So I found this really helpful fact sheet from the US government's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration:

There's always people theorizing how the Batfamily hides Jason disappearance and reappearance, but I literally haven't seen anyone use the best explanation: Witness Protection.

Like this literally answers every question. The Death Certificate? They had to fake his death. The empty grave? Obviously it had to be believable. The time when Wayne Heir "Richie Wayne" refused to step foot in Gotham and talk to his father? He was pissed about Jason's (non) death. Brucie Wayne's very real depression after his death? Well he lost contact with his son and he was under immense stress from the government.

Like this literally answers every question I can come up with. Why has no one said he was in witness protection? And if people have done it, send me fics and prompts because I'm obsessed.

And the best part is, the Waynes are so stupidly rich that they could pull it off. Lex Luther could try and conduct his own investigation but somehow he can never find anything concrete. And if he gets too close either Babs hacks them or Tim just calls up Conner for a distraction.

One time Jason gets cornered and asked how he felt about returning to his life after being in Witness Protection. Unfortunately, him and Bruce weren't on the best terms to explain the whole story but he comes in clutch. He spins the tale about how heartbroken he was to see his brother, father and grandfather grieving and how honored he was when he learnt his new little brother idolized him. Tim got ahold of a copy of the interview and will never let Jason live it down.

The media doesn't ask Bruce questions about Jason's death because last time they did he broke down and a suddenly furious reporter chastised them and reminded them that while Jason may be alive Bruce still mourned his death. The picture of Bruce in tears at the interview is currently one of Jason's favourite lockscreens.

Same goes for Dick. Any questions of his brother's death results in (1) Richie Wayne ready to throw hands at any and everybody, (2) his wife (well one of them) Barbara Gordon threatening the reporters or (3) That same Metropolis reporter chastising the whole community again.

headcanon that scorpius was a sick child and was in and out of hospital constantly, perhaps related to astoria's blood curse but not directly. his immune system isnt very strong, and everytime he gets sick they're terrified that it's the blood curse but also whatever else it could be, because it's always so sudden and so intense and they call healers over to the house who recommend this delirious feverish 4 year old is hospitalised immediately, and you'd think it'd get easier to some extent because they'd be used to it, but everytime they feel like this is it, this is the time he'll walk in to the hospital and not walk out again

oopsie! accidentally thought about katsuya "brother complex" suou in hysterics upon finding his baby brother burned and stabbed in front of the shrine! holding his hand and trying to stop all that goddamn blood on the way to the hospital! sitting by his bedside as he recovers, the kid laying there so scared in the hospital! silly me!

One of these days I'm going to take the "Percy (mistakenly) low-key always thinks he's the only adult in the room" trope to its logical (ish) conclusion and throw the guy a Liam's Quest-shaped curveball. Like, the younger they are the older (ie. teenager) they become and vice versa. Congrats, my guy, all your teammates are kids/teens, you officially are the only adult in the room - now what? I’m rewatching the confession scene in 5 and... the way Tara’s face changes when Sam say “I just couldn’t be around you anymore, Tara.” She took that personally. She schools her face from that point on and quickly becomes overwhelmed.

Then a few lines later we get:

Tara: “You're gone for 5 years. 5 whole years. And then I get stabbed and you wanna come back and you wanna drop all this shit on me?“

Sam: “No, I swear, I thought I was protecting you.”

Tara: “Protecting me from what?

Sam: “...”

Tara: “The truth?”

Sam: “...No. ...No I...”

From herself, right? That’s the implication here right?

I feel bad for feeling excited about Kuai Liang being Scorpion when so many feel otherwise.

Na dont feel bad, yeah its weird that for the first time in 30 years, scorpion isnt hanzo but people being like "UGH this RUINED scorpion WHERES hanzo WHY is kuai liang scorpion WE WONT STAND FOR THIS" are overreacting like crazy.

If anything im relieved that kuai is scorpion bc if it were hanzo it wouldve been pure and simple character assassination: no wife and child, not a shirai ryu, not a vengeful wraith... and sure let's say hanzo doesnt need that to be hanzo, but hey if you remove or tip toe around his japanese identity on top of that with him being the son and brother of chinese men, with him being part of a chinese clan, it's not a good look. Also would people really have been okay with him being the younger brother of bi-han and deferring to him? No im glad scorpion has been confirmed as kuai liang

as for that, well, at the very least I still trust nrs to give us an explanation in the story as for why this development happened, you could say that im kiiinda excited for said explanation? Like nothing happen for no reason so 👀, yknow? At least I will hate until the game is out before hating on its story now that I know its still consistent on its characters' established dynamics

This is so cool! Finding animal life beneath hydrothermal vents is incredible! Some of the things they found in the underwater cave systems in earth's volcanic crust include snails and tube worms. These tube worms alongside chemosynthetic bacteria, use the hydrogen sulphide in the chemical plumes from thermal vents by oxidising it to create energy and sugars to survive. How cool is that?!

I think this article also really demonstrates how important it is to conserve and protect lesser known ecosystems and species.
