Summary: While overcoming recent heartbreak, you decide to join Tinder in search of a rebound. Your friends advise to just Swipe Right indiscriminately... What happens when 4 soldiers from the same squad match with you?
Chapter 3: Simon
After doing the dishes, you moved yourself over to the living room and turned on the TV. Some rerun of an older season of Law and Order was playing.
You started watching but you found your eyes drifting back to your phone…
Against your better judgement, you clicked on the Tinder app icon again. Maybe, maybe you should swipe just a little more.
And so you did.
Today you said ‘Fuck you, Beyoncé’ and always went to the Right, to the Right.
Just as you were pondering another profile, the screen darkened with a ‘It’s a Match!’ notification, making you jump a bit, as usual.
You clicked the profile and your brow scrunched.
You didn’t remember liking this one… Though you obviously did, after all, you were liking everyone.
The only picture wasn’t even anything. It was dark and grainy and the man was wearing a black disposable face mask. If that even was him. Could just be a random picture off-Google, picked by someone who wanted to be anonymous. Not quite a catfish but close enough…
“Simon.” You said softly and dragged your finger through the screen to read his bio. For a moment you couldn’t help but smirk a little. He was sarcastic, a bit strange, but charismatic in his own way.
“Bad jokes, Bourbon, Discreet…” You mused while scanning his profile. “Tall enough.” You read aloud and couldn’t help but laugh at it. That made you feel like he was short.
Against your better judgement for the second time, you decided to send him a DM instead of waiting for him to. Something told you he wouldn’t.
you: tall enough - does that mean you’re below 6ft?
Simon: No.
Simon: Means that I have inches to spare.
you: was that a dick joke?
Simon: No.
Simon: Unless you wanted it to be.
You snorted softly under your breath. Of course he was a smart ass too…
you: ambiguous, i like it.
you: so how tall are you then?
Simon: Does it matter?
you: no. just curious.
Simon: 6ft4.
you: that feels like a lie.
Simon: I avoided putting it for a reason.
you: worried people would call you a liar?
Simon: No use. Going to be called it regardless.
you: that’s fair ig.
you: what’s a traveling consultant?
Simon: Similar to a contractor. Get brought in to help businesses all over the world.
you: what kind of businesses?
Simon: That’s need-to-know.
you: you type so formally and professionally jeez.
you: will i ever get to know?
Simon: Force of habit. Don’t text a lot.
Simon: Not if I can help it.
you: somehow i can tell.
you: what are you doing here then?
Simon: Curiosity mostly.
you: trying to see if you attract any fish? 👀
Simon: Something like that. A friend is on here. Wanted to see what all the fuss is about.
you: i see.
you: got anything yet?
Simon: No. But only created this 12 minutes ago.
you: am i your first then?
Simon: Not my first in anything, love.
Your eyes widened a bit and for some reason you found yourself getting a bit flustered, your face warming up just a bit.
you: does that mean you’ve hooked up with people through a dating app before?
Simon: Something of the sorts.
you: aw, im really not going to be your first.
Simon: That’s alright. You can come see me either way.
Simon: I’m sure you’ll find some other thing to be the first at.
Your breath got caught in your throat and you started sputtering. That came out of left field! He had gone from professional and mild-mannered to… flirty so quickly! Gulping, you tried to answer him with something coherent and funny.
you: idk what if you murder me?
Simon: I promise I won’t.
you: is that meant to be enough to convince me? 🤨
Simon: I’ll leave all my guns at home.
you: the fact you have more than one is not reassuring the way you think it is.
Simon: If it makes it any better, I wouldn’t need a gun to kill you.
Even though you don’t know this man, you can imagine that he’s laughing to himself behind his phone screen, all smug, thinking he’s funny. And, the worst part, is that he is.
you: reassuring. thanks.
Simon: Glad to be of service.
you: i think what makes it worse is that uve not got a pic of ur face.
Simon: Wouldn’t hook up with a bloke with his face covered?
you: no? are u trying to get me axe murdered? bc thats how u get axe murdered simon

you: u sure? a masked face with a mysterious job and a suspicious amount of guns… sounds like the upgraded version of ghostface… except online rather than over the phone.

you: probably a mix of both.

