BMI, the music licensing agency that represents thousands of songwriters, has announced that it will sell to the private equity firm New Mountain Capital, The New York Times reports. Terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed; in August, Billboard cited sources claiming the deal could be worth $1.7 billion. The sale needs to be approved by shareholders and undergo “customary regulatory approvals.” The two sides expect the deal to close by the end of 2024’s first quarter.

After announcing that it would change over to a for-profit model before considering a sale of the company, BMI faced scrutiny over the change from songwriter groups. BMI and ASCAP are the two major licensing agencies which distribute royalties to songwriters and publishers from songs being played via the radio, online streaming, and in retail settings.

I've seen different interpretations via fan art as to what happens to a fallen angel's halo. All gorgeous and honestly, the talent in the Good Omens fandom??? *chef's kiss!*

But anyway, as an alternative and seeing as how Aziraphale used his Halo as a weapon 'The thing with the halo'....what if rather than transform into something demonic...like they get their horns from Satan but that's after God takes back the halo?

My point is...

As Supreme Archangel with more rank and power now....whose to say if Aziraphale, missing Crowley and unsure of how to process all those post-season two emotions, and in need of a "new" halo....takes the one that used to belong to Crowley???

And who's to say the symbolic...symbolism of literally holding on to a thing that used to define someone you loved when you initially met?Who's to say that the comfort of Crowley's halo only last so long since it's been SO long since it was last Crowley's and just doesn't do enough for Aziraphale anymore and his desire for the real Crowley gets stronger?

Who's to say Aziraphale doesn't 'do the thing with the halo' again and start of the Heavenly revolution by setting off Crowley's old halo as an act of war? (me, cos it's narratively repetitive and unlikely to happen but I like thinkin' about it)

yes i doooooo i think stewy’s family (and im sure this is the assumption we’re supposed to make) comes from a long line of very wealthy generational wealth. still not at the level of the roys considering the roys are supposed to be one of the richest families in the world, but very wealthy. im sure they lost a chunk of it in the revolution and after they immigrated, but again, remained very wealthy. i do however think that stewy now is the richest he’s ever been

au where charles is an architect and max is the structural engineer whos forced to deal with him and the target audience is me

#the premise: they both work for huge london firms #charles is an associate and he's working on this project in italy thats unnecessarily elaborate and organic #its like. zaha hadid meets rem koolhaas #like its just a lot #max really doesnt want to deal with it but his firm has an agreement with charles' firm #and they all drew straws and max lost because he was late to work that day because he was hungover #so now its his problem #the project is a multibillion dollar art gallery in italy owned by lewis hamilton who is an art dealer #every piece of this thing has to be custom made. every beam every joint every window #the whole thing #max and charles have to travel across europe constantly to all these different factories to oversee the quality #its really REALLY annoying #but they bond a lot during their trips and actually it turns out they have really similar tastes and ideas #they both want to do more or less the same things #impassioned drunken speeches in hotel bars about architectural theory and the inherent beauty of physics #that kind of thing #at the end they quit their jobs to start their own firm #they shamelessly poach all their friends from their previous companies #the hamilton deal actually falls through as well because it turns out lewis is fucking charles' principal (sebastian)#their firm immediately fires him and then lewis hires him privately #and sebastian designs him this very nice little sustainable vernacular architecture gallery which wins like 10 awards #its on the cover of architectural digest. the founder of his previous firm? fuming.#and they all live happily ever after the end #writing tag

im so fucking overstimulated rn LMFAOOOOO the semester starting is going to kill me for REAL!!!!

#purrs #everyone is super great but also like... god. we're keeping our office door open and its so loud outside. we have ZERO private space in the #office and the interns are going to work in here now so me and the other professional staff cant like..h have conversations bc there are th #things the interns cant / shouldnt / arent ready to hear or know abt yet. (<- the irony of ME of all ppl saying that and holding firm to it #💀 but whatever.) and tmi as fuck but i have anxiety abt using public restrooms and over the summer they were all empty and now there are #people EVERYWHERE and i have to go so bad i feel like im gonna **** but all of the single stall bathrooms are constantly occupied and i #woudl rather die than use one of the multi stall ones so i guess i will just have to decompose until i get home 💀. this is a NOIGHTMAAAARE #and ppl are walking past the door and can see me and i feel so uncomfortable like. i want to jump out of my skin. at least no one can see m #screen anymore but idk how i feel abt them seeing my face. cosmo wanda i wish i had a private office and a private bathroom so fucking bad #its actually unreal. and we are going to be like this for the next 9 months LOL HELP!!!!!

Just as a heads up for those who may have followed me for specific content - after everything that went down over the last few weeks, I’ve determined that I won’t be posting any more mcyt related content here.

I’ll be keeping the gifs that I’ve posted up, because I’m not a fan of deleting things I’ve made and at one time really enjoyed… but I won’t be posting anything else about the fandom or the content creators in it. All my fics on ao3 have been made anonymous as well, but I’ve made sure to keep them up and available if you know where to look.

I’ve updated my pinned post as well that has more info about what I’ll be posting about moving forward.

It goes without saying that it’s incredibly important to continually support and uplift victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Even though the discourse changes from day to day, it’s important not to forget that in the end, real people are involved with real feelings.

It’s been… an interesting ride, and while 2021 me is devastated to see things fall apart the way they have, 2024 me is ready to move on. It’s been fun. o7
