with anyone, not even Xavier.
You looked up at him in confusion as you hadn’t touched any of the paint scattered around the studio that day. “Really?” You asked, crossing your eyes to try and look at your nose. “Are you sure? I don’t feel-” You were cut off by Xavier swiping his thumb over your nose and smearing some paint on it.
“Yeah, I’m sure,” He laughed, trying to step back as you made a grab for his arm. You just about caught his sleeve and used it as leverage to pull him down and wipe your nose clean with it.
“You are such an ass!” You groaned, trying to hide the laughter that threatened to bubble up. It was the third time that week he’d gotten you with that trick.
“Speaking of ass,” Xavier grabbed his own chair to sit opposite you at your desk.
“I have a great one?” You grinned, trying to use a tissue to wipe the remaining paint residue from your face. “Thank you, I know!” You froze when you could have sworn you had heard Xavier respond with a quiet ‘true’ but shook it off as your mind playing tricks as you hadn’t actually seen his lips move.
“That is not what I was going to say,” Xavier playfully rolled his eyes. “Speaking of ass, have you done Mr Cooper’s homework?”
“Are you suggesting Mr Cooper is an ass, or that he has a great ass? I mean, I’ve never looked myself, but I respect the-” You yelped out as your leg received a kick from under the desk. You pouted dramatically as he shook his head at you, but you cast your mind back to your chemistry class the day before. You hadn’t been paying much attention as it was the final class on a Friday, and you were just excited to sleep past 6am the following day. “Did he assign homework?”
“I’ll take that as a no; you haven’t done it,” Xavier grabbed his rucksack, which you had been using as a footrest. “Though I already knew that because I picked up your sheet when you left it on the desk.” He pulled the worksheet out and waved it in front of your face.
“This is such bullshit!” You groaned as you plucked it from his grip and scanned the questions. “He never assigns homework!”
“I think the words you’re looking for are ‘Thank you, Xavier! You are such a good friend!’” Xavier teased, doing his best impression of you… His best was awful.
“A good friend would have just done the assignment for me,” You sighed dramatically, putting the sheet down on the desk and pushing it back towards him.
“You mean the way I do half of your other assignments for you?” He pointed out. You had mastered one another's handwriting years ago and often took turns in doing one another’s assignments depending on who was better at the subject or who could bribe the other better.
“Yeah, half of them!” You fired back. “That only makes you half of a good friend, an okay friend, if you will!” Your friendship was built on this sort of playful teasing.
“Well, as an okay friend, do you want to work on this together after dinner?” He asked, checking the time on his phone. “Which started like 5 minutes ago.”
“Shit!” You exclaimed, shooting up from your chair and shoving your laptop in your bag. “Come on! Get your butt in gear, or all the good food will be gone!” You frantically urged, walking around the desk to tug at Xavier’s arm to get him up and going.
“I’m coming!” He laughed back, getting up intentionally slowly. “Just give me a minute or two to pack up all my stuff. Save me a tray!” With a distressed groan that echoed through the shed, you let go of his arm and walked off, mumbling something along the lines of ‘snooze, you lose’ as you went. Xavier laughed and checked the time again one last time before he stuffed his phone back in his pocket, knowing that dinner wouldn’t actually be ready for another hour and preparing for the hellfire that you would rain down on him when you realised he’d tricked you again.
═══ -ˋˏ *.·:·.⟐.·:·.* ˎˊ- ═══
Studying sucked. That was something you had acknowledged a long time ago. But studying while you had a bad case of hiccups was so much worse. Especially when the hiccups caused your powers to go absolutely wild; with each hiccup, the pen you were holding flew out of your hand and launched itself to a new corner of the room.
At first, Xavier thought it was an elaborate plot to get him to do your work again as revenge for the dinner incident. However, when your pen launched out of your hand and stabbed the door, he realised you weren’t joking around.
With a grunt of frustration, you got up to retrieve the pen once again, mumbling a ‘sorry’ to the door as you pulled it out from the wood.
“What did that poor door ever do to you to deserve such a vicious stabbing?” Xavier joked, trying to lighten up your tense mood.
“Don’t tell me you forgot about the time it smacked me on the ass on the way out!” You gave the door an accusatory glare. “Which it still hasn’t apologised for.”
“How could I forget?” He groaned, recalling the situation in great detail. He’d talked himself into a corner when he’d tried to defend the door by saying that your ass just got in the way and then couldn’t figure out if it would be more offensive to say that your butt was big or backtrack and say that it wasn’t big at all. In the end, he realised he was losing that conversation no matter what he said and just accepted the consequences. “You know, that is the second conversation today that has ended up on your ass.”
You couldn’t contain the laughter at the phrasing, which caused your hiccups to match the energy, and the pen flew from your hand and into the ceiling.
“Oooookay! I think that’s enough pen time for you, or I’m going to be accused of practising archery in my room again,” Xavier laughed nervously as you, still in fits of giggles, stumbled back over to the spare bed in his room that you had basically taken over as your own. It had your favourite blanket draped over it and some of your pillows from home.
“Your hiccups are just like you,” Xavier pointed out, jumping up to get the pen out of the ceiling before it caused any structural damage. He was tall, so it didn’t take much to reach it.
“Oh yeah?” You asked, your laughter finally starting to calm down. “How's that?”
“Violent and cute,” He shook his head with a smile, but you just froze, unsure if you had heard him right.
“What was that?” You asked.
“Violent,” He repeated, dropping the pen onto his desk.
“No, no,” You shook your head, questioning your own sanity a little. He didn’t have that teasing tone in his voice he usually did. “The second thing.”