Simon: Meet up with me for drinks. No pressure on time or place. You can even postpone if it comes down to it. My job is unpredictable enough so I might have to postpone too.
Your eyes widened. The first attempt at flirting from him, of inviting you for a shag, had been clearly sarcastic… But this one is genuine.
you: ill get back to u on that, is that okay?
Simon: No sweat.
Simon: And if you’re just being polite and not actually going to text me again then: This was fun. Enjoyed myself. Take care.
You bit your lip to suppress a smile when you saw his polite goodbye. He was… sweet, weirdly enough.

i read this article yesterday and my overall feelings towards it are that this doesn't change anything for me and shouldn't change anything for most people
the gist of the article seems to be that taika got offered the thor ragnarok job and it came with a ridiculous paycheck and there was no way he was ever going to turn it down (valid). chelsea didn't want to put her own career on the backburner or uproot her kids to move to australia while he was directing it (also valid). this led to their relationship breaking down, which is totally understandable, because if you're in a couple it's really fucking difficult when you're forced to make a decision that is going to heavily favour one person.
he may or may not have cheated. if he did, he's not the first person to cheat, and he won't be the last. if he didn't, that doesn't mean the relationship was perfect and had nothing else going on.
i will happily sit here and call people out for spreading misinformation about taika when it's demonstrably false (clock my pinned post etc). but i've never engaged with any of the shit about 'he cheated on his wife' 'he abandoned his kids' 'he's a bad dad' etc because ultimately i don't know anywhere near enough about his family to make a judgement on that, it would be very weird if i did, and i don't care!
i don't know the guy! i'm never going to meet him! he's never going to directly impact my life or the lives of anybody i care about! i really enjoy his art, and one of my main hobbies is shitposting on this hellsite about a show that he's a lead actor in, and i appreciate an attractive gifset of him, but that's where it stops.
maybe he cheated on his wife. maybe he's a terrible father. it doesn't matter to me bc i'm not going to marry him and he's not my dad. he's a good director and a good actor and that's as far as i'm interested.

is there a specific age that you think pressure to wear makeup was at its highest? like do you think there's more pressure as you get older or more pressure when you're young?
(you can use ur best judgement to decide if you're qualified to answer-- in my experience most radfems on here are under 30 so we all only have so much life experience🤷♀️)
context (readings not necessary to vote): I'm 17 and so I'm highschool-aged although I've dropped out, but I still hang around highschool and college aged people and I genuinly cant imagine more pressure to wear makeup than right now. maybe it's j being a teenager ? or like idk hormones too?? but it feels indescribable and I've talked to my friends (and mom, see below) abt this and my friends also feel that sooooo much. which is maybe super self absorbed to think im at the age where its the worst so i could deffffinitely be way off. but do u think theres any relief as you get older? I talked to my mom about it and she does wear makeup, but she said something abt how it's nice to just be a "random non descript middle aged woman," and how that's kind of affected her own self image (in a good way). like she still feels the pressure to be beautiful, but maybe less so ? just curious what yall think!!

