Dnd fantasy-type one piece would be so cool like- regardless of classes:
Zoro as a tiefling who grows into his horns late and maybe even four sword style with his tail?/ or as a light green half orc?
Sanji as a half elf who hates his elf lineage and hides his ears under his long blonde hair and is terrified of outliving everyone he loves
Luffy as a variant human and Nami and Usopp as humans (maybe usopp has some fae heritage for his luck?)
Chopper as a cute harengon or a werereindeer halfling
Robin as someone with aasimar ancestry (she learns the secret language of the gods and that’s why she’s hunted)
Franky as a warforged hybrid
Jinbei as triton of course
Bon clay is a changeling!
Vivi would probably have to be human with aasimar or genasi heritage maybe ?
Tiefling for our boy Yamato of course

My D&D obsessed brain can't help but wonder, what do we think the one piece characters races and classes could and would be?
Especially with Zoro and Sanji I am on the fence [I see them classed as Fighter and monk respectively all the time and I don't disagree] , but I feel like Sanji could be both a Monk (kicks and speed) and a Babarian (those flames are rage if I ever seen one) but then again, I have never seen a charisma and dex based Babarian 🤔 now if he was a Monk he could use his wisdom for attacks so that would maybe work 🤔
And Zoro could easily be Fighter (mutli attack, second wind!) but I could totally see him as a Paladin-Oath of Devotion (I feel like halt of his attacks are essentially Smites)
Maybe Sanji is a Monk who multiclassed into Babarian during the time skip and Zoro is a Fighter who multiclassed into Paladin (to get the smites) during his time with Mihawk 🤔
There are so many options! I really want to know everyone else's opinions on the matter
Also in regard to races, I feel like Kid would make a great Minotaur and (even though it is low hanging fruit) Bellamy is probably a Gnoll 😂 (man I love gnolls!! 😍)

How our DM thought our encounter with Blackbeard in our OP D&D session was going to go:
How it actually went:
Context: Our DM thought we were gonna have an epic fight with Blackbeard. But in the end we ended up Mean Girls style bitching and bullying him. Our DM was trying to big him up as a big scary boss (which tbh he is), but we're just ended up being feral gremlins like "Eww, he's greasy and gross though. 0/10 would not bang".

So last night some friends of mine started a One Piece DnD campaign. I know little about the anime, but appeared as a guest character since I didn't know if this would be for me.
When we went to think of one, I suggested an animal, so it would be easy for me to get out of the story if I wanted to.
So it ended up with me now being a speedy coconut crab with a hard shell and nasty punches/pinches.
And next time this crab appears, when I can appear in another session of theirs, we will be giving it a devil fruit.
I wonder where this will go

Ok so i like things and i like making headcannons because they're fun. So why not post headcannons I've decided.
What series? One Piece DnD by Rustage. At least until ive covered every prominent character. I'll probably do this in order of thumbnail art so we start with William Emanon D Chapston, the dumbass captain, incompetent rouge and adoptive father of significantly better rouge
Spoilers below for One Piece DnD and One Piece(the series)
• William is kept awake at night by his decision when he got to choose any power and could've saved everyone and instead just summoned people
• Following on from that, Atom, Helios and Louis all somewhat haunt his dreams, as well as the moments they died
• After seeing what happened to Blake he began to repeatedly say things about saying no to drugs to Doxie, which is always met with a lot of "i already know that"
• Doxie came up to him one day after the crew disbanded and showed him the news about Ragnar which caused him a lot of distress over doing nothing about his addiction
• William tried to make a plan to cure Ragnar but ultimately realised that it'd never work
• He gambled a lot after learning about Ragnars spiral and almost lost everything. He cheated last second and barely won and then stopped gambling to cope after being persuaded by Doxie and Boss
• He (alongside Doxie and Boss) meets up with Verona, Lyssa, Pearl, Cyril, Gravy and Jimmy from time to time. Usually most of the meet ups are seperate but they all get together for special occasions like birthdays
• They also all meet up once a year on Louis' birthday and mourn him.
• They all met up after they learned about Ragnar and discussed the news. Ultimately they decided it was best for him and them to just stay far away
• William, Doxie and Boss all do revolutionary army work in the Grand Line.
• He helped Belo Betty with her power by using his inspiring leader speeches as a basis
• He wasn't liked much by Kuma at first but eventually they became friends and William began to get better as a result
• He no longer furiously kills old people
• He is held in high regard in the revolutionary army for killing a celestial dragon, even by people like Dragon although he doesnt admit it
• He's not great at showing it but he's very proud of Doxie
• He has cried on more than one Father's Day over stuff Doxie has done for him
• He has escaped from 4 marine prison ships. Him and Doxie have a competition over this and he is losing

Been playing a One Piece DND game with some friends and I play a pirate captain named Martel. This session had everyone lose their minds while traversing a mirage-filled desert, only to fight a gang of guys, and later the guy who caused all these mirages. A plus of this insanity-building experience was getting a cool visual from the DM
TW // Blood and Slight Gore under the cut with description
During the first fight, Martel killed his first during-game enemy and the DM gave the verbal visual that it was an x-slash but since it's One Piece it only showed the silhouette of the body.
[Another note is Martel's weapons are funky bc most One Piece weapons are strange]
