and then i remember that fathom only gave him life, not mortality.

and that makes me sad knowing blob is probably still alive without indigo.

Random Hermitcraft (mainly watcher/listener) headcanons that came from the notes app I made at 2 am last night

-the two resident short kings (Grian and Bdubs) are in a heated rivalry. Over what? Neither of them know

-Etho and mumbo are siblings, they’ve just never interacted much and it’s never come up so neither of them have said anything. It’s been 8 years like this, not even Xisuma knows, help them.

-Jimmy, Martyn, Bigb, Pearl and Gem are all listeners, Pearl turned gem into one so they could world-hop together.

-Hermes was kidnapped by the watchers as at a very young age, he is one now, this is why Jimmy doesn’t like him (watchers and listeners are mortal enemies). But Hermes doesn’t actually know that he is one, only the listener squad and Grian know.

-Grian/Xelqua is the head watcher

-prismarina is gem’s listener name (this one is just for fun), or alternatively pris is a pretty powerful watcher.

-doc is a foot taller than Joel’s god hight, this is because, doc is probably more powerful than gods.

Forgot to add one

-all avians are either watchers, used to be watchers, or are offspring of one of the first two.

"life doesnt get better, you just get stronger" does NOT include ages 11-17. life does in fact just get better from there. those years are dogshit. like, you do get stronger but its mostly just a factor of not being 11-17 anymore. positive thinking helps but it doesnt fix whatevers going on at 15, you have to brute force through that one raw

I don't think I've seen anybody talk about how absolutely insane The Boiling Rock is from Hakoda's perspective.

Imagine getting captured, and your son tells you that you won't be apart for too long. That's sweet, but obviously your son has no resources to spare for organizing a breakout. You hope that the Avatar can defeat the Fire Lord soon - that's the earliest time you could hope to be rescued.

You get put into a temporary holding facility until the guards can sort out who is who. After a while, they put you on a prisoner transport to the Boiling Rock. Your captors try to intimidate you by telling you that it's the highest security prison in the Fire Nation, probably the whole world. It's far away from the capital.

You arrive at the Boiling Rock. It really is in the middle of a boiling lake. There's only one way in or out, and it's a gondola that takes you above the boiling lake. You meet the warden. They take you to your cell. You settle down to wait for the end of the war.

And 15 minutes later Sokka comes in like "hey dad I'm here I got the prince of the Fire Nation and an Earth Kingdom ninja leader gf ok let's go I'm busting you out"