“I only said one thing?” He looked at you in confusion. “Are you feeling okay?” As if on queue, you hiccuped again, and a pillow went flying across the room, narrowly avoiding hitting him in the face.
“Never better,” You mumbled, laying back on the bed. You really could have sworn you had heard him say that the hiccups and you, by extension, were cute. It was quieter than he usually spoke, but you could have sworn it in his voice.
Even though you joked around a lot, he wouldn’t lie to you about saying or not saying something if you asked. So maybe it had just been in your head? It was a weird thing for your head to make up.
“Are you staying here again tonight?” Xavier asked, snapping you out of your spiralling thoughts. “We can watch a movie and finish off those cookies from last night?”
“I hate to be the bearer of bad news,” You smiled sheepishly, glancing over at the trash can by his desk to see the empty packet still there, evidence of your crime. “But I ate the rest of those cookies while you were asleep last night.”
“I know. I woke up and saw you at the end of my bed, hunched over like a little gremlin, shoving them into your mouth three at a time. I thought you were a sleep paralysis demon for a good few seconds. I wanted to record it, but you were like a wild animal, and I didn’t want to startle you by grabbing my phone,” A second pillow flew across the room and hit him in the face that time. Unlike the last, this one was intentionally flung at him. Laughing, he paid no mind to it and reached over the side of his bed and pulled something out from underneath. “I bought two packs and hid one from you- wait, are these open?”
“I may or may not have found those ones while you were in the shower,” You got up and flopped down onto his bed next to him, grabbing both of your pillows to lean on. “I didn’t eat them all, though! I won’t lie; I would have, but you came back before I could.” Rolling his eyes, Xavier reached under his pillow and pulled something else out.
“I bought the third pack,” He admitted, placing them down on the bed in between the two of you. “Hey, your hiccups are gone!” You were about to cheer when another hiccup bubbled up out of nowhere, sending the open pack of cookies flying everywhere.
“Well….” You looked around at the crumbs that scattered the once relatively clean room. “Shit.”
═══ -ˋˏ *.·:·.⟐.·:·.* ˎˊ- ═══
You woke up groggily to your name being called out in a hushed whisper. When you opened your eyes, you realised it was still nighttime. Yawning, you pushed off the sheets you had been sleeping under and made your way over to Xavier’s bed.
It was a routine you knew all too well by that point. Part of you questioned why you even bothered sleeping in the spare bed in the first place. Almost every time you would sleep over in his room, you would fall asleep in the spare bed only to be woken up by Xavier after a couple of hours, usually because he’d had a nightmare. He didn’t ever want to talk about it, and you didn’t ask. He’d tell you about them when they were really bad, but he preferred to sketch them out.
Xavier was holding the covers up, and you crawled under them, bringing your arms to your chest using his arm as a pillow. He brought the covers down again over you both, and you closed your tired eyes once again.
That was how you usually slept in the same bed. You didn’t usually ‘cuddle’ when you slept like this. Your arms and legs always kept to themselves, with the exclusion of Xavier’s left arm, which you usually used as a pillow. However, this time, Xavier brought his spare arm over you and held you close to him. Instinctively, you moved one of your arms to wrap around him in return. It was a wordless sign to say that you were okay with this. You could have sworn you had heard a hum of contentment from him, but you passed it off as the start of a snore. Xavier always fell asleep fast, and his light snoring was comforting.
You chalked the change in behaviour up to a particularly bad dream and decided that you wouldn’t bring it up in the morning. Instead, you would just enjoy the added warmth for the night.
═══ -ˋˏ *.·:·.⟐.·:·.* ˎˊ- ═══
“Enid, my sweet, your tag is sticking out,” You jogged ahead to catch up with Enid’s impossibly fast walking. “C’mere!” Enid stopped and took a step back so you could tuck the tag of her sweater back in.
“Thank you!” She cheered and held her arm out. “Walk and talk?” With a laugh, you linked arms with Enid and started walking together. “I’m so glad you’re here because I was supposed to be shopping with Yoko, but then Divina showed up, and I was totally third wheeling, so I left them to it.”
“Are they actually dating yet, or are they both too scared to make the first move?” You asked, causing Enid to laugh.
“They’re still dodging around the question,” She sighed playfully. “Reminds me of you and Xavier.”
“What?” You stopped, pulling Enid to a halt with you.
“I said they’re still dodging around the question,” She repeated.
“No, no,” You shook your head. “The other thing you said!”
“That was all I said?” Enid looked ask confused as you felt inside. “Are you feeling okay?” Instead of pushing things and questioning them further, you took a deep breath and shook it off. Enid was a terrible liar. You had probably just mistaken the wind for words or something.
“I’m fine. Everything is fine,” You smiled and shrugged. Together, you continued to walk.
“Did you have a fight with Xavier or something?” Enid asked. Glancing at her from the corner of your eye, you shook your head with a frown, wondering how she’d come to that conclusion. “He was pouting at breakfast today, and you’re here without him.” Realisation dawned on you, and you laughed.
“He wasn’t pouting!- No, actually, that’s a lie. He was pouting a little bit, but only because he felt sorry for himself,” You explained. “I mistook him for my alarm clock this morning and tried to hit the snooze button, which in this case happened to be his mouth, and now his lip is a bit swollen. I’m here to get an apology gift and some numbing gel.” You reached into your pocket and pulled out the numbing gel you had just picked up from the pharmacy and a bar of chocolate. You had technically bought 3 bars of chocolate, but you had already given in and eaten 2 of them, and the last one was on thin ice.
“How did he get into your room?” Enid asked. “If I remember correctly, which I know I do, your windows have enchanted locks on because he kept sneaking into your room last term.”
