ABA x Paracelsus HCs that live in my mind rent-free, even though I haven't played the game--
Some of these HCs include other characters involved in their arcade mode.
ABA is no stranger to stalking people. So when she came across a lookout point, she saw many couples, mostly teenagers, making out and going on romantic dates. She wonders what it would feel like to be young and in love, rather than just declaring someone whom she met first glance as a "husband"
ABA's collection of keys were hidden somewhere in the pocket dimension. She sometimes uses them as accessories to adorn herself, despite the like of knowledge in fashion (the girl wears pants as a top--)
There are many shades of blue that ABA can pick from. Since Paracelsus turned himself blue, the shiny surface reflected more colors than just blue, inspiring her to try and appreciate other colors near the blue gradient.
Added to the color stuff, she eventually tries variation of outfits with other colors, but with blue as the base.
Paracelsus knows when she's feeling fatigued. When she's at her limit, he opens the pocket dimension and lets her rest there until she wakes up. ABA sees this as his love language, but unintentional on his part
Both ABA and Paracelsus have no clue on how homonculi biology works, and Paracelsus hates to admit he feels bad that ABA may be at risk of getting herself hurt without him knowing what to do
Paracelsus wishes he knows more about human anatomy because its the closest one to ABA's physiology.
Since ABA is clairvoyant, she often hears the spirits of their victims which she tries to ignore, and probably because she doesnt know the correct response to a wailing dead person wanting justice. When its too much, she asks Paracelsus if what theyre doing was justified and that she begins to regret her rage filled jealousy directed at those that dont even bother them.
Paracelsus keeps telling ABA that she needn't to worry because it was a necessity for the both of them-- something he deeply regrets to say because he knows she has strong principles that she live by despite not being a human
Paracelsus, deep down, is ashamed of himself for tainting ABA for the purpose of tending to his bloodlust. He saw how genuine and pure hearted she is, but it turned into malice because of his demonic origin. He begins to wonder what ABA would be like if she found someone else years ago.
Just like ABA, Paracelsus has an unspoken fear of abandonment, but since he lacks capacity to feel other emotions, he doesnt notice this.
Ever since Elphelt and Testament approached her with good intentions, ABA wanted to make more friends like them, but is scared that others have ill intentions toward her and Paracelsus.
ABA's favorite book would be Alice in Wonderland when she was still in Frasco, specifically the part where Alice was trapped in a room or multiple doors with the smallest door being the exit. ABA admires this because of the concept of escaping, especially that there's a key involved. (Im biased bc my name's Alice and i like this story--)
Besides door keys, she also collects windup key and smaller keys for chests and compartments. She sees this as a symbol for discovering new things, especially music when she came across a music box that needed a key
Speaking of music boxes, she associates this object with Elphelt bc of her musical talent (and that she may as well look like the ballerina spinning on the music box)
Other than doors, music boxes, and compartments, she also came across a small doll that needed a key. After she winds it up, it began walking and talking towards her and freaks her out. But when it said "mama" in a robotic voice, ABA contemplates and wonders if she was ready to become a parent somewhere in the near future when Paracelsus has a body. An impossible thought, but one could never be sure, and it scares her.
Butterfly Pea tea with brown sugar, or sparkling butterfly pea lemonade with honey would probably her favorite drink because of its color. She shares this with her hubby 🥰😋
There comes a time that her bandanges would get uncomfortable and smell bad from blood stains and wounds, so Paracelsus tells her she needs to change them before she gets an infection. He does stop her midway because he realizes she isnt wearing any undergarments and proceeds to take her in the pocket dimension.
Elphelt offers ABA to shop with her to pick clothes suited for her. The first thing she sees at the boutique display was a wedding dress and begins to day dream a wedding with Paracelsus. Without her looking, Elphelt happily buys the wedding dress with matching tuxedo and gives it to ABA, despite Paracelsus' protests (the fact that he hears them chatting about setting up the wedding next day had him ded on the spot :P)
ABA watches home video tapes left in houses unoccupied by their owners (abandoned or they went on vacation; ABA is a home intruder lol). She finds a tape labeled "Happy Day" and it plays a recording of a newly wed couple dancing at their reception. The way the couple moved gracefully tickled an idea in her brain and insisted she and Paracelsus should dance. But since the large key doesnt have any legs, her attempts in waltzing with him went nowhere 😅 (and this gave more reason for ABA to find a body for Paracelsus)
At late nights when ABA is asleep, Paracelsus wonders that if he had a body, would ABA still be shorter or they would be in the same height? Either way, he was impressed that she can keep herself up with that low weight despite her tall stature, more so on how she was able to carry him around without much muscle mass.
When he sleeps beside her, her hair unwittingly falls on his bow and feels how soft it is. A very pleasant feeling he won't admit.
Everyday, Paracelsus keeps reminding ABA that she needed to eat to gather strength. ABA often forgets to eat because its not hard wired in hr system, nor that it was even natural for her to eat in the first place.

homestuck fans when theres no rhyme or reason to the trickster designs and its literally just a jumbled mess of hideous colors and vague candy themes which means theres no consistency to analyze to help with making fan designs
#now imagine if you will a very distraught face. because i cant be bothered adding an image#ANYWAYSSSSSSS i wanted 2 try making one but god its just so hard bc theres so many fucking colors and i suck at coloring anyway#i tried analyzing them to the best of my abilities to see if there was any consistency i could go off of......... but no theres Nothing#the only thing is that their cheek swirls are the same color as their pestechum colors. and thats it#even the outfits are different it seems to be slightly altered versions of their original outfits?#like roxy was wearing her purple knit dress when she got bonked but it was still her original outfit afterwards#their hair colors dont make sense their shoe colors dont make sense their head ornaments make a LITTLE sense..........#jakes and dirks are the most obvious. pumpkin and orange soda its like their thing i guess#janes being a muffin makes sense cuz crockercorp baker etc etc#roxys makes the least sense...... i dont think there was ever any mention of cotton candy for her aside from when caliborn wanted his weird#smut to be color coordinated for whatever reason#whenever i make otufits its usually just varying shades of the same 3 or so colors so trickster designs are a nightmare#even my old trickster mode trollsona was like. 3 colors total LOL#not to mention i wanted to make this design for my trollsona. and we only ever saw humans in trickster mode#and looking at older fanart didnt help cuz everyone had decided unanimously that the canon designs sucked ass (they did)#and in the future we should all give each character a food or somthing similar to base the whole design off of (good decision)#blehh. i give up its too much of a pain-_-#anyway. maybe i really am sick i think i need to lay down#already slept literally all day but im still so tired..........#i took painkillers and allergy meds in case of cat hair on bed but i still feel groggy as fuck#well whatever. itll probably go away soon i never really stay sick for long

IMAGINE...
[CONTENTS: nsfw, robotic anatomy, f/cking robots but with no penetration, just messing with his circuits, wires, screws, whatever (im not a mechanic, idk half i said here), sub dottore segment (omega), gn.mechanic.reader (co-created the segments)]
゚+*:ꔫ:*﹤"sit still, omega." you warn him, a serious lilt in your voice as you move your hands carefully into his open chest cavity, wires, and bits of his intricate parts all laid onto the metal surface of the table he was currently sitting on. "you wouldn't want me to mess up, right?"
and although your delicate hands, now covered in black soot that will be difficult to clean off, a smile adorned your lips, eyes bright and full of mischief. "this is the 3rd time you've visited my office, you know?"
omega merely scoffed, turning his face away from your teasing gaze. his cheeks, despite it being a cool surface composed of metal, were dusted with muted shades of reds and pinks, that spread down to his neck, and to his shoulders. it contradicted his dismissive attitude, and he cursed at the useless feature implemented in his system.
"awww, flustered now, are we?" you cooed, lips brushing against the edge of the panel that's usually covered by his mask. your hot breath fanned against his skin, and though he was a machine, he shivered at the feeling, biting his bottom lip as you pressed a kiss onto his star-shaped sensors. you chuckled when it glowed a brilliant red, his pale skin, now flushed, as he grits his teeth in anticipation. "you're so adorable, omega, so hot and bothered just with some words."
you hear a faint 'click' inside his titanium rib cage, where his core and other frail components lie. curiously, you pull back to see what activated in his system, only to break into a big, shit-eating grin to see his automatic internal cooling system begin to gleam blue. "oh my, don't go all shy on me! not after coming in here inside my workshop~"
"j-just get it done," omega finally finds it in himself to speak, his voice breaking easily as his trembling hands grip your shoulders, holding himself back on wrapping his legs around your waist. "i have important matters to attend to, and prime won't be happy if i report late— a-aAHN!"
he was cut off by his own moan, writhing and panting at the feeling of your hands rubbing and fondling his metallic spine, aiming for the sensitive spots of his system, thumbing between the joints of his fragile parts. omega couldn't help but arch his back and whimper your name out loud when you've begun tugging on his complicated wiring. you relished at how his bottom lip shook, his body instinctively mimicking organic reactions when it comes to pleasure, his shoulders rose and fell as he pants at each tantalizing touch.
you shook your head as you clicked your tongue, plunging your arms deeper into his chest, making him gasp and choke on a moan, fingers brushing against his convoluted circuits. "this doesn't usually happen, you know?" humming, you began to unscrew a bolt to access an even more complex section of his body, though you did it agonizingly slow, making sure omega could feel each twist and turn of your tool. "unless someone else messed with your circuits… but that's impossible. each segment has a different screw, nut, and bolt, all custom-made and unique, courtesy to me, so that only prime and i could have access to your very fragile and very complicated machinery."
before omega could even make an excuse, trying to save himself from this utter embarrassment, he throws his head back and almost falls off the table as his body is suddenly electrified with intense shocks of pleasure, his system overwhelmed as he felt sparks coursing through his wirings. drool seeped at the corner of his lips, he keens when your hands didn't relent on reattaching wires back to their proper place, and tweaking the numerous gears inside of him.
he couldn't stop shaking, hands pawing at your shoulders as he tries to keep still, lest he wants you to fuck up his system even more… although the thought made his fans whir faster, to have your hands touch every single intricate piece of his metallic body, your hands warm to the touch and expertly assaulting his every weak spot he had. he was at the verge of an overload, senses making him lightheaded.
"this is a very calculated error, so much so that only a person or a machine with high intelligence can pull it off, rather than it being due to the humid air of sumeru." omega lets out a cry when you tightened a screw, making him curl his toes and fall back onto the table, back so beautifully arched against the metal surface and rattling his mechanical parts. "you know very well that i built you more resilient than that, darling~"
omega swallowed down his moans, trying to catch his breath as he glares unto your eyes, a weak scowl on his trembling lips. "p-perhaps the mechanic lacks the utter skill to—h-hahnn! t...to even complete proper maintenance o-of their own creation... f-fuck!" he argues in between his whorish moans, cursing and stumbling over his words, "l-leading to this 'calculated error', as you've said..." you knew if he had eyes, he'd shed tears.
you laughed at his poor attempt of an excuse, especially when he's been letting out perfect mimicry of hiccups and sobs, pretty sensors flashing red, fingers digging rather painfully against your biceps as his joints creaked. "oh darling, you and the other segments are all the same," you tease, leaning towards him and pressed kisses on his neck, all the way up to his jawline, paying attention to how his body reacted to everything you do to him. "knocking on my office door, saying that they're having calibration errors, or they need an early tune-up, begging me to fix them."
omega felt like he was perpetually on edge, the pure ecstasy driving his system into a frenzy, his body struggling to cool down his processor. he couldn't even cum if he wanted to; you didn't build him like that. it was maddening—each caress made him mewl how a slut would, each tug of his wiring made him quiver weakly beneath you, the desire to be absolutely ravished by you growing stronger at each passing second.
"are you all so jealous that i can fuck your very own creator so good that he's crying my name all night long, but can't do the same to you?" you purr into his ear, and he bucks his hips upwards, taut against yours as he whines in desperation, "so you'd mess up your insides so i can fix them? hoping for me to touch you in ways only i know that will make you feel good?"
and he nods, tongue lolling out between his lips, looking absolutely wrecked. again, you laughed mockingly at his pitiful display. you kiss him all over his face, and he cries, begging you to be gentle with his insides, that he can't take anymore. he's so sensitive that he could feel it through his mechanical bones, the electric currents flowing through his body giving you small shocks whenever you touch him, and his system making loud beeping sounds, indicating that he was overloading.
but you found it too amusing, for what was supposed to be an unfeeling robot, melting into putty in your hands as you stroke, palm, pull, knead his pieces to the point he's seeing stars. "if only i had known you segments were all pathetic whores for me, then we should've gone for a more organic approach..."
"although," your hands paused, and omega took big gulps of air, his back somehow began to ache for how long he's had it arched in burning bliss, his sensors focused on you, body twitching. "i could stimulate a feature that could mimic a human orgasm..." omega visibly lights up, gripping onto the sleeves of your shirt as raspy pleads slip from his lips, but you shush him, smiling sickeningly sweet for reassurance. and yet, omega could feel regret creeping up his circuits in the dark and wicked intent behind your eyes.
"alright... it will take a few hours," your hands began to move again, and omega screamed, voice caught in his throat as you pressed a button that made him extra sensitive to stimulation, head clanging against the metal table. he could feel his inside buzz with delight, every single command prime had given him was left forgotten, and he could only think about your hands, tinkering away on his engine.
"try to keep your system stable until i finish, okay~?"

Eating mom bf ass for valentines…yeah…yum
based. pleasedont mind that this is 3 days after... ahemhrmhrm.m.. ramble/ideas at the beginning sorry for any mistakes ekkeke
valentines day with motherly bf!
cw;; face sitting ( mother...), overstimulation..... both giving.
Tumblr media
motherly yan is definitely the type to go all out on every holiday... making up for your childhood if you didnt quite get to do that sort of thing... how im imagining this is ,,,, you coming home from work to see him bustling around the house - all dressed up nice with his assets on display in some lacy maroon apparel ; red decorations of all shades strewn about in a simplistic fashion along the interior of ur home.. and when you move further in, admiring the house.. on the island of the kitchen is full of baskets of goodies and balloons... not necessarily candy, maybe just necessities or just trinkets you like... mother getting you a whole ass new wardrobe just for valentines day bro. spoils you to hell. so obviously... you pull him away from trying to clean up "last-minute" and take a moment to marvel his body; pressing him against the counter gently... revelling in the way he squirms underneath your touch - too overwhelmed with making sure everything is absolutely perfect for you, a sight you've rarely seen - him so stoic yet fidgety with stress. so obviously you have to make it up to mother.. after all he was slaving away, making your home all pretty for you to marvel at... that deserves some praise.
smotheirng mother in kisses, telling him how beautiful he looks - and all for you? keeping your arms wrapped around him awkwardly even as you walk him to the bedroom... fooling around before you demand him to sit on your face. mother being iffy because yeah hes so much bigger than you but of course he sits his pretty little ass right smack dab on ur face just like you ask - gripping onto your hair and as your long tongue reaches into him - every so often sucking on his balls as you finger him.... digits working together with your muscle; prodding at his prostate and rubbing along his gummy walls, scissoring him so you can pull him deeper onto you, wanting his full weight to fucking suffocate you - anything for you, its your special day..
*our, you would correct, voice muffled by his cheeks.. completely unconcerned with his balls in your face; rather much welcoming.. or having him lay sprawled out on the bed, still dressed in ur work clothes you couldnt bother to take off because you were too caught up in ravaging your lovely darling lover who dressed up so beautiful for you. tits on display, cock hanging out and dribbling pre.. he was as excited as you! but his expression doesnt outwardly show it as his love muscle does. "ma.. you.. taste so good...." after sucking his cock.. jerking off his softening messy cock while tonguing around his finger fucked taint. it's all about him, but he'd protest.. wanting to give you some form of pleasure - but you'd simply continue jerking him off while rimming him, no response to his soft plea. this is your pleasure! grinding against the bed to stimulate your erection in your stupidly tight workpants... augajghh
Tumblr media
;; ".. my sweet boy..." he murmurs, a whimpering mess as his head tosses and turns against the pillows, hair splayed out so prettily you wish you had a polaroid camera on hand to snap a few shots as material to jerk off toㅡ"yeaah.. yeah, that's right. your sweet boy." you snicker breathlessly, ghosting over his sensitive sack and fluttering hole,,, tongue dipping inward, circling around his entrance before burying your face in the perineum and shoving your tongue deeper. sucking dutifully and relishing in the way his thighs instinctively close around your head; pulling you deeper into his sensitive bits... unable to hold yourself over, humping into the bed while tonguing him out; kissing around his taint before kissing him directly, feeling on his squishy thighs.. fingering him, as your lips make their way upwards... licking along his sack, sliding along the underside of his leaky cock. "so beautiful. you're .. just so beautiful, mother.." your voice. So heartfelt and emotional .. shaky.. while sucking and kissing on his cock. mother.. unable to contain himself as his lower intestines coil - taint fluttering around your scissoring fingers prodding against his prostate,, orgasming hard with a soft moan of your name. getting you messy.. he'd apologize profusely, but you would wave him off to say;; mother it's okay... you're tasty. let me take care of you.

