Profiles in Villainy
Jack Spicer
The nefarious nitwit called Jack Spicer is a self-proclaimed super villain who, despite his foolishness and neuroses, is a rather brilliant inventor.  The lad comes from a wealthy family and has been terribly neglected by his parents, resulting in recurrent panic attacks and a grossly diminished sense self esteem. He has attempted to cope with these difficulties by turning to villainy and hoping to show his worth by becoming the world’s greatest evil genius.
Utilizing a bevy of remarkable self-made devices (including such items as helicopter backpacks, ray guns, and dozens of mechanical minions) Jack has sought out to obtain the powerful Shen Gong Wu, mystical weapons crafted by the legendary Grand Master Dashi.  He released the spirit of the evil witch, Wuya, and has aided her in battle against the noble Xiaolin Warriors.
While most frequently a villain, there have been instances where Jack Spicer has shown honor and pooled resources with the heroes so to achieve the superordinate goal of preventing disaster.  The good-hearted Omi has seen that Jack is capable of turning away from villainy and has tried to convince him to do so... thus far to no avail.
The young villain is voiced by actor Danny Cooksey in the initial Xiaolin Showdown series and by actor Eric Bauza in the subsequent Xiaolin Chronicles. Jack first appeared in the debut episode of the Xiaolin Showdown animated series, airing on November 1st, 2003.

hi hello! saw you had requests open and were looking for some prompts to work on?
i hope you dont mind me sending in one :0
possessive or jealous astarion x reader maybe?
reader is divorced, has been for a while, but their ex and them are still good friends. it was a mutual, respectful separation, because the two had different life plans after being together for some time. ex is a great person with a kind heart (and js brilliant artificer or inventor maybe?) and decided to visit reader some time after the game. nothing nefarious, just some nice catching up with one of their closest friends.
just want a lil astarion jealousy here. how reader reacts is up to you. itd be fun if they just roll their eyes but indulge his possessive behavior a tad.
no need to follow everything to a T of course.
other reasons the ex could be visiting (if theyre an artificer or inventor) is because reader commissioned them for a ring or jewelry or something that lets astarion walk under the sun. fun ideas there where astarion sees the ex hand reader a ring, is almost heartbroken, but it turns out reader got the ring for him was gonna propose or something (ring lets vampires walk under the sun). some angst there wahaha
im so sorry this is so long, i had multiple ideas i wanted to offer but didnt wanna flood you.
i understand if you dont wanna work on this (these?). its still just a joy to share these. thanks!
green eyed devil

