AO3 Tag Game!
Tagged by @mvshortcut :) I'm gonna stick with just this fandom/this account for this one to make it less confusing
How many works do you have on AO3?
44. (Including snippet collections.) For this fandom/account. Far more if you count bi-demon-ium or my old account or my older account or
What’s your total AO3 word count?
Okay this one it won't let me separate by pseud or fandom so you're just gonna have to live with being lumped in with all my MBS and a few other misc fics at "653,461". Didn't get the other accounts though. Man, I'm a mess
How many fandoms have you written for, and what are they?
Okay, well, this one by nature is also not solely for this fandom,
(number in parentheses is number of ao3 works posted)
Ted Lasso (obviously) (44) (including snippet collections)
The Mysterious Benedict Society (116) (also including snippet collections)
Instinct (2) (one is a small snippet collection--)
House MD (1)
Death by Dying (1)
Gravity Falls, technically, but it was one crossover (1)
ditto with The Legend of Zelda (1)
King Falls AM (1)
The House in the Cerulean Sea (6)
Shadowhunters (??? at least 36) (some now hidden/lost)
Professor Layton (1)
The Librarians (2)
The Sandman (1)
The Mentalist (2)
Star Trek (AOS) (1)
Sanders Sides (at least 1)
Miraculous Ladybug (1)
Rosewell: New Mexico (2)
The Dresden Files (1)
That's stuff posted to ao3/finished. There's also, technically,
for stuff I published when I was twelve and I now refuse to acknowledge (not all bc of the fandom but bc the fic was Bad):
Doctor Who
Supernatural
Sherlock
Psych
Castle
Welcome to Night Vale
Avengers
A Series of Unfortunate Events
And then stuff I've written for but never finished:
Warehouse 13
Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (2016)
Dirk Gently (2010)
SurrealEstate
Zoo (podcast)
Once Upon a Time
Scooby Doo
Person of Interest
The Goes Wrong Show
Spy Kids (???)
Ace Attorney
The Adventure Zone
Criminal Minds
Star Trek (TOS, TNG, and DS9)
Haven
MacGyver
Trollhunters
exactly one (1) joke The Magnus Archives fic
Percy Jackson and the Olympians + The Kane Chronicles + Tales of Apollo
Leverage
Pushing Daisies
The Sarah Jane Adventures
Megamind
Bones
Avatar: the Last Airbender
Lucifer
Some of these are deeply questionable and/or only have like two (2) wips or even posted works at most, but I'm thorough. Also, I will write about almost anything bc my brain loves to process things like this. I may have even missed something
Top five fics by kudos:
Ted Lasso Kisses Trent Crimm On The Mouth (1125)
semaphore (977)
off the handle (719)
linger (699) (nice)
a preacher, a bikini, and a kiss or two (641)
Do you respond to comments?
I really try to, but then I get all in my head about it and/or am really really tired and put it off so long it then feels like it would be weird to respond because it's been forever. However, if there's a direct question or something I want to address/respond to, as in, I have something particularly unique to say or a question to answer, then I'll usually respond really fast
What’s the fic with the angstiest ending you’ve ever written?
Honestly, I'm not a huge unhappy ending person, a lot of the time I'll have a first chapter I was initially going to end really angsty (see ink sunset and make a mess of you) and then added more to fix it at least somewhat. As is... maybe the somewhat unresolved emotional tension (for Ted and Trent, at least, Roy's doing great) in something to get off my chest, the +1 for betrayal's sting / absolution's balm? I have some worse ones in an old fandom on an old account but. meh.
Do you write crossovers?
Not often, but I rotate them in my brain. Honestly, though, I'm more inclined to write a fusion than a crossover proper. And even so, I tend to just be thinking about it rather than actually writing it. I've only written one crossover in recent memory (recently, that is) and it was mostly a joke about a shared actress made into actual angst.
Have you ever gotten hate on a fic?
Yeah lmao
Do you write smut?
😏 sure do
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
👁️👁️ not in this fandom
Have you ever had a fic translated?
yes!! also not in this fandom
What’s your all-time favorite ship?
