I apologize for not being active to speak up this week during the strike like I've tried to be in the past. I'm not as active on Tumblr as I am on Twitter so it slipped my mind to be posting here about things since I usually don't post here in general.
I decided I'd make a post sharing different ways that you can help the people of Gaza, including ways to do so without donating to the families in need directly. This list includes options that are possible without money along with things that you can give money to to help. Even if you can't give money, you CAN spread the word for all of these things for free and while helping. Your voice matters.

You may have heard of Macklemore's new song HIND'S HALL, written about the current atrocities happening to the people in Gaza and in support of the students protesting, but did you know that the money that comes from streaming the song is going to UNRWA? You can stream this song for free and all the proceeds will be going to UNRWA (which, by the way, you can donate to directly: HERE).
I've heard from many comments and posts that the streams only count on Spotify if 1.) It is not completely muted, and 2.) There's a song (or two) played in between. This way Spotify will count each stream as a stream towards the song and allow for Macklemore to donate the proceeds.

Speaking of creators, creators on TikTok have made it their goal to donate funds made by you watching their videos, listening to their sounds, etc. Search on TikTok to find these videos, these creators, these sounds, and interact as much as possible. You can do this by especially going through the Pass The Hat Hashtag and helping those who are speaking up about specific families in need.

Speaking of Pass The Hat, I will link to a video by a creator on TikTok named Erin who has started this wonderful initiative. Basically, this initiative is being used to have TikTok and Instagram creators 'adopt a family' in Gaza so that they can speak up for that family and get as many donations as possible. While you may not be able to donate, going through the videos made by people that are a part of this initiative and watching them, interacting with them, and focusing on them, will allow their videos to be pushed to people who may be able to help more than you can. And that alone is life changing.

While Erin is amazing for doing what she's done here, she has also made sure to amplify the voices of Operation Olive Branch and made sure to tell everyone that Operation Olive Branch, a Grassroots movement to organize & promote the safety and wellbeing of families in Palestine, was the operation to truly kickstart all of this. Operation Olive Branch has a TikTok account, which I will be linking, along with a cohesive google spreadsheet of families that are in need.
The spreadsheet has hundreds of families that are in need and includes links to their fundraisers, their goals, the names and ages of the family, and social media links. Each family is put into their own category such as Medical/Disabled, Mutual Aid, Gazan Heroes, etc. Along with a Master list of all of them. The main navigation page has many different recourses and links as well.

Care for Gaza is, in their own words, a Non-Governmental, Non-Profit charity in aid of helping the needy families of Palestine. Care For Gaza is a non-profit helping the people in Gaza survive day by day by supplying food, hygiene products, etc. to the people in Gaza with little to nothing. the dream smp journey: attempting to make the lore of the dream smp more accessible.
so back when i first wanted to get into the dream smp i had absolutely no idea where to start. i asked some people and they told me pretty much “look up dream smp + [insert youtuber name] and start there” and so i did, but i quickly came to realize how much i was missing from the story by not seeing all the different points of view.
so i decided to make my own playlist.
it was just for myself at first, but as i got more obsessed with the story, i also gave the link to some friends of mine so they could have the full experience, and they loved it. so i kept updating it.
my goal was to try and make a capsule of the entirety of the lore on the dream smp across almost every single POV, because while i do appreciate those who make recap videos, they always miss something and it’s usually with peoples’ POV who aren’t considered to be “main characters” which sucks because one of my favorite things about the dream smp was how everyone was their own main character with their own individual storyline you could get invested in.
i’ve seen every single video in the playlist, and did my absolute best to discern what should be included and what didn’t need to be.
for instance, while i personally enjoyed streams where they’d just goof off, this is a lore-centric playist so i didn’t include all of them unless one of the jokes or such gets mentioned/becomes important later on. or if there is a lore event happening but two people have almost identical streams to one another then i decided between the two of them which one to keep. or if the cc themself made an edited version of their experience, i would decide whether to go with that or keep the original vod
it’s far from perfect. i tried to keep up with it as long as i could I STILL HAVE VIDEOS IN MY WATCH LATER THAT I PLANNED TO ADD but simply put while the dream smp storyline got longer and longer it became harder to keep up with. i watched pretty much all the streams when they happened but failed to update the playlist accordingly so right now it has almost everything up until ”Hitting on 16.”
i always wanted to finish it before i posted it, but i’ve been seeing people talk about how they miss the experience of watching the dream smp and while i obviously can’t provide the full interactive experience that the dream smp offered as it came out, i knew i couldn’t just keep this in my back pocket and thought i could at least offer a good chunk of the experience for you guys to still be able to keep!
here’s the playlist, spanning over 300 videos.
there’s also a semi-canon playlist (not nearly as thorough) for events that get mentioned by the cc’s a lot or are just cool to have and i wanted to include them somewhere so here it is also!!
to go along with it i also made a masterpost (can you tell i love making lists) which is what every single video on the playlist is supposed to be (and was last i checked, but videos get taken down every so often so there might be a couple missing here and there).
i hope to update this one day and have it fully finished, but with my schedule (full-time college student babyyyy) and simply the hundreds of hours of content i’d need to sift through it just seems impossible (and frankly just really intimidating) to challenge alone right now. so i also wanted to give this to the community to maybe be able to do what i couldn’t!
my hope with this is that if someone in a year or two (or whenever really) is interested in the dream smp they won’t have to sit through recap videos and instead can watch the real thing in a single playlist connected to the doc. my dream is for the masterpost and the playlist to go hand-in-hand, being like a guide people can follow that would also link to other moments and lore that is saved but just not avaliable on youtube, so we don’t have all these moments just lost to time.
i want to make this collaborative, i’m hoping this will maybe spark others to share what videos/moments they have saved and stored with each other for the dream smp and maybe together we could complete this thing somehow!! make the playlist and masterpost i dreamed of (the one right now is scuffed, but at least it’s something). the dream smp is one of my absolute favorite pieces of media out there and i want to share this with people but (as you can probably tell) i have no idea what i’m doing!! any step to help make the story more readily accessible is a good one, though!
i know i’ve missed things but i’ve done my best. and while not the perfectly polished thing i hoped it would be when i sent it out to the world maybe it could be a good building block for the community to use. so please share this!! reblog it!! all that jazz!! i want this to be for everyone!!

Yoongi had left already. He took his things and some extra thumb drives back to his own studio for some finishing touches as you and Yuki were left alone in your apartment.
With Yuki having to travel between races, home, and every once in a while out to Korea to also try and meet with you and Yoongi. He was nodding off in the seat across from you.
Even with all of that, and in spite of his personal training getting on him for being up a lot, he still performed well in the sport. His most recent race being a masterclass filled with overtakes and him personally dragging his car into points.
You let him sleep. You cleaned around him.
Taking dishes from the dinner that Yuki offered to cook for the three of you. The best dried tomato spaghetti you’d ever had, with some garlic bread from a small Italian place you didn’t know existed. The two of you had found it while out on a walk in one of the recent meetings.
Yuki stirred awake as you finished up. He stared, his eyes adjusting, “I would’ve helped” he said. His voice cracked from the short but still deep sleep.
“Get your sleep,” you shook your head, “we’re getting the music video done this month so you need the rest.”
The time you got to spend with Yuki almost became too much. Not in that you would start arguing or anything. More so that you became close. Close enough that you couldn’t stand together for long without laughing.
At one point in teaching the two of you the song’s choreography, your loving and always gentle choreographer Seo Chanyeol had to separate you. Yuki became a test to that man’s patience like none other.
Never raising his voice, Chanyeol looked towards Yuki as his child. A quick glare to shut him up momentarily. Not letting the eye contact linger before turning away to still his own laughter.
After promo, after practices, after it all. When everything is said and done, your Tik Toks and YouTube videos are filmed, Yuki still has to go back to work. After a month that should have given him rest and relaxation, he’s off and putting himself all into his career. The thing he wants more than anything.
The two of you stand, that airport in Seoul loud around you. Your managers and bodyguards surrounding the two of you. You’re dressed like one of them. Escorting Yuki to the airport with fans crowding him as if he were one of you.
You squeeze his hand in a moment. You don’t leave a lingering touch, for fear that some eagle eyed and trigger happy fan with a camera might spot it. No doubt that small interaction could lead to more.
He separates from the group of you, and into his own group comprised of his own managers, social media personnel, and his personal trainer.
The distance that grows between you isn’t a problem. With the amount of money and resources between the two of you, a ticket from Seoul to Bahrain, or Italy, or wherever the sport takes Yuki means nothing.
It’s the reputation that comes with it. You’ve already had your fair share of dating scandals. And while you’re not banned from dating, what’s the point?
The two of you leave in your separate directions. Not a true goodbye between you. It’ll never be goodbye. But without the promise of privacy, it feels eerily final. Just as it did the last time.
You hope he feels the same. He’d said he did, one night after filming that first video. And he’s come back, with a promise of visiting again. An invite to any race weekend you’d like.
Say the words and he’ll send whoever he has to.
It’s not safe. A relationship for you will never be as safe or secure as if you’d like.

