There are two major issues with the premise of this post.
The first one is pinning all eating disorders and tendencies for perfectionism on Venus Nakshatras. That is not realistic and there is a variety of combinations in one’s chart that can lead to that.
The common denominator with Venusian Nakshatras is their ability to fetishize pain, bleeding and scarring and turn it into art. That’s why, as it is mentioned, they are capable of waging wars in the name of their beliefs, as they propagate cruelty as a means of achieving something they find to be beautiful.
And that leads me to my other point, a lack of understanding of Claire’s research, when she talks about “corrosiveness”.
This applies to our human psyche and our tendency to go along with the superficial. We are repulsed by what appears to be ugly, but attracted to what appears pleasant.
Here is where the true natures of Venus and Mars deceive us. Mars is “externally corrosive” because it rules scars and is asymmetrical. Its outside facade may even be repulsive, as it carries the marks of all the conflicts one went through. But internally, it is a moral planet, pure in nature, enduring injustice and fighting for the right causes, acting in the name of innocence and protecting others.
Venus is an “internally corrosive” planet not because of its suffering, but because its immoral and oriented towards self gain at all cost. Venus does nothing for others if it doesn’t see its own gain in it, and cultivates a tightly controlled, selective circle of alliances that it views as mutually profitable. It believes in natural selection, purity of offspring and survival of the fittest. Venus represents the cruelty of nature on planet Earth, oriented towards reproduction and promoting extension of the species by discarding weakness and enhancing only the best traits being passed on. That’s why Venus is friends with Saturn, the law of karma and regulation, as they meet together on the concept of death and rebirth and reaping what one sowed.
People get fooled by Venus because it possesses external advantages, beauty, inherited wealth and privilege, which contributes to having a desirous veneer. But inside, they are critical, ruthless and unsympathetic, believing only in what enhances their own power. Behind the mask of perfect politeness there is a tactical calculation, unconcerned with anyone else’s feelings.
The one interesting point that this post made, is how popular Venus Nakshatras are in celebrity elites. These people have success often because they’re born into the privilege of it, but the whole world speaks of their internal corruption.
The reason for such a state of things is that Venus Nakshatra stage follows Ketu. Ketu exposes us to experiencing the height of cruelty and teaches us about the necessity to survive. Ketu burns us out and deprives us of hope. In Ketu we experience death while we’re still alive, as we burn away everything completely, cutting ourselves off from our past down to the core of our heart, all so that we can survive. That is because Ketu teaches us, that the things that were the closest to our hearts were the one’s haunting us, killing us and chasing us into our demise, so we develop certain coldness as a result of so much betrayal.
By Venus, we have Ketu’s wisdom so we understand that the crucial point of survival is advantage and positioning oneself well. That’s why Venus rules extending the personal victory, that one first experienced in Ketu after so much struggle. In a way, Venus is where we first have the chance to secure our advantage after enduring quite a lot of torment non stop since Mars Nakshatra stage, which is almost half the zodiac wheel.
That’s why all the Venusian goddesses such as Ishtar, Innana or even Lilith are fierce and associated with cruelty. Unlike the nurturing Lunar goddesses, they keep a karmic score and they represent getting even, just as forces of nature always ultimately punish everyone’s wrongdoings.
The Internal Corrosiveness of Venus: Venusian Women & Self Harm
TW: self harm, abuse, suicide, violence, trauma
Claire had remarked that "Venus is internally corrosive whilst externally pleasant and Mars is externally corrosive but internally pleasant". This led me down a rabbit hole to try to understand whether this "internally corrosive" nature manifests as self harm & eating disorders and unfortunately, it does. Venusian women struggle with perfectionism and are extremely self-critical. Venusian energy is HARSH. Venus natives struggle to uphold a certain standard that they subject themselves too because if I'm being honest Venus is the OG "not like other girls girl", they believe they're better than others, and tbh in many ways they probably are but this also means they put undue pressure on themselves to keep being that way.
All Venusian naks are Ugra or "fierce" in nature and while I've talked about how Venusian violence and cruelty can be directed at others in my other posts, I think its worth mentioning how Venusians can be just as cruel to themselves. This is especially true of Venusian women as women internalise their problems while men wreak external havoc (like causing wards and killing people) but there are many male Venusians who struggle internally as well.
In ancient religions, Goddesses of love also had other functions or powers that had nothing to do with love
Tumblr media
the Egyptian Goddess Isis was the goddess of love, healing, fertility, magic, and the moon. She was the goddess of life and magic, Isis protected women and children and healed the sick.
She was a great magician, whose power transcended that of all other deities.