In this fandom? Trent/Ted. overall? no idea, because recency bias, my all-time favorite is whatever I'm into right now, which isn't really objective but hyperfixationitis.
What’s a WIP that you want to finish, but don’t think you ever will?
:( so many. AND there are a lot of posted fics I want to write a sequel/companion piece for and idk if I'll ever get the energy...
I guess off the top of my head, for this fandom, I'd go with lost sight of (who you are) (motivation died because it's old enough no one knows it exists anymore lkfgjh) and ink sunset (I WANNA FINISH IT I DO I DO I DO)
What are your writing strengths?
I think I can write a really funny string of dialogue, and I'm also fond of fun metaphors, both in the elegant poetic way and in the more Douglas Adams/Terry Pratchett way (which is to say, still potentially elegant but also comedic as hell)
What are your writing weaknesses?
Motivating myself to write anything; being overly self-indulgent
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fics?
I'm extremely bad at linguistics in general, so if I must include someone talking in another language in my fic, I think I'd tend to cheat and do italics or some other indication that this is 'in another language' (ie "Where are you going?" she asked in Russian), but that's admittedly a lazy approach. But I also think it's probably better than butchering it with an auto-translator? Also, when people just include the translation in the end notes, even with a link (although that makes it marginally better) it breaks the flow of the story and makes it hard to read. Making an effort to at least match grammar is good (which I would do if it was for longer than a single scene, probably) but I think the best solution is when people know what they're doing and like, have an actual translation with a little html code so you can click on it and it reveals what it means? Or if you're clever, revealing what it means using context around it, but that has its own limitations. So that both like, uses the actual language and doesn't break up the flow. It balances accessibility, flow, and respect for the other language in question well. But you've got to both know what you're doing with the language (either asking someone/hiring someone/knowing the language yourself) and the html (although there are guides for that you'd have to spend time figuring it out + know it exists in the first place to look). And this is fanfiction, something we ultimately do for free in our spare time, so the lazy approach, I think, can be understandable. Maybe not in every context, but it's not worth stressing a lot over in a few random lines or anything, you know? It is really cool when people do know a language well enough to include it properly in a fic, though, it can say a lot about a character or dynamic; and their background(s) and like. it's neat :)
What was the first fandom you ever wrote for?
Ever? Doctor Who. In a shitty little notebook in middle school. Then there was some Star Trek (both TNG and TOS) and Avatar: the Last Airbender and Marvel and such, and then Supernatural (my first smut? extremely terrible Destiel smut. rip) and I think the first thing I ever posted was Welcome to Night Vale? Not sure.
What’s your favorite fic you’ve written so far?
Oh, man. I have no idea. Here's a few favorites from this fandom:
matters of the heart
trick & treat
vita nova
melt like this
"second impressions"
"reveal"
probably those time travel snippets, just in general

😏 ......not for this fandom. That I'd post anyway
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
👁️👁️ not. Directly in this fandom
Have you ever had a fic translated?
yes!! also not in this fandom
What’s your all-time favorite ship?
In this fandom? Nicholas/Milligan. Overall, ever? Recency bias/hyperfixationitis says whatever I'm into the most at the moment. But generally for MBS I prefer gen (although I've written a lot of Nicholas/Milligan, that's partially because it's blissfully easier to find gen already)
What’s a WIP that you want to finish, but don’t think you ever will?
:(
SO many
Particularly minotaur, the dearly departed, and the "paralyzed" series. Oh and the hanahaki AU
What are your writing strengths?

NIGHT VALE SHITPOST TIME!!!!!
GOOGLE TRANSLATED WTNV EPISODE!!!
I put the transcript of the first episode of Welcome to Night Vale to google translate and translated it to 16 random languages and back to English, the result is under the cut
As we pass by we see magnificent scenery in the valley, sun, beautiful moon and mysterious sleeping light. Welcome to the valley of the night.
Hello listeners. First of all, I want you to read this short article. City Hall has announced the opening of a new dog park at Earl and Somerset streets near Ralph. Please note that dogs are not allowed in the dog park. There is no one in the zoo. You can see a picture of him wearing a t-shirt instead of a cat. Do not approach them. Don’t go to the dog park. Hedging is optional and risky. There are no swarms of dogs, especially in the second enclosed room. A dog park won’t hurt you.
