Vecna’s plan requiring Mike to leave for California means nothing. The number 1 following Mike cryptically at the airport means nothing. Them barely giving us Mike’s perspective the last two seasons (despite him being the original protagonist) means nothing and it isn’t setting up his POV to be revealed in s5 bc the entire audience is completely comfortable with where Mike stands as a character in regards to his deeper feelings/motives. No confusion there so no need to address that. Mike saying How will I survive a whole week without you guys at the start of s4 wasn't foreshadowing his fate at the end of said week. Mike standing in front of exit signs 3+ times in s4 is probably just a coincidence. Mike being associated with gaping mouths in multiple moments spanning the entire series, even going back to his very first line on the show, means nothing at all. Nancy’s vision about her family (Mike) dying was mentioned at the end of s4, but it didn’t happen so probably won’t ever happen, even though there’s still another season left set directly after the events of s4. Will calling Mike the heart and how without heart they’d all fall apart, was not in any shape form foreshadowing something happening to Mike and them all falling apart, bc Mike is definitely just a prop and everything in relation to his story only holds meaning on the surface or for other characters arcs and couldn’t possibly be hinting at something deeper that’s being saved as one of the many surprises for the last season.

Have my last final *Monday (edit). I will also be having my very last day of traditional college academic teaching before being exploited by my college for another year to go to different locations to “get work experience” whilst paying far too much. But overall, no more exams for me anymore!!! Freedom!!!!!! (Except when I have to take the national and state board exam, but hey, it’s not college).
Can finally end this god damn nightmare of a semester, hoooooooooooooooboy.

ok i had the show just playing on the tv during my day off a bit ago while i was Choring About. and im thinking so hard about maximus again.
that scene where he's confronting tibor and he's like "leaving isn't the right word, because that implies a goodbye. you abandoned me."?
his nightmare about the family returning and knowing what he's done, but bb's face is hidden by the glare of the sun, his powers and true person that abstract to max that his subconcious can't even put his face on it? his final scene with medusa where she apologizes for not being there but he completely rejects her and says that with her head shaved, she knew exactly how he felt all those years?
the confession scene with bb? "we are brothers. thats why you should know the truth." the fact that he's so tearing up and paired with the nightmare scene, its so obvious he does blame himself for their deaths, but he just lays into bb, because he wants him to kill him? the fact that when he does finally apologize, when he does finally realize he screwed up, it's too late, it's years too late, and nobody was going to come back for him?
does he ever find out gorgon was revived? i dont think they shared a scene post like,,, episode two's phone call. would seeing what a second terrigenisis did to gorgon have changed his mind at all? would he still insist on it, even with the consequences looking him straight in the face? was there absolutely anything or anyone that could have convinced him he was going to destroy everything he loved for the chance at powers?
he's SUCH a compelling character in this version, i love how fucked up and angry he is, i love how multiple people try to save him but he's so convinced he's been abandoned that they end up doing the exact thing he was so scared of in the first place. it's so unbelievably sad but it's also so interesting to watch unfold!!! prince blorbo my absolute beloved 🥺

what do you think about the theory that eddie actually ends up getting possessed by vecna and becomes one of his pawns?🤔
I think that would be kinda crazy but in a way it would kinda be interesting cause Eddie is friends with Dustin and then by association Eddie is basically in the friend group and able to"keep an eye on" El so to speak. I really wouldn't want to see Eddie evil, but uhm, I'll take what I can get🌝
Also another random thought is that Eddie kind of ended up being a big brother to Dustin and I can't help but wonder if maybe Max had joined them for Hellfire Club, maybe Eddie could have been a big brother to her too (a better replacement to Billy)
