I'm cryinggg Jess and Rory from "Gilmore Girls" are an Ashwini couple, I knew it -- I am SO familiar with this dynamic. Ketu girl being an intelligent goody two shoes/bookworm and the Ketu guy being an intelligent 'bad boy' bookworm too, both connecting over their love for literature and nobody else understands them as much as they understand each other for that period. Also, them being the best ship to come outta that show.

ashwini nakshatra 🍯

ashwini nakshatra occurs at 0.00° - 13.20° of aries, ruled by ketu and influenced by mars. it is the first nakshatra of the twenty-seven lunar mansions, in a sense marking itself as the original ascendant point. planet sun becomes exalted in ashwini specifically and funnily enough the sun rises on the eastern horizon - where all of our ascendant signs are calculated from. ashwini is the dawn of the sun x

the word ashwini literally means "horse-woman" or "a beautiful stallion". despite the yoni of this nakshatra being a male horse the word ashwini translates to something quite feminine. a horse is the main symbol of this nakshatra, making it very important when understanding the qualities of ashwini. horses are a symbol of good health, vitality, beauty and opulence. the quality of ashwini is light and swift, aligning well with horses characteristically speaking. this nakshatra is fast, powerful, wild yet elegant and graceful.

additionally, the bird that symbolises ashwini nakshatra is an eagle. a bird that represents a kind of fierce beauty, proud independence, freedom and strength.

i would also like to add that just as how not all aries people are the same, not all ashwini people are the same either. the padas distinguish the nakshatra further into fourths. each pada essentially is a sign that planet falls within in our navamsa charts. the pada will indicate certain traits attributed to the sign in our navamsa charts.

the ashvini kumaras are the gods of ashwini, they are twin horse headed deities. their mother was wife of sun, suyra. she had once fled her husband due to his immense heat, taking on the form of a female horse, venturing far away into the woods in order to recuperate. she had casted a shadow of sorts or a clone of herself to take care of her affairs at home. although, suyra eventually figured the reality of the situation, from there he swiftly took form of a horse and ran after her. upon reunion the two made love in their horse forms and the ashvini kumaras were then born.

this story portrays many things, the first being a tendency to run-away from our issues in life whether literally or metaphorically. this can manifest in someone's life through forms of escapism and even deception. although this theme of running away from our problems tends to be for the purpose of regaining our own vitality and peace, finding ourselves once more.

the second key message in the story is that of loyalty and devotion. suyra's wife did not wish to leave his side, she temporarily distanced herself from her husband for her own health and well-being. this is why ashwini individuals tend to remain loyal in love despite their apparent independence, boldness and awareness of their own needs. for this reason, sun becomes exalted in ashwini nakshatra, specifically occurring at 10° of aries - pada four. ashwini pada four resembles the most softest and compassionate side of ashwini as it falls in the sign of cancer in our navamsa charts, this is why suyra thrives best here. ashwini is the true wife of sun.

another note is that suyra's wife married a man of high status, he is literally the hottest. this is why ashwini is often times attributed to opulence and luxury. additionally, horses are symbolic of wealth in society which has been quite a timeless association. although money and fame is not the motive of ashwini women, just a little side note.

miraculous healing

the asvini kumaras are celestial physicians to the gods. there are copious amounts of stories told of the twins performing medical miracles for others. they most notedly cure blindness specifically, but also regenerated the health, well-being, youth and beauty of others. the twins were knowledgeable on the sciences, medicine and art of surgical practice but had a thirst for divine and occult knowledge in order to 'cut to the chase' so to speak with their miracle workings.

the fact that the asvini kumaras primarily cure blindness is quite significant. when we think of eyesight, visible perception and light, suyra's exaltation within ashwini provides deeper reason. ketu on the other hand, resembles a dark force of ultimate nothingness, metaphorical blindness. it is just like to say that our literal pupils are just twin black holes of empty space, with those same eyes all that can be taken in is the immense light of suyra. the story portrays the act of curing blindness as miraculous, meaning attributed to divine working, acknowledging the divinity of our own vitality. in ashwini nakshatra health and well-being is expressed as something divine with a sense of regenerated youth. ashwini individuals are able to peer through beyond the veil so to speak, entwined with the affairs of tangible and internal realties, the seen and unseen.