The Nuzi Hate Is Ridiculous And Just Saddening/Defending Nuzi.
Alright, so...let me just start off saying that this'll be the last time I'm going to discuss anything drama related, especially what goes on in the Murder Drones Community. Honestly, at least over here on Tumblr, the fandom isn't that bad and awful and is not that much of a trainwreck as it is over on the toxic bird site, but this is something that just NEEDS to be discussed in general. This situation and just the insane amount of drama and fighting that's been happening with the MD fandom lately has honestly been tiring and has taken a toll on me. it honestly has, if I'm gonna be honest, it's been draining and I just don't wanna talk and deal with this anymore. I just wanna move on from this situation and continue obsessing over and watching my favorite robot show and not deal with any of this unnecessary and childish drama anymore!
Anyways, for those who don't know, there's been a lot of arguing and fighting in the Murder Drones fandom as of lately, at least on over on Twitter, but it's been happening over on things like Tik Tok, even YouTube and it isn't uncommon exactly, but it is something that's gotten worse in as the show continues to grow in popularity. The main discussion and arguments when it comes to shipping in the Murder Drones fandom are between Envy (N X V) and Nuzi (N X Uzi) there's other ships in the fandom people like, but Envy and Nuzi are two of the most popular ones and the ones who are often the topics when it comes to shipping wars. I've already discussed and talked about the craziness and drama that's been happening with the fandom with some fans harassing and going after the VA's, people getting on them for their opinions, trying to switch things around to fulfill their egos, ect. But, the main thing I'm going to be talking about with today's topic is Nuzi and the amount of unnecessary hate it's gotten and how I think it's unfair, because it's seriously gotten worse and worse. And if you don't know what the ship Nuzi is and aren't very familiar with the ship or MD itself as a whole, basically, Nuzi is the pairing between Serial Designation N and Uzi Doorman from Murder Drones, who are two of our main characters in the show. Now, people have been shipping these two since the pilot and have enjoyed their interactions and at first in the beginning of the show it seems the show was hinting at the two being just good friends but as time went on, the show started to develop and explore the two and things started to change and the show has started hinting at both N and Uzi starting an eventual romance down the line and hinting at some romantic tension going between them. Now with Uzi, it seems she's definitely starting to fall in love with N and gaining feelings for him, but she seems to downside her crush on him and it's pretty one-sided since meanwhile with N and his side of things, he seems clueless and isn't aware of Uzi's feelings and it seems that he only sees Uzi as a friend and nothing more beyond that and the show hasn't hinted on how N feels about Uzi right now..of course, it's too early to tell for where the relationship between these two will go and it's too early to have N and Uzi fall in love and start an relationship but there is potential and room for them to start a relationship eventually, there's room to dive more into their dynamic and relationship and potential to have a good romance between the two.
Now, as I've stated..Nuzi has gotten an extreme amount of hate lately, some misinformation and rumors have been spread around in the fandom to the point it's caused people to start attacking others who are fans/love the ship and started going after and harassing fans who make fanart of the two, anits and especially diehard shippers of both Envy and Thuzi, (but it's mostly Envy shippers) keep on throwing around and saying the excuses on how Nuzi is a "P*oship" and how N is an adult and Uzi is a minor and how they're siblings, or say how, "Uzi has a crush on Thad!" "N has a crush on V and even admitted it!!" And they'll just use EVERY excuse in the book..they'll turn shit around and do whatever they can to make people feel bad and shitty for simply even adoring and liking Nuzi and finding it cute, hell it's even gotten to the point where some fans started going after others for liking other ships in the fandom like Vizzy/Pink Lemonade, and just any ships involving WD X DD. I'm not kidding, I've seen fans and others argue that Nuzi wouldn't work out because both N and Uzi are different robot species and how on N has killed and slaughtered Uzi's people. Apparently because both N and Uzi can't make a good pairing because they're apparently, "boring and uninteresting" and one is a WD and the other is a DD, but because both V and N are DD's and because they knew each other in the past that automatically means something..? Seriously?? I'm not joking when I say some of these fans are downright ridiculous and childish, they'll do whatever they can to stop people from liking ships like Nuzi and shame people for even enjoying it and make childish hate posts on said ship constantly, and it's overall just so hurtful and ridiculous, Dude. And it's people like them that make this fandom look awful and downright toxic, it's people like them that make others think that everyone in the fandom is like this when that's far from the truth!
I'm honestly really sick and tired of how this fandom mistreats and bullies other people just for simply liking different ships, people have stated that they feel hurt and feel like they can't like certain ships without them being attacked and shitted on, they feel like they can't like something they enjoy without others dragging them down and being hated on. It's ridiculous how some of these fans see Nuzi as the most awful and horrendous ever made and it needs to be forgotten forever. It's ridiculous and laughable how some of these people point out and rant on how much they hate Nuzi, only to make it the only thing they talk about and mention 24/7, some of these people literally just whine and complain about how they're not a fan of said ship. I mean, it's totally fine and okay to not like certain ships and you don't have to love and enjoy the same things as others do, but you don't need to make hate posts all the time and bash others for finding comfort and liking the ship they like, you don't need to make rants 24/7 on how you despite said ship..it just makes you look so damn childish and just unbearable, like okay..you're not a fan of certain ships, okay? JUST MOVE ON!! WE GET IT, just stop harassing and making us feel like shit and horrible people, stop making us feel terrible for loving Nuzi, just move on and just don't interact with us if it bothers some of you so damn much. I mean, it's gotten so bad that some have left the MD fandom because of the toxicity and childish behavior from some of these fans. Just please stop and be nice to one another, it's not right how some of you will harass and do whatever you can to make people feel shitty for enjoying what they love and trying to paint them out as these awful individuals. Like seriously, I just cannot stand shipping wars and I really despise them, shipping wars are such a waste of time and are just an excuse to harass and cause unnecessary drama and it just results with people getting hurt. And I've said this many times before and I'm gonna say it again, shipping shouldn't be the ONLY thing to focus on when watching and getting into any piece of media. There's much more to love and look forward to, there's more to appreciate and shows have more to offer than just ships, SHIPPING AIN'T EVERYTHING.
One more thing I'm gonna add and talk about before we finish up is that..I don't even understand and get the hate Nuzi has received, I mean I'm fine and totally alright with people seeing them as friends and respect their opinions. But, what's with some of these people just disliking and harassing people for seeing the two more than just friends and wanting them to be something more? I've seen people argue and say that it's either too cliche and just call both Uzi and N, Starco 2.0. And it's just ridiculous how some of these fans and antis act whenever there's moments with Uzi and N together or when the show is hinting at a possibility of the two being an item someday. Is this seriously how these toxic fans are gonna act whenever Nuzi have any moments together?? Whether it's romantic or not? It just seems the idea of Uzi and N being something more just burns these fans up inside and just frustrates them to the core. Nuzi ISN'T what you guys think it is and it's more than that, nothing is being rushed and forced and nothing is being written poorly between them either, and they AREN'T another Starco. Also, Nuzi isn't just here for fanservice, these moments we've gotten with Uzi and N were already planned out and worked on, MD has been in the works and in production since about 2020, wayyy before the show even came out and before the fandom was even a thing. Uzi and N were already planned and hinted at being something more and having something special between them, they were always meant to have something deeper and important and the show seems to be going the route in wanting to develop further into Uzi and N's dynamic and their relationship as a whole. The scenes we've gotten for Uzi and N have always been planned out and if Nuzi happens and becomes a thing in the series, it's because Liam wants it to be and planned it that way, NOT BECAUSE OF FANSERVICE!! It's fine if you're not a fan of the pairing and just don't find any interest in it, you can love and like what you want. But please stop acting like it's a big deal and something to get angry about, because it's not..it's not worth it. It's not worth throwing tantrums and acting over the top about, just move on and ignore.
Anyways, this is all I've wanted to talk about when it comes to this Nuzi hate and the drama that surrounds the ship when it comes to the fandom, I've just wanted to give my thoughts. Also, everyone in the Murder Drones Community, just PLEASE be nice and kind to one another and respect each other's opinions. ♥️ You guys are better than this and getting into arguments and shipping wars aren't worth it and are just plain silly, doing any of this just results in people being hurt and affected, getting into shipping wars aren't worth it and they're are better things to do. Please, be nice to each other and if you aren't a fan of certain ships in the show then that's fine and alright. Just move on and scroll away and respect other's feelings and opinions, you don't have to like a ship that's popular or what many seem to like! Just don't be a dick and treat others like crap and make hate posts just because you're not a fan of said ship, just please move on and keep moving forward! Plain and simple, just ignore and move on with your day, mistreating and hurting others just isn't worth it.

