So this poll from @pollsnatural asked if Supernatural was the most toxic fandom people have been in, and the vast majority of folks said no, so now - based on some fandoms in the replies of that post - I'm curious...
Runners up from the linked poll include Teen Wolf, MCU, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Once Upon a Time, sports RPF, Minecraft YouTube, Dragon Age, Mo Dao Zu Shi, One Direction, a bunch of others, and a few abbreviations I'm not familiar with lmao.
I'm guessing "other" will win this poll - tell me which in the tags! I'm curious if there's any Really Big One I should have included (probably MCU...it was hard to juggle "size/popularity of fandom" with "relative toxicity" like if a fandom is huge it's usually just more toxic in general cause there are the same number of weirdos per capita but way more people overall, ya know?)
anyway. yes. poll. do the thing.

Welcome to Mommyclan! Here's a masterpost for any questions
Tumblr media
Hi! I am @girltigerclaw and @mommyclaws , owner of Mommyclan!
-
Q: What is Mommyclan?
Mommyclan started out with this post on my art blog, @/mommyclaws ! It was initially a semi-joke but it got popular and lots of people started making ocs! It's now a collaborative community fanclan!
Q: Can I join Mommyclan? How many characters are allowed?
Anyone can join Mommyclan!
Only 1 oc per person please! The absolute max is 2. If you add more than 2, your 3rd oc will not be counted or included in any Mommyclan activities or art by me. This is to avoid over crowding.
Q: How do I join Mommyclan
Make a post with your character and tag THIS blog, (not @/mommyCLAWS !) If you do not tag me, I might not see it! You can also submit your character via asks.
You can DM (or ask) me any questions, but please do not submit your character in dms!
Q: Can I join Mommyclan if I can't draw?
Answer here
Q: Is there a deadline to join?
There is no deadline or member limit. You can join at anytime :]
Q: Is my OC in Mommyclan?
Find out!
Q: Who is the "leader" of Mommyclan? Can I make a leader or deputy?
Answer
Q: Is there an official alligiences list of all Mommyclan cats?
Not yet.
Q: What is Mommyclan lore?
Wait and see....! 😈
At the moment, the biggest lore device was a funny idea by @/irldragonart that there used to be one giant clan, MarriageClan, but they got divorced and are now Daddyclan and Mommyclan.
A joke based on how a majority of Mommyclan cats seem to have a divorce history despite this not being planned before hand at all, so all of their exes are said to be in Daddyclan😭
[Helpful tags:]
Mommyclan q&a : See if I have already answered a question you have!
Mommycanon : All lore posts will be under this tag
Mommyclan activity : Check out what everyone's doing atm or reblog and answer questions about your oc!
-
Fanart : Art that everyone has made!
Mommyclanner : Every accepted cat in the clan will be under this tag
If you have anymore questions, shoot me an ask or dm!
Last of all thank you everyone!! Mommyclan has grown and created alittle community for itself because of YOU GUYS and I am very happy that I have gotten the chance to host and organize something like this. I love all of your OCs, silly jokes, and art! <3

Do you think the polls are inherently biased, because the well-known characters will be shared more wheras the unknown characters might never even reach their bubble where they are actually known by a lot of people?
Short answer is no.
Long answer is: well, if we want to be pedantic, an argument could be made that no method of collecting data via surveys, even self-administered surveys, is completely free of bias because that's just human nature and all you can do is minimize it by wording questions neutrally, trimming outliers, etc etc. With that out of the way, one very important thing to note here is that this isn't an opinion survey. The question being asked is very straightforward and the answer is not something that can be swayed or influenced by peer pressure, propaganda, unwillingness to disclose private information, or any other factors, be they internal or external. You either know a character or you don't. I mean, people could certainly lie, in either direction, but 1) why would you do that?? it's not even like we have winners or losers here, and 2) there's nothing I can do about it anyway.
Now, when it comes to sampling bias (which, from what I understand, is what you're actually asking about) my answer is still no, I don't think that's accurate. Popular characters will reach more people and get more votes overall precisely because they're more popular. If this were a tournament style blog or if I were asking your opinion on the character in question, then yes, I could definitely see how more well-known characters would be at an unfair advantage (or how tagging the polls with the character's name is encouraging that bias, as it's been suggested before), but this is not that! Well-known characters reaching their bubbles faster/more efficiently than obscure characters is an inherent part of being more popular. Everything is working as intended.
All that being said, there are a few factors which I think could influence results somewhat unfairly, but I wouldn't necessarily call them bias. They're more like limitations of the medium.
Firstly, the time and day of the week when a poll is published. I don't have access to this kind of data right now, but off the top of my head, I'd say Sundays around 10pm is when Tumblr users are most active. That, coupled with the fact that most users are from the United States, means that polls that come out of the queue on US Sundays during that time window have a chance to reach more people than all the others. However, this potential problem is organically circumvented by people going back to see previously posted polls, finding polls through reblogs or from tag searches, etc. So it's not really a significant difference. I haven't noticed the numbers reflecting this yet either, but in theory that's how social media works, so I thought it was worth pointing out.
Secondly, polls that were posted early on when the blog had fewer followers reached less people, on average, than polls being posted at the moment or that will be posted in the future. No argument there, that's just a fact. But, again, this is a limitation of the medium. Potentially, I could repost older polls at some point in the future and reassess characters' popularity, but how do I choose which ones? All of them? Wouldn't we just get stuck in a loop of reposting the same characters over and over then? That'd be no fun. So I don't really think there's anything to be done here, unfortunately.
Thirdly, meme-able characters will be see better engagement and consequently higher numbers of votes. Point in case, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Once again, not something that can be helped, not really. I do my best to maintain uniformity in how I format the polls and which pictures I choose (as high quality as I can find, cropped adequately, consistent size, etc.). But some characters will just have better chances of being shared around by virtue of featuring in memes or having some recognizable line or something like that.
To sum it up, overall I don't think there's an inherent bias in how the polls work at the moment. I do think there are certain factors that could marginally influence voting numbers, but not the votes themselves. (Which is why I've decided to compile two separate lists, by number of votes and by percentage-- they measure slightly different things, but that's a post for another day.) As long as every follower of this blog is delivered every poll to their dash and everyone pinky promises not to lie and screw up my numbers on purpose, then I'd say we're golden.
This is probably more than you asked for lol, but hopefully it all makes sense. And as always, feel free to share your opinion. I'm always happy to hear it!