Tumblr media
The Mesopotamian Goddess Ishtar is the goddess of love and sexuality, and thus, fertility; she is responsible for all life, but she is never a Mother goddess. She is also the Goddess of War.
I'm using these examples to show that the ancients had a more complex and nuanced understanding of Venusian energy. One cannot worship love without understanding that "war" is a consequence of it. Love & war are not very different from each other. When someone believes in something and is willing to die for it, we find that to be very honourable. Sometimes this belief leads men to kill others over it and depending on the cause, we describe the war as "good" or "bad" (kill a bunch of fascists and then its a "righteous" war, if you kill innocent people, then its an unholy war etc). Being at a state of war describes Venusian nature very well since Venus is also connected to royalty and if you're born into royalty, you get to live a very "exclusive" very privileged life that few get to enjoy but the stakes are also that much higher since you could be beheaded or executed or exiled and live a life that is far worse than the average person.
In this post I want to explore how this "state of war" can manifest internally in an ordinary Venusian and contribute to self harm, eating disorders and drug abuse.
Tumblr media
Bella Hadid- Purvaphalguni Moon & Rising
Bella has admitted to smoking since she was a teenager and getting a rhinoplasty at 14. Her pro ana Tumblr from when she was a teen is infamous at this point. She has never openly spoken about it but it is widely speculated that she struggles with an eating disorder and possible drug abuse as well.
“I was the uglier sister. I was the brunette. I wasn't as cool as Gigi, not as outgoing,” she said. “That's really what people said about me.” I also feel like Venusians grow up feeling really ugly and completely unaware of their magnetism. They only really grow into their looks when they're older (obvs there are exceptions) and I think being bullied for what they have and don't have are also big themes.
Tumblr media
Demi Lovato- Bharani Moon
Demi has spoken about struggling with self harm, eating disorders and drug abuse.
Lovato said, “growing up, I had been bullied in school,” saying she “felt like an outsider," and "like an outcast,” but then she became friends with a girl who was popular. “One day, I asked her ‘how do you have all these friends?,’” Lovato noted, and the girl asked Lovato “do you party?" Lovato explained, "She asked me, 'Do you drink?,'" with Lovato saying that this was her first experience with drugs and alcohol, adding, “we experienced a lot of stuff together, drinking and using, and growing up.” Bharani being an outcaste nakshatra resulted in Demi feeling like one growing one :(((
Tumblr media
Taylor Swift- Purvashada Rising
Taylor opened up about her eating disorder in her documentary
Tumblr media
Lindsay Lohan- Bharani Moon
LiLo has struggled with self harm, drug abuse and battled eating disorders
Tumblr media
Oscar Wilde, Purvaphalguni Rising wrote The Picture of Dorian Gray
The plot goes like this : An attractive Englishman's image is captured in a painting that keeps him from ageing, when he exchanges his soul for eternal beauty. But for every sin that he commits, his image in the portrait rots.
This is a very deeply Venusian story, and very specifically Purvaphalguni esque because Purvaphalguni is the height of Venus. It can be said that its also true of Venusians in general. They are outwardly splendorous, they seem to have it all together but inwardly they tend to be inflicting wounds upon themselves in order to keep it all together.
Tumblr media
Johnny Depp- Purvashadha Moon
He has also battled eating disorders, self harm and drug abuse.
Tumblr media
Iggy Pop- Bharani Moon
"THERE IS EXTREME, there is legendary — and then there is Iggy Pop. Beginning in his earliest days with the Stooges taunting Ann Arbor frat boys and small town Michigan folk, Iggy made an art of excess: self-mutilation, self-exposure and self-destruction. His risky theatricality required an audience to respond, participate or get the heck out of there. And the sex and violence hardly stopped after the show was over."- this is how Rolling Stone described Iggy Pop and tbh this is a very Venusian description
In 1974, at his first solo concert dubbed The Murder of a Virgin. "Do you want to see blood?" Iggy asked the crowd, which howled affirmatively back at him. Then, at Iggy's urging, guitarist Ron Asheton, wearing a Nazi outfit, whipped Iggy repeatedly. Iggy began hurling racial epithets at a black spectator, hoping to goad the man into stabbing him with the steak knife he'd brought onstage. No luck, so he closed the set by carving an X into his chest himself.
Tumblr media
Marilyn Manson- Purvashadha Sun
He has struggled with self harm in the past (there are images online if you're interested) and in 2013, he tried to simulate self harm on stage by holding a knife to his wrist in the middle of a performance??
Tumblr media
Christina Ricci- Purvashadha Moon
Ricci has said she suffered from anorexia as a teenager and was sexually assaulted as a child. “There was no discussion at that time about trauma, and about recovering from those things, about PTSD,” she said. As a result, she ended up “acting out and coping in ways that weren't good."