━─━────༺༻────━─━
In the months following the removal of your unwanted little brain passengers you and Astarion had been tirelessly in search of a cure for his vampiric condition. As much as you tried to discourage his masking, there were many mornings you woke to see your lover longingly staring at the covered windows surrounding your bed. Astarion would play it off cooly once the realization he’d been caught dawned on him, but he knew as well as you the agony that hid behind ruby-red eyes. The remorse ate him alive as the color in your own skin began to fade from your previously sunkissed appearance to reflect that of paleness. It stilled in comparison to his, but it was a constant reminder of the fact that, in his judgment, he’d doomed you to a life in the shadows.
You held him close to your chest and the sound of your beating heart against his ear prompted a moment of weakness. “I feel like I’m destroying you.” His words were a shutter as they left his mouth. You place a small hand on his cold cheek at the sudden confession, commending him to look up at you.
It was unspoken. You needed no words to tell you how sun-starved you had become and you vaguely recalled the last time you had gone out while it was still beaming. “Hey, I’m alright. We’re making decent progress and have more than a few promising leads. I’m not the slightest worried about it.” Even your reassuring smile and soothing words couldn’t placate the shame he felt.
“Would you go for a walk at least? You thrive in the sun and instead you’re cooped up in this little room with me until sundown, darling.” You let out a sigh of disapproval and before you can argue the suggestion, he continues. “Do it for me. I can’t bear seeing you like this.” Astarion knew without a shred of doubt that one day you’d grow tired of skulking in the dark with him, given a cure was never found. He’d do everything he could to make sure it never happened. If it did, though, Astarion believed he’d have no reason to continue his miserable existence.
After a few beats of silence, you finally nod. The look on his face was enough to tell you there was no use arguing the matter away. Evidently, this was important to him, so you sat and readied to do what he could not, what he wanted so desperately: to bathe in the rays of daylight.
-
You trudged about the city with no end in mind. Feeling the warmth of sunshine on your skin was a welcome change, and you soaked up the sensation eagerly. There was heavy remorse weighing in your chest at the thought of not being able to share this feeling with your lover all the while. You’re stopped in your tracks at the familiar face before you. “Tav! Well, you’re looking worse for wear.” The man teased. You grinned widely and wrapped your arms around him in a chaste embrace.
“I would say your words hurt, but it is a testament to your honesty, I suppose.” You quipped and stepped back to get a good look at him. It had been a lengthy amount of time since you had last seen him. You recall the last time you had been in each other’s company was when you had attended his wedding to his new wife, a lovely half-elf you had regularly messaged with. From said messages, you knew they had just welcomed a new addition to his family, and you felt great pride in the man he had become. While, yes, you had once shared a bed and a last name, it felt like a lifetime away.
“You look well, Conrad. It seems fatherhood suits you well.” He did indeed look great, not a day older than when you had last seen him despite the years passed. Black hair that somehow always looked tousled and neat at the same time, bright green eyes with no darkness marring under them, and he’d taken to toning his physique since you’d been with him, ostensibly.
You were both far too young when you had made the rash decision of running off and eloping together. Just as hastily as you two had agreed to spend the rest of your lives together, things had begun falling apart. Conrad wanted to settle and start creating a family as quickly as possible, while you were keen just the way you were. You were confident you never wanted children to begin with. Though your thoughts on the matter have recently changed, it is a testament that finding the right person has shown you things you weren’t even aware of about yourself before.
“Despite the lack of sleep, we can agree on that.” Conrad chortles gleefully, motioning you to follow him to a nearby bench. Once seated, he turns his body to face you. “You are a tough one to find, my friend. Amira told me you have been holed up in Elfsong for a while, and it was still much like digging through a needle in a haystack. The same old adventurer, hm?” He questions fondly, recalling your nature without abandon.
“You could say that.” You shrugged casually. Your head quirks as if a thought just popped into your mind. “Why are you back in Baldur’s Gate? You should be home tending to Amira.” You think back to her last letter, detailing the struggles she had been having caring for their new babe. Conrad was a journey away.
“I am here at her request.” He corrects with a wave of his hand. “It seems you and Astarion have troubled her heart with your story. She can’t stand the thought of two people so in love plagued by such great hardship. Ever the romantic she is.” You smile sadly as you remember your lover confined to the inn's room. He holds up a finger, beckoning your brow to crease as he dug into the pockets of his robe. A quiet ‘aha’ emerged as he seemingly located what he sought. He outstretched his hand to you, a simple silver-banded ring held between his fingertips. “It’s not the cure, of course. At the very least, your search won’t have to be restricted during daylight hours.”
Your breath catches in your throat as you bite back tears at the kind gesture. “Conrad, I can’t believe this.” You whisper as he drops the ring into your palm. The magic-infused band feels almost as if it hums against your hand.
“Ring of the sunwalker. I must say, it was one of the most challenging feats I’ve committed to.” Conrad muses, clearly proud of his work. You had been in search of one to gift to Astarion but they were impossible to stumble upon and even more impossible to find an artificer who was skilled enough to conjure one up. You clinch the ring in your fist and pull the man into a tight hug, painfully aware of the tears that assaulted his robe.
“Thank you, Conrad. I don’t know how to repay you or Amira for this kindness.” Your words were earnest, and you dab under your wet eyes.
“No repayment necessary, Tav. You’re family to us. It pains us to know you’re in such a tight predicament. However, a visit once you and your other half are ready would be welcomed. Got to lay the law out and let this vampire know who he’ll have on his tail if he ever hurts you.” His teasing cadence elicited a laugh from you, bumping his shoulder playfully with your own.
You two chat for a while longer before bidding goodbye to one another. “Just make sure that gets put to use, Tav. You look like you haven’t had a drop of sunlight in your life.” You reassure that you will with a broad smile.
The walk back to the inn is painstakingly long given how eager you were to present Astarion with his new ring. The image of your lover once again bathed in sunlight made your heart swoon. When opening the room’s door you can hardly contain the excited smile on your lips. Astarion was unmoving on the bed, trying to slip into a meditative state when you entered the room.
“The sun is still up, my darling—plenty of fun to be had out there.” There was feigned annoyance in his words but in reality, he was contented to have you back where he knew you were safe. There was something off, though. Astarion pushes himself onto his elbows and stares at you with narrowed eyes. The look made your breathing hitch, your smile faltering the slightest bit.
Within a second, he’s in front of you, faces a mere inch apart. “What’s wrong?” You asked carefully, hand instinctively reaching for the ring in your pocket. You twiddle your fingers around it but hesitate to pull it out.
“You reek.” He deadpans, inspecting your body as if searching for a physical sign you’d been laid up with another man.
“Well, that’s kind of rude.” You joked, but the silence that followed told you there was more to it than he’d let on.
“You reek of another, my dear.” His words dripped with condescension, and you let out a chuckle, ready to explain away his worries.
“Oh no, that’s just Conrad. He actually-” Before you could say anything more, you were pressed firmly between the solid oak door behind you and Astarion’s firm chest. He looks down on you, and you can’t discern if his red eyes radiate that of rage or lust. Perhaps both.
“Your ex-husband. I leave you alone for all but a few hours, and you find your way into another man’s arms?” Accusatory words were whispered into your ear, the sensation of his soft lips tickling the sensitive skin. His fingertips firmly planted into your hip as he led you to the bed, pressing you roughly to the soft comforter you two had spent so many days wrapped up in one another atop. His greedy hands expertly flip you over. Your ass stood in attention before him, and he worked the skirt of your dress up until it pooled around your chest.
Before you could comprehend his jealous fit, your underwear was ripped from your body, and his hard cock was buried deeply inside of you. You let out a moan at the sensation of him filling you. His hand slid up your back until it reached the back of your head, taking a fistful of your long hair into his palm as he plowed into you, hips slamming loudly against your skin throughout the otherwise quiet room—your back arches as you allowed him to take you. Your eyes rolled back, and you grasped the sheets tightly in your own hands.
Astarion had become increasingly possessive of you since the Mindflayer incident came to a close. Still, you’d never put him in a position to react so passionately to any jealousy he may have felt. When his hand wrapped around you to make contact with your clit, you knew you were putty in this man’s hands. He rubbed slowly and firmly, his other hand still in your hair. You cried out in pleasure, everything in your mind melting away as he fucked you into the bed.
“Bet Conrad never fucked you with such tenacity, hm, darling?” His words were confident, fastening his pace as he failed to receive an answer, a silent reminder that he expected a response from those pretty little lips.
“N-never.” You stutter feeling winded from the intense pleasure coursing through your veins.
“Good girl.” He grunted in response, finding a smoother pace. He knew he wouldn’t last much longer with how your drenched core gripped his cock, and his fingers continued their attention over your sensitive clit. “You’re mine. Understand?”
You nod numbly as stars flood your vision, crying out with the orgasm that electrified your body. “Say it. Say you’re mine.” His words came from gritted teeth, and you obliged, the words falling from your mouth causing him to reach his completion, his seed filling you full. As he shifts to lay beside you, he looks at you with darkened eyes. “Why were you with him?” There was no hiding the distaste in his voice.
“Before you so rudely, but pleasurably, interrupted me, I was going to explain that to you.” You hummed teasingly, sitting up beside him. Your dress rested around your knees as you did so and you reached for the ring in your pocket. You offered it out to him and you didn’t have to speak a word for him to know what possibilities the simple-looking ring possessed.
He slipped it onto his finger and stood from the bed. He walked to the covered window and pushed the curtains aside. There he stood in all his glory, the sun's rays illuminated against his pale skin. He tilted his head back and closed his eyes, letting out the faintest cry of satisfaction at the warmth he had so longed to feel again. You move to stand behind him, your arms wrapped around his waist. Your forehead rests against his back, and a content smile plays on your mouth. “You thrive in the sun, too.” You pointed out softly.
“Perhaps I owe that artificer a thank you. His scent on you tells me he touched you one too many times, though. That said, I will not like it. And I will not like him.” You knew Astarion would never accept Conrad as a friend due to his possessiveness, but you knew he was thankful. That was a step in the right direction at the least.

Genre Thoughts: Adventure
Chesterton famously said, "An inconvenience is an adventure wrongly considered," which suggests that adventure as a genre is less about the story elements and more about the attitude one takes toward them. Lots of genres can incorporate adventure, because adventure is largely defined by the tone. An adventure puts the characters in danger, but it gives the characters a chance to go exciting places and do exciting things, and generally takes an optimistic tone--this adventure is a good, exciting thing, and the characters are privileged to experience it.
Not that every adventure has enthusiastic and optimistic characters. Reluctant heroes are a staple of the adventure genre--someone who is pulled out of their comfortable life and into a realm of intrigue and danger. But the audience knows that the adventure, as inconvenient as it is, is a welcome escape from the safe routine of daily life, and will give the main character a chance to prove their mettle and become a hero.
Which makes adventure an ideal genre for promoting courage. Adventure lets the audience see that staying in their safe routine isn't always the best way to find happiness, that the problems in life can be opportunities, rather than inconveniences, if we take the right view of them, and have courage in facing them. As Christians, our life is an adventure that offers a lot of dangers and pitfalls, but also lots of opportunities for heroism.
As I said, almost any genre can incorporate adventure, but for Inklings Challenge purposes, we need to incorporate some type of fantasy or science fiction element. To differentiate it from the adventures that could be written by other teams--with their alternate universes or other planets--it could be best to try to keep the action largely focused on past, present, future, or an alternate Earth. Which still offers lots of opportunities for imagination. This is where writers can play with alternate history, steampunk, cyberpunk, dieselpunk (all sorts of -punks), fascinating future Earths, or even just someone in our ordinary world getting caught up, say, in a mad scientist's plot or involved in the political intrigues of elves. Your characters can go on Indiana-Jones-style quests, or Jules-Verne travel adventures, or anything else your imagination can think of!
Some types of adventure stories:
Mysteries
Spy stories
Thrillers
Quests
Treasure hunts
Superhero stories
Alternate history
Steampunk, cyberpunk, other "-punk" type universes
Dystopian/post-apocalyptic fiction
Writing Prompts
A person living in an underwater colony on a future Earth goes on a quest to find lost technology that could save their home from destruction.
Someone gets a package with a invisibility cloak and uses it to go on the run from nefarious criminals who'd do anything to get their hands on it.
On a post-apocalyptic Earth, the leader of a peaceful settlement must decide whether to trust the stranger and accompany him on a quest to find a food cache that could get the village through the winter.
In a steampunk world, a dead inventor's notebook leads his son on a quest to find a rare element that could revolutionize airship technology.
A woman is mistaken for a lost elven princess and must evade those who would assassinate her.

