So it turns out I'm losing enamel on my back teeth slightly sooner than the dentist would expect for someone of my age.
Thus I got measured for a mouthguard, which was admittedly fascinating since they scanned my mouth and I got to watch the 3D image of my jaws bring created!

Had the delightful pleasure of starting to fix my goddamn teeth today. I’m actually beyond excited, I’ve been saving for this for forever and needing it for more than 10 years. (Because obviously insurance won’t cover it even if you’ve got daily pain from teeth grinding/clenching.) Wisdom teeth are rude. My front teeth do not touch, but by August of next year they finally will 😭 and now a bunch of my teeth have little shark fin buttons!
Dental care should be free and NO shame if you’ve struggled with dental health. I feel so lucky to be able to afford this and finally do this for myself. I wish it was easier for everyone to get the care they need.

I called my dentist today about my crown because I still wasn't sure if they were going to cover it or not
When I called at first they said no. But when I said I had it for only 13 months and then asked if that was normal she put me on hold.
The dentist has agreed to do it for free as a “courtesy”
