Summary: You are a famous actress who Pedro has a crush on, and he finally gets to meet you once you get both invited to The Graham Norton Show

"What a pair we have here tonight huh?"Graham spoke enthusiastically, making the audience explode in roaring cheers and applauses.

You just smiled as you tried looking at the crowd, getting overwhelmed by the blinding lights.

"Y/n Y/l/n and Pedro Pascal, just- wow"

Other applauses filled the studio.

"Ok so let's start with you y/n, you have a show coming out next week, two oscar nominated films already out, and one more coming out next month" he took a deep breath, feigning fatigue "You must be tired, I mean, How long has it been since you slept?" he joked, making you laugh.

"well I did work a lot this past year, but it was worth it, I'm happy I got to be part of so many wonderful projects and I'm really proud of all of them, I just can't wait for people to see them"

"well I'm sure we're all gonna love them"

"I hope so, I'm always nervous about it"

"Really?" The man beside you asked, surprise clear in his tone.

Pedro Pascal,

You had heard of him before, of the boom he seemed to have made lately, but had never met him until half an hour ago, when you briefly introduced yourselves to one another.

He looked nervous, awkward even, and you didn't know if it was because of the show he was about to get on, if he just was like that, or if there was something else bothering him.

"of course, when I go to premiers I'm always looking over at how people are reacting, if they're like bored or on their phones or actually interested, it's nervewracking, don't you?"

"well of course I do" he chuckled "but I'm no one compared to you"

He had a beautiful smile, you noticed, sweet, comforting.

"oh stop it" you smacked his shoulder playfully " you're a big deal, Pedro"

He just shook his head, still smiling softly, and Graham took the opportunity to intervene.

"of course you are, I mean, Game of Thrones, Narcos," he listed " and now the Mandalorian and The last of us, I mean you're really killing it"

The crowd cheered some more at the mention of those shows.

"thank you," he said shyly, looking like he almost wanted them to stop.

"so how does it feel?" he asked, "to be on such massive hits at the same time?"

"Well, it feels... scary" he laughed, joined by the audience

"you don't like being the center of attention?" Graham asked

"oh no I do" he corrected, making you laugh "It's just frightening at times,

but I'm having a good time y'know, it's also comforting seeing everyone I've worked with kind of be in the same position as me" he shrugged.

"People you've worked with?"

"yes, you know like Bella Ramsey, they're also- well they're young so of course, they're new to this- but, y'know, we're not used to all this attention and it feels good to have someone by your side who understands what's going on"

"of course" graham nodded "that's true, Bella is really young" he noticed "that's a thing both your shows have in common, young people," he said, "how did that feel? working with the new generation, I'm not saying you're old, but did you ever feel left out?"

"oh, all time" Pedro laughed

"yeah me too" you agreed "there were times when I was really lost but too ashamed to ask " you laughed in embarrassment

"absolutely," Pedro said, " they have a language of their own"

"right?!" you exclaimed, happy someone finally understood you.

"yes, like, there's one term that I learned recently that's really wonderful- somebody was saying - you swerve - "

You frowned

"do you know what swerving is?"

"nope"

"I was like oh- get somebody off your scent or something like that- I don't know - confuse somebody, and they were like: no, they come in for a kiss and you swerve" he demonstrated, pretending to be avoiding a kiss on the cheek.

"Isn't that great?"

you nodded, laughing, as an idea came to you

"We should try"

His eyes widened as he turned to you

"c'mon swerve me"

"no, I cannot swerve you!"

"c'mon it's for science"

"I can't, I can't swerve y/n Y/l/n, that's like - a crime"

"oh stop it, just do it, I wanna try it c'mon," you said, flattered

"ok fine, but just because I can't say no to you" he surrendered

"ok" you cleared your throat, preparing yourself "Oh wow, hi Pedro" you pretended to greet him, going in for a kiss.

He just smiled, as he did, eventually avoid your kiss,

his beard grazed your cheek, and the proximity to him, sparked something inside you, something quick, but likewise persistent.

As you leaned away, you noticed with amusement the flush on his cheeks and had to bite down a smile.

He fanned himself exaggeratedly "I'm blushing," he mumbled, making you chuckle, as you rested a hand on his arm, trying to soothe him.

" So how does swerving feel?" Graham asked

"it's... interesting" you glanced at him.

"It makes me feel rude" he looked at you too now, "I would never do it, it feels- it's mean"

"oh we know you wouldn't" you reassured him.

"I didn't like it" he shook his head

You smiled, tilting your head "would it make you feel better if we did it again without the swerving?"

You noticed how he seemed to have a momentary shutdown.

"yes," he said bluntly

"oh my god yes"

You laughed softly, as his mouth gaped open.

"Will you kiss me?" he almost begged, which was funny considering you had proposed it.

"Alright then, come here" you gestured, and he leaned closer, letting you press a quick kiss to his cheek.

"there" you smiled

"I think I just died"

"oh stop it, you're flattering me," you said, noticing a trace of red on his face "whoops, sorry I left a lipstick print" you went to clean it

"no no" he stopped you

"please leave it, I want proof this actually happened"

ᡣ𐭩 •｡ꪆৎ ˚⋅ ━ ever since you and heizou started dating, you’ve never known him to be the jealous or possessive type. but it seems your closeness with a certain classmate has started to get to him. (or jealousy and kisses)

lately, you’ve started to notice a slight shift in your precious boyfriend’s behavior. especially when it comes to your interactions with a fellow classmate.

recently, one of your teachers had assigned a group project to the class, and even at the mere mention of group work, everyone began to excitedly decide who they would choose to partner up with. however the teacher was quick to put an end to such excitement, announcing that she would personally be determining the groups for this particular project herself—much to everyone’s dismay.

long story short, you ended up not being placed in the same group as your boyfriend, heizou, but with another instead. of course, this kind of decision didn’t necessarily bother either of you.

after all, this wouldn’t be the first time you both had to work separately from each other. and while the first few moments of realization were a bit saddening, it all disappeared the moment you two met up for lunch or walked home together after school.

therefore you thought nothing of it and thus began to work with your groupmates on the project.

although it hadn’t been decided officially amongst your group members themselves, you naturally found yourself becoming the appointed leader for your group alongside another.

the only one who had continuously helped you with setting up expected due dates, handling group meetings outside of class, and delegating certain tasks to the other members.

from this continuous engagement, you would wound up spending the majority of your time with said classmate whom you gradually got to know more and more with each study session and hangout.

the two of you soon found out that you both surprisingly shared a lot of common interests with each other, making your shared time together to be quite amendable. in addition to that, you also found sharing your frustrations with them about the project itself or other concerns that were unrelated to school to come by fairly easy.

but in light of this newly formed friendship, came about the rise of something else in another individual close to you—heizou.

there was one occasion in which you’d been standing out in the hallway during break period, chatting away with your classmate about how much sleep you lost the night before because of that ridiculous project.

“i swear, i feel like i only got like three hours max...” you said, eyelids feeling heavy as a yawn escaped past your lips.

he laughed in response. “i told you before school ended that i could handle that part of the research so you could get some sleep. got no one to blame but yourself.”

“hey, how about instead of calling me out, you have some sympathy for me instead!” you retort, rolling your eyes and playfully jabbing him on the shoulder.

“ow! yea right, with how you're treating me now? i don’t think so.”

the two of you laugh in unison and you’re just about ready to throw another light punch his way.

but then, you suddenly feel a pair of arms wrap around your torso, pulling you back against someone as you see a flash of burgundy colored hair from the corner of your eyes.

“heizou?”

he plants a small kiss on your temple, smiling towards you before resting his head on your shoulder. “yes, love?”

“oh do you two know each other?” your friend chimes in, waiting for you to answer his question but you're beaten to it.

“we’re dating.” heizou answers without delay, and you swear you could detect a tinge of possessiveness in his voice as he says that.

“oh so you’re heizou!” your classmate says with a smile, seemingly unfazed by heizou’s somewhat aloof demeanor. “it’s nice to finally meet you i’m–”

“no need for introductions. i know who you are.” heizou interjects, his eyes narrowing at the male in a way that feels as though he’s shooting daggers at him. though such an exchange goes unnoticed by you.