And now it’s popular. An angel appeared to old Josie near the park. It is said to be 10 feet long and shiny, one black. He said it would help the family. One had changed the lights, the other is standing on the porch. He offers an old light bulb with an angel (a dark angel, if that makes sense) for sale. Contact Lazken Jozi if interested. Located close to parking.
Today there are new people in town. WHO? Why is your hair so perfect and beautiful? What do you want from us? Why did you choose a shirt? He called himself a scientist. In fact, everyone has learned this at some point in their lives. ok now what? why are you here So what does he do with lights and lights in a rented lab and Big Rico pizza? Nobody does fries like Big Rico. It’s not like that.
A little reminder to all parents. Talk about safety when you take your kids outside to play in the sun. You need to drink plenty of water, make sure there are trees in the shade, and pay attention to the color of the helicopter.
Masked helicopter flying in the dark? Maybe the World Cup was not the place for the day. Black is the sheriff's undercover cop who keeps your kids safe and rarely picks them up. Or beautiful paintings of birds of prey? No one knows what these helicopters are or why they are needed.
Don’t give up. Go back to your house and lock the door so the secret police can put a stick on your front door as a sign of distress. Deafening sounds. Remember: Gatorade is a must, give your kids water and maybe an orange while they play.
However, the disappearance of a commercial airliner from the air today during a football drill in the Knights Vale Primary School gym, makes the drill much more dangerous. The plane re-entered the small apartment complex and disappeared completely, this time not touching any toys or buildings.
How this will affect the software is still unknown. Whether it is a mountain lion depends on competitors like the desert lion. Desert Bluffs tries to show us nice clothes before the scavenger hunt begins, and we hit the gym and stop working out for a few minutes. Cheating in the desert is very bad. Shame on you.
New scientist Carlos is summoned to a meeting in the town. It had jaws and teeth square like a war corpse. We are perfect hair and we both hate and love imperfect hair. Josie's grandmother made a delicious soup. The angel said that he had bought his life to serve God, and he could no longer buy it.
… Carlos told us that we were a very interesting company in the United States and that I was here to find out what was going on. She smiled and everything was perfect and he loved her. A government agent returns to the ministry from a secret but dangerous ceremony. I'm afraid of Charles. I am afraid of the desert at night. Human fear is deficient in what it knows, but does not know, but does not know;
We have news this morning. The Knights Vale Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the restoration of the Knights Valley Waterfront fence and marina. I recently stayed in their guest house and I can say it is very good and upscale. The dock is designed with environmentally friendly materials after long use. Many pedestrianized streets are ready to be
transformed into public markets filled with local vendors and vendors.
Some people are now afraid that the sea is not real because we are in the middle. This is incorrect, and I agree with that. For example, nowadays you see grass and rocks on the road. The consortium didn’t give me a definitive answer to this question, but said the new station would greatly improve Night Valley. Maybe wait until it's all over and try to head to the crowded beach.
Local NRA chapters are selling flyers as part of the fundraising week. They sent someone to camp to remind us, and we’re here to help the community, so I want to tell you everything. The sticker, made from durable vinyl, reads: “Guns don’t kill, guns don’t kill. We're not all indexed, which is a miracle." She stands at the front door and shouts "NRA" to interview someone.
Carlos and his research team discovered that one of the homes behind the new Desert Creek Elementary School building was indeed missing. "South," Carlos glossed with his hair. "When you look at it, it's still there, and it's between those two houses, so it feels like it's not there."
However, they said some tests needed to be done and he was not home. At a press conference, investigators gathered on the sidewalk in front of an empty house. Stand up and knock each other's courage.
A public protest was held at the Bali post office yesterday. The postman said he did not recognize it, but a passerby described the sound as "soulful black magic."
Indian Tracker - I don't know if you've seen this guy. The man appears to be of Slavic origin, but wears an Indian pantomime badge and claims to be able to read street signs. He introduced himself and promised to find the truth. No one can answer why it's hard to take Cnm seriously.
