i think we should remind musicians they can absolutely make up little stories for their songs btw. it doesn’t have to be about them at all. you can invent a guy and put him in situations to music. time honoured tradition in fact.

Ahmed Saad, a Palestinian man who had to jump through an insane amount of loops to get the funds necessary for escaping Gaza, is asking us all to donate to his friend’s family fund.

Mohamed is a hemophilia patient who needs access to medicine and to do surgery on his knees, his 11-year-old daughter also needs thigh surgery (she was supposed to do it outside Gaza in November but couldn't travel due to the border issues). Mohammed’s condition is worsening rapidly and, with Israel destroying the last functional hospital in Gaza, things are looking dire.

btw. your search for the most morally upright and ethical piece of media that has the most correct “representation” will destroy your ability to find the most profound and beautiful and human of stories. and may even destroy the stories themselves before they are created. if you even care.

#the search for the Ideal Representation is both unattainable and soul-crushing. childrens cartoons moral codes are not #the best way to judge a piece of media #and the stories created by the very people in the communities that are most silenced are always the first ones to be #targeted for their Problematic Factors #as if any story can properly encapsulate the breadth of every complex human experience in one go #something isn't inherently deserving of being reduced to Irredeemable Media status just because you cannot personally relate to it #on the other hand approaching every single story as if its only value is its Shipping Status and how you can #incorporate it into your identity (and stake your Moral Uprightness based on how Ethically you consume said media)#is not necessarily any better. but different post is needed.#aughhhh bite bite chomp kill

Is this a normal feeling for shifters? Does this happen to us often or is it only me? I can feel my self-doubt coming back again.

I went out today with a family member of mine and we were hiking together in the woods on trails. I was expecting to feel my wolf instincts and all again. I can’t be myself around her as she is human.

In the beginning I only had 3 minor mental shifts and an at home feeling but that was it. It was rather short. I began to feel human-like after, and it just stayed that way the entire time. I feel out of touch with my wolf side and my nonhumanity and even questioned what was wrong with me. I know it’s still there no matter how dim, however, this is kind of like a slap in the face. I know for me even if I’m in nature, I don’t always feel my wolf side? For whatever reason. I wish I knew why.

I made some progress with my wolf side and shifting this past month. Maybe I’ve been around humans for too long and the cities/towns I’ve lived in has made me out of sync.. majorly? I don’t know now. 🤷‍♀️

Help?

It happens! Shifters have an ability to "become human" for a bit, something I and others have noticed that differentiates shifters from a lot of other groups. It seems to be kind of like a safety mechanism to avoid standing out among humans. Personally, I know I can bounce between being human and being nonhuman depending on the circumstances, sometimes at will and sometimes by accident. It seems to be a trait of shifters.

It could be that since you couldn't be yourself fully around your family member, you weren't able to fully mental shift and felt a subconscious need to remain partially human? But it does happen, and you're not abnormal for experiencing it.

My art got stolen, edited and used for commercial purposes

This store claims to be "official" Grian merch shop and oH BOI they are clearly not. The amount of stolen art on this store is simply owherwhelming. This is just an example.

They took my art, made 5 designs and slapped it on everything they could mass produce, resulting in more than 55 merchandise pieces with art they have no right on. And I am not even counting Grian Official (like TRUE OFFICIAL) mech, and some other artist I don't know, but clearly they haven't given their consent to this. Examples below.