unhelpful tips and resources for gifs&gfxs
Hi everyone, I don’t know how useful this post will be but I wanted to share some of the things I learned through the years of creating content for tumblr and also new information I find every now and then. I see lot of new people who start creating content here and I want to help with what I know.
Note: I won’t upload any tutorial of mine or anything because I believe the resources I will link here will be more useful than just a tutorial that I won’t be able to explain well because English is not my first language. Let’s start!
First of all, few words about tumblr and how it works. Tumblr is a site with many communities. Every user has its own blog that can post many kinds of content, including a text, photo, video, audio, art etc. When you first join the site it might be overwhelming but in reality, it is not (*whispers* I personally find instagram harder to understand how it works).
Like every site tumblr has its own search bar, tags, likes, reblogs(share on fb,rt on twitter),and follows. When you search a blog to follow and you see their posts you can like their post by tapping on the heart and share(reblog) by clicking on the two arrows button that looks like the recycle icon.
What does reblog mean and do?
Reblog is as we said the “share the post” of facebook, with reblog you don’t repost someone’s content but you share it with your followers and help it to be seen bymore people that way you actually help the creator to promote their creations.
Likes
Unlike, instagram, twitter and facebook, when you like something the website doesn’t recommend the post to your followers unless they go to your blog via their phone and go to your likes page, if you have it unlocked, so basically, likes don’t help with supporting creators as much as reblog does.
Tags
Tagging system on tumblr, in my opinion, is pretty fun both for the op of a post and for the reblogger. With tagging you can organize all the posts on your blog by anything you like. For example, if you tag artworks as #art and you want to find a certain artwork you reblogged a time ago you can just go to the tag and find it.
For op you can use tags the same way as other sites to promote your work, as I remember the first 5 tags will be shown on the general tag like if you search on tumblr #artwork and you have the tag #artwork on the first 5 it will be shown there.. but I am not sure if this changed.
Creating a post
As you can see from your dashboard(timeline on twitter) you have the option to create a text form post, a photo form post.. etc. You can experiment with all of these, don’t be afraid. I will focus on photo form posts because we will talk about gifs and gfxs.
The photo form(with the camera icon) post, is what most content creators use to post their creations like designs/graphics,art/fanart/photography, and gifs.
The site allows you to post 10 photos(if you want to post more I think Text form allows more).
The size of your photos and gifs must be under 20mb for photos and under 10mb for gifs.
As for dimension, tumblr has its own dimension but you can always post whichever you want, the bad thing is that the quality will be reduced on the dashboard and the viewer will have to click on every single photo in order to see the original quality. Here are the dimensions:
For a single photo/gif per columna it is 540px horizonatally
For 2 photos/gifs per columna it is 268px x 268px
For 3 photos/gifs per columna it is 177px x 178px x 177px (be careful the middle one always has to be 178px)
Themes
When you feel comfortable with using tumblr, you can customize your blog with beautiful themes that talented people have shared here!
You can find and learn about themes here: @/theme-hunter
Gifs/gfxs
In this part, I will provide links and tutorials for gifs and graphics, But first of all you need a program for content creation. The most common one is Photoshop, you can buy a subscription from Adobe(it is expensive) or you can find crack version on the internet.
Chaoticresource has a whole tag for photoshop and many more programs for you to start with photoshop. Not only that they have a whole list of resources for both giffing and graphic making. You can find their tag list with everything you need to here.
Here are some tutorials on how to make a gif

Tutorial by: unbrokencolorings
Tutorial by: josefnewgayden (also has many resources)
Tutorial by: dunkzilladaddy

hi! I’m an artist who would like to do commissions for Palestine, but I don’t really have an art account/social media presence. as someone who has done commissions for Palestine, do you think there’s a way that I could do something similar, or another way that I could contribute my art for the cause? thanks for your time 🙏
hello! i think i can only advise you keep a look out for people hosting artists for palestine events and joining a team as an artist. on twitter/tumblr, you could search using phrases/tags such as “artists for palestine” “art exchange for palestine” along those lines.
currently, there’s these two i know of who may be accepting artists, i’d recommend you reach out to them via DMs! there’s cartoonist cooperative and sitcomabed’s organized event, both on twitter.
there’s also fandom organized ones so if you dig in the fandom tags, you might come across organized events recruiting artists to do commissions for donations. i don’t think these are currently recruiting, but examples i can find right now of these organized events are Fire Emblem rally for Gaza, Star Wars artists for Palestine, and Grishaverse Artists for Palestine.
if you’re comfortable with the idea, i think trying to host your own and try to invite friends/artists to join might be ideal! i haven’t checked discord art servers yet but if there are servers that allow for planning events like this, i think that could be a good way to gather artists if not by DMing artists on social media.
doing your own commissions for donations is still completely viable!! make sure you know your own limits though and keep a careful track of finances however way you can. i used spreadsheets to keep track of every donation and the processing fees from paypal + stripe if you intend to have an option for indirect donation. it’d be best to focus on 1-3 charities such as for care for gaza, e-sims, pious projects, pcrf, and evacuation funds gofundmes from those in palestine that need to leave. doing it on your own is not difficult, just make sure you’re transparent with your progress and stay organized.
if you ever need a reblog/retweet/share anywhere, dm me the link! i’ll be more than happy to share and hopefully give you a bigger reach! that was my first time hosting something like that, so i can’t say my advice is the best either but if you have more questions on how to host your own, my dms are open for that as well.
hope this all helped in some way, good luck!!