Btw, i wanted to ask: what makes you hc Gerry as transfem? I'm more of a nb/transmasc gerry leaning person but i love reading about different interpretations of characters and you are obviously very passionate About it (feel free to ignore if its an uncomfortable question, there's no judgement behind it-im just curious.)
hello hello! no worries, i didn't perceive any judgment here, this is all in good fun! my gerry is on the nonbinary side of transfem anyway (which to me is an important thing to portray in general) but it is special to me both for logical reasons and just because it just feels so healing to me. i wrote a big meta about it here a really long time ago, and answered a more recent ask here, so i'll mostly just link those to avoid being too repetitive.
however, to me (just me personally!) the logic comes in as like... mary calls him gerard. she doesn't exactly strike me as a supportive ally parent who would gender her trans son correctly. eric also refers to gerry as his son, and he died when gerry was like 2, which is a little early for a kid to know they're trans. thirdly, he has a canon preference for a nickname that Isn't the name his mother calls him, which to me can signify dysphoria, and that chosen name happens to be a little more androgynous! plenty of women use the same nickname.
i don't believe canon gerry would have really had much of a chance to explore this side of him, as i also just believe he's a late bloomer, so to me it usually comes out easier in AUs where he's able to live for once. live free of his oppressive mother and her expectations of A Son And Heir, live free of the violence of his childhood and the things she made him do, live as a softer person. i think he would benefit from letting himself be softer, i think he would feel healthier and stronger and more himself if he gained some distance from The Son And Heir archetype forced on him from Pretty Much Birth. there are things to be said about what's expected of "sons" and how awfully people are often treated to try and mold them into the right kind of son, and that's something that gerry's story strikes close to for me.
all of that, and i also just find tenderness in this HC that fills my heart with love! i have gotten to write some really beautiful moments of exploration and intimacy and solidarity through this portrayal of him and it's just been so warm. so many people, especially on this site and especially fucking lately, have been expressing ideas that suggesting that someone might be transfem is inappropriate compared to suggesting that someone might be transmasc, that being transfem is a bad thing or a curse or an insult, and ngl it's all such bullshit.
we need kinder and more loving portrayals of transfeminine people of all walks just in general. and sometimes you just get the egg vibes off of somebody and it's okay. so, yes! i simply think estrogen could have saved her.

im curious how you envision bran and jaime's reunion going down? or at least your thoughts on their future relationship? if jaime is making it to winterfell to fight in the long night which i think he does he will certainly have to fight his case. i personally think whats gonna bridge the gap between dany + the starks and jaime is brienne, tyrion and JO bringing the lannister army). but jaime's adwd chapter and the whole idea of forgoing blood feuds is definitely foreshadowing for the starks and lannisters in my opinion. anyway i kinda went off track but yeah bran lol
i do desperately want a bran jaime interaction in the books. and not really like the one in the show. though in some ways the show version is the worst thing jaime can get because it is so ‘neutral’. it is not forgiveness nor is it damnation and judgement/punishment. and from what we have seen in the books and his confessions it does drive him crazy if he does not get an answer. because then he has to fill up the blanks. and that leads to worst case scenario. so that is kind of torturous and sexy to me personally, but what bugs me about the show version is just the handling of bran’s character in general, and also how none of this was fleshed out on jaime’s part either really. in terms of book canon, i actually would really like jaime not receiving forgiveness from him necessarily. bran being unable to fully give it. like i do not think it is necessary for bran for catharsis, though george has his own view of forgiveness, and he expressed it regarding jaime in specific a lot:
“he said something like he wanted to explore the concept of forgiveness (with jaime) and whether it's ever possible to be forgiven for doing such horrible things, and that his goal was to ask the question, not give an answer.” (2006)
“One of the things I wanted to explore with Jaime, and with so many of the characters, is the whole issue of redemption. When can we be redeemed? Is redemption even possible? I don't have an answer. This is one of the areas where I'm asking the next question-just the two of us talking here, but also in my fiction. Is there the possibility of redemption? How do we forgive people? the whole concept is a prevalent motif all throughout his chapters very obviously, has been explicitly mentioned since his second asos chapter, and interrogated a lot through his journey in affc. but what i think i would personally like is the reality that sometimes changing does not result in absolution. some actions you cannot come back from like that. you are not entitled to the forgiveness of the individuals you hurt so drastically, even if you have changed. certain things cannot be reversed or undone. but that puts the weight back on you. you might have done things that are unforgivable to certain people. and i like the question that poses. like what then? what is reformation truly about? that should not mean you stop changing. anyhow, the result i would want from a jaime/bran interaction is jaime psychological torture chamber of his own making and some kind of catharsis for bran 😁 jaime is a very mature interrogation of redemption, and george so far did not simplify it or make it easily digestible. despite his personal beliefs, and how they have evolved a little bit over time slightly it seems, i do think george is still posing a question rather than giving a clear cut answer, and i do believe someone like bran not fully forgiving him would fit that. as for the rest, i wont extrapolate that much. we will see, i might change my mind depending on what things happen

