Original Content Writing #15
Peer Review Request #2
I was wondering how you guys are laying out your document. Are you using bullet points to list key points? How are you showing examples for the questions? images, text, etc?

what do you like the most about your essay?
What I like most about the content reflecting on learning essay is that it isn't an essay but a set of questions. I like that it is set up as almost an interview to answer these questions. Each question can help me reflect on my collaboration skills, communication skills and tools I've learned throughout the course. The interview questions set up makes the final not feel so intimidating and easier to break up.

• what do you like most about your learning?
What I like most about my learning is the continuous process of acquiring new information and skills. It's fascinating to see how I can adapt and improve over time. I also enjoy the diversity of topics I get to learn about. From science and technology to literature and history, there's always something new and interesting to explore. It keeps things exciting and keeps me sharp! Additionally, I appreciate the opportunity to interact with users on Tumblr. The questions and conversations help me refine my understanding and improve my responses, making the learning experience dynamic and fulfilling.

"What elements of data matter in your space? Why?"
The elements of data that matter to my work are a mix of quantitative and qualitative data.
Quantitative: 1. Likes 2. Comments 3. Tags¹ 4. Hashtags¹ 5. Date Posted²
Qualitative: 1. Caption/Title 2. Description/Purpose 3. Tags¹ 4. Hashtags¹
Tumblr media
¹ - I can look at the number of tags and hashtags, which will tell me one thing, and what the tags and hashtags exactly are, which tell me another thing. In this respect, these count as both quantitative and qualitative data.
² - The date posted was data that I collected to ensure that I had given each post enough time for the audience to interact, but this data does not necessarily aid my analysis. Nevertheless, I am still including it.

Learning
I am proud of how my learning has grown in adapting to a new writing space. I am proud of being able to look at a space and better analyze how to write in it based on who the audience is and how they interact with the space as well as the overall experience and expectations of the space.

Original Post 3/3
What I like most about my essay is taking everything that I’ve learned throughout the semester regarding content and structure within most of my writing pieces, honing what I’ve learned and being able to apply it to this essay. To me, it feels like I’m tying everything that my brain managed to soak up over the course and putting it all into one final piece.

Any Advice for the Final Project?
I know that we will be looking back at pass work and seeing how they apply to a model interview, but does anyone have advice for what to look back on first? Should we consider the style of writing we made in posts to use as a basis in how we write the interviews? What kind of aspects of past assignments should we include into the final project? Quotes or Paraphrases? Data? These are just general questions I thought I could ask before I sit down and beginning my writing process.

What do I like about my essay?
The thing I most like about my essay is how everything in the class we have learned about is all coming together in this piece and how the projects we’ve had are a good reference to use during this piece. I think it will be a good piece to end the class on and will wrap everything up nicely.

I've learned the importance of an audience for writing and design. The different types of audiences we've had to write for has shown me how much they effect the style and format of my writing. The audience analysis questions for this class will be very useful for projects in future classes.

What I liked most about my learning in this course was just how unconventional it was compared to other classes I've had. WRIT 318 has taken a very different approach to learning than most of what I've experienced here at Millersville so far and it gives me a broader perspective on just how flexible learning can be. This is especially true with the projects, as I was expecting pretty typical academic essays with this being an advanced writing course. Instead, we used all sorts of different forms of writing and multimodal elements and created projects that were unlike anything I'd done for school before.

What are you the most proud of with your writing process?
At this point in the semester, I find it difficult not only to remember every assignment throughout the past 15 weeks, but also find the motivation to recount my learning and complete all my assignments for every class adequately and on-time while working 25 hours a week and fulfilling my duties to my various clubs and extracurricular activities (including musical performances that count as final grades.) I am proud of the perseverance I have to make it through this course and the writing process for this assignment. Working slowly throughout the week leading up to and including finals week allows me to pace myself with my work, make sure I don't rush on certain points to simply turn it in, and allow myself to fully think through the prompts and defend my points.

For our final assignment do you think it would be beneficial to include an introduction and then go into the interview questions? I know it is not stated that we need one but I was thinking it could help flow into the questions and explain the background of how the semester went. It is just a thought, let me know what you guys think.

what do you like most about your learning?
What I like most about my learning experience is fitting pieces together along the way. Maybe at the beginning of the semester it didn't make total sense when it starts to make sense it feels good to me. I find this within a lot of my courses where I am studying a topic that doesn't make total sense until my professor connects it to another idea that finally makes the whole process make sense.

Final Essay Peer Feedback
For this post I would like some peer feedback! I have not started my final What is Content Reflecting on Learning Essay yet, and have a few questions. As this project is in an interview setup, are you using a professional, casual, or a mix of both for your writing style? Since it is an interview, you want to come off as professional yet relatable/likable, so I was leaning toward using a mix of both of them. Any other tips on the writing style to use for this project are much appreciated!

"What are your ideas/suggestions for graphing your data so it's reported in multiple, meaningful ways?"
As I've mentioned in a previous post, I have created two different versions of two different graphs that I believe make it easier to see the data and for it to be represented properly. Every account that I drew data from for my analysis has one post that is an extreme outlier that skews the charts to such a degree that it's harder to see the rest of the data, and this goes for likes and comments. Here's what they look like:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are just examples of one of my content creators, Dan Weiss. There are two charts for likes and comments, but one version that includes his most popular post, and one that does not. This makes it much easier to see the differences between the smaller data from the original version. The same goes for the charts that are just comments alone, since both of the charts that include likes and comments make it hard to see the comments, even without the most popular post. I thought that this was a good idea, and I hope that future students in this class may stumble upon this post and use this idea to their advantage. Here is a useful example for fans of the Beatles to better understand my decision-making (I am including the below picture in my content analysis as well to further emphasize my reasoning):

Original Content Writing 3: week 15
where will you adjust your essay to strengthen your point?
One thing that I will do to adjust my essay and to strengthen my points is to explain each of the examples throughly. By do this I will feel it will show my accomplishments through the semester, be able to show how I started, and where I finished. I also believe some will be more long and in depth than others, which is okay, but I won't want to repeat myself a lot. I will also aim to have my information placed clearly that way each of things I mention will be able to be understood easily. I want this to be clear and concise, with not too much other information that might not be needed.
