you probably already saw this in ur notifs but i have been OBSESSED with everything tot you've posted ever since my tot obsession came back. like. OH MAN I VIBE WITH YOU. YOUR IDEAS AND DISCUSSION OF CHARACTERS. CHEFS KISS. poly ot5 is my everything especially bcs it gets DEEP into every one of them :D

and i was thinking about mc's parents meeting nxx. in a scenario where maybe, they need researchers and for some reason or whatever they need someone personal, who they can fully trust including maybe some nxx stuff.

luke looks at mc. mc looks at luke.

well, if marius von hagen needed them. surely they'd be allowed to leave the program maybe temporarily.

and that's how vyn, artem, and marius have their internal parental issues brought out in full force at the sight of mc and luke with mc's parents. like they're just coddling them in the Parent way and they're both enjoying it as a Son and Daughter would. and those three are just like Oh. Wow. That Looks Nice.

artem has both parents but like based on how he's lonely as a kid i know these sorts of interactions were surely few and far between. he would Not be so emotionally repressed. marius has a loving dad but a dead mom who people blame him for and austin has said himself that he Represses. like marius. and vyn? Disastrous. yeah they would be having a Moment with that sort of scenario

and the Moments they will be having when the parenting goes to them too. because i think mc's parents are the type to parent their kid's friends too. they see these sad boys and think. Adopted.

i rlly wish we knew more about mc’s parents in canon. like i understand that theyve been yeeted into the void for narrative/player-insert-ambiguity purposes buT I HAVE A GREAT NEED!! TO SEE THEM COME BACK!!! ALL THE INTERACTIONS WLD BE LOVELY

and gosh yeah jkvkjHVJAHFKS 3 SAD BOIS R IN GREAT NEED FOR SOME FAMILIAL LOVE!! it makes me really emotional thinking about how artem, vyn, and marius have less than stellar parent-relationships for all the reasons u mention. it’s either absence, neglect, or something else altogether that just resulted in a childhood where their parents couldve been better. they werent the worst parents in the world, but they all couldve been better.

(sidenote: “and vyn? Disastrous” THATS SUCH A FUNNBY ONE-LINER FOR HIS PARENT SITUATION AKJFHVSOFAISLVALIUBA)

im So For mc’s parents vaguely becoming pseudo-parents to the other three. i mean, they already did that with luke, whats 3 more neurotic grown men?

(sidenote 2: i joke sometimes that luke is unintentionally very good at collecting father figures. aaron, that Bar L owner, a bunch of mentioned NSB seniors he worked under. people see luke and go “wow is anybody gonna son-ify that young man” and then they dont wait for an answer, they just go for it)

itd be sweet and also entertaining if mc’s parents invited them all to a dinner. i mean, the nxx boys are the people she hangs around The Most so it’s basically like meeting her friend group! her….really weird and varied friend group who REALLY want to make a good impression.

[outside of mc’s apartment, artem, marius, and vyn stall on ringing the door buzzer]

marius: ok so before we go in, i wanna ask…….what gifts did u get her parents?

vyn: this better not be a way for you to flaunt your gift

marius: it isnt! im genuinely curious!! and also hoping i’ll be less nervous if i know what you guys brought!!!

artem: i bought a kitchen knife set and sharpened them myself

vyn: i purchased the best bottle of wine i could

marius: …cool. cool cool cool cool those are lovely and reasonable gifts and now im realizing i should uh. tone mine down.

Rosa Memories

I dated both Vyn and Artem, at the same time. Yes, they knew and yes they were fine with it. I remember Vyn asking first and then Artem second, but Artem didn’t know about my relationship with Vyn. So I told him and explained everything.

I called Vyn too. I told him what Artem asked and asked for his opinion on the matter; he knew beforehand that I had liked Artem, but had seen Artem was too busy with cases for a devout relationship. Vyn listened intently, and said that as long as Mr. Wing knew of our already pre-existing relationship and consent was with both sides, things could work.

It was a bit hard at first; trying to find balance between Vyn’s and Artem’s schedule to spend time with them both. One had different needs than the other, and one had a different way of love language. I called them both and asked them to come over one night and just told them flat out that I am having issues balancing things between them.