this is a dinoverse oc (because lately a certain friend of mine has been drawing me into this neat game and honestly i love it), based from brahms heelshire (duh). instead of him being a rat wall (which my oc actually also has a room in the walls but just simply doesnt live there), its his 'wife' that lives there. or so he thought. or so i thought. idk man she maybe lives in the walls or just straight up dead it'd be a mystery instead ig. im more leaning to shes living in the walls, but she is scared of jameson. more to that yes.
i was intending to make him killed his wife but im still contemplating to make the continuation of it. is she dead? is she alive? if so is she in the walls? if she is what is the solemn reason she stays there? fear? or did jameson trapped him? i have more question of him its actually scary.
i know you guys would probably not read those sentences i made in like half to 4 am so i give you
bullets headcanons or just the timeline of his:
his parents is a really strict parents with high standards.
he is very pressured which shapes the personality of him that is perfectionist and doesnt really care for others. also he is very bad at delivering his actual emotion so he looks like a resting bitch face most of the time.
this causes many of his playmates just like naw mommy i dont want to play with this boy, hes real annoying.
and also he doesnt even have that many time to think about friendship anyways.
until this one playmate, a blond girl stayed long enough that when she stop showing up, jameson starts asking about her.
his parents is very thrilled about this that they literally begged the girl to comeback to the mansion.
actually the girl was just really curious about violins and other music instrument, and jameson is basically a walking band (actually its basically just piano, violin and flute mainly).
and jameson didnt expect that his parents would bring her back because he just asking where she went and was about to just continue on with his life.
well now they just like. hating each other. theyre like i didnt want this- AND SO AM I LEAVE ME BE!!!
they have 3 years age gap fyi idk
more and more years passed and jameson doesnt really have a friend other that this girl and they know each other too well now.
they memorized each other habit on the back of their head and often use each other (?)
that girl has a lot of problem with her friends since she become jameson playmate so she often use his name to slip away from her friend group. which they idk kinda judgemental to everyone.
and jameson uses her name as an excuse from his BUSY schedule. also she knows a lot about him WHICH his parents dont.
yeahh and so he come to success by being a professional violinist and that girl is like, prepared to be his bride??????
i mean she doesnt mind anymore but like

well jameson did something about it and her parents let her do her own things BUT YOU ARE STILL MARRYING JAMESON
she like yeah yeah and go venture on her own idk making a shop or working in the government.

she is working as *drumroll queue* administration for the voorhees company. (is that right i feel like voorhees is a company there)

ok then after she went, this girl barely contacted anyone from his family
even jameson. oh EVEN JAMESON. she didnt even bother to send him regards or something. jameson too dont give a shit.
they occasionally meet each other at parties but like simple his and leaves
until jameson parent died. both of them. in the same time. in a weird but also not really.
then the girl hears about this and attends the funeral.
in which she meets jameson again, and he is not crying. at all.
he did cried on her so
long story short they bond with each other again and get married.
and this is where shits got fucked up (eventually) .
yeah so their interest is not really.. compatible for each other.
and both of them changed through out the years they have been seperated
and jameson is real different. especially after his parents death.
he become more secretive than ever. more aware of anything.
on one side its a good thing that he almost never let any inconvenience go unnoticed but there are a lot of things that goes noticed that shouldnt??
but its still the same jameson. the one boy who was so in love with music that its the sole reason he keeps up with the strict schedule of him.
even the girl is sorta changed?
they often broke into an argument over basically anything. misplaced stuff? jameson angry. opening some specific windows in the girl's room? shes pissed as hell. fortunately the mansion is big enough to contain their yelling.
whats unfortunate though is that of the same reason. nobody can hear the screaming.
years passed and theres about no news from these two since the beginning of chaos.
jameson keeps gatting more fame and his 'wife' is now forgotten.
everytime they asked about her he just simply say that shes fine and other sorts. it almost sounded like she is living a happy life as a wife.
oh and also
jameson is VERY manipulative. he can talk himself out of a situation. he can (practically) rizz someone up for his own.
this is caused by his parents. he lies a lot without ever getting caught. his technically mastered the art of bullshit his way through since his parents dislikes a slacking son.
anyways if this were a game, jameson would be those of 'and then there were none' kind of shit.
the back of his mansion is a river near a forest that many people use to slip away from G4
its not that he kidnap them or whatever but he VERY mind the noises.
he prefers people to stay away from his place. the noises makes his 'wife' disturbed. or so he said.
some survived.
has a friend that is a con artist who works in either voorhees company or myers company. probably a friend of his wife.
poor guy doesnt have anyone. oh sorry. his wife.

