So at this point I'm just assuming that I was cursed to have something ruin my Christmas.

Fair warning folks, the following is me describing the various ways the universe tried to ruin my week/Christmas. It's very whiney, and some of it might be tmi.

First my colonoscophy was scheduled for a few days after Christmas, and they want me to go on a special diet for like a week beforehand with no fruit no vegetables, ect, a liquid diet for two days, and a two day "cleanout". I canceled that, rescheduled it for next month, problem solved, Christmas has been saved.

Then I was worried I'd have my period on Christmas and be miserable the whole time. Bam, it came a week early, crisis averted.

I was depressed I didn't have a real tree, and didn't want to use the tiny fake one, went to the grocery store for supplies, stopped on the way home at home depot, got a live tree in a pot (more of an evergreen bush houseplant, but I like it) I was even feeling so motivated that I decorated that and the tiny fake tree.

I was sad I wasn't going to get to watch a dog open presents this year since my dog died last year, I wrapped my cats present in the box my herbal tea came in, with the top taken off, in tissue paper with little holes in it and put catnip and treats inside. Then it turned out that a relative with a dog is going to visit on Christmas, so I do get to see a dog.

And finally, the one thing I couldn't dodge. A fucking neck injury. Now I can't move my neck, it hurts like heck, and there's nothing I can do about it. I just hope it's just a pulled muscle and not something worse.

On the bright side, I'll be allowed to eat Christmas dinner, assuming that it gets cooked when I can't move my head without pain, thus making me useless in the kitchen. As opposed to making the meal and having to watch everyone eat the blueberry coffee cake, cookies, French cut green beans, peas, mashed potatoes, rolls, squash, and brownies, all the while the only part of it I'm actually allowed to eat is the fucking spiral ham. I do still have to somehow make most of those things though.

Motherfucker threw a batarang which is basically a knife boomerang.

Threw it at the wall directly behind Jason at his shoulder neck.

... The fuck did he think it was going to do? Get stuck into a wall? Than why would he throw it?

It was going to bounce off and cut through Jason's neck.

The Joker, the fucker Joker congratulations him for his trick shot.

He knew what he was doing.

And it's fucked.

Which is probably why the Under the Red Hood movie changed it to Bruce throwing the knife into Jason's gun.

So it hurt his hand and not his neck.

This is why he's pissed at you man, you didn't just choose the Joker.

You decided your son deserves death more than his murderer does.

No wonder Jason has issues.

And incase anyone thinks thats just a one time note... Nope.

Bruce's said to Jason, multiple times he should've stayed dead.

Hell in the current run, Batman 137 Bruce says to Jason, while attacking him and all of his children.

"If you think one death is fine if it stops more death. Then shouldn't I kill you?!"

It's one thing to say this is completely out of character for him to do.

Because it is and I very much agree with you there.

This is the same Bruce who was on a war path to kill the Joker but because at the time he had immunity.

From being the UN govenor of Iran... I... Don't ask.

The UN had to send Superman to talk Bruce down lest a war broke out.

And even than Bruce crashed the hellicopter the Joker was on hoping it would kill him.

That Bruce would never have done that to Jason, especially knowing how lethal if could have been.

This is the Bruce who when KGBeast shot Dick Grayson in the head.

And we got... Ric...

Bruce tracked down KGBeast, beat him the fuck out of him.

Broke his neck just enough to paralyse him.

And left him in the middle of nowhere.

In the snow.

And when KGBeast is like hey if you help me.. I'll tell you who hired me to kill your boy.

Bruce says "I've got a bullet in my arm and a body of hurt. There's a 3000 click walk ahead of me. Through nothing but snow and ice."

Dramatically spits blood on the white snow.

"I'm the World's Greatest Detective. I'll find out who hired you and I will break them too. You can get your own damn help."

Also not the first time Bruce has tried to "not kill" KGBeast.

But that's beside the point.

He did that for Dick who while turned into the worst thing imaginable, was alive.

And you're telling me he wouldn't do the same for Jason?

Bullshit.

Man I miss when the thing was don't fuck with Batman's kids cos he'll fuck you up.

Instead of oh dear god Bruce stop hurting your damn kids.

If your version of Batman doesn't love his kids. Wouldn't do anything and everything for them.

Than he's not Batman.

So I've either pulled a muscle or broke my neck. here's hoping its just a muscle pull. I get headaches and sometimes I do a weird thing where I shake/tremble my head and then it feels better, but this time I felt/heard a snap/crack. Now I can't move my head/neck without pain and my heads stuck at an odd angle. I took pain medication and put heat on it and I've regained some movement but not all. My mom thinks it's a pulled muscle.

This sucks. Also, auto correct thinks me having a neck injury is "socks", not that it sucks.

This is a really strange casualty of ao3 being down, since if ao3 wasn't down I wouldn't have been bored and tempted to shake my head like that.

Oh isn't this unfortunate.

Here's your summary of events btw. This is canon in the au but because it's already happened I don't have to explain it perfectly:

Dirk gets his neck scar because when the Striders were grouped up in the beginning with a few strangers they got attacked by a small horde. Hal got scratched across his back via a hunter, but due to the Striders being some of the people that are immune, he was fine after they patched up the injury. The group wanted to abandon Hal but Dave wouldn't let them, having mostly convince them to not do anything unless Hal showed signs of being sick. If he did Dave would and his sons would leave.

Despite showing no signs of illness someone from the group was overly paranoid, most likely infected as well but probably not due to Hal, and tried to murder Hal in his sleep. They fucked up though because instead of the partially deaf brother that they plan to do in, they had picked the wrong twin and dirk woke up in time to defend himself and yell out for help. Dave stops the person but not before they get a slice across Dirk's neck. Dirk is fine, got the skin and didn't actually pierce his windpipe of damage his arteries.

Dirk couldn't talk for a while, up to this point he's fully healed with no damage to his voice but chooses to stay mostly quiet.

And Hal wears the bandana around his neck and sleeps with it covered for Dirk as a way to show his neck is somewhat protected.

And that's what you missed on glee.