Tumblr Tips for the Twitter Migrant
Hey friends, as a long-time tumblr user who never left, allow me to offer a few tips to make your lives a little bit easier. This is targeted at the twitter community who moved here from the TTRPG community and are looking to run more “formal” blogs.
1. Use your tags!
It’s gonna make your own life ultimately easier. Yes, tumblr’s search functions are questionable, but you can generally rely on being able to find stuff via tag on your blog.
Reblogs do not show up in site-wide searches. So, if you tag a reblog as “pokemon,” it doesn’t show up in the site-wide pokemon tag. Not even if you added something in your reblog. But it will show up on your /tagged/pokemon. This is basically the best way for both you and your followers to be able to find and sort through your own stuff. So if a follower wants to find a specific post of yours, they can go to YourBlog/tagged/my stuff. And followers browsing your blog is pretty normal here—it is a blog, after all. Don’t be weirded out if someone suddenly likes your post from 8 months ago.
And for that matter, most people here also use tags for commentary. It’s generally less obtrusive than adding commentary to a reblog, so you can add some thoughts without necessarily interjecting - the OP doesn’t get any special notification unlike they do with replies or reblogs with text additions. It’s a little spice just for your followers. (Just be aware that they are visible in the notes.)
As a general rule of thumb, you shouldn’t use dashes in your tags (links get confused), but spaces are safe.
2. Reblog (& Reply Culture).
So unlike with twitter, replying to something doesn’t put it on your followers feeds. (In fact, your followers can’t even see your replies unless they actively interact with the post itself.) Your likes aren’t necessarily public. (They are, by default, but only if your followers have certain settings enabled will they be able to see posts you like on their dashboard.) Basically, if you have a post you want someone to see: reblog it.
Replies are mainly for quick comments. It’s a pain to hold a discussion in the replies, so it’s mainly just for a quick “this is a neat take” kind of comment. Responding by reblogging + adding commentary in the post is how discussion actually happens. That’s the equivalent of actually replying on twitter. Tag commentary is for informal thoughts that aren’t necessarily inviting active discussion. It’s the spot for anecdotes or funny commentary that whoever posted it doesn’t necessarily need to have put directly in their activity feed.
3. Use the Readmore
Unlike Twitter where nuance goes to die, you may have noticed there’s no such thing as character limits here. Tumblr does automatically cut long posts unless you change your settings, but it’s generally still considered courteous to put a readmore. This little button here (also ctrl + shift + k).
Tumblr media
It’ll prevent people browsing your blog from having to scroll through a huge wall of text unless they actively want to. It’s a good way to keep things organized. I’m breaking my own rule here for the sake of accessibility, but in most other cases, if you’re doing a long thread-type post, you should usually cut it to be courteous. Especially if it’s image-heavy.
4. Post Types (Photo vs. Text Post)
Most of us are probably gonna be using image posts and text posts. You can put images in text posts, yes, but generally speaking, you shouldn’t. At least not large images. If you have multiple large images (like covers, for example,) a good rule of thumb is to put them all in one image post. It’s also more eye-catching when the pretty picture is at the top. This isn’t a hard rule by any means, but generally speaking, it should usually be either that or one flashy image at the top and a readmore to spare your browser.