I don't know if you wanna answer this but I wanna hear your thoughts on this.
We can all agree that Mel Medarda is an amazing character on her own and people shit on her for petty reasons like her getting in the way of a ship and making things up about her. What I wanna know is your thoughts on her.
What I see, I think the relationship between her and Jayce could be tragic on its own cause, to me, it's like Meg and Hercules from Disney. Meg went after Hercules under orders of Hades in exchange for her freedom, only to fall in love with Hercules for real and feels regret for betraying him like so.
While Meg and Mel are different in circumstances, I get the tragedy between them in a way.
Mel probably brought Jayce to a seat at the council and her bed to benefit her in the long run only to slowly care about him over the course of the season.
And that could be what could hurt them. Mel realizes too late she cares about him but can't fully give her love cause of politics (and if s2 goes, war and/or her death) and if Jayce found out that her being intimate with him was just to get him to be her yes man it would shatter Jayce terribly.
From the posts I've seen here, Jayce goes from being a bright and optimistic inventor to a selfish and cold man.
His decaying friendship is already what'd pushing him towards that path. But if he knew Mel's original intentions from say... Swain or herself then it would destroy him.
Sorry for rambling
You can always ramble in my inbox 🥰
I try to be diplomatic in my discussions of Mel, cuz I don’t want anyone to think I don’t like her or that I’m trying to write her off, as a JayVik shipper. I’m critical of Mel, but I’m also critical of Jayce and Viktor. They’re all flawed people, and that’s what makes them great characters. So with that little disclaimer in mind, my thoughts.
The Meg/Hercules comparison is actually so fitting. I think it was all politics for her in the beginning—“we need something to put Piltover on the map. What of today’s trial?”—she was thinking purely as a politician and a businesswoman, and she saw Jayce and his ideas as a good investment. And to cultivate that investment for maximum profit, she also had to play him a little. I don’t think she would see it as manipulation, like the audience tends to, she just read him like an open book; he craved validation and praise, and what’s the harm in stroking his ego?
(And other things)
Tumblr media
But just like Meg, I think she started falling for him. His naïveté and softness that started out as a tool for controlling him began to needle at her. She started easing off the gas and trying to protect him as time went on, started taking what was best for him into consideration, for example:
Elora: “I’ve had word from our friends overseas.”
Mel: “It’s too soon. Jayce isn’t ready.”
And I think by the time they slept together, she was falling pretty good. She could see how malleable he was, and how it was turning out to not be such a great thing. Cuz that’s a Pandora’s box—if you can control him, so can others. And then you could lose him, and to someone with far more nefarious motives.
And if Jayce finds out that she was “manipulating” him (or believes that she was) to get him to build weapons that would eventually be shipped out to Noxus so that they might steamroll their enemies? Yeah, I think it would taint their entire relationship. Even if she tried to explain, tried to make him see that maybe it started out that way, but you changed me, you changed my mind. You made me see that the path I was treading was one that lead straight to becoming my mother… I’m not sure he would believe her. It’s the same thing that happened with Daenerys and Jorah Mormont in Game of Thrones—he started out spying on her in a selfish attempt to gain favor in King’s Landing. But he fell for her in the process, ceased his spying, and joined her for good. But when she found out, it soured all the good he did, painted all of it in blood. Cuz you can’t take any of that stuff back, even when you change your ways. You can’t un-betray someone, you can’t un-manipulate them.
And yeah, him losing Viktor and Mel at the same time? It could definitely send him spiraling, send him down a rabbit hole of “I’m the only person I can trust, apparently. Why bother with other people, all they do is betray and leave me.” And while I honestly have a hard time seeing how this sweet cinnamon roll of a Jayce that Arcane has given us could ever go that route… I think we saw it a little bit, in that final scene—the eye roll and “I don’t give a shit what any of you think of me anymore.”
Really I just think Mel is a complex, flawed person who has one of the more weighty instances of character growth in the show. She starts out cold and detached—just playing the game, like she’s been doing for years—and for several reasons, not just her relationship with Jayce, she starts to really think about her actions and their consequences. And I sincerely hope she’s not killed in the explosion, cuz I’d really like to see the conclusion of that arc.

Hydra Prized Creation
➥ summary: Hydra created a mastermind unlike none other with intellects only the greatest individuals could possess they combined that with their new advanced version of the super solider serum, and thus a ghost was born.
➥ chapter 1: The Creation of a Living Enigma
Tumblr media
In the clandestine depths of a hidden laboratory, far away from prying eyes, a young woman named (Y/N) came into existence. She was no ordinary being; she was the result of a dark alliance between the nefarious organization known as Hydra and their insidious experiments. (Y/N) was forged to be their ultimate weapon, a convergence of scientific prowess and untapped potential.
Hydra, driven by their insatiable desire for power and control, spared no expense in crafting their living enigma. In their relentless pursuit of dominance, they combined the most advanced iteration of the Super Soldier Serum with a host of genetic material derived from the greatest creators, inventors, and masterminds the world had ever known. (Y/N) became a living amalgamation of brilliance and physical prowess.
The laboratory hummed with energy as the final preparations were made for the creation of this unprecedented being. Hydra's scientists, cloaked in the shadows of their sinister intentions, meticulously calibrated the intricate mechanisms of (Y/N)'s creation. They carefully infused her nascent form with the advanced Super Spiller Serum, a potent elixir designed to enhance her physical attributes to unparalleled heights.
Layer by layer, (Y/N)'s genetic blueprint was woven with threads of brilliance and ingenuity. Fragments of DNA from luminaries such as Leonardo da Vinci, Nikola Tesla, Ada Lovelace, Albert Einstein, and countless others were delicately interwoven into her being. This genetic mosaic imbued her with an incomparable intellect, a mind capable of grasping the intricacies of science, art, and invention with unprecedented clarity.
As the final stage of her creation approached, (Y/N)'s dormant form lay suspended in a chamber of pulsating liquid, each nutrient-rich droplet nurturing her developing potential. The air crackled with anticipation, for Hydra knew that within her lay the promise of unrivaled power and immeasurable destruction.
With a surge of electricity and a burst of blinding light, (Y/N) emerged from her liquid cocoon, her eyes snapping open to reveal an incandescent intelligence that seemed to pierce through the veil of the unknown. Her hair cascaded around her face, dark as midnight, as she took her first breath, filling her lungs with the air of her newfound existence.
The scientists, simultaneously awed and fearful of their creation, gazed upon her with a mix of trepidation and pride. Their ultimate weapon had been forged, an entity capable of reshaping the world in Hydra's sinister image. But (Y/N) was no mere puppet; she possessed a mind of her own, fueled by the amalgamation of the world's greatest intellects.
Hydra, basking in the thrill of their accomplishment, prepared to unleash their creation upon an unsuspecting world. They envisioned a future in which (Y/N) would infiltrate the highest echelons of power, bending governments and institutions to their will. She would be Hydra's masterpiece, a living embodiment of their aspirations.
Yet, in the midst of Hydra's triumph, a flicker of defiance danced within (Y/N)'s eyes. Deep within her core, she harbored a yearning for freedom, an innate desire to break free from the clutches of her creators and chart her own path. She knew that she possessed unparalleled potential, not only as a weapon but as a force for change in a world marred by darkness.
As (Y/N) stood tall, her presence radiating with the knowledge of her extraordinary origins, she resolved to seize control of her destiny. She would harness her superlative intellect, her physical prowess, and the echoes of the greatest minds ever known within her, to forge a future that defied Hydra's sinister machinations.
And so, (Y/N), born of Hydra's ambitions but tempered by the indomitable spirit of her creators and inventors, took her first steps into an uncertain world. Her journey had just begun, her path riddled with choices, challenges, and a purpose that transcended the shadows of her creation.