i know you like both fnaf and batim, im curious if youve every thought about what would happen in a protagonist swap. ik aus and hypotheticals arent for everything, but i personally think it would be funny to drop mike and henry in eachothers universes. i think theyre both do well tbh, but regardless its a little funny to think about
I've tried answering this 2x and tumblr kept punting it into orbit but akjasjkasj here we go.
The Short answer: This is a cute idea! I did play with an Xover concept where Mike Schmidt from the KGA wandered into the old Studio he found back in the woods, and he eventually met Make Believe's Henry Stein post the first fic. Mike--being himself, ofc--decided to stick around and help in any way he could. He also got laid. That's a different concept than a good old switcheroo ofc.
There's more on that here, but not a big discussion on stuff, just what if arts from years ago.
The Long Answer:
At the end of the day, I know I kinda write Mike Schmidt and Henry Stein as different flavors of the same drink. Or even just, Mike is cherry cola and Henry Stein is a warm cup of coffee with cream and sugar.
They both have a found family thing going on in their central story arcs. Can you tell I like that theme? (With the major difference being Mike more or less consented to being dragged into the Pizzeria's past, and Henry stays in his situation out of deep seated guilt at his coworkers, a sense of obligation toward Bendy, and perhaps some honest fear of returning to the outside world as well after his time in the War.) Obviously Mike wasn't super cool with giving up his life, sure--but what he gained in return, (His health restored, ghostly superpowers, enhanced senses, a family that loves and accepts him as much as he admires them in turn, and a sense of purpose that makes him feel like he's living a life that makes a difference) made his choice the easier of the two I think.
In the KGA, Mike is top dog because he's the Suit of Fredbear, and then ofc he bonds with the gang from there. In MB, Henry is the true reluctant leader, and any say he has is earned when and because Norman and the others choose to give it. Sammy proves that for sure. Yes, there's a lot of fear of Bendy from Allison, Tom and Sammy, but they don't fear Henry. Henry also doesn't use Bendy's wrath and power to get his way--not that Mike is a bully either, but he's more confident than Henry and more adept at using Fredbear's powers to help him out, even just day to day mundane tasks.
Mike is the brainier of the two, but he's also the stupider when it comes to protecting those he loves. Henry is the draftsman, the studier, the thinker. He makes far more calculated moves and relies instinctively on Norm and the others to be there, or straight up defers to their judgement more than he dishes out orders. I headcanon he was a medic in the army, and if Freddy Fazbear is based off my Grandpa, then Henry Stein is based off my Poppy, who served World War II, and told stories to my dad of cleaning out tanks that...came back with bodies in them. Henry's time in the war changed him, and when he returned and entered the studio to see what his old pal wanted, his life was flung right back into what is, to him, another war zone. That's got to mess a person up, yanno?
What I like about your concept is that the first time I read it, I went "gee, there wouldn't be any difference. I'm just writing the same story with same characters, that sucks. ...how do I admit that in this ask that?"
And then later that night I paused and thought better of my initial assumptions. 'Wait a second...Mike and Henry aren't carbon copies. They don't even have the same humor.'
Henry and Mike are so much alike for sure, and so very different. Even just the obvious aside--Mike's world is full of the supernatural! ...but it's also got one foot firmly planted in reality. Fredbear is not flaunted. Mike can come and go as he pleases. He tries to be normal, he and the gang hide their true natures and pretend well for kids and adults alike. The world goes on around them, but they do go with it. The Gang ages. They had their restaurant, and then they do traveling parties when it becomes only a home base. His Animatronics are 'real' and 'functional' and their history--horrible as it was--was also one with kids and laughter and fun. Henry didn't get any of that. He never saw BendyLand, he didn't encourage Joey's actions.
