Under my yule alter, set next to my stocking, are two new decks I was gifted by folks. I know they are decks because one did not come wrapped (I wrapped it in a reusable bag), and one I can tell by the weight and shape of it. One of the things I sometimes like doing when "meeting" a new tarot, oracle, or cartomancy deck is to interview it. I like asking it questions about how we might interact, its vibe, the way we may or may not fit as it were.