You snorted as you remembered how many times Xavier’s tall figure had been caught trying to climb through your window. Or, more accurately, how many times he had gotten stuck trying to climb through your window, and you had to call for help to get him unstuck.
“I was in his room,” You explained with a shrug. “He’s got a spare bed, and I love Yoko, but goddamn, does the girl snore like a chainsaw. Plus, she wakes up at 6am every morning and starts playing her ‘meditation’ music. I usually stay with him on the weekends because it's the only decent sleep I get! I swear I’ve told you all of this before?”
“The Yoko part you have definitely complained about to me on multiple occasions,” Enid confirmed. “But how am I only just learning that you have weekly sleepovers with your ‘best friend’.” She used her free hand to put air quotes around the last two words.
“Why are you saying it like that?” You asked. “He is my best friend? You know I love you, Wednesday, and Thing, but Xavier and I have been ride or die since we were seven. He earnt the best friend title way before I knew any of you.”
“Just admit you both like one another,” Enid groaned, causing you to stop walking again, halting her.
“What are you on about?” You interrogated. “We like one another as friends.”
“I said nothing!” Enid protested, her face easily portraying the confusion she felt. You were about to protest again, but Enid spoke before she could. “No, Y/N, I literally said nothing! Whatever you think you heard, it wasn’t me! Maybe your mind is telling you what you want it to hear?”
“Absolutely not! I heard you! It was your voice!” Your phone started ringing before the conversation could progress any further. You didn’t have to check the contact before answering it. You had set a personalised ringtone for him. “Xavi, I’m on my way back now, I swear! I have the gel and a-” You stopped yourself before you mentioned the chocolate. Truthfully, you knew it would never even get back to Nevermore. “I have the gel!” You repeated.
“I will start this movie without you and then spoil all of it,” He threatened playfully.
“Don’t you dare!” You gasped, but he’d already hung up. When you looked back up at Enid, expecting to continue the conversation you had been having, you recognised the look on her face as her signature ‘I’m telling everyone’ smile. “What?”
“Xavi?” She teased. “Really?” “Drop it, and I’ll split the chocolate with you,” You bargained, pulling the sweet snack out of your pocket again and waving it around. Enid simply responded by holding her arm out so you could carry on walking together and her other hand ready to receive her share of chocolate.
═══ -ˋˏ *.·:·.⟐.·:·.* ˎˊ- ═══
“This show has gone to shit,” You groaned, sinking down into the sheets in disappointment.
“What?” Xavier pulled his head away from the screen to watch your movements instead. “You used to love it. It was all you’d talk about.”
“I did love it!” You agreed with a sigh. “But then they had to add all that forced romance in, and there are like 7 different love triangles that all interlock- it’s a pyramid scheme of love!”
“A pyramid scheme of love?” He laughed at your phrasing. “God, could you imagine the dm’s you’d get from people you’ve only spoken to once who had joined that?”
“Hey, girlboss! Long time no speak!” You put on your best bubbly voice as you spoke, replicating one of your moms’ friends who had been pulled into 8 different pyramid schemes. “Are you tired of settling down the old-fashioned way with one person? I was too! But insert a name of a multi-level marketing scheme here helped me take control of my love life!”
“Please never do that voice again,” Xavier pleaded through laughter.
“I think I gave myself a headache doing that,” You snorted, bringing your hand up to your head. It was a fruitless endeavour as you pulled them away again immediately. “Urgh, my hands are too warm. C’mere, you always have cold hands.” You grabbed one of his hands and held it up to your forehead, leaning against it.
“I always have cold hands?” Despite his verbal confusion, he didn’t protest about you using him as a cold pack. “Is that… a good thing?”
“On this occasion, yes,” You smiled contently, closing your eyes. “During the colder months, not so much.”
“If we held hands more, it would warm them up,” You almost didn’t catch his words.
“You wanna hold hands more?” You asked, confused. Admittedly, you already held hands probably more than most friends did, but that was because you had a tendency to get lost in crowds. It was hand-holding, or one of those leash backpacks parents used on their kids, but Xavier shut that down as soon as you jokingly suggested it.
“How did you-?” Xavier pulled his hand away from you with a frown. You pouted at the lack of contact and opened your eyes again. He paused to look at you, searching for an answer in your eyes, but he gave up as soon as he’d started and just shook his head. “Sorry, I didn’t think I said that out loud.”
“We can hold hands more,” You shrugged, smiling at him. “Come on, let's try and get a couple more episodes of this nauseating shitfest in before I have to go back to my own room.”
Xavier perked up at that, leaning over to press play on the next episode.
“I’m calling it now; there will be an unexpected kiss by the end of this episode,” You sighed, leaning your head on Xavier’s shoulder as your eyes settled back on the screen.
“If we’re placing bets, it’ll be between those two,” He added, pointing at the pairing on the screen. You really could have sworn you had heard him say ‘between us?’ just before the actual words left his lips. But you knew for a fact this time that he hadn’t, as the words slightly overlapped, and, as far as you knew, Xavier wasn’t secretly a talented ventriloquist. Though you supposed if you did know that, it wouldn’t be a secret.
Instead, you brushed it off as your tired mind playing tricks on you. Weird tricks for a weird mind.
═══ -ˋˏ *.·:·.⟐.·:·.* ˎˊ- ═══
Four more days.
That’s how long it took you to realise what was going on. Or rather, what you thought was going on. You had to test your theory out, and you knew the perfect person to help.
“Enter,” Wednesday’s voice instructed before you even had a chance to knock on her door. Without questioning how she’d know you were there, you opened the door and closed it behind you once you were in Wednesday’s shared room with Enid.