“now if you don’t mind, we actually have somewhere to be.”

without sparing another word, heizou grabs your hand, making sure to interlock his fingers with yours before dragging you away.

it all happened in switch swift movements that you didn’t have time to register what just happened. and before you knew it, you were back at your desk playing with heizou’s hair. something he had insistently asked you to do before break ended (you went with giving him small braids that day).

it didn’t take long for you to put two and two together to realize; he was jealous.

and that was just one of countless other instances that would occur in the following days.

each time towards the end of the week, when the teacher gave everyone time to gather with their groups and work on their projects, heizou became extra clingy and affectionate to you during breaks and lunch: hugging you for extended periods of times, showering you with more kisses than usual, and constantly calling to you by his designated pet names for you, “love” and “darling.”

or whenever heizou would catch you hanging around your new friend for more than five minutes, he’d swoop in from behind and instantly pull you away.

a few friends—after witnessing such a dilemma of lovers' jealousy unfold—suggested that perhaps if you tried ignoring him, he’d eventually give up and let you be.

so one day, you decided to test this theory out for yourself. but that quickly became a terrible mistake.

just as usual, you were out in the hallway, talking to your friend who fills you in on the finishing adjustments needed on a certain part of the project before turning it in.

as you expected, heizou soon showed up. this time though, you weren’t planning to give in.

even as you felt his arms wrap around you, and motion for you to go with him somewhere else, you didn’t bat an eye or budge one bit. seeing you purposefully ignore him made heizou frown, the jealousy now reaching it’s highest peak and the bitterness inside him growing every second.

tightening his hold on you, he pulled you closer to him. then like it was second nature to him, he buried his face into the crook of your neck, nose nuzzling into the softness of your skin.

an affectionate gesture you knew all too well. he did this exact action many times when you two were alone together in the comfort of your home. it his favorite form of physical touch to do each time he pulled you into his embrace and cuddled you.

but holy shit was he seriously doing this right now? and at school of all places!?

you stiffened a bit at the sudden feeling of his warm breath fanning against your neck, causing goosebumps to appear all over. but you quickly brushed it off. continuing to talk as though nothing was happening.

again—terrible mistake.

if you weren’t going to acknowledge him, then he’ll simply make it so you have no choice but to do so.

heizou slowly leans in even closer to your neck, his lips brushing against the delicate skin. your scent was always so intoxicating to him, something he never intends to let go of.

only he was allowed to breath it in. only he was allowed to be this close to you and you to him. no one else.

he softly smiles against you as he notices the way your breath seems to hitch at the brief sensation, watching the way you struggle to formulate coherent sounding words. and then, without warning, he begins to pepper your neck with kisses. one, then two, and three.

safe to say that after the third one you were a blushing mess in front of your friend, who ended up awkwardly excusing himself.

meanwhile, heizou watched with a satisfied look on his face as the male quickly walked off, waiting until he disappeared around the corner to speak.

“i hope he keeps walking and never knows what it's like to have your attention on him ever again.”

cheeks still coated in a faint shade of red, you let out an exasperated sigh at his words. “honestly…the lengths you go to. i thought you said before you weren’t the jealous type?”

“i’m not the jealous type—but what’s mine is mine.”

end note: back again with another daily nightly dose of late night writing! ngl this is probably the most intimate(?) thing i’ve ever written for a character and probably the only time i’ll ever do it😭 (sorry yall my aro/ace ass struggles </3)

i was originally considering using scara for this post but idk man… something about heizou and neck kisses has me brain rotting hard 🧎‍♀️probably because he’s one of the few characters i can actually see doing that kind of affection for you? and mixed in with that voice of his!? oof…actually ascending rn

also the way this was suppose to be based around a scene from the anime show horimiya (specifically the jacket scene) BUT THEN I ENDED UP WRITING THIS?! by the end of it i was like🧍‍♀️well ig we’re doing this now. do i like it? ..sure. will i ever do it again? 10% chance :D

One thing that i love about Diavolo's character is the great Angst potential he has. He lived a life of privilege and luxury while growing up. But he had grown up sheltered within the walls of the palace as an only child. The demon king, his Dad, not only "left" him when he was young cuz he lost interest in ruling and instead decided to "slumber" at the bottom of the Devildom, i'm convinced that he blamed Diavolo for the loss of his Mother, since it's stated that she died after giving birth to him. So Diavolo didn't had the mentor that he needed when he was young until he met Barbatos. He doesn't show it, but he's lonely on the inside. He can't show this side to anyone since he's the future ruler of devildom. I can imagine, every day, he would gaze out of his window at the bustling streets below, filled with commoners going about their daily lives. Burdened with the weight of responsibility. He knew that one day, he would have to rule over his people and make decisions that would impact their lives.

Now imagine placing MC into the picture, and this is something that i haven't seen the fandom talk about, i believe that Diavolo and MC can't just date normally like how you would with the brothers. Firstly, he's a Demon Prince, and MC most likely is a human commoner. Their union would most likely be forbidden by the laws (council of demons) of both their worlds, and any offspring they might have would be shunned by both demons and humans alike. (It's even Canon in the original game that humans and demons can't get married).

So, despite the pain in his heart, Diavolo knew that he had to let Mc go. He couldn't bear to see them with another, but he also couldn't bear to see them unhappy because of him. He once said that he wants to put Mc in a cage and keep them for himself in one of his cards, but he decides against it because he knows it's not right.

So imagine, he didn't want to feel those things he felt, but no matter how hard he fought against them, his feelings for Mc just grew stronger. With a heavy heart, he knew that he would always be there for Them, watching over them and protecting them from afar. He watched in silence as Mc found love with another human, a kind and gentle soul who treated them with the love and respect they deserved. And so, restless Diavolo would watch the stars shining brightly in the night sky on his balcony as he whispered a silent prayer for the human he loved, his heart heavy with the weight of their forbidden love. And as he thought of Mc, a single tear rolled down his cheek, a silent testament to the love that would always remain between them.

Poor Dia! I'm pretty sure in the og he says that his father did blame him (or like... had issues with him because he reminded him of his mom or something along those lines). And he also talks about how he didn't really have anyone until Barb showed up.

I also think that the way he often expresses jealousy of the brothers having fun or being chaotic indicates that he wishes he had something similar. Likely because he's lonely.

But oh man, just having MC show up, but it makes it worse because he has to let them go?!? Watch them marry someone else??? Oh, the angst! The suffering!!

I mean, if MC stayed mortal, he'd have to deal with them dying eventually anyway, but at least he could potentially have memories of a life together with them. But in this scenario, all he has is the knowledge that MC was happy without him.

Anyway, I think you've got a really interesting set up here! And yeah, if you're going for angst, this scenario definitely delivers! Ouchies though 😭

Very elitist, constantly calls others "commoners", talks about how he is gonna kill someone and get out of the killing game, hangs up a corpse and writes a message with their blood on the wall because he already knows the murderer but wants to see who is smart, complains the other students left him out even though he made sure to tell them every time that he wants nothing to do with them, pretty sure he screams in the 4 chapter " How can you know something I don't know?!", the only reason he doesn't qualify as a villain is cus he doesnt kill someone and in the end works with the rest of the survivors. He also constantly wants the protagonist to tell the rest what he knows

he's mean and self-centered and sees himself as above everyone else.

That an uneducated, brain-dead, useless piece of garbage like you has survived this long." "You have only yourself to blame—you came to me with your tragic little story. I didn't ask you to. This is the real world, not some romantic fantasy fairytale."

This rich mf… He spends the entire game being a snobby, condescending, uncaring asshole. He becomes relatively nicer by the end but never stops being a dick. He also desecrated a corpse once for funsies. He’s also stupid but he doesn’t know that. I both like and hate him. It’s complicated.

He's an heir to a wealthy family corporation and he sure does act the part. He acts like he's better than everyone else and thinks they're not worth his time. He's just a huge asshole. (SPOILERS) He tampers with a murder scene just for fun and outs another student's secret alter, knowing full well it was irrelevant to the case. He also has a small breakdown about being wrong in another trial. By the end, he becomes a bit more likeable and kinda a tsundere that pretends like he doesn't care about the other survivors (but he totally does). Still very much an asshole though. He's a fucked up lil guy and something about him draws me to him. I would kick his rich bastard shins IRL given the chance, however.