Tumblr media
PREV. RINK | NEXT RINK
“What should we wear?” You’re pacing across the living room, hand tucked under your chin and brows furrowed.
Sae’s leaning to the side on the couch, trying to get a decent view of yesterday’s playback practice run on the rink every time you cross his line of vision. Rin’s also trying to pay attention to the jumps and step sequences too but, whenever his parts are about to come up, you seem to pause in front of the TV.
“I dunno, ask Rin,” Sae shrugs and turns up the volume, hoping that you would catch the hint.
It doesn’t matter though, because you’re shuffling in place and now your attention is honed on your phone, scrolling rapidly through what Rin can only assume are images of various costume designs. He’s seen a few of your professional photos from the previous years during his recent down time, a lot of the designs highlighted your feminine side with bright colors and pastels. It suits you, no surprise there, considering your outgoing personality. Rin, on the other hand, likes to keep it moody and, as his fans would like to call it, “Dark Paradise” core — whatever that means.
Well, it wouldn’t really matter if you did happen to ask for his opinion because, recently, Rin didn’t give two shits about what he wears. If anyone were to peek into his closet, which they would definitely need to fight through him first, they would discover an array of all different shades of black and blue in their deepest forms. Oh, and all he owns is athleisure attire, too. Rin doesn’t bother with all things fancy and tailored ever since going on break, though he has a creeping feeling that he might have to go back to it soon.
“As long as it’s not flashy, I’m fine with whatever.” Rin answers finally, and closes his eyes as he says it, realizing that he’ll either look incredibly out of place with whatever costume idea you’ll have in mind. He can’t quite place why he feels so stressed about it.
“Whatever?” You chirp back with a slight tilt. Rin can almost see the gears turning desperately in your head as your foot taps away in deep thought. “Have we even decided on a theme yet?”
“Considering we literally just started practicing? No.” Rin huffs out. He tips his head, letting his cheek settle comfortably against his palm.
Safe to say, his thighs and feet hurt like hell, laced with heavy exhaustion from yesterday’s session. He probably needs more sleep in more but, with both you and Sae knocking on his bedroom door this morning, he firmly decided in his mind to sneak away after today’s practice to catch up on some hours.
“Your jumps are sloppy,” Sae points out casually.
Rin rolls his eyes. “Thanks for the tip.”
“Anytime,” his brother shoots back before replaying the same damn sequence where Rin nearly loses his footing. The video is now playing in slow motion and zoomed in, painfully reminding Rin that he needs to upgrade his skincare routine. Somehow, he’s glad that you’re still covering half of the TV screen, unaware of the near wipe out scene from behind.
A few seconds later and Sae speaks again. “You look stiff here, bend your knees and loosen your arms.”
Rin sighs. “ ‘Kay…”
“We’re still going for ‘love’, right? Or are we not doing that?” Your arms are crossed, fingers drumming away, still deep in thought and tuned out from their own conversation. “What songs do you wanna skate to?”
Before Rin could even provide a half-assed answer to that, Sae interrupts his thoughts with, “Please try and at least look like you’re having fun.”
“…noted,” Rin decides with a sigh. “I’m going back to bed when this is over.” Screw napping after practice, he barely got a full eight hours last night and being berated so bright and early in the morning killed any sort of energy he had prior.
“Nope,” Sae pauses halfway through the video, turning to face him with a stern look. “You’re not going back to bed, because then you won’t wake up in time for practice. Sleeping in will only ruin your current sleep schedule, too.”
Rin wants to retort that he’s not a fucking child anymore, that he doesn’t need Sae to be looking after him. However, there’s the fact that his brother is sorta his manager now and in charge of quite literally everything of Rin's career. Also, it’s kinda hard to come up with a solid comeback when they’re reviewing his rusty movements, lackluster jumps, and every thirty seconds he’s taking a small break to catch his damn breath.
You eventually plop down in the middle of the couch, between both brothers, when you realize that your question isn’t going to be answered simply. After Sae finally gets the chance to thoroughly watch a good chunk of yesterday’s practice sequence, you switch topics. “Just so you know, Rin, have you seen your comment section lately?”
Sae shuffles in his seat and suddenly Rin feels the air in the room thickening. Rin fiddles with his phone in hand, knowing full well that he did post a ‘comeback’ announcement only to then quickly turn his app notifications off, because… of his feelings of self cautiousness? Would that be the right term he’s looking for?
“What did he do?” Sae’s asking you because he knows damn well Rin wouldn’t give him the full details and you’re just so damn open about everything so Rin can’t possibly hide from this one.
But, instead of answering Sae, you cough, loud and awkward, before shooting Rin an apologetic look. “Um, nothing…?”
Alright, well Rin takes it that you’re a god awful liar.
Sae’s now staring directly in Rin’s direction and he’s trying so hard to avoid eye contact right now by pretending that their family portrait wall is the most interesting thing in the room. Of course, that doesn’t work because he can hear Sae tapping away freely on his phone and—
“Did you fucking block me on Instagram?”
Okay, yeah, Rin totally forgot about that, too. To be fair, when someone is going through a depressive episode for over a year, the last thing anyone would want to see on their feed is the success of their older sibling.
“No?”
And, turns out, he’s also an awful liar.
Tumblr media
Sae is not happy. He is very, very unhappy.
He’s not usually the emotionally expressive type to most people, so that usually leaves Rin the luxury of experiencing the back end when his brother does decide to let his walls down. And, well, in the past, when he did get pissed off, Sae would normally vent about his coaches and stalkerish fans with a bit of sass to it, but today?
He’s currently grumbling and groaning and Rin’s pretty sure his shirt is on backwards, and bless your soul, but also fuck you, for dragging him into this mess.
After a very short Google Search of what Rin has done, followed by an equally as short lecture on how to be professional on the internet, Rin is grimley reminded by the large number of likes and retweets on Twitter that his announcement might’ve not been the best thing he’s ever posted. He really can’t understand why though, because Rin was deadset sure he was going to lose his career nearly three years ago when he got into a fight with another skater, so why is he getting canceled for announcing something… tamed? Well, he also hasn’t exactly opened his social media apps since then. A strange gnawing feeling comes up whenever he fights off the urge to check.
“You should’ve held off or at least came to me before posting something like this.”
It’s a miracle that there’s nobody else but you three at the local rink right now. It’s been nearly an hour since arrival and Rin has gotten nothing but an earful from Sae. If any family were to walk in, they’d probably immediately walk out by the sheer amount of heavy tension steaming off on the ice.
You’re stuck in your own little corner doing all sorts of warm up jumps and stretching, glancing over every now and then at Rin as your way of saying ‘sorry’ and ‘are you doing, okay’. To which, Rin would glance back with a very stiff shrug.
“What difference would it make?” Rin’s cheeks are a little flushed and there’s a slight hitch to his breath, he had just completed a couple of routine jumps Sae instructed him to do.
“Plenty,” then Sae flashes Rin a quick glimpse of his phone screen.
An array of outrageous news articles and forums come through, many of them pointing out the strange timing and the internal turmoil of sibling rivalry. There’s a couple of them mentioning drugs, two threads from some third-party news site throwing your name to the mud, and then a short Buzzfeed article listing a slideshow of other skaters congratulating Rin for rejoining the sport again.
“People are speculating that you’re only stepping in because I’m down for this season. If you would’ve just waited until everything was put together then everything would’ve been different.”
Rin blinks a little, surprised by the flush coloring his brother's cheeks that’s most certainly not from the cold rink.
Although, in a way it did make sense. If there’s one thing that famous athletes do know about the media is the fact that news outlets love fabricating drama out of nothing. Sae’s a well known gold medalist, no matter what division that medal came from, so his name came out of people’s mouth as frequently as compared to Yuzuru Hanyu or even Yuuri Katsuki, whenever figure skating was mentioned. It made sense for others to grow suspicious when Rin randomly posted that he’s coming off of hiatus without further explanation. Sae most likely hasn’t told anyone that he’s being subbed in.
Rin hesitantly nods, his snarky response dies in his throat and he feels like he’s swallowing needles when faced with the awkward reality. He’s now reluctant to speak, unsure if anything he’d say would make a difference — for better or worse. Knowing himself, probably the latter.
After a few seconds of silence, followed by a few jumps performed by you in the background, Sae runs a hand through his hair, in what Rin believes is a rare nervous gesture, looking away briefly.
“Revival,” his brother finally blurts out. “That’s the theme. You guys fine with that?” Sae’s asking, but there’s a finality to his tone. Rin and you will have to be fine with it. The season starts in a few months, soon Sae would need to prepare choreography for two programs, consult a designer for custom fittings, and take over all things that a coach and manager would do. Somehow, despite being out for this year, Rin thinks Sae might have the hardest job here.
“No objections here.”
Tumblr media
Two months and many hours of exhausting training later, you and Rin are standing in the locker room for the first competition as an official pair. It’s the first day of the Japan Figure Skating Championships and, somehow, you look more put together than he is.
“Think this looks good?” You do a 360 spin in front of the wall mirror in your short program outfit. It’s a simple short black, gray dress with mesh sleeves and small rhinestones running down the middle. According to the designer, it’s supposed to represent the night sky.
Rin stands behind you and adjusts his black vest. Gold and white thread accents throughout his patterned shirt compared with plain black trousers. He’s supposed to adjust his cuffs, but his fingers keep fumbling with the last button because his eyes are awkwardly getting lost in your outfit. Luckily, you’re too focused on yourself to take notice.
You eventually lean closer, repeating the question when he takes too long to answer, and he feels your breath against his shoulder. “Everything alright? Are you nervous for today?” Your voice is a little hesitant, full of concern that makes Rin’s stomach slightly jump to his throat.
“Everything’s fine,” Rin sighs as he manages to shove the last button through. It’s not like he’s going to lose this competition, he might be somewhat rusty but he didn’t qualify for the Grand Prix Final just based on his name alone. “It’s just… a little bit weird that we’re the oldest ones here,” he confesses.
“You’re still hung up about that?”
It’s stupid and maybe a bit irrational, he knows that much.
You’ve also already tried to convince Rin otherwise multiple times today, but he couldn’t shake off the humiliating feeling of entering a competition where your competitors are almost half your age. Okay, maybe Rin’s being dramatic, but at least five years younger. From what he can recall, it was usually the other way around whenever he competed in men’s singles tournaments. Having to see and now experience that is something he never really mentally prepared himself for.
From the moment he stepped into the locker room, Rin was basically towering over the rest of the athletes. It’s fine, kinda, all he really needs to focus on right now is landing all of his jumps and catching you. Sae’s a strict teacher, but he doesn’t force weird techniques on others if he knows they can’t handle it.
“Isn’t he, like, totally washed up right now?”
“Shh, don’t say it so loud, Makoto! He’s right there.”
“Oh, shit, let’s go before he…” Rin didn’t get a chance to hear the rest of the sentence, not with you scooting right beside him on the bench and shoving your right ear bud into his ear.
He’s learned quickly from the following days that you are not the playlist type of person like most people. Unlike normal and sane folks, you have all of your liked songs in one playlist and you like spending your time shuffling away through the vast hundreds of genres and artists until finding the right one. In your own words, if you were to make a playlist then it would easily be over a few dozen — why do that when all of your favorite songs are in one spot?
That being said, you’re currently blasting a Frank Ocean song before shifting through a couple more songs with the intent of finding both the short program and free skate song. Oh, and for some reason you don’t use the search function at all through your liked playlist. Apparently, it “ruins” the fun.
“This would’ve been a nice song to skate to,” the tune switches to something more upbeat and indie, Rin recognizes the band to be Florence and the Machine from the vocals alone. “Sae complained about the song being too long and I called him a lazy loser shortly after.” You say with a smile but Rin’s eyes drift down only to see your leg bobbing up and down rapidly.
Rin tries to pay no mind as he continues to put on his skates. “A six minute long performance would be too much,” he agrees with Sae’s previous answer.
“Hey, tickets to these sorts of things are expensive nowadays with scalpers everywhere!” You try to reason. “If someone’s spending two hundred dollars on a seat then they can sit through a six minute long skating sequence.”
Rin rolls his eyes as he fiddles with a tangled lace. “I didn’t mean the people in the audience, I meant the skaters.”
“Well, maybe we should learn a thing or two from people who do Disney on Ice?”
“I do not want that to be my fall back career, thank you.” A shiver creeps down his spine at the thought of being forced to skate while wearing a Mickey Mouse costume of all things. Seriously, do people clean those suits?
“Hey, are you…” both of your ears perk at the sound from behind. Rin turns around first, he’s immediately greeted by one of the younger male competitors. The boy looks like he’s still growing into his body, probably not any older than seventeen.
“Yeah, I am,” Rin finishes the obvious question. Maybe the kid’s a fan by how bright his face lights up soon after. “Is there something you need?” Sae’s been drilling him to be a little bit more receptive to fellow competitors and fans alike, in order to fix some of his reputation.
“I’ve been looking at your past performances, lately,” the kid starts with a smile. “Last year, during the Grand Prix Final, you did good!”
“Thanks—”
“Your theme was the same as the previous years, but I guess that’s just something you’re comfortable with, right? The falls that you took, it was because your balance was off. You need to work better on finding your center during jumps if you seriously plan on competing in the senior division again.”
Rin only notices the pain digging in his fists when you reach over, palm encasing over his closed ones. You don’t bother looking his way, but you do say something to the kid. It sounds muffled though, or maybe Rin’s somehow zoning out? He’s not sure.
The loss from the Grand Prix is apparently still at the forefront of his mind, no matter how much he tells himself otherwise. People love to pick out that particular part in his performance, acting as if they could pull it off any better. And, for a brief moment, all his past of anger and frustration at the sport suddenly comes rushing back at an overwhelming rate. Rin’s wondering who else wants to criticize him when they meet him again.
“Don’t they teach kids manners these days?” You try to shoot a glare back but, from Rin’s perspective, it just looks like you’re mildly constipated.
It kinda ends up working, because the kid backs off, scurrying away and off to his manager for last minute pep talk. Sae’s currently running late as usual, but it’s not like you two would need any words of encouragement. Rin’s competitive nerves have fizzled out by this point, at least for this event, but he’s now seething with discomfort. He’s certainly positive that you’re feeling the same way.
“I take it back, some of these kids need to be humbled and maybe even bullied.”
Okay, while Rin would agree, he feels like he has to somewhat step up in Sae’s place to make sure you don’t accidentally get kicked out of this competition for sucker punching a kid.
“It’s fine, don’t get too worked up over it. I more or less expected comments like that.”
Rin never expected anything to come easy. Climbing for his spot again in the competitive world can be absolutely ruthless and meeting skaters who are arrogant, condescending, and taunting are just part of the reality. He suspects that everyone else sees him as a washed up skater, never as a real competitor, or a real challenger for the gold medal.
“Still,” you pout, unsatisfied by his logical response, but drop the conversation as Rin tightens his laces. Then, you finally manage to find the song for the short program section after the relentless shuffling.
“It’s fine,” he reassures, and really, it’s kinda-sorta fine. It’s something that he’ll eventually get used to, even if he’s well aware of the heinous rumors floating around. Everything will die down after a week or two since most people can barely hold their attention span nowadays.
“If you’re positive,” you go back to your phone, but not before poking Rin’s sides and redirecting his attention towards the TV screen in the locker room. “Hey, the first pair is competing.”
Tumblr media
Pair skating is a lot different from competing in singles. Aside from the obvious involvement of another party, there are more requirements in the short and free skate performances. In the Adult Singles programs, the skater focuses more on their jumps, having a higher emphasis on how many quads they can shove in — or at least that’s how Rin used to work. Quads granted him the majority of the points, it’s something that he can take some pride in compared to his other juniors and seniors.
For pairs, instead of focusing on jumps in the sequences, it’s lifts. There’s two types of lifts, overhead and twists, both are required in the programs. In general, overhead lifts rely on the movement of the person in the air, the control and execution of their rotations around the person carrying them. For twists, the most “exciting” part of the performance by judges’ words, requires an insane amount of coordination and strength since Rin has to propel you into the air by the waist.
Sae had the lovely idea to throw in three overhead lifts, just because he thinks Rin can handle it. Those evening practices at the rink, followed by early morning lifting sessions absolutely killed him, both physically and spiritually. Though, safe to say that he’s just about near his physical peak last year from all the training.
You and Rin both waited patiently in the locker rooms for the first three pair performances, only leaving and heading by the outer rink when you guys queued next. Sae leans against the railing, the brace on his foot now gone and, instead of chunky sneakers, he’s opted back to his expensive loafers. Maybe that’s why he ran late, just in case paparazzi took snapshots of his entire outfit. Go figure.
“I think you guys will have no issue securing gold.” Sae’s voice comes through the haze of Rin’s thoughts, sounding distinctly unimpressed by the current line up. “Even if you guys fumble your lifts, I think the amount of it will carry enough points.”
Erupted cheers soon fill the air and all eyes turn to the rink as the pair’s performance ends. You soon recognize one of the skaters being the teenager from earlier and throw Rin a look.
“We’re going to make sure that he doesn’t get a chance at winning until next year.” You announce, tone casual but eyes flickering something darker than what Rin’s used to.
Sae scoffs and leans against the railing, holding Rin’s Winnie the Pooh tissue box in his arms. “I’m assuming the locker room talk wasn’t all too friendly?”
“Maybe not your usual idea of friendly,” and Rin surges forward, taking your hands into his, when the pair in question struts by and casts both of you a nasty glare. Your grip around his bicep tightens and, while he didn’t care too much about beating a bunch of lukewarm competitors earlier, Rin’s fully certain that he wants nothing more than that gold medal and to clear both of your names from accusations right now.
Piano sounds ring throughout the arena from the speakers, starting with a single word that you’ve both heard countless times during practice. The soft piano notes quickly turn into a somber melody, growing louder with every passing second. The music is beautiful. Haunting, even. Capturing the audience in a trance while Rin prepares you for your first lift.
It’s strange, he thinks. While he’s gotten used to handling you, this is different from every other time. During practices, you’re always carefree and cheerful but, out here, surrounded by cameras and opinions of others that don’t weigh a thing, you’re focused and extremely precise in your form.
Rin thought he knew your routine. Clearly, he’s mistaken.
You skate with conviction, confidence, and accuracy. He can understand why you were originally Sae’s skating partner.
Once you’ve landed back on the ice, keeping up with Rin’s speed, the two of you follow the song’s beat with a smooth series of spins and jumps, each one rotating faster and faster until it feels like the mere audience is just a blurry backdrop in the foreground.
The final lift jump transitions easily into a simple step sequence before finally ending in a death spiral. Rin has a firm grip on your hand as you begin flattening your body low enough, face barely grazing the ice below, as he pivots you around in lull circles.
Judging from the sounds from the audience, Rin didn’t need to stay around to know the results of the performance. The roars, chants, and the standing ovation from them is enough to make out the outcome but, for your sake, he’ll stick it through.
You both glide through the last few seconds of the short program, focusing on nothing but the music and remaining movements. Finally, the music notes fade out and the two of you come to a rest in the middle of the rink, the final position has Rin tipping your body backwards with your arms wrapped loosely around his neck, as if you both were reaching for something just out of your grasp.
Thunderous roars ring in his flushed ears and you’re shooting him a look, eyes glassy and lips parting, possibly saying some sort of praise, but Rin can’t seem to focus. He’s too lost in thought, too distracted by the tenderness of the performance, the flashing lights, the way your chest is heaving in rapid waves, and didn’t realize he had been holding in his breath until you pulled him into a tight embrace.
Everything is just about perfect. Every jump, lift, and spin. He can already imagine the gold medal around his neck, and the thought of winning gold at the Grand Prix only makes the rest of his blood course through his veins faster.
Tumblr media
Being a professional athlete again is… exhausting.
Rin spends the following day in back to back conferences and being introduced to people. Most of them end up being unremarkable and forgettable. A couple of them are rude and eccentric, with one guy in particular honing down Rin in a corner and bombarding him with questions both surrounding his performance last year and his personal life. You and Sae had to step in to diffuse the situation before Rin blew a hole in his career again.
By the end of the night, Rin debates whether he should switch careers because this shit is absolutely not for him. It’s no surprise to anyone that Rin hates being around people and this night he’s probably escaped to the restroom maybe about five times to catch a breather. And, while Rin is not the type to exactly care about his image, he absolutely does a full body inspection in the full body mirror every time before he steps back out. Each time he revisits a new wrinkle line forms.
And his brother hasn’t told him when it’ll be over.
Rin’s hands twitch after another self-proclaimed journalist finishes up a half-ass interview about his latest goals for this year. He pulls out his phone when they suggest giving out their contact information and Rin just zones out, tapping away gibberish in his notes app and nodding until they finally went away.
He feels like he’s going to vomit and pass out if this goes on any longer.
“You look like you’re about to freak out,” and of course, you have the decency to point that out as he’s made the fruit salad section his little hideaway spot. Turns out people really dislike any sort of fruit dishes at these fancy events.
“I’m not,” Rin muffles back, mouth stuffed with various chunks of honeydew and grapes. Even if it is true, he’ll never admit it, but it also does suck that he's stupidly easy to read. “The food just sucks here, that’s all.” The fruit isn’t that bad. Maybe just the strawberries.
“Whatever you say, partner,” you roll your eyes playfully, almost giggling at the nickname before taking a sip from the glass of champagne in your hands. “If you want, we can sneak out of here and explore the city.” It’s a suggestion but, from the way you’re smiling, Rin picks up that he can’t wiggle his way out of it.
But he tries anyway.
“Do you even know your way around?” He sounds vaguely concerned.
Sure, it’s been approximately two months since you’ve crashed and turned his life a complete 180, but you’re still new to the area and very much new to the country. Rin’s heard you picked up basic phrases from his brother to get around but it’s still nearly not enough to go and explore, especially late at night. And, rightfully so, he doesn’t plan on babysitting while you waltz around half tipsy off your mind after winning first place.
You fake a wound over your chest and gasp, hiccuping soon after. “I have maps on my phone! I already pinned and favorited a bunch of cute stores we can check out.”
Rin doesn’t know why you even bother throwing him into the equation considering it’ll clearly be stores you’ll like.
“And where exactly do you think you’re going?” Sae’s sauntering over, a half empty glass of wine in hand, and his movement is a little sluggish, but he’s probably the only few sobered up person in the room aside from Rin.
“Out,” you reply with a casual shrug, as if Sae’s supposed to be satisfied with the answer.
“Out...” Sae echos before flickering his sudden sharp gaze over to Rin. He feels himself straightening up before he realizes. “You guys still have to make your statements to the press, you know that, right?”
“Can’t we do it after we get back?” You quickly dismiss Sae’s annoyed scrunch with a quick waft of a hand.
Rin really doesn’t want to stand in front of a bunch of drunken and overly zealous journalists right now if he doesn’t have to. The idea of visiting a few late night street vendors might just be his highlight for today.
“Hey,” Sae’s agitated voice snaps him out of his daze. “Are you seriously going out?”
Instead of providing his brother a proper answer, Rin takes a hold of your hands and throws his jacket over your bare shoulders. You were complaining earlier about losing yours, and the last thing he wants is a drunk and cold skating partner in the middle of the streets of Nagano.

