Good Afternoon Mochi’s Angels! 🍡🪽
I’m late on my daily post today, because work actually has my working and not hyper fixating on Just Pretend, the audacity of having to work at work.🙄😂But with chapter 22 being dropped last night I wanted to throw together some JP photos that give the vibes of “Photos in Angels camera roll from the days & nights she spent over at the boys house”. I absolutely love Angel’s relationship with the guys and how quickly they all took to each other. So I definitely feel like with Angel & Salem spending more time over at the new place that they would all grow closer and just have the silliest goofiest nights together. Thank you both again for such a wonderful chapter! I absolutely cannot wait for this next phase and for this album release party AND for Angel & Mochi to see each other’s new looks. could you do Xander as a dad hcs?
okay so heres my thing... i imagine max and xander not having kids but being the cool aunt and uncle that all their nieces and nephews want to hang out with but i'll still do it because you have to satisfy the people. so if they did have kids then i would imagine that it would be one boy and one girl
~ xander teaches his son how to fix cars while he's young all the way through his teenage years just like xander's dad did
~ him and his daughter bond over their love of sweet stuff
~ xander also makes sure that his son has ALLL the stuff that he needs to take care of his hair because xander has trauma of being uneducated when he was younger
~ he plans his daughter a giant sky zone birthday when shes younger... not only because she asked but also for his own enjoyment
~ this isn't really about xander but the fact that his kids would be raised by him and max would literally make them the silliest, goofiest kids on planet earth

Ramble to me boy
!!!! ohmigosh masc term used for me /vvvvpos
sO!! Silva first because I really like plant. Silva is, essentially, my antagonist. It is not aggressive, but ready to fight if aggravated. Plant caused all of Apparatus’s injuries and memory loss. Silva is a guardian of the forest, but its position was never official. Plant just kinda… decided to be there and murdered/maimed anyone who dissented. It controls vines, using them to strangle plant’s enemies. Silva is usually neutral in fights, but likes to cause arguments.
[the following lore contains self-harm]
Shroom Guy. The original. He started it all. They were born in the forest, but left before Silva arrived. He was infected by an animal bite, which caused them to leave in the first place, and the infection caused the shrooms growing from Shroom Guy’s body. They have tried to forcibly remove the shrooms, but it only resulted in his own injury. While Shroom Guy never received any judgement from their peers or anyone around him, they still view the infection as a disgusting and horrible feature. This causes him to have horribly low self-esteem.
Notata!! Notata is part-spider, part-who-knows-what! She was born this way, and loves herself, even though (unlike Shroom Guy) she was teased quite frequently for it. She can weave very strong webs, but the spiderwebs that serve as her hair are very fragile. She only has four eyes, the other two ripped out by disliked her appearance. She doesn’t talk much.

Finally, APPARATUS!! Possibly the silliest, most traumatized, goofiest OC I’ve made, other than Phobos. Can you tell I like robots? It had a relatively happy life, and a caring family. The forest was not a place he ventured to often, as it liked to spend his time in its workshop. One poor unfortunate day, Apparatus happened to need some herbs from the forest, and ended up insulting Silva with its ignorance of the rest of the world. Silva, angered by its blissful ignorance, figured that, if he didn’t mind what happened to the rest of the world, then it wouldn’t matter if it knew nothing at all. Plant removed parts of Apparatus’s body, limbs, and part of its head. The only memories he had were how to work machines, mostly muscle memory. It managed to fix himself up after stumbling out of the forest a bloody mess, but when it told the rest of the people in his village about its encounter, it was labeled as insane, and locked away in an asylum, where he slowly lost care for its physical form, starting to pick at the skin that connected to his mechanical parts, causing the screws to rust. This is where its story is currently.

3: What is something they really like about themselves and that you really like about them?
he's pretty hard on himself for most things but something i think he prides himself on is his quidditch skills. as for me, i like everything about him. he's my baby boy.
8: What is a smell that makes them feel at home?
hmm... probably lavender. i imagine his mother wore sort of a lavender scented perfume before she died.
12: What is their safe place? And what does "safe place" mean to them?
jamie's safe place is 1000% at home. in general he's very extroverted and can feel 'safe' just about anywhere, but at home, with his extended family, he feels the most comfortable and cared for. a safe space to him is any place he can feel relaxed and like himself without having to worry about anything at all.
13: Do they prefer warm or cold temperatures? What is their favourite season and why?
he's definitely more of a warm weather guy, but he can appreciate winter and some good snow. the best season for him is spring because the weather is almost always pretty moderate. although his bf has a pretty bad pollen allergy so it's not all good...
20: What is their hidden talent? Is it a skill they've been practising since childhood or is it something they just happened to know but never got to show?
baking! he's a really good baker, a skill that carried over from his childhood. when he was little he and his dad would bake together a lot, probably as a way to cope with the loss of jamie's mother. he doesn't have much time to bake anymore because of school, quidditch, etc, but he's often the one who bakes cakes/treats for friends' birthdays and such.
32: Draw or describe the silliest outfit you can think of. It's now in their wardrobe!
i think the goofiest outfit that he'd own and wear regularly would be one of those animal pyjama onesie things. typically he's very put-together and cares somewhat about his clothes, but i also think sometimes he'd wear something silly like that. it would be in the likeness of a magical creature. likely a diricawl because those look the goofiest to me.
41: If they were a bath bomb, what scents and colours would you use to describe their personality?
this is a hard one tbh. i think he would be a bath bomb that would smell very fresh, probably with pine or fir oil. it would be blue and green, because they are very calming colours supposedly, and i think he's the kind of guy that has a very relaxing presence/aura.

