rewatching the first episode of a court of fey and flowers and it’s so funny to me how everyone talks about how ruehob was just like a flip that got switched in episode 2, meanwhile in the first episode oscar is mostly silent for all of the PC intros except Hob’s in which he asks many many questions such as

“how tall are you? how tall is the average goblin? so you’re very above average? 😳 are there any other goblins this tall? have you always been this tall? or did you get a growth spurt?😏” like the chemistry is IMMEDIATE oscar KNEW he wanted to fuck that bugbear

Anyone else arbitrarily think about the first time the YW saw Crow holding the Ace of Spades?

Like, they wanted to try out a new hand canon for once, just to try out these new perks everyone has been talking about. So they leave Ace in their apartment.

They come home after the mission only to see Crow holding it, clearly lost in thought and the reaction they have is visceral.

Flashbacks to Uldren in the Prison of Elders. That smirk when he brandished Ace before leaving. Every emotion they had in that moment when they realized Cayde was dying and his killer had evaded them.

They snatch the gun away only for Crow to look at them: rattled to his core, terrified of the look in their eyes until they come back to their senses and he flinches away.

And the only coherent sentence he can manage is: "I was only trying to help."

Okay, I saw this thing earlier and I found it really fucking funny I'm fully adopting it as a head-cannon.

So, it was a gacha video of Optimus being a gremlin for almost a minute while making morning coffee. The headcannon that spawned in my head is that when Optimus first wakes up in the morning, he's an absolute gremlin until he's fully awake. With humanformers au's, this also applies with him before he's had his morning coffee.

But like, I find it really funny that this leader dad figure who's very well known for being calm and responsible, has this chaos gremlin inside that almost no one sees or are aware of because he's usually up before everyone else. A few exceptions to those who do know are Ratchet and Bee.

Why them? Well, Ratchet and Optimus have known each other for literal centuries at this point and there's definitely been more than one occasion Ratchet has been up before Optimus and has witnessed and dealt with the gremlin. Bee because Optimus 100% treats him like a son and there's definitely been times where Bee went to Op with nightmares and did the little kid thing of sleeping in the same room as their parents; and Bee--who I think is a light sleeper--has been woken up and witnessed Optimus' gremlinhood as well.

He can also slip into being a gremlin if he's really tired. Or just tired in general. Gremlinhood is his natural state of being. He's still the same Optimus when awake, he's just actively keeping the gremlin bits hidden because war and also most people consider the behaviour weird. Not really Ratchet and Bee but like, he doesn't know that. Not well, at least.

Have either of them said anything to anyone? Nope. They don't think the others would believe them if they said anything about Optimus' gremlin side. It's reasonable to keep it to themselves. Also because Optimus has asked them to keep quiet about it as he's kinda embarrassed about the others finding out.
