like if i had a nickle for every time kiernan shipka was cast in a movie where she and her older brother are locked up and hidden away from the rest of the world by an abusive parent, making it so that the only people they have in the whole world is each other, and their guardian thinks they're doing something untoward together, and it only serves to drive them closer together, and the whole thing ends with her and her older brother escaping from the abusive guardian together (and eventually burning their house down), i'd have two nickles. which is not a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.