Tumblr media
Robert Downey Jr- Bharani Moon, Mars in Purvaphalguni
its pretty well known that RDJ was severely addicted to drugs at one point and it started when he was a child and drugs was given to him by his dad:///
Tumblr media
Megan Fox- Purvashadha Rising
"I have body dysmorphia — I don't ever see myself the way other people see me," Fox said. "There's never a point in my life where I loved my body, never, ever." "When I was little, that was an obsession I had of, like, but I should look this way,"
‘However, at a certain point, I went through some trauma in childhood and I developed a pretty severe eating disorder and manic depression, which runs in my family, so there was definitely some wrestling with chemical imbalance going on,’ she shared.
its interesting how so many of these natives begin struggling with these issues very early in life
Tumblr media
Colin Farrell- Purvashadha Rising, Jupiter conjunct Ketu in Bharani
While he did not say that he had cut himself when he was younger, Colin Farrell had some self-inflicting behavior during his younger days. He spoke on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and said that he used to actually enjoy pulling out huge tufts of his hair.
Tumblr media
Pete Davidson- Purvaashadha Rising
'I used to bang my head against walls,' he admitted. 'If I couldn't deal with something -- if someone told me something sad or something I couldn't deal with I would bang my head against the wall, hoping I'd pass out because I didn't want to be in that situation because I couldn't handle that.
Tumblr media
Melanie Lynskey- Bharani Moon
“I stopped throwing up, mostly. It took a while. But that was a big one. I had, for a very long time, been on this diet that was basically 800 calories a day, and if I ate anything over 800 calories, I would throw up,” she said. “I was never bingey. Sometimes I’d be starving, and I’d have another teacup of Special K. Then I’d be like, ‘Well, now I gotta throw it up.’”
Tumblr media
Tila Tequila- Purvaphalguni Moon
On March 7, 2012, it was reported that Tequila had agreed to check into rehab after having reportedly "almost died" from an attempted suicide by overdosing on pills. The incident caused her to be hospitalized for a brain aneurysm. Tequila completed her rehab treatment on April 5, 2012.
Tumblr media
Jeffree Star- Purvashadha Moon
images of him self harming once went viral
Tumblr media
Till Lindemann- Purvashadha Sun
he's known for his SH scars and has even written poems about it in German??? its called "The poems: Knives on silent nights"
Tumblr media
Portia de Rossi- Rahu in Purvashadha 2h
she's struggled with an eating disorder
Tumblr media
Padma Lakshmi- Purvaphalguni Sun & Moon
"When filming "Top Chef," I consume about 5,000 to 8,000 calories a day,'' she wrote. "I typically gain anywhere from 10 to 17 pounds every season. Once I get home, what's taken me six weeks to gain takes me 12 weeks to take off. It's always a nail-biting extravaganza at fittings, praying that a few pretty dresses that came down the runway on a teenage model who is a size 0 will miraculously fit my 40-something body,'' she wrote. "Getting ready for the Emmys is always fun, and it's truly an honor to be nominated. But at the same time, in spite of my high metabolism, I worry each year that I'm not going to fit into anything nice. So, this year, I've decided my weight will not be my focus,'' she wrote. "If I need a bigger dress, so be it. That one day — or any day — on the red carpet isn't nearly as important as making sure my daughter doesn't measure her worth by her dress size."
i guess this is a more positive manifestation of Venusian self image struggles
Tumblr media
Jessica Alba- Bharani Stellium (Sun, Mercury & Venus)
“I was meant to feel ashamed if I tempted men,” she said. “Then I stopped eating a lot when I became an actress. I made myself look more like a boy so I wouldn’t get as much attention.”
Tumblr media
Katie Couric- Purvashadha Sun
“I wrestled with bulimia all through college and for two years after that,” she shared with Lovato while interviewing her, per Glamour. “I know this rigidity, this feeling that if you eat one thing that’s wrong, you’re full of self-loathing and then you punish yourself, whether it’s one cookie or a stick of gum that isn’t sugarless, that I would sometimes beat myself up for that. How do you have a healthy relationship with food, and say, ‘You know what, I can have one cookie and it’s OK?’ That is such a huge thing for people who wrestle with this.”
Tumblr media
Zayn Mailk- Purvaphalguni Moon
In his 2016 autobiography, Zayn, he shared it would sometimes cause him to go two or three days without eating a single bite of food. “Something I’ve never talked about in public before, but which I have come to terms with since leaving the band, is that I was suffering from an eating disorder. It got quite serious, although at the time I didn’t recognize it for what it was,” he wrote. “When I look back at images of myself—before the final tour—I can see how ill I was. The workload and the pace of life on the road put together with the pressures and strains of everything going on within the band had badly affected my eating habits. Food was something I could control, so I did.”