tours exhausting.
billie eilish x fem!reader
summary: after only afew shows on tour with billie you were already exhausted
warnings: kissing, slight flirting, unedited
notes: this is my first ever fic so i apologise if its not so good! also a little dedication to hte being no longer:(
Tumblr media
billie had warned you about coming on tour with her. ofcourse she wanted nothing more then you to be with her during it but it was EXHAUSTING. rehearsing, meet & greets, interviews, the entire works.
"baby you dont have to" billie reminds you while your both in the backseat heading to the airport.
you giggle staring at her face filled with stress, excitement & concern. quickly all turning to confusion once you had giggled.
"honey i've made my mind, im sitting right here with you, theres no going back. im not sitting alone in your house missing you for months" you say gently.
she just looked at you, eyes jolting around your face admiring your features, without saying a word you know she had agreed.
you were currently in boston for billies 11th show. happier than ever just started signaling that this show would be over soon & you couldn't help but feel relieved. you were already feeling like death, but you pushed that away thinking about how its a one in a life time experience, & you were experiencing it with your girlfriend.
at the end she had sprinted off stage & into your arms, she was all sweaty but you had no care in the world.
"you were amazing baby oh my goodness!!" you screamed as she pulled her head away from your neck.
"thankyou mama" she barely got in as she connected your lips together.
billie had her way of making the kisses more heated, but at this moment she couldn't & you could tell that annoyed her abit. she loved the heated kisses even if they didnt go further, she just enjoyed them.
you pulled away, grabbing her hand in your own, finding finneas & andrew. walking out of the arena to the car so you all could go to the hotel you stayed in just for tonight since there was another show in boston the next day. ofcourse running into fans, you always ran into fans after shows aswell as in day to day life but that had never bothered you, why would it? it was the sweetest experience, alot of them even wanted photos with you which was heartwarming.
"they loooove youuuu" billie said after the encounter with the fans. she loved that they loved you as much as she does, it was a worry they wouldn't but you got accepted insanely quick.
finally at your shared hotel room billie plonked her stuff down & headed for the shower
"wanna join mama?" she teased in a serious manner as you sat at the end of the bed scrolling through instagram.
"no thanks mylove" you replied
she walked over & grabbed your chin, taking your attention away from your phone. she admired you for a moment.
"such a pretty girl" billies comment hung in the air for a second, she loved flustering you, watching your checks turn a rosey shade immediately.
"whatever you say baby" you said back, she leaned down to press a kiss to your lips then headed back towards the bathroom.
she had finished up showering & everything else, heading out of the bathroom she came to see you laying belly down on the bed unaware of her presence.
she moved closer, sitting next to you. slowly she trailed her hand up your back & under your shirt, drawing patterns but mainly trying to bring you back to earth abit. she knew you were already exhausted from tour though she'd never bring it up unless you did first.
"tours exhausting" you breathed out, moving your head to face her.
"i know honey, i know" billie calmly said.
she was use to it, partly. it wasnt her first tour so she knew the ropes. you on the other hand had never ever been so it was a first for you.
"ready to head to bed love? its 11:30pm" billie had a strict sleep schedule due to yk being on tour.
all you could give her was a slight nod with a "mhm"
billie moved & adjusted into the sheets around you, once she was comfy you moved to her & laid in her arms dozing off into a deep sleep, nothing was a safer feeling to you.

Hi!! Its the anon who sent in the chan car ride hard thought with the insta reel, if u remember me. But i have came to give u a new hard thought. First off, HAVE YOU SEEN THE VID OF CHAN DOING THAT LIL FINGER MOVE IN HALL OF FAME?!? i feel dizzy. 😵‍💫 anyways, onto my hard thought, picture this, y/n is scrolling on twt and that tweet that says imagine chan fingering you till you cry (or sum like that i hope you know what tweet im talking abt) and it has the chan vid attached to it, THEN BANGCHAN COMES INTO THE ROOM AND CATCHES Y/N AND FINGERS HEER OMGGGG (also i jus noticed that i used twt and tweet instead of X, sorry lol)
of course i remember you! hi, love! and YES, of course i saw that tweet, and i feel totally not normal about it! i would link them but i can't remember which accounts they're from sigh. also i hate calling it "x" bc cause wtf is that. LMAO
but onto this gem of a thought. honestly, he'd tease you so much if he caught you gushing over those tweets, he'd be so sweet about it though. if you don't mind i wanna add some more to this under the cut cause it just came to mind hehe (it's so long and i didn't proof read. help).
he caught you trying to finger yourself in his dorm room after spending almost hours scrolling through your timeline. you weren't really expecting to see anything interesting, but the only thing that popped up was the clips of him and that finger movement that caught your attention and immediately drove you insane. you couldn't help but keep watching the same clip over and over again in awe. it was just so attractive, especially when he made that certain expression and looked right straight at the camera, almost as if he were looking right at you.
so here you were now, desperately bucking your hips up against your hand, sticking your fingers as far inside your cunt as you could, palming your clit to gain some extra friction. you whined exasperatedly as you failed miserably yet again, not being able to get that stimulation you so desperately wanted.
chan got home a few minutes ago, so he's already been watching you, chuckling to himself softly cause you just look so cute like that—legs spread, face flushed a bright red, fucking your fingers in and out of your sopping hole. you keep going for a few more minutes, until you finally toss your head back to groan in frustration because it's just not enough.
his cock is already twitching, straining in his pants at the sight of you, so he can't help but open the door, and he finds it cute how you immediately close your legs and draw your hand back, the surprise of having been caught in the act showing on your face. he laughs softly and sits next to you on the bed. "what's wrong, love? you upset?" he asks, his tone teasing, yet sweet, and you can tell it's because he knows exactly what you were doing.
you nod and sigh, trying your best to come up with a reasonable explanation as to why you were naked on your boyfriend's bed, alone, when you knew he'd always expected you to wait for him whenever you needed to get off. "i was scrolling through twitter, and i saw these tweets about you... i got curious so i spent a while looking at them, and then..." you trail off with a gasp as he suddenly grabs your phone from where you'd put it next to you on the bed. you try to snatch it back, but he's a lot quicker than you. he scrolls a little bit, his expression serious, and then a smug smile plays at the corner of his lips as he looks at you again.
"aw baby, is this why you were so hot and bothered?" he asks, as he shows you one of the clips he was looking at, the same one from earlier, and your face turns an even darker shade of red as you nod. "that why you were using your cute little fingers, even though you know they're not good enough? you've got me right here. you could've asked me instead of just watching videos of me. i'll do whatever you want as long as i can make you feel good."
you feel like you're melting at the way condescension practically drips off his tongue, and you let him spread your legs for you again, this time using his own fingers to tease your swollen bud. he's such a dream come true. "'m sorry i couldn't wait for you," you start, but he shushes you softly. "that's okay, baby. i'm here now. i can help you," he says, and you want to thank him, but your words are cut short by the almost embarrassingly loud squeal that escapes your throat when he suddenly sticks his pointer and middle fingers in without warning, curling them just right, just like in that clip, finally giving you that pleasure you'd been chasing for hours now.
he watches you intently, from the way your back arches, to the way you clench around his fingers, but his expression stays blank. it doesn't take you that long to cum, and when you do, he doesn't stop. you look at him with furrowed brows, whining from the overstimulation, and he simply chuckles at your expression, not saying anything as he keeps torturing your walls with his fingers mercilessly. he's pushing you close to the edge all over again surprisingly quickly, and once you reach your second orgasm, you're already asking him to slow down, stop for a minute, so you can catch your breath. still, he doesn't. by the time you reach your fourth orgasm, you're already a sobbing stuttering mess as he makes you even more dumb on his fingers, begging him to stop, but that only makes him go much faster, his palm smacking your clit as he does so.
"this how needy you are for me? wanting to get yourself off without me cause of some video? you poor thing, thinking your fingers alone would satisfy you. you know you can't do it without me. guess i just have to remind you, hmm?"

