oscar is always so clingy after a race . . . he prefers to stay pretty calm over the team radio, not wanting to blow up on them when he's had a particularly bad race or go overboard if he's had a good one. but when he gets back to the hotel room with you, his arms are wrapped tightly around your waist as he drags you both to the plush double bed. he buries his face in your neck, his only response to your reassurance and or praise beinf soft hums and the odd kiss to your shoulder. all he wants after a race is to have you in his arms; to him, it's better than any celebration.

Honeymoon

As my wedding day with Mark gets closer to ending, I wanted to have a fic to celebrate the ocassion! Specifically, I wanted to have this be a honeymoon fic (if that wasn't obvious from the title lol). Shepard and Mark get to have a little chat at the beach about family, and not being able to have your family with you for a big moment like a wedding

Shepard hasn’t been to the beach in years. When Mark had suggested that as a honeymoon spot, she wasn’t sure about it. She’s always gotten hot easily, and she hates being around sand. But with the charges against Mark being lifted, he has more freedom now than he has in a long time. So when he said in their wedding planning that he wanted to go to the beach for their honeymoon, Shepard was happy to oblige.

They’re not at a popular destination, but they made sure to get a room at a nice resort for a week. It has beachfront access along with a massage parlor and restaurant built into it, and the poolside bar is nice to have even though Shepard doesn’t drink. She’s able to enjoy a virgin pina colada on the beach with Mark thanks to it, and that helps keep her occupied as she tans on a beach chair next to her new husband.

Even if Shepard doesn’t like the sand, she does at least get to enjoy the view of Mark in his beachwear. He’s wearing a Hawaiian shirt with the buttons left undone and a pair of black swim trunks. His tinted lens sunglasses look good on him too, reflecting the sun off of them as he takes a sip from his margarita.

She does worry about him drinking, though. He’s been sober for a long time now, but Shepard’s aware of how slippery of a slope addiction can be. She trusts Mark, more than just about anything, but she still worries about him.

Especially when she can tell he’s upset about something. Mark has never been the most emotionally expressive, but he’s quieter than usual and there’s a tense set to his jaw.

Shepard hopes that he’s not drinking because he’s upset. This trip was supposed to be fun for them, a chance to go out and do something just for the two of them. If Mark’s upset about something, she needs to know what. At least then she can give him some kind of comfort.

Shepard cuddles up to his side, resting her hand on his belly.

“We’re going to sweat to death cuddling like this,” Mark points out.

“At least I’ll die with my husband, then,” she says.

Mark gives a dry laugh in response. “You need a little more of a survival instinct than that, sweetheart.”

“I have plenty of survival instinct. And I’m good at noticing when you’re upset.” Shepard rests her chin on Mark’s shoulder. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing,” he assures. “I’m happy to be here with you.”

“But?”

“But…” Mark wraps his arm around Shepard, reaching up to toy with some of her hair. “Angie should’ve been there for our wedding.”

“Ah.”

Shepard can’t blame him for being upset about that. Getting married is big, and that’s the kind of milestone you’d want your family to be around for. Angelina was all that Mark had, and she died before she could have seen the day he got married.

“I bet she would’ve been happy for you,” Shepard says.

“And thought I took my damn time getting married,” Mark says. He sighs, running his fingers through Shepard’s hair. “Christ, I’m almost fifty.”

“It just took you a while to find the right person.”

“Well, you’re definitely the right person.”

Mark turns his head to press a kiss to Shepard’s forehead. He’s quiet for a moment. Shepard lets him take his time. She knows he needs it sometimes to work out what to say. Emotional talks aren’t his strong suit, and especially not ones about Angelina. It’s hard to imagine just how painful it is to lose your only family— if she’s honest, she thinks she’d end up burning her whole life down too if her sister died. But it's deeper for Mark with the layers of his and Angelina's relationship. He practically raised her, and her death tore a part from him that can never come back even as things have started to turn around for him.

Eventually he says, “You know I’m happy with you.”

“Of course I know that,” Shepard says.

“It just seems wrong that she missed this. She always loved weddings and that kind of stuff. She would’ve been all over trying to help with the planning and that kinda thing if you’d let her.” Mark sighs. “And it pisses me off that she wasn’t around to see mine.”

“It’s not fair,” Shepard agrees.

“It sure as fuck isn’t,” Mark says. He takes a long sip of his drink. “I don’t know why I’m thinking about it so much right now.”

“Probably because it’s a family thing. She was your only family, and now we’re making a new family. It makes sense that you’d be upset she’s not around to see it,” she points out.

“Guess so,” he says.

Shepard knows that’s probably as close to an agreement as she’ll get from him. It’s still hard for him to admit that he’s hurting. But she’s here for him, and she hopes that he knows that she’d be with him through anything. Dating while he was in hiding wasn’t easy, and integrating him back into the world after his charges got lifted wasn’t easy either. She’s stuck with him through everything, and she doesn’t think that there’s anything at this point that she wouldn’t be willing to get through as long as Mark is with her.

Mark sighs, looking down at his drink. “Is that pina colada good?”

“Yeah?” Shepard replies, not quite sure why he’s asking.

“I’ll get one too later. I should switch to virgin stuff,” he says.

“Sounds good. We can treat ourselves to all the virgin options,” she says.

Shepard’s proud of Mark. She won’t say it outloud because she knows that he’d get embarrassed and try to brush off the compliment. But that he’s able to recognize when to stop drinking is a good thing, especially since she’s sure thinking about Angelina is a trigger for him. Her murder is what led to him binge drinking, after all.