“I need your help testing a theory,” You pleaded, leaning against the door. “I feel like I’m going crazy- and not the good kind.”
“There’s a bad kind?” Wednesday’s tone barely changed, but you knew her well enough to know she was teasing you in her own way. “I’m intrigued; go on.”
“I think I can read minds,” You confessed with a groan. “Not all the time; I think I can only do it if I’m purposely seeking them out or if the thoughts are… loud.”
“I imagine there are some people who have very loud thoughts,” Wednesday glanced over at Enid’s side of the room.
“Exactly!” You nodded. “And I wanted to test with you because I know I won’t just be reading your body language and facial expressions for clues.”
“What number am I thinking now?” Wednesday asked, turning her head away from you to look at her desk. Closing your eyes, you tried to push for the connection that you had felt when you accidentally used this possible new power on Ajax just a few minutes beforehand. He had been moping around, and you wanted to know why. It turns out he’d stoned himself again and had missed all of his morning classes, and subsequently got in trouble for being ‘careless’. He was banned from visiting Jericho for two weeks.
When you had sympathised with his struggles and offered to buy him some snacks when you next visited Jericho, he’d looked at you like you had grown a second head which had started speaking Latin. He asked how you had known he was banned. After some confusion and back and forth, you made up some lie about overhearing one of the teachers say something about it and excused yourself.
“37,” You announced confidently to Wednesday as soon as you had felt the connection be made and heard your friend’s monotone voice. It seemed fitting that even her internal monologue was as dry as she was when speaking. “Which US state am I thinking of?”
“Trick question,” You answered proudly. “You’re thinking about Poland, which, unless I missed a memo, isn’t a US state.”
“Very good,” Wednesday didn’t seem the slightest bit surprised that you had gotten it right. “Final one, what line from which of Edgar Allan Poe’s works am I thinking of?” She asked.
“But evil things, in robes of sorrow, assailed the monarch's high estate,” You echoed the exact line out loud. “From The Haunted Palace.”
“I think that settles it,” Wednesday confirmed. You opened your eyes to see her turning around to face you again. “Considering I didn’t say a single word out loud throughout that. Not even the questions.” Wednesday’s mouth was pressed firmly closed, though you could still hear her perfectly clearly.
With a small gasp, you intentionally severed the connection and stopped reading her mind.
“Okay, you can think freely again,” You informed Wednesday. “Thank you for helping me test that.” The door you were leaning on was suddenly pulled open, and you only just managed to catch your footing before you had the chance to fall into Enid.
“Y/N!” Enid instinctively held out her arms, just in case you did still fall. “Why are you here? Are you planning a surprise birthday party for me?”
“Enid, your birthday isn’t for another 9 months,” You shook your head with a smile. “Why would we be planning a surprise party now?”
“Because if you do it too close to the time, I would get suspicious when you were sneaking around making arrangements! But if you start now, by the time I’m thinking of it, the party will have been fully planned!” Enid explained cheerily. “I didn’t realise I’d said the party thing out loud? I hope I didn’t ruin the surprise!”
“You didn’t say it out loud,” Wednesday told her. “Y/N can read minds.”
“That’s why you were being weird with Ajax!” Enid immediately pulled out her phone, but you grabbed it out of her hands. “Hey!”
“Please, please, please don’t say anything to anyone yet!” You pleaded. “I need to talk to people first. I need to talk to the teachers. I don’t want people to think I’m going around snooping in on all of their thoughts. That’s not how it works.”
“How exactly does it work?” Enid asked as you wearily handed her back her phone. You didn’t entirely trust Enid not to at least tell Ajax… and then Yoko… and Divina since she would ‘just hear it anyway’ from Yoko…
“I mean, I don’t know exactly how it works, but from what has happened so far, I need to be talking to someone and wanting to know what they’re thinking. So when I spoke to Ajax earlier, I wanted to know why he was upset, and I guess I accidentally made that brain connection thing happen without realising what it was,” You explained, trying to properly make sense of it yourself and using actual words to describe what happened. “And sometimes people just have one-off loud thoughts that I hear? Some more than others….” Realisation dawned on Enid when she heard the last sentence.
“Well, I’m sorry if my thoughts are too ‘loud’ for you,” She huffed, using air quotes around the word ‘loud’. “I can’t control the volume of my own mind.”
“I know. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it that way,” You apologised. “But I can’t control what I hear either, at least not yet.”
“Has Xavier thought loudly about how in love with you he is yet?” Enid asked.
“Xavier isn’t in love with me….” You protested but trailed off as you recalled some of the things that you had thought you had heard Xavier say over the past week, only to now realise that some of them may have been thoughts.
“Oops, did I think that one too loudly as well?” Enid smiled slyly, pointing at you. “Wednesday, look at her face. I asked if she’d overheard Xavier thinking about how in love with her he is.”
“I gathered that,” Wednesday mumbled, wanting nothing to do with the whole ‘love’ ordeal.
You remembered the other night when you had talked about there being an unexpected kiss, and you thought he’d said ‘between us?’ over the words he actually did say. It had been a few nights, and you couldn’t remember the tone he’d said- or rather, thought it in. Was he confused? Hopeful? You raked through your brain but couldn’t remember any of the details for the life of you.
And the comment about hand-holding? That was just in a friendly way, friendly hand-holding. You had held hands as friends before, multiple times, you were usually the one to initiate it, and it wasn’t like you were in love with him. You weren’t in love with him at all, right?
Right?
Shit.
Shit. Shit. Shit.