characteristically the asvini kumaras are painted as youthful and delightful deities, even a mischievous and cunning pair with good intentions. they are interested in the secrets of divinity and are willing to take short cuts or loopholes in order to learn quickly. they are highly compassionate and in tune with the needs of others. ashwini people tend to be very light-hearted and don't take things too seriously. their cunning and intelligent nature ultimately negates any mistaken nativity in their character.

when discussing the physical appearance, it is important to note that our other placements will garner influence over the appearance in our charts too - specifically speaking our moon, sun and ascendant. i believe too that first or second house lord placed in ashwini will result similar features.

one of the most notable traits of ashwini women is their lips, they are usually wide, if not they'll be quite moderate in length, along with moderate plumpness. the cheekbones of these women tend to be high set too along with a moderately pointed chin - the face is usually tight in structure despite the overall length. the most common eye shape i have seen with these women is slightly hooded and large eyes, especially with ashwini ascendant and moon. overall these women physically possess a quite youthful and elegant kind of beauty.

South Node and how we detached from our partners: Synastry Edition part 2

Ok, I have to say that even though SN is a really karmic point in our chart, I recently found out that all that theory of reincarnation and past life is something really recent (apparently) and in old vendic astrology they consider North Node and South Node shadow planets, I don't necessarily dismiss the reincarnation and past karma theory, but in my little research I found interesting how they see this shadow planets like a challenging energy (malefics), for North Node is mainly known for its obsessive, tricky and materialistic characteristics (due to its lack of a physical body) and the South Node is known for it's detachment, elusive and introspective characteristics (due to the lack of a head).

Accordingly to what I already explained, I notice that it makes a lot of sense to see their effect in that area of our chart, and in the area of others chart (synastry), I notice something that change a lot in old vendic astrology is that they don't try to make people erase their SN, instead they encourage people to learn both lesson (Rahu and Ketu) and also Ketu, even with it's malefic energy, is really prominent in charts of great astrologers.

With that in mind, we can say Ketu make us detached from all the material word and the tangible, so it's effects force an introspection (the kind of introspection is going to be dictated by the sign Ketu is in) that is going to take away our physical sense in the area of our life, example: if you have Ketu in cancer in the 5th house, your going to have an emotional introspection that make you detached to your children, your creative project, your childhood or your inner child, this is to gain a sense of reflection and individualism (a head) in that area of our life.

Now we will see how ketu detachment can manifest in synastry depending of the axis it touch:

Their/ your ketu in the 7th house: This is twin flames placement for sure, Ketu person probably find a lot in common with the house person (Rahu in the 1st house), this can be great, but also can bring a lot of jealousy into the interaction, Ketu person may feel lacking in front of house person, and this could turn an instant click into a passive aggressive approach to the other, ketu person is unable to not notice house person, but they'll try to dismiss any potential relationships they could have with house person; that's when Ketu person may start to mimic house person behavior (trying to get a reaction), but then dismissing house person likeability or attractiveness, ketu person motivated by their own insecurities (Rahu in the 1st house) will denied any interest they may feel in the other person. I studied a case where Ketu person actively did stuff to provoke the house person, but then just acted like house person was crazy when confronted, honestly this placement can bring a lot of gaslighting if not develop.

Their/ your Ketu in the 8th house: Stalker tendencies can come with this placement, specially the house person can feel a lot of intrigue for the Ketu person. House person feel extreme dislike for Ketu person, but somehow they still obsess with what Ketu person do, may even extort Ketu person cause they feel a need to control Ketu person dangerous side; also Ketu person may feel entitled of house person possessions, so it's not unusual seeing this in s*x workers who trick guys, or guys (house person) who wants to dominate s*x workers (Ketu person). Do you have any thoughts on spirituality shaped by Rahu vs. Ketu? I find that a lot of New Age concepts like soulmates, twin flames, angel numbers, synchronicities, spirit guides and the higher self are illusory and Rahu-based. It's been my personal experience that such beliefs are anxiety-inducing and do not bring any peace of mind or clarity at all. A few people I know have also spoken about being led down a path that's wrong for them.