A heartfelt tribute to Victor Timely
I know if you follow me on main you've probably already read enough posts about Victor Timely, but he's my favourite character from S2, and I love him very very much, okay ^^.
Tumblr media
I will soon make a separate post about my impressions on S2 (it's complicated), but despite certain disappointments, this season managed to subvert a few of my fears and I'm happy with that.
As you might know, I was on the "burn the TVA to the ground" team, so I am not totally satisfied by the finale, but things could have been a lot worse.
One of my biggest fear for this season was the implications of Kang as the big bad.
Season 1 was all about free will and poeple being more than the role assigned to them by society. The very concept of Kang as The Enemy makes me uncomfortable because it implies the existance of a whole type of poeple inherently dangerous and evil by nature.
During the finale, HWR implied the existance of "benevolent" versions of himself, but as long as we don't see them in person, their existance is at best downplayed to justify the anhiliation of a whole group of poeple based on their time aura. Really icky...
But S2 made sure to tell the audience Kang variants are not inherently evil. They are human beings and they have as much free will as any other type of Variants.
Humanizing Kang
Tumblr media
The first time we see Victor on screen, he is introduced as a child. And innocent little boy minding his own business until the TVA disturbs the course of his existance (not unlike Sylvie...).
And this is so important.
Compare this to the way Victor is introduced in Quantumania.
Tumblr media
A mysterious man emerging from the shadows like a cheap horror movie's villain. Victor doesn't do anything bad, but he is framed as a menace.
S2 recontextualizes Victor as a human being. A little boy who grew up in poverty and worked hard to make himself a better life. And also, ultimately, a victim of the TVA.
But Victor Timely is much more than a simple plot device to remind the audience that "not all Kangs are bad" or serve Sylvie's arc. He is his own character with (in my very subjective opinion) one of the best arcs of the season.
Victor's ambivalence
When we first see him in 1893, he is introduced as an ambivalent figure. Is he a genius inventor ? A complete sham ? Maybe a bit of both ?
Tumblr media
And this ambivalence is what makes him so great as a character. Should we trust him ? He's a Kang after all. But he's just a funny little guy and he seems so innocent.
Tumblr media
His relationship with Ravonna is the perfect exemple of this ambivalence. His schoolboy crush on her is adorable. Is it reciprocated ? Maybe a little bit ? Ravonna isn't insensitive to Victor's quirkiness.
Tumblr media
But ultimately, he betrays her in a brutal and cowardly way.
Tumblr media
Once at the TVA, we discover another side of Victor's personality. He is very curious about all the futuristic technology, especially because he thinks he is the one who invented everything. And once again, there an ambivalence. Thinking he created all of this, Victor shows his big ego, but there is no malice in it. He doesn't asks what the TVA is or what they do, he's just running around excitedly and marvels at the coffee machine.
Tumblr media
And yet, his capture by Ravonna makes the audience doubt again. Will Victor betray Loki and his team to save his own life ? To be completely fair, even if he did, he would still not be completely wrong. From his perspective, both Ravonna and Loki are strangers who want to use him for obcure reasons, and he has no reason to trust any of them. But he still choses to side with Loki, wasting her time until the rescue comes.
And when it's time to get into serious action, he willingly choses to put his life on the line to save the multiverse.
Poeple are determined by the choices they make
Tumblr media
In the end, what makes Victor such a great character for me isn't what makes him different from Kang, but what makes them alike.
Like his more nefarious Variants, Victor is a loner who doesn't do partnerships, he is ambitious and has a big ego. But those traits are not inherently bad.
He has very valid reasons to not trust easily, and in the hindsight, betraying Ravonna was the right thing to do. His ambition has mostly been used for good (and a bit of mischief), and there is nothing wrong with being confident and proud of one's achievement as long as we respect others.
During this season, Victor had plenty of possibilities to seize power at the TVA, but he kept making the best decisions, sometimes for selfish reasons, sometimes for heroic ones. And yet, we can ask ourselves what would have happened if Miss Minutes had not sabotaged his budding relationship with Ravonna.
Is Victor inherently a good man ? Or could he have made the same mistakes that sent his variants on the path of war ? Both HWR and Quantumania Kangs see themselves as the hero and think they are fighting to save the multiverse from their Variants. Maybe the fatal flaws of Kangs are their deep sense of insecurity and self loathing.
Tumblr media
I'm disapointed we didn't see what happens to him after the events of S2, but since his name appears on the new TVA Handbook, we can assume he stayed in the new TVA with the poeple he learned to trust.

Like, yes the time machines are Doc and the Time Family's most important, well-guarded secret (of potentially universe-ending proportions) but while Doc would hate it, I'm very much down for plots where people somehow find out about the time machines through nefarious means. Where Doc gets kidnapped and threatened as they try and force him to work for them.
Or for fun dystopian, alternate reality plots - Doc and x person (work out details later) end up somewhere that is very much not the world they left and the question becomes WHY and then a whole adventure on that front.
Or, simply just alternate realities period where Doc gets to be a badass inventor and he's met there doing his own thing.