You were. You absolutely were. Whether intentionally or not, you had never allowed yourself to think about it, always pushed the thoughts and feelings down before anything could become of them. Always pulled the weeds up, leaving the roots, not realising the roots were just growing and growing under the surface until one day, your whole garden was full of weeds. Except instead of weeds, they were possible unrequited feelings towards your best friend that threatened to ruin everything you had built up over the years you had known one another.
“I need to go,” You excused yourself and pushed past Enid to get to the door, ignoring whatever she was saying in the process. It would have been some sing-song ‘I told you so’, but your mind was too cluttered to pay attention.
You had to find Xavier and talk to him as soon as possible.
It hadn’t taken long to find him. You knew where he’d be. You always knew where he’d be.
You didn’t knock before letting yourself into the shed; you never had to. It was your shared space.
“Y/N! Are you okay?” Xavier looked at you in concern as you sunk against the door as you closed it behind you. “You look-”
“Xavi, I need you to please be quiet and let me talk at you for a bit because I need to say something now before I mess up the words in my head,” You interrupted him before he could finish. With a small nod, he had agreed. His mouth remained shut while you pulled away from the door and paced back and forth. “I’m just going to cut right to the chase here. I have somehow picked up the power to read minds. I hadn’t done it on purpose until like five minutes ago when Wednesday let me test it on her, and then I came straight to you because you have the right to know because you’re my best friend, and we talk all the time, and sometimes I accidentally hear people’s random thoughts because some thoughts are just really loud and some people have a lot of loud thoughts, like Enid, so I just hear them more, and I’m not saying that you have loud thoughts like that, but I think that maybe sometimes you do, which isn’t a bad thing but I wanted you to be aware so-” You had rambled so much that you hadn’t even noticed that Xavier had crossed the room until he had stopped your frantic pacing and held your face in his hands, squishing your cheeks together in what you assumed was a successful attempt and politely shutting you up.
“Deep breaths and calm down, yeah?” He said it so softly that it worked almost instantly. You hadn’t realised quite how fast your heart had been beating and how heavy your breath had become until he’d stopped and helped slow it down.
You weren’t sure what exactly had caused it, whether it was the fast-talking where one word flew into the next, or the flood of emotions that had hit you, or the fear of how he’d react to it all in the end, or just a mixture of it all. No matter what it was, Xavier had successfully calmed you down.
“Dare I ask which of my thoughts were particularly… loud?” Xavier asked, his hands still cradling your face.
“There were only a few?” You replied uneasily. You thought back, trying to differentiate between everything. It was hard when she didn’t realise what they were when they happened. “There was the… hand holding? I think that was one… and, uh…. you called me violent and… cute?”
“Could be worse!” Xavier breathed a sigh of relief. “Could have accidentally admitted I’m in love with you.” One look at your face was all it took for him to realise what he’d done. You stood there, wide eyes staring at one another, each almost daring the other to make a move.
Xavier broke first.
“That was a loud thought, wasn’t it?” He asked, already knowing the answer.
“It sure was,” You whispered, your hands coming up to take his own away from your face. Dejection crossed his face for a split second but was erased immediately when you just held his hands instead, cradling them against your chest. You broke eye contact, deciding that looking at the ground made talking easier because you didn’t have to worry about analysing every change in his expression to find the answers.
“Was it…. Truthful? Or did you think it jokingly?” You ask hesitantly, worried about the response it would elicit. Truly, you didn’t know if your heart could take it being a joke.
If the lack of response had worried you, when he pulled his hands away it all but shattered you. However, as soon as the pieces of you had been shattered, it was like Xavier scooped them all up again when he reached for your face and pulled you into a kiss.
It wasn’t a soft and gentle kiss. It was clumsy, frantic, and full of emotion and confusion. It wasn’t perfect, but it didn’t have to be, because it was with him.
You returned the kiss as soon as your brain allowed itself to switch back on and be present in the moment. Your arms wrapped around the back of his neck, holding him to you as though you were worried he would change his mind and back away again.
It was over all too soon for your liking, the two of you having no choice but to pull away to gasp in the air again. Xavier’s head ducked down, and he nestled his face into your neck. His breath tickled you as he spoke.
“It scares me how truthful it was,” He admitted, planting a small kiss on your collarbone. “I think I’ve known it for a while, but I didn’t want to risk you not feeling the same way.” He pulled away very suddenly to look at your face again. “Wait, you do feel the same way, right?”
You answered him this time by initiating the kiss yourself. This one was slower, the raw emotions you had both been feeling now having settled as a pleasant buzz in the air as the reality of the situation became clear.
You were two idiot best friends who had been in love with one another for longer than either of you could fathom.
You had always known you’d spend the future together, but now, you could spend your future together.
A/N - so I set out to write what I assumed would be a 2k-ish one-shot... then I think I blacked out and woke up foaming at the mouth 6k words later... if there are any accidental pov/tense changes, please let me know! I wrote this in third person, then decided I wanted it to be second person 5k words in so I went back and edited the whole thing which was a pain in the ass and I had to stop myself from rewriting it a third time in first person
feel free to suggest some more one-shots! I can't promise I'll get to them all, but watching Wednesday has filled me with inspiration and motivation to write! *cough cough* I'd be a sucker for a bianca x reader request *cough cough*
and lemme know if you'd like to be added to a taglist for future wednesday one shots <3

you found comfort in walking out to the woods, clearing your heads and smoking to your hearts content. tyler knew a guy, who knew a guy, that you got your bud from during trips to jericho.
you found comfort in walking out to the woods, clearing your heads and smoking to your hearts content. tyler knew a guy, who knew a guy, that you got your bud from during trips to jericho.
the two of you would always sit and talk and laugh for hours on end, comfortable around each other. only leaving for snacks or to go and watch a movie in his single room. you figured, you were already sneaking around smoking weed on campus, you might as well push it a little farther and sneak into the boys dorm.
so that’s how the two of you ended up, giggling in the woods, poking each other and running back to the dorms until you were out of breath.
his room was comforting to you. the smell of him taking inhabitance there, paintings he’s made littering the walls. you stood admiring them in a trance, thinking about what he was wearing as he made them. what was going through his head? what inspired them? did you ever inspire his paintings?