Artem and Vyn both had a look on their face and I knew they thought I was breaking up with them, so I quickly clarified that no, I am not breaking up with either of them. I just wanted to call them over to see if they had any ideas on how to work this out, because I loved them equally and didn’t want to hurt one to please the other. And Artem spoke, and with his suggestion, it caught me and Vyn off-guard. Artem just implied that we do a poly-three way. I didn’t understand at first and he explained further. Say I’m point A. A goes to B and C, just as B goes to A and C, and C goes to A and B. A triangle!

I looked at Vyn and he asked Artem if he could step out so we could discuss matters privately, and he agreed. So Vyn turned to look at me better and asked what I thought. I said I was okay with it; I was just concerned because I don’t know either of their sexualities and didn’t want to make things uncomfortable for them. Vyn told me right then and there, that he had been questioning for a while; in fact, it was ever since he joined the NXX and seen Artem. He told me how Artem had awoken something within him that had scared him, so he hid it for years until he was okay enough to confront the issue again. He asked if I was okay with that, and if changed my views on him. I shook my head and said no, why would it? Even if he did tell me from the beginning or in fact, kept it hidden until we parted, I still would’ve loved him the same way. I cannot solely love someone or deny them that love based of something as trivial as sexuality, or lack thereof. Vyn seemed pleased with my answer, and he took of his glasses.

He was crying. He was crying?? I thought. I asked if I said anything wrong and he just shook his head no, wiped his glasses and cleared his throat. He said he had been so scared that it would change my view on him or our love, and that I would leave. I held him for a bit, and texted Artem he could come back in. He told Artem the same thing, and Artem was shocked at first. Now, as far as I know, Artem did not harbor any homophobia. I seen a look in his eyes that confirmed what I thought, and Artem came out right there too.

Artem had sighed as if a weight were taken from him. He said that although he himself were not questioning, he was indeed bisexual. That he had seen a show during his childhood that had awoken the same urge and feeling as Vyn described. That out of fear of repercussion from his family and parents, out of fear for being judged by the media and clients, out of fear for being blacklisted from jobs and such, he kept it hidden. And so, we three had an intense talk that night. It was not a bad talk, just talk filled with love and nothing less.

I remember how Vyn asked me to be his. The following is that memory;

“Time itself seems to stop, as if it too, were stunned by your words. I blink a few times, and look up at you. You stand before me with your hand extended, a patient smile on your face. Your soft eyes glimmer in the lights, the flickering candle on the table dances back, entranced by your beauty too. Your eyes encapsulate me, enveloping me in a world unknown to anyone else. My heart quickens again, as you ask me to dance with you.

My brain and body are no longer one; my brain wants me to refuse, to stay out and watch you go, and my heart wants to agree with you. And so I do. I dare not look away from your eyes, for I’m too afraid the spell you’ve cast will end and you’ll simply vanish from existence. As we slowly make our way to the dance floor, the occupants move, as if enthralled by you too. They whisper amongst themselves, but their quiet and ushered words fall upon deafened ears. The music starts, and you whisk me away.

The strings and the piano dictate our moves and I lose sense of direction and stumble. You catch me and hold me oh so close. You smell of roses, a warm fireplace, and of spice. It reminds me of a home I’ve never stepped foot in, yet I feel homesick. You gently lift my head, and move a strand of loose hair, tucking it behind my ear. It leaves a lingering warmth on my face. You hold my face as the music slows, and lean down to my ear.

3 words were whispered. Yet, those 3 words lit my heart and body aflame. Those 3 words sent warmth all over my body, and soon, my face matched the redness of my dress. Yet, you stayed and danced. We danced the entire night, and nobody dared to stop us. As the music began to fade, and the sun started to rise, I whispered 4 words back to you.

I love you too.