He is emotionally detached from his classmates…

Welp...this was a sticky situation that you got yourself into.

You've recently landed on earth just over a year ago, and already you're on the hiding from G H.O.S.T. agents and stuff. You thought this planet was gonna be a fresh start finally after the fuck long war, but nah. And to make things even worse? You were stuck in some giant ass web in the middle of a forest.

Scouting for energon was your only goal for the day, but now you're in trouble. Struggling against the webs, you tried to pull away but to no avail. The webs were too thick and strong and the more you squirmed the more you stuck.

"Scrap! Who puts traps in the middle of nowhere?!"

"I do." Said a voice.

The sound of someone else speaking was enough for you to stop moving and look around. You didn't see anyone at first, but a presence was felt, and you looked up to find a giant arachnid hiding up within the tree behind you.

"HOLY S-"

The face to face meeting was enough to make you jump and stumble a little, but to add to your luck, you lost balance and fell fully onto the web on your back.

"Scrap! Really?!" You groaned to yourself.

The spider bot thing seemed to be amused, but it was hard to read due to no expression on his face. It crawled down from the tree it was hiding in and transformed into its robot form. It hovered over you as you laid stuck in the web.

"Who are you? And what are you doing here?" The bot/con/spider asked, in an almost demanding tone.

"I'm y/n. I didn't mean any trouble, really! I'm just looking for some energon." You replied, hoping he would believe you.

The other bot tilted his head as he looked at you, like he was studying you. It was a pause of awkward silence before he spoke once again.

"...you don't look like an autobot...or a deceptiocon either..." he thought outloud.

"Thats because I'm neither. I tried to stay away from the war, not wanting to be dragged into it. It's been going on long enough..." you stated.

He seemed interested in this answer and if he had eyebrows he would've raised one.

"So you're neutral?" He asked.

"Yeah, I guess that's one way to explain it" you answered.

"What about you? Are you a bot or con?" You asked with interest.

"Neither, I suppose I'm like you, neutral" He replied.

You nodded in acknowledgement.

"Well, I guess we both can relate to something" you nervously chuckled, trying to lighten the mood with a bad joke.

To your surprise, he actually chuckled. He seemed amuse at your joke and a little more interested in getting to know you.

"So y/n, how long have you been hiding here?" He asked.

"Just a bit over a year now. I heard about this planet, but obviously, some issues have not been resolved yet." You sighed.

"Indeed. Some bots don't know when to give up and accept fate." He replied.

"Yeah....But hey. Since I'm not a threat...can you please maybe...?" You gesture to the webs holding you back and he seems to comprehend what you're trying to say right away.

"...I suppose, but if you try something I won't hesitate to harm you." He warned as he used his appendages to release you from the webs.

You stood up to your full height and looked back to him.

"Thank you...uhm. what's your name?"

"Oh, apologies. My name is Tarantulas" He replied.

"Ah, nice to meet you, Tarantulas. If you're not busy...maybe we can go scout for energon together? I'm assuming you're also on the run due to traps being everywhere."

Tarantulas head tilted up in suprise as he looked at your face for any signs of trickery or evil intentions, but he found none.

"If it makes it easier...you can come with me to my lair for some energon. It's safer and hidden so we won't have to worry." He suggested. If you listened really carefully you could almost find a hint of nervousness in his voice.

Giving a kind smile towards him, you extend your hand gently towards him and nod.

"Id like that." You replied.

His frame relaxed slightly as he took your hand and began walking towards his lair. The two of you walked together, and now you had someone who you could trust, and someone who was as neutral as you, and more importantly, you wouldn't be alone anymore.

What are some survive rarepairs you enjoy? Any dynamics you'd ever wanna explore in a shipping sense that you havent?

Uuuuh the main one was Ryo and Minoru but there are two others that I can say I don't necessarily ship (like I'm not actively playing the game and going "these two should kith maybe") but do think could be cute together

The first one is Saki and Miu, maybe not now, but when they're a little older. I like the idea of them post-game letting loose and doing all the things they were never able to before together and just growing closer and closer over time. I feel like they both have a similar quality of simultaneously being very blunt while also being afraid of being themselves too much, and they just kinda,,,get each other. They find each other's flaws endearing; it makes them feel better about their own hang ups. They could look at each other's ugliest sides and still smile and say "I think you're beautiful," and it helps them realize that "yeah, you're right, I am."

They would be super adventurous, going around trying everything from the latest food craze, to escape rooms, to camping, to just anything that catches their interest. They love to explore the world together. I also just like their opposing aesthetics. Cute n creepy. Opposites attract on the surface but actually they have a lot in common <3

They're both pretty perceptive also, so I think they'd both totally notice it if the other was feeling down and go out of their way to do something nice. Saki is good at telling exactly what's bugging Miu and how to fix it. Miu is a little worse at figuring out what'll make Saki happy (but in her defense, Saki is a little more fickle about what will and won't cheer her up), so instead she'll just ask "how can I help" and refuse to take "it's fine" for an answer.

Also think they'd play games and binge shows together. When they can't go outside, they'll just get lost in fantasy instead.

Plus you can't tell me it wouldn't be hilarious if like,,,

Like Minoru's pretty bad too but I feel like the odds of him successfully talking their way out of it if Ryo picked a fight are pretty high. Kaito literally would not even try. "Let's talk about this" is a thought that would never cross his mind for a second. If Ryo wants someone to get punched in the face, someone is getting punched in the face; it's just a question of which one of them is gonna do it first.

Also the kinda couple that wouldn't even look like they're dating in public but are secretly kinda really sappy in private. Lotta leaning against each other and falling asleep on top of each other.

Ryo's a little extremely irritated that Kaito's taller than him even though he's younger. If they're hanging out at home, Ryo keeps making Kaito sit down so he gets to look down at him while they're talking for a change. Half the time he won't kiss him unless he's sitting down either. Kaito thinks it's stupid but goes along with it anyways. It's not his fault if Ryo's kinda cute when he's got that stupid smug smile on his face.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I remember Takuma mentioning that he thought Kaito looked older than he is at first, and I don't think Miu or Kaito ever actually said out loud to everyone else how old they are or what grades they're in...So now I'm thinking it would be really fuckin funny if Ryo thought Kaito was the same age/older than him at first and was devastated to find out he's 14 ladfjak

Bonding

He tries to make time for you when hes not working, he usually takes you out somewhere. Usually dinner or to the mall- hes bit materialistic and he doesn't mind spoiling you. yeah you're right about the ceo shinae thing. the idea briefly jumped into my mind, and i thought it would be interesting in context of yui being denied the position because she's a woman, to see a woman ultimately get it. but yeah on top of it being unrealistic plot-wise, girlboss megacorp ceo is a questionable conclusion for her character. let's scratch that ~

either way the ceo-question will remain relevant for the story because i doubt hirahara corp will fall… and i think ideally it should be someone with the right motivations. to defy yui/take the company from her/to get revenge/out of spite wouldn't be good enough reason because… then what? tbh what i can see happen is that someone reforms the company or at least makes sure these cycles of power abuse don't repeat. it wouldn't solve everything obviously since it's a systematic issue, the problem is ✨capitalism✨ etc etc but it'd be at least something. and between kousuke and nol, i think kou would suit this task more (given he manages to break free from yui), maybe even as a way to redeem himself and "repair" his family reputation. at least this would give him more agency and a better motivation to lead the company than rand's love. it would also tie in with what you said about following the path yui intended, but to turn around and defy her. nol really is a big question mark when it comes to the future plot. yu jing's article will likely spark change in him, but in what way exactly is still unclear. gosh all this is making me so excited for season two and where everyone will be in a couple of years i'm vibrating at a frequency that could shatter glass thinking about it ahhhh!!!!