Fandom: The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Rating: G Words: 1.9K~ Summary: heart•song (n.): An expression of our most inner being, identity, and reason for existence – what twists and turns of life have led us here, to this dangerous place? And by what strength do we keep enduring? - Or: For a sage to give one their vow, first there must be vulnerability. (A collection of shorts exploring the bond between each sage and Link.)
Yunobo is my OTHER little scrunkly rock boy ;w;
If you enjoy, I’d heartily appreciate your support via reblogs here and/or comments/kudos on AO3! Thanks
____
The blunt reality of the sweltering, hellish place he finds himself in this afternoon still brings him pause.
A volcano.
He— Yunobo— jumped straight into the actively erupting maw of a freakin’ volcano. What in Darunia’s cliff-splitting name was he thinking, goro?
It’s not that he doubts he can handle whatever Death Mountain can throw at him— he’s been really practicing with his swings lately, and of course the fiery roll attack he developed will be a huge boon to their offensive arsenal— it’s that he took the leap without sparing even a single thought towards all the potential consequences first. The old him… the cowering but practical him… wouldn’t be caught half molten making such impulsive decisions. The old him would’ve waited on the rim, would’ve watched Link paraglide down into the Depths with a solid wall of anxiety clawing at his core, chained to the surface by the fears of his own timidity and inexperience. Yet somehow, this time, not a single one of those thoughts even briefly skimmed across his consciousness. Instead all he could think about were the faces of his fellow brothers. His people’s plight… hijacked by their bottomless craving for marbled rock roast, wholly uncaring of all the pressing needs of their youth and elders. Oh, this is a mess, all right… and one that his own foolishness caused.
So this time, with the wellbeing of his city at stake, not only did he take the leap; he leapt first.
And isn’t that what courage is supposed to be? Shouldn’t this be a good change? It probably is, but if so, then… why does he still feel so icky inside?
Yunobo continues to pace across the course sands scattered in concentric circles beneath the lightroot his companion activated just now. He wishes he could find it within him to relax like Link is— sitting cross legged under the root’s regenerating aura as he works to tighten one of the strings on his bow— but instead his mind keeps returning to that damn mask… to the glamor he escaped from under the thumb of only hours ago. At this point, he can barely remember anything from his time under its sway. But with the way young Slergo and Offrack looked to him with such worried relief when he came to, and what little context he gleaned from them and his Hylian friend… plus the distant glimpse he caught of his city while riding up the side of the mountain… things must have been bad. Really, really bad.
Out of nervous habit, he grinds his molars together unnecessarily hard as he continues to chew over this puzzling quandary. How could he let any of this happen? He genuinely thought he was becoming a better leader. A positive role model actually worthy of all the affection and encouragement his two little tagalongs constantly supply. Maybe, though, he hasn’t grown as much as he hoped. Maybe he’s always destined to be a bumbling screw-up. Maybe he’s—
“Yunobo.”
His friend’s voice cuts through all the murk and mire like it’s little more than the thin, newly hardened crust of a cooling lava flow. Humming in idle curiosity and ceasing his paces, his attention snaps towards the Hylian’s face.
“What’s eating at you?” Link manages to coherently sign through the thick glove of his volcano-proof armor, his expression blown wide with palpable concern. His weapon lays momentarily forgotten at his side.
“I—“ he scratches at one of the patches of hardened stone jutting out form the back of his neck— “I guess I’m just thinking about what I can’t remember. Which… means I’m thinking about nothing? Or everything. Gah, I don’t know. It’s… all so confusing.”
Heaving a large sigh, he finally resolves to park himself on the ground. Just for a few minutes. Just until Link’s had enough time to recover from that last camp of lizalfos they had to take care of and fix his bow.
“But if you really wanna know,” he continues, “then I guess what’s actually bothering me is just… that mask. And the fact it could control me like that so easily. Am I…” he pauses, his brows scrunching inwards amidst the thick coils of shame he suddenly feels brimming within, “really that weak-willed, goro?”
“You were tricked,” Link responds in a few swift motions, his expression softening with empathy. “Your agency was stolen from you. That’s never the victim’s fault.”
“But I shouldn’t have been a victim in the first place!” Yunobo blurts out, throwing his arms in the air. “I’m Daruk’s descendant, so everyone’s always counting on me to be the strong one, and I—“
His voice cuts.
There’s a thousand clamorous words piling up behind the face of all this self-directed anger, but no easy way to vent them out. No way to truly make sense of them all unless he digs deep within himself and starts asking the big questions:
What is he really ashamed about?
He sinks into himself, his volume dropping lower. Meeker.
“…and I just hate always feeling so helpless,” he admits, truly feeling the weight of such a statement as he droops his head low. “My brothers need me right now, and I’ve been letting them down. I’ve been letting them down for a really long time…”
Link purses his lips, thinking for a moment.
“Do you wanna know something?” he eventually signs.
“Yeah, goro?”
“Even I feel helpless at times.”
“Wha— really? You??” Yunobo says, his tone unbelieving. “But you’re Link! You’re the hero of all of Hyrule! You never give up for anything!”
He shrugs. “Trying your best to do the right thing doesn’t mean you never feel helpless.”
“Huh. That’s… actually a good point.”
“When I…” his friend inhales deeply, taking a quick moment to center himself before continuing. “When I lost Zelda, and lost my sword, and woke up alone in the sky, it was hard to not feel that way. But—“ he gazes out towards the vast ruins looming in the distance, nestled against the side of a cliff beyond a cluster of bokoblin encampments and a rather majestic lava fall— “life moves on. Sometimes all we can do is move on. Our enemy is powerful— ungodly powerful. So how is it fair to blame ourselves for falling victim to its influence? How is it fair to assume we need to fight this alone, when the enemy is backed up by an entire army of monsters?“
The faint glimmer of fire in the ruins up ahead easily draws his attention as he churns over what Link is saying. This forgotten fortress— forged of igneous stone that looks to have been mined directly out of the heart of Death Mountain herself— is unquestionably of Goron make, and unquestionably ancient. And given its locality, resting this far beneath the familiar slopes of Eldin, the only historic setting he can possibly connect with it is—
Gorondia.
It has to be.
Even thinking the name fills his soul with a swell of unspeakable awe, like a succulent bite of half molten rock roast warming his body from the inside out.
It’s the lost city of an era long past. The crown jewel of endless centuries of Goron artistry. A place so steeped in legend that it was only ever mentioned in the context of make-believe and fairytales. And yet he managed to find it anyways! Him! Cowardly ol’ him! Despite all the odds stacked against this quest (a two person quest all the way through, far different than last time), Yunobo succeeded where generations of Goron scholars failed, and he wasn’t even trying to unearth old history. All he wanted to do was make up for the damage he caused, but then— following in Link’s courageous footsteps— one thing led to another, and now they’ve fought their way through all the terrors of the depths right to Gorondia’s doorstep, vying to liberate his people from gloom’s control altogether. It really goes to show just how much one can accomplish with a friend by their side.
Link, for the record, seems to agree.
“This war is not one man’s fight, and I’m done with pretending otherwise,” he continues, briefly pausing as he uses his hands to push himself back up to his feet. “It’s teamwork and goodwill between regions that aided me in ending the Calamity, and it’s that same kind of companionship that will save us now. I helped you, and now you’ll help me, and if we work together with the rest of Hyrule, I truly believe we can stop this calamity too.”
He clasps his hands together, large rocky nails scraping along his inner palm.
“I… I think that’s the most words I’ve ever seen you say at once, goro,” he says with a soft chuckle. “You’re really passionate about this, aren’t you?”
Link bobs his head in an affirmative.
“Well—“ he picks himself off the ground and trundles to his feet as well— “even if I do still feel out of place, it’s pretty amazing that we’ve made it this far, huh?”
The barest corner of his mouth tilts upwards. “I couldn’t have made it here without your support.”
“And I still would’ve been dealing marbled rock roast to all my brothers if it weren’t for you showing up! I guess we have a lot to thank each other for, huh?”
A rush of emboldened warmth surging all the way from his dense, molten heart to his furthest extremities, Yunobo glances at the road behind, at the winding path they took from the chasm’s opening all the way up to this very lightroot at the highest rim of Death Mountain’s lake. Link’s right. It truly is a wonder, how far they’ve journeyed together. Companionship… all the connections he’s nurtured with folks of all shapes and sizes these past few years… they’ve forged him into the dependable, occasionally courageous (he’s still working on that) Goron he is today. Connection makes them all stronger. Knowing Link has made him stronger. Not too long ago, back when he still hid idly behind his ancestor’s protection, he wouldn’t have been caught dead leaping into the maw of a volcano, let alone working to infiltrate a whole ancient Goron city overflowing with monsters.
But things have changed. He’s changed. He doesn’t need Daruk to shield him anymore, because he’s got his own fire stirring within. That fire is what drove him towards a position of leadership in his city, and— in both a figurative and a literal sense— it’s what’s led him here into the deepest caverns of the Depths today.
So he can’t let himself give up after coming so far, no how, no way! His brothers need him right now. And he needs them. His fault or not, his earlier influence tipped his home into complete disarray, but by Din’s eternal light he swears he’ll be the one to fix it.
Together… hand in hand with his most loyal friend.
Freeing the remainder of his stressors within a deep, sonorous sigh, he bends down to grab the leather wrapped hilt of his most cherished weapon, a Boulder Breaker Link himself passed on to him that used to belong to the great Daruk.
“I’m ready when you are, goro,” he says, hefting the sledge over his shoulder and clenching his opposing palm into an assured fist.
He’ll see this quest through to the end this time, he swears it.