✩ ISAGI YOICHI
you originally came to the club with your friends, looking around and even hoping that you would have a fun time. but right after the small group of you guys walked through the club doors, as each minute passed, one of your friends excused themselves.
"i need to go to the bathroom; be right back!"
"imma go get some drinks."
"WOOO PARTAYYY!"
you sighed as each excuse came after the other; you were now left alone, in a club, all by yourself. you looked around, not knowing what to do when you accidentally locked eyes with a guy with deep, dark blue eyes across the room. the blue-eyed man was sitting at a table with multiple people, assumingly his friends. the man was wearing a white collared shirt and some fancy dress pants. he had a charming aura around him that made you entranced. perhaps you found him cute.
but you looked away; you had one goal in mind: to stay sober. you knew you were one of the (un)designated drivers even if no one appointed you as such. nonetheless, you sat on a bar stool and asked for some water.
after a while, you just sat there watching the dance floor. for some reason, you kept on glancing at the man you had made eye contact with before; it was just something about him that captivated you. but you looked away; you weren’t here to just ogle some cute guy across the room.
just sitting there and looking around the party was kind of… boring. yeah, it was a party and all, and people were dancing, but without the alcohol, everything seemed so bland. and you didn’t want to be the type of person to just be on their phone the whole time.
some hours went by, and you finally stood up to go to the restroom. you did your business and went back to the party. that was until you saw the cute man you were gazing at before, but this time he looked like he was extremely drunk.
"i finally… got away… from reo…! ha…" the blue-eyed man said randomly, holding onto the walls and walking towards you. he didn't notice you when he spoke, but he caught sight of you after that. you can see the shift in his expression; his smile became lovestruck.
"oh heyyy! i noticed… you earlier.." the unknown man drunkenly walked up to you, giggling between the slurred words.
"i thought you were so cute-" "oh, there you are, isagi!"
you could see a purple-haired man walk up towards you, talking to the man you know named isagi. the sober man takes hold of isagi and starts to pull him away. "sorry! if isagi was bothering you!"
"reo.." isagi whined as his friend started to drag him away, "let me at least get their number!"
reo sighs while taking isagi to another friend of theirs, who seemed to have cyan hair. after reo leaves isagi with him. reo takes a piece of paper and writes something on it before coming back to you. "this is my friend isagi’s number. he was so interested in you once you walked in and would hate me if i didn't try to give you his number."
you smiled widely, and you guessed your fleeting feelings weren’t only one-sided. you took the paper and said, "i guess i’ll see more of you guys soon."
✩ ITOSHI RIN
you had to use the bus today, whether it was for school or work. nevertheless, you need to use public transportation at the moment. you stood by the bus stop, underneath the little roof made to shade people when it was sunny. you can see on the little notice board that the bus was two minutes away from arriving.
you start to pull out your fare when a loose coin falls out of your hands and conveniently goes down the drain. it's okay; you have another coin, right? you looked through your wallet to find any other currencies. but as you do not see anything, you start to frantically look for one, rechecking places that you have already checked.
the whole time you were trying to find an extra coin, the bus had arrived and was already taking people on it. you sighed, getting ready to start walking away from the bus stop. when a tall young guy lightly grabbed your wrist and pulled you onto the bus
"i’ll pay for it," the man said, already paying the fee. you looked at his face well; the guy who paid your bus fare had noticeably long under-eye lashes and bright teal blue eyes. you suddenly felt mesmerized by him—maybe it was because of the kind act he did or maybe because you find him cute. or both.
conveniently, both of you sat near each other, and you couldn't help but feel like staring at him. you want to help him after he helps you. he notices you staring at him and pulls down his headphones to hear what you have to say. "how can i repay you?" you asked the man.
"... you can leave me alone." what?! you weren't going to take that as an answer.
"oh come on! i want to do something more than that!" you kept on pestering him until he said something that you could help him with.
you soon learn that his name is rin itoshi but that was all you got out of him during the whole bus ride. it wasn’t until he stood up to leave for his destination that rin told you something. "since you won't stop bothering me. you can take me out on a date."
even though rin rolls his eyes, there's a slight waver in his voice as he says that. handing out his phone for you to type in your number. you were slightly shocked at how straightforward the guy is, but you smiled, complying with his request. busy doing so, that you couldn’t see how red his ears became and how he was staring out the distance at how awkward rin felt.
once you returned his phone, he said, "you’re lucky i find you attractive."
✩ MIKAGE REO
nagi had rented a new apartment unit in the city and asked reo to come over for whatever mundane help was needed in his place. or, as nagi calls it, a "hassle" to do. nagi tells him the address of his new home, but nagi might've accidentally typed the wrong apartment number because reo wouldn't think that nagi would magically have longer and darker hair.
"oh, i'm sorry, i must be in the wrong apartment." reo says, embarrassed from knocking on the wrong door number, his left hand reaching to the back of his nape with an awkward smile on his face.
"it’s okay!" you waved him off, trying to put off your feelings for this man you had just met. this man is cute as hell. you gushed in your thoughts.
"well, it was nice meeting you!" the purple-eyed man said warmly, bowing before taking his leave. you said your goodbyes and then closed your door. whatever you were doing beforehand, it was forgotten after meeting that man.
when am i going to see him again? you thought, staring at the plain door, standing at the same spot where you had met the man. maybe you wouldn’t ever see him again.
that was until someone knocked on your door a few days later. but it wasn’t the cute man who accidentally knocked on your door before. instead, it was your new neighbor next door, a guy with snowy white hair and sleepy eyes. he was holding something in a colorful bag, and it caught your eye.
"what a pain…" your neighbor sighs; it seems like your neighbor just woke up from a nap.
"reo… my friend. i don’t know why he can't do it himself, but he wants me to give you this." the sleepy man hands you over the colorful bag, then shortly utters a farewell to you. muttering how he was going to take a nap or play some video games.
once you closed the door, you excitedly rushed to your living room and immediately opened the gift that the man you now know the name of, reo, gave you. it was a cute plushie of a lion. you looked into the bag to see if he had given you anything else; there was a small card just below where the lion was placed.
‘hey! i thought you were extremely attractive and i was too scared to give you this in person, so i got my friend nagi to do it. anyways, i thought maybe we could talk sometime? here’s my number!
xxx-xxx-xxxx’
✩ ITOSHI SAE
parties. whether you love parties or not, you are currently hating the situation you are in because of it. you were enjoying yourself on the plush couch at reo’s place.
until it was broken when a man suddenly wrapped his arms around your shoulders. you turned your head and noticed it was a man who was a bit older than you. he was balding, and he didn't particularly fit the normal beauty standards. along with the fact that his perverted expression did not exactly make you feel comfortable.
"what is a cutie like you sitting here all alone?"
"uh…" you stuttered, laughing uncomfortably. but it seemed like the man didn’t notice the agonizing tone you had.
"do you want to maybe get out of here?" if there was even a bit of space between you two, the creepy man would move even closer if it was possible. with this man around, you suddenly felt dirty, as if you needed to shower. but this icky feeling abruptly went away, and you noticed the cute guy you were eyeing earlier. the teal-eyed man harshly threw off the creepy guy’s arm around you.
you noticed how he had blush-pink hair and was wearing clothing from brands you could never think of touching. the pink-haired man wrapped his arms around you, not with a hurtful grip but a tight one. but what bewildered you was what he said next: "get your hands off my partner, and no, they’ll be coming home with me."
your eyes widen slightly, my partner? but with the current context of what was happening, you soon realized that the charming man was trying to help you get out of this situation. you lean into the touch of the young man and try to muster the best smile you can.
"yeah, he’s my significant other. whom i love so much."
with this, the man who was harassing you earlier raised an eyebrow in disbelief. "oh really? kiss each other on the lips then."
you looked at the man next to you, who was defending you. what were you going to do?! without much thought, the pink-haired man closed his eyes, puckered his lips, and started to lean in. you guessed it—you have to do the same.
following the man with long undereye lashes. the kiss seems natural for both of you; your lips molded easily to his. easily forgetting everything and everyone around you and him; they became a blur. your kiss with him felt so short, yet you had to pull back for air. you caught your breath, then went back for the kiss.
right then and there, you thought, i’ll catch his name later.

Tartaglia x Reader (gn) - SAGAU
Another day, another post! im praying that this one is easier to write than yesterdays because i spent nearly 2 hrs trying to write my 1k words. thankfully me and childe are besties (real, not clickbait) and he's also my main so i don't have to read about his personality for a hour on the genshin impact wiki.
Contains - childe being sickeningly in love with you and kinda soft (my boy is whipped) the other harbingers also lowkey hate him, also the yandere behavior makes him ooc so im sorry if hes acting a lil bit goofy, also this fic is a bit more funny and lighthearted then the other two, so let me know if you like this
The previous fic if you want context is here
And the Dottore version is here
So without further ado, I introduce you to...
"Tartaglia?"
The voices outside halt for just a second, before you hear scuffling and harsh but hushed whispers from a number of different voices. Maybe he wasn't there. After all, as the least senior of all the Harbingers, maybe he was not invited to whatever conversation they were having right beyond your door. You strained to listen, but although their voices seemed to be slowly getting louder and more irate, you could only catch tiny snippets of what they were saying.
"-not going-"
"If you-"
"SO HELP ME TARTAGLIA, IF YOU TAKE ONE MORE STEP TOWARDS THAT DOOR, I WILL PERSONALLY THROW YOU OUT-"
You flinched slightly at the sudden exclamation, which was abruptly cut off with some loud crashes and violent curses. As the noises didn't cease, you found yourself shoving off your layers of blankets and shakily getting to your feet. You were distantly aware that you probably shouldn't be moving around this much, considering how weak your body felt and the dull ache in the patched wound on your side, but you chose to ignore it in favor of investigating.
When you reached the door and nudged it open slightly, you were greeted with, not a hallway like you had presumed, but a fancy lounge area, the sort for receiving guests if you were a rich person and couldn't be bothered leaving your quarters. But more interesting than the décor was the two Harbingers fighting rather aggressively in the middle of the room and the other nine Harbingers watching on with various shades of amusement and disgust. They seemed totally oblivious to your presence, eyes trained on Arlecchino as she threw a chair at Tartaglia, before tackling him to the ground. You stood hesitantly in the doorway, not stupid enough to try and intervene, but also genuinely concerned for the safety of both of the Harbingers.
"Oh, Your Grace! What are you doing out of bed?"
You turned to the large group of Harbingers to find Sandrone staring at you with a rather worried expression. Her words caused everyone to stop and turn to you, even Arlecchino who appeared to be currently attempting to strangle Tartaglia. After a brief pause, Capitano turned back to two on the floor.
"See Tartaglia? Your childish actions have disturbed the Divine One. You are hardly fit for your title as Harbinger, causing such distress for our most beloved god."
"I'M DISTURBING THEM?! Arlecchino was the one who screamed at the top of her lungs with no care for Their Grace's slumber, why am I being blamed?"
Arlecchino paled slightly at this and stared at you with an uncharacteristically anxious expression.
"I didn't wake you up, right?"
You felt yourself sway slightly and grabbed onto the doorframe, embarrassed at how quickly your body seemed to be giving out on you.
"Oh no, not at all. I was already awake, I was just listening to you all discuss what's going on with the other nations. That's why I called for Tartaglia, I wanted to ask him some questions about what I missed while I was sleeping."
There was a slightly awkward pause as what you just said sank in.
"Wait, you actually called for Tartaglia? He wasn't hallucinating it? Or lying so he could go in and see you?" Arlecchino asked, an incredulous look covering her face as she got up off the floor.
"Yeah, I didn't mean to start a fight or anything but..."
Your vision blurred slightly and your knees buckled slightly as another wave of pain hit you. You heard a few worried murmurs from the Harbingers, but before they could do anything, you were swept off your feet and carried back into your room.
"Sorry about making you get out of bed for that. Are you feeling okay?" Tartaglia whispered gently as he cradled you in his arms, kicking the door shut behind him.
"Yeah I'm fine. I probably just need another nap, clearly I'm not as well healed as I thought."
He nodded at that, laying you down silently on your bed before grabbing at your blankets and laying them back over you.
"Sorry for causing you so much trouble, Ajax."
"Ajax?"
You hesitated, suddenly unsure of how he would react to his actual name. But he only smiled, with what seemed to be a slight blush covering his cheeks.
"I had no idea that you knew my real name! I mean, of course you do, but I just didn't think you would take much notice and-"
He paused, seemingly noticing your tired eyes.
"Ah, I'm sorry, I'll ramble another time. Please, if you so wish, call me Ajax."
"Perhaps not in front of the other Harbingers though. I wouldn't want to drag you into another spat." You whispered sleepily.
"Don't worry about that!" He grinned widely at you. "I can take them on, call me what you want."
He got up from beside you, with one last sentence before he left.
"Sweet dreams, Your Grace."
Glad to report that this one was a lot easier to write and I was actually giggling a little while picturing Arlecchino trying to beat Tartaglia. I might write Pierro's ending today, just because I have some time and I'm in a good writing mood. The order of the endings so far are Pierro, Capitano, Pantalone and Scaramouche. If you guys want to comment which of the women you want to go after Scaramouche, I'll add them to the list! (also no, I'm not writing Pulcinella)

NikPrice headcanons that I wrote at 2am
. Price doesn't bother to say much to Soap or Ghost about their relationship since they so often remind him of Nikolai and himself. He sees the same level of codependence and rapid-fire intensity that they display towards each other, and he can't help but think of the gold necklace that's neatly tucked in his shirt.
- No such thing as a slow burn for these two. If you thought Ghost and Soap were codependent then you haven't met young!nikprice. They got better as they got older, but You Can Tell
- met in a scary forest, nik got a knife held to his throat, and Price woke up three hours later in an abandoned shed with their clothes scattered everywhere god bless 🙏
- both of them have scary dog privileges
- no matter where he is, Price will always look up at the sound of a helicopter and watch it until it fades into the distance.
. Price doesn't believe in soulmates, but he remembers to thank whatever God must be out there for putting him and Nik in that God forsaken forest where they both met each other.
. They absolutely fail at pretending to be excited when they see each other. Soap snickers as Price damn near refuses to take his eyes off of Nik vs Farah who rolls her eyes at the goofy smile Nik has plastered to his face when he sees Price. They're like *children*.
- Price is a boydad and Nik is a girldad go argue with the wall
. Price so blatantly loves the faint grey hairs that are slowly beginning to grow on Nik's belly. It's a reminder that they're still alive, and that maybe that happy ending is just on the horizon for them both. He wants to grow old with him.
- Nik, who is so gleeful at the faint grey hairs that have began to show in Price's beard over the years.
- got married in a run down chapel with a priest that Nik may or may not have threatened with a knife
- they have mastered the art of silent conversations much to everyone's annoyance.
- Nik is a romantic, and if you see Price with different flowers on his desk every Friday then no you didn't.
- both of them have shot each other, and no one knows the full story (Nik has told several different versions every time someone asks)
- they hibernate in the winter or at least they try to lmao (they both love naps). There's no little spoon or big spoon, just pass out on the bed and pray that neither of them fall out.
- dear God the snores that come from the both of them 💀
- He was his King, and God help anyone who dared to disrespect his King 😤😤😤
- They both enable each other lmao they're both several shades of unhinged, and honestly it's what makes the sex between them better
- my personal au is that Nik eventually gets hurt to the point where he can't go on missions anymore, and Price does not hesitate to step back from being in the field to take care of him. He's tired, and if this is the final push for him to lay down his weapons then so be it.
- They know each others moods as innately as they would their own. Nik can read the lines of exhaustion on Price's face as clearly as ever, and Price knows the deeper meaning behind every single one of Nik's "jokes"
- Price surprising Nik with his own new identity, and taking his last name 🥺 As if Nik would ever give up his last name "Price"
- would kill for each other 100% don't even have to ask twice.
- they like to fish, but honestly Price just likes it when Nik begins telling another one of his stories while he sits back and listens to the sound of his voice and gentle waves of lake at their quaint little cabin
- Not the best cooks, but they try! Have definitely taken a cooking class together with mixed (aka illegal) results.
- Alpha/Alpha coded im not sorry