I always have, Vyn.”

author’s note: this was hard since i wanted to make a gn reader, but the freaking mc is female hnrgrhgr im dead after attempting to write this, sorry if it’s not on par with your desires ;;

you’ve been working alongside NXX for a while as their newest member (temporary or permanent), whether that be as another detective or personal bodyguard for the miss at Themis Law Firm—but eventually catch yourself up in their antics too, and eventually becoming so attracted to…

Marius

if you’ve fallen for Marius’ charms, he never expected that his naturally smug nature would attract anyone truly—especially a refined spy

nonetheless, he is happy, and introduces you to the rest of NXX

albeit, he knows everyone else is attracted to you already, and isn’t too receptive at first, but he comes to terms with it eventually and becomes content when they all come to admit their feelings for you

Luke

if you originally got introduced through Luke, people would know you through the rise of your detective work

you’ve probably know Luke for at least a while, maybe running into him and ending up working together in some form during quite a few cases in the past

in your free time though, Luke and you like to go out to have lunch or to have a drink somewhere, and eventually, a confession of hard committed feelings arises after a morning of drinking too much and sobering up

he’s open to every new thing—even if you want to open your relationship with the rest of NXX. if you truly trust all of them, he should too—he puts his faith in you

Vyn

in your free time, you volunteer at a beginner’s gardening class offered for children ages 7-10

in order to conduct some study, Vyn observed the children and gave some intervention when you seemed to have a little bit too much trouble

after that, he likes to come in to help from time to time—not even noticing his observations, in fact, were mostly at your gentle smile and lax nature

it kind of slips accidentally, you hear him recording through one of his mics into his personal journal, saying that he has fallen clearly blind to your charms—and wants more of it

after hearing that, he mentioned how everyone else fell in love with you too. and even though struggling to stay silent, he found you hiding and ridden up against the wall

he was open to allowing your relationship to be open after you mentioned that you were poly, he’s quite curious about the nature of polyamory as well from psychological aspects that aren’t necessarily romantic

Artem

work kills him—and sometimes the members’ bickering (between Vyn and Mari) seems to drive his patience down the drain

as his patience goes down the drain, you find a way to calm and reassure his nerves, putting him at peace

he finds comfort in that—after all, it’s not often that he finds a hand to hold or an apologetic and helpful embrace

you need to visit him in the office when you see the door ajar, accidentally hearing how artem has been trying to flirt, but is horribly failing

celestine proceeds to laugh and reassure him that everything will be fine

after you come, you see his cheeks tint red ever so slightly, his gaze darting towards the window nervously

in regards to being poly, you DO have to explain what that means first. artem has never had the time or reason for romance—since you are the first one

he’s willing to try it so long as you’re happy

Actual Dynamics:

for starters, Luke and Artem generally spend a little more time with you—since their schedules are always backed with so much work, their breakdays always happen to be coordinated

your time with them mostly involves a day at home making some food, or taking a walk around town or some festivals

you and Luke generally enjoy teaching Artem more about the local festival myths and culture

it leads Artem to try and make more of an effort to try and create your favorite childhood dishes from description

Artem and Luke are very receptive to your physical contact, when you try to grab their hand or tiptoe/lean down to kiss them on the cheek—they’re both very happy

Marius likes to visit from time to time, giving you random calls like he does with Miss Lawyer as well

Marius and Luke go out to stuff like arcades, and the both of them like to cuddle up with you generally

sitting on the couch with your head in Luke’s lap, while your legs are draped across Marius’ makes ideal affection

you guys often like to watch movies like this, sometimes even falling asleep like this

with Vyn and Artem, the air feels very… refined. in regards to regular mannerisms and ways of affection, Artem and Vyn are quite similar in trying to show affection through their acts of service to you

they both like to spend time with you, and eventually, it leads to a rather pleasant baking session and tea time with Vyn

over your nice tea party, you guys discuss floriography—along with some new botanical areas becoming popular within Stellis

Mari and V (Vyn) is friendly competition—not always trying to one-up each other, but always constantly trying to provide for you while making playful jabs at one another

eventually, it becomes to the point where sometimes Mari escalates it too far, and you have to shut him up, but when you’re with Mari and V, a common thing to do is to make music or paint between all of you

Vyn and Luke are quite entertaining. it’s literally solving more puzzles for fun in the meantime, whether it’s helping you with the morning crossword—or a 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle for the entire afternoon before their shifts

when all of them are together with you, you all like to hang out in Vyn’s backyard, since he has one of the biggest places out of all of you

you guys dance together, learning waltzes and more about flowers or tea, baking, art, and do photography together to help learn each other’s interests more

if you are in need of comfort, they all welcome you with open arms and come towards you, with Luke and Mari offering both their hands as you’re hugging either Artem or Vyn, while the other goes to prepare a glass of water and some chocolate for you afterwards

I love it when the NXX boys bicker with each other cause they're hilarious but is it too much to ask for them to be actually be friends?