happy pride month! this june I’ll be doing icon commissions for pay-what-you-can through ko-fi, with all profits donated to Rainbow Railroad!
Rainbow Railroad is a global not-for-profit organization that helps LGBTQI+ people facing persecution based on their sexual orientation, gender identity and sex characteristics escape systemic and state-sponsored violence and find safety through emergency relocation and other forms of assistance. [more information available on their website, linked here].
icon commission details:
icons will be stylized single character busts with solid and/or pride flag backgrounds, and can be of real people, characters, or OCs (ask about props and accessories! / as with any other commission, I may turn certain requests. see my commissions page for further details [link])
$5-15 is recommended (but don’t feel pressured to donate more than you’re able, less or more than that range is okay!)
payment is received through ko-fi will be pooled and donated to Rainbow Railroad at the end of the month via canadahelps.org [linked here], and I am happy to provide donation breakdowns and receipts to those who request them!
I will also do icons for anyone who prefers to donate directly to Rainbow Railroad if you’re willing to share the donation receipt!
dm if interested (you can forego my commission request form for these icon commissions!)
I encourage checking out Rainbow Railroad and donating if you can regardless of my commissions, and if you live in/are celebrating pride month in canada and/or are able to, consider also supporting the following Indigenous non-profits:

I hope it’s not too much to ask, but could you add the name of the OCs you draw in your posts? Sometimes, I’ll be looking for a character on your blog and I don’t find all of the art you post of them. You don’t have to. It’s just a suggestion. Thanks for acknowledging this!
I've never really bothered because all of everyone's art is publicly organized on Toyhouse, but it'd probably be best to tag them here too lol,,
So anyway I spent days tagging everybody so you can now search my blog by name! Each tag is firstname emojiemojiemoji [pro/nouns] but is searchable just by first name so dont worry! I just added the extra stuff to differentiate between characters with the same name, and characters with simple names with 1 or 2 letters from getting lost in search!
I am not going to link everypony here because like,,, thats WAYY too many tags, but heres a few popular characters I think people would want links to lol
Silly 💖🌈💫[They/She/He/Star]
Space 💖💫🌌 [He/They]
Felix 🍁🐾🍂 [He/Him]
Yuzuru 🌈⭐️❤️‍🔥 [He/They]
Lyra 🧶💖🎨 [She/Her]
Wishful☁️🐶✨ [He/Him]
Starbit 👾🌌💫 [He/They]
Theres definitely LOTS of mistakes I made-- I think half of the mass icons posts are mistagged in someway (missing tags, characters tagged twice via initial post + reblogs, etc) buuuuut I dont care. This tagging method is never going to be perfect, but if you want carefully curated art galleries toyhouse is literally right there lmao,, but hopefully this is an alright-enough alternative!
I'll try to keep up tagging everything new also! I already did the last couple posts while I was still busy tagging everything so if u noticed the new tags this is what those were for!

Welcome New Turtle Friends 👋🏻💛.
Tumblr media
There have been a lot of turtles coming here from Twitter and other platforms, and since most of you will not really be familiar with me or my blog I thought I would give you some information that might be helpful and serve as a bit of an introduction.
I have been a turtle for a few years now. You can read a little bit about my turtle journey here.
I am autistic, so some of the ways I communicate might not be what you're used to. Please be patient with me. I'm human and doing my best to connect with everyone in a positive way.
I believe BJYXSZD, and like most turtles I enjoy some mixture of candy, fan works, and GG and DD's projects and endorsements. I'm also particularly interested in the political and 'queer issues' side of things, which some people are not comfortable with.
I tag absolutely everything that I post, to make it easy for people to filter out things they do not want to see. Here are a few tags that might be of interest to those who want to avoid certain topics:
'your political disengagement is a weapon against you' - political topics
'let's talk about sex' - mature sexual topics
'off topic' - posts that have nothing to do with GG and DD or with queer issues (the main topics of my blog)
'fandom reflections' - fandom issues and self-examination
'antis go home' - haters and antis
'solos belong to moling su sect' - solo topics
'i'll take homophobia for 800 alex!' - posts about homophobia
Please let me know if there is any particular kind of content that you would like to see more specific filtering around. I'm always happy to add in a new tag if it will enhance someone's experience of Tumblr and of my blog.
There are some posts that might be of particular interest:
My masterlist post - links to some of my past posts, somewhat organized around various categories
GGDD fic recs
Wangxian fic recs
Fandom survival guide
There are also tags that might be of particular interest. That list can be found toward the bottom of my masterlist post. Note: most of my posts are not tagged with typical fandom tags (bjyx, yizhan, etc.). That's just to ensure that those tags aren't overrun by topics that aren't of general interest to all fans.
Please feel free to connect with me via comments/reblogs on my posts, via private message, or through my ask box if you have a question or if you prefer to remain anonymous.
New people can bring new challenges and change. Such things can sometimes require adjustment and adaptation, so I hope that people will be patient with me and speak openly (gently) with me if there's anything they have concerns or questions about.
Throughout this time, I hope we can get along and support each other. Let's try to be kind. We are all living in very difficult times, and many of us are at vulnerable and/or emotional places in our lives. Conflict, hate, and personal attacks are something nobody needs. Please yell into your pillow, throw some plastic bottles against a wall, or go for a jog rather than ever raise a hateful or angry word toward anyone, including me.
I hope that we can be friends, but if for some reason there is an incompatibility between us or you find me or my blog not to your taste, please feel free to unfollow me or even block me. We all must curate our own fandom experience.
I'm looking forward to getting to know some new people and hopefully see some new life injected into the fandom here! Thanks for your interest in my blog. 😊