"She's never really seemed to like things coming to her easy has she" this is actually so interesting. right, her life is already so tough, no one could blame her for choosing the "easier" path or for being like "sorry i can't do this" re: nol. but instead, she's actively throwing herself into this turbulent sea. it's admirable how committed to the role reversal she is (and obviously it's what driving their dynamic forward at the moment).

and while i enjoy how they intuitively get each other on a deeper emotional level, i LOVE that it's not all there is to them. it's true that it's an important additional layer that other pairings don't have, but even without it, they have that easy chemistry, the friendly banter, compatible personalities, similar values... the gradual friendship buildup was not based on their trauma at all (shin was completely clueless). it helps make it less, well, trauma bond-y lol. and it gives us a little "taster" of what this ship could be like too once they're both in a better place ~ it just bothers me when people are like "all nol does is hurting her how is this romantic" and yes he is hurting her and it's an issue, and no one says this particular detail is romantic! but to claim that that's all he does or that it's always going to be like this is just... silly :< maybe it's because of the way nol has been lately (really going through it) - and by lately i mean like the last 80 chapters or so lmao - that some people forget all the positive things he's done - and is still capable of doing - for shinae. like he was the one who made her open up to people again, sparked this character growth in her which improved her other relationships (like with her father, rika, maya, minhyuk), was her emotional support when she was at her lowest (at the formal), had her back at the office, he metaphorically and literally saved her from drowning! shinae even describes him as the sunshine in her rainy life. speaking of which, that entire segment was actually so funny fgshdjk shinae was like "today is about minhyuk! 😊" and meanwhile nol lives in her head rent-free all day 😭 minhyuk: "so maya and m-" shin: "have i ever told u what yeonggi was like? he appeared and suddenly everything was much more vibrant" minhyuk: "🤨?" like girl at this point just write him a love letter 😭

I always assume my followers really like our conversations anyway, because they tend to get a little handful of likes depending on the topic and the tangents we end up going on lmao but AAHHHH yessss look at us, two back to back messages and replies in two days?! Love this for us!!!!! One of the funnest things about replying to you is I feel like we really play off of each other's energy and you come to me brimming with all sorts of fun thoughts and I'm like OH MY GOSH LEMME RUN WITH THIIISSSSS!!!!!

This response touches on some more spoilery things from the last FP episodes so if you don't FP, there will be spoilers!

From a narrative point, I DO love the concept of CEO Shinae in how she is the antithesis of Yui! But a belief I've been hanging on to lately is that where Yui is shadow and darkness, dragging people down into her little pits of nightmare, blinding them to anything but their own struggles and strife, Shinae is the light that illuminates and guides the way. So even if becoming CEO is really not in the cards for her, I think we still get a similar narrative effect in her being able to assist someone else, in being able to shed light on what Yui cloaks in darkness. The conflict at the core of the story is so complex and layered, but I think Shinae as an illuminator strongly benefits team black.

Fortunately we see that Kousuke is starting to peek out from under his blindfold right now, but I'm really worried for how he's going to cope with the fall out - if he comes to the realization that it's true, Nol was never the violent one the way he's been made to believe (and to deeply internalize that belief!) then how will that affect him? All the guilt it will leave him with for how he treated Nol, for the way not only has he viewed him but what he's told others of Nol? That, paired with what he's already realized, that he hurt an innocent kid for no reason, he tore him down and made his life hell and refused to let him ever get ahead, ever have a moment of peace, has GOT to be heavy. And it doesn't even touch on what it means for him that he can't even trust his own mother, that everything she's ever said to him or made him belief, every way she's ever shaped his worldview may in fact be wrong.

Would Shinae be able to help future Kousuke to cope and handle that? Not like, emotional labor help but her unique way of bringing light to a situation that helps them see something else. I mean obviously Kousuke is gonna lmao need some therapy or SOMETHING but I wonder if Shinae would be able to help illuminate for Kousuke that despite everything he's done, he CAN change, he can take agency of his own life, and he can work to bring good where he and his mother have brought bad.

I think, yeah, that's a really good concept about Kousuke being CEO. I know ultimately we'd all like to see Kousuke do what he wants to, be what he wants, find something that brings him joy and passion. It's clear he's good at family business, even if he lacks the personability that Rand and Nol possess. But it always feels like he's trying to tell himself that this is what he wants because deep down he knows it's not, because deep down it doesn't bring him joy. That said, it could be that this is the case because despite all his successes, he wasn't earning the pay off he expected. No matter how smart or good or successful he was, Rand didn't give him the attention - the affection - he sought. So if he took ownership of the company with the explicit reason to keep it out of the hands of Yui, to try to make changes to offset what the the Hirahara family had done, could that give him the passion he needs?

On the one hand, it almost sounds suffocating and smothering. I love the thought of double-agent Kousuke, secretly working with team black to realign the power of the company right under Yui's nose, but also I worry what dealing with her will be like for him when he really starts to grapple with the way she's treated, whenever he finds out she's drugging him, whenever it finally clicks to him that she's never treated him with care. To have to work with her and pretend he's on her side, to pretend he doesn't know all of the things he knows. It sounds so awful and unbearable. But if he truly wants to try to fix things in whatever way he's able to, perhaps it would be worth it.

Cos you're right, I don't think it would necessarily fall, either. Depending on what comes out of Yujing's expose, it could harm their name, but it wouldn't dismantle them in the least. The problem remains that those with money and influence rarely deal with the ramifications of what they do, rarely are punished. They exploit others, take advantage of them, often pointedly mess with peoples' lives and after those people are rendered broken, traumatized, they carry on like nothing is wrong. I think that could be a direction the story would go - that it's difficult to dismantle corrupted power, but if Kousuke could divert the corruption, if he could steer the company in a more ethical direction, gut the corrupt from the ladders of power? I like that idea! I think a lot about where I think this is going to go, because while I'm sure Yujing's expose WILL have some kind of effect, the fact that the story is going to reconvene some years after the effect still means that the story isn't over, the conflict still exists. Yui is SO powerful, and the corruption of the affluent is too prevalent for peace to come easily.

I really like the idea that this could be a solid way for Kousuke to redeem himself and the family name, too. I don't deny that he still has negative traits despite his circumstances. He has believed himself above others, as much as he thinks he's trying to emulate the perfect gentleman Rand believes in Kousuke is still lmao pretty rude and cold. But I think earnestly working to undo what his mother has done, to make up for what she's done would be a really wonderful path for his story. I don't expect Kousuke's personality to change very much, but I think watching him make effort, to try to make up for the terrible things his family has done would be really satisfying. Something Shinae has noted about him is that he's very clearly out of touch with reality lmao, he has very little experience with people outside of his socioeconomic stratosphere, but perhaps his "redemption" arc could include him spending time with the people he was always kept separate from, learning to be a better CEO the way Rand has, but for his own motivation, not for Rand's love. I love that, actually? Who would be better for that role, to remold his lifelong dream and make it for himself, find a way to actually love and care about what he does, for it to be fulfilling for him? aaaaahhhhhh! Also!!!! Back to the point I was getting at lmaooo for all his negative traits, Kousuke is NOT his mother. He may have adopted some of her habits and that will be something he'll have to address and deal with in the future. But we've seen that Kousuke is not the sum of his family. For him to acknowledge how horrible Yui is, the track record of the Kims, the ways people have been hurt and decide to make up for it all, to undo what he can, to actually adhere to moral codes? idk I wanna see that so badly! He's not a lost cause, but he IS lost.

Also I absolutely feel Yujing's expose will be THE spark for Nol. Right now I think he just wants to get away, to be free of Kousuke and Rand and Yui, to go away and find peace. He's still haunted by the guilt he feels about what happened to his mom, still strongly believes that it's because of him, that he caused this, that the bad things happen because of him. But if learns what readers believe, that Yui was behind Nessa's death, that it may not have been a suicide at all? My GOD that changes EVERYTHING for Nol. I don't think it would immediately free him from the guilt he feels, since it's so deeply ingrained in him, but I think it could change enough. For now his goal is to escape, but taking down Yui could be the reason he comes back/remains in the future. Seeing her pay for her crimes could be enough to make him work with the people he wants to escape from. But also I do hope it would help him to process his feelings about his mom, to embrace that he was not the monster he's been made to feel, that the things that happened were so beyond his grasp, and maybe help him to build/foster healthy relationships. To allow himself to be cared about ;A; aaaahhhh feelings!