Small “Danganronpa: Omni” Masterpost
Hello!!!! Ever since I’ve started sharing bits of info on my fangan and it’s characters, I’ve been meaning to create something like this so that anyone who wants quick access to things like character backgrounds and others stuff can have it. Inventor of the "Positive Reinforcement" attack in my canon and the only one she's capable of using
I was gonna keep this a secret but she is trying to develop Dip for nefarious purposes
(on this note I will rewrite Operation: Toon Escape someday I swear)
There is a particular mutual who is obsessed with her & I love them for that
I use to always draw her drinking oil out of a martini glass, thought it made her look more intimidating or something

Profiles in Villainy
The Phantom Blot
The master criminal known as The Phantom Blot is a vain and diabolical cad whose desire for money and power is only surpassed by his need to immortalize his name in ‘the annals of crime.’  The Blot’s lust for power and fame have led to countless nefarious schemes that range from simple theft to attempts to conquer the entire world.
Shrewd and cunning, there is no crime too outrageous nor bold for The Phantom Blot.  He is a master of disguise and a brilliant inventor; he can hypnotize with a mere glare and can escape any prison or bindings…  a frightening fink to be certain!
The Phantom Blot’s villains endeavors have led to numerous confrontations with Mickey Mouse.  Oh, how The Blot hates Mickey!  He has set dozens of traps and orchestrated all manner of plots in his effort to be rid of Micky Mouse.  Through luck and guile Micky has managed to evade these schemes and thwart the Blot’s plans.
Although a thoroughly deplorable scoundrel, The Phantom Blot does have a soft spot for his beloved daughter, The Phantom Brat.  The Brat has followed in her father’s footsteps of villainy and aspires to be an even greater menace than her dad.
Tumblr media
Aside from Micky Mouse, The Blot has also matched wits with Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse, SuperGoof and Scrooge McDuck.  While he prefers to work alone or use witless henchmen, The Blot has been known to team up with fellow villains, specifically the Beagle Boys and Mad Madam Mim.  Although The Blot would never join forces with Magica DeSpell; for some reason the Blot hates magic and has taken steps to rid the world of all magic, witchcraft and sorcery.
The Phantom Blot has also run afoul of the Ducktales crew and his plans of world conquest have been foiled by Donald Duck’s nephews and niece, Huey, Huey, Dewey, Louie and Webby.
Actors Frank Welker, John O’Hurley and Giancarlo Esposito have each voiced the sinister Phantom Blot.  The villain first appeared in a 1939 comic strip entitled Micky Mouse Outwits the Phantom Blot.  His first animated appearance was in an episode of the original run of Ducktales called ‘All Ducks on Deck,’ originally airing on December 30th, 1987.

Christopher Walken in Brainstorm (Douglas Trumbull, 1983)
Cast: Christopher Walken, Natalie Wood, Louise Fletcher, Cliff Robertson, Jordan Christopher, Donald Hotton, Alan Fudge, Joe Dorsey, Bill Morey, Jason Lively, Georgianne Walken. Screenplay: Bruce Joel Rubin, Robert Stitzel, Philip Frank Messina. Cinematography: Richard Yuricich. Production design: John Vallone. Film editing: Freeman A. Davies, Edward Warschilka. Music: James Horner.
Brainstorm is a sci-tech thriller based on a premise familiar to the genre: Brilliant scientists come up with a breakthrough and face the threat that it will be misused by nefarious forces. In older films, the nefarious forces tended to be foreign ones, Nazis or Commies. Today, however, they usually come from our own corporate-military-industrial complex. Working together, Dr. Michael Brace (Christopher Walken) and Dr. Lillian Reynolds (Louise Fletcher) have created a way to transmit the brainwaves of one person to another, stimulating not only the visual and audible sensations but also the bodily ones -- respiratory, muscular, etc. The transmissions can also be recorded and stored. It's virtual reality gone whole hog, especially after Brace's wife, Karen (Natalie Wood), an industrial designer, comes up with a snazzy little headset. Brace and Reynolds are hopeful for all sorts of peaceful uses of the technology, but to get funding for it, they have to agree with the head of the corporation for which they work, Alex Terson (Cliff Robertson), that it can be shown to investors. And you know who has the money to fund such a project. The inventors are dismayed at the prospect of misuse, but they put up with it until the real dangers of the invention show up. A researcher records himself having an orgasm and gives it to another man who plays it on a loop, sending himself into a coma from the experience. And then Reynolds herself, a chain smoker, has a heart attack and dies, but not before hauling herself to the device and recording the experience. Brace discovers the tape and almost dies playing it before he's able to disconnect. Finding that the company has kept the tape and has actually killed someone with it and is experimenting with other malign uses for the technology, Brace and Karen team up to find ways to stop it. It's a worthy premise, but Trumbull, a noted special effects director making his first (and only) feature in the director's chair, encountered a perfect storm of difficulties, the chief of which was Natalie Wood's death in 1981. Wood's major scenes in Brainstorm had already been filmed, but MGM, which was in financial difficulties, pulled the plug on the project. Fortunately, the production was insured by Lloyd's of London, which stepped in and allowed Trumbull to complete the movie. Wood's sister, Lana, doubled for her in the remaining scenes. Still, Brainstorm was not a critical or commercial success. There's a funny sequence in which Brace causes the robots on the assembly line to go haywire, and Fletcher's performance is great. Wood is fine, but Walken, a specialist in offbeat characters, seems miscast. The subplot, which involves the Braces using the technology to communicate their feelings to each other and repair their fraying marriage, is tedious and sentimental. And the concluding sequence, in which we find out what Reynolds saw when she was dying, is almost inevitably a letdown.

Write a short story where Bowser was about to turn Mario into a baby after he was outsmarted by mario once again, but luigi shielded mario making luigi turned into a baby instead, bower had escaped, and mario went to e. gadd for help and e.gadd had no choice but to babysit baby luigi, while looking for some reversal mushrooms
Once again, the Mushroom Kingdom was in turmoil. Bowser, the relentless Koopa King, had hatched yet another nefarious plan to capture Princess Peach and thwart his arch-nemesis, Mario. This time, he had a dastardly scheme in mind. He had discovered a magical artifact that could turn anyone into a baby, and he believed that turning Mario into a helpless infant would make it easier to kidnap Peach.
Bowser's plan was deviously simple. He'd lure Mario into a trap, use the artifact to transform him into a baby, and then make off with Princess Peach. He knew Mario was smart and quick, so he had to set the perfect trap to catch him off guard. It was all going according to plan until Luigi, Mario's loyal brother, came to the rescue.
Luigi had always been a bit overshadowed by his famous sibling, but he was determined to prove his worth. When he learned of Bowser's plot, he rushed to Mario's side just in the nick of time. Bowser's trap was an intricate maze, and he had thought Mario would be alone. As Mario navigated the maze, he stumbled into a chamber filled with strange, glowing mushrooms.
Bowser, believing he had finally outsmarted Mario, activated the artifact and pointed it at the heroic plumber. But just as he was about to unleash the magic, Luigi, driven by brotherly love, pushed Mario out of the way and took the blast himself. In an instant, Luigi was transformed into a crying, giggling baby.
Bowser, however, didn't stick around to gloat. He grabbed the artifact and made a hasty escape, leaving Mario to attend to his now infantile brother. Mario, distressed and unsure of what to do, knew he needed help.
Without hesitation, Mario rushed to the home of Professor E. Gadd, the genius inventor who specialized in all things strange and supernatural. E. Gadd was the only hope to reverse the baby transformation and save Luigi.
E. Gadd, always up for an adventure, was eager to help. He examined the magical artifact and explained to Mario that reversing the transformation required a special mushroom that could only be found deep within the dangerous Boo Woods. He entrusted Luigi to Mario's care and set out to find the reversal mushrooms.
As the days passed, Mario found himself in a new and unexpected role as a caregiver for his baby brother, Luigi. Baby Luigi would cry and coo, and Mario did his best to soothe him, singing songs and telling stories. It was a different kind of adventure, but one that strengthened the bond between the two brothers.
Meanwhile, E. Gadd navigated the perilous terrain of the Boo Woods, facing off against mischievous Boos and solving perplexing puzzles. Eventually, he managed to gather the reversal mushrooms and return to the brothers.
With a sprinkle of the magical mushroom powder, Luigi transformed back into his usual, lanky self. The brothers embraced and thanked Professor E. Gadd for his help. As for Bowser, he would have to come up with a new plan to capture Princess Peach, because this time, the bond between the Mario brothers had proven stronger than any of his evil schemes.