Tumblr media
Zoe Kravitz- Purvaphalguni Moon conjunct Ketu
“I think it was part of being a woman, and being surrounded by [fame],” she said. “I think it was definitely about being around that world, seeing that world. I felt pressured.” After playing an anorexic character in a movie, she hit her lowest of lows and was so malnourished that her immune system shut down. Months later, she decided to make a change. “I just felt it was different,” she said. “I don’t know… if a f—king spirit came over me and said: ‘You have to stop.’”
Tumblr media
Mel C, Purvaphalguni Rising
"When I was in the Spice Girls, the stress of suddenly being thrust into the limelight led me into an unhealthy relationship with food and exercise,” she told The Mirror in 2012. “I became obsessed about what I ate and I cut lots of food groups, like carbs and protein, out of my diet. I survived on fruit and vegetables and little else.”
Tumblr media
Nicole Scherzinger- Mars conjunct Rising in Purvaphalguni
"I really struggled with feeling like I fit in. I even had a hard time feeling like I fit into my own skin. I was really hard on myself and had a lot of struggles with self-esteem and a lot of insecurities,” she said. “Later on, that resulted in me having eating disorders because of my body dysmorphia.”

Thank you very much for your interpretation. I asked about what it's like to have your Rahu in a Ketuvian sign and Ketu in a Rahuvian sign. So I have my Rahu in Ashwini in the 12th house. So correct me if I'm wrong Mars is the dispositor. My Mars is in Hasta Nakshatra. My Ketu is in Swati in the 6th house. So dispositor would be Venus. I have my Venus in Purva Phalguni.
Thank you so much :)
It could be the reverse, because of the Ayanamsa I use and the precession of the equinoxes. I made posts about that, read them. You need to put your chart in the Sayana Ayanamsa.
So it could also be that your Rahu is in Taurus and Ketu is in Scorpio, which is actually good.
In any of these scenarios however, Mars and Venus are gonna be dispositors, like you said, so your life will swing between these planets.

I am so happy for you and grateful for the mention! Your Journey was very similar to my own, and I am excited to reblog this post, because it contains several logical points that further prove why Mula Galactic Center is the correct Ayanamsa.
My Journey With Ayanamsa
It feels fitting that my first astrological post be a write up on one of my most profound astrological journeys. I started studying astrology avidly when I was in my teens, and soon discovered the magic of Vedic Astrology & Nakshatras .
Learning of the Nakshatras and the beauty of what they have to offer opened up a world of knowledge and patterns that feel almost criminal to be aware of. I mean, no amount of knowledge or spirituality can be a 'cheat code' to bypass enduring and navigating Earthly life, but it just shocks me the pure transparency of the cosmic patterns found applying Vedic astrology. I mean, Tropical astrology without Nakshatras was already magical to explore, but Nakshatras took the cake haha.
Tumblr media
I noticed very early on that Lahiri Ayanamsa didn't seem accurate, but at the time I didn't know about Ayanamsa and was driving myself utterly mad trying to understand why not only my own, but other charts I'd observed seemed to off by at least a couple of degrees.
I am someone who is born at the end of a Nakshatra. The more I delved into Nakshatras, the more it became clear that somehow, I belonged to the latter Lunar Mansion to the one that showed up in many calculations.
Everything about me (and others who had the same dilemma), down to my personality, upbringing, mannerisms, art, outfit choices and even my physical appearance aligned with the prospect of calculations being altered at least a couple of degrees.
A lot of people told me that maybe some people are just anomalies, I even started theorising that maybe some peoples' spirits didn't inhabit their body until a couple of hours after birth (lol), but that was me clutching at straws- also, the ascendant would change too much if were the case & it were a birth time issue.
Eventually I discovered Ayanamsa, and I realised, I wasn't crazy!
I learnt that Lahiri Ayanamsa was the most commonly used Nakshatra only because it was the one selected by the Indian government. They needed one, consistent, passable calculation to settle confusions & standardize dates for various celebrations. The Ayanamsa was created by a Mathematician with little knowledge of astrology. There was just an urgent need to pick at least one, definitive calculation irrespective of if it was necessarily the most accurate. I mean, I'm sure they would've wanted it to be accurate too, but that wasn't the main goal.
I am quoting renowned Vedic astrologer, Ernst Wilhelm on this- but even NC Lahiri- the creator of Lahiri later admitted his own calculation was flawed, and if he went back in time he would alter it by a few degrees.