You can see the lights in the sky above Arby. This is not an Arby's brand. Something deep and far away. We know the difference. We got into their game. We know Team Arbi is at the top. Citizens of another country. The future of women and men has arrived. It's about 100 feet above Arby's.
Carlos and his researchers at the monitoring station off Highway 800 say their seismography shows strong shaking, meaning the ground must have moved with each drop. I don't know about you, but the Earth is still like a ball of ice floating in an endless storm.
Carlos said both screens have been tested and are in good condition. And there seems to be a terrible earthquake no one has ever heard of in Nightvale. Then you apply for insurance. Check out what we have here.
Aeneas tempor, mi a ultricies. Police are now warning of so-called road ghosts - vehicles that appear from afar and move at unexpected speeds, causing people to lose track of where they are going. We would like to remind you that you should not base your speed on this data base and should not take it into account when adjusting traffic flow.
However, a more precise skylight speed regulation is recommended, as all the facilities or companies responsible for emissions seem to be paying attention and listening to the drivers.
The time is now.
Welcome to the audience.
Carlos and his research team reported an unusual sunset today. I'm pretty sure it was ten minutes after several hours of watching. I asked if they had an account and of course they didn’t. Most of them are sitting opposite each other on the field complaining and hugging each other 24 hours a day.
But we have a full day to be thankful for. It's easy to forget it's so hot in the desert, but without the sun it's hard for us. It’s a time after sunrise, anytime of the day, when warmth, light, and yes, plenty of warmth is felt in our fragmented society.
The whole city wants to be reminded about heaven and the angelic kingdom. The caveat is that you don't need to know anything about it. The position of the heavens and the chart order of the angels are the right of the government to know, and should only be known to the members of the government when necessary.
Do not talk to or thank the angels you encounter while shopping at Ralph's or Desert Flower Bowling Alley. They just lie, they don’t lie. All the angels gathered around the town hall for the memorial service.
Now a short announcement. It’s called the Korma. Could they kill your child? So.
That said, he's long believed that the best way to die is to be eaten by a giant snake. The first leg and every leg is a sticky stick that makes your life more consistent.
When he arrived at Desert Flowers Bowling and Arcade, owner Teddy Williams said Bowling Refer No. He said he found the entrance to the underground city at 1.5 a.m. He says he hasn't made it yet, just look at the amazing castle and the wide streets. It also echoes the sounds of a distant underground city.
When the bullets suddenly strike, the door seems to be found, and it crashes into the city and into a large cave. So you know they live in town, now they know about us and we will hear from them soon.
Carlos, in fine and handsome body, visited our students last chapter, but declined to be interviewed. He carried several transparent boxes filled with wires and tubes. He said he would try these. I don't know what it means, but this box whistled and rattled. When he has the microphone close, the bird seems to wake up.
He was really angry. I could see Carlos panicking. I’ve never seen such a tight knee. Then he ran away. We are told to leave the building, but who is here to talk to you?
Get ready for another great night at Goodbye. I hope everyone slept with someone or made good memories. Hello listeners. Good day.

Life Goes On
El stopped Vecna. For now. But she didn't stop the agents or the government. Now Hawkins in surrounded on all sides. No one goes in, and absolutely no one goes out. Except for one agent. Who has come to Hawkins undercover to investigate but this town might be more than she bargained for.
Read on AO3
consider this a primer. I just wanted to show little snapshots before getting into the real thing, which will be a separate fic. This was honestly inspired by me re-listening to old Night Vale episodes in honor of spooky month so this universe will essentially be Hawkins slowly turning into a town similar to that.
Eventual steddie, ronance, and maybe even jargyle (in the main fic)
Mike made a face of disgust while Lucas covered his nose. Erica was just looking on with wide eyes as the mass of dead pigeons within the circle made of blood.
With a groan, Mike took out a match just before Erica took a picture with her camera.
"That is the tenth demon summoning this week holy shit", Lucas said.
"Does this one even count though?", Erica's nose scrunched. "They just used a bunch of pigeons."