Are The Nodes Responsible for our Perception of Spirituality?

It is not the concept itself that is to blame. It's the use or interpretation of it.

People throw around words like "twin flame" to excuse bad relationships. They use the idea of a spirit guide to remove responsibility for their life. That is the negative side of Rahu, using a lie to not take responsibility for one's path. That naturally creates anxiety, because you can't lie to your subconscious...so the truth will nag at you and regurgitate, through making you anxious.

But that doesn't mean, that spirit guides don't exist for real. I talk about these kind of concepts on my tiktok. The idea itself is never the enemy. Most concepts have a root, somewhere, in some form. The flaw is in the person misusing the idea.

Even if someone is making such a mistake, they always have the chance to refresh how they view things and make a positive change in their life.

Ia pikir mereka hanya akan basi-basi untuk sesaat, memperlihatkan bahwa mereka adalah orang baik karena tidak mengabaikan Bintang yang terlihat kesepian. Namun tidak, ketiga manusia itu sama sekali tak berniat meninggalkannya, mereka terus-terusan membanjirinya dengan cerita dan candaan yang sama sekali tak ia mengerti.

Astrology observations part two

I know huge hiatus and all, didn’t come online but on the other note, I joined college in offline mode, and it is so much fun, hope everyone is keeping well and I’ll try to update more often!

In Vedic astrology, we usually go a sign back from western astrology (technically 24’ before), so according to that for example, if you’re a libra rising, you become a Virgo rising in Vedic astrology, and so on and so forth. All planets will also shift back a sign, so a Capricorn Mercury will become a Sagittarius Mercury. So in the case, you’re reading for a western chart, keep these things in mind. Since I largely practice Vedic astrology, my observations will be based on these placements themselves.

Moon in Rohini for anyone causes promiscuousness, especially being the person who enters into relationships with ‘taken’ people or aren’t bothered by the consequences of engaging in relationships with such people.

7th lord in the 6th house causes a person to get a spouse who may have addictions such as alcohol intake or substance abuse, especially if the involvement of rahu or mars is present.

Moon or ascendant in Mula causes an innate love for garlic, onions, and other root vegetables.

Men with Venus in Revati can be attracted to women much taller than them.

Similarly, women with Jupiter or Venus in Revati, may be prone to entering into relationships with large height gaps, with them being the shorter or taller person.

Sun in Bharani causes the father to stutter while speaking, or sometimes can cause extreme shaking or instability of hands or anxiety.

Mercury in Krittika can cause people to cut each other off in conversations.

5th lord in krttika can cause people to give their kids up for adoption or be a child who was adopted themselves.

Ketu in 5th house can cause a caesarean birth or triplets/twins.

Jupiter in Ardra can cause people to be distant from their parents and cause cheating between their parents’ relationships.

Saturn in the 7th house or Mercury in Shatbishta can cause people to have issues with hearing, either extremely heightened or very dulled.

Prominent venus in someone’s chart or a powerful Venus can cause people to be prone to styes and eye problems.

A prominent aries in a chart can make people look horse-like or have very prominent teeth.

Fire placements, especially Aries in the 1st house or around any personal planet can cause people to have curly hair and be prone to heat boils.

Mars and Saturn in Gemini cause skin problems.

People with prominent Anuradha Nakshatra can be fond of traveling or alternatively be mistaken for different ethnicities a lot.

Prominent 6th house or Virgo or Scorpio placements can cause people to be perfectionists to the level where they can be embarrassed by friends and family if they dress shabby or untidily, they also hate people touching their stuff but they do it very very subconsciously.