Also I feel you SO MUCH on that hope!!!! I think Nol kept trying for so long - even up to the night of his hearing - because he so badly wanted Kousuke to be that person, wanted him to forget about father and instead be a team with him. Nol has never had those expectations about Rand that Kousuke did, so it was easier for him to see that, as far as they're concerned, that version of Rand doesn't exist. Instead he sought out the only person who shared commonality with him. I think if Kousuke turns around and shows some of that same persistence with Nol, it would help get through to him. Forgiveness would be difficult and if it never happened, I would fully understand. But I like to hope that a Nol who has grown up a little more and has removed himself a bit could see why Kousuke, being drugged by his mom and having his entire perception of reality warped, would have been so impossible to reach. The shared experience of having their lives made miserable by Yui and wanting to make her pay for what she's done for others and more importantly, wanting to dismantle her ability to further harm others, would be a great starting point. But I just cannot help but hope that from teaming up like that, Nol could find some understanding for him.

A moment I think about a lot LMAO is the episode when Shinae called Rand hot in front of Kousuke and Nol, and while she was in the bathroom changing, Nol was just lmao harping on it and it felt like the closest we've ever seen Kousuke and Nol to being brothers. To getting along. I just!!!! IDK like you I'm hovering over these little crumbs, hoarding them away and just WAITING. I used to think I'd be content with peace, because they desperately need it but.... now I can't help but want a little more. Nol deserves the brother he wanted so badly and Kousuke deserves to know that someone cared about him, even if he shoved him away. There's a lot to work on and I don't think any of it comes easily but, yessss I desperately hope!

(Also fun fact LMAO I, too, have talked about the get along shirt and alfjafjkjkafjf a really sweet fanartist in the ILY Discord server has put it on her list of things to draw!!!!!! PLEASE I so badly want to see Nol and Kousuke in the get along shirt!!!!!!!!)

A theory I've been seeing a lot of people talk about is that Kousuke might end up at the same hospital as Nol to get checked out. Hansuke is concerned about his hormonal balance and wants to get him a head CT. I'm hoping that Kousuke's suspicious feelings about Yui might lead him to a different doctor - does Hansuke's friend work at Hirahara Memorial? Or might Kousuke inadvertantly wind up at the same hospital as Nol? See Nana or Shinae or even later Dieter and Soushi in the waiting room and realize that it must mean that Nol is here and go on a search? Like, I'm really holding out for something like that, too. Kousuke is concerned - no matter what happened during the night, his concern didn't change. I had been so worried that Rand's presence would undo all of the progress Kousuke made, the realizations he came to, but I think yeah this is a GOOD sign. Even when Yui tries to refute his concern, he remains CONCERNED. (And without quite realizing it yet, he's connected that Nol hates tea and now he is being haunted by it....????)

Oh my gosh RIGHT? That's the thing, too, about Nol hurting Shinae at this stage. It's so clear that Shinae is committed, even if she doesn't understand WHY. Even if she hasn't really accepted just what his importance to her is, what he means to her. Even though he's hurt her, she's SO committed. She wants to get through to him - and she wants to see him. The real him, not his mask. She wants to see what he hides and she wants to be privy to who he is.

But YES what really makes episodes 215 through 219 SO special is exactly that - getting to see just who they are together. The banter, the way they play off each other, his dumb jokes and how she pretends to hate it but we can see that she enjoys it, the little looks?! It's that he can feel at peace even in a hospital because she's there, because she can make him laugh, because she can chase away the danger because it's her! It's the way she lit up with joy while they danced, even if that moment hurts SO MUCH, because of how much fun she was having, how much she enjoyed it! It's how she brought in their friends to give him the most special birthday ever, by showing him how much they care about hm. It was such a small thing, calling them, the origami ducks, the paper hats, but it means SO MUCH.

The way they interact is just SO!!! GOOD!!!! One of my favorite moments is after he sneezed on her and she's just like DISGUSTING!!!!!! and that whole conversation about why Lil Buddy is even there lmaooooo idk why but it's SO FUNNY seeing them like that, the dumb faces, calling each other out lmao I've missed it so much, and even though Nol is struggling with accepting peoples' care and being loved, I really look forward to when we get to see them like that again - bantering and the playful bickering and that chemistry of how they play right off each other.

but to claim that that's all he does or that it's always going to be like this is just... silly :< maybe it's because of the way nol has been lately (really going through it) - and by lately i mean like the last 80 chapters or so lmao - that some people forget all the positive things he's done - and is still capable of doing - for shinae.

And that's the thing, too, right - like okay first off, when you start liking someone it's not like a whole.... here's a weighted list of good things vs bad things. It's that for her, at this time, what he does clearly has outweighed the ways he's hurt her. It's that what he means is rooted in far more than the right now, the pain. But also, that's the other thing - NO RELATIONSHIP IS PERFECT. People hurt each other, all the time. Minhyuk hurt Shinae even when his very intentions were the opposite. Shinae has hurt Dieter without meaning to. It's how you work through it, how you make up for it, how you get over it that matters more. Nol seemed to really regret pushing Shinae this time - he expected her to be angry or upset, but he didn't expect her to actually leave, and he's so concerned about her! Even though his whole thing is that he isn't supposed to care he can't help caring, asking Dieter about her, wringing her headband in his hands. Like, call me a hopeful optimist but I think we WILL get to see Nol and Shinae again before he goes off to prison. There's no way they're ending on this note - firstly because from a narrative point it would defeat the whole point of the previous reunion at the Parks and would leave us right where we started, but also because I think we might get to see Nol make the first step. I think maybe Shinae will come back - even if just to retrieve her headband lmao - and hopefully Nol will use that moment to apologize, to acknowledge he hurt her and maybe, hopefully lmao admit that's not what he wants to do? alfjakjfkjafjfa lmao like

idk yeah I get why on the one hand, even if you don't ship Stalkyoo there are people who want Nol and Alyssa to break up - because she keeps hurting him without repent, and seemingly without caring much if she does, or at least not in a way she acknowledges. I bring this up to say I think that's the difference - Nol feels regret for what he's doing and I'm really hopeful we'll see him take responsibility. And that's why it doesn't bother me to continue to ship it - because if he actually takes action, if he wants to do better (even if he won't at this time admit his feelings) that's what matters.

But also yeah the trauma bond is like.... I like to joke about it because what happened at the formal WAS a whole nightmare, but it's really clear that Shinae had been changing how she thinks of Nol even before he was her place of comfort and security at the formal. She felt bad when she thought she was too harsh on him during her break! How far she'd come from cleanly, bluntly rejecting Dieter because it's better to be firm to caring about when she hurts people, caring if she goes too far. It's not that the trauma of what happened at the formal is WHY she came to care about him otherwise wouldn't she feel closer to Kousuke? Like, yeah obviously the trauma brought Shinae closer to Nol, but it was the other things he did, too - getting her away from Alyssa when it was clear she was uncomfortable, retrieving her jacket for her during her dance with Kousuke, the whole going out of his way to make her more comfortable during the dance.

Reducing their relationship to trauma bonding denies the actual friendship development that's occurred as a result of each other caring - of Shinae picking up on the details no one else notices, the way he got her to open up more about her home life, calling him when she was so concerned that what everyone on tv and online was saying about him would be making him feel bad, comforting her even when he's trying to avoid her, the whole fucking scene at the wac lmao

Like, I'm not saying this to make people ship them, but just to note that trying to act like they are merely the result of a traumatic night and that they wouldn't have developed as friends otherwise is unfair. Acting like their entire relationship is just unhealthy trauma bonding instead of acknowledging the genuine reasons they've grown closer to each other and come to rely on each other is unfair. At least give their relationship the credit it deserves for how it's bloomed in the midst of all the cracks ;A;

putting this under a read more bc i ramble a lot

i'm currently finishing up forget me not by alyson derrick. it's pretty good, a little young for me, but i mean, i consciously decided to read a ya novel. it's kind of a typical amnesia trope story, but i'm never going to complain about someone taking a common trope and making it about lesbians so.. also as side note, weirdly i've had this lost au living in the back of my head for like a year that is basically the plot of this book, but i digress.

favorite autumn activity is definitely hiking. my dad loved hiking, so we went all the time when i was a kid, and i grew up in new england where the autumn is especially magical. now, i don't get a chance to go as often, but it's still one of my favorite things in the world.

i love psychological horror/torture type of movies, but they are also the thing that scare me the most. the saw movies, for example, are exactly the type of thing that is super interesting to me, and i've read the majority of the saw wiki, but even reading about them fucks me up. i finally watched the first one last year, by myself, and i was fucking miserable afterward, so i can't let myself watch any more of them alone. basically, if something could somewhat realistically happen, and it involves being put in a situation where you either escape being physically harmed and traumatized or die slowly and painfully, that's my worst nightmare. this is why on lost i'm like oh there's a monster? well, like, what are the chances that i'll encounter that in my life? but when the others abduct claire and walt, and then jack, kate, and sawyer being abducted and just put in a cage/room and being stuck there not knowing what is going to happen them, again, my worst nightmare. (btw i think i mentioned this before but someone needs to make a post with all the parallels between saw and the lost season 3 mini season because they sure are there.)