He’s grown in so many ways in the time since she’s met him. Mark’s not the same person that Shepard met back in that ruined bathroom, chained to the wall by a bruised leg from his attempts to escape. And she doesn’t think that she’s the same person who found him either. Both of them have changed, and she likes to think that it’s all been for the better.

Shepard presses a quick kiss to Mark’s cheek, her lips brushing against his scar. His skin is hot beneath hers and she can taste sea salt.

“I love you,” she says. “And I’m so happy that you’re my husband.”

Mark grins in response, reaching around Shepard to take her drink from where it sits on the table beside their beach chairs. She makes an offended noise as he takes a sip from it, but doesn’t object beyond that. Not when he gives the glass back to her, letting her drink from it too.

Mark rubs one hand down her back, and he says, “I love you too, wife.”

but oh my god, is it an interesting scenario. you never meant to fall for clem, but how could you resist? he was funny, got on well with you, and since he hung around your brother, you were in each other's company quite a lot. it only made sense that you'd end up catching feelings. what you weren't expecting was for him to feel the same way-

marcus has no clue how to feel about it all, either. he's torn between being happy for both you and clem, since you've both found someone who treats you right and who makes you happy, but also being filled with some sort of disgust that out of everyone in the world, you just had to go and date his best friend.

he has the most dramatic reactions if you're ever even slightly affectionate around him, too. clem's hand is on your knee? marcus is acting like you just committed a heinous crime. he presses a kiss to your cheek? how dare he corrupt you like that. but he also loves it, cause it gives him so much ammo to make fun of you both with. like, you're teasing him a little too much one day? oh, well remember the time he walked in on you both making out in clem's driver's room? and he nearly tripped over his own shoes trying to move away from you? cause marcus sure does.

i am so tired lol.

With this new kosa bill I’m just so tired. YouTube and Tumblr have been the only places where I feel like I could meet people who were like me without being judged for it. But if this kosa bill gets signed I may not have that anymore. And I’m terrified of that. I don’t feel like I can talk to the people I know irl about the fact that I’m aroace or that I think I might be genderfluid.

I’ve already been in a depressive spiral already and this just makes it so much worse.

I know that if this bill gets passed it won’t be taken into effect immediately and there still is hope that it might not be passed at all if we make our voices heard enough, but if it does get passed I fear that by the time I’m able to leave the US it’ll be too late. Not only that but there’s also project 2025 to worry about.

I’m slowly becoming more and more terrified of living in the US and I just want to leave.

I just wanted to talk about my favorite medias and make stupid fanfics and art. I am so tired.

Me: the gemstone that decorates Nerine's key used to be just an ordinary gem... I'm glad I changed it to a mega keystone that's a lot more fitting. What if I made it canon and have it so she replaced the gem at some point ^.^

And what if AZ decided to used it to make Nerine's engagement ring so that this symbol of their shared hurt could become something that represents a new beginning for both of them. Makeup routine? 🐈‍⬛

mhhhhhhhhh. I would make a video but it is not v much so i would feel too silly .. I can write it out &post my products later if u want. my makeup itself is simple but I think my techniques r.. odd lol

• moisturizer + sunscreen + primer! bcus i alwaysm accidentally rub my makeup off

• i use a very pale concealer that is almost lilac-y under my eyes & around my mouth + nose to brighten up all my shadows n then a sheer foundation like .. only on the center of my face? I will just rly lightly use it to brighten + even out the center of my forehead, my bridge&around my nose, and chin. Idk

• i tint my eyebrows with beard dye bcus I loatheee drawing them on but my brows r high + thin. emphasis the front part of ur brows &tilt them up a bit when u draw so u always look a bit pouty and 'hmph' <- Princess secret

• i use a veryvery grey cool - toned brown color to contour bcus it is the only shade that works with my skintone . I just kinda smudge it along the edge of my jaw and then bcus i have fractured my nose onemillion times it is rly uneven so I just do a little line down the one side .. to even it out lol. and then that'ms it . God bless how kittycat my nose is.. my tip to replicate this is to widen the bridge of ur nose with a light powder and then only contour the very tip. U want ur nose to look like V <- this sort of shape

• i put all of my blush where I am naturally pink like across my nose + the edges of my cheeks and then i extend it up to the corners of my eyes .. and then this is typically where i start decorating myself with glitter . Lots. I like putting it in the center of my lid and then right under my lacrimal caruncle ehich is the pink thingie in thr corner of ur eye. Also like a tiny fairy dusting of it on my nose tip . this is also the point where I go over all of my beautymarks with a brown eyeliner to make sure their starpower is visible always!

• for my mascara I use a rlllly teensy tiny eyelash curler that only curls small sections bcus i only curl the corner of my eyelashes . I have rly long lashes but it comes with the curse of them being too heavy to stay up soo . I heat up my curler with my lighter, curl the ends bcus it makes me look extraterrestrial kitten - like , then I use a waterproof mascara. if u want a dollier type of look, curl all of ur lashes .

• i like smudging out dark pink / red lip - stains in the center of my lips to make it seem like my bitten as fuxkkck lips are actually makeup &...not jsut mutilated lol. But it gives u a rly lovestruck kissie innocent effect that i like. i don'mt do lipliner or anythint bcus it looks too strange with my lipshape but sometimes I take a littttle bit of lipstick on a brush and use to very lightly emphasize my cupid's bow ... I like how heart - shaped it looks and again . It is just very kittycat to me