cowboy(ish)! bakugou katsuki x fem! reader summary: This had to count as one of the worst days in your entire life — stuck on the side of the road in the hot sun in the middle of nowhere with your old, stupid, broken down car and no cell service. At least there was a super hot cowboy who stopped to help. contains: FLUFFF OMG JUST FLUFF AND LOVE word count: 11.6k (somebody sedate me pls) masterlist a/n: this is for the loml, @katxn15, for her birthday that was like, a month ago, BUT I FINALLY FINISHED OKAY IM SORRY IK I SUCK (but also, apologies to my followers, i still feel like this writing isn't my best work - but we're kicking writer's block's ass one day at a time) also, here's the strawberry jam recipe
Tumblr media
This had to count as one of the worst days in your entire life — stuck on the side of the road in the hot sun in the middle of nowhere with your old, stupid, broken down car and no cell service.
You’d just been trying to drive back home from college for spring break, but no — the universe had decided that it was too much to ask for and decided to dump you here, on the side of the backroad (because, of course, you thought that using the backroad would be quicker to avoid the usual highway traffic; and now there were no cars passing by that could help you) in the middle of some random field on a hot spring day.
You finally gave up trying to call someone — your roommate, your parents, a friend from your hometown — after about twenty minutes, when you realized that the phone stopped ringing completely and a low battery notification popped up.
Fucking hell.
Under the hot sun of the afternoon and without the AC, the car had started to reach its boiling point, leaving it unbearable to be stuck inside even if it offered the smallest amount of shade from the blinding light above. Your water bottle was all finished now too, so you were sure if you didn’t get out, you’d die of heat stroke.
The air was sticky when you finally cracked open the driver’s door, and paired with the direct sunlight overhead you could already feel yourself turn sweaty and breathless in the heat, and yet you pushed yourself out with your phone still in hand and outstretched, trying to catch at least one minute of cell service.
For a minute you thought one bar popped up, but it was gone as soon as it came and you were left with nothing as you flung it back into the car and closed the door out of frustration.
The stupid, fucking car just had to break down in the worst place possible, out in the middle of nowhere where no one was driving by.
“Fuck!” You finally let out in frustration, grasping at your hair and pulling at it as the panic set in.
You’d been sitting in your car for about thirty minutes now, and no one had driven by in all that time.
What if you were just stuck there until you died of heatstroke — okay that was an exaggeration, but at this rate you might have to be stuck on the side of the road for hours, you might even have to sleep in your car until morning.
Your back hurt just thinking about it.
At the very least you’d be extremely dehydrated, you could already feel the energy getting sucked out of you from the sun in reverse photosynthesis — and now that you thought about it you kinda had to pee.
Scratch that, you really had to pee.
There were just miles of fields ahead and behind you, there was nowhere to go unless you wanted to just go at it right there in a bush, but there was no way you were attempting that.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck…” You paced around your car trying to will your bladder to stop bothering you, hoping — or praying, more like — that someone would pass by and that they could just take you to their little nearby house.
These fields had to belong to somebody, with the wheat, or whatever it was, that was being grown in bulk, there had to be someone living out there somewhere who had a bathroom that you could use.
And after what felt like an hour of waiting under the sun (though it was only about ten minutes), your prayers were finally answered when you spotted a red, old, beat-up looking pick up truck from across the distance, and the sight was enough to propel you to start waving your arms and jump around to catch their attention.
Maybe it was a nice, old farmer who was just heading to his house nearby who’d be kind enough to let you use their bathroom and phone and to help you with your car.
And that’s who you were expecting to step out when it slowed to a stop — a nice, old, friendly dude.
Except it wasn’t.
Instead, you were faced with a tall, young (your age, it looked like actually), attractive guy wearing worn-out cowboy boots, faded jeans, an orange plaid shirt, and a cowboy hat with blonde strands peeking out from underneath. And not only was he not old or a farmer, he was also scowling at you like it was your fault he’d decided to stop.
That was enough for your open mouth to snap closed in an instant, and instead of explaining your situation to him and thanking him for stopping like you were planning on doing, you stood there frozen with wide eyes, watching as he stomped towards you like he was about to yell at you for something.
You cringed away from his figure with your eyes squeezed shut in response to his expected lecture, only for them to pop open when he spoke in a soft, grumbled tone instead.
“Yer car’s broken?”
“Huh?” you blinked up at him like you’d just been squirted in the face with water.
He rolled his eyes before they rested back onto your face with that same scowl. “Is yer car broken?” he asked louder.
“Oh, yeah” you quickly turned away to point at it as you babbled dumbly. “I think it’s the engine. It’s really old so it kinda sucks now.”
“Lemme take a look,” he walked around you towards the hood of your car — and you just stood awestruck as your mind finally registered that he wasn’t about to attack you, and that he was instead looking down at the wires and stupid things in the hood of your car like any other normal, nice person would have.
Why’d he look so angry then? A super bad case of resting bitch face?
You trailed after him, watching from the sidelines as he fiddled around with stuff you didn’t understand, biting the inside of your cheek when he reached up to wipe away some sweat that was dripping down his face before he continued working.
You know, now that you thought about it, he was actually super good looking. Under the small shade from the hood of the car, you could carve out his features: red, piercing eyes, clear skin, a strong jawline.
Your roommate would be so jealous if she found out some super hot cowboy helped you with your car. It was straight out of a romance book actually. If only you hadn’t thrown your phone back in the car out of anger, you could’ve snuck a picture of him and sent it to her when you finally got cell service.
You could already imagine the look on her face if you were able to get a picture of this guy, all screwed up in anger and—
“Engine’s gone,” the cowboy’s voice came back, and you were back to being an idiot.
“What?” you blinked up at him.
“S’not fixable. Engine’s dead,” he responded as he shut the hood. “Yer gonna need a ride then?”
“Yeah, uh actually,” you rubbed the back of your neck that was definitely gonna be sunburned, “I kinda have to use the bathroom. Do you live nearby, or—”
“Town’s about thirty minutes away, n’ I live past that.”
“Shit,” you mumbled under your breath while turning away.
What the fuck were you supposed to do now?
“Jus’ go here,” he gestured to the blowing wheat field around you. “No one’s gonna find out.”
“Um, no,” you stopped him. “I’m not gonna do that.”
“Why? Yer too civilized for that shit?”
“I never said that—”
“Ya cityfolk have never had to piss outside before?” he challenged with a raised eyebrow.
You knew he was just trying to rile you up for some odd reason, trying to challenge you into doing something stupid and dumb just for the hell of it. And yet, and this sounded so idiotic, you felt like he was trying to guage something about you, to test some limit you had to see how far he could push you, and for some goddamn reason you were letting him push you past it.
Or maybe it was just because you had to pee really bad and were getting to the point where you really didn’t care anymore.
Either way your patience was running thin.
“I literally never said anything about any of that,” you huffed. “Stop putting words in my mouth. But fucking fine!” you raised your arms up in despair. “I’ll go piss somewhere out here. Happy now?”
The cowboy’s face twisted into surprise for a split second, but you watched it switch back into a frown as he stared boredly.
“Don’t take long. I’ve got places to be,” you could almost hear the chuckle in his voice — he really wasn’t as attractive now that he’d opened his mouth.
.
.
.
Mr. not-so-attractive-anymore cowboy didn’t even help you when you had to pull your overstuffed suitcase out of your trunk and stick it in the back of his pickup.
“A little help?” you’d looked at him with your hands on your hips after trying to hoist it onto the back of his pickup truck and failing.
“I’m the one doing you a favor,” was what he replied with before he just went and sat in the driver's seat — in response you stuck a middle finger out to his back.
It took a couple of tries, but you finally got it up and secured it — though you could feel the sweat that’d built up from you trying to lift your heavy, overpacked suitcase out in the sun and humidity.
Damn you really wanted to kick yourself in the head for being stunned by his looks when you first saw him, his personality was actual garbage.
“Took ya long enough,” he grumbled when you swung the passenger door open, and you scoffed and rolled your eyes, making sure to close the door harsher than it needed to be in response.
You almost expected him to get angry at you for it, but at that point you didn’t care because you finally had AC. It was a sigh of relief after being stuck outside in the sweltering, afternoon sun for almost an hour, and you let yourself lean against the headrest as you finally let yourself breathe something other than the humid air outside that made you feel like you were choking on your own lungs.
The cowboy didn’t say anything after his initial comment, and you both instead drove down the road in silence as you stared out the window, watching the blur of fields and green that passed, with only the sound of the AC blasting to keep you both company.
You found yourself staring at him from the side after a while, perhaps out of boredom; and though you berated yourself once more for being so attracted to him because of how good he looked despite his personality, you couldn’t not thank him for helping you out in a dire situation.
“Thank you,” you found it in yourself to utter it somewhere besides your mind, and you noticed the slight tinge of a smile on his lips and the way his eyes slid over to you for a second.
“What was that?”
“You heard me the first time,” you groaned, resting your head in the palm of your hands while your elbow leaned on the door handle.
That elicited a small chuckle from the cowboy, and somehow you found yourself smiling in return.
“What am I supposed to do with my car?” you took advantage of the more normal mood. “I can’t just leave it on the side of the road.”
“I know someone who can deal with that in town, s’not really a problem.”
“Is there cell service there?” you instantly shot up. “I really have to tell my parents about what happened since they were expecting me to be home in the evening.”
“There’s nothin’ really in town, to be honest — most people use landlines ‘round here,” he shrugged. “Where I live’s got service though, I can bring you there.”
“...Thank you..” you found yourself choking out again. It had to be his stupidly handsome face, there was nothing else that could explain it.
You noticed the small twitching smile on his lips again before it disappeared into his resting bitch face, but he wasn’t cocky about your thanks this time.
“S’not a big deal,” he grumbled back.
“I’m Y/N.” You decided to make the leap before the car settled back into the sound of blasting AC.
“Katsuki,” he replied without missing a beat.
At least now you knew Mr. Cowboy’s name.
“Town’s up ahead,” Katsuki spoke after a minute or so, pointing towards the small sign posted at the side of the road that read Welcome to Auburn Springs — and you watched the deserted-looking fields transform into roads and small buildings through the window as Katsuki began slowing down to adhere to the changed speed limit.
It looked straight out of those old western movies your dad was obsessed with for some reason — with small, cramped and shabby buildings lining the main road, though they all seemed to be out of use with either boarded up doors and windows or peeling signs that read CLOSED.
These used to be businesses, you quickly realized, from the couple of handpainted, faded logos that were still stuck to a couple of windows; but they all had to be shut down for some reason. Perhaps the buildings were too old?
“This is town?” you turned to Katsuki, confused. How did people get anything done?
“Old town,” he grumbled back. “Main street’s up ahead.”
You nodded before turning back out the window, taking note of Katsuki turning right at the edge of the street to where you were met with a lot of buildings with very obviously newer construction (though it was still quite old fashioned — but it wasn’t historic).
Smaller, obviously Mom and Pop shops, lined the street — you caught a motel, a café, and a small grocery store — following the curve of the road as it went into a roundabout at what you guessed was the center of town. A towering fountain stood in the middle of the small square, a young man standing proudly in the middle of it, watching over all the stores for their protection.
Katsuki pulled past the roundabout into a small parking lot behind one of the buildings on the side, and quickly gestured for you to get out.
“I’ll take ya to the tow shop first,” he guided you back towards the stores, and you got a better view of the small town center and the shops that lined it, the small boxes of flowers that were laid out on the sidewalk next to the streetlamps, the single stoplight at the end of the road with a blinking yellow light — you guessed a lot of people didn’t come by.
“Ya comin’?”
You hadn’t realized you’d stopped in the middle of the sidewalk to stare.
Your head snapped back to where Katsuki was standing. “Yeah, yeah. Sorry.”
He nodded slightly, gesturing to the shop behind him and for you to follow him in. When he opened the door to walk in, you half expected him to let the door fall closed behind him; you couldn’t really stop your eyes from widening when he held the door open for you, stunned in place until he glared at you and gestured for you to walk in.
You were immediately blasted with air again, coming from the large fan attached to the cracked ceiling, met with a small shop: an empty counter in the back, and a couple of comfy old armchairs chairs in the foreground with a round, wooden table in the middle.
“Ei!” Katsuki called out, and it startled you out of the calm silence that was present in the shop.
“One sec Katsuki I’m coming!” someone called out from somewhere in the back, maybe there was a hidden room back there.
Katsuki huffed before walking towards the counter while you followed behind him slowly and unsurely, guessing you were waiting for whoever Ei was.
“Sorry, Sorry I–” a tall, red-haired guy (who was also very attractive — was this where all the hot guys had gone?) appeared from some side door that you hadn’t noticed, pausing when he saw you standing there behind the counter as well. “...I was just eating lunch really quickly. I, uh, how can I help you ma’am?”
You opened your mouth to answer but Katsuki was already talking just as the words were forming in your head.
“Her car’s stuck on the side of the highway — the side road ya know? ‘Bout thirty minutes out of town — engine looked like it was busted.”
“Ei” stood there for a few seconds, blinking between you and Katsuki for what felt like hours before his eyes brightened and smiled at the both of you.
“That’s not a problem ma’am,” he nodded towards you. “I can grab it easily and bring it over to Sero’s across the street. He can fix it up for ya if it isn’t too messed up.”
“That would be a life saver, thank you,” you spoke before Katsuki could say anything. “How much do I owe you?”
Ei just let out a smile. “S’not a problem. Any friend of Katsuki’s is a friend of mine.”
“She’s not a friend,” you heard a pained grumble from beside you, and you rolled your eyes.
“No, I insist,” you pushed, turning back to Ei. “I can’t ask you to do something like that without paying you for it.”
Ei let out a small chuckle, with a look directed towards Katsuki that you couldn’t exactly make out, before replying. “Twen’y dollars is enough.”
You dug through the wallet that had been sitting in your back pocket, fishing out a fifty dollar bill instead and placing it on the counter.
Ei opened his mouth to ask about giving you change but you stopped him before he could speak.
“Keep it. You don’t have to charge me a heavily discounted price.”
A slow, toothy smile spread on his face once more, as he glanced back between both you and Katsuki before sliding the bill back over the counter to his side and tucking it to somewhere you couldn’t see it.
“I’ll let ya know tomorrow when I get the car over to Sero’s. Ya got a number that’s good to call?” he grabbed a notepad from his side of the counter and a pen, scribbling quickly as you rattled off your phone number.
“Great, I’ll give ya a call tomorrow ma’am,” he nodded his head slightly.
“Oh, you don’t need to call me that,” you stopped him. It felt weird being called something that made you feel so old. “Just Y/N’s fine.”
“Good to know,” he reached his hand out towards yours over the counter, eyes sliding over towards Katsuki in a way that you didn’t notice. “I’m Eijirou, Miss Y/N.”
You shook his hand with a smile — two super attractive dudes in one day? Your roommate was gonna be mad mad that she decided not to come back with you when you’d asked. “Nice to meet you Mr. Eijirou.”
“Likewise.”
Katsuki cleared his throat, and both you and Eijirou’s handshake broke apart in time for Katsuki to come close enough to grumble in your ear that you looked like you were going to pass out.
“Go get somethin’ from the café across the other side of the fountain,” he pointed out the window. “You’ll get heatstroke otherwise.”
You could barely get yourself to register how close he was standing next to you as he practically breathed down your neck with the smell of his woody, spicy aftershave swallowing you — so you nodded quickly, waved bye to both (and the cool air from the fan) before you pressed open the door and stepped out to shield them both from the view of your flushed face. You could practically feel the heat radiating off your cheeks as you power walked across the sidewalk, trying not to think about what’d just happened in less than a minute.
“Who was she?” Eijirou gave a cheeky smile as he leaned forward on the counter once the door closed behind you. “Ya finally got yourself a girl, man?”
“No one you fuckass,” Katsuki rolled his eyes as he sneered.
“She didn’t look like no one,” Kirishima’s smile widened.
“Jus’ found her on the side of the road and she needed help. Nothin’ more than that.”
“Yeah right Katsuki,” he let out a chuckle. “Yer not known to be the most helpful out there.”
“What’s that supposed t’mean?”
“I’ve known you since we were kids, ‘kay? Yer not exactly known to hold open doors for girls,” Eijirou rose his eyebrows in a smug look. “And I can’t blame ya. She’s pretty.”
“Whatever,” Katsuki crossed his arms over his chest as he turned away.
“Would’ya mind if I asked her out then?” Eijirou hit him with the ultimatum, a growing smirk on his face as he watched Katsuki’s shoulders tense in anger. “I already got her number too, I could ask her tomorrow when I call ‘bout her car. Maybe we could go down to the bar and get a couple drinks, I’ll invite her back—”
“Fine, ya little shit.” Katsuki whirled back around with a scowl imprinted into his features. That’s the reaction he was looking for. “She’s pretty or whatever, ‘kay? I just stopped ‘cause I saw her jumpin’ on the side of the road like a lunatic. But that doesn’t mean anythin’. I don’t like her or nothin’.”
“I never said anything about likin’ her,” Eijirou chuckled. “S’not a bad thing, man. It’s good that yer letting yerself out a lil’. And she seems like a nice person to do that with.”
“Gimme that fifty back,” Katsuki opened his palm over the counter. “Put it on my tab instead.”
Eijirou stuck it in his palm without hesitation, a small, knowing smirk resting over his face as he watched Katsuki stick into his back pocket.
Katsuki liked you.