Please talk about SamSharon. Ever since I watched TFATWS I thought 'Oh. Those two would look good together' and I need to talk about this with someone.

This week has been a special kind of hell so thank you so much for sending me this, Anon! It always makes me happy to talk about SamSharon (I like to call them Shasam, I think it's cute) and I hope it will make you happy too to read this.

You're right, even if we're talking just on an aesthetic level they do look good together. Anthony Mackie and Emily VanCamp are two very good-looking people! Just seeing them together in my icon or in some of the artwork I've been gifted/commissioned of them is enough to bring me joy.

On a deeper level, I think there are so many reasons they would make an incredible couple. They have a lot in common, as I see it - they are both incredibly loyal workaholics who don't seem to have a lot of time for a personal life. I think it would be good for both of them to be with someone who understands that dedication to a greater cause, and at the same time I think they could help each other realize that their work is not the only thing that matters. With their own strong internal moral compasses, neither of them have had issues with defying authority when they felt it was needed (see: Captain America: Civil War) and more recently (see: TFATWS) they have found themselves questioning long-held beliefs. At the end of TFATWS they are both in very different places, but I could really see Sam helping Sharon regain some of the idealism that we see she has lost.

I could go on for much longer (and already did here) so I'll end with one more point for now. I am really drawn to the idea of rewriting one's own destiny, and I think that's one of the things that draws me towards Sam and Sharon. It is possible to see Sharon as a person who is "meant" to end up with Steve, just like she did in the comics, and I think honestly there was a part of Sharon at one point that thought she and Steve were destined to be together. I love the notion of both Sharon and Sam realizing that the right person for them has been in their vicinity for a while, but they just weren't able to see it yet. I think there's something really beautiful about that and that they could become an incredible power couple, fighting side by side and building a life together.

Shipping Shasam

This post that nobody asked for is a long time coming and it is mainly here because of @thorst and @chimerrobang who ruined my plans and asked for it (💞). So, let's go ahead and talk about how much I adore Sam Wilson and Sharon Carter as a ship (Shasam, because every ship needs a cool ship name and I'm trying to make this one happen) and why I think they would be perfect for each other.

Origins

Sharon Carter and Sam Wilson joined the MCU in the same excellent movie, Captain America: The Winter Soldier. CA:TWS is undoubtedly a gamechanger within the MCU, contributing to the overall story in a big way with the fall of SHIELD and still acclaimed as one of the franchise's best movies. It is also one of my personal favorites and though it was not when I started shipping Sam and Sharon, I do think it a nice parallel that were both introduced here as side characters in relation to Steve Rogers. Sam has a better introduction than Sharon, I would argue, but this film was enough to interest someone (me) in them despite not having any familiarity with either character prior to that.

Although they have limited screen time in CA:TWS, we are nonetheless able to catch glimpses into Sam and Sharon's respective personalities. Both of them are extremely loyal, for starters: Sam is ready and willing to assist fugitive Steve and Natasha and Sharon likewise proves her loyalty to Steve when she takes on Rumlow. Their action sequences make it clear that they are very physical fighters, which is by necessity due to the work they do. We also find out that both of them have no issue questioning authority when needed, a topic that comes up again when we see them in Captain America: Civil War.

She Didn't Write It

Sam and Sharon's shared qualities are further emphasized in CA:CW, where they end up working together to help Steve. After Steve sees Sharon at Peggy's funeral, she reminds him that she was doing her job when she was spying on him and seems proud of her new role within the CIA. At this stage in her life, I think it is safe to say work is one of Sharon's highest priorities, and her choice to move to the CIA after SHIELD's dissolution suggests that she feels what she does is important enough to do no matter what form it takes. As for Sam, he also comes across as someone who values his work above most things. He worked as a pararescue whose role was literally to save lives, and he disagrees with the Sokovia accords because he doesn't trust the government to keep tabs on who the Avengers should and shouldn't save.

It is CA:CW that seals the deal in my personal opinion that Sam and Sharon are both workaholics who have never paid much attention to their personal lives. While I don't doubt that there are probably racist reasons for Sam to have never been given a love interest in the MCU, in-universe the only explanation that makes sense to me (I mean, look at him) is that he hasn't had time to worry about that in between working with the Air Force, working for the VA and then becoming an Avenger. He alludes to this in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, when he talks about missing his nephews growing up - I, at least, got the impression that it wasn't just because he was blipped. I don't think it's a stretch to assume that Sharon is similar, although admittedly we don't see her much outside of professional situations.

All of the qualities I've mentioned so far are ones that I could see as being points of connection for Sam and Sharon. I like relationships that are founded in common ground, and I see plenty of it to work with here. I don't think Sam or Sharon would be happy with someone who didn't understand the importance of their work to them, and being with each other would allow them to be fully open about that aspect of their lives. Likewise, they share a strong moral compass, which could permit them to understand and empathize with each other's decisions. Crucially, though, I also think together they could also have that personal life that they've been brushing to one side for so long. Having those shared values could allow them to make space for each other, and for something more than what they do.

One of my favorite scenes in CA:CW now is a two-line exchange, where Sam objects to the term 'bird costume' and Sharon counters with: "I didn't write it." It's a very small moment, and I'm not saying for a minute that the writers did this intentionally, but looking at it from a character perspective, Sharon absolutely did not have to defend herself in that moment. She is interested in Steve as far as we know and she barely knows Sam, but she still makes a point of making sure that he knows she didn't write it. She doesn't say much, but she could be saying a lot, like that she respects what Sam does and wouldn't dismiss him in that way. If anything, the fact that she is later the one to steal his wings back together with the shield, only underlines that idea.

All the Sh*t Sharon Had to Go Through

I first started thinking about Sharon and Sam as a ship around the time it was announced that Sharon was going to be in TFATWS. Even though the show panned out differently than I had imagined with respect to Sharon, I think it is full of breadcrumbs that could lead to a relationship in the new Captain America movie. The Sharon we see in TFATWS is hardened, disillusioned and, in my view, playing the role of her life. In order to survive, she's had to seal every crack of vulnerability, like the one that made her kiss Steve in CA:CW. She is cavalier when she asks about Captain America in Madripoor, but she does still ask, and then uses it as an opportunity to show how little she supposedly cares. The actions she takes in the show don't make sense just on the basis of her being the Power Broker, and I think this is partially bad writing, but if we take it at face value we could see it as her wavering in her commitment to her newfound attitude. She helps Sam in situations where she could have gotten rid of him and Bucky or ignored them, even to her own detriment. At the end of the show, she even saves Sam's life. Sam, meanwhile, seems to be the only person who really cares about what has happened to Sharon. He reminds Bucky that she was branded enemy of the state, he apologizes to her more than once for the situation she ended up in, and he brings her up again much later when he is laying out on the table all the trouble the shield has caused. He promises her a pardon and asks her to come back to the United States, all because it seems to matter to him whether or not she is OK.

There is also all the flirting, of course. Sharon's reaction to seeing Sam shirtless is to say "Much better." In that same scene, after making his agreement with Sharon, we see Sam grinning and watching her as she walks away. Sharon calls Sam "a friendly voice" and Sam smiles when he is messaging her. In the last episode, Sharon, who had spent so much time previously mocking the idea of Captain America, tells Sam the suit looks good on him. It would certainly be possible to look at this cynically, and perhaps suggest Sharon is putting on a performance to help secure the pardon she wants. The way I choose to look at it is that Sharon is being who she has always been, someone dedicated to service and who is extremely efficient at what she does. Those qualities are, incidentally, ones I think Sam would look for and value in a partner. They could also be indications that Sharon as she used to be is not entirely gone, and that Sam gives her the opportunity to allow that idealistic version of herself to come to surface.

