Caved in and made some doodles of my WK au !

In this AU, an accident leaves Chris suffering from amnesia. Zach rescues him and was gonna inicially use him to blackmail the Tortuga Crew but after realizing Chris can't remmember any of his time as a WK and that his knowledge in animals could be useful to him, Zach decides to convince the younger Kratt to join his side.

So yeah !! Now they are both evil, dumb and dramatic yay! Orange and black cat dynamic lol

More info below the cut !

In this AU Chris still has most of his memories but his time as a Wild Kratt is completely erased. He remmembers up to the time where he graduated college.

Zach uses this to his advantage and comes up with a story in which Chris and the rest of the WK went their separate ways after Chris had a fight with his brother and the rest of the crew.

Chris is kinda suspicious at first but as time goes on he starts to believe it. This is due to the fact that his views on animals and how they should be treated has been changing the more he has been with Zach and he doesn't agree with the idea of "living free and in the wild" anymore. So he can see how he and the Wild Kratts may have had a falling out.

He has more of a "I think animals should be kept caged so that they can be safe and humanity can study them and appreciate their beauty" kinda vibe.

He still loves animals and doesn't want to hurt them tho, so he and Zach argue on how Zach shouldn't use animals in his inventions.

They both come to an agreement that if Zach uses animals on his inventions then no harm should come to the creatures. (Chris still disapproves tho)

I HAVE A LOT of notes on this AU but I'm afraid this is already kinda confusing ?? I get so in my head sometimes so lmk if you understand any of this LOL

i hate the ‘can you draw me’ question but it’s not exactly that i wont draw people for free. I’m a figure and portrait based artist. it’s just that if you ask i will say no. but if we become friends and hang out a lot and i’m bored i will be pulling out my sketchbook and drawing you without even asking thank you very much

#i draw strangers too but its not. as fun bc they move all the time so i can’t exactly do a finished drawing of them #< if you start talking to me about the ethics of drawing strangers in my sketchbook i am not gonna engage with that. drawing strangers is #literally fine most artists do it its really great practice #but yeah. i have so many drawings of my friends #like. one of my friends has these kind of eyes with this green undertone under them and a really sharp nose and it is. fascinating to study #my best friend has this like. rounded but square face and this really really great smile and also. sits for me way better than anyone else #drawing ppl isn’t exactly not a thing i do bc i like them. it is. but its more so they’re always around i always have my sketchbook out and #they do not mind me getting in some practice

ppl make a good point when they say making Damian pale isn’t whitewashing. i just get annoyed when ppl make him a Brucie junior with blue eyes and a button nose and such. he IS half white so it’s not crazy for him to be pale or take after his dad a bit, but i think it’s CRIMINAL when ppl give him blue eyes or dont a LEAST draw him with a wicked ass, cool ass BREATHTAKING nose. as long as y’all get those eyes and nose right i’ll leave u alone

I kinda want to put my eye color to a poll bc no one can agree with whether they're green, brown, or hazel as a compromise (the woman at th DMV for my first state ID agreed with me that they were green so that's what they legally are, my father who is confirmed red-green colorblind to this day insists our eyes are brown regardless, a kind woman in the homeless shelter said they were definitely green, and my bestie who has trouble making out some green shades is willing to capitulate that they've got quite a bit of green to them but are still hazel)

But the way facial recognition technology is going, I'm hesitant to put something that can help circumvent wearing masks

#or like what if i become so important to need an eye-scanning lock #actually i don't know if those actually exist outside of heist movies BUT WHAT IF #btw they're not like bright green the closest i can get to describing them is a dark watermelon #but that's still green #my dad insisting they're brown is so funny bc he knows he's colorblind #we had a little red car when i was little and when he found out ppl were calling him [Name] With The Little Red Car he was agog #all that time he thought it was a Little Brown Car and the few times he heard it referred to as The Little Red Cat he thought it was a joke #then he got tested for colorblindness and surprise surprise he's red green colorblind but still insists our eyes are brown