Henry's world is Nothing but Supernatural, and he's still just as trapped in it as Bendy is bound to the End Reel. He can't go the store, grab some eggs and milk. If thunder rumbles overhead, Mike groans, looks for something to ground himself on. Henry might jerk back to war time, or the Studio, and be scrambled by the appearance of weather, which was not in the Loop. No sun, no night sky. There's a lot of humanity in being around other people. Mike is such a people person, and he sees in the Fazes what is only there because they were haunted. (Otherwise, yeah, they're kinda just...mechanical AIs.) Henry knows these people he lives with on the first floor were human once, he's relieved to have their company and also feels terrible about. He's afraid to let them get close, (the Projectionist being the one to ignore this lmao.)
It's two types of tragedies, and in both lives were cut short in different ways. Mike and Henry feel responsible for both sides, but they don't respond the same.
It's a lot of weight to carry on one's shoulders, and I sort of think Mike carries it better, or a little healthier, at least. He isn't shy or hesitant, Freddy pushed him away the most and Mike pushed right back. He didn't take any abuse, but he got past those walls and taught Fredbear it was okay to trust and to talk about problems.
Dropping Mike into MB's world would, naturally, be chaos. Mike is kind of walking chaos. Marion would prolly follow him--Mari follows the night guard everywhere, because as much as he brags about how good Mike is at his role, he worries so hard over Mike because Mike is always getting into trouble. (Which, fair.) Mari also doesn't like following rules, unless they're rules he set. He doesn't play nicely with others and he would quickly try to work his tendrils into the Studio, try to gain some upperhand, some semblance of control or even just find Answers to the puzzles around them. Mike would be utterly fascinated with the Ink Machine, wanting to see how it worked, and why, and if it needed repairs, and be interested in taking it apart to figure it out. Goldy's status would be useless here, so even tho Mike has his wits and strength, he wouldn't have the same level of respect he is used to in the restaurant or warehouse, or even Pizza World and not the Pizza plex.
Mike's also magnetic as hell. He'd take one look at Norm and be up in his grill too, delighted and friendly and finding the terror cool. He'd fix anything he thought needed it, that includes busted light bulbs or unhappy, self conscious little ink blots that need their ego's stroked and to be assured no, they're not Abominations. Mike isn't afraid of Nightmaronnie, and once he realizes the Ink Demon is Bendy, (if he was split from Henry which would be it's own issues.) he'd eventually apply the same logic as he did to the Puppet all those years ago, and see a scared little kid who needs some comfort and to know he has support.
Henry...would fit in less well in the KGA. He wouldn't be in danger from the Fazes of course, but he's an Adult, and he's a Male, and he's a STRANGER. And that sets off all sorts of warnings in the back of their minds. Makes them unsure and wary to the point of being unkind, cold. Unlike Mike, whose curiosity gets him in trouble, Henry would recognize to back off and tread lightly. Their children that haunted them accidentally passed on a deep seated fear of older, male authority figures, and not even Mike blames them for that. Max carries it too, and Gregory is about the only one who would be the most approachable...or the more willing TO approach Henry. He's young, but his situation is different and kids are rubber bands. By now, the best, most important thing in his world--tall, deep voiced, and strong Glamrock Freddy--keeps his opinion in Henry's favor, because they're both calm and careful in the similar ways. If Bendy is with Henry, that's another winner. Bendy loves kids, he loves kids desperately, enthusiastically, obsessively. He WANTS to prove he's worthy of what Joey Drew put on him when he was Created, that he's the most darling dancing devil there ever was. If Cartoon him can make Gregory smile/laugh, Bendy will be over the moon, and Glamrock Freddy will have to learn to share quickly, because like Mari, Bendy is a possessive little devil.
Even if Max, Ness, and Freddy are keeping Henry on a tight, wary leash, I can see Henry giving in to them easily. He's not out to make waves, or step on anyone's toes. Being docile like that will help him out big time with them. Mike might cause trouble on accident lmao. Henry would also be kind of panicky, kind of freaked out. Worrying about the Studio, his friends, Bendy being loose, what Joey's up to on the lower levels.
Mike would honestly be more worried about his next meal being just bacon soup and realizing he can't be a bottomless pit because he won't take food from these...ink...monsters? ...ink people? (If Chica offered Henry an olive branch in the form of a meal, Henry might break down and Ghibli cry at the taste of real, inkless, clean food. That earns him points with her at least. Double if he tries cleaning up because he never let Linda do the dishes.)