“psst,” you heard from behind you. “psst, y/n.”
you turned around, xavier with red, glassy eyes, and a lopsided grin on his face standing behind you.
“yeah?” you whispered in response, already forgetting that last thought in your head.
“what are you thinking about?” he whispered back.
you paused, thought hard for a second, and just started at him.
“what?” you replied, lowly.
he burst into a fit of laughter, lightly smacking your arm.
“why are you whispering?” he asked.
you laughed at him.
“you started it!” you jeered, jabbing at him.
looking up at him, you noticed the pretty features of his face. he stared back at you through curious, watery eyes. you two were nearly touching. and it’s not like you’ve never been this close, you’re always together, always near each other. you wondered what it would be like to touch the plush of his lips. pink and slightly chapped, waiting to be kissed, you thought.
the room was far too quiet and something different developed in the way he looked at you. it’s not like you’d never thought about it. kissing him, touching him. he was attractive, your type honestly. nothing the two of you did was weird or awkward. it was just the two of you.
so when you reached for his face and told him to kiss you, you had no doubt in your mind.
kissing xavier was a breath of fresh air. regardless of the fact that he smelled heavily of weed, it was light, airy, sweet almost. he kissed you in a way you knew was reserved for only you, like he wouldn’t dare kiss anyone else like this. his lips were softer than they looked, closing over yours repeatedly.
he hummed a little bit, his hand snaking up the back of your neck and settling at the roots of your hair. you felt him smile, and honest to god it gave you butterflies.
your head was still foggy and you kissed nearly in slow motion. there was a glaze of insobriety coating your senses, yet you were hyperaware of the way he touched you so tenderly.
he pulled away, very slightly so you could still feel his lips against yours as he spoke.
“we’re kissing.” he said softly.
“yes, we are.” you answered, a little unsure if that was the right response.
“i’ve wanted to kiss you, you know.”
“me too.”
“okay,” he hummed.
“okay.”
and so he kissed you again, deeper this time. he took initiative, running his tongue along the seams of your mouths, only licking in once you sighed in appreciation. it was dizzying honestly, not just because you were high. he was just everything. everywhere. his smell invaded your nose, musky but somehow sweet. his hands ran down the side of your body, landing on your hips and holding you upright. your mind was lit alive with the sensation of him, but your body wasn’t getting the memo because all you seemed to be able to do was slump into him.
he noticed this, tugging you toward his bed. he pressed you down gently, kneeling forward with his knee between your thighs. just that little bit of information, just knowing how close he was to your center sent you for a bit of a loop. you whimpered unintentionally, and you felt him react to it. the little smirk on his lips as he kept kissing you. you were warm, hot, definitely bright red, and definitely wishing he would touch you where you needed.
the haze you were in had you following his lead, but you wanted to show him what direction you wanted, needed, this to go in. lightly, you tugged on his bottom lip with your teeth, laving over it directly after. he pulled away to look at you and he was flushed, an almost shy, but lovely look on his face. you stared up at him, doe eyes and all, begging silently for something.
xavier looked down between the two of you and it was only then that you noticed that even though you were fully laying on his bed, his hips were slightly hovered off of you. you noticed the tent in his sweatpants, and you realized he also needed you.
sweet, sweet xavier. taking things slow, unsure, not wanting to push you into any territory you were uncomfortable with.
“xav,” you started. “i want you, you know that right?”
turns out it was possible for him to blush even deeper. but now he had this look in his eyes, glazed over with desire.
you kicked up your hips to press against his and he hissed when you made contact with hardness. the sound made your gut turn, needy for him to put his whole weight on you.
“good,” he finally responded. “i want you too. so bad y/n.”
you kissed him fiercely, the weight of his hips finally pressing down into you. suddenly you couldn’t get close enough, hands roaming every inch of each other, nearly swallowing each other whole. the sound of your breaths occupied the room, airy and strained and so so needy.
his hand crawled up the hem of your shirt, gripping the skin at your waist. he rolled his hips down into yours, finally releasing some of the built up tension. you sighed, needing it over and over, again and again, as much as he would give it to you. your hands threaded through his hair, tugging lightly and he rolled his hips again, but this made him moan.
really moan.
christ, it was sinful. the way his voice had sounded so wrecked just from pulling on his hair. you knew you were done for, and you craved it so badly.
“please, xav.” you breathed, tugging at his shirt. he pulled in off in one fell swoop, immediately returning back down to you. he pressed kisses down your jaw, all the way to your neck. his lips on your skin made you writhe, back arching as he sucked a purplish mark into your flesh. your head was spinning again in the best way possible. every touch he gave you felt heightened and you savored every lasting moment.
his hands traveled farther up your torso, reaching around your back. his hands settled on your bra clasp but he stopped, only unlatching it when you nodded at him with approval. you appreciated his delicacy with you. little check ins here and there, reassuring looks, waiting for consent. he lifted your shirt, bra falling down your arms as the garment went.
being bare in front of him didn’t scare you. you knew that at the end of the day he was your xavier, he was your guy, your trustee. he would never judge you and never shame you.
but they way he looked at you was something you never expected. he was in awe of you, the curve of your breasts, your soft skin, how wholly beautiful you were. you swatted at him, growing embarrassed under his melting gaze.