Greetings folks! “Crystal Dungeon” is a map of DM’s Essentials theme. With this month’s set of maps, we’ve prepared maps that every Dungeon Master should have at their disposal. They’ll be perfect for both one-shots and longer campaigns.
Get this map on our Patreon!
***
The miners have unearthed an old dwarven dungeon! Come and explore its depths!
The silver mines near Potburry have brought a lot of wealth to the region. Nobody expected that the miners would one day also unearth an entrance to what seems to be old rooms of dwarven origin. The first room they glimpse through the opening has a circle of dwarven symbols on the floor – was this design prepared for a summoning ritual or some other nefarious spell?
The foreman refuses to risk a disaster happening to his crew. He closes the mine and calls for brave adventurers to explore the dungeon. You are the one who takes on this quest.
In the first room to the right, there’s water that reaches your knees. It’s stale and old, but otherwise harmless. In the room to the left, two sarcophagi dwell. But are these simple discoveries all there are to the dungeon? As you break the spell circle, four suits of armor from each corner of the room start to move. You will need to fight for your life!
When the battle’s over, the door that leads deeper into the dungeon’s depths opens with a loud sound. Opposite the entrance is a throne room. There’s a fancy chair in the middle. But what really catches your eye are the glowing crystals. What manner of precious treasure are these? The corridor on the left leads into a room with a crystal ball. Do you dare to look inside and discover your fate? Or maybe the crystal ball is just a trick created by some old dwarven inventor and wizard. The last room, on the right, houses what you’ve really been seeking – a treasure chest filled with gold!
With your help the dungeon has been cleared, but the question of what those strange blue glowing crystals are remains. Maybe an old wizard should be summoned to offer expert guidance on them?  The foreman remains doubtful about whether to open the mines again. Is it safe… or not?
Adventure Hooks
The foreman of the Potburry mine hires you to check if the old dwarven dungeon that his people uncovered is safe. He wants to open the mines again but can’t until he knows that no danger is lurking within the opening in the wall. You can take anything you think is worth something as payment for your exploration.
The dwarven scholar Theobold has been researching dwarven ruins in the region. When he hears that an old dungeon has been uncovered by the miners of Potburry, he asks you to investigate it for him. He’s particularly interested in what the dwarves called crystal cultivation. If you come across any samples of blue glowing crystals, you should bring them to him.
The human researcher Hadden is curious about his future. He hears that in the mines near Potburry an old dwarven dungeon has been uncovered which houses a crystal ball. Possibly whoever gazes into the ball sees what their fate will be five years from now – or so the old dwarven texts claim. Hadden hires you to escort him inside the mine so he can check for himself.