Im very grateful to see the art that you share ,i think you talked about making a neocities i honestly think thats the ideal option at this point, there doesnt seem to be a way to not be negatively affected when posting art on socialmedia.....
Thank you for talking about art and sharing what you make its impactful and feels like a reminder to me i am really happy to see it...... I don't know if you have a neocities blog or not right now but if you do i would love to see it..
Have a lovely day regardless take care Stay safe 💗🌱☀️
A little about this while I feel like writing something. Many alt web people probably know about Yesterweb closing recently and on Sadness' main website in her new manifesto she makes a very good point: because of its social features (followers and following back, which is prominently displayed on profile + view counter which is shoved in your face even on dashboard screen); neocities is pretty much social media too. now luckily anyone with basic css knowledge can either find or make a user end script to hide all of that shit (in fact mothershipreconnection made one that i will link to this post later in a reblog); but it should still be considered about what kind of thinking is going into the ethics behind something like neocities with those types of features. is it an improvement over other options? yes. do I think it is a definitive answer to the crisis artists and creatives are currently facing in net space? no. and unfortunately im not the person with a magic answer. in fact before January this yr i couldnt code even the simplest webpage. but if i have gotten anything out of my LEARNING to code (i have gotten many things from it actually) it would be the awareness that anyone can make progress into new creative/ethics territory w their art just by thinking on these issues and having a basic application skillset its tricky because i dont necessarily think gemini protocol is the right answer either. its easy in theory to say that tearing down the framework and making a new one is the most direct solution but realistically outside of country-locked net space we are probably on THIS web for the foreseeable future. the other thing that stood out to me from the yesterweb debacle however was the concept that people operating under a directive are always going to be more effective at creating counterculture then people who see movements as badges of honor or something. i think that progress against the current dilution and domination of the web + creatives can be counteracted but it will take individual organization and action and small but concrete ethos/pathos.. if anyone has more thoughts on this please submit them via an ask id love to talk about it but i dont check tags or notifs i only check the asks

List 5 things that make you happy, then put this in the askbox for the last 10 people who reblogged something from you! get to know your mutuals and followers :D
The incredible organization that I work for. We're a very small thing doing important things, but I won't name it so people can't find me. But the all the people I get to work with via that organization make me feel incredibly lucky for the opprutunity
My partner ❤️
The marimba, especially now that I'm no longer a music major and can really just do what I want with it
Just knowing that I've gotten to the point in my life where I have a lot of really cool adult-y things coming around the corner that I'm really, really excited for (ex. getting married, getting our own place, etc).
My fraternity. I don't know what I'd do without my sisters 🌹

Tips for fanfiction writers: boosting reader responsiveness
(Writers and readers, please add on!)
We've all seen plenty of posts about how writers often don't see the response from readers/followers that we hope for. We've all been there. And for newer writers especially, a lack of response can be very discouraging. What are some ways we can encourage people to come read and respond?
Ask for reviews. It's totally okay to have an author's note asking for people to review (or reblog, etc.). It's even okay to say how important/motivating reviews are to you, as long as you're not pressuring readers via guilt trips or threats. Just as you're writing for free, readers aren't obligated to give any response, so express your gratitude for reviews often.
Ask for specific feedback. Some readers simply don't know what to say. Give them some ideas:
-What do you think will happen next?
-What do you think of [new plot development]?
-What do you love most about [character]?
-Ask for constructive criticism if you truly want it, and be specific: Does this character's voice sound right? How is my pacing?
If you're open to a little audience participation, have fun with polls. Examples:
-Whose POV would you like the next chapter to be in?
-What's a scene or scenario you'd like to see in this fic/collection?
Make sure people see your work. Often. Post your fic updates on social media and reblog each announcement a couple of times, and then again a few days later. Readers live in different time zones, might only be online on certain days, etc. Think about how to make these posts eye-catching: experiment with text/titles, images, teaser quotes, brief summaries, etc. Make separate posts later on with just a teaser quote or one heart-wrenching paragraph (include a link to the fic itself). Link to certain fics/chapters in your regular headcanon posts. Make bonus content for your fics: art, playlists, moodboards, etc. In short, market your fic.
Watch your word count. Write the kinds of chapters you want, but be aware that many people won't stick with a chapter that's more than 3k words. On the other hand, if your chapter/one-shot is pretty short, consider posting the entire thing. (Please use a "Keep reading" line.)
Polish your intro. First impressions are important. Spend a little extra time checking your first chapter for grammar, paragraph breaks, consistent POV/verb tense, and general readability. Reading your work out loud is a great way to catch errors and smooth out rough spots. If you need an extra pair of eyes, try to find a writing partner or beta.
Give and take. Make sure you're reviewing other people's work. Promote fics you enjoy and think your readers/followers might enjoy too. Always respond to reviews (when possible) and make sure guest reviewers feel welcomed and appreciated, too.
Find ways to widen your appeal. Your readership might be limited if your fics are very AU, crossovers, focused on OCs or rarepairs, etc. Don't write what you don't want to, but see if you can reach new readers by stretching your wings a bit and reconnecting with the larger fandom. Examples:
-How would [scene in canon everyone knows] go down if these two characters had a romantic past? Or with this one difference in the lore?
-Challenge yourself to write a gapfiller scene that follows your AU but still fits in canon (mostly)
-Take advantage of holidays and fandom events/challenges, when readers are more likely to try something new.
-Try out "Meet [the OC's name]" posts. Be sure to connect them back to existing characters and themes/plot points the fandom will recognize.
Consider a collection. Like multi-chapter fics, one-shot collections have the benefit of allowing readers to get notified when you update. A one-shot collection is also a great way to keep your fics organized and accessible, and it can bring in new readers while also notifying returning readers.
---------------------------------------
Please add on! Writers, what have you found to be effective in terms of growing your readership and encouraging readers to respond?
Readers, what makes you more/less likely to pick up a fic? What makes you more/less likely to review, reblog, etc.?