“sorry, you’re just so...”
“god, you’re so corny.” you laughed.
“well truly, y/n, you’re beautiful.” he said softly, affection lacing his features.
“kiss me again, please.” you managed out, voice barely above a whisper.
so he did, your mouth down to your chest. he slid down your body gracefully, leaving no span of skin untouched. he left marks between your breasts, already blooming purple. he made way to your stomach, teasing you as you writhed, him so unbearably close to your wetness that you could do nothing but silently beg.
you nodded fiercely when his finger slipped under the waistband of your pants and he managed to strip you of them and your panties in one go. he tested the waters, running his fingers through your soaked folds, just barely brushing your clit.
you were gripping his arm tightly, head thrown back from his slight touch. it took everything in you not to scream as he rubbed into your clit with a rough thumb. he watched you intently, savoring every noise you made, committing the look on your face to memory. it was embarrassing how quickly his single movement turned your body to mush. you felt like you were becoming one with the sheets, your body melting into his bed, into him, into his touch.
“please xav,” you begged, hips kicking up as he pressed harder.
“whatever my girl wants.”
his girl? god, he was going to driving you mad like this.
he slowly pressed a finger into you, feeling your hot dampness engulf his digit happily. it was torturous, the way he slowly pumped it in and out of you, barely an intrusion, almost a nuisance at how good it felt yet not nearly enough.
you pulled him forward to kiss you, lips crashing into yours and swallowing every noise you made. his second finger made you gasp, finally relieving your built up tension. you swore you saw fireworks as he crooked them upwards and quickly found your g-spot. it was like your body was tailored to him, he knew every inch of it so easily.
you were floating, the coat of inebriation lighting his every touch on fire.
it wasn’t long until you were pulling him as close as possible to you, mumbling and groaning as you came on his fingers.
you didn’t think it could get any better, not until he pulled his fingers out of you, sucking them clean. it was disgusting in all the right ways, the devilish grin on his face as he tasted you.
you felt his hardness pressing into you, so you kissed him, pulling his hair, spurring him on.
when he pulled away, he looked sheepish, “we don’t have to go any further...”
your heart had officially liquified.
“xavier, there’s nothing i want more than for you to be inside of me right now.” you said reassuringly.
a groan fell from his mouth and he gaped at you, “you’re gonna kill me y/n.”
so you tugged at his sweats, mouthed at his collarbones as he rid himself of his boxers.
the sight of xavier’s cock made your mouth water. it’s always the tall, skinny ones. it was long, leaking at the tip, and bright pink. a red vein ran up his shaft and if you weren’t so eager for him to fuck you, you’d wanna feel it on your tongue immediately. you made a mental note for next time, desperately hoping that this wasn’t a one night fling.
you pumped him a few times, him leaning eagerly into your touch. he hissed as you palmed the tip of his dick unrelentingly.
“not gonna last long if you keep up like this,” he said through gritted teeth.
you pulled him in close, whispered in his ear, “then fuck me.”
“fuck.” he muttered, digging through his nightstand for a condom.
he fumbled with the foil, quickly rolling the rubber over his cock.
lining up with you, his eyes met yours, glassy and red. your head was in the clouds and you frantically tried to commit every moment of this to your memory. he sighed when he entered you, your breath catching in your throat. it was never ending, his dick finally fitting into you after a long push.
you panted into his mouth, in awe of the way he filled you up so generously. he thumbed your clit, waiting for you to adjust to the size of him.
fucking xavier was nothing like you could’ve imagined. he was gentle yet firm with his movements, finally pumping into you when you started to get fidgety,
it was deranged how his dick glided into your core, every thrust better than the last. he was hungry for you, his tongue slipping languidly into your mouth like he couldn’t get enough of you.
he gripped your hips with intensity, rolling his hips so sweetly that your brain was going numb. he was putting you in a trance. you were quite literally dick whipped in that moment.
you fisted his hair as he found your g-spot, the both of you letting out unfiltered moans. heat spread under your skin as he managed to hit that spot over and over.
“xavier,” you panted, “fuck, please.” you couldn’t even find the words to describe how you felt.
“say my name again.” he growled.
“xavier, oh my god.”
he threaded one hand through yours and the other landed back on your clit. you shuddered, all too familiar with the feeling engulfing your gut. you were floating, rising, crying out his name as his cock fell in and out of you.
“i’m gonna come,” you cried, hips spasming as he brought you over the edge. everything was hazy in the best way. he worked you through every second of your orgasm, calling you pretty words and praising you through it all.
the vice grip you had on his dick, the effortless slide of your wetness, your voiced, ragged and fucked out, tipped him over the edge.
his hips stuttered, balls slapping harshly against you, and he blew his load into the condom as he let out this beautiful wrecked noise. all for you.
you were latched onto him, holding him for dear life as you both panted loudly into each others necks.
the next few moment were cloudy, sweaty, slow. he kissed your neck, brushed the hair out of your face as he slowly left your hole. he tied off the condom quickly, throwing it out and grabbing a water bottle for you from his fridge. he settled back down next you, planting soft kisses against your shoulder as you took a sip of the cool liquid.
your legs shook slightly, still overstimulated and he mentioned this, a little smile on his face.
“yeah well,” you started, “the best sex of your life will do that to you.”