OSRS is by far the best mmo as far as I'm concerned. You can do literally anything in it. It's so simple. Its just a little medieval fantasy point and click RNG simulator. But that simplicity is what makes it so addicting.
You can literally just do whatever the fuck you want on it. The game doesnt hold your hand at all, and while I can see how that would be overwhelming for new folks getting into the game, its an aspect that keeps me coming back.
It's kind of a single player mmo. Like sure there's content to do with other folks, and it can be social at times, but like your account is yours. Everything takes such a long fucking time in that game, especially if you're playing as any type of Ironman account, that the game feels more personal.
Like I don't play nearly as much as some folks that I know and I still have nearly 5000 hours of in game time on a single account and its not even in the late game yet.
Like sure these stats are pretty decent for an iron, but I haven't even started going most of the end game content like Raids, CG, Nightmare, ect.
No only that but I legitimately that the osrs content creators are some of the absolute best gaming content on Youtube. By far. It is insane what some of these people do with the game, all because of how much of a sandbox it is.
Even if you know nothing about osrs or Runescape in general, I would HIGHLY recommend checking our SoupRS on Youtube and watch his Gielinor Games series. All of them. Start with the first season, and watch them all if you like it. Its like a survivor style game with challenges, voting, bannings, and testimonies, all through the lens of osrs.
Settled is one of the funniest motherfuckers on Youtube and has multiple videos about region locked accounts that are still easy to understand for folks who have never played the game.
Jeporite has a NorthernUIM series that leaves me in hysterics every video.
J1mmy is one of those content creators that turns everything he touches into something good. I cannot praise all of his videos enough, including the ones he makes that arent related to osrs. However, his osrs F2P series is one of my favorites.
Hannanie is a trans woman content creator that just makes some of the most off the wall insane videos I've ever seen. Seriously, she made a fucking 21 part series about cutting fucking trees in this game and managed to make every installment a banger. Hannanie is a treasure and everyone should know her content.
Imo the only gaming content on YT that comes even close to osrs is probably Minecraft, but that is mostly because you can do so much modding that the content stays fresh.

Rock Golem at 89 mining, Groot at 86 farming, TWO fucking rex pets before 140kc, 42kc thermy.
Plus with the RuneLite client, you can make your in game interaction as customizable as you want. My whole client is fucking Miku themed lmao. The community has made so many amazing plug ins for this game including a full HD client with dynamic lighting effects, increased GPU distance rendering, ect.
OSRS is a great fucking game and you should definitely be playing it. I will take full responsibility for the thousands of hours that you lose to it. I could go on but this post is already a lot longer than I was expecting it to be.
As an aside: Ironman does something to you. Why do I have 117k Light Orbs in my bank? Idfk might need em. 20k gold tiaras? Just in case. 10k snake skin? You never know when something might pop up. Hoard Everything.

I like both storage systems. Etho's is significantly more functional (and less likely to explode, scar that minecart is making me wary) but I really enjoy the aesthetic of Scar's.

I WAS AT THE NERDY PRUDES SHOW WHERE THEY LOST POWER!!!
Here is my spoiler-free recounting!
After over a decade of being a Starkid fan, I traveled 3,000 miles to see Nerdy Prudes!! (The date just happened to align with a trip I was planning.) It was so surreal being in the theater! I saw Producer!Dylan and Corey L. running around with their headsets. Then right before the show started I saw Joe Moses and Tessa walk in. Also two rows ahead of me was someone in a Spiderman hat... I was like... Is that Nick Lang? No... why would he be in the middle of the audience? Later I found out I was right 😂
For context, it was raining really hard in LA and the streets were flooding. LA is not used to rain so they're not well equipped to deal with it.
Act 1 went great and then shortly after Act 2 started, BAM, the lights went off. Everyone froze. The person in the light booth said "We've just lost power." Then, Nick Lang stood up and said, "It's going to be okay everyone, we'll figure this out." And he left to help the staff. But for a good minute or so the entire audience thought it was a bit and couldn't tell if this was part of the show or not! But after a few minutes we were like holy shit this is actually happening. It took maybe half an hour or so but we were back up and running and everyone was so hype cheering on the actors when they came back on stage.
Then, during the final song, on what sounded like the final NOTE, the lights went off again. You could hear a reaction from the actors-- I can't imagine how upset they must have been in that moment! But the entire audience erupted in cheers and instantly gave a standing ovation. After the crowd calmed down a bit Nick came back out and was like "Yeah...... That actually wasn't the ending. There are two minutes left." And we freaked out 😂 They had us wait for a few minutes, but then they decided to call it. In the words of Nick, "You're the lucky audience who gets to see this show with a happy ending!" 😳😳 So yeah - I still don't know the ending. I'm going to have to buy the digital ticket so I can see the ending and also get the full experience uninterrupted. I can't wait for the YouTube version!

I keep thinking about how Rob M fumbled the Starkid bag 😬 But Joey did such a great job as Pete! For some reason it feels like a full-circle moment between MAMD and "Joey Richter" with him playing the nerdy character 😊
Anglea was freaking fantastic as Grace. I just love her voice and how she makes it go so high it cracks! And Curt and Kim playing her parents was so good.
There's something so funny about Angela's characters being so different - Lex vs Grace - and the fact that they would hate each other 😂 Can Angela please play both of them interacting?!
Kim freaking Whalen!!!! I love her so much.
I LOVE seeing Corey and Mariah playing father and daughter again (but it's a very different dynamic than TGWDLM).

Some MK1 thoughts
Since Mortal Kombat 1 cutscenes are now available on YouTube (and me watching it up to 4 a.m.), here some thoughts under cut:
This is the most pro-Mileena game and I’m glad for the girl to finally have supportive family and friends. Generally I’m very touched how much the Edenian female cast was bonded with each other, that Li Mei and Sindel turned out to be the best friends, Tanya and Mileena were in happy relationship (as much as it could be due to Umgadi laws), Mileena and Kitana for once did not need to fight for throne. Good stuff.
However, the game that advertises itself with “Fight through a brand new story featuring your favorite Mortal Kombat characters like you’ve never seen them before” can’t apparently give us a storyline in which Bi-Han & Kuai Liang are from start to (bitter) end brothers in every sense of the word. I guess, it is my own fault for hoping too much but the frustrating disappointment stings double so, because Mileena and Kitana got their happy family. And look, I don’t mind Bi-Han being so done with everyone and everything and wanting to combat / challenge authority of others while not caring much for Liu Kang’s godly status and all, but is that really so much to ask for having at least one game he is on brother’s side to the bitter end? I’m not even asking for a story to keep Bi-Han relevant to the final chapter, just him being (sort of) a good brother.
I know I was foolish, but the plot twist of Lin Kuei only playing the thugs to test Kung Lao and Raiden from first chapter raised my hopes - supported a bit by the fact that Bi-Han was jerk to Smoke only to few scenes later asking both Kuai Liang and Tomas are they unharmed after he defeated Nitara. Because the Sub-Zero chapter (Band of Brothers!) was the best for another plot twist. We could have Bi-Han playing the role of a traitor so he and Kuai Liang could learn more about enemy’s true goal / weapon and if game creators didn’t want keep Bi-Han in the story (or couldn’t give him anything relevant to do in later chapters) they could kill him and I’m glad they didn’t or capture him or whatever. Like I said, I don’t need heroic Bi-Han per se, just him and Kuai Liang having the brotherhood we hear about since the original series. It is about damn time!
On another note, Sektor being loyal to Bi-Han and being shown in the Sub-Zero ending was such a nice addition. Though I’m still mad, that brothers are divided into Kuai Liang & Tomas vs Bi-Han & Sektor/Lin Kuei. The Lin Kuei storyline did not impress me at all.
At least, in the final fight between good and evil timelines, there is plenty version of Bi-Han and the fact that game allows the player to choose the character on their own (including Sub-Zero) warmed my heart so much ❤
I’m surprised in a good way by Johnny Cage, he was witty and great, but I’m truly touched how helpful and nice he was to some characters (and is it me, or did this Johnny felt so much like Johnny from MK movie 1995?). Him and Kenshi was pretty funny interaction but also him inviting Syzoth and Ashrah to come with them to Earthrealm AND THEN STAYING WITH THEM WHEN THE REST OF TEAM ALREADY WENT TO REST TO PROPERLY INTRODUCE THOSE TWO TO LIU KANG that is, this is the best of Johnny and I love they keep showing him like that ❤
And of course, Shang Tsung ❤ Though I do not understand why Shao Kahn was allowed to be Outworld general while Shang Tsung was given such a pitiful life? Sure, he is dangerous and all, but I would argue who was the worst person in previous lifes. Anyway, every time Shang Tsung works for the good guys, it is frankly my favorite thing.
In general, the game looks gorgeous, the characters are cool, though I would love for some to have more screen time and some, like Bi-Han, to actually have a proper, meaningless relationship and part in the story. But I guess, Bi-Han is just fated to doom since the first game…. nothing new.