THIRST WATCH #6: “G.I. Blues”
Let’s start from my most important observation: Tulsa is a ridiculous name. Does it win the crown of Elvis’ most absurd screen name? Wait, or is it just a nickname because he’s from Oklahoma? (🎼 or Arizona… what does it matter? 🎼 )
Tulsa is the goofiest of Elvis’ characters in terms of facial expressions. I don’t know why I voted to “kill him” in the Elvis movies poll. Maybe because this was the first movie Elvis did when he came back from the army and honestly it was a sheer cry from “King Creole”. It’s not Tulsa’s fault, though, more like Hal Wallis’.
The first two songs sucked, so I was happy when a soldier played “Blue Suede Shoes” on the jukebox. Meta moment there. So, how does ElvIs Presley look like in the G.I. Blues universe? Does he look exactly like Tulsa McLean, is Tulsa aware that he really looks like Elvis or does Elvis look different in this universe lol? 😂 I gotta occupy my time because the plot of this movie is paper thin.
It’s so evident that they filmed some external scenes in Germany without Elvis and then the rest was done in a soundstage in Hollywood.
Classic plot where a guy bets with his friends that he can get the girl and then he falls in love with her, with the caveat that it wasn’t really his idea because Elvis had to be the good boy bla bla bla. The girl wasn’t even hard to get. I would have loved to see Elvis being challenged at least, since the premise is so predictable.
Elvis ate too many pretzels while he was in Germany and his skin is not great (or maybe the makeup department wanted to save some money).
Why did they throw in the fact that Tulsa is part Native American without a reason? They were obsessed with this “exotic” thing about EP back then.
West Germany in 1960 is a country where everybody speaks excellent English and says “ja wohl” all the time! 😂
I liked the Italian girl, Tina. I found her more beautiful than Elvis’ girl, Lili. I looked her up, the actress is really Italian.
Elvis almost had as much chemistry with that puppet than with Ann-Margret. I hate the song “Wooden Heart”, by the way. If you want to torture me play that song over and over. Elvis it’s a good sport: even in the silliest of songs, he gives it all.
The babysitting scene was funny. Do you think Elvis was that clumsy with Lisa Marie?
When he hugs the girl in the cable car, woah, I wanna be held in his arms like that… and he’s been dead for 45 years! 😭
I kinda liked that he “Didja ever” at the end, where Elvis breaks the fourth wall.
That’s it. I don’t have much to say about this. Overall, okay movie. Enjoyable and lighthearted, but with mediocre songs. Elvis is super charming and the whole thing works only because he holds the screen so well. He’s more cute than hot in this movie.

he reminders me of a lot of rotties ive met who look like scary dogs, like they dont know their own weight/play rough, but are also the single goofiest dogs you'll ever meet, super dramatic if theyre not getting attention from their favourite people, only rough with people who can handle it but very gentle with those who cant, super protective, eager to please and so so sweet (so yea thats basically eddie)
he reminds me so much of that, like he just wants to be loved for who he is, and openly love someone else without being seen as just a casual one night stand, or an interesting couple dates, or too scary and different to even be approached yknow. i bet he daydreams about commitment ahkshdkjflfj
i think thats why i like your eddie so much cause he's protective of others and knows how to use his image to protect himself, but is also the silliest, sappiest, sweetest person ever and you write that side of him so well!!