“me? the best?” he questioned, shocked.
you raised an eyebrow at him. “don’t act like you don’t know how you just made me feel,” you said, laughing. “magic dick or something.” you paused. “your powers got something to do with that?”
he laughed out loud and it felt so normal. the two of you naked, laughing, blushing, happy.
he looked at you seriously, “you know i was being honest when i said all that stuff right?” he questioned. he looked a little bit nervous.
“i want you to be my girl y/n.”
your heart squeezed and you kissed him.
“i think we can arrange that.”
you knew you could get used to that, and you did. many more hazy nights were spent wrapped in his covers with loving touches and meaningful words.

just friends
pairing xavier thorpe x fwb!reader
summary in which some friends with benefits are meant to be more
warnings friends with benefits, jealously, smut [rough sex, unprotected piv (don’t try this at home),
request Omg okay so this is the most specific request ever but I love your writing and can’t stop thinking about this concept! So they’re all on summer vacation, and Xavier gets a fwb (reader) to try and get over Wednesday (they aren’t a normie), then Xavier goes back to Nevermore, reader goes to visit him one weekend, meet Wednesday and gets super jealous, but then it ends in fluff and/or smut, where Xavier says he doesn’t like Wednesday anymore cos he’s into you 😫😳 -anon
i no longer support percy hynes white and i do not write for xavier thorpe anymore.
a/n not going to lie, it’s a little confusing. but it was too good to pass up. i decided to change it a little bit, but i hope you (lovely anon) still like it! i must admit this ended up way longer than i expected, i got a little carried away.
it’s safe to say you had a fun summer. a messy situation with xavier turned into a messy situationship.
xay, one of your best friends, somehow turned into your friend with benefits. a one time thing turned into a one, two, maybe ten, fifteen, time thing. no one fucked like xavier thorpe. no one knew you like xavier thorpe.
ajax, the only other person who knew about your fling, kept telling you that xavier was using you. to get over wednesday addams. maybe you knew that too, but xay was good at hiding it.
until fall came around.
your bi-nightly hookups quickly turned into weekly. xavier found himself always occupied, usually with Ms. Addams. you felt like maybe you didn’t have a right to be upset. but you also knew that you felt so much more between you two, more than just sex.
xay 11:27 pm
wanna come by?
you were honestly surprised, seeing this text pop up on your phone. you wanted to say no. you just about did
y/n 11:28 pm
why don’t you ask wednesday instead?
you knew it wasn’t right. to be petty. you didn’t have the right to be mad, right?
xay 11:31 pm
come over here so i can fix your attitude
you hesitated. but you can’t say no to xavier anyway. so within the next few minutes you were sneaking into the artists dorm room.
“you came,” he said, smiling. you didn’t reply, but instead, you walked over to xavier’s tall frame.
you wanted to ignore it. the way you knew he had feelings for wednesday. get this over with and go.
so, you wasted no time feelings under his shirt. kissing his neck and collarbones. tugging at his hair the way he liked. he didn’t complain, undressing you to your bra and underwear and pushing you flat onto the bed.
when it came to xavier, it didn’t take much to get that familiar pool between you thighs.
“xavier, just fuck me,” you said, waiting more impatiently than ever.
“needy.”
nonetheless, your underwear was discarded with haste, in a pile with your other clothes. xavier removed his own clothes and aligned himself with your entrance.
he bottomed out in you with one quick motion, making you both groan.
while letting you adjust, xavier thought it appropriate to say,
“you’re mine, y’know? i don’t care about her as anything more than a friend.”
you scoffed, “prove it.”
he scoffed too, almost mimicking you. he pulled almost all the way out and then slammed back into you abruptly. you opened your mouth to scream, and he didn’t hesitate to bring his hand to you mouth. his other hand was on your hip, keeping you realícele still while he slammed into you ruthlessly.
he found a quick pace that had your eyes rolling back within seconds. every thrust hit your g spot and made your screams and whines louder.
“fuck,” he said through strained lips, “feel so good wrapped around me, baby.”
you started to feel the haze come over you, getting lost in his voice and his movement. your name sounded so good falling from his lips.
his hand came away from your mouth, down to rub his name into your clit.
without his hand covering you, your cries were no longer muffled. you didn’t bother trying to hide them, it felt so good.
“i hope she comes down here and hears you,” he whispered into your ear, “how pretty you get for me.”
the room was filled with mixed smells and sounds. you were begging and pleading with him, for what, you don’t know. sweat poured down both of your faces while xavier rut into you, kissed you, groped you. touched you any way he could.
“god, i need you so bad,” he’d said, gripping your hips so you could meet him with his hits.
that band in your stomach was tightening and tears were forming in your eyes. you hair was surely ruined by now, your hips and neck probably bruised from xavier’s handling of you.
“xay,” you whined for the unpteenth time this evening, “so good- feels so good, pretty boy.”
“mhmmm- you were made for me-“
your breathing was shallow and short, almost synchronized with him.
“please, xay. please, please, please,” you were whining. begging, for something you knew you’d get. were about to get.
“i know, angel. let go, it’s okay,” he said. his strokes were getting sloppier and slightly slower. he was chasing his own release.
like he was gospel, you body reacted with his words. something beautiful washed over you. he wiped the few tears that stained your face, and let himself calm down.
his found a new, easier rhythm. with just a few thrusts, he was shooting his cum over your stomach, loving the little mess he made on you.
he cleaned you up, like he always did. gave you new clothes. you got up to leave quicker than normal, without an extra word.
“don’t go,” he said, following after you and reaching for your hips again (he quickly let go and giggled as you winced). “i meant what i said. i’m over her. i want you.”
“let’s lay down,” you said. you were both gleaming as you laid down next to each other. you talked everything out and then went to sleep in each other’s arms.