You're a reporter working at the red carpet of a national award gala. You've convinced yourself that you're doing just fine. At least, you're doing fine until you interview Kaminari.
notes: since this fic is both a chat fic and a regular fic, the formatting is better over on ao3. but, I wanted to post it here too :P
Against all odds, you’re the agency member selected to serve as a reporter on the red carpet at the biggest gala of the year. There will be musicians, actors, and a plethora of other celebrities in attendance. The very thought of having to interact with those kinds of people makes you extremely nervous. It’s an amazing opportunity, of course. You just hope you can live up to the public’s expectations.
You end up spending the week before the gala drafting interview questions. You’ve decided to lean into a more fun and lighthearted type of interview. No doubt, the guests in attendance will be accosted with all sorts of personal questions throughout the night. You hope it’ll be refreshing for them to get asked noninvasive questions.
As for your attire, you’ve been provided an agency-regulated outfit to wear. It’s a suit- rather luxurious, but nothing too eye-catching. Ultimately, the celebrities will be wearing far more flamboyant and attention-grabbing outfits. You’ll fade into the background, with any luck. Despite that knowledge, however, you’re a bit nervous. You’re not a stranger to being on camera, but the thought of your interviews being posted to Youtube makes you pretty anxious. Unlike live television, platforms like Youtube can immortalize content. Your embarrassing moments will live on forever. You grimace to yourself. No pressure, right?
Amazingly enough, you end up being fine. You get to meet and speak with famous figures like All Might, Shoto, and even Shota Aizawa. The interviews aren’t awkward, somehow. You do notice the celebrities all relax after you ask your first stupid question. They don’t seem to expect things like: “What’s your favorite thing to do in your free time?” or “Favorite movie to watch at 3am?” That only makes the interactions all the more pleasant. You even receive murmured words of gratitude from a few of them.
You’re fixing your hair in the reflection of a handheld mirror provided to you when there’s a sudden presence in front of you. Admittedly, you haven’t had much of a break between interviews- the red carpet has been rather busy the entire time. You decide to take advantage of the moment’s respite you’re given. “Sorry, I’m fixing my hair,” you decide to murmur, taking one final look in the mirror before handing it to the assistant standing behind you. “Okay. Hey, how are you?” You look up, only to find yourself staring at Kaminari Denki. The Kaminari Denki- the idol with over thirty million listeners and sold-out concerts across the world. You’re certain that you’re going to fumble your words several times in front of him. It’s not even like you’re a fan of him- you’re just brutally aware of how immensely popular he is.
“I’m good,” Kaminari responds, an easy smile on his face. You take a moment to look him up and down, raising an eyebrow at the sleek white suit he’s wearing. It’s perfectly fitted, unsurprisingly. There’s an expensive watch- likely worth more than your entire salary- on his wrist. “It’s crazy to be here.”
“I’m sure!” You remark, wincing at how your voice sounds. It sounds a bit too much like your fake customer-service voice. You take a deep breath and try to recollect yourself. You’re supposed to be here; you have the experience needed for the situation. “It’s not your first rodeo, though, is it?”
“Nope,” Kaminari answers, pushing a piece of hair out of his face. Cameras flash around the two of you. Kaminari is certainly used to it. You, on the other hand? Not so much. You’re blinking stars out of your eyes as you try to listen to him. “I was at last year’s gala, too.”
“Lucky you,” you say with a strange mix of sincerity and humor. Thankfully, you’re holding onto a placard, so you aren’t tempted to do anything stupid with your hands like shooting finger-guns at him. “Hey, what’s your best tip for not making a complete fool of yourself on the red carpet? I’m asking for a friend, definitely not for myself.”
Kaminari laughs at that. “You’re doing just fine, don’t worry!” He’s just as cheerful in person as he is depicted online. Well, it appears the Internet is sometimes right about things, you think to yourself. Kaminari squints for a moment, evidently contemplating what to answer with. “My biggest tip, though… I think I’d just try to remember that everyone here is human. We’re all nervous. Some are just better at hiding it.”
“That’s a pretty good tip, actually,” you acknowledge with a nod. “Alright, well… Do you have anything coming up that you’re looking forward to? I’m sure the audience would love to know.” You lean back towards the camera and wink. Kaminari blinks at you for a few seconds, as if distracted.
“Well, I do have an album coming soon,” the idol starts, a mischievous smirk growing on his face. You can practically feel the paparazzi off to the side waiting with bated breath. “But I can’t share the details.”
“Not even for me?” You put on your best puppy eyes and you swear that, for a moment, Kaminari’s facade cracks. You’re quick to reassure him that you’re just joking, however. “Kidding, of course. That’s great to hear. I’m sure your fans will be pleased. Maybe I’ll give it a listen.”
“You will?” The idol seems pretty surprised and you’re not sure why. It’s not like the offer is tedious or taxing. It would be easy enough- you listen to music a lot throughout your days.
“Sure,” you shrug, suddenly feeling a little flustered. “You’ve been very kind. You’re pretty cool and down-to-earth, too.” You’re sure that your expression may be falling a little far away from professional respect, but you can’t quite control it. Kaminari is just so easy to talk to.
“Thanks.” You’re not sure what else to say- especially when faced with his insistent gaze- so you look down at your placard for any last-minute questions you can throw in. Your eye catches on the one stupid question you wrote down and you huff a laugh.
“Okay, so… one last question,” you say to the idol. Thankfully, Kaminari doesn’t seem annoyed at the prospect. He seems pretty easygoing, all things considered. His agreeableness makes your job much easier, admittedly. “Pancakes or waffles?”
“Pancakes, one hundred percent,” You gasp in mock offense and place a hand over your heart. Kaminari crosses his arms over his chest and rolls his eyes good-naturedly. “I see you prefer waffles. Can’t imagine why.”
“Waffles are fu- freakin’ amazing, excuse you,” you say, only slightly fumbling in your attempt to censor your cussing. The idol notices and grins. “Do pancakes have pockets? Didn’t think so.” You smile smugly. Kaminari looks entirely indignant at the thought.
“So?” Kaminari asks. “Pancakes can just as easily have syrup and toppings-” Before the idol can finish his sentence, someone places a hand on his shoulder and whispers in his ear. Kaminari nods and then turns back to you, an apologetic expression on his face.
“I’m sorry, I have to get moving,” he frowns, as if genuinely bothered by the idea of ending the conversation. You immediately shake your head to reassure him that he doesn’t need to apologize. If anything, you should be the one apologizing.
“Sorry for keeping you,” you grimace, taking a moment’s glance around your immediate area. It’s as if your surroundings are crashing back down on you and you begin to realize the scale of the entire event. It was easy to forget when faced with Kaminari’s intent gaze. “Thanks for the interview.”
“Of course,” Kaminari responds, looking frighteningly sincere. There’s an unreadable expression on his face as he stares at you, apparently incapable of tearing his eyes away from you. Eventually, there’s someone at his shoulder again and the idol nods. He turns back to you. “Love ya.” Kaminari grins and winks.
“Love ya,” you respond habitually. The idol then walks away, evidently on to the next media outlet or celebrity. You wait a few moments before turning back to the camera and putting your head in your hands. The placard slips to the ground and, in your embarrassment, you don’t even notice. You’re too busy imagining the angry Tweets from Kaminari fans. Ugh.
Against all odds, you manage to get rid of your unease and go through the motions throughout the rest of the night. Thankfully, you’re only working the red carpet- not the whole event itself. So, instead of going into the rather fancy event hall, you can traipse back home and wallow in your embarrassment and humiliation.
When you get home, you make yourself dinner and have a bit of dessert for surviving that red carpet unscathed [well, your pride isn’t unscathed, but that’s a different story.] You’re dreading the media attention you might have received, but ultimately, you decide to open Twitter anyway. Kaminari is trending, unsurprisingly. However, it seems there’s another tag trending: #Reporter. Dread coils in your chest and you click on the tag before scrolling down to the first Tweet.

Admittedly, you’d never noticed that Kaminari had looked back at you. It’s not like that means much, though. There could be a million different explanations for that. Perhaps he just wanted to make sure his assistant was walking behind him. Surely that’s it.
Surprisingly enough, people seemed to be well-receiving of your interviewing skills. That’s good, you think to yourself. You certainly hadn’t expected for people to be commenting about your looks- you figured you would slip to the background when standing next to Kaminari.
You think about the Tweets you just scrolled through. Ultimately, you wish they were true- that Kaminari was actually interested in you. That’s nothing more than a desperate hope, though. It was an interview and nothing more.
You drown your doubts in ice cream and watch the rest of the award show. A few of the artists you listen to are in attendance and you’re curious to see if they win anything. Kaminari ends up winning an award and you smile at the ecstatic look on his face. The rest of the event passes rather slowly, as there are frequent commercial breaks. You find your eyes slipping closed more often than not and it doesn’t take long for you to drift off into sleep.
You’re woken by a loud buzz from your phone. You sleepily reach a hand out and grab your phone, turning it on and wincing at the sudden brightness. It seems you slept for a few hours. There’s a notification sitting on your lock screen. You frown and tap it.