As it turned out, Katsuki had gone to the city for a farmer’s market (as he did every Sunday and Tuesday), which meant he had to go to that little grocery store you’d noticed to sell off the couple extra crates of fruit he had sitting in the back of the truck. Even though you tried to tell him that you could help him carry at least one as thanks for giving you a ride, he told you that your “noodle arms” weren’t gonna be of any help to him, and carried all of them across the street while telling you to stay by the pickup truck with your iced tea.
It was winding down towards the evening, you realized, as you watched the wispy clouds overhead take their slow strides across the blue sky; the sun was definitely leaning towards the western hemisphere of the sky now, towards a string of mountains that laid in the distance.
Out of plain curiosity, you slipped your phone out of your pocket to see if there was any cell service available. Even a little bit would’ve been fine at that point, you just had to tell your parents what happened and that your trip was probably canceled.
But, as Katsuki had said, there was nothing, not even a single bar, and you only had about five percent of battery left. Great.
You shoved it back into your pocket without another thought, sipping from your iced tea while shielding your eyes from the sun.
“If ya drink like that yer gonna have to piss again.”
Mr. Cowboy Katsuki was back.
“Shut up,” you rolled your eyes and flipped him off before walking towards the passenger’s side.
He only barked out a laugh that startled you, leaving him in a lopsided smile that you couldn’t exactly understand — but you were both on the road before you knew it, passing by a couple of different farms that he pointed out because you couldn’t tell the difference between wheat and barley.
It wasn’t long until he pointed out that they’d passed his property line, and you watched the wheat fields turn into corn as Katsuki turned into a smaller, winding road up to a large house you could see from the distance.
“That’s the main house,” Katsuki knew to explain from your curious stare. “I don’t live there. It’s where my boss lives.”
“Oh. What’s your job then?”
“I’m a ranch hand, I help out with stuff ‘round the property. Takin’ of horses and cows n’ shit.”
Well that explained the cowboy outfit.
“I thought you said you were taking me to where you lived.”
“I do live here. I don’t live there, though,” he gestured towards the house specifically. “There’re smaller cabins scattered around the property — two others live on site too.”
“Ranch hands, you mean?”
He grumbled in agreement, and you nodded as you watched the house grow larger and larger until he’d parked the truck right in the middle of the driveway.
You followed him out of the car as he marched straight into the house as if he owned the place, taking hesitant steps until you closed the front door behind you to observe the cozy space that’d been made; a beautiful stone fireplace was what you noticed when you first walked in, as well as the two tufted, brown leather couches with, what looked like, a hand-quilted blanket tossed over the side, and a wooden coffee table in the center to complete the living room.
It made you want to curl up with a book and a cup of coffee just from the sight of it, but you were in some random person’s house you had to remind yourself as you followed where you saw Katsuki disappear to the kitchen (which was small, quaint — with a pretty bowl of fruit on the counter and a dark stained dining table already set with four places of silverware) and the back door where you could see him standing through the window talking to someone.
You quickly made your way outside, where Katsuki was talking to an older man with a large crate in his hands; he was thinned and tall, with blonde hair that stuck out from under the straw hat he was wearing and bright, cheerful blue eyes — with a small smile peeking from his lips when he noticed that you were standing there.
What did Katsuki say to him?
“Sorry to hear about yer car,” he approached you, a gentle tone in his voice. “I do hope it can be fixed tomorrow so you can go home. In the meantime, why don’t you stay in the guest bedroom upstairs?”
“Are you sure?” you blinked. You hadn’t even said anything to the dude and he was already offering to let you stay the night? “I don’t want to be any trouble, I mean there was a motel in town I could just stay–”
“Ya can’t even drive there by yerself,” Bakugou interrupted. “And I’m sure as hell not driving ya there.”
“It would be no trouble,” the man said as he walked up onto the porch. “I have more than enough food ready and the guest room’s always prepared.”
“Uh, then yes. Thank you, Mr…”
“Toshinori,” he nodded as he passed you to step inside. “Just Toshinori, no need for honorifics.”
“Thank you, Toshinori.”
“Of course. Katsuki, get ‘er suitcase outta the trunk, will ya? And show her where the guest bedroom is,” Toshinori said before disappearing into the kitchen, and you inwardly smirked when Katsuki grumbled under his breath about having to lug your heavy suitcase up the stairs yet showed you back through the house and up the stairs without saying anything to Toshinori.
He just pointed towards the room from across the hall, told you the bathroom was right across from it, and trudged back down the stairs with his heavy boot fall to go get your suitcase.
You wandered into the room, taking in the simple wooden bed frame and linen sheets, the matching dresser and nightstand set as well as the lacy curtains that were tied to the edges of the window to let the sun in.
It was pretty and pleasing and simple, and you sat down on the bed without thinking about it to grab your phone from its spot in your back pocket, only to be greeted by a (what seemed like) a thousand notifications from your parents and your roommate — which meant you’d finally gotten some cell service.
You called your mom first, of course — she would’ve killed you if you hadn’t — and she was almost crying when you told her that you were okay and that the car had just decided to be a piece of shit and break down in the worst place possible. She seemed hesitant to hang up once you’d finished, but she ran out of things to tell you about and finally had to let you go after about two minutes.
Your roommate though, you savored that conversation.
“Are you fucking kidding me?” she screamed. “You just happen to be stuck where all the hot people are and you can’t even send me a picture of one of them?”
“It was only like, two hot guys but whatever.”
“Okay, okay, okay — what about the cowboy though? You said he was an asshole but he was hella good looking. Like how good looking, describe him.”
“Um, well he’s blonde, and tall,” you bit the inside of your cheek. “Super attractive. Probably toned too, I mean he does work on a farm all day, I’m sure he does a lot of heavy lifting.”
“Anything else?” she pressed. “Give me specifics here.”
“His eyes are red, like a really pretty, vibrant red — kinda like a strawberry, sorta. And he’s always kinda frowning. That’s why I was scared of him when I first saw him! I thought he was gonna come and yell at me, I swear–”
You were interrupted by knocking, where you whirled around to find Katsuki standing at your open door with your suitcase, his (what you guessed, at this point you only knew him for like, two hours) usual frown on his face but with a new look you hadn’t seen in his eyes.
Shit. He fucking heard me, right?
“Dinner’s in twen’y,” was all he said before he left — and you let out a sigh of relief in return at the lack of reaction.
By the time you’d washed your face and gotten downstairs, the table had already been joined by two other guys, who, you guessed, were the other ranch hands Katsuki was talking about earlier, along with an additional place setting at the end of the table. One of the guys was covered in freckles and had green hair, and the other had dual-colored red and white hair. Izuku, who you learned was the green-haired guy, asked you a million questions about college: what you majored in, what it was like living in the city, how it was to attend classes everyday — everything he could probably think about; in the meantime Shoto, Mr. red and white hair, sat quietly and nodded along to whatever Izuku said.
Surprisingly, Katsuki did the same as Shoto did, with the occasional grunt to something or a one-word answer when Toshinori told him about something that had to be done the next day, and it was surprising to see him act un-snarky compared to how he’d been earlier; you kinda wanted to kick him under the table just to see what he would do in response, but you didn’t want to be rude, especially not when his boss was nice enough to let you stay the night without even meeting you — for all he knew, you might rob the place and sneak away when no one was awake.
And honestly, it was nice to sit down and eat at a dinner table, it felt like you were at home when you were in highschool, where your mom did that thing where she made everyone go around the table and talk about one thing interesting they learned that day; it was so different from the nights you’d spent cooped up in the quiet library with a simple sandwich so you could get through your essay in time.
You were quick to offer help in cleaning up (since you’d been upstairs pacing around your room trying to convince yourself that Katsuki, in fact, hadn’t heard what you’d said about him and the weird glint in his eye was made up in your mind) since you’d been upstairs when they were setting the table, stacking all the plates silverware and bringing them over to the sink where Katsuki was already washing his.
“Just put ‘em down, I’ll do ‘em,” he pointed to the counter space next to the sink.
“I can help though,” you crossed your arms over your chest. He hadn’t even let you carry one crate when you were in town — he had to at least let you help here.
“Clean up the lefto’ers,” he rolled his eyes before going back to scrubbing a plate. “There’s smaller containers in that cabinet next to the fridge. Put ‘em in there and bring me the bigger dishes.”
“Aye Aye Captain.”
You heard him grumble under his breath and you laughed as you stuffed leftover carrots into a smaller tupperware container.
It was kinda funny, actually, how your perception of him had changed in the past couple hours: you’d gone from being scared of him, to thinking he was attractive, then finding out he was an asshole, and now you were stuck in this weird limbo of being friendly and awkward with him.
“Do you have a phone charger I could borrow?” you asked as you placed the larger dishes next to the sink. “My phone is about to die and I forgot to bring one.”
“No.”
“I won’t lose it or break it if that's what you’re thinking,” you stood next to him as finished up the dishes.
“Can’t,” was all he said as he used a towel to dry his hands.
“Why not?” you raised an eyebrow at him.
“I don’t have one.”
That made you pause for a second, stuck in place as you watched him shuffle to the other side of the kitchen to do something.
“What do you mean you don’t have one?”
“I don’t have one,” he shrugged.
“What do you use to charge your phone then?”
“I have one but it won’t work on yers.”
“Why? What phone do you have?”
And damn, were you shocked when he pulled an old flip phone out of his back pocket to show you.
“Are you serious?” you blinked between him and the phone in his hand, watching as the scowl on his face deepened — and that was about all you could take before you burst into laughter. “How do you do anything on it? Can you even text on it or what?”
“Oh shaddup,” he grumbled as he shoved it into his back pocket, watching as you could barely hold yourself up as you laughed about him being a grandpa and the phone being from the 1990s.
The both of you’d actually forgotten that everyone else was still in the kitchen with you — until Midoriya told you that he had a phone charger you could borrow, leaving you and Katsuki standing there and staring at the rest of the kitchen with wide eyes until you could finally muster out a “yes” and a “thank you”.

Waking up the next morning without the sound of your phone alarm screaming at you to get up so you could lug yourself to class was refreshing, to say the least. It was almost strange to wake up naturally, to the sunlight streaming in through the window and the view of the green fields outside.
It was probably the most relaxed you’d felt in a while.
In fact you were so relaxed, that you stumbled down the stairs after just crawling out of bed in need of some coffee since you remembered that you’d noticed one when you were in the kitchen yesterday. It was already late morning, so you expected that everyone else would be out doing whatever their jobs were anyways, it wouldn’t matter what you looked like.
The wooden floors creaked underfoot as you stepped into the kitchen, beelining straight to the coffee pot that sat on the counter next to the fridge — a smile perking up when you realized there was already coffee in it, and it was still a good temperature.
But you almost spilled coffee all over yourself when someone cleared their throat, and you whirled around to find Katsuki sitting at the kitchen table with a mug in hand; a stupid smirk climbing up his face as he realized he’d scared you.
“Did sleeping beauty finally wake up?” he sipped his coffee, looking up at you through his eyebrows.
You only rolled your eyes as you took a sip from your own mug, though you pulled away after a second because it was way too bitter.
“Do you guys have any creamer or something?”
“Fridge,” he grumbled — eyes following as you opened it and grabbed a small glass container, pouring it into your coffee and putting it back before stirring it with a spoon and coming to sit at the table.
“What time do you wake up?” you asked after a moment. “I’m guessing you didn’t just get up and come here to grab coffee.”
“Around six,” he shrugged. “We try to do more work in the mornings so it’s not too hot.”
You just nodded as you went back to sipping on your coffee, watching from the windows as the fields swayed in response to the wind. Life seemed to move so much slower out here, which was so strange compared to the busy lifestyle you were used to.
And what felt even stranger was Katsuki sitting next to you, sipping on his coffee, without a care in the world — strangely domestic, even. You could find yourself imagining your future like this, in a small little kitchen being served pancakes and coffee as you stared out to the pretty, lush fields outside.
But, why were you thinking about this with Katsuki?
You turned to look at him discreetly, watching his throat move slowly as he sipped on his coffee, the steam still rising from the cup.
How was he able to drink it when it was so hot? Was he secretly burning his tongue and keeping quiet about it?
“Ei–Eijirou call you yet?” Katsuki (speak of the devil) asked suddenly, his voice harder and colder, a contrast to what it had been when he’d first called you out for sleeping in.
“I don’t think so,” you shrugged, sitting up straighter. “I haven’t checked my phone yet. But I’m pretty sure his phone call would’ve woken me up.”
“Let me know what happens,” he said as he pushed himself up from the table. “I can drive ya into town if it gets fixed.”
“I will,” was all you could say before he was already out on the porch, back door slamming behind him as you were left staring at the rest of the empty kitchen.
The sudden change in his behavior threw you off, leaving you with whiplash as you took another small sip of your coffee. You thought the both of you would continue being as friendly as you had been yesterday — if “friendly” could be defined as trying to get a rise out of the other, but to you it meant the same.
What’d happened in the few minutes that neither of you were talking?
You could only let out a sigh, pushing yourself up from the table to wash your mug in the sink with a small, unnoticed frown settling over your lips. And it, once more, led you towards the question: why were you thinking about Katsuki?
And you could try to justify it by saying it was because he was the only person you’d really talked to in the entire town — maybe the only person you really got to know (in a small way). Maybe it was just because he was attractive, and there was some sort of pull that always seemed to lead to wherever he was — you really weren’t sure.
Omygodddd…. I’m getting hung up over a guy I’ve barely met.
And with that, you headed upstairs to take a shower and clear your head.