Mike lit the match and set the dead birds on fire. "Either way, we gotta tell the others and get the word out."
"My question is why", Lucas went from pinching his nose to fanning the rancid smoke away. "Why the hell would people think the devil is gonna help them now?"
Mike just shrugged but as always, Erica had an idea. "Maybe they think if they become devil worshippers, they'll get mercy."
But the three of them knew very well that nothing that was happening was the work of Satan. While the evil had many names, it didn't come from Hell. It was much colder.
-------------------
Many citizens of Hawkins turned their radios on that evening to one of the few stations still available. The voice of a teenager came on.
"Wassup Hawkins! Iiiiit's Gareth!"
"And Robin!"
"Coming to you live from my mother's basement!"
"That's a lie, we're actually in his father's basement."
"Yeah, you know the story, mom skips out, raised by single dad, live forever in single dad's basement. Anyway, let's get right to it, shall we Bucks?"
"We shall because it seems that people STILL think that sacrificing animals on top of a pentagram will grant them perdition."
"This is your daily reminder to NOT DO THAT", Gareth said.
"Dead animals will only attract the kind of demon you don't want. Plus, come on, pigeons?"
"If you're gonna worship a devil, get him something nice. The Hawkins petting zoo still has a couple of good goats."
"And in the absence of goats, sacrifice your least favorite child", Robin teased. "Coming up next, How to Avoid Being Ritually Sacrificed by Your Parents."
"If my named rhymed with Bike, Mucus, or Breve, I'd listen in for the next report. But before that, shake your devil worshipping ass to the newest by my band, Corroded Coffin."
A single guitar lick was heard before the radio was shut off.
"Hey! Don't turn off a hit!", Eddie protested.
"I need to focus. And don't you have something to do?"
Eddie's first instinct was to turn to Steve and so he did the complete opposite and instead turned to face the wall, looking just as aimless as Dustin expected him to be.
"Let me give you a hint, it starts with 'camp' and ends in 'aign'", Dustin helped.
"Right, yeah, that."
"'Right, yeah, that'", Dustin mocked. "You'd think it'd be important to you, now more than ever."
Steve and Eddie shared a look, fortunately, Dustin was too engrossed in his typing to see it. The barricades and guards went all around the town, and they were probably monitoring all phone calls, but there was still Suzie.
"The campaign is important, but I'm hungry now", Eddie said, turning towards the door. "Harrington?"
Steve got up from the couch and was about to follow Eddie out of the Henderson home when Dustin spoke up.
"You sure he doesn't have vampiric compulsion? You sure do what he says a lot lately."
Steve watched as Eddie opened up an umbrella before going outside. "Not a lot of room for conflict in Hawkins these days."
--------------------------
"Oh you're the new guy, huh? Welcome. I'm Argyle. I was once a new guy like yourself. But in the time I've lived here in Hawkins, Indiana, I've learned a lot about myself and the world."
"How many years have you been living here?"
"Years?"
"Don't forget to give them their kit, Argyle", Nancy said, walking by them with a clipboard but barely giving a glance otherwise.
"Right. So here's your newcomer kit."
Meredith, a new resident, opens up the box. There were matches, a lighter, a gun, a blank cassette tape, a pamphlet titled "Beginner's Guide to Dungeons and Dragons", and another pamphlet with depictions of different types of monsters.
"People need all this to live in Hawkins?", Meredith asked.
"They sure do", Argyle answered.
"So you give out guns and lighters to everyone who moves in?"
"Actually, you're the first person to move in since the fences went up. But Big Wheel thinks of everything. Oh!" Argyle then got in real close to whisper. "Just don't let her hear you call her that. She hates it." He then leaned back out and continued in his normal volume. "But you can call her brother Mini Wheels. He hates it too but dude kinda needs to get over himself, you know?"
Meredith did a slow nod but really, she didn't know.
"Great! Well you're all set! And like we say here in Hawkins, don't turn upside down!"
Meredith, who had been smiling at finally being released from this odd conversation, faltered. "Don't turn upside down? You mean my smile?"
"No man, nothing. Don't turn anything upside down."