You frown and squint at the attached photo. Surely enough, it’s Kaminari Denki. He holds a peace sign up to the camera and there’s an easy smile on his face. You’re still not convinced, however. The picture could easily be an older one. This is clearly just a fan trying to mess with you.
You’re almost about to shut your phone off when a glimmer in the picture catches your eye. You zoom in, only to find Kaminari holding the award that he just won a few hours ago. You blink, convinced you’re seeing things. When you look at the photo again, you realize that he’s wearing the white suit from earlier. You’re still a bit unconvinced, so you zoom in on the clock conveniently located in the corner of the shot. 20:35. You glance down at your watch and a shiver rolls down your spine. Sure enough, the time is the same. It appears this is actually Kaminari Denki.

Coming Home From Work to Sal

It's been a long day
You might argue the longest
Regardless of the field you work in
Every interaction you had today was a difficult one
People where whiny and obstinate

He holds the door for you and follows behind you as you shed your uniform on the way to the bathroom
And then listens as you unload your day
From the stupid overreaction about a small hiccup provided by Brandy in sales
To the complete Karen of an old woman who just kept haranguing you
To the fact that you totally overcommitted yourself with work duties today that were and weren't actually necessary
Sal diligently follows you from the bathroom and shower, to the bedroom (where he stole a few kisses and maybe a few squeezes too), to the kitchen where you both ate dinner standing up over the sink, and then finally to the living room
To console you on your bad day, Sal turns on your favorite guilty pleasure show
Even though watching it always makes him feel like happily slamming a door onto his head repeatedly
He engages in the show, and finds himself getting invested in it too

Vent section: For those of you who follow my blog and know my life, I work on a dementia ward. We got a new resident today. She is completely rude and hateful, incessantly talks, picks on/picks fights with other residents, argues for arguments sake, and biological functioned in the hall (TWICE). Needless to say, her presence has thrown off my entire work groove. I tried to compensate by deciding to do linens today, help out... For rooms 13-24... All of them. It was almost too much but I got it done right before my shift was done. I work 12 hour shifts so 15 loads was a completely doable task... Right? Anyway, while I was doing that, two of my residents (besties, Ms. Daisy and Ms. Eileen (all names have been changed for privacy and dignity)) managed to slip through the coded fire doors that lock down the hall (dementia patients wander and get lost easily, we have to keep them locked down for their safety). They didn't go far. The rest of the building caters to elderly people who just need a little help, and Daisy and Eileen went to the dining room on that wing. An elopement is when a resident manages to get completely out of the building, out in the world . So not even really an elopement. But mass panic ensued while we were trying to find out how they got out. Turns out they were camping the doors, and waited for a family member to come through and slipped out... Very crafty. One headcount later, administration finally left and it was back to dealing with the new lady, Glenda, who I'm sure will appear in many incorrect quotes on my blog. I normally completely loathe a new resident when we get them. As you can see, it throws off my whole day. I'll get used to her, figure out who she needs me to be, and be that person for her. I'm sure we'll end up thick as thieves. It's always the difficult ones that I end up liking the most.

the first souyo au i came up with was my idol au way back in october. over time i've thought about making them both actors or youtubers or something, but I like the idol version the most cause I like idols lol
either way, this is just my excuse to have fans of souyo actually interact with them HAHA, they'd both have their own little fanbases and those fanbases would be making like “are they secretly together?! 15 minute souyo compilation” vids and whatever lol, just like real fan bases. I like the idea of them being idols because idols usually do a lot of casual life stuff, which would be prime fodder for shipper minds…
in my mind, souji would be the most popular member of their group, and would have solo performances as well. yosuke would only perform with the same group as souji, and would have a smaller fanbase but it would be pretty dedicated (just like real life lol). He’d be a massive souji oshi (sorry i'm gonna use the phrase oshi from now on cause i am a nerd but it just is slang for "favorite idol/actor/person") and go to all his solo concerts. Souji wouldn’t be able to go to any of yosuke’s performances since he’d also be performing, but he would run a fan account secretly and buy all of yosuke’s merch and go to all the pop-up collabs just to get the limited photo cards and whatnot lol.
I think they would totally push their own ship for their own self-interest, like if he’s never gonna fall in love with me at least there’s a fun excuse to get him to pretend he does, and so it gets worse and worse until everyone thinks, are they actually dating? Are they trying to create a scandal? (they would not complain if there was a scandal)
[theatre au]
my next souyo AU is a theatre AU. it was originally supposed to be high school, and be really self indulgent, but japan doesn't do theatre the way america does LOL so it might have to be college instead. and i don't know if it'll ever go anywhere since writing is not my strong suit but i was planning on writing a longform fic for it, so here you can have my notes from back then instead, sorry they’re so long:
Yasogami theatre department is doing a classic this year: Romeo and Juliet
Souji is a second year transfer student who applies for a role in the fall play and not only gets in, but gets into the lead role of romeo, so obviously everyone’s talking about how talented he is for getting chosen over the third years and how he had so much chemistry with the first year professional actress who got chosen to play Juliet
Rise is Juliet lol she’s talented as hell and super popular from her time being an actual actress, she’s taking a break between roles in order to go to school but that won’t stop her from flaunting her talent and continuing to act, she’s rather sweet and she does like Souji but understands exactly how gay he is for the sound technician/temporary costume crew member
Yosuke is the sound technician and has been since he transferred in during his first year, though he’s usually on the sidelines and not many people hang out with him, but he’s talented when it comes to handling all the different moving parts of a production and has been doing it on his own for the two productions he’s been a part of
Since he’s the only sound technician he has to stay after school like every single day once the show gets going but since they don’t necessarily need him all the time he helps out other crew members when he’s not busy, so this time around since kanji’s a little overwhelmed with making all the costumes for the production he helps out in the costume department
chie and Yukiko are also actors? What role would they play in Romeo and Juliet? Well no matter what they would probably have pretty important roles that would involve them spending a lot of time around Souji just for that maximum jealousy
Kanji is obviously the head of the costume department, Yosuke has been around long enough to not be intimidated by him any more so that’s why kanji comes to him + kanji knows Yosuke has to be around anyways so he puts Yosuke to work
Probably the last person to be in costumes was a third year so kanji’s all alone as a first year and gets overwhelmed and stuff
Naoto?? Ohh naoto would be on props and set design maybe since they’re good at making things like gadgets, and they’re pretty close with kanji because of that though they’re still awkward with each other
Saki was probably a third-year when Yosuke was a first year, and turned him down because she just didn’t like him like that and rumor got out that it was because Yosuke was annoying and unhelpful and so that’s why he’s mostly around the first years now because the second and third years all remember that incident from last year. Yukiko and chie are acquaintances with him but don’t know too much about him and yu learns about yosuke’s whole rumor thing and decides to get to know him anyways
SUUUPER fluffy and cheesy with a ton of Romeo and Juliet jokes
Lots of UST from the fact that Yosuke is interacting with a half-naked Romeo for measurements and microphones and crap and since mr Romeo is one of the main roles he’s also always there even when he’s not needed so he ends up hanging out with Yosuke all the time and offers to help him study and walks him home and crap like a real romeo
They watch the Romeo + Juliet movie together one night after studying
Man this is gonna be really fucking American I’m so sorry Japan
souji gets him a bouquet on closing night and they make out during the wrap party
They get assigned as partners for a class project which is how they get closer, though they make acquaintances early on since Yosuke has to mic the cast
this is why Yosuke calls him partner
some cute ideas?
They get caught in the rain
“do I actually have a crush on him or do I just like having a guy in my year as a friend?” asks kanji for advice, kanji’s like “I dunno. I guess you’d probably want to like, kiss them and shit.” then rise pops out of the dressing room and is like “I have some advice for you, hanamura-senpai~ you wanna do dirty stuff with them” and yosuke flushes straight red
yosuke’s more of a film buff than a theatre nerd and he wants to do sound design for a living but he doesn’t feel like he’ll get into college because his grades suck and then souji teaches him how to study properly and by the end yosuke’s like “I need to get into college + I need to get into souji’s college”
souji started theatre because he was made fun of for being so emotionless as a kid and even though he joined to express himself more he still tends to revert back to being blank-faced when he’s not acting so it still seems like a drastic case. His parents don’t really like him being so into theatre and want him to be a doctor or lawyer (his parents are doctor/lawyers) but they realized theatre helps him express himself and well, that’s an important skill for doctors so they let him keep doing theatre even at the new school. He doesn’t want to be a doctor though, he wants to keep acting but he’s scared of what his parents will think and say.
The only thing holding yosuke back from becoming a sound design major is his grades, he tells souji that “sure my dad won’t be happy that I’m choosing a dead-end major with no job security instead of becoming a manager at Junes, but when has my dad yelling at me ever stopped me before?”
Actual outline for first chapter (unfinished)
Second year classroom, Souji gets introduced by King Moron as a transfer student, classroom is in a little bit of chaos because Souji is cute and there’s already been rumors that he signed up for auditions for the newest play alongside Risette
Yosuke is a little uninterested and jealous because he definitely didn’t get this kind of reception when he transferred in during the middle of last year
Meanwhile, Chie asks if Souji can sit next to her and Yukiko
Class starts after King Moron gets annoyed and starts yelling
After class, Chie and Yukiko start talking to Souji, and Chie eventually asks him whether the rumors are true and if he’s really going to audition alongside THE risette and he replies cooly “yeah”
Before everyone leaves, Souji goes out of his way to turn around and introduce himself to Yosuke as well, and Yosuke is a little surprised but introduces himself politely, a little subdued and not into the interaction and Souji seems to pick up on this, frowning but resigned
Yosuke starts thinking about Souji and theatre as he packs up, thinking about how Souji seems nice but probably will ignore Yosuke just like his other classmates after what happened with Saki last year, even if he doesn’t know about yosuke’s backstory at the moment
He’s walking to the drama room since he’s a second year so he already has things to start on, and they’ve announced the play today and he needs to know so he can get started on sound work and helping out the others
He sees people crowding around the audition signups, and turns out they’re looking at Risette’s signature and taking pictures, and also looking at Souji’s name, besides each of their names are the roles they’d prefer playing and of course Risette went for Juliet and Souji went for Romeo
Yosuke doesn’t realize that the play is Romeo and Juliet until he sees the signups, and is immediately annoyed because now he’ll have to see people make Romeo and Juliet jokes all term + annoyed that of course Souji went for the Romeo role, probably just wants to get w/ Risette because ofc she’s gonna get the Juliet role she’s a professional actress
At least Risette probably won’t hear about the thing that happened last year too quick since she’s a first year, so maybe Yosuke can make a good impression when it comes to probably the only half-okay thing about this play
Anyways he heads for the drama room, meets with the drama teacher/director (mr hosoi?) and figures out that there’s even fewer people in crew this year since a lot of the people who tended to hop between the two decided to give cast a shot since risette was in the play
so yosuke has to help out with other things, and he won’t have any help with sound really
ayane’s introduced here and yosuke manages to put on a nice smile but she seems REALLY unreliable and he’s resigned to having to manage her while balancing the billion other things he’s got to do. Really, it’s like he’s the assistant student director without the title
[vampire souji and werewolf yosuke au]
this one is really self explanatory, it’s just an excuse for me to think about dogboy yosuke some more lol. I think the rest of the IT would be different supernatural creatures as well, so that they can all hang out. No personas, and they’d probably be in college or something if I ever made something for this au specifically.