Twitter Tagging System =/= Tumblr Tagging System
I know a lot of people are moving to Tumblr from Twitter after all the chaos, so I’m writing this in hopes people will be able to interact with others better if they understand the tagging system for Tumblr as it is when I’m writing this.
Your biggest reminder for tags: This is a blogging website.
General tagging system and how people use it:
On Twitter people have always written #theirtaghere to tag their posts within the post itself. Tags on Twitter exist for people to find your post - in other words, directly for engagement of the content posted.
On Tumblr, tags (not written directly in the post itself) are used for two things primarily: Getting your post out to a wider audience outside of just your followers, and for blog organization as well as to be able to find posts on your blog later.
Twitter has never had an archive system where you can search a tag to find all your tagged posts later. Tumblr has this. In other words, for example, if you’re in a fandom, you may find posts where two or more characters are interacting. The post may be tagged with all of the characters involved in the post, but you may not like whatever opinions or comments are on the post. However, it’s not necessarily tagged specifically so people who are fans of what was tagged will see your hot takes. Chances are, it’s so they can access it at any time via their blog, as tags are searchable on our own accounts here.
What you can do to avoid your not necessarily positive fandom commentary (or hot takes you don’t want people seeing) from going into searchable tags is to avoid tagging the fandom or characters involved in the post that you don’t feel highly about, only tagging the one(s) you aren’t being negative about (ex. I love this character but I hate this character, so I’ll avoid tagging the character I hate so it won’t show up in people’s search results where they’ll be looking for nice, positive content or they probably wouldn’t be in that search).
This is NOT the same as tagging on Twitter (or writing out full search keywords on Twitter which also picks things up and puts them in searches where people will be looking for positive content of what they like). Tags on Tumblr only go into searchable tags if the post is a new post and not a reblog. If you do hate that one fandom or character, you can write the name out in full in your tags if it’s a reblog! Reblog tags are literally just there for archiving purposes. They won’t show up in searches.
Another way of being able to tell if someone is just tagging a new, non-reblog post for archiving: are they using the fandom/character’s full title/name? For example, are they using only a fandom abbreviation (ex. some people might tag Attack on Titan as AoT, The Umbrella Academy as TUA, or A Song of Ice and Fire as ASoIaF)? They may be trying to avoid putting something into the main tag but want it available to be found on their blog (this is not always the case, but you should always keep in mind that it might be before engaging with their post).
Same with characters name: for example, since this blog is fandom specific, I don’t need to use full names because I know who everyone is within this blog’s fandom, so I only use first names. That’s an example of tagging for archiving purposes - only tagging it so it can be found later and not necessarily for it to be found in searches. Unfortunately some characters do have very unique names that you won’t find in other/a lot of other fandoms, so they’ll show up in tags using only first names, but generally if you’re actively looking for post engagement, you’re going to be typing out the character’s full name if they have one.
Also, people tend to use tags to continue their thoughts if they’re offhand thoughts less related to the topic in the post (such as going off on a semi-unrelated tangent but it’s on their mind). You may see lengthy conversational tags! It’s just something people here do to add to their thoughts and express them without mixing those thoughts with the main post when they may not totally fit in with it.
On that note, you may also see people reply in the tags instead of directly on the post. Often this is a way of adding one’s thoughts to the post but not necessarily wanting it to circulate on the post. Your tags will stay only on your blog, so the next reblogger that finds the post through you won’t reblog it having your thoughts all over it (unless they really loved your tags, in which case they may reblog it with your tags, which is generally a compliment here). If you want your thoughts to be potentially reblogged you can of course reply on the post itself - just remember that those thoughts may be seen by a lot of people depending on the post going around. Some people also use tags as a way to compliment artists and writers. When people reblog art and writing, they probably don’t want some random person’s comments on the art or writing they’re enjoying (and will have to go to the OP’s version of the post from their blog to get the original without the comments on it). They probably want to just reblog the OP’s work. Your tags can be seen by the OP in their notes activity, so leave all your kind, warm, fuzzy compliments in the tags so they can read them! Sometimes they may even send you an ask or a message in response if they have something to say!
One last thing to note for general tagging: USE SPACES IN YOUR TAGS HOLY HELL YEEHAW MOTHERTRUCKER TRUCKING ON THE HIGHWAY. Do NOT write “AttackonTitan” or “ASongofIceandFire” as a tag, because Tumblr users don’t use the search function that way! You’re not going to get engagement if that’s what you're looking for! When you’re writing in that little #tags bar under your post, just write out the full series name/character name with spaces.
Avoiding negative interaction:
So say you want to avoid people finding your content altogether because people can be jerks and will send you hate. You can make your own tags for things. Tags you can consider trying out are things like “[user’s name here]’s rambles” or “[fandom name/character name negativity]”.
Now, if people look up “x fandom/character negativity” despite loving the thing in question and engage with posts in there, that’s their own fault and they deserve to be upset for looking into the tag in the first place. Maybe don’t look into a tag you know you won’t like the content of.
On that same train of thought, if you see a post with commentary about something you like but it’s negative and you hate it, make sure you check how it’s tagged before flying into a rage on the person. If you looked at the Attack on Titan tag and you found hate for Armin or something, but how dare they, you love Armin!... don’t reply to it with your bullshit. Don’t send them hate. Don’t even interact with the post. Scroll past it and move on. Why? Because you found that post in the general fandom tag, not the Armin Arlert tag.
Now, if you do find hate for Armin in the Armin Arlert tag, let me tell you, that’s super shitty of the person to tag his full name with their hate. If you’re tagging something that you’re hating on, you know people are going to find that post when they look through the tag. People look through tags to find content they enjoy, not to see someone bitching about what they love. Don’t be the annoying asshole who tags your hate with a character’s full name. Yes, even if it’s for archiving purposes for your own blog. Just use another tag, such as just his first name (as people will usually be searching for full names when looking for content they enjoy due to some names being very common throughout fandoms/series). If you prefer to use a totally custom tag, that works too!
HOWEVER! Dearies, if you see hate in a tag and you love the subject of the tag, please just block the person and move on. Don’t waste your time and energy sending them anything about it just to let them know you’re angry/upset. If you think it might have been an accident/unintentional because the person is not aware of how the Tumblr tagging systems works, feel free to drop them an ask or message (if messages for non-mutuals is allowed by them on their blog which can be found in your  blog’s settings), but BE POLITE about it. Just kindly inform them in case they’re unaware. If they reply to you being a fuckwad jerk about it, block them and move along. Again though, just do your best not to engage with tagged negativity (or negativity at all if you can help it).
Tumblr is a blogging site for long form content (the complete opposite of Twitter) and nowadays also artwork, so people are going to want to tag their posts to find them later! Just be mindful of how you tag things, and be mindful of how you interact with posts that you may not agree with.