The Future

Going forward, I think with all the groundwork that has been laid out, Sam and Sharon could flourish into a great love story in future Captain America movies and shows. We could see Sharon start to doubt the image she felt she had to build to survive, in parallel with her developing feelings for Sam that she never expected. For his part, I think even if there was some initial conflict, Sam would ultimately be understanding about what led Sharon to where she was and value her for who she is.

United, they could make an incredible team. Just as they complement each other in many ways, they could also bring out the best in each other. Sharon is someone who very much sees the world as it is and I think Sam does too, but he also sees the world as it could be. There's a beautiful push and pull there between a spy who deals with threats on the ground level and a former soldier who can literally fly. Sam also takes things less seriously than Sharon, and I think could help bring out a lighter side to her, as we got just a hint of in some of their banter in TFAWTS. Logistically, Sharon as Sam's love interest also makes a lot of sense given that she has been in his orbit for a long time already and they have a pre-established relationship. Developing that would be more interesting in my view than try to introduce somebody new.

Zooming out to a more meta perspective, I think there's some serendipity in the fact that both Sam and Sharon have at times been underrated/undervalued by the fandom at large. Sam has been repeatedly dismissed as Captain America even since having officially taken up the title, and Sharon has a long history of being reviled mainly (I guess) for having the audacity to kiss Steve Rogers. I am a Steve fan myself, but since he clearly isn't going to be a big part of the movies going forward, I am thinking about what the MCU looks like without him. I don't know what's going to happen in the future, obviously, but how great would it be to see two people that formerly were seen mostly in relation to Steve find love with each other and become an unstoppable power couple?

The beauty of Sam and Sharon is that they each can totally stand on their own, as independent characters, and they could also be incredible together. I, for one, would absolutely love to see them as our Captain America and Agent 13. ❤️🤍

So I've resonated with some aspec things but also not felt like I'm on the a spectrum.

(I know these are not definitive and having or not having these does not constitute asexuality, nor anything on the aspectrum, and that these vary and don't necessarily determine nor undermine the validity among the people on the aspectrum.

These experiences and events have it so as these make my feelings as to being asexual unlikely and that I'm not.

The same applies to the aromantic, or any other parts.)

Like I'm not asexual I want sex, I have a high libido, I get horny, I've masturbated more than I believe is common for my agab, and I've never had sex so I can't really say, right, and that unpleasant sexual harassment didn't change much in me, I just want VERY consensual sex.

But I don't think I feel sexual attraction like everyone else, like people have described theirs, i don't just see someone and think I wanna fuck them. I see someone in public and I wanna be someone special in their life not just date them, like I feel like it seems like I'm saying when I mention it

I'm not aromantic, for example, I'm SOO desperately lost as a hopless romantic, I WANT LOVE I want to share secrets to understand someone and be understood, almost every social media account I have has a saved folder with a heart or the word love (with the plans of showing anyone who's fallen in love with me, when I needed to give myself a reason yk.)

But I've never felt something I'd label romantic attraction, I chose my first crush (hehe he still wears Remus sweaters like everywhere, aesthetic) maybe it's only recent that I've realized I could feel something for people now(religious trauma) (can't date till you're 40 jokes) that I could get in a relationship with someone. And maybe it's the overuse of the word love in everyday language, but I don't really feel anything when someone says "I love you" to me, I say it back, but there's no deep feeling put into it. We've said it in tears knowing we won't see each other physically for years and I know I'll miss them, and I cry and there's a feeling there but I don't feel for it long, but there's no existential pain in knowing. Maybe I've just stuffed all feelings down for so long and maybe I don't know how to not do it and maybe I'm numb about it because I've already stuffed any feelings down subconsciously.

But maybe someone special will show up in my life maybe they'll be a certain gender that assures me in my sexual attraction maybe they'll make me feel something so I know love exists and romance is possible, and we can do everything together, sex and cuddles in the sun and sharing and enjoying each others interests together and seperate but close, but that means there has to be another person.

But oh platonic love!!!!🥰🥰�� it's not romantic and it's oh being ever so close to someone but without the expectations of a romantic relationship. It's truly pure love it's a 🥰 but not 😍 and without the expectations of 😘

But I've never been very good at having friends, close friends or even just acquaintances, they've always petered out after some time and practically non existent after a week or two if it's online not almost daily, like living together is what it would take, almost. (Hey bestie who's my sister who doesn't have Tumblr and will probably never see this lol) and even relationships with grandparents and extended family members who don't live close, and we don't spend constant or regular-ish time conversing or spending with each other, are nearly nonexistent if we're not together and spending time juntos.

So maybe it's my trauma or mental illness (pretty sure I have ADHD, depression, anxiety, and the like but I've never been diagnosed so...🤷‍♂️) and I truly don't know how to have and keep up a relationship, or maybe it's because every relationship I've ever had, sexual or romantic or platonic, has not been balanced ⚖️ probably very one-sided without either of us consciously knowing.

ANYWAY

I found the term "alterous attraction" about 2-3 hours ago:

"Alterous attraction is a type of attraction that is not entirely/neither romantic or platonic. It’s seeing someone and immediately going “I must become very close to them” but like. Not in a romantic way. By nature, it’s meant to be nebulous so for some people it might feel closer to romantic attraction while for others it might be closer to platonic."

I feel closer with this description and phrasing than to those of love and attraction (and trust me, I've read many of those. We're you aware that the ancient Greeks had seven to nine words for love each with different descriptions and definitions?) It's the same comfort as I felt with the label pangender, nebulous, I don't have to decide which gender I am, male, female, non binary, it's nebulous and I can be all or some without distinction. Without distinction, is what I feel sexual, am I fetishizing? Is what I feel romantic, is this what love feels like? Is it platonic, intimate and affectionate but not sexual?

"Alterous attraction is the desire to be emotionally close to someone. it’s not romantic attraction but it’s also not quite platonic, so it’s a “weird” gray area that some identify as being between the two or just completely different. alterous attraction can also be used to describe attraction that is confusing, can’t be determined by the person experiencing it, or can’t be labeled/described by typical or amatonormative terms. hope this helps!"

There's truly no need to specify. Nebulous and no need for distinction it can be romantic and platonic, either or neither, or somewhere in between.

Honestly I just WANNA be close with someone and I don't know if that's trauma or I'm just very touch deprived. Which I am/have both to an EXTREME extent

Feeling alterous attraction doesn't have to make me identify on the aspectrum.

I am valid in identifying that I feel alterous attraction while also not identifying as being on the aspectrum.

Tldr: I trauma dump and realize the attraction I feel can be accurately labeled as as alterous attraction 🫶

without further ado, Perseus' C supports with Mercedes and Lorenz! they play out much the same, but also VERY differently, aha.

MERCEDES

[-c: they play a game together.] PERSEUS: Oops, it's the moon. A symbol of secrets and illusions… I won't be earning this trick, at any rate. MERCEDES: Ah, but it's hardly all doom and gloom. It can also mean imagination and fantasy, right? PERSEUS: Oh, are you familiar with this game? MERCEDES: Mm-hm! I used to see it played quite a bit when I was younger. Did you learn it along your travels? PERSEUS: Actually, I picked it up in my hometown. MERCEDES: Interesting… I bet I could guess where you grew up, then! PERSEUS: If you'd like, then by all means. MERCEDES: Hmm… Did you, by any chance… live in Boramas? PERSEUS: Nope. MERCEDES: Then Enbarr, perhaps? PERSEUS: Close. My father's territory was just east of Enbarr, on the southern coast. MERCEDES: Ah, I seem to remember something like that. So you were born to House Centoleau? That's a very recent barony, isn't it? PERSEUS: Er, yes. I seem to have talked myself into a bit of a corner, though… MERCEDES: Forgive me! I don't mean to bring it up if you don't want to talk about it. MERCEDES: I just find it funny that we both began in the Empire, and we both ended here. MERCEDES: With no more titles or honours to our names… Now, we're simply ourselves. PERSEUS: Yeah…. It's quite nice. PERSEUS: Shall we go another round, then? MERCEDES: Oh, of course!

(I've got synopses written up for future supports, but to put it shortly Mercedes and Perseus have quite a bit in common!)