I swear if it weren't for the fact they were love rivals for Rosa, they would have been great friends who loves teasing and snarking with each other but ultimately takes care of each other

Like, can you imagine Artem and Vyn teaming up for a case before canon? And they became great friends and often have their work overlap?

Vyn could be Artem's therapist, Artem would direct his clients that needed therapy for Vyn's office, Vyn could contact Artem if one of his patients needed legal advice or when he learns some troubling information about a client that may need legal action so Vyn and Artem would often work together

And then Marius comes in. Vyn is Marius' private tutor and they become friends despite Marius'... personality. And of course Pax is Themis' client so they would know each other and actually get along when they got to know each other well enough to call each other friends

Then NXX came along and Luke being added to the group. All the members are already friends so they naturally invite him to the fold and treat him well even though they just met. And Luke's work would also overlap with their work and they would often work with each other for something

And then there's you in the middle of it just enjoying their company and hey sure they love you romantically but they're not fighting with each other okay they're fucking friends even if they love teasing and bickering with each other and CAN WE JUST HAVE THIS KIND OF RELATIONSHIP IN THE GAME MIHOYO????

I had a dream where all the NXX members were head over heels for me and we had this weird poly relationship thing- idk what to call it

And one day I caught them fighting over something; they were fighting over who would give me a ring with gemstones representing each of their colours (pink, green, orange, purple)

Eventually Artem gave it to me (much to Marius's irritation) and I was so happy I cried and he held me in his lap and let me cry on his shoulder. I definitely did not feel his dick rub against my meow meow.

And they all gave me a kiss turn by turn

I really love the poly headcanons they are so sweet.... (or don't but that's part of it and i think the tot boys+MC deserve all the love the world has to give).

But, liking it or not, our 4 beloved boys are kinda complicated (that's what makes them perfect). Plus I never thought about how people get in poly relationships. So i was thinking, how do you think they all get into a polyrelationship together?

(I really have no idea of how that would happen)

hi, two anons!! im glad you guys liked my nxx team polycule stuff!! i'll answer these in one go, my "headcanon" (in quotes because i think this kinda turned into a character analysis/minific of sorts HAHA) being what first anon asked, How They Get Together.

heads up, wc of this is 1.9k words long so buckle up for a bit of a read jfsjdfkjbf

because first anon, youre right!!! the boys are stupendously complicated which i love so so much but canon has also shown us clearly that each of the boys' quirks and habits and tendencies causes a lot of (mostly played for laughs) friction. the bickering, the backhanded insults, the "im the best one here" preening contests. theyre all SOOOO RIDICULOUS and it is hilarious but yep! the boys r complex!! and that means this beautiful ship, imo, has a lot of phases to get to the actual romantic relationship bit.

how they get together, in my opinion, starts because of mc.

not in the sense that she matchmakes them all, but like.

phase 1 of the nxx team polycule is this:

through being in love with her (which we all know the boys 100% are), each of the boys come to terms with their own flaws and weaknesses. it's very apparent to me in all the story thus far that these boys are flawed as hell, it's very compelling but even more compelling to me is how all of them also do intense mental gymnastics to Not Confront Those Flaws. like, marius is a dickbag always teasing and toeing the line of insincerity, vyn is a controlling mf who always tries to sway situations to his benefit, artem is so repressed to the point that he has genuine trouble with emotions, luke is a self sacrificial bastard and also a huge hypocrite about how no, actually, hes the only one that should be hiding his pain and being dishonest, no dishonesty from other people!! in the beginning of the story, all the boys have their flaws and seem to have just kinda...not addressed how those flaws are harming them and the people around them.

and then mc rolls around and they all fall in love with her. and she sees those flaws and she doesnt let them slide. she challenges the boys in her own ways to see another side of the situation, to acknowledge what theyre doing. she doesnt want to get rid of flaws, thats impossible and also not cool. she just has this beautiful hope for like, all of humanity, that goodness can prevail with the right work. so when she sees her beloved nxx boys, she believes that for them as well.

which leads to phase 2 of the nxx team polycule:

the boys, more aware of themselves, become more aware of each other.

