I still love the fact that the entire Ironstrange community decided that Stephen fell in love with Tony after viewing 14000605 possible timelines bc he watched him die for everyone on Titan, watched him sacrifice himself for people he just met and essentially for the entire universe, watched him fall over and over and over again just to stand up and keep fighting because he had to. He’s seen every decision Tony could ever make, has seen every sacrifice-play he’s made, every victory and defeat, and decided ‘this one.’
Like, Stephen’s seen this man at his worst and at his best, probably knows him better than anyone else ever could, and he fell so in love with him. I will go down with this ship.

Early last year, when I was first getting into the MCU, my main objective was simply to watch every movie that Stephen was in. The rest I could watch later, if I was interested enough.
So, anyway, of course I noticed the lack of cheese-gloves in every one of Stephen’s appearances…. except, of course, Thor Ragnarok.
And I, with all the very little knowledge of Marvel lore that I had, thought I was sooooo smart because I watched that scene between Stephen and Thor and those yellow gloves and thought:
Ahhh, of course! The writers are such geniuses! Stephen, being a very powerful sorcerer as he is, is obviously attuned to certain aspects of people that aren’t necessarily physical or visible to the naked eye. He can sense auras, he seems to display clairvoyance to some extent even without the use of the Time Stone when he shakes Thor’s hand…. it’s no wonder he wears those gloves! Stephen is disabled and still JUST getting used to being disabled (and a sorcerer!) It’s been roughly a year since he had those metal pins inserted into his hands. And Thor is the God of Thunder, and while not necessarily the god of, like, weather or even “storms” in general, the heavy pressure of storm clouds is almost oppressive especially when you’re constantly flying through them and also directly causing them, right?
What if that’s his aura? What if that oppressive, heavy, barometric pressure follows Thor around even when he’s not shooting lightning from the heavens? Wouldn’t that feel…. extremely painful to somebody who’s only just getting used to his bones being held together by tiny shards of metal? Painful to someone who was born for the mystic arts despite still being, essentially, a novice to sorcery during the events of that movie?
I was so certain that the only time we see Stephen with those beautiful dishwashing gloves (I love them dearly) was because he was protecting his hands from Thor’s whole… just…. Everything. And that’s why we don’t see them again in any of his other appearances featuring Marvel characters who,,,, don’t quite carry the smothering pressure of brewing storm clouds around their person wherever they go……
But no, it really was just a wardrobe choice.

Okay, hear me out: pre-accident Stephen with a secret relationship (but more like the beginning of it, the dating side) with a fellow surgeon nobody knows about because everybody only thinks they would be a cute couple, but everybody knows that it will not happen because YN is the sunshine from pediatrics and Stephen is… well, Stephen. And even Christine isn’t sure if YN is hardcore enough (they’re friends since undergrad) for Stephen, but then there is a moment with a patient in the ER and everyone tries to come to the rescue, but YN is super badass, is handling it like a boss, and Stephen just stands there in utter awe and then grabs her and kisses her in front of everyone (it would be their first kiss). And she is like “Wait a second, I am not dreaming, and this only happens in my dreams” and even Stephen gets a bit flustered because nobody ever admitted that they had dreams with him in the lead role.
Yeah, just leave me alone in this corner full of Stephen. I’m happy here, thanks.

Summary: Steven didn't spend the night at Sanctum that night, and Ruby is worried about it.

The girl stretched out on the bed from sleep. Opening her eyes, her right hand reached out to the man, but touched the bed linen. Ruby turned her head to the right, but there was no one there. Stephen wasn't here. "Why?" she asked herself this question.
It turns out that the girl spent the night alone. Her lover never returned? No, it can't be like that. He promised her to return on time from Kamar-Taj.
— Where is Stephen? — she asked herself, trying to find an answer, looking around the room.
The girl got up and got out of bed, putting a robe on her almost naked body.
The girl left their shared bedroom in a hurry, didn’t even comb her hair or wash her face, but went to look for him. Ruby walked down the stairs to the first floor. He was not in the kitchen or bathroom. Every time Ruby entered another room in the hope of finding him, her heart skipped a beat that he was not there. It was as if he had evaporated. Suddenly she remembered the existence of a secret library in the library, no matter how strange it may sound.
She entered the library room and found a certain book, pulled it a little and a passage opened into a corridor that did not lead down or up, but straight horizontally.
Ruby walked quickly. Her light robe fluttered. She reached the end of the corridor and saw Wong and him around the corner...
— Stephen. Wong. — she said instead of greeting.
Both men were confused in front of a girl with such a homely and careless look.
— Ruby... — Steven tried to start speaking. — Wong told me a new plan for protecting Kamar-Taj in the event of an enemy attack.
— Yes... Yes. A plan is needed to protect Kamar Taj. Keep working, but don't forget to rest.
Ruby's heart and soul seemed to immediately calm down. Her beloved is nearby. She went to leave the secret library and, leaving the corridor, Strange followed her at a run. He stopped her by gently placing his hand on her shoulder.
— Ruby... — The voice became softer and more velvety. — Forgive me... — He hugged her from behind, placing his hands on her collarbones. — Ruby, my love, I'm sorry.
— Steven, please come with me, — she turned to him and pressed her lips to his. So soft and tender. The taste that is so pleasant to both of them... The man did not respond much to her amorous actions, and Ruby stopped.
— This year, Kamar-Taj is predicted to be more vulnerable than last year.
The girl's expression faded. She pulled away from him, taking a few steps away.
— Yeah... We would be happier if we didn’t love each other.
Ruby walked out of the library, and the man remained watching her until he lost sight of her.