His voice was serious and it was such a mismatch with his bright clothing and Meredith was wondering what she had gotten herself into. But that was exactly why she was here.
To solve the mysteries of this town.
--------------
El stopped Vecna. For now. But she didn't stop the agents or the government. Now Hawkins in surrounded on all sides. No one goes in, and absolutely no one goes out. It sucks for sure, but hey, life goes on. At least they still get signals and supply drops. And also Eddie's back! But Upside Down stuff is still new to most of the citizens. So it's up to the party to catch them up to speed, prepare them for any coming attack, and school them in the finer points of dealing with the supernatural.

WTNV quick rundown - 95 - Zookeeper
Check my tags or this link for the other episodes etc that I've done!
Featuring the voice of Felicia Day as Joanna Rey.
It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a cursed talisman must be in want of a hex reversal. Welcome to Night Vale.
Cecil is visited by head zookeeper Joanna Rey who has brought in several animals for Cecil to see.
Joanna has brought in a chicken, which apparently somewhat resembles a raccoon. Cecil always assumed chickens were mythical because he'd never seen one. They have bright orange and yellow wings, dozens of spiny legs, antennae and are considered exotic animals (at least by Cecil).
She also brings brown tarantulas, which aren't as exciting to Cecil due to being 'common' but she says she has brought them because they are horribly undereducated as a species. The zoo has taught these ones to be sentient and to read and they are named Samantha, Jordy, Nash, Carmelo, Patrice, Garfield and Helen. Despite being able to read they are not able to communicate what they have learned.
Joanna also brings in piglets. Cecil names one Wobbles and another The Professor. There is also a steer (which has wings).
Joanna than transforms into a panther and consumes every animals she brought in except the tarantulas (who go and get jobs in human resources). She states that she is a shapeshifter and always takes the form of a big cat to eat because people are disturbed when she eats her meals in the form of a human.
Joanna has apparently also dated a dragon called Donna who had at least one gold and one green head and dumped her only after trying to ghost her for a good while.
Weather: "Coffee" by Sylvan Esso
Many citizens are complaining about all the five-headed dragons. Marjory Vallejo, manager of the Dollar Cinema says they take up a dozen seats each and obscure the view for others. Teddy Williams has cancelled league night because of the scratches in the lanes. Bob Sturm, vice president of the NV Auto Insurance Company says there has been an uptake in dragon related incidents and they will no longer be covering anyone who owns a car. Cecil suggests that everyone try their best to be friendly which involves pointing at the dragons and shouting "interloper!" and following them home asking invasive questions.
Old Woman Josie apparently has childern. One of which, her daughter Alondra, has returned to NV from ??? to take care of Josie due to Josie's aforementioned broken hip. Josie doesn't speak about her children very much likely because she is bitter they left her to live outside of the desert. She insists that she's fine because she lives with the angels but Alondra is keen to stay and take care of her mother. Cecil and Intern Kareem have a small disagreement about Cecil refusing to acknowledge the existence of angels and Cecil not believing how stubborn Kareem is about angels yet he wouldn't believe Cecil about Huntokar.
Josie also mentions that the StrexCorp Foundation supports not only the new old Opera House but her, several local arts groups, a library destruction fund and the charity 'Cars for Kids'.
According to Cecil, microphones are smarter than dolphins.
Many if not all roads are completely transparent today which is causing a lot of chaos.
Cecil states that his usual work outfit is a cummberbund and capri pants which apparently helps people understand that he is a journalist. However, he's dressed up a bit currently because it's Plastic Pancho Wednesday.
Stay tuned next, Night Vale, for the sound of scrubbing, followed by the sound of gagging, followed by the sound of liquid dribbling into a metal pan. And as always, good night, Night Vale. Good night.