they werent Unaware of the others of course. it's just that they didnt like...truly connect on a personal level just yet. they saw the other teammembers with their emotional armor and flaws and saw a wall that wasnt worth looking past.

but after mc makes them realize that hey, flaws arent the end of the world actually, it's alright and the person behind them may just be worth it, the boys like. end up understanding the others. A LOT OF THIS BIT IS UNINTENTIONAL, ON THEIR PARTS KJDSBFS. like they stumble into understanding each other by accident, they didnt plan it, but over the course of nxx investigations, it's inevitable that they end up seeing the depths of the others. i delve into this a little bit in my fanfic "filler eps of the lost gold" where the boys are just going thru their actions and then trip over another boy's fears or desires and through that, gain a deeper understanding mutually.

and with understanding, sometimes, comes trust.

phase 3 of the nxx team polycule goes like this:

everybody in this team, whether they like it or not, whether they know it or not, has a heart that wants to give love so desperately.

marius lives in a world full of snakes so he cant have his heart on his sleeve for his own protection. vyn wants to be seen as perfect and the heart is inherently messy so he holds it back. artem for a very very long time was focused on work and success and achievement that he neglected his heart. and luke has been giving love all his life in a sense but in a way thats hidden.

all these tendencies that are brought upon their life circumstances results in this: they want to love honestly but they havent been able to do this

until mc. and all of them want to push back whatever fears or patterns their life has instilled in them because they see her and see somebody so unwaveringly good that all their hearts begin giving love to her to make her happy and to make themselves happy as well.

but heres the thing. the boys dont just see mc. by this point, they have connected and understood and come to trust each other as well, and the consequence of that is that They Can See Each Other Now Too, Truly.

and heres the thing. all of the boys are unwaveringly good as well.

one by one, each of the boys realize that what they feel for the other boys in the team starts to...change. yeah theyre all friends, they pick on each other a lot of the time, but the bedrock of the relationship is solid and strong now. but when marius is with luke, marius sees a light inside of luke so bright that he seems unaware that he gives off. when artem is with vyn, artem sees a goodness inside of vyn that hesitates to make itself obvious and known because vyn is scared of getting hurt thanks to it. all of them see the other and their goodness and, unbidden, their hearts want to give love to each other as well.

and because theyre all a bit stupid in their own way theyre like, huh, weird! wonder why this feeling is so familiar! and yet i cant seem to name it...and then they all independently compare these feeling with the feelings they have for mc, a feeling they do know the name of, and theyre like.

WAIT.

THESE FEELINGS ARE...VERY BASICALLY EXACTLY WHAT I FEEL FOR MC.

which only means one thing: theyve fallen in love with everybody else

marius: //goes to his studio to Think and sees that a bunch of his recent art actually had little crumbs of these feelings already, etched into the brushstrokes and scenes. has an emotional crisis about it

vyn: //records a 1 hour long entry in his audio diary to examine and gain control of his feelings but by the end of the hour all he knows is that he wants to hold these people and be held by them

artem: //quite literally just bluescreens, artem.exe has stopped working, sits at his study and slowly, slowly, thunks his head down onto his desk, valiantly trying to ignore the fast pulse of his heart

luke: //manically vents about it to peanut who, by virtue of being a bird, doesnt get it. just keeps talking at peanut to get a grasp of it all and then lies down on the floor, overwhelmed

mc, sitting in her apartment watching some netflix: ...why do i inexplicably feel as if something very, very important has just happened?

phase 4 of the nxx team polycule is basically:

pining: extreme difficulty level

because pining is already hard when ur pining for one person. what more for an additional 3 more people. and those additional 3 more people are pining back.

and all these boys are SOOOO OBVIOUS with their romantic feelings, in their own special way. the way they show their affection to mc starts to bleed into their interactions with the others and everybody can CLEARLY SEE WHAT IS GOING ON, LOL, but also all the boys are too chickenshit to confront it, because if they confront it, what will even happen??? being in love with each other, all of them, thats going to be such a complicated fucking relationship, holy shit. it's 2030, yeah, being a polyamorous group relationship isnt completely unheard of, but sue them, theyre scared.