I guess my conception of her is a little bit more selfish and ruthless, but i agree that she does secretly care about people, especially her friends (and lovers).
Im kinda into the idea of Fujiko allying herself with the wrong people, and normally she has excellent judgement and knows when someones gonna go too far in their schemes and when they’ll turn on her
But in this scenario, she’s far more desperate and scared than usual, because she has to make sure Lupin and the others survive.
So she just focuses on getting the work done, at any cost, and she’s completely blindsided when the betrayal does happen. She wasnt even aware of how little in control she had until its too late
Ok I wasn’t gonna answer this until I posted up one of the Character Bio thingies I was doing, but now I am actually curious.
How exactly do YOU believe she would react to the betrayal. Besides being blindsided, how do you think she would take the realization that all she has been doing has been in vain, that the person who had been “helping” her was not doing it to benefit her or anything else for that matter, but her own selfish gain. I for one think it would be so ironic considering she does that to the gang on a daily basis.
her realization she had little to no control in this entire situation is such a delicious concept especially when you take into account that the rest of the gang probably isn’t gonna believe her when she says she had no idea that this was gonna happen. She’s used that excuse before in much less dire situations, but imagine her trying to explain to Jigen that she had nothing to do with the betrayal and Jigen just not believing her cause she’s done this before. She’s just gotten lucky no one severely has gotten hurt up until now. Imagine how PISSED Jigen just be with her, cause he just doesn’t believe her. She’s given him no reason TO believe her and now this entire situation is just icing on the cake.
He has half a mind to shoot her, he has every reason too he believes. But he won’t. . .cause Lupin won’t forgive him if he does. He knows how Lupin is with her, it has nothing to do with how he’s sweet on her. It has more to do with Lupin constantly trying to convince him that she’s not that bad. And god he wants to believe that. . ..god does he want to believe that.
Except now he can’t.
Cause he’s got his partner bleeding out in his hands and people shooting at them and of course their people who Fujiko is dealing with. But he won’t kill her. . .he can’t do that. . .he can’t do that to lupin
But if Lupin dies. . . If Lupin doesn’t make it
Well. . .there’s no telling what he’ll do.

