It has occurred to Yoojin- his bonghwang couldn’t be the only one. At the very least, it couldn’t have been back then. After all, however much shrouded in mystery and allure, a bonghwang might be, however much the myths may glorify it, is still A BIRD. Birds are hatched from eggs; it takes more than one to make an egg. Still, to find an individual in a very similar boat to his own is…unexpected to say the least.

Even if it is a millennium later.

Eyes with the reflection of a rainbow shimmering through watch their mirror. He’s…tall. A grown man in comparison to the youthful body Yoojin has been frozen in. He seems more on the innocent side too. Optimistic might be the better word- not yet jaded. Or maybe Yong has already gone through that crisis. Even in the scope of one thousand years, two hundred and fifty years is a long time to be alive.

“You could say that, Mister. Haha, you remembering makes me feel pretty OLD. I can’t even remember how old I am.” That’s a lie, but there’s no need to actually give an answer is there? Yoojin peers at the wrist presented to him. The burn scar is crisp around Yong’s wrist and it doesn’t seem like he’s wearing any other bracelets…not like the mala beads on Yoojin’s wrist.

He knew it. His other form…well, it wouldn’t have been the work of a bonghwang. Yoojin tilts his head though. “How I got my immortality? Well you see-“

It had been sudden just like the way Yong described his own. Sudden, with the sound of BELL accompanying the sound of a bird’s cry. It’s not a memory Yoojin likes to remember- he forces the smile. “Well, it’s been so long so I kinda…forgot.” He laughs, scratching the back of his head. “It’s not like we can remember everything in the face of immortality right? But that bonghwang- did they ever come to you in their human form?”

The fact that Yuan was in Lili's room when Qian found the ultrasound meant that Lili asked for help from her brother to protect her boyfriend from...her brother.

And the fact that she knew that their best chance to convince Qian and make sure that he doesn't kill San Pang is to get Yuan involved. To tell Qian on their terms before he can find out for himself. Since it didn't go to well when Qian found out about their relationship and Yuan just sat there and did nothing (god bless him that's still my favorite scene). Qian was mad for a looooong time after finding out about their relationship.

Getting Yuan involved and also setting it up so Qian finds out while they're all in a relatively safe space but together while still telling him and not keeping things from him meant that Qian didn't stay angry for long. It also helped because as much as Yuan loves Qian romantically, he loves Lili as his sister. He is also protective of her but he's much more reasonable about it because he doesn't have the same family trauma that Qian has. Yuan can help smooth things over not just because Qian loves him and listens to him but because Yuan loves Lili and sees what makes her happy and wants the best for her.

This show is so good and I love the romance of it all but I just had to say something about how much I loved the siblingship between Yuan and Lili. Lili let Yuan into that home and in doing so gave herself something more than just a brother. She gave herself a friend that would help when she needed help and would love and support both her and Qian unconditionally.