Stranger Things is a questionable show, that's the truth of it. I think the first season was brilliant and part of the reason I liked season 4 so much was because it got back that sort of scooby doo vibe that was so fun about the first one, that the Hawkins gang were trying to work everything out and getting into hijinks ahaha. But the whole Russia storyline? Simply could have done without it. There was a post going round a while ago that was like st 1 was good because it was about things but now stranger things is just about stranger things and I think that hit the nail on the head.
I think it benefits from interesting characters and very good casting all round. The young people in the show are (or were now?) uniquely good child actors (Gaten, Caleb and Sadie in particular imo). Also think Joe Keery was an inspired choice for Steve. He brought such brilliant vulnerability to Steve, so great to watch the scene of him seeing Nancy and Jonathan through the window and just before Nancy slaps him how sad he looks when he's trying to put on a tough front; 'I was worried about you.' My god. I DIGRESS.
Eddie <333 EDDIE <3333333 I think I've established I could talk about him for a million years. He haunts me. First just the thought of somebody being treated poorly by God knows how many people, and ending up as someone who collects bullied kids and gives them a safe place 'we showed you that high school didn't have to be the worst years of your lives' JESUS FUCK IF ONLY. Would have been nice. Idk if I've mentioned but I'm PRETTY SHY irl so...yeah. Would have been nice.
And THEN I think about the fact he used his last words to make Dustin promise to look after the group...to tell him that he loves him!!! Can't think about it too much but my God. That's so important. That's his priority in that moment. His little group having somebody to look after them fuck I'm crying.
AND that he tells Dustin to never change!!!! This little bullied boy!!! Like Eddie himself was when he was young!!!! AaaaaaaggggggggghhhhhhHhhhhhHHhhhhHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
And also he's so sweet to Chrissy. Just like the sweetest. Sees this girl silently screaming for help and puts the effort into making her feel SAFE!!! Giving her a little GIGGLE at HIS EXPENSE. FUCK.
So yes I think you are exactly right. I think he plays up to what people think of him when he knows he's not going to be able to change their mind and he thinks well fuck it hate me more then. I think he could swing a punch if he had to and if he was being hit he'd keep being provocative but I feel it in my BONES that he flirts with straight boys who are bullying him to make them wildly fucking uncomfortable I JUST KNOW IT cause I think he loves pushing buttons.
But yes, the sweetest around people who need it. And desperate to be loved and accepted. I think you're right I think he might have a go at one night stands cause he's a horndog it can't be denied but he thinks about somebody just adoring him and wanting him all the time and doing things for eachother and them not being ashamed of him or wanting him to change him and man...I must stop.

BIG FIRST!!
First Impression: (me at around tween years) Why do you exist??? What is the point of your character?? are you some kinda bad joke?
Impression now: I LOVE THIS GENTLE FISHERMAN BOY UNDERRATED AND ADORABLE. FRIEND-SHAPED. ONE OF THE TOP FAVOURITES //BABBLES OF LOVE
Favourite moment: Honestly I just tend to love the little moments where he's just vibing and being adorable. Although I do love the occasional moments of him just showing how powerful he really can be if he wanted to. Like when he stopped uh... Silver Sonic? One of those metal sonics with his bare hands!
Idea for a story: Well, he is included in a few of my AU's but there is ONE story for him alone that I'm trying to work on... trying. Basically combines him and Werehog lmao Mostly exploring how he'd handle a similar condition and exploring his perspective and his own mindset.
Unpopular Opinion: I don't think Big is as dumb as he lets on! Sure that might seem a bit silly, but honestly, I don't believe hes' totally dumb, sure he doesn't seem too bright, and his carefree and relaxed attitude adds to it. But I like to think he just... thinks about things in a different manner.
Favourite Relationship: Im' assuming this means canon relationships cause i dont' wanna go down the ship lane for this but I honestly love seeing his relationship with Amy and Cream. He's like a Big Brother figure to them and it's ADORABLE!!
Favourite Headcanon: That he's neuro-divergent and on the autism spectrum. <3 And fish are his special interest that he can ramble on to a shocking degree. Struggles to talk a lot in conversation but if you talk to him or ask him a fish-related question. Que in really thorough rambling.
NOW STORM (i don't really keep up with the idw comics but LOOK AT THAT FACE)
First impression: Um... just a big dumb guy... i guess. Okay... not much I can think to do with you so just //shoves into corner
Impression now: Underrated and has so much potential. HE'S A HIMBO AND H'ES TRYING HIS BEST. love to play around with him in my AU's and making him more interesting.
Favourite moment: I love his silly clumys little moments like BARGING into Jet's office or pulling the silliest goofiest faces in the comics from what I've seen. He just makes me giggle. One moment that's always made me laugh was the face he made when he was about to punch that Elder Zeti thgthgfh
Story idea: Tbh i've actually love to explore how he would be y'know. On his own. I know the closest I've gotten to a story idea was a backstory for him. I imagine he's older than Jet and Wave and serves as a big brother figure to them (Even if it doesn't seem like it) but it just makes me wonder... what if they were in a scenario where he was older and had to take care of them while they were still young and had to do what he could to get by and support them.
Unpopular opinion: Similarly to Big. I believe there's more to him than being a dumb musclehead. I like to believe he has more than he lets on (intentionally or not). And I actually think that out of all of the Rogues, he'd be the first to give up the thieving lifestyle if given the option.
Favourite Relationship: Honestly since we see him mostly only interact with the other Rogues I get interested seeing how he interacts with anyone outside of the Rogues. I know his interactions with Amy in one of the Riders game was interesting but I don't remember a lot of it.
Favourite Headcanon: That he's actually really into food and out of all the Rogues is the best at cooking and his one of his hidden talents although he doens' think he's THAT great. The kitchen is his safe space and he refuses to let Wave and Jet cause chaos in there. "YOU GO TO YOUR OFFICE AND YOU GO TO YOUR WORKSHOP THIS IS MY SPACE!"
Bonus favourite headcanon is that Storm is the older cousin of Wave and Jet, or are siblings (half, step or adopted idk you get the idea)
