UMBRELLA ID CARD — PSD TEMPLATE

hey, all! a while ago i took on the task of finding annette birkin's id card from re2 remake out of the desire to make my own id for my original character! i'm not very experienced when it comes to graphic design or making psds, but i threw this one together and thought i'd share! layers are easy to navigate and not much prior photoshop/photopea knowledge is required.

i tried to figure out how to do a clipping mask with the barcode and everything, but... i couldn't figure it out, so... it's pretty easy to add your own custom barcode. i went to this website and generated a random barcode 1000px wide. then, i went into photoshop, removed the extra letters/numbers, and turned it into a transparent png. using annette's id card (provided in the file), i then placed and resized the barcode to fit. voila!

#elena of avalor #beauty and the beast #batbedit #disneyedit #eoa edit #belle x beast #estebalena #kinda but also not kinda #I think a lot about the fact that it's been confirmed that this is an intentional homage #like EoA series supervising director Elliot M. Bour was just like casually bringing BATB into things as an Easter egg #since it was his first job in animation #and like don't get me wrong; I LOVE that he did this. I just don't know how he expected anyone (i.e. me) to be normal about it afterwards #once you've introduced BATB; it ceases to be a fun and casual reference and just makes the literature major girlies go feral #i thought this was gonna be a quick and easy little project but it wasn't #the parallels are all there but they're in slightly different order in EoA than the original and the pacing for each reference is differen #so i had to determine which ones I needed to skip frames for and which ones to use all the frames #and then try to figure out the speed from there #the coronation day scenes were very hard to color because the grey skies and muted filter kind of whitewash the characters #like you don't even understand i added so MUCH vibrance and saturation to the 4th and 5th gifs but elena's skin still is just gray #and the coloring is still just a very very mixed bag #also i've realized that while I don't think it was an intentional reference in the same way BATB was #anna's sacrifice and resurrection from frozen is perhaps just as --if not more-- a clear parallel to the coronation day scene than BATB #so maybe I will do that one someday too?#once i psych myself up again to try coloring coronation day again #which i imagine will be awhile #these do not look like the same scene and pretty much the same scene at all even if i tried to use the same psd when i could #and edit them to make the coloring as close as i could

wrote that new topmew fic very quickly and now i'm not really happy with it (there's an inaccuracy that i don't actually want to get rid of dfslkdjf) but now i don't know what to work on >:(

#two gifsets are calling my name but i'm kind of stuck #bc i deleted some PSDs that would have come in handy so i'm grumpy with myself lol #tiee ep10 is stalled because that episode is annoying lol #i think the forcebook fic wants to be written more than the topmews #but i don't have a beginning yet or a pov #i like a third person limited but idk where to start #probably going to work on original work rather than fanfic but we'll see #as much as i was like I NEED TO WRITE TOPMEW FANFIC NOW!!!!!! i kind of don't want to now lol #they're kind of hard to write?#like don't get me wrong i'm still annoyed with what the writers did there at the end but i also slightly understand the predicament #especially with book's input it may have been hard to juggle what to include and what to exclude #in fact it kind of seems like they only added book's ideas but didn't bother take/alter anything else? bc there's some stuff where i'm like #mew would straight up not do that lol #so the way that translates into fic is trying to figure out what to include/exclude since the way they wrote him was kind of inconsistent #which i was big mad about at the end #but now i'm a little more resigned like. the turnover for these dramas is insane #and workshopping is really short so i can see why some holdovers from earlier drafts might not have made as much sense based on how the #characters changed through different iterations from the directors and actors #but that doesn't make some of the contrivances suddenly not annoying lmao #anyway reply with an emoji if you read this far jdljsfld #rum.txt

#* 𝐾͟. 》 —⠀out of ‚#not a vague unless ur doing exactly what im going to describe #i have no one in mind when i write this. just a hypothetical person..who could also have the potential to exist #whether its you or someone else.#please be wary of casting and psds. i know a handful of characters are “ambigously asian enough” but their influences are very clear cut-#-in a lot of instances (ku.ai li.ang & ha.nzo)#and its not enough to chalk up lack of awareness to NRs lack of care.#is that the right saying??#which is also why i havent chosen a fc for kit.ana. the character itself has very clear japanese influences (weapons & name origin)#but also created to be the daughter of someone of chinese lineage. also a filipino and viet face model..just NR trying to #demonstrate how exotic <3 and unique <3 and other worldly <3 edenians are i guess.#u dont HAVE to choose a fc btw guys its definitely not something you have to do if u cant find a good fit..#in regards to psds though like...if ur going the realistic route of having that specific characters color-theme pop #make sure to not completely wash out the character and their skin?#b&w psds are tricky so i stay away but if thats ur thing just make sure the skin is a gray or neutral #also this isnt drama its just a warning. however if me talk bout this is uncomfortable..dont continue following me!#i do try and reach out personally if i see these problems but im not always online either #too busy living my dream shooting robots and reassuring my alien boyf that we CAN fuck without a manual in mas.s eff.ect