11th HOUSE SYNASTRY - THIS SYNASTRY DOESNT MEAN SOMEONE SEES YOU AS A FRIEND OR YOU ARE BETTER OFF AS FRIENDS, STOP REPEATING THIS SURFACE LEVEL SHIT YOU’VE BEEN EATING UP FROM MODERN ASTROLOGY POSTS. This is the house of wealth and gains, it’s the fullfillment of our desires and sudden profits. It’s an indicator of your sources of income and allies. So of course, you will have strong foundation with someone you have 11th house synastry with because it will be built on a ground of trust and support. You CAN’T predict the longevity of a relationship based on house overlays. Ever heard of Davison charts? Anyway, prominent 5th house is anohter EXCELLENT synastry. It often donates a relationship where you can discuss ANYTHING - your wildest thoughts, plans and experiences. Someone you jump from topic to topic. Very often the planet person is the “childlike” one which the house person adores and takes inspiration from. Planet person becomes a ball of joy and energy that makes the house person destress and cheer up, thought it can feel like an ‘overdose’ sometimes. Both parties become some sort of an energy source for each other. You play games together, indulge in fun activities, create things (can even be an invention) together. Even doing nothing and just talking to each other feels fun and full of laughter (unless there are some other placements disturbing this synastry). This is the synastry of never-ending honeymoon. 12th HOUSE SYNASTRY - There’s a lot of stigma around his house (8h as well) and people often fear it. Weeeeeell...It IS a karmic house so people you have this synastry with are likely to be karmic partners. HOWEVER, don’t take this to oH NO this is not my TWIN FLAME this is a KaRmiC pErson shit. Literally almost everyone is a karmic partner lmfao, there’s a difference between good and bad karma. This synastry can play out good or bad depending on your own individual karma with this person and how you are managing your life. You can look to Rahu/ketu & saturn to get more info on the karma and to see how it’ll play out. Basically the planet person becomes your escape especially if their sun/moon falls into your 12h. They can end up being your savior. There’s an undeniable theme of profound change that this synastry brings. It often leads you to liberation, through a path of restriction. You need to overthrow the restrictions the other person brings to achieve total liberation. This is often a part of the soul’s karma. A couple with this overlay often keeps a secluded relationship from their relatives (maybe even ghost their families lol) and tend to travel together. in my previous post, i had mentioned how Uttarashada natives love grandness and glamour. the more i look into it, the more i see these natives indulge in that old world, royaltycore aesthetic. its always go big or go home for them

If you watch the movie, you can see how its overloaded with astrological symbolism (its based on a fairytale, so thats not surprising)

the color blue is used throughout the first half of the film when the princess is in her own kingdom, traditionally blue is associated with Saturn. Shani/saturn is our karma, which teaches us things the hard way. The princess (unwillingly) has to leave the comfort of her palace and kingdom, assume the form of a donkey and go work as a pig-keeper. She loses everything she has ever known and has to work her way up from scratch, this is a typical Saturnian journey and most people experience this during their Saturn return (Saturnian folks experience this all their lives).

the color red is used throughout the second half of the movie, in association with the Prince's kingdom. Red is typically associated with Sun and Mars in vedic astrology. as the princess works out her karma and integrates her shadow, she blossoms into a fully integrated individual, this means she has cultivated her identity and the strength to act upon it. from a passive, weak willed princess in her father's castle, who was willing to marry her father due to her fear of hurting him by refusing to do so, she transforms into someone who moulds her own fate through her own actions. (Sun + Mars)

The fact that she assumes the form of a Donkey, itself is very symbolic. Donkeys, in vedic astrology is often the vehicle of Gods. Therefore, it serves as the door that governs her transition from passivity to individuation.

the Prince saw her for her true nature, although everyone around was convinced that she's just a filthy, hideous Donkey Skin clad servant. When the Prince slips her ring back on to her finger, she transforms back into her original self (true love is a mirror that reminds us of who we really are and gives us the courage to shed our worldly personas). The dress she wears then, is a golden one, originally given to her by her father when she said she wanted a dress "like the sun". Yellow is associated with Jupiter. After enduring the trials of Saturn, the Princess who became Donkey Skin, once again becomes a Princess, except now she has freedom. Saturn's teachings guide us to Jupiter's blessings. The movie's ending showing us that once the Princess had successfully overcome her trials and now embraced her true nature.

moon in vedic astrology signifies the person’s mind and their emotions. it also symbolises their home and mother. what follows is a description of fundamental characteristics of the native. although can be interpreted as traits of their mother and home environment as well.