FAQ: Prompts
How to Submit:
Please submit all prompts via our ask box :) We welcome both anon and public asks, whatever makes you most comfortable.
What to Include:
For the sake of blog organization, please try to include the following (at a minimum):
Pairing(s) or "any", if you do not have a preference
Prompt Summary
Do Want (DW) tags, such as specific tropes or kinks
Do Not Want (DNW) tags
How to Claim:
Tumblr doesn't have a great anonymous claim system; therefore, this blog does not have one way for you to claim a prompt. There are a few different methods to keep track of a post, such as:
Reblogging with your own tags
Sending the post as a message to this page (maintains some anonymity)
Saving the post link somewhere on your device
How to Know If A Prompt Is Claimed:
There is no limit to how many people can be interested in filling a prompt -- if you like it, write for it! However, if you want to find all posts relating to a prompt, including any possible fills, please search using the prompt's Index Number.
The Index Number can be found in the "Index:" tag below the prompt.

Ok Here’s An Actual TLDR Intro Post
KEEP AN EYE ON THIS POST FOR FUTURE EDITS!
Hi, my name’s Rory 😄 I’m a 24 year old pansexual partnered kinky white cisgender woman (she / her) in the New England area training to become a sex coach (I’m still about 2 years away from finishing this first certification). I’d really like to help out other queer and neurodivergent folks find their full pleasure potential and feel good about the sex they’re having! I’m mostly focused on the scientific and psychological side of sex, rather than any mystical or tantric point of view… but admittedly I am agnostic and like to believe in magic and manifestation 💖. Basically, I have tarot cards, but I’m too lazy to use them!
🚫 DNI if you are: 🚫
— A minor / under 18 years old!!!
Seriously DO NOT interact with adult content creators as a minor… you’re not only putting yourself at risk, you’re also putting the adult at risk too.
Literally anyone else is welcome to interact, I just ask that you be respectful. I only follow, like and reblog posts from people with their age in bio (18+) and after doing the vibe check that they wouldn’t mind my interaction with their content.
👀 What Kind of Stuff You’ll See on This Blog: 👀
— My personal stories about my sexual growth / healing journey. Let’s normalize learning about and embracing our pleasure!
— Sex-positive education and activism :)
— Reblogs of hot stuff related to sexual interests of mine (including taboo stuff like age play, incest, MD/lb, BDSM, somnophilia, dubcon, and noncon… DNI if any of these are a hard no / repulsive for you because I may forget to tag). This may include sexy fan art of my fannish interests if I see it and I do the OP vibe check.
— Fan interests include: LISA, Ted Lasso, Jreg, Danganronpa, Persona 5, Salad Fingers, Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared, The Coffin of Andy & Leyley [and while I’m not really an RPF kinda girl, I also like Formula 1 and Jeremy Clarkson / James May / Richard Hammond].
🤯 My Politics, In Case You Were Wondering (DNI if any of this makes you want to cancel me, but I am open to measured discussion): 🤯
— I support racial justice, LGBT+ rights, disability justice, and the neurodiversity movement. I support transformative justice and I am a prison abolitionist about 99% of the time.
— You can’t control the thoughts in your head or who you’re attracted to. People should not be judged on the basis of their thoughts alone. That being said, I strongly believe that certain attractions are better off (which is to say, safer) explored in fantasy rather than IRL (this includes minor-adult relationships and incest).
— I am Pro Choice but respect Pro Lifers as long as they don’t try to enforce their ideology via the law
— I am COVID vaccinated while being partnered with an unvaccinated person
— I’m kind of post-left these days because I don’t really see a world after capitalism but I think the people can make capital work FOR THEM if they organize with this in mind. Having money is not a sin if you acquired it via your own labor and you strive to use it as ethically as possible.
— I strive to be anti-reactionary in all things except this one: Fuck Trump, I’m never voting for him LMAO. This is also why I’m allergic to most social media because it feeds off reactionary politics.
💖💖💖💖 THANKS FOR READING! 💖💖💖💖 (god this was still probably too much information, I’m really good at that)
