I've never read Yellowfang's Secret and it's insane to me that what we see of Lizard is supposed to be "evil woman" like from the screenshots you posted this is really and truly someone who is being forced to bear children. Like, during the Brokenkit Handoff, she's shouting about not wanting to raise every unwanted kit and how badly she hates this, only for Raggedstar to start bellowing at her to shut her mouth. He's able to "convince" her based on on "ambition" they slapped onto the character in that moment, but when you really step back and look at the context, it just reads like she realizes she has no fucking choice

Guys, but what if Red Hood's helmet was never about protecting his identity or hiding his baby face. What if it was just about protecting him from potential head trauma.
Think about it, when Talia found him he was catatonic and suffering from severe brain damage. Brain damage that she tried every natural means to heal before ultimately resorting to the pit. Ain't no way she was about to let the baby bird she literally nursed back to health go out into the world and ruin all of her hard work.
His mommy literally sent him off to become a crime lord and traumatize his father with a fucking safety helmet.
The anonymity of it was purely coincidental, but I'd bet my left tit that she emphasized that aspect of it to get him to use it without complaining about her perfectly reasonable overprotective tendencies.

I'm probably going to enjoy the new Fable whether or not they've decided to go with the destruction of the Hero's Guild as the main plot hook, but I'm obsessed with the idea of playing as a child survivor of the event anyway.
Every day you get up and are told that you're special. You train day in and day out to hone your powers, to build the skills you need to become a Hero, and then you go to bed sore but content. One day, the people of Albion will be begging for your help or your mercy. You're a Hero, and therefore you're special. The commonfolk are beneath you, as is the duty to morality. Good and evil, right and wrong - no one has the right to force you to adhere to any of these concepts. It's no one's place to decide what a Hero should be, save for the Hero themself. And one day, you'll get to choose what kind of Hero you'll be.
But then, one night, while lying in your bed with your aching bones and dreams of greatness, you smell smoke. There's screaming and fire. And sure enough, you see your home burning before your eyes. The Heroes you aspired to become, to overtake some day, are being mowed down and massacred by the ordinary people you've been taught to look down upon. The people who are less than you, who aren't special. They're here, and they're burning and killing everyone and everything they come across, and you have no choice but to run for your life. If that happened then they'd be the same age as Irey and Jai.
There is no doubt in my mind that the tornado twins will either be the same age as the west twins or the same age as Wally's new baby.

Thinking about that time when I was pressured into giving my testimony by not only my peers but also one of the religious leaders at my church even though I kept stating I didn't want to and was uncomfortable.
And then when I finally did, the testimony I told was about how I'd learned that not all Christians were good people and about how people had used god, Christianity, and their authority to hurt me and people I loved and how I was having to seperate the way they acted from the beliefs I held and then everyone looked at me like this:
#im not even a Christian anymore and im STILL having to work on this#i want to make sure im being the appropriate amount of a dickhead to people#christian that thinks abusing and harrassing people is okay? hello im hear to be a dickhead to you#but Christian who is simply respectfully and peacefully practicing their religion? i really should not be a dickhead to that person#basically deconstructing and trying ti heal from my trauma so thaf i dont continue the cycle or hive birth to a new one#id like the abuse to end with me#i thought this instance was hilarious though#also for anyone who doesnt know what a testimony is:#im not sure the exact definition but basically you talk about how you found god or something#usually the more grueling and horrible your life was before you converted and the better it was after the more encouraged youd be by others#a very common example was people who had struggled with addiction or alcoholism and then recovering because of their new faith#but i was very uncomfortable because everyone else in the group i was in was born and raised Christian and i knew this#we were also between the ages of like 12 and 16 so not exactly rife with devastating additions or tales of loss and grief#i think the most convincing one and the one that was the least dramatized or confusing was just this one kid#this one kid who talked a out how being born prematurely had affected his life and i think his parents also got divorced#or he had an absent dad or something#anyway moral of the story: dont pressure people to tell you things. its disrespectful and you may find you dont like the story you get

I’m a Belos made some of the Grimwalkers as adults but over time started making them younger and younger until he made Hunter as a young baby/child truther. He figured out that, the younger they are, the easier they are to manipulate and mold to his liking.