but mc (who i forgot to mention already knows of the boys' romantic feelings for her, shes just hasnt made a move yet on any of them because SHES IN LOVE WITH ALL OF THEM AS WELL and shes been trying to figure out how the hell to make that work, she cant bear to choose just one of them, she'd be heartbroken over leaving the rest of them behind) sees that the nxx investigation team is now all pining for each other FULLY and she kinda wants to laugh when she realizes whats going on because like, what are the chances? that this would happen? that they all found each other and their feelings fell into just the right place for nobody to be left behind?

theyre all scared, she can tell. and she is as well, she wont lie.

but shes always had a belief that goodness can prevail with the right work.

and love is one of the greatest goods out there.

phase 5 of the nxx team polycule:

It's Time For Communication, Baby!!!!!

the exact scenes of how this happens is a bit vague to me. it could go two ways: mc going to each of the boys independently to talk about feelings, hers about everybodys and his about everybodys as well. OR they have a fucking meeting about it all together and artem literally schedules it in his google calendar, or something.

either way, they like, actually talk about this. starts casual, maybe over a chill date, maybe over dinner at a nice restaurant, maybe over a walk in the park as the sun is starting to set. but where ever it happens, the end result is the same: a heart is laid out bare and it is taken in gentle, grateful hands.

marius: OKAY, NOW THAT THE FEELINGS ARE OUT OF THE WAY, CAN I PLEASE KISS ONE OR ALL OF YOU, PLEASE, IVE BEEN WANTING TO KISS U GUYS FOR FOREVER

vyn, laughing fondly: has anybody ever told you patience is a virtue? we quite literally just talked it all out.

marius: //needy whining noises

artem, embarrassed: ive...never kissed anybody before

luke, embarrassed but trying to play it Cool: ....same here

mc: kissing is great, you two will love it!

marius: awesome, awesome, so is ANYBODY going to give me a go ahead or WHAT????

phase 6 of the nxx team polycule:

i dont want to say it's happily ever after, once they all get together. thats not really realistic.

they all have their quirks and tendencies and habits. and those will inevitable clash against each other. theyll have their arguments, theyll get upset, theyll sulk and be angry, sometimes. but also...

theyll see each other smile and feel like their love shining so brightly. theyll reach out for another's hand and be held in such a way that makes them think that their heart is in a safe place. theyll love each other and theyll put in the work to continue loving each other. because goodness will prevail.

and they all see each other as the most good people in the world.

so whatever happens, theyll get through it together.

Miss.Rona Quarintine/lockdown with Tears of Themis Poly! au

[ Since we are starting to open up stuff here and there let’s look back a disaster last year]

[As usual lol, im not a writer and Eng is not my first language]

It’s start when they saw news about movement restriction at NXX base then they all thought “welp, guess we are stuck here” lies all of them still have a time to go back.

I think NXX base is at Vyn’s house right?(I will check this later) Vyn didn’t complain if he is stuck in his house why not stuck with his lovers.

I headcanon that they sometime just stay overnight at Vyn’s place because of X-note case so there are no problem about clothes tho of them does goes back to fetch some clothes... I mean stuck in house with your lovers?? of course it get sweaty (they are playing ring fit you dirty mind).

Luke is a bit iffy about this because- yeah all of you work from home but i still need to go outside for works and missions.

Luke is whip your honor! A puppy eyes from Marius and MC he give up and agree.

tho he got heavily sanitized before he can set food in house

Grocery! Artem and Mc offered to go buy it but Luke refused because duhhh deadly virus out there! There’s no way im sending sending my lovers to go! but the problem is... I bet Luke is the type that is really hopeless with household stuff he can only cook ramen?

Then Marius take out his black card and said he will handle it

Marius: “You know we have online service right?”

Artem,Luke and MC: “Oh-”

I bet Artem is happy af that he can finally cook complete 3 meals a day for his lovers (You bet some pf them have a habit skipping meals)

Since they are working in the same house it make all of them happy??? usually all of them are busy with each others own work so when you get out of room after tiring meeting and saw your lover cuddling or something aaah instant energy and sanity replenish

Luke: “Well since we are stuck here I’m gonna make all of you a cultured people”

They proceed to binge watch Sherlock Holmes

Don’t worry! Luke go back to his house to take Peanut with him!

Peanut have blast staying at Vyn’s place since Vyn Have a garden.

When Vyn tending his garden, Peanut will come and watch.