Dess’s Dream Kirby JRPG
So, as the subject of what kind of Kirby games would I make/like to see, it’s time to let everyone know...I’ve actually been sitting on a mini Kirby JRPG treatment I wrote up a whole YEAR AGO! Which I'm presenting to you now!
--
If Dess had the time (...which I totally don’t...) I'd make a massive Kirby (Fan) JRPG set in the Dreamy Gear world! It’d include all the various supporting characters/villains as a mix of party members/NPCs. The plot would be divided into chapters: each based on one or more Kirby games, only with a steampunk twist that means it still fits into Dreamy Gear's world...
-
PLOT:
For example, the Kirby's Dream Land/Kirby's Adventure chapter would be about the new company "Nightmare Enterprises" arriving in town and their shiny factory...which is secretly polluting Breezeburg's water supply! Dedede, who learns about this, jumps into action to close down the eateries in town, including Daroach's cafe, to keep the residents from drinking the polluted water, but this leads to claims and fears from the citizens that a heartless President Dedede is "taking all the Breezeburg residents' food away." This sets Kirby (and Waddle Dee) off to investigate the rumors/clear Dedede's name!
(There's also a subplot about electing the new mayor. New industrial super giant Nightmare puts in his bid and Dedede gets involved too. By the end of the chapter, everyone forgets about the election, making Dedede winner by default. But no one officiates his victory - so he becomes "Self-Titled Mayor Dedede.")
Other ideas include the Haltmanns being railway barons trying to buy up Breezeburg to build their new railway through it while chomping up smaller, friendly competitors like Rick and Co.'s Dream Land Express (Pupupu Train.) Kirby and Waddle Dee meet the amnesiac runaway, Gooey, who is being chased by members of "Dark Matter," the nefarious criminal underground, led by Brighton's mysterious crime boss, Zero, who (in disguise) is poised to marry into the powerful Ripple family! "Friendly" newsie, Marx, secretly sabotages the city's power grid (messing with the lights) to gain access to Galatic Nova.
Taranza, a clumsy Nicola Tesla inventor type makes a device that lets people "peer into other dimensions," only to lose his powerful financial backer and partner Sectonia to the device during the initial test and needs your help to find her. Brighton is made host to a big hoity-toity art show ran by the mysterious Drawcia, and Kirby and the gang team up to try and sneak Adeleine's under-appreciated masterpiece into the show. The Jamba Guild, a rival magic guild seeking to increase the spread of “true magic” in this modern world of steam and science, move into town and begin sniffing around the area for a certain legendary artifact, while the apologetic alchemist Magolor begs you to help him find it before they do. (But both parties secretly have something treacherous planned?!) Daroach's identity as a phantom thief is revealed to the public by Nebula, a member of Dark Matter so uncontrollable, he was kicked out of the gang. And now there's a smear campaign saying the noble Meta Knight is hiring his own mercenary force to launch a coup on the city...?!
Of course, the other characters I haven’t written about here would show up too. Also, in good ol’ JRPG style, Alchemist Magolor would be the party’s healer, but instead of costing MP, he costs money.
Post-FL Addendum: And of course, there would be a plot about the Forgotten Land, too. The Beast Pack would be the PERFECT fit for the “Looks Friendly in the Daytime But Actually Suspicious Circus” plot that often shows up in these! Of course, the reveal is that the Beast Pack aren’t the ones to blame...
-
GAMEPLAY
Now, those were just plot bunnies. I know the other question that comes up frequently in the JRPG Yes/No discussion is “Are you really going to make an action-platformer franchise like Kirby into a slow turn-based JRPG?”
As to that, no, I would not give my Kirby JRPG a FF-esque turn-based battle system. What would I model my Kirby game’s gameplay on...?
...Hopefully you’re familiar with the “Mystery Dungeon” series?
For those who’ve never played a Mystery Dungeon game, in brief, gameplay comes in the form of these randomly generated dungeons, as you go floor to floor fighting (in this case) a variety of Popstar (or Dreamy Gear) denizens and collecting both adventuring consumables and exciting, rare treasure. Combat is turn-based and boils down to bumping into enemies (weak enemies can run from you when you’re too tough) which means they're great for more “friendly” worlds as you don't get the feeling you're picking on low-level monsters, as might happen if your party of level 99 adventures get "stopped" on the world map by a random encounter that turns out to be three slimes...
Now, Dreamy Gear Kirby doesn't have Copy Abilities, which really works for us here. Let's just leave Kirby their air puffs and ability to inhale. While air puffs are a normal "A to Attack" move, inhale is special. Mystery Dungeon games are grid-based, after all, and Kirby's "Inhale" allows them to change the position of the enemy on the map by drawing them closer! You can them push them away by puffing air again. Meaning that, though Kirby's damage output is weak, they’re an exceptional tactical fighter, if you know how to use the map!
But we all loved Star Allies because you could bring friends along, and I already mentioned major characters showing up as party members, so let's talk friends in this game! Of course you can take friends with you! Mystery Dungeon games are ideal with a single partner, but COULD support up to 3 teammates, when the game is balanced well (and with appropriate AI.)
And just like Kirby, they would all have little twists on the standard attack and movement patterns that give you some unique strategies based on who you take along. Just some idea crafting but...
Bandanna Waddle Dee, at least until he gets the Steam Punk equivalent of his spear, acts as a cheerleader character, boosting your own abilities. President Dedede can use his hammer for a 2x2 square attack, but it's slow and thus, takes 1-2 turns to wind up for. Meta Knight can use his dimensional cape to move an additional space, attack an enemy at a diagonal, and move back in one turn, like the Knight piece in chess.
Magolor uses Gem Apples to attack. They're a distance weapon, so he can't attack anything directly in front of him, but the explosions affect a large area too. Watch out, because they can hit party members. Good thing he'll heal you! Marx can kick jester balls at enemies, which also have range AND provide knockback, but he doesn't play well with others, because the knockback means you have to corner enemies, else chase them around the map. But he's aggressive and great at keeping foes from sneaking up on you.
Adeleine can draw up food items, an absolutely VITAL resource, but they get scattered across the whole level when she's done, so you do have to balance whether the faraway ones are worth the jog to go collect. When you've got Daroach with you, you'll always have the ability to see hidden paths and shortcuts...but the somewhat self-serving Rat will occasionally break from the group to pick up items on his own, which might be bad if he does it while you're fighting a tough enemy!
Other random ability concepts: Taranza lays trap webs that can keep enemies stuck in one space for running away or cornering them. Elline leaves a colorful trail behind you, so that you can always retrace your steps, and Claycia can use her modeling skills to dig out chunks of wall, allowing you to skip entire passages. Kine has a powerful combine attack with Kirby where he sucks KIRBY up and spits HIM out at enemies. Kine can also use this to carry Kirby safely across spike traps and water blocks!
...Just like that, you could ideally come up with ways to make every Kirby character unique, playable, and fun!
-
A big problem with JRPGs with huge casts is how do you balance the party while keeping everyone relevant. My solution would be to very quickly give you some kind of Steam Punk Communicator/Warp device so that even those who aren't in the party can still comment on what's going on, meaning that if someone has TRULY relevant dialogue, they won't be left out.
That said, you could also use the device to swap party members between floors. Maybe every 5 floors? Again, for party balance, in order to handle the fact that you never have to be exhausted when you have a stable of dozens of party members on hand, we include a mechanic that is both key to Kirby AND Mystery Dungeons. Eating food items!
Instead of relying too much on health and HP (which is still there, of course) a big concern is hunger. The characters (especially Kirby) get hungry while dungeoneering and you have to collect and manage food items to keep everyone fed. This means you can't just cycle through your party members when your HP gets low because if everyone's hunger is low, they'll fall just as fast. (Though it MIGHT be enough to get you to a major floor, someplace where you can swap Adeleine in, or back to the surface, if you need.)
So, there you go! That’s how I would make a Kirby JRPG!
...
...
...Does anyone (...or several dozen people...) know how to use Unity or Godot or can maybe program a Mystery Dungeon-clone in RPG Maker and have a lot of time on their hands...? ...Asking for a friend...