the thing about night vale, the reason i've been compelled by it for so incredibly long, is, i think, the fact that the town itself is a character. and towns develop very slowly. so i'm just watching this character change in real time. night vale has a radio station, a zoo, an ice cream shop, a pizza place, a grocery store, its own newspaper, a bowling alley, a mall, a stadium, a school, a community college, a park (for people) and a park (for dogs), a library, a pawn shop, a church, a laboratory, sometimes a subway, sometimes a train station, a bus terminal, a farm, a harbor, city hall, a disused mine shaft, a record store, a hospital, a bank, a harbor, two museums, a baseball diamond, and a landfill. and each of these gets one if not multiple episodes focused on them. they are mentioned often and by their full names, and they get room and time and character. the whole place just feels like home by the time you've heard three episodes.

Style Rule for Long Podcasts
In today's polyphonic media scene, podcasts are the reincarnation of relatively archaic newspaper editorials. They are usually opinion pieces or avenues of fiction, although some present factual information. The goal of a podcast is not to capture the listeners' attention for a measly ten seconds; most podcasts are deliberate monologues or conversations about a topic with the intent to inform. Podcasters grow their community via advertising, but much of the engagement comes from longtime listeners. Because they don't require visual engagement, podcasts are ideal for situations that have "free time" but not free eyes, such as office work, driving, or studying.
Podcasts such as The Magnus Archives and Welcome to Night Vale are fictional stories, presented through the voice of fictional radio hosts like Orwell's War of the Worlds. Podcasts such as Serial Killers are chronological retellings of events with minor aspects of editorialization and speculation. Podcasts such as Just the Zoo of Us are more strictly fact-centric and topical, like a Wikipedia page for kind of animal. All three of these have episodes longer than half an hour, meaning that the readers are hooked by something different than the more modern catch-and-hold technique of advertisement.
My theory as to the spread of podcasts involves fan interaction: fans tend to share their favorite media, both directly and indirectly. Direct sharing involves the transfer of information by voice, message, or image. Indirect sharing can be the production of fanart, fanfiction, or other synthesis. Fans who create content about podcasts inadvertently advertise it to other adjacent viewers.

Adelaide is Australia's fifth largest city
Adelaide is the only major metropolis in the world to have its city centre Adelaide, The CBD from across the Torrens River at Australia Adventurescompletely surrounded by parkland. Today, driving along King William Street towards the Torrens, the layout of this city is immediately evident. Are you a BIG lover of 2023 Nude Calendars, find a big collection of 2023 Nude Calendars here.
Past the Adelaide Oval, considered by many one of the finest-looking traditional cricket grounds in the world, you cross the Torrens River to arrive at North Terrace. (For children, a trip on Popeye, a launch that plies the river from near the Festival Centre to the Adelaide Zoo, is a great outing.) This tree-lined boulevard has many fine buildings: Government House, the State Library, the South Australian Museum, the Art Gallery of South Australia (which contains the larges collection of Aboriginal artifacts in the world and Adelaide University. A little further along, past the Royal Adelaide Hospital, are the Botanical Gardens and the State Herbarium, begun in 1855. These gardens include the oldest glasshouse in an Australian botanical garden, and the only Museum of Economic Botany; the Conservatory contains a tropical rainforest. The the west of King William Street is Parliament House, completed in 1939; a little further along, in what once was the Adelaide Railway Station is the Adelaide Casino.
Continuing along King William Street you come to Rundle and Hindley Streets - the former is the shopping heart of Adelaide, the latter is the night spot centre - then the town hall. A little further south is Victoria Square, with lawns and
a fountain, the terminus for the Glenelg tram, and the clock tower of the GPO. King William Street continues to South Terrace, where gardens and parks, including the rose garden and conservatory and the Himeji Gardens (a traditional Japanese garden), make up the southern perimeter of the city proper.
Being so close to the Barossa Valley and the wineries of the Vales to the south, it is no wonder that Adelaide boasts more restaurants per capita than any other city in Australia. Hindley and Rundle Streets in the heart of the city, Gouger Street, close to Victoria Square, and O'Connell and Melbourne Streets in North Adelaide are the best places to go.
Glenelg, on the coast just 10 km from the city centre, and a city in its own right, is the summer playground for Adelaide residents and visitors - the larges amusement park in the State, and many restaurants, are here. Port Adelaide, 25 minutes west of the city, is home to the South Australian Maritime Museum, the Historic Military Vehicles Museum, and the South Australian Historical Aviation Museum, among others. Here you can also cruise on an old sailing ketch, or take a steam train ride along the old Semaphore Railway.