Before Lahiri Ayanamsa, the most commonly followed Ayanamsa were Revati based ayanamsas (True Revati, Usha/Shashi, Hipparchus, Sassanian).
Ernst Wilhelm devoted extensive time, observation, testing and intuitive understanding to cleverly creating his own Ayanamsa which ever since I discovered it, makes a world of sense to me. So many things in both my own chart & others' just clicked. There were a lot of inconsistencies I used to explain away by being like 'hmm it must be their d9' or 'huh, I guess their other placements are just stronger than that one'. I found that a lot of these things that didn't quite make sense were rectified by using Ernst's Ayanamsa.
Before finding Ernst Wilhelm's Dhruva Galactic Center (I can thank @makingspiritualityreal for my stumbling across it on tumblr, thankyou for sharing your knowledge lovely!! ♡), I used Raman Ayanamsa. I wasn't certain it was the absolute best one, but it did seemed to rectify a lot of the issues I was coming across- however there were many instances where I would for example; see and feel the influence of a transit a little bit before it occurred even using Raman calculations. So, I did suspect the degrees should be a little further forward, and Dhruva Galactic Center perfectly aligns with that.
The intuitive line of thought behind Wilhelm's Ayanamsa is also awesome! The concept that the 'correct' Ayanamsa would be based on the Galactic Center- the heart of our galaxy- which lies in the very middle of Mula, 'the root' 'the truth'... it just makes too much sense!
Since Ernst Wilhelm's Ayanamsa is only accessible through his Kala astrology software, I've been using Usha/Shashi Ayanamsa on Astroseek since it is ever so slightly different, but almost the same in value to Dhruva Galactic Center.
I am and always will keep an open mind when it comes to Ayanamsa and all astrological things; if I closed off my perception because one guy said one thing, I would not know even half of the things I know, but for now, that is my story/journey with Ayanamsa :)
I'm so grateful to know what I know, because I spent a good year of my life (when I should've been focusing in school among other things, lol) frantically trying to understand why the astrology I loved didn't seem to make mathematical sense, why some people and placements weren't fitting. To me, this has been a big test of my faith in my own intuition. I knew something was up, and I did think I was going mad for a while, but I followed that trail and found a wealth of knowledge I am blessed to have.
To be clear, I have no desire to force other people to follow the same calculation- I understand it would also be jarring for people. It would shift quite a lot of things for some people and all, but for what it's worth, I think part of being a good astrologer is keeping that open mind and heart to potential new information. Like with science- keep an open mind, entertain every idea, and don't fully latch onto something until you have sufficient reason to believe it!
Peace and love my guys! ♡

Hello, I was just wondering what the affects are of having your ketu in a Rahuvian sign and your Rahu in a Ketuvian sign? I personally have my Ketu in Swati (6th) and Rahu in Ashwini (12th). I'm not sure how to interpret what it is that my Rahu's desire is?
Thank you very much in advance.
I can easily answer this question because I have Rahu in Mula myself, although Ketu is in Mrigashira, not in Ardra.
From experience with both myself and clients, it is a difficult alignment for the human mind and one inclining more towards spirituality, let me explain why.
Rahu is the Maya, the illusion of control and experience of beauty of the material world. If life is a film, Rahu is the creator and enjoyer of the truth that we experience through the holographic illusion of the film.
Ketu is the shatterer of Maya. It is the ultimate holder of harsh spiritual truths. Ketu knows life is a game, plays it accordingly and has a certain irreverence for the “movie” that life is, because it understands that the illusion is just a pretext for a deeper experience.
In a chart, where the Nodes are aligned with this vision, we would have Ketu and Rahu in their own respective Nakshatras. As a result you get a person who has an intuitive spiritual understanding of the Universe, and as a result freely creates and revels in the Maya of Rahu, using spiritual truths to channel the Rahuvian creations. This kind of soul basically has a free pass to make the most out of their life experience.
But what happens when the situation is reversed, with either one or both of the Nodes? Such a native experiences various degrees of Karmic bondage, that they need to surrender their life to, which causes blockages in enjoyment and creates suffering, but also stimulates higher awareness. Sign dispositor will also matter a lot here, next to the Nakshatras because the planets will give solid information on how the karma will play out.
Let’s say both Nodes are in reverse Nakshatras, that means Rahu depends on Ketu, and Ketu depends on Rahu respectively. It can put a person completely out of control when it comes to fruits of their past life karmas. They only experience their Rahu based on what Ketu gives them. They only experience their Ketu based on their ability to grow into Rahu. The situations that happen to them in this department are completely karmic based and the person is thrown at the hands of fate. You can’t pinpoint a specific goal, as the waves of destiny toss you between the extremes of both Nodes.