You were, once again, reminded by the circumstances of your trip when you opened your suitcase to only find it stuffed with winter clothes — a byproduct of you still having a majority of your wardrobe stuck in your room at your parents house. You’d been planning on switching out your winter wardrobe with the summer clothes from home over your week spent there, since the sweaters and puffy jackets took up too much space for anything else to fit in your small, shared dorm closet.
The only thing that seemed to be appropriate for the weather outside was an oversized university t-shirt that you’d gotten at the beginning of the year that you’d promptly forgotten about, only found a couple days ago when you packed your whole wardrobe away — and a pair of jeans.
The shirt seemed to swallow you though, since the university had just given out large sizes for everyone (maybe because they expected everyone was gonna be a giant football player for some reason), so you tied it up into a somewhat crop top just so you wouldn’t drown in the cheap cotton.
If you weren’t able to go home this week and switch out your clothes, you might find yourself dying in the heat when you went back for classes next week. At least then you’d have an excuse to tell your parents to buy clothes instead of school supplies.
As you went through your suitcase to see if there was anything you could wear in hotter weather (maybe something had just slipped in), your phone started ringing.
You only assumed it was your mom, asking what an update was on the situation with your car, and answered it without looking at the screen.
When “Hey, it’s Eijirou,” came out instead of Hi honey, you had to pause just to register what was going on.
“Hello?”
“Hi, Eijirou,” you finally answered, sitting down on your bed. “Sorry, I’m going through my suitcase.”
“Nah yer all good. I wanted to tell you I brought yer car to Sero’s already. He said the engine looks real old. He’s gonna try and fix it, but he said there’s no promises. I’ll call ya later in the evening once he’s finished.”
“Damn, that was fast.”
“Yeah, well there’s not exactly a lotta business ‘round here. Only luck we have is if someone’s drivin’ and their car breaks down — like what happened with you.” You heard him chuckle from the other end of the phone before it settled into silence for a second or so. “How’s Katsuki treating ya?”
The topic startled you. Was he reading your mind or what? And, what exactly were you supposed to say when you knew they were probably friends of some sort? Katsuki called him Ei.
“Um, fine?” you sounded like you were unsure, which wasn’t what you were going for since you were just confused as to where it came from.
“Lemme know if he’s being an asshole — I’ll whack him upside the head for ya. He doesn’t exactly have a lotta experience being open with others.”
WHERE IS ALL THIS COMING FROM??
“I’ll, uh — I’ll keep that in mind,” you responded just as unsure, which was then met with an awkward silence that he finally ended with an “I’ll call ya later about the car” and a goodbye.
You hung up the phone feeling more confused about what was going on with Katsuki than you’d started, and just decided to ignore all of it to head downstairs and tell him about the situation with your car — he did say to tell him what happened when you got the call from Eijirou.
No one was in the kitchen when you stepped out to the back porch, making sure to close the door behind you. It was the first time you’d seen the rest of the farm in its openness, and not through a window.
A vegetable garden was what first caught your eyes, sitting in a small fenced area just next to the porch with neat little rows and small wooden signs labeling each crop. A faded red barn sat just a couple hundred feet past that, with a couple of windows you could see horses through as you walked past a separate patch of strawberries.
You spotted one of the cabins that Katsuki had been talking about earlier towards the left of it all: a neat little wood cabin with a small, clean porch, a welcome mat, and a rocking chair out front.
You found Katsuki standing at the side of the barn with a hose and a bucket, washing a foal who looked like they’d rather do anything than be there at that moment.
He didn’t say anything when he noticed you’d approached him, evidenced by the double take he’d given your figure before he went back to brushing the wriggling horse to make sure the soap cleansed them thoroughly.
“Eijirou called about the car.”
He didn’t look up as he responded. “And?”
“He said that Sero said the engine looked pretty old, so it might not be able to get fixed. But he’ll call later in the evening to let me know for sure.”
You heard him hum before he doused the foal with hose water.
“I’m not really sure what to do now,” you continued, leaning against the wall. “If the car isn’t fixable does that mean I’m stuck? I don’t wanna ask my parents to come out all the way here just to get me.”
“I’ve gotta go to the farmers market in the city again tomorrow,” Katsuki grumbled as he towel-dried the foal (who snuggled into his warmth). “I can jus’ take ya with me.”
“Are you sure?” you pressed. “I don’t want to be a burden and–”
“Stop talkin’ shit,” he rolled his eyes as he scooped the foal up and walked back into the barn with you following. “M’already going there — S’not a burden if I’m already headed there anyways. Jus’ lemme know what happens later and we’ll see.”
“Thank you,” you sighed, watching him place the foal back into the stable with its mother, where it rushed straight to nurse from her. “What’s their name?” you turned to Katsuki.
“The foal? Her name’s Lavender.”
“That’s pretty,” you hummed.
“Thought it was fitting for a spring baby,” he shrugged, rearranging some of the tack equipment to their proper places on the opposing wall.
You walked over to another horse, a pretty brown mare who had her head sticking out of her stall, trying to gauge your attention.
“You named them?”
“Some of ‘em, yeah,” he gestured to the pretty girl who was now nuzzling your hand to encourage you to keep running your fingers across her face. “She’s Iris.”
“I used to love naming horses,” you gave your full attention to the creature in front of you, scratching the sides of her ears as she bent down. You could feel Katsuki’s stare from the back of your head.
“My grandparents had horses,” you continued. “They lived not too far from the town I live in, so we’d try and visit them in the summer. They used to let me name the summer babies when we visited — one of them was Baby. She was a baby horse so I only thought it was proper to name her Baby. I was three, I think,” you chuckled. “Another one was Strawberry — because I had an obsession with strawberries when I was six.”
When you looked back at Katsuki, he was leaning against the opposing wall, staring at you — more like observing you, actually; like you were some animal in your natural habitat on some nature documentary.
“The first horse I ever named was this black mare when I was ten,” he spoke, hands dug into his sides with his arms crossed over his chest. “Called her Cherry.”
“That sounds like a hooker’s name,” you raised an eyebrow, watching as the soft expression he wore turned into a playful sneer.
“Hah? As if Baby and Strawberry aren’t hooker names.”
“Well, I mean, they could be,” you rolled your eyes. “But I feel like they’re not as obvious as Cherry.”
“Whatever,” he bit back, pushing himself off the wall. “Still a better name than Baby.”
“I was three!”
“Whatever you say,” you heard him chuckle as he strode out, hands shoved into his pocket with a cocky stance. “Now are ya gonna help me, or are ya just gonna stand around and stare?”
“Help you with what, exactly?” It was your turn to cross your arms over your chest with an eyebrow raised. “I thought I was too weak to help.”
“This is different.”
“What is it?”
“Strawberries.”
“...Strawberries?”
He didn’t answer you as he charged straight out of the barn, his stupid cowboy boots leaving you in the dust as you were forced to follow behind him without an answer.
Katsuki led you past the vegetable garden you saw earlier to the small patch of strawberries you’d noticed, though you didn’t get what he meant by saying he needed “help” with them. Picking them?
The cabin you’d noticed earlier lay nearby as well, under the cool shade of the grove of trees outlining the main house — and you stood, watching as  Katsuki ran up the small steps of the porch to grab two baskets, before coming back to hand you one.
“That cabin’s yours?” you squinted in the sun, almost jealous that you weren’t wearing some bigass cowboy hat that would protect your eyes.
“Yeah,” he grunted. “Strawberries are mine too,” he gestured towards the small, fenced area. “I grew ‘em myself for the market.”
“Really? That’s so cool,” you followed him, stepping over the fence. “So you sell them for yourself then?”
“Yeah,” he shrugged. “The old man said he doesn’t really care what we do since we’ve already helped him for so long.”
“Do you just sell them as plain strawberries — or do you make stuff out of them?”
“Jus’ jam, usually,” he grunted, leaning down as he began picking the fruits off the bushes and tossing them into his basket. “Don’t really get enough time to do much else.”
You hummed, leaning down at another bush as you plucked off a couple strawberries and placed them into the basket held in the crook of your elbow. They were so vibrantly red, like the color of expensive lipstick your roommate liked to wear out to a bar (under the guise that it’d attract rich, hot dudes)  — like the color of Katsuki’s eyes, just as you’d noticed the night before.
You kind of wanted to eat all of them, though you weren’t sure that Katsuki would be happy about you gobbling down all of his strawberries. He’d probably tear you a new one. But, maybe a taste wouldn’t hurt.
You plucked a small one, as ripe and red as some of the larger ones you’d picked, just so it would be more discreet — a small smile creeping up when you saw that Katsuki was busy doing what he was doing; you were about to pop it into your mouth when you noticed a beetle making it’s journey through the leaves of the bush before it crawled into one of the branches and disappeared into the plant, and immediately decided against trying any of them before they were washed.
It wasn’t too long til your basket was filled to the brim, threatening to overflow from the way they were piled on top of each other; it was heavy enough that it required two hands to hold it.
Katsuki was just about finished too, finally standing up to his full height and wiping away the sweat that’d dripped down his forehead with the back of his forearm before his eyes settled on you. A small, sly smirk had made its way up to his lips, though you couldn’t understand why he was looking at you like that.
“What’s the look for?” you raised an eyebrow.
“You need both hands to hold the basket?” he snorted.
You wrinkled your nose as soon as you realized he was carrying his own with a single sturdy hand — almost making the stupid basket look as light as air, even though you knew how heavy it was since it was just as filled (if not more) as yours was.
“Well sorry Mr. I work on a farm and basically lift weights for a living, that I need two hands to hold the basket so I don’t fall on my ass,” you huffed, rolling your eyes when he let out his bark of a laugh.
“Jus’ gimme that,” he walked towards you, holding his other hand out.
“No. I can carry it on my own.” Even though my shoulders are killing me. But feminism!
“It looks like yer arms are about to pop off,” he took another step closer. “Give it.”
“Nope,” you answered, making sure to pop the p while rolling your feet back and forth between your toes and heels.
“Give me the basket, shitty woman.”
“You said I should be helping you,” you emphasized. “This is me helping you.”
“You can help me — by giving me the basket.”
“How is that helping you?”
“Ya can’t exactly do anything else if yer arms fall off,” he rolled his eyes, ignoring the offended look you gave him. “B’sides, I want ya to go grab the jars for me.”
His hand comes to grab the handle you’re gripping tightly, fingers accidentally brushing against yours as the smell of aftershave hits your nose, just as it had yesterday from how close you’re standing — it makes your stomach flutter from how warm and rough his hands are, just from that little glimpse you catch of him, and you almost drop the basket in the process.
“Wh-Where are they?” you don’t break the eye contact that’s connected you, his hand still over yours.
“M’house,” he rasps — and you swallow, thickly, letting the weight of the basket shift from your hands to his before he continues. “They’re on the counter.”
You nod slightly, finally breaking the heat of his stare and his fingers when you fully let go of the basket and turn to the small cabin, thankful for the cool shade of the trees when you step up the porch from how hot your face has become, like you’d gotten a sunburn.
The little welcome mat invites you in as you push open his front door; and though it feels strange walking into someone’s house like that, you don’t want to look back at Katsuki and give him the opportunity to notice your flushed face.
You settle on not being nosy as you make your way into his kitchen after wiping your shoes on the welcome mat, just taking note of his decor’s simplicity and the cleanliness of the small cabin. There was a cardboard box filled with jars sitting on the counter, just as he said there would be — which you grabbed easily before making your way outside.
Katsuki was still standing where he had been, feet rooted in the same position under the sun with flushed cheeks under his cowboy hat — an unreadable expression on his face before he turned and began trudging towards the house with you by his side. There was nothing besides the crunch of dirt underfoot and the birds you could hear from the trees. Your shoulders occasionally bumped due to your unfamiliarity with the uneven ground, but he never said anything — so you left it.
The kitchen was quiet too, when you both walked in, with only the sound of the fan whirring from the living room ceiling while you looked up to Katsuki, wondering what’d happened again.
Every time there was a moment between you, it disappeared to reveal Katsuki being harsher than he had been previously — and it was always in a matter of seconds. Sure, he hadn’t been welcoming when you met him, but he was still willing to stop at the side of the road to help a complete stranger; that could tell you enough about his character.
You watched from the kitchen table as he washed the strawberries in a large plastic bowl in the sink, rinsing them out a couple of times before he placed them between your seat at the table and the one next to you. As he turned away to get whatever else he needed, you stole a strawberry — popping it into your mouth, eyes widening from how good it was.
After plucking the stem off another, a firm hand stopped you from taking a bite out of it; and Katsuki gave you a sneer after stealing it and taking a bite while he sat in the seat next to you.
“Cut ‘em small,” he pushed a knife and a cutting board your way.
“What’re you doing then?” you raised your eyebrows, watching as he finished off the rest of the strawberry he’d stolen.
“Making sure ya do it correctly,” he leaned back in his chair.
“That’s not fair.”
“It is if yer a thief.”
“It was one.”
“I saw you take the first one,” he smirked, leaving you to roll your eyes before pulling the bowl closer and getting to work.
He hovered over you for the first five you did, commenting that you were cutting the strawberry cubes too big or too small (though you weren’t sure it mattered if they were ‘too’ small — didn’t you want it as small as possible for jam?). But when he finally approved of the size of the pieces, you built up a pace for yourself — slicing them long twice before cutting them three (or four, depending on the size of the strawberry) ways across — tossing them into a different bowl Katsuki’d provided when the cutting board became too full.
It didn’t take as long as you would have expected, your fingers stained red and ready to prune when you finished, before looking up to find Katsuki’s nodding head bobbing alongside you.
“Not too bad for a newbie,” he smirked, standing up and grabbing sugar.
After adding the amount he deemed necessary, he showed you how he got it ready to cook by mixing the sugar and strawberries with a spatula until the mixture was soupy and liquidy. He transferred it to a pot on the stove, still stirring it with the same spatula as he explained what to do.
“If it starts sticking, ya need to take it off and lower the heat,” was one of the pieces of advice he gave (the only one you retained)  — but all you could do was watch the top of his cowboy hat bob up and down from your spot on the countertop, kicking your legs slightly as you watched him go through the motions of making strawberry jam.
It continued on for twenty minutes, of him explaining small things that you weren’t really listening to as he continued to stir it; until you watched the foam bubble down to reveal a shiny jam, darker than the color of the original strawberries.
“Put the kettle on,” he ordered, and you kicked your legs out as you pushed yourself off the counter.
You wandered to the other side of the kitchen to do as he asked, watching as he turned the gas off and let the pot start cooling down while stirring.
“What’s the water for?”
“So the jars don’t break,” he looked up. “The glass shatters if the temperature difference is too high.”
He had you pour the water into the jars to warm them up before he came to the table and started filling them up with a ladle stolen from a kitchen drawer, handing them to you to seal and cap them.
The process was quiet and concentrated, as you both went through the motions of filling up each jar and sealing them, until you were finished and left with about thirty jars.
It was when you finished that you realized how close you were sitting next to each other, shoulders almost touching, your pinky fingers basically intertwined; you could practically feel the heat radiating off of him. And when you turned to look at him, you noticed how close your faces were to each other — how you you could practically feel his breath fanning your face when he did the same, how his eyes seemed to roam your face the same way yours were doing to his — and how it felt like you were getting closer; an invisible string was drawing you together, bringing you both closer and closer as you stared at his lips.
“Oh — jam?”
All it took was an instant for the both of you to break eye contact, turning to stare at the back door. Shoto had stepped in, completely disregarding the both of you as he walked forward and picked up a jar. You barely realized when Katsuki’s expression had turned into a sneer and he’d stood up from the table without missing a beat.
“Beat it half n’ half.”
“But, it’s lunch,” Shoto stared at him blankly.
And just like that, it was like nothing had happened. Again.
.
.
.
Lunch consisted of peanut butter and jam sandwiches (because Katsuki had argued that you couldn’t refer to his jam as jelly — even though they were basically the same thing), and earned you the nickname “strawberry shortcake” when you dropped jam on your shirt.
(“Didn’t ya say you were obsessed with strawberries?” Katsuki smirked when you asked him where it came from.)
Eijirou called after lunch to let you know that the car wasn’t able to be fixed and that Sero wanted to buy it so he could use some of the parts. The news wasn’t that surprising, since your parents had bought it second hand as soon as you got your driver's license when you turned sixteen and that you were now a rising senior in college; and after a quick phone call to your parents to let them know about the situation, they agreed the best thing to do would be selling it so you could buy a new car.
You didn’t even notice when the sun began hanging low in the sky — and the afternoon turned to evening.
It was during dinner that you realized that you probably wouldn’t get a chance to see anyone ever again. Even if you hadn’t spent time with Shoto or Izuku — it was easy to see how nice and welcoming they were. It led to the four of you (Katsuki tagged along too) laying outside beside a small campfire and drinking beer, trading stories as if you’d known each other your entire life.
It was fun to learn about their lives in a small town: how everyone had practically known each other by the time they were five and all the shenanigans they would get up to. They told you about their other friends, the ones who’d moved away for bigger opportunities in bigger cities — and you noticed the way Katsuki’s face seemed to fall when the topic was brought up, even though he hid it by sipping on his beer quietly.
Both Shoto and Izuku eventually waved their goodbyes when they got up to go to bed, in the case that they wouldn’t be able to see in the morning if they were too busy, leaving you and Katsuki to quietly sip beer by the flames in comfortable silence.
“It’s weird to think that I won’t see you again,” you murmured after a while. The couple of beers you drank seemed to loosen the restraint your mind was holding on your mouth, and you stared up at the sky after a moment when he didn’t answer. “I won’t get the chance to be here again.”
Katsuki hummed in response, watching as you began tracing out constellations with your finger, muttering the names to yourself in the exact stupid way Deku used to. But, he wasn’t annoyed when you did it.
“Can I ask you something?” you turned to him suddenly, watching as he put his beer down.
“Shoot.”
“Why was your mood changing all day?”
“What d’you mean?” he blinked.
“Like, it felt like we were close at times — but then you’d seem angry again,” you looked back up at the sky and sighed before trailing off. “I just, I thought…”
“I heard you yest’rday.”
You snapped back to where Katsuki was staring at the ground.
“No one’s compared my eyes to strawberries before,” he commented. “Usually it’s rubies n’ other shit.”
“You heard?”
“M’pretty sure everyone heard shortcake,” he chuckled. “You were fuckin’ yappin’ at the top of yer lungs.”
“I was not!” you huffed. You could feel your face burning up as you huffed and turned away.
It remained silent for another minute or two before Katsuki spoke again.
“Back in highschool, I was with someone,” he started. “And I thought we were gonna stay like that — that she was gonna go away for college and come back so we could get married. I proposed to her, and she said no and left.” He looked back up and you watched his Adam's apple bob as he swallowed thickly. “You– uh, I guess you reminded me of her a little.”
You could only blink in response to his confession, watching the light from the fire dance off his face as he stared almost wistfully off into the distance.
“I do think, that uh, yer…pretty, or whatever,” he coughed out. “But, it’s not permanent. Yer gonna go back tomorrow and eventually forget.”
It was silent again, the sound of the crackling fire remnant of his car’s old air conditioning.
“You don’t know that,” you finally spoke hesitantly, scooting across the log to where he was sitting.
He looked up at those words, his eyes scanning your face, your expressions, the way you’d placed yourself so easily next to him.
“And even if I don’t stay here, it’s not like there’s no way to contact you — or even see you again. You live a couple hours from me, and you come to farmer’s markets there,” you paused, gathering your thoughts before you looked back up at him and the soft look on his face. “Katsuki… whatever she did — I’m not her.”
Maybe the beer had a larger effect on you than you thought it did — you weren’t one to admit something like that as easily as you just did, but it was probably a combination of the hazy spell your mind was experiencing as well as the intoxicating atmosphere of the night. You could feel your heart jump in your chest as Katsuki just stared at you, his eyes flicking down ever so often until he moved himself closer to you, his hand hovering just above your cheek as you inhaled his scent once more.
“...may I kiss you?” he whispered.
You nodded slightly, shocked, before he’d pressed his lips up against yours in a sweet, chaste kiss. You could taste the beer on him as his hands rose and cupped your cheeks gently, his thumbs stroking the tops of your cheeks as yours tangled around his neck, playing with the back of his hair.
He took that as an invitation to pull you closer, pulling you up onto his lap with his arms wrapped around your waist and rubbing small strokes up the small of your back — melting into each other as sugar does into jam, slowly and gently and passionately through small touches and gazes.
When you finally pulled away for air, you could see the flush of his face as he stared up at the sky and panted, pulling you flush against his chest.
“Damn shortcake,” you heard the smirk in his voice — though it didn’t seem to be as cocky as you would’ve expected. “You know how to kiss.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” you murmured into his chest, feeling the rumble as he let out a short chuckle.
“Nothin’,” he pulled away for a second, and you noticed him grabbing something from his jean pocket.
In the light of the fire, he showed you his beaten leather wallet, with cracks and scratches — pulling out a fifty dollar bill that he then handed to you.
“What’s this for?” you sat up, your head leaning against his shoulder.
“S’the money you gave Ei,” he flipped it over, revealing a phone number on the other side, before looking away in embarrassment. “I was gonna give it to ya tomorrow when I dropped ya off — Ei suggested it.”
You couldn’t help but let out a giggle to the red that was rising on his face, becoming even more flushed than he had been when he kissed you.
“Thank you,” you smiled. “Now I can call you on your ancient phone.”
“Yeah, well, now I can teach ya how to make strawberry shortcake.”