i've posted this one a few times before (links here and here), but basically yosuke is spiderman, souji is mj, rise is the woman in the chair helping yosuke out. souji is a curious student reporter looking to find out the secret behind the mask (but when he does he obviously doesn't report on it). yosuke starts to get to know souji through school, and they partner up for a school project, while rise's tearing her hair out over the fact that yosuke's getting a crush on the guy who's trying to unmask him. i think it'd be pretty fluffy tho if you wanted to go more angsty spiderman, saki would make a good gwen stacy

okay now my silliest AU is. really dumb and i've never talked about it, but it's kind of my favorite lol. in this one, souji's an idol, while yosuke's still just working a normal job as a manager in some tokyo junes. they never met during high school, so yosuke's kind of just drifting by as his pre-social link self, going to work, coming home, average capitalism grind yknow? except in his spare time, he's a massive risette/kanamin oshi, like MASSIVE. he spends all his money on idol goods and lives in a one bedroom apartment with that one bedroom being an idol shrine, like just awful cringiest deepest secret no person would want to touch that with a 10 foot pole. so he's a decently respectable junes manager with a secret weird hobby. life is pretty alright for him, he enjoys his idols well enough, but one day they go onto a variety show with a bunch of other groups. and wouldn't you know it, they've managed to pull the hottest most popular idol in japan right now, seta souji, for their performance tonight. male idols were never even on yosuke's radar before this, because male idols are for loser otaku women and yosuke's not gay. except… this guy is really… cute… and hot… and charismatic…
and suddenly cut to yosuke a few months later, shrine overtaken with souji merch and posters and photocards and… two distinct life size cardboard cutouts…? and he's on 2chan roasting all of souji's haters and now his terrible idol habit is even deeper of a secret because he's kind of obsessed with souji. but he's still working as a normal junes manager, and he's absolutely flawless about keeping up appearances so that nobody suspects anything about him.
one day at junes, though, he spots the hottest man he has ever seen (besides souji, ofc) shopping and makes an absolute fool out of himself. i'm talking stammering, stuttering, and eventually spilling his mop water all over Hot Guy's expensive designer clothes because he is just way too attractive for yosuke to keep it together. yosuke apologizes desperately and is like is there any way i can make it up to you, dreading the drycleaning bill, to which Hot Guy responds, you can repay me by letting me take you out on a date. oh sure, sure, a date… HUH? souji takes his stunned silence as reluctance, and is like sorry, i thought you were interested, i'll just go now… and yosuke yet again trips all over himself to be like no holy shit idc what this means for my sexuality
he has no clue what Hot Guy's name is, so he asks, and Hot Guy responds with narukami yu (gasp, shocker!!) seta souji is so popular that he is not allowed to go outside as himself, he's disguised with a beanie and different hairstyle and different makeup and a new wardrobe and of course, a different name. so yosuke just thinks he's somehow found some super rich hot guy off the streets of tokyo that happens to match his exact type (his type being japan's number one idol Seta Souji)
so they go out on their date and their chemistry is kind of insane, yosuke has the time of his life (i'm thinking yosuke probably didn't get out much either before this, probably dated like maybe one person at most, he's a homebody) and at the end yosuke's like man, this food was great, i wish i could eat like this every day. yu is like, i can cook for you, yosuke thinks when did i die and go to heaven why is this guy even interested in me but he accepts, goes to yu's extremely expensive designer apartment the next night, and there yu is like, i really like you, will you go out with me, of course yosuke accepts
turns out souji's cousin, nanako, goes to this junes and has talked about this very cheerful, clumsy, cute manager, and souji decides to do some recon because that's totally his type, falls in love from afar, and takes the opportunity when he gets dirty mop water all over him to ask yosuke out. except now that they're dating, he can't seem to figure out how to tell yosuke that he's actually seta souji, not narukami yu. and yosuke's getting a little suspicious. however, yosuke still pretends he is not a massive souji seta oshi, and even though he's comfortable enough to admit his appreciation for risette and kanamin, he has no intentions of ever divulging his seta shrine lol
probably one day, they're out drinking, enjoying themselves, and stumble back drunk to yosuke's apartment cause it's closer. except yosuke still has not talked about his thing, and souji still hasn't talked about HIS thing, and as they stumble into yosuke's tiny one bedroom apartment and yu fumbles the door to the singular bedroom open, they both see the shrine at the same time. and at the same time, yosuke blurts out "i can explain" while yu says "i'm seta souji"
and then reveal shenanigans, yosuke totally freaks out and gets super embarassed, while souji is kind of amused and very very touched that his boyfriend loves both sides of him so much, and jokes about how yosuke doesn't have to settle for cardboard now (yosuke dying of embarassment)
and he gets introduced to risette and kanamin and gets to freak out about that too

In the words of our good man Legundo, himself: "Welcome to Deceit. Hardcore players meeting together in a world for a game of 'Survival' and 'Social Deduction.'"
This hardcore-based server is centered around two lives which each player has, their First life is your gentle run-of-the-mill Minecraft experience with friends.
Well, Mogspawner, you must be saying to yourself right now as you read this blog. What happens when you lose your first life?
You are onto your last life and given a role. (3)
Crafter(4): Survival route, aimed at continuing to stay alive in the endgame. Uniting with others of your shared role.
Traitor(3): Traitors are pretty self explanatory, they are the infiltrators to the Crafters and seek to dish out justice and mayhem alongside their traitor friends to remain the last standing team.
The Killer(1): The killer has a single role. Total annihilation. No side should be left standing when you are done with them, and oh boy are the possibilities endless.
The goal is for the Crafters to survive, the Traitors to kill or the Killer to try and win the game at all costs. Seems pretty fun, right? Wrong. Each player will do their best to lie, cheat and deceit their way to victory. Who comes out on top? Who survives after all's said and done. Find out on Deceit!