It gets a little easier if only one Node is reversed. Say you have only Ketu in a Rahu ruled Nakshatra, by going into your Rahu you will discover a lot of past life blessings. You may start creating something new, that was previously unfamiliar to you, tap into it and discover a goldmine of talent, based on whatever sign and Nakshatra Rahu will be in. It gives you a gift of self initiation and will push you towards independence and clever planning.
In the reverse scenario, like in my chart, with Rahu ruled by Ketu, attempts at fulfillment of personal desires are completely controlled by fate and dependent on your Ketu. You will only achieve as much as Ketu allows you. You will be forced into the pursuit of spirituality by your life direction. You will be forced to resolve the Ketu karma, which will go down to your family line. You will only have gains if doing so, and will be at the mercy of fate while doing so. Spiritual surrender is a must. There is no flipping back between action and prayer like with both Nodes reverse, just prayer.

Hello
When Ketu is active, it might actually even give us what Rahu has been desiring, but at the same time as we achieve what we used to think can fulfill us, it will produce a feeling of disgust in our own human desire nature.
I read somewhere that in most billionaires chart ketu played a prominent role what's your take on this? The reason I'm asking is because even though their wishes are fulfilled, it feels like their souls are corrupted at the same time isn't ketu related to spirituality?
Thank you.
Why does Ketu lead to Success?
What you are talking about are two different subjects.
It is Saturn's power to hide one's flaws and achieve success in spite of them. In reality, no one knows what happens behind the curtain of someone's success. This is the "corruption" you talk about.
Ketu plays a prominent role in success because it's a spiritual gatekeeper. It dispenses past karmas and you won't get anything without Ketu's permission. Of course you can work for it and earn new karmas in this life, but past karmas always have to be accounted for first, and they will limit the scope of your achievement if they're too heavy. Or you will have to wait till you burn these karmas before you achieve anything.
Some people, however, have past life blessings coming to them because of Ketu as well. So it changes the outcome of their lives.

Ketu gives us liberation through producing disillusionment with all of our human desires, represented by Rahu.
When Ketu is active, it might actually even give us what Rahu has been desiring, but at the same time as we achieve what we used to think can fulfill us, it will produce a feeling of disgust in our own human desire nature.
While the Rahuvian tendency never really quite goes away, as we age we realise how much of our Rahu we have sampled in our greed, and that gives us a feeling of satisfaction in ourselves. At the same time, we get fed up with our own excessive nature, and begin resenting all the ways our mind can trick us, and as a result our pursuit of Rahu looses its power to delude us, that anything superficial will make our lives complete just through sheer aggression and excess.

Mrigashira: The Price of Speaking The Truth
I have been studying the themes and patterns of Mrigashira nakshatra for a while and I thought it's time I made a post about the same.
The myth associated with Mrigashira involves Daksha, the son of Brahma. Daksha organized a grand Yajna (a ritual) but intentionally avoided inviting his daughter Sati’s husband, Shiva, whom he despised. Sati went to the ritual without Shiva’s consent, where Daksha insulted her and Shiva. Sati couldn’t bear the humiliation and jumped into the sacrificial fire. Upon learning of Sati’s death, Shiva became furious and destroyed Daksha’s yajna. Yagya, the presiding sage, turned into a deer and ran away, but Shiva caught up and killed him. His head became the Mrigashira nakshatra, which symbolizes sacrifice. (there are multiple myths associated with each nakshatra and another myth about Mrigashira involves Rohini, Brahma's favourite daughter leaving heaven to escape Brahma's incestual interest in her and taking the form of a deer on earth)
From this myth, we know that making a sacrifice for doing the right thing is a theme in the lives of these natives (Yagya was only overseeing the ceremony, he did nothing wrong, he never insulted Shiva, he was just doing his job). Another prominent theme is escaping someone's wrath or escaping to seek safety.
The yoni animal of Mrigashira is a serpent.
Tumblr media
Serpents feature prominently in many mythologies and are commonly associated with renewal and transformation.
The ouroboros represented in this picture is a serpent eating its own tail. Carl Jung, saw this as a basic mandala of alchemy and said:
"The alchemists, who in their own way knew more about the nature of the individuation process than we moderns do, expressed this paradox through the symbol of the Ouroboros, the snake that eats its own tail. The Ouroboros has been said to have a meaning of infinity or wholeness. In the age-old image of the Ouroboros lies the thought of devouring oneself and turning oneself into a circulatory process, for it was clear to the more astute alchemists that the prima materia of the art was the man himself. The Ouroboros is a dramatic symbol of the integration and assimilation of the opposite, i.e. of the shadow. This 'feedback' process is at the same time a symbol of immortality since it is said of the Ouroboros that he slays himself and brings himself to life, fertilizes himself, and gives birth to himself. He symbolizes the One, who proceeds from the clash of opposites, and he, therefore, constitutes the secret of the prima materia which unquestionably stems from man's unconscious."