[-c: they're at tea together.] PERSEUS: I do appreciate your humouring me with this. I wouldn't normally trouble someone of your position, but I felt we might have things in common. LORENZ: Nonsense. We as noble folk relish the opportunity to form cordial relations with our subjects. And I can always make time for tea of such quality. LORENZ: It's quite incredible, you know. PERSEUS: Hm? LORENZ: I've noticed that for a commoner, your tea etiquette is immaculate. The shape of your dominant hand is perfectly formed, and I haven't heard your spoon clatter against your cup once. LORENZ: If I didn't know better, I'd think that you were raised by only the finest noble standard. PERSEUS: Ah… Well, um, thank you…. LORENZ: Who taught you? If you're not of noble standing, then surely you must've learned from someone who was. PERSEUS: Oh, you know, I've picked up many things on my travels. It's, ah, not really important just where… LORENZ: But it's quite important! Really, the art of etiquette is nearly lost nowadays. LORENZ: You'd be astonished how much even some nobles fail to grasp. first of all, who even does that someone?? rude..

now you and kaeya know that it's a common phrase that people now say because of tiktok, i mean like you have to admit.. you both have done that to each other but it was all jokes and meant nothing more.

today you and kaeya decided to go shopping and then go to the park to hangout and just have fun over all

after shopping you and kaeya headed over to a park where it's well known for lovers being there and stray cats wandering around(and because some allow you to touch them)

once arrived there you practically dragged kaeya to one of the cats and started to pet them, you crouched down to pet them and as you do so the cat melted into your touch as it moved closer to your hand and snuggled against your palm and at that moment you started crying happy tears.

kaeya panics are first but calms down as he sees you hugging the cat while.. crying..

yea. everyone was giving you guys the stink eye LMFAO

kaeya moves closer to you as he waves his hand around, trying to get your attention as he starts to panic more cuz here you are crying your eyes out while cuddling a cat saying stuff like "you're so cute!!" or "I WISH I COULD ADOPT YOUU"

that was when someone kaeya knew came across you two, they were staring at you.. in a confused yet weirded manner.

"oh kaeyaaaa what's up?" "uhm. nothing much" he says that while trying to cover you up but obviously fails.

after you calmed down you, kaeya and his friend started to talk about whatever - when they brought up the topic about cats you went BALLISTIC. you went on to rant about them because?? you love cats so much.

kaeya literally stared at you in awe.. heart shaped pupils forming.. HELLO????

kaeya loves to hear you rambling on and on about whatever nonsense because he just loves the way your eyes light up when you start to talk more about the topic.

so when his friend starts to talk about cats and you just light up almost immediately and you know.. start blabbering about whatever, kaeya's full concentration was on you.

after a few rants about cats being "cute" and "so so adorable" kaeya's friend suddenly said "who", you stopped talking and turned to the person and gave them a confused look.

you then resumed to ranting about kittens and then they said "asked".. how did you not realize? perhaps you were too lost in your thoughts about kittens.

kaeya's first reaction was to choke out a laugh but once seeing your face saddening he immediately stopped.

you looked at kaeya and gosh.. those eyes SCREAMED sadness.

you looked down, obviously sad and when kaeya looked at his friend they were LAUGHING. okay kaeya has been mad before but seeing his friend laughing after making YOU sad was enough.

"lets go y/n" "huh?" kaeya swung his arm around and you two hurried away.

you were still upset by that comment but once away from that friend you started to feel more calm and relieved

kaeya apologized and you forgave him tho it wasn't his fault(but he still laughed so..)

and so when you two got home kaeya listened to your ramblings and chimed in when he heard something interesting

in all honesty, he sometimes acts cold towards that friend because they made you sad and that is one of the many things that kaeya hates to know you feel.

he blocked them. no comment on that.

streamer! xiao x s/o! reader

you and xiao were on facetime with one of xiao's friend as they were "begging to meet you" and xiao was getting annoyed with their complaints so he asked you for permission and when you agreed xiao hit them up and you two started to chat for a bit

you and xiao's friend got along pretty quickly and xiao was just there, sitting right beside you, hands clasped together and it just just pretty awkward(in xiao's pov)

and then all of the sudden his friend said something that immediately peaked your interest and your body jumping caught xiao's attention

apparently his friend has mentioned a game that you and xiao both loved and as soon as he said the name you just kind or perked up and that's what caught xiao's attention.

xiao didnt talk at all but you and his friend did

you started to comment and talk about the game and asked if he wanted to play with you and xiao but then they answer with a "who"

you stop talking and respond with "me and xiao of cours-" but before poor you could even finish your sentence they immediately say "asked" and you just stopped

xiao was 1, surprised and 2, annoyed + irritated

first they bug him about meeting you and once they DO meet you they just say that one annoying ass sentence. "who asked" mf if u dont shut ur mouth

you awkwardly laugh the comment off but it was pretty obvious that you were hurt because you really loved and admired the game and when someone responds with a "who asked" it just kind of hurts

trust me, it really does

xiao's just done with his friend and ends the call, he looks at you and can CLEARLY tell that you're hurt.

his gaze softens and his heart is aching :(

he wants to hug you and just hold you in his arms forever - and that's what he's doing.

being in a call with that person was really suffocating and xiao's warm embrace relieves and calms you down

"dont mind him, he's just a dumbass - wanna talk about it with me?" and with that your eyes sparkled and you nod happily

he loves you so god damn much what ;(

you two also spend the WHOLEEEEEE afternoon playing that game together <3 if it's a team vs team xiao will deff kill the enemy whenever they're near you, before they even get the chance to shoot you they're already down.

if xiao's in the opposite team as you he would NOT kill you, ever. he gives you his revival/aid materials and if he could, he would kill all his team members just to make sure that you dont die, how romantic..

he's so offended.

the fact that they have the AUDACITY to say that in front of him, YOUR boyfriend.

you and zhongli was in a stream with other streamers, they wanted to collab with zhongli and he agreed ofc but YOU had to be in it because why not? you were his s/o after all

they were a bit annoyed because they just wanted to collab with only zhongli(for the money duh) not you.. but they agreed anyways because anything for that money ig!!

it was going fine and you were the one mostly talking, zhongli was listening(HE ALWAYS.) and nodding along and the other streamer was just looking so tired and annoyed

"are you okay __?" "oh yea yea im totally fine" ":("

zhongli knows why they're annoyed and it kind of ticked off at that.

like yes, you have the right to be mad at whoever and whatever but you need a valid REASON. and their reason is just dumb and zhongli has the right to be pissed off.

"oh! and you guys know about __ right? the game is so fun and cool!! you guys should totally check it out, they have so many choices to choose from - from the weapons, to skins and-"

i think you know what's going to happen.. and it did happen.

"who asked? like genuinely" now this sentence was often used as a joke you know? but the way they spoke, their tone was most definenetly not in a joking manner

well they were going to say it sooner or later as you noticed their mood worsening and the way they kept on "tsk"ing you just made it obvious

obviously you're still hurt and decide to shut up. zhongli is now offended and wants them to leave.

everyone in the other streamers chat were also pissed of, you were always kind no matter what. most people would've lashed out on that person but you? you didn't. you apologized and quieted.

most of the other streamers viewers were zhongli's.

and they know that you're zhongli's s/o and the fact that they just did that to you, in front of zhongli? they must have a death wish or something..

zhongli sighs but everyone could tell that it was a agitated and annoyed sigh

"listen, if you're going to disrespect my s/o like that you might as well leave. i'll be cutting this collab with you, no "im sorry" or "i apologize"'s will be taken. leave now"

the streamer tried to apologized but zhongli was not having it.

you tried to stop zhongli by saying stuff like "no- zhongli it's fine.." or "it was my fault im sorry"

"it's not your fault love. it's their fault"

god if only you knew how much zhongli's blood boiled whenever he thinks about that moment.

the person thankfully and finally left and cut the collab, zhongli ended the stream and went to you and comforted you - he knew how much you loved talking about that game and he knew that you were hurt, zhongli spends the next hour ordering food and snacks for you, he sets up a movie screen and you two watch one of your favourite movies <3 anything you like, zhongli immediately likes too!!

btw, zhongli blocked that streamer because he just knows what they're after for, money - and because they were rude to you.

when that streamer made a new account just to talk to zhongli through insta they wrote a whole paragraph apologizing and asking if they could collab again and zhongli responds with a "who asked?" and they're left on seen(forever).