Recently, I have left a comment on a Youtube video. All in all, it was basically just me listing off reasons why I liked TOA and - in hindsight - naively going "idk why people don't like it".
Top Ten things said before disaster.
The next day, I got two comments.
One was along the lines of-
"Don't care."
The other was-
"Jasper broke up and Jason died - it's not canon to me!"
...
Excuse me for having an opinion, I guess.
What sucks even more is that when a fellow TOA commented to me, the second guy ALSO responded to them with "yeah but PJO and HOO are still better maybe even MCGAA to"
Like what the fuck. who does this. who has the time????
people who don't have a life, i guess.
And then. and then this same person just Keeps Going when I replied. They said "TOA's an AU" and "It relies too heavily on cameos" and then turns around and says "this would have been better if *proceeds to give a list of cameos* were with Apollo instead of Meg"
like. URGHHHHH.
They. Complain. About. Every. Single. Thing.
Even Tristan McLean going broke. And wishing "something" had been done to "fix" it.
Like fixing something of that caliber would be easy. One of TOA's things is that it deals with Reality - and I get it, some people may not like that, especially for a fantasy series - but come on. You can't expect everything to be fine and dandy 24/7 about a series of GREEK MYTHOLOGY, THE CREATOR OF TRAGEDY.
Then they went on to say they hoped that if the show gets to HOO, they "fix" its ending so TOA doesn't happen.
...BRO HOO ONLY EXISTS FOR TOA TO SHINE. RICK'S FAVORITE CHARACTER TO WRITE IS APOLLO AND THAT'S A PILL YOU NEED TO SWALLOW.
they also went on to say that TOA is "example of a story that overstayed its welcome" and i'm just. GAHHHHHHHH *screams into pillows*
"we got new characters in PJO & HOO-"
Me: *can literally name off 27 new characters from TOA from the top of my head*
Them: You need to respect other people's opinions-!
Me: SAYS THE GUY WHO INVADED MY COMMENT??? WHO LITERALLY CALLED ME ANNOYING??? WHO'S COMPLAINING ABOUT A CHILDREN'S SERIES??? AND REFUSED TO AGREE TO DISAGREE WHEN I GAVE YOU THE OPTION???
Them: There's a reason why people don't like TOA. Can you guess? Because we didn't read the book? Nope i read all 5 and the reason is it's not as good as the others-
Me: bro that's not even a solid REASON-
The condensation on that last one really pissed me off.
What was especially baffling, however, was...
Them: I am pretty sure you have hidden opinions that make you like ToA, like maybe you are LGBTQ or LGBTQ Supporter-
WHAT. DOES. MY. SEXUALITY. HAVE. TO. DO. WITH. THIS.
THAT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!
and as a matter of fact, what are they even implying here??? it just sounds like they're saying I must only like TOA because of the queer rep and I can tell you that reason is bullshit.
(I love the queer rep dw it's just not the #1 reason why i love TOA)
also here's a full list of the characters they said were 'OOC': Piper, Frank, Leo, Calypso, Hazel, & Reyna.
A few of these, I understand the confusion (but also disagree with) - but FRANK? FRANK ZHANG WAS OOC?
AT THIS POINT THEY'RE JUST LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT.
(In another person's comment about loving TOA they also went "well there's no Percabeth in it-" OH MY GODS JUST STOP ALREADY.)
It was especially infuriating when I pointed out the hate the TOA fans in the comments experience, they replied with "Nobody's treating you like outcasts!"

just. AJHGSFGH. people. some people.
I want to block them. But youtube has removed that feature (thanks a lot youtube).
I'll stick it out. I am point-blank telling them to drop it. We'll see how that goes.

Jokes on them they merely fueled my stubborn fire. I only love TOA more now. The harder they argue, the tighter I cling.
Anyway. If you've stuck it out this far, thanks for listening. I just really needed to vent. It's been bugging me for a few days and ruining my mood every time I open up youtube.

Being woken up by the sun was one of the high points of living where you did. You purposely put your bed right next to the window in order to get that vitamin D that you so desperately needed.
You flung the sheets off your body and slowly stretched out of bed. Surprisingly enough you and Hitoshi went off to bed before 2AM, the exhaustion from work allowing you to get a deep sleep.
You freshen up in the bathroom before heading into the kitchen. Today is going to be a good day, you decided grabbing a box of pancake batter out of the cabinet. While you started to make chocolate chip pancakes you hear soft footsteps walk around the apartment. A door closes, and you decide to turn on some music now that your roommate is up.
The pancakes are finally done and you grabbed the whip cream from the fridge, closing the fridge door with your hip. Hitoshi comes out of the bathroom, hair still not brushed and head down looking at his phone. At first you didn’t see him, but you were aware of his presence when the music you put on abruptly stops followed by mumbled curse words.
However the action could mean less to you as you smiled fondly at your best friend.
“I swear,” you put two pancakes on your plate and two other pancakes on another. You plant a rich amount of whip cream on both plates as you hear Hitoshi grab something from the fridge.
“You spend more time in the bathroom than I ever will.”
You snicker at your own comment before you feel something uncomfortably cold against your arm. You squeal and scatter away from your now laughing roommate.
“What the fuck?”
You scowl at him, grabbing your plate and a fork trying to get away from him.
“That was for the comment, but seriously take it.”
Hitoshi reveals that the cold object was a water bottle, and he hands it to you forcefully.
“You could have just, asked me to drink water.”
You hear a snort as you sit yourself on the couch, turning on you and Hitoshi’s favorite Youtuber.
“Like that has ever worked?”
You both settle into the couch, comfortable silence between you two. You both laugh at the same jokes the Youtuber makes, even though the two of you have watched this video a thousand times before it never gets old. You love mornings like these, window slightly cracked welcoming the cool breeze and outside noises into the shared apartment. Little decorations that scatter all over the home, showcasing both your and Hitoshi’s personalities. You were cuddled into the couch with a random plush that was bought just last week, Hitoshi cuddling with a much older stuffed animal.
“When are you meeting with Kaminari?”
You look up from your phone to look at your best friend who wasn’t meeting your eye. Since officially hearing confirmation about your theory about him having feelings for the blond, you suddenly felt a responsibility settle upon your shoulders. You desperately wanted to see your best friend in a happy and healthy relationship, considering his last ex was a literal nightmare for not only him but you as well. From your handful of interactions with Kaminari he seemed like a respectful and loving person. If he deals with Bakugou practically on the daily then he can most certainly handle Hitoshi.
“Um, around twelve.”
You take the last bite of your pancake, and Hitoshi who had been long finished stands up and takes your plate. You watch him walk away, before standing up as well and following him into the kitchen.
“Y/n, stop being weird.”
Hitoshi rinses the dishes then carefully places them in the dishwasher.
“I’ve never been weird a day in my life,” you say as you watch your best friend close the dishwasher.
He turns around, a frown on his face and a stern look in his eyes.
“You’ve been staring at me with that…look in your eyes. I don’t like it.”
You laugh, rolling your eyes and embrace the taller man into a hug. He complies, allowing you to take in his warmth.
“Come with me, I’m sure he won’t mind.”
You feel him play with the ends of your hair, his heartbeat starting to become more apparent.
“I don’t know n/n-“
You break from his arms grabbing his face and forcing him to look you in the eyes.
“I’m going to his house for the first time ever and he might have like, all of his friends over. I’m going to be awkward and uncomfortable and wishing you were there. So please? Just for some support?”
The two of you held eye contact for a minute. You could see the gears turning in his head.
He was probably trying to figure out ever out come of this day, watching his own imagination play out.
“Please Toshi?”
There was a moment of silence, the only noise coming from the street below you and the TV auto-playing the next video. Then, Hitoshi sighed.
“Fine. Now let go of me you dork.”
You quickly let go and smile wildly.
“Perfect! I’m gonna go get ready.”
You walk off into the hallway but stop once you get to your doorway. “And Toshi?”
“Hm?”
“You should brush your hair.”
“Fuck off.”
Knock knock knock
Kaminari groaned as he closed his laptop, watching Kirishima jump up from his spot on the couch and walk to the front door. Sero had to pause their game of Super Smash Bros which he seemed not to be happy about.
“Kiri!”
Mina jumped into Kirishima’s arms, the red head gladly welcoming her into his embrace. Kaminari cocked an eyebrow at Katsuki, who was standing behind Mina in the doorway. Katsuki simply rolled his eyes playfully, making Kaminari and Sero chuckle at the obvious pining between the two of their friends.
Katsuki flicked Mina’s back, stopping her rambling to Kirishima and she yelped loudly. She immediately turned around and started hitting Katsuki on his head and he easily defended himself by grabbing her wrists and dragging both of them in the house.
“Watch the nails!”
Katsuki let go of her and walked over to Sero, ignoring Mina’s cussing and ruffled Sero’s hair. Kaminari couldn’t help but stare at his group of friends, feeling his heart squeeze. He’s known these people for so long now, being able to grow up with them and see them grow up in the process.
His eyes drifted to Katsuki, realizing that he was the one who grew up and mature the most. To say the least, when he first met Katsuki he really didn’t respect him. Kaminari truly believed that he was some selfish guy who didn’t deserve anything that was coming his way. However, he couldn’t have been more wrong. Katsuki was just a hurt kid, not knowing how to deal with his own mental problems. He struggled with a lot of things, but with the help of being helped and humbled, he turned into a really good guy. Sure, he was still a bit of an asshole and seemed to be inconsiderate, but he really was kind and loving, just in his own Katsuki way. Seeing him grow up to become more affectionate and more communicative, it was truly remarkable. Kaminari was able to have deep and understanding conversations with Katsuki, along with being able to joke around with the blond. He was genuinely the brother he always dreamed of having, and he couldn’t have been happier to have that asshole in his life.
“I can’t believe you forgot we were coming over Denks!”
Mina was suddenly in his fridge, shuffling to find a soda she deemed worthy of drinking.
“Are we really that easy to forget?” Katsuki’s gruff voice was able to snap Kaminari out of his thoughts. He smiled sheepishly at the other man, who was leaned on the counter with his arms crossed. Mina walked over to him, their height difference always making Kaminari snicker, and she handed him a water.
Before he could respond to Katsuki, Kaminari felt his phone vibrate, shooting an apologetic smile at the other man and opened his phone quickly.
“Yo Denks, did you tell Katsu who’s coming over?”
Kirishima had his hands on his friend’s shoulders, squeezing them lightly enough to make Katsuki annoyed at the pressure.
“What is shitty hair talking about Denki?”
“Just one second Kacchan, let me respond to this.”
Kaminari felt his whole face flush. He didn’t know what to say, his whole body frozen from shock. Of course he wants Shinsou to come over, who wouldn’t want to have the most beautiful man he’s ever laid his eyes on in his own home? However, he doesn’t want to make a fool of himself. This wasn’t some house party with drinks that keeps him tipsy enough not to worry about Shinsou and his developing crush on the man. This was a casual work/hang out! This could get personal and make Shinsou hate his guts and never want to talk to him ever again!
“Denki, are you okay?” Mina’s soothing voice was able to calm his down a bit, feeling her long nails scratch his scalp just right. She was always able to read him like a book, and always knew exactly what to do when he got anxious.
“Yeah so, y/n asked if she could come over because she needed help with some editing stuff.”
Everyone in the room was now looking at Katsuki, who was stiff as a board. He looked inhuman in this moment, and Kaminari knew not even Mina could read him right now.
“And Shinsou is coming too apparently,” he said, getting off the stool and turning to Mina for a hug.
“Woah, didn’t know about that second part.” Kirishima chuckled, Kaminari heard a smack which he assumed was Kirishima hitting Katsuki on the back like he always does.
The red head walked over to Mina and Kaminari, making the blond pull away from his friend and walk away from the now crowd that was in his kitchen. He ran his fingers through his hair and sat next to Sero.
Sero was watching the whole thing from the living room, which surprised the blond.
To Kaminari’s demise, everyone migrated to the living room. Katsuki sat by himself in the arm chair, Mina sat herself down on floor back against the couch and Kirishima took the liberty of sitting next to Kaminari on the couch.
“Why are you freaking out dude? This is awesome!”
Kaminari put his hands on his face and fell into the cushions of the couch.
“If it makes you feel better,” Sero leaned into Kaminari’s ear, making him peek out of hands and look at his best friend who now had a shit-eating grin.
“Hot stuff over there is also gonna be with his crush.”
Slowly but surely, everyone slowly turned their heads at the ash blond, watching him tune back in the conversation.
“Fuck off!”