It speaks of human nature and how we must consume the opposites within ourselves to integrate into one whole being. Every nakshatra serves a cosmic purpose. Each nakshatra is a journey forward, its every step in the process of discovery. If you look at the standard descriptions of some naks, some are explicitly negative and others are overwhelmingly positive, while this is a simplistic understanding of nakshatras, it does point to how to retain balance in this universe, we need all kinds of energies, light and dark, good and bad, but every nakshatra contains within themselves these opposites, like the yin & yang symbol which shows a balance between two opposites with a portion of the opposite element in each section.
Tumblr media
In Taoism, distinctions between good and bad, along with other dichotomous moral judgments, are perceptual, not real; so, the duality of yin and yang is an indivisible whole.
The serpent then can be seen as a representation of the eternal truth of reality, that all is one.
Truth telling is the purpose of the serpent in mythology and this is universally true across mythologies from different parts of the world.
This also seems to be innately tied to the nature of Mrigashira natives who speak their truth or make sacrifices to expose the truth. A simpler manifestation is how blunt and straightforward these natives can be.
Edward Snowden- Mrigashira Stellium in 1h (Sun, Mars & Rahu)
In 2013, Snowden revealed evidence of a shocking global surveillance programme run by the USA’s National Security Agency (NSA) and the UK’s Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) which have been monitoring the internet and phone activity of hundreds of millions of people across the world.
The Internet itself was allowed to spread at a magnanimous pace and reach people all over the globe because it serves the interests of people in positions of power by allowing them to track and monitor us, inundate us into a permanent state of distraction with ads and useless content, that fill the pockets of the already rich. It wasn't some lucky happenstance incident, the internet exists for a very malicious reason and if you read about reports from the 90s when the internet was still at a nascent stage you would know that many people called out this bs. In an occult sense, the internet is an all-pervading manifestation of Maya or illusion. It wraps itself into our reality and there's no escaping it, it becomes harder and harder to see the truth and most people are so completely immersed in this illusion, believing it to be real.
Like the serpent that lured Eve out of paradise, a Mrigashira native, Snowden became the harbinger of an era where we now know that companies including Facebook, Google and Microsoft were forced to hand over customer data under secret orders from the NSA. And that the NSA recorded, stored and analysed ‘metadata’ relating to every single telephone call and text message transmitted in Mexico, Kenya and the Philippines.
Several major companies including Apple, Google and WhatsApp have improved the default security and encryption provided to users. Greater consumer pressure has pushed the industry to strengthen its approach to protecting users’ privacy.
We know how algorithms work, we know that our user data is being tracked, we know why we see targeted ads. We know that most content out there is an ad in disguise. Still, we have no real choice in the matter (except maybe clicking the "reject all cookies" button lol), we're forced to stay in a state where despite knowing that something is deeply wrong with society we still have to participate in it. This is Rohini, who had to stay with her father Brahma in the celestial heavens even though he made incestual advances towards her.
In Mrigashira, the truth dawns on you and you have no choice but to act. The reason Rohini ruled by the Moon is connected to manipulation is because these natives cannot exit their unideal situations safely, they are forced to stay and to survive, they must manipulate their reality. Their freedom is curbed. Even if irl, there are no restraints, these natives feel restrained within, so leaving isn't an option for them, they stay and make things worse to cope or in hopes of changing things.
Mrigashira is Mars ruled and is the first Mars ruled nakshatra. Mars is all about taking action and marching forward. The truth can set you free only if you let it and Mrigashira natives deeply understand this. They are determined to remove themselves from these circumstances and stand in their truth. It may not always be literal but this pattern of setting boundaries, establishing a distance between what is "false" and what is "true" is deeply tied to the nature of Mrigashira.
Snowden sought asylum in Russia where he lives to this day. Being in exile or having to escape your home is also Mrigashira coded simply because the home is a toxic/unsafe/unhealthy place for the Mrigashira native to be. I have talked about it before but Mrigashira is connected to the story of Rapunzel.
Tumblr media
Naomi Klein, Mrigashira Moon is an author, social activist, and filmmaker known for her political analyses; support of ecofeminism, organized labour, and leftism; and criticism of corporate globalization, fascism, ecofascism and capitalism.
