So I’ve been using X-Men ‘97 as my first real intro to the world of X-Men…
And episode 5 threw me for such a loop.
They better have some fancy fix for everything because they CANNOT do this to me.
ALSO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nightcrawler and Gambit > anyone else

A very familiar sounding bamf comes from Scott's kitchen at 3 am, followed closely by the sound of his fridge and a bit of rummaging. If that and the smell of sulfur didn't wake Scott up, the three bamfs jumping and tugging at him certainly would. The bamfs, not speaking English, resort to pulling Scott along, not seeming worried but rather quiet over something. When they finally reach when they're trying to show him, they're in his kitchen with a set of glowing gold eyes shining in the dark, half lidded and emotionless, staring at nothing in particular. Kurt is eating something and the lack of a greeting is all it really takes to show he's not all here right now
At first, Scott thinks he’s having one of the most bat crap crazy dreams he’s had in a long time. And he’s had dreams about the Quantum Realm, so that’s saying something.
But he smells the sulfur and remembers he usually doesn’t smell anything in dreams. The smell of sulfur, to his brain still idle from sleep, is not a good thing, and that makes him panic.
Then his panic only increases when he feels himself be tugged and dragged away from wherever he is - his room, right? - while hearing a different language be spoken.
And therefore, Scott shrieks in fear, completely awake no and turning his head this way and that way to try and collect his bearings…and to see if he needs to fight anyone.
He’s in his kitchen! That’s surprising. And there’s Kurt. Holy crap it’s Kurt! That explains everything.
“Kurt? Wha—what the hell is going on??”