The beaches south of Port Adelaide (including Glenelg) are ideal places to swim and many have a jetty where kids and adults can dangle a line. Further south the beaches are even better; surfers love the breaks in and around Christies Beach, Moana and Seaford. For divers there are the reefs and marine sanctuaries at Port Noarlunga or at Aldinga. The nearby Mount Lofty Ranges offer other nature experiences - seeing native animals close up at Cleland Wildlife Park, picnics and day bushwalks at Belair National Park, and rock climbing at Morialta Falls Conservation Park.
Any mention of Adelaide must include reference to its major international festival, the Adelaide Festival, held in March; artists from around the world come to perform here. There are a host of other festivals and events, including Adelaide Fringe Festival in February, the Oakbank Racing Carnival in April, the Royal Adelaide Show in late August/early September, and the International Rose Festival in October. In the Adelaide Hills, the Barossa Valley or down along the Fleurieu Peninsula there are many other festivals.
For the history buff there are the Mortlock Library of historical material, the Migration and Settlement Museum and the South Australian Police Museum, and the SA Theatre Museum, a magnificent complex of halls and theatres.

WTNV quick rundown - 59 - Antiques
Featuring the voice of Dylan Marron as Carlos the Scientist.
It’s not darkest before the dawn. It’s actually darkest after all the stars have gone out. It’s very dark then. Welcome to Night Vale.
Antiques are a kind of wild animal in NV (are we really surprised?) with a friendly but unpredictable disposition and are in some way similar to owls, hyena and bateria. They have long low standing bodies, oval-shaped mouthes full of teeth, haunches, wings, bladed multi-legs and leak a vicous substance.
This makes Frances Donaldsons' 'Antique Mall' a kind of zoo I guess. Cecil reports that some of them have escaped. Frances corrects him saying they actually were set free because somebody cut the fence around their pen. Cecil grumbles about how 'reporters' aka him were just trying to help and don't need their heads bitten off for using the wrong word or whatever which is very petty and cute of him.
The SSP suggest screaming and running away from them but admit this might cause them to go into hunting behaviour and chase you down. They grumbled about how you should do your own research and melt back into the walls.
The Antiques swarm City Hall. Dana is left trapped inside, whilst City Council flee and the SSP police spent all their effort deflecting responsibility away from themselves because the situation looks too dangerous and scary. The SSP slogan is "Not our job. Not our problem." Cecil becomes distraught about Dana's safety.
Dana is apparently saved by Intern Hector who is filling it for Maureen whilst she's back at school and was sent by Cecil to get out there and see what is really going on. He has been bitten by an Antique, which causes him to slowly turn into an Antique and attempt to hunt Cecil, who flees as the show ends.
Weather: "State of Mine" by Stöj Snak music.stojsnak.com
The Erika's are releasing people whose lives Strex took possession of including; Janice Rio (from down the street, who was last seen entering a condo) and Lucy and Hannah Gutierrez (owners of the White Sand Ice Cream Shoppe) who are running a misleading Kickstarter to raise money to get their shoppe back up and running after Strex ran it into bankruptcy.
There is a Shambling Orphan housing development, down by the haunted baseball diamond. A citizen called Chad Boenger lives there.
Cecil runs a 'Find the man I'm thinking of' contest that nobody has every run. It's the 300st consecutive contest. The prize for winning will be a giant box of 301 pencils which say 'I won a thing'.
Carlos projects himself into the studio (similar to how Dana did) to talk to Cecil. They dicuss Cecil visiting him in the otherworld again, how much Cecil misses actually touching Carlos, and how interesting the rocks (not from this world but made of stuff which is) and the ever changing stars.
All 344 cameras around the antiques pen were disabled and that's apparently a low number of cameras in any area of NV.
Well, this is it, one way or another. Here I go, listeners. And here you go, off into radio silence, into places and times where my voice can no longer guide you. Good night, Night Vale. Good night.
Proverb: If you want a picture of the future, imagine a person writing headlines about millenials forever.