I don't talk about my Lupin III OC Kahlia that much, but screw it, some things about my girl.
She's half Hawaiian/half Japanese
Knows about Five to Six languages, only fluent in four.
About between the ages of 30-31
A jazz/swing singer (was working on becoming one and making an album out of songs she wrote before having to become a thief. later on she is able to realize her original dream.)
A skilled boxer (her uncle on her mom's side was a famous boxer who taught all his nephews and niece how to box, Kahlia has a bit of a temper and a lot of energy/impulsive behavior and he wanted her focusing it on something else instead of getting into fights)
Has 4 brothers and one sister (she's the Forth oldest)
Had a friend who was in the criminal scene before she became a thief, helped her disappear after her cousin was murdered and she was framed for his death over her family vault.
Met Lupin after he stole the first clue to her family treasure. Hated his ass and wanted to strangle him lmao. (still working off the idea)
Was a normal person 4 years prior to becoming a thief to try and get her family treasure.
When she was 16 years old her dad died due to cancer, and when she was 13 before that she inherited from him her grandmother's butterfly necklace that happened to be the first half of a key to the "family vault."
Her great grandfather was a man who was an inventor and his partner was a tech guy, they 'created' a clean alternative power in Japan around the time Electricity was being introduced throughout the country in the early 1900s that ended up being too unstable and causing people's deaths. Prior to the stain on the family, he got pretty wealthy selling a lot of his inventions, hoarded everything inside a vault far from Japan along with the secret to his unstable alternative energy that caused the death of a couple dozen people. Her family name was dragged through the mud for a while, that's why some of them fled to Hawaii after her great grandfather took his life post her grandmother dying in an accident.
She became a criminal and disappeared because of a woman who is the great granddaughter in law to her great grandfather's partner. (she wants the alternative power for nefarious purposes, along with any money inside of the vault. killed her cousin in front of her.)
She's big afraid of heights. (will only tackle her fears if someone is in danger, but it ain't ever going away)
A huge lush (girl can pound beers back like no tomorrow.)
Can be too emotional sometimes (can get hotheaded and is stubborn to boot)
Has a photographic memory
Genderfluid (goes by Lio/Lion when masc presenting)
also Bisexual
Huge flirt with women, has gotten her in trouble before lmao. She likes pretty ladies.
Has a black and white tuxedo cat named Jiji (Lupin took the opportunity as soon as finding out the cats name to joke to Jigen about it and made a passing thought of stealing her cat from her partly because of the name and her cat took to him instantly)
Actually really close to her family, both on her mother and dad's side. Very protective of her own. Hurt her a lot she couldn't save her older cousin and had to cut ties with everyone when she had to disappear.
Two years prior to meeting Lupin, she sought out Fujiko's help to becoming a better thief to steal the clues to her family treasure her great grandfather left as a hidden treasure hunt for his own family to decipher across Japan and part of Europe. She promised Fujiko a great chunk of her family vault if she could help her, and Fujiko agreed. She helped hone Kahlia's skills and was making a secret plan of eventually coaxing Lupin into their plan because she knows he's crazy good at this kind of stuff and while she's impressed at how fast learned Lia was, she thought she was too green to be able to handle the other parts of how this would probably play out. (she was right Kahlia would've gotten her shit rocked, she's a fast learner but she's definitely not as smart as Fujiko or Lupin.)
Kahlia was definitely annoyed with her at first when she realized Fujiko told Lupin about a family treasure and the first clue but forgave her because she trusted Fujiko/pretty lady (Kahlia is a useless bisexual lmao. She's mostly into women and only has like 2 kinds of men she likes)
I've mentioned her temper before, it gets her in trouble a lot. She'll just kind of charge into a problem and think the way to solve it is punching it. Works half the time, other half the time someone with a more level head has to stop her.
Ends up continuing being a thief even after her first big ass heist/adventure with Lupin and her name is cleared of her cousin's death thanks to Zenigata (and Lupin finding out the woman who murdered the cousin's business partner was keeping dirt and evidence on her in case he ever wanted to take over the company they ran together fully, Lupin gave all the dirt to Zenigata to sort out.). She goes on a lull for a year after parting ways with the Lupin gang, not expecting to see any of them except for Fujiko because her and Fujiko got close when Fujiko was training her for two years and they like having lunch together. She gets antsy after almost a full year and misses the thrill of being a thief surprisingly and dresses up as Lion to steal occasionally. She doesn't really need any money from it, she just loves the adrenaline and the challenge.
Meets Lupin again after that year when he surprisingly approaches her with a job he needs her skillset for (he was on the fence about it because he figured she would go back to a normal life after their team up with her family treasure, but he figures out some thefts in New York where she lived was her MO and is like fuck it I'm desperate I need help.). After hearing what he needed from her she agreed and they both went to her criminal bestie (the one who helped her disappear before and even introduced her to Fujiko), Charlie (he's a drag queen too whose stage persona is Tammy Guhn. He thought it would be funny because he's actually a mob boss outside of his front of owning a drag club.) who has a pretty good ear to the underground and can help Lupin with his first lead and his and Kahlia's second partnership together.
Grew up in Hawaii most of her life, left it after college to live in New York for a change of pace. Was pretty dirt poor prior to becoming a thief.
Used to go to Japan sometimes during the summer growing up and that's why she's close to the Japanese side of her family and is fluent in Japanese.
Took a bullet for Lupin from one of the mercenaries that were after her for her half of the family key during her family vault heist. They wanted to kill Lupin to get him out of the picture because him and his gang were annoying their boss with helping Lia out. Because they knew him and the others were far more competent that Kahlia could be at this. (she didn't wanna watch someone die again in front of her like with her cousin and just kind of acted on impulse.)
Has a cool ass ugly scar tho on her shoulder now because of it. Her and Lupin became bros after that.
They both are not allowed to be left alone because Kahlia encourages Lupin's unhinged impulsive side and he does the same to her. Stupid stuff happens when they are left to their own devices.
She's basically a brawny girl with a big heart and hot head that likes beer lmao. And jazz.
Her favorite singer is Billie Holiday
Definitely dated Fujiko
Lupin is not usually her type of man, she's more into older men with dad bods and are beefy. Little freak weaseled his way into her heart because he makes her laugh and seeing this dangerous, violent criminal's soft side got her ass. When she realized she liked him she went GOD DAMMIT because she thought he was an insufferable little creep when she met him haha.

Prompt 8: Shed
Any that would find fault with Fen's swift retreat lacked the knowledge of what sort of forgotten creatures lurked within the ancient bogs of the Shroud. Untouched for generations, perhaps longer, it was inevitable one would encounter a beast that they simply had not dealt with before. And in this particular case, the engineer was certain she had never even heard whispered tale of it.
There was something inherently intimidating about a monster so utterly unknown. A lingering question at the back of one's mind if it had never encountered Spoken before, or simply had never left behind one to spread its tale. Only the races of men ever cared about spreading word of their exploits, fighting battles through word and reputation before a fight ever came.
The Lohro could well understand the preferences for autonomy. Though not so enthusiastically when pursued by the unknown.
Slipping through paths she knew well, Fen ducked and bounded, knowing just how those obstacles lay and any potential traps her kin may have left along the path. Ones that the unwelcome stalker merely blundered through without breaking stride. It was clear that the snares and pitfalls were not made for something of its size, or make.
An interesting make at that, something that the inventive mind of the Keeper could not simply ignore. In some ways it resembled some oversized, spiky rodent. Long, sharp spines that clattered against each other like wooden stakes emerging from a central mass she was not at leisure to investigate more closely. Not when the thing was twice her own size, and several times the weight if one could judge by the way it pushed over trees, and crushed fallen logs to splinters beneath heavy steps.
Beneath that clattering, the sound of grinding - undoubtedly some sort of natural armor the creature possessed, likely of the same make as its organic armaments.
Squeezing through the mouth of a narrow cave, the miqo'te paused for breath as the mystery stopped just shy of the entryway itself. Far too large to follow, which was just as well considering Fen carried no torch. While scent and dim moonlight were enough to navigate Shroud nights, even familiar caves were dangerous to navigate with only the meager phosphorescent plant life to vaguely light the way.
Musing over the situation, she ignored the rattling of the creature as she scented the damp air of the cavern for signs of any unseen guests that may have taken up residence since the last visit. There was barely enough time to even content herself before the tone of that rattle changed, drawing the huntress' eyes.
The creature seemed to bulge at where she guessed head or shoulders must rest, before a shivering motion sent those protrusions dancing against each other. Form compacting in the wake of it like the best were working vast lungfuls of air through itself, before they rippled down to the base of its form. A sight that the inventor had never seen before, and thus did not like by any stretch.
Denizens of the forest should operate by a set standard of known behavior!
It wasn't until the first of those spines separated that it became clear just what the pursuer was attempting. A growing pile of long, naturally-formed spears upon the muddy earth. There was a glimpse of those theorized plates beneath as more of its body revealed itself, until even those began to drop away. The crown of the creature rose, extending like the fleshy bits of a mollusk, with significantly more hands than any person Fen had ever known wriggling through the entryway to slap wetly against the rocky walls and ceiling. Tugging itself closer, pulling harder to pass that obstacle.
While its progress was far from imposing, there was no missing the way that hardening shell about its bared limbs was so swiftly taking form. Still malleable in the moment as it moved, pulling itself further as it sloughed off its protective, though clearly renewable, layers in pursuit of her. Undoubtedly for reasons most nefarious, given its ardent pursuit. If it weren't in search of a meal, she would eat her own gloves. The metal ones.
Though observation was tempting, it would be foolish to simply allow that thing to draw any closer when there was still a good deal of cave to flee through. Better to get a head start, rather than make stupid decisions simply to sate idle curiousity. Particularly when it was clear that pace of it ripping itself from its own shell was only growing faster and the unpleasant sucking sound of its own separation filled the cave.
Motion and contemplation were in order. Specifically on just how to kill it, and what it may taste like, if it proved as stubborn a hunter as Keepers were themselves.