Hey is it okay if you could write a fic where the reader uses the safe word for Albert Wesker, im curious on what you think about that. If not, then I hope you have a nice day!
hiiii anon! i'm not taking requests for full fics but i will definitely indulge you with a ficlet since i haven't written anything like this for re5 wesker yet! (also you're never a bother don't think you are <𝟑)
quick cw here; cnc (consensual nonconsensual), degradation, collaring + leashing, bdsm elements, dom/sub dynamic, dom!wesker sub!afab!reader, hurt/comfort aspects, reader is wearing a skirt
albert's been more brutal than ever, his grip on your hips so hard you fear they'll break. he's stressed- that much is apparent just from looking at him- furrowed brows, a fierce frown, and threateningly red eyes behind his shades.
that's why you're here, though. his cock is buried in you so deep you can feel it in your gut, the fat head nearly piercing your cervix with every single thrust he gives. his words are mean and normally, you'd like them, but today is weird for you, too. you're not yourself today and you'd hoped, that by putting on your collar and surrendering yourself to him like you do often, you'd feel better. you don't. if he can tell something is wrong, he doesn't say it. you have a safeword for a reason. your noises are quiet and muffled with your head being shoved into the couch cushions. the way he's filling you is heavenly, but you're not in the right headspace. it worsens when he tugs on your leash.
"umbrella!" the safeword you two agreed on leaves your lips in a sob, and you're a wreck. it's a hard stop, a means for you to get out of any scene that became too much and skip to aftercare.
the scene falls- he pulls out and takes your collar off, tucks himself in his pants, and straightens out your skirt before he even thinks about trying to move you into a different position.
"i'm here, darling. it's alright. i'm going to move you so you're on your back, alright?" he places his hand high on your back, between your shoulder blades to negate anything sexual about his touch. you nod weakly, quiet little sobs escaping you. he gets out from between your legs and flips you over so you're able to breathe easier and so he can soothe you better.
he's by your side within seconds, knelt beside the couch and fixing your shirt to cover your breasts. his other hand cups your face, giving you something to hold on to.
"shh, dove, it's going to be alright. i'm sorry, i didn't mean to hurt you." he takes your hand in his and presses a kiss to your knuckles. you shake your head lightly.
"not your fault. i just don't feel right today." you mumble, turning on your side to face him properly. he sighs, his eyes not as red anymore, and kisses your forehead.
"you should have told me earlier, sweet thing." his worry for you becomes visible as he removes his sunglasses and sets them aside. your tears are less severe now that he's comforting you, your body not shaking as much. you ache from his rough treatment, however.
"i know. i'm sorry." he strokes your hair, a small "tsk" leaving him.
"it's just fine. come, let's get you cleaned up." he picks you up bridal-style with ease, your head resting against his shoulder as he carries you to the bathroom. standing would be a lot for you right now and he knows that, so he sets you down on the bathroom counter with a kiss to your temple and runs you a bath.
you're as still as a doll as he undresses you, kissing every inch of you to further reassure you of his love. he's sweeter than usual for the rest of the night- practically coddling you- because he knows you need it like he needs you.

hi! saw your post from yesterday and im fairly new to ur blog :) can i ask for headcanons for kung lao and liu kang with a gender neutral reader who gets a lot of bug bites?? like in the summer they get bit a lot and it annoys them
HC Kung Lao and Liu Kang with a gn s/o who keeps getting bug bites.
0o0o0o0o0o0o0o
HI! I wasn't expecting someone to ask me that quickly. I'm farely new to writing headcanons so I tried my best and I hope you enjoy it as much as I had fun writing it.
Tumblr media
Kung Lao
This man would find your "suffering" entertaining.
Like you two would be training together and suddenly the urge to scratch your bug bites would distract you enough to stop the fight and he'd be there watching you curse summer and all the bugs on Earthrealm with a grin.
Bug doesn’t seem to bite him and it annoys you.
Amazed by how many bug bites you get
"(Y/N), the bug charmer"
Enjoy hearing your creative swearing as you discover new bites.
It gets to a point where you discover bites in odd places like in the palm of your hand or in between your toes. He tries his best not to laugh as you complain about them.
Eventually, Kung Lao would take pity on you, seeing how much it bothers you and would try to find ways to help.
Kung Lao  asked around the temple for anything that could help with (y/n)'s bug problems. It took some time, even after asking Liu and Lord Raiden, before finding someone that could help. A small bottle of diluted citronella oil in hand, he thanked the monk before making his way back to (y/n). He finds them sitting on the training ground currently trying to fight off the bugs that surrounded them.  “Here, this should help.” Taking a seat next to them, he pries open the bottle and poured a small amount in the palm of his hand.  “ I think my last option is to ask Grandmaster Liang if I could live at his temple during summer. At least bugs would leave me alone.” Rubbing the oil on the several bites covering their body, Kung Lao tries to hide his grin.  “ And leave me here all alone for months?” Satisfied with his job, Kung Lao closed the bottle, pocketing it in case they would need it again. His grin never left his face as he looked at them. (Y/n) seemed to be weighing the options in their head. Signing as if they made the most difficult decision in their life (y/n) stood up and stretched.
“Oh the sacrifices I make for you.”
Kung Lao couldn’t help but laugh as he took  (y/n) extended hands.
Tumblr media
Liu Kang
Similar to Kung Lao, this boy doesn’t get bug bites.
Although, he is more sympathetic toward you whenever you get new bites or complain about the itch.
Would start to worry if the bites become more apparent on your skin.
Liu Kang is curious to know why, despite the both of you being outside together, the bugs only bite you
Even though he himself doesn’t get bitten , he knows you shouldn’t scratch them. And so, he tries to keep your mind off the bites by training with you.
Secretly finds it entertaining as long as it doesn’t get worse.
Asks around the temple for any advice on how to appease your itch
It  was a warm day at the temple. Liu Kang and (y/n) were meditating, hiding in the shade to avoid getting sunburn. The meditation was going smoothly until Liu Kang's concentration was broken by a loud smack. Opening his eyes, he turned toward (y/n), who was trying their best not to scratch the newest bite. Liu Kang could see how annoyed they were and, with a soft smile, decided to help with their discomfort.  “Wait here.” The chosen one left his partner for a short while, knowing full well that they would take this opportunity to scratch the bite. He came back soon after with a small bowl filled with cold water and a towel in hand.  “I heard cold water help ease the itching sensation.” Wetting the towel, Liu Kang gently wrapped it around the bite and watched as they smiled in relief. “ Thanks, it does help a bit.”  Too distracted now to continue their meditation Liu Kang and (y/n) spent the rest of the time enjoying the warmth of the day sitting in the shade. Whenever the itching sensation got too intense again, (y/n) would simply remove the towel and wet it again. If the water in the bowl became lukewarm, Liu Kang would stand up and change it for cold water. When other bites started to show up, Liu Kang searched for ways to repel the bugs. One of the monks, who overheard him talk about the problem to Kung Lao, offered him straws of lavender. Thanking the monk, Liu Kang left his friend to find his partner. (Y/n) was scratching at one of the bites when he arrived. The smell of lavender slowly filled the air around them.  “I told you not to scratch yourself while I'm gone.” Placing the flowers in between them, Liu Kang took hold of (y/n) hands in order to prevent them from worsening the bite.  “In my defence, you were back when I started to.” Smiling, Liu Kang kept holding their hands as the two of them continued their conversation.  Despite how annoying it was to get bug bites all summer long, (y/n) enjoyed the care Liu Kang gave them.

modern au scaramouche under anesthesia
Tumblr media
“Wow, you’re… you’re gorgeous,” he breathes out, eyes wide and earnest, almost slurring the words together.
You stifle the laugh that threatens to come out, pursing your lips together and trying your best to smile indulgently at your boyfriend who is currently high from too much anesthesia.
Childe doesn’t bother hiding his cackles as he takes out his phone to film the scene before him. “He’s gonna be so mortified later.”
You elbow him hard in the ribs. Reaching out to hold Scaramouche’s hand, you forcibly take on a more neutral tone, “Thank you.”
His cheeks turn red at the physical contact, eyes shifting between you and your joined hands like he couldn’t quite believe what he was seeing. He visibly gulps, cheeks turning a deeper shade of red as he seems to prepare himself for something.
With dazed eyes, he places your hand over his chest and says with all the seriousness of someone about to go to war, “Are you single?”
You kick Childe hard enough to send him toppling down the floor when he started choking on his own spit. Turning back to your boyfriend who just asked you if you were single, you answer him honestly, “No, I have a boyfriend.”
His face falls like you just told him he was dying from a terminal illness. Your lips twitch up in amusement.
You thought that would be it, but you’re immediately alarmed when tears start gathering in his eyes.
Your hands find purchase in his cheeks, tilting his head up to meet your worried eyes. “Scara? What’s wrong?”
He sniffles, eyes looking downcast. “I’d be s’much better than your ugly boyfriend. I bet he’s a douchebag an’ treats you like shit.”
In an instant, all your concerns are wiped away and replaced by amusement.
“Oh my god, Signora is gonna love this.”
“Shut up, Childe,” you hiss at him in a low tone before turning to your teary-eyed boyfriend. “Well, he is a douchebag, but he treats me like royalty even though he struggles to put actions into words.”
The smug smile that had formed when you agreed that your boyfriend was a douchebag quickly turns into a frown after you mentioned how well he treated you. You giggle at the familiar expression.
“He’s a shitty guy, so jus’ break up with ‘im and be with me,” he tells you petulantly.
“Ah, I can’t do that. You see, I really love him and I’d be really sad if we broke up.”
He pouts, and you take a moment to really take in the never before seen sight of Scaramouche pouting—Scaramouche! Pouting!—your mind still can’t quite process it. Childe better send you that video later.
“I’d still treat you better,” he murmurs.
“But how can you treat me better when you already treat me so well?”
His brows furrow. “Huh?”
This time, you finally let out the laugh that you’ve been holding back the entire time. “Scara, you’re my boyfriend.”
It takes him a few seconds to process your words, but when it finally dawns on him, his face lights up with the brightest grin you’ve ever seen on him. “I… I’m really your boyfriend?”
“Yes.” You could almost describe his expression as excited after you said it.
“Oh… Oh, wow. I really hit the jackpot,” he says like he hadn’t just been insulting himself a minute ago. He looks up at you with dazed, disbelieving eyes. “You’re so… you’re s’beautiful. ‘m I really your boyfriend?”
“Yes, you are.” To further prove your words, you lean in and place a chaste kiss on his cheek. Red creeps up from his neck up to the tips of his ears.
He grins, as dopey and sappy as he probably feels right now. “I really… I really love you.”
You pinch his cheeks, just because you can finally do so without him getting all huffy at you for doing such a ‘childish’ thing. “Say that to me when you’re finally capable of thinking rationally.”
-
The next day, Scaramouche throws a chair at Childe after you show him the footage of him being high on anesthesia.
And later that night when he thinks you’re asleep, he murmurs those three words to you as he holds you close to his chest.

realisation
character: chifuyu
content: fluff, gn reader
synopsis: chifuyu has always had a crush on you but a sudden realisation dawns on him when he sees you sitting on the couch in his best friend baji’s house
wc: 774
i find this really messy but let me know what yall think <3 i apologise for any mistakes and i hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
Chifuyu’s after school routine is always the same. meet up with baji at the school gate, walk home together and occasionally, hang out at baji’s place till night. But today was different, instead of walking into an empty living room, there was someone sitting on the couch in front of the tv, someone he did not recognise in the baji household.
“Oh? You’re home early” baji directs it to the figure sitting on the couch. Said person turns behind to face baji with a disinterested expression.
Chifuyu freezes on the spot. He’d seen that angelic face before, passing by his class whenever he was daydreaming in class, and how he purposely walks the longer route to his class just so he could admire their beauty as they looked out their classroom window into the grassy land. No doubt, it was you, his crush, sitting on baji’s couch. His heart sank, of course you’d be taken by such a badass that is baji keisuke. Chifuyu believed that he didn’t even stand a chance, not when it was against baji, the coolest guy he’s ever known.
“I didnt even go to school today dumbass, im sick” you explained, expression growing more annoyed at the black haired male. Baji walks towards you, reaching a hand out to your forehead. Chifuyu couldn’t bear watching anymore, he couldn’t take seeing the one he secretly pins for being showered with care and love from another man. But, just as chifuyu was about to divert his gaze to the ground, baji flicks your forehead instead of feeling it, causing you to hiss in pain.
“What the fuck was that for, asshole?!” you seethed at baji, one hand slapping him in the arm and the other coming up to soothe your forehead.
“For calling me a dumbass” baji states plainly. It didn’t take long for the both of you to start bickering while chifuyu stood a distance from the both of you, dumbfounded. Was he… in the middle of some lovers’ quarrel? But yet, it didn’t feel like it, actually, now that he got a better look, the both of you look somewhat similar..
before he could place a finger on it, he was soon snapped out of his thoughts, “Could the both of you stop bickering for once? We have a guest over!”
you and baji snapped your heads to the source of the voice,
“Sorry mom..” the both of you said, glaring at each other in the process.
That’s when a lightbulb lit in chifuyu’s head, you and baji are siblings. He sighed a breath of relief, maybe he does have a chance with you.
“Let’s go chifuyu.” baji’s voice brought chifuyu back to reality as he hurriedly followed baji into his room, sneaking a glance at you in the process.
The atmosphere in baji’s room was silent between both boys, neither knowing what to say after the incident.
“Don’t bother going for y/n.” baji said out of the blue, catching chifuyu off guard as he stuttered and scrambled, trying to think of a proper response.
“I can tell you like them chifuyu, you’ve been staring at them ever since we stepped into the house.” chifuyu shuts his mouth, face turning a light shade of pink.
“they’re mean, rude, and annoying. you’ll never survive with them constantly nagging by your side.” baji sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose, almost as if he was relieving said experience again. The blonde male nodded and promised his friend that he’ll give up on pursuing his sister from then on.
Soon, night falls and chifuyu was about to head out the front door when he was stopped by a soft voice calling out to him from behind. Chifuyu blushes, instantly recognising who it was.
“I’m sorry you had to listen to mine and keisuke’s bickering.. Here, take these as a form of apology from me and keisuke.” the flustered boy turns and reaches for the gift, which was a bag filled with snacks and cat treats.
“Oh! Keisuke told me all about peke j, hope he likes the treats too.” you said sheepishly, giving chifuyu a smile, to which he feels like he’s gonna start melting from how adorable you look.
“T-thanks! I’m sure he’ll like them too!” the poor boy stuttered, free hand coming up to scratch the back of his head.
You giggled, nodding at him, “have a safe trip back home!”
You wave as he steps out of your house, waving back at you. Once the door closes, chifuyu clutches his shirt, heart beating quickly as his face felt warm. Maybe… he could afford breaking that promise to baji.