So I noticed a few people have been following me bc a couple artist friends of mine have been drawing my Swap Pap, Gale (love you @flamingbiscuit @a-snowpoff and @mmhinman [who drew the ref below]) so I’ll post some information about my boy here, for those of you wishing to know more about him.
I’ll be including some general HCs about him, as well as his backstory below the cut (though it’s currently very much a work in progress). I hope you enjoy ^^
TW for Gale’s backstory include no-mercy run mentions, death, and mourning/grief.
HCs
He has a humming stim. He constantly listening to many different songs from different genres, and while there’s no real consistency between them, one thing they’ll have in common is that they’ll stick in his head for hours. As a result, his Undyne started to refer to him as a Nightingale. Gale for short, hence his nickname.
He works as a software programmer full-time, so he has some cash to burn. He also runs a side YouTube channel where he teaches kids how to code. He enjoys being entertaining to kids, and while he likes them just fine, he’s probably in need of a babysitting lesson or two.
He has a number of stims outside of humming. He has chew necklaces for his chewing stim and it a notorious pen clicker. Also leg bouncing. Lots of leg bouncing.
He's not normally very athletic and is even a bit too indoorsy, but he really enjoys swimming. Something about just letting himself drift in nice, cool water he finds soothing. If he lived by a large body of water he would also enjoy paddle boarding and kayaking.
He owns a bearded dragon named Mush (also called “Mushy” or in some cases “Mushymushymushy”). Gale bought a nice large terrarium full of all the needs for his little friend and keeps them plenty happy. Mush will often rest on Gale’s shoulder while he works.
His love language is physical affection. He'll stop if you want, but if you let him, he's going to reach out at every opportunity. Rub your hand while you hold his, snuggle up on the couch (platonic or romantic, he’s down wither way), lazily fiddle with your hair, etc.. He also tends to lean into the people he likes when he laughs.
He does origami as a hobby. Paper folding was also a stim for him and he decided "heck, I'll do something artistic as shit with this" and he took it up pretty easily.
His absolute favorite food is gnocchi. It's pasta in a cute little bug-shaped package and they're fun to chew.
He does little Mandela designs in his notebook just as doodles, not really seriously.
He enjoys comically bad movies as well as romcoms. He also prefers movies that are more focused on the characters than the plot, though will make an exception if the comedy is especially well done.
He's a bit of a gamer, but only really enjoys single player games. He specifically prefers smaller indie platformers like hollow knight, shovel knight, etc..
He’s got a very relaxed attitude, which he often expresses through mischief and playing ignorant. He is very off-the-cuff when it comes to how he interacts with people, and will often say whatever first pops into his head, for better or worse.
He wears his emotions on his sleeve, and if he’s upset about something chances are you’ll know right away. He’s usually a pretty happy guy, but when the mood shifts, it’s almost a complete 180.
He highly values honesty, and would rather someone be blunt with him than try to spare his feelings. He’s not a fan of being given flowery words or people dancing around an issue for his sake.
That said, he does still try to emotionally connect with people who are having a rough time, and will often adapt to the people around him. Need cheering up? He’s a great distraction. Need a shoulder to cry on? He’ll comfort you all night. He’s not the best with words, but he’ll do what he can to put smiles on his friend’s faces.
Backstory
Gale’s Underswap is much like any normal Underswap in the begginning. He was raised by his older brother (his swap sans), who is training to be a royal guard and to be the hero his little brother always thought of him as. The two grew up in Snowdin, though Gale would often leave town to explore the dump and find new tech to tinker with. That’s where he met his Undyne, and the two would often talk about their experiments over Undernet. Gale is very close with Undyne, and considers her his best friend.
This peaceful, happy life is interrupted with the arrival of Chara. In this particular Swap AU, Chara begins to a no mercy run, makes it through Snowdin and finally reaches the border to Waterfall. Gale has decided to step in after seeing the disaster the human had caused, and he rushes in recklessly, hoping to stop them before they can reach Undyne and the other Waterfall monsters. Gale has decent HP and attack, and he figures that if Chara took a swing at him, he could tank it and knock them down in one blow.
He doesn’t know just how futile that would be.
The fight commences, both dodging each other’s attacks. Chara seems to predict Gale’s attacks, and dodges them easily. They wear Gale down, until he’s out of breath, and at their mercy. Chara swings their weapon one last time, but before they can hit Gale
Sans throws himself between them, reducing his HP to zero.
Gale watched Sans die in front of him, and being frozen, he just. Sits there. Shaking. Unable to move. It’s then that Chara snaps out of their trance. They realize what they’ve been doing. What hurt they’ve been causing. They try to reach out to Gale, but before they can touch him, he teleports away in panic. After this, Chara starts sparing monsters, effectively being a pacifist from this point. Eventually, Chara defeats Toriel, and they leave the Underground, seemingly to never be heard from again.
Gale, grief-stricken, moves in with Undyne. He helps Undyne with her experiments, and learns to code in order to earn his keep. He starts seeing a therapist through Undyne's encouragement, which helps a bit, but he never quite goes back to normal. He does eventually get used to masking his sadness, using his humor to get genuine laughs from his jokes and divert attention away from the things he’s not ready to talk about. With his brother and lifeline gone, he's also a lot more dependent on the people around him now. It's something he has to grow past.
3 years after Chara’s initial fall, another human falls, and is handed over to Captain of the Guard Alphys. Working with the human, she crosses the barrier. Undyne and Gale eagerly await news, and finally, after months, she returns with the seven souls needed to break the barrier. “Volunteers” she found. Chara included.
With this second chance being the kick in the pants he needs, Gale decides to move out of Undyne's, stop mooching, and build the better life his brother always wanted for him. It takes a lot of work, and those scars still run deep, but he's doing better for himself and actively working hard to better his life, as well as the lives of other monsters affected by the human.
It helps him sleep at night. Maybe one day it'll be more than just coping.