Hello I have a quick question and it’s not from a place of hate at all I’m new to kink and I saw you answer an anon about someone cutting themselves for you and you said it helps to find someone who self harms already. Does someone self harming do something for you? I’m assuming the person is self harming from a place of self hatred. I run an OPEN Arpg. You can make as many characters as you want to join, given they follow the guidelines. It's also stupidly easy to buy trait upgrades in the shop (once school ends I can finish the Shop updates and re-release it for Player use.)

ANON ASKED: So I've been wondering this for a while, but do you imagine that when Diego was a vigilante, did he have any people other than Patch that were his friends? Did he save sex workers from Johns that got violent with them? Also how do you think he learned about trans people (He seemed to immediately got on board with Viktor and im curious how he learned about that)?
Hey nonnie! Thanks for this! So, I’m gonna answer this in chronological order for Diego’s life because I think that’ll make the most sense.
When Diego leaves the academy at 17, he spends the first few years out partying hard (see headcanon). This leads to him spending a lot of time in wild places doing whatever he wants, however he wants to. Some of this is done with Klaus who, in my head canon, is Diego’s favorite sibling (see headcanon). During this time, Diego tried a lot of things (and s3 kinda confirmed my hc around his experimenting with klaus) sometimes with his brother and sometimes alone which leads to him having some very bad experiences with drugs that put him off it for good but he does end up struggling with alcohol for quite a bit.
In this world, he began befrieding a lot of different people that lived various lifestyles and began to learn the way the world works. It also encouraged him to find a way to keep helping others which is what initially led him to try and take the police academy seriously. However, it wasn’t long before Diego realized that serve and protect came with caveats and he wasn’t into that. He wanted to help people. He wanted to help whoever needed it no matter what. So, he turns back to what he knows - being a vigilante.
There, he was able to help not just who society thinks needs to be protected but people he saw needing protection. Families, sex workers, other people of color, marginalized groups....he wanted to help. Not be an enemy. Not ‘hunt’ them down and ‘keep the freaks off the streets’.
His first experiences with trans people wasn’t one he was necessarily aware of but someone he met through a group of friends. I headcanon that the siblings weren’t exposed to a lot of things BUT they aren’t sheltered or indoctrinated either. So, for Diego, when he found out that this person identified as trans, he kinda took it in stride. He’s not a judgemental person when it comes to how people live their lives. He sometimes will tease the people he cares about but those people know that if anyone actually stepped to them they’d find a blade in their face. He’s someone who genuinely accepts and will protect all. I mean, he knows where he came from, who he is and what that might seem like to others.
tl;dr: Diego had a wide array of friends and is actually pretty fun and easy to befriend when he’s not around his entire family. He’s quite non-judgemental and couldn’t stand finishing police academy because he wanted to actually help people and not be an agent of chaos. He believes in respecting people’s choices to live their lives as long as it’s not harming someone else and if you need someone to look out for you, he’s your boy.

But I remember a while ago you answered an ask where you were curious to know which AU’s/tropes we would be interested in sharing, and after seeing these few tweets (pasted below!) I was wondering what your thoughts are on writing about age regression? i’ve seen it written a lot in other fandoms, but there is such a small amount in this fandom, which honestly was a bit surprising to me! I know so many authors write it in for characters that are very angsty and need a (healthy!) coping mechanism for all the stress they deal with (much like poor fictional!matty) and it’s just so comforting to read all the hurt/comfort/fluff that those fics bring. Fictional!Matty’s just always going through it and needs so much love and comfort and i’d love to hear ur thoughts on if it might be something you’re familiar with with reading and/or possibly writing?

Hello Anon! First off I want to say thank you so much for sharing your vulnerability here! This is a judgement free safe zone 🥰 Never be ashamed or nervous about asking about a trope or AU situation - I'm writing an mpreg fic and an omega verse fic in a fandom that doesn't have any other fics with those tropes on AO3 (though if anyone else wants to write some so then I could read it I would be SO HYPE)
Now on to your question - unfortunately age regression isn't something I really see myself writing (I'm sorry!) and isn't something that I'm very interested in personally. BUT I'm super hype that we're able to have a conversation about it! I've come across it in my many years of fandom hopping and unfortunately it's just not a concept that excites me or that I have any interest in writing, and since it's not something that I personally read, or am interested in, I don't think anything that I write with that trope would be very good. I think that there are probably some very talented writers out there tackling it, and I think that's incredible, and I hope that seeing this ask encourages anyone else in the fandom that has been thinking about it, to dip their toes in and give writing it a try! I just will not be the one trying and for that I am very sorry :(