Her book No Logo which came out in 1999 is a landmark book that exposes the evils of corporate globalization and franchises and how the Global South are being exploited to fatten the pockets of companies in the Global North. It greatly expanded the growing anti-capitalist consciousness and anti-corporate activism in the decades since. Here's a video where she explains her research. Its chilling to think this was made over 2 decades ago considering how all these things still persist in society and now hurt people more than ever.
Honestly, all her books are amazing exposé work and that's on her Mrigashira Moon.
Louis Pasteur- Mrigashira Moon
He was a French chemist, pharmacist and microbiologist renowned for his discoveries of the principles of vaccination, microbial fermentation, and pasteurization (named after him). His research in chemistry led to remarkable breakthroughs in the understanding of the causes and prevention of diseases, which laid down the foundations of hygiene, public health and much of modern medicine. Pasteur's works are credited with saving millions of lives through the development of vaccines for rabies and anthrax.
He was a very controversial figure in his lifetime who was known for deceiving people.
This article explains it well. Here's an excerpt from the article:
"His most famous experiment was on a young boy, Joseph Meister, who had been bitten by a rabid dog and was doomed to death, and whose mother pleaded with Pasteur to treat him. Pasteur reported that he had previously used his rabies vaccine on 50 dogs without a single failure.
Again, the laboratory notebooks show that this account was misleading. Pasteur had tested a vaccine on dogs, but it was prepared by a completely different method than the one he used for the vaccine given to Meister, and he had no conclusive animal results to show that the vaccine worked. But he had guessed right."
Pasteur often lied to get his way and used "deception" to advance his practice. It is ethically questionable for sure but the work he did has helped millions of people and one could say it was all for the greater good.
He disproved the then prevailing notion of spontaneous generation (it was believed that any exposure to air anywhere causes the generation of living organisms) through his experiments and was initially disbelieved and ridiculed until his experiments began to be accepted as true and was recognised by the scientific community.
Mrigashira natives often have a tendency to gauge things or call people out on things even when that thing/person is widely accepted. The native may get flak for it and be shunned for it but eventually their ideas become widely accepted and everyone sees the truth. They may or may not get credit for this. They see the truth before others do.
Aldous Huxley- Mrigashira Rising
He was an author and philosopher who is best known for his novel Brave New World although he has written over 50 books. Brave New World (the title itself is very Mrigashira core, don't you think?)
The idea that government control is dehumanizing is the overarching theme. In Brave New World the government controls every aspect of the citizens' lives. They are created and born in a government lab. They are raised in a government facility while learning society's values.
It was published in 1932 and lets just say that the audience wasn't ready for such an alarming dystopian tale.
A notable critic of Brave New World was the author H.G. Wells, whose 1923 novel Men Like Gods (a book about a man who visits a utopian world and then returns to earth) had been an inspiration of sorts to Huxley, who told a friend in 1931 that he was writing a novel about the “the horror of the Wellsian Utopia and a revolt against it.” Wells said, “A writer of the standing of Aldous Huxley has no right to betray the future as he did in that book.”
H.G Wells was known for his utopian visions that permeated nearly all of his published work. Interestingly, he was a Shravana Rising. The thing is, Wells never used these utopian visions to criticize the reality of the world we live in, it was more of a "look how good things could be ughhh". This once again reflects Moon's nature which is idealistic but not practical or rooted in confronting situations as they are, if you ask them for a solution to the war, they'll say "if only everyone could get along and we could all stop killing each other" instead of saying "the power imbalance between nations is alarming, they create crises in other nations, put puppet governments in place, exploit them for their own benefits and when it no longer serves their interests, leaves the people to deal with the mess themselves". The former is a more emotional response but it also comes down to Lunar nature believing things are that simple, that if everybody could get along, then everything would be okay. its basically not a solution but a nice thought. I have made posts in the past about Moon dominance and manipulation but what i had failed to mention is that the reason Moon dominants resort to manipulation is because they lack the ability to think in concrete, tangible, practical terms since Moon is tied to the emotional mind which is incapable of rationality or logic. They have to manipulate because they do not know how to think critically. Being guided by your emotions is not reliable or healthy which is why Moon dominance often results in toxicity and manipulation as they are emotionally reacting to what is said instead of responding with their mind or logic.
Wells himself later said about his novel Men Like Gods, "It did not horrify or frighten, was not much of a success, and by that time, I had tired of talking in playful parables to a world engaged in destroying itself."
Do you notice how passive his tone is? He speaks as though he is not part of this world and that all he can do is merely observe its self-destruction (if not writing "playful parables" to it lol??). He thought his book was a flop because it did not "horrify" or "frighten" people (implying that, thats what sells) when the reality is that its more effective to read about the horrors prevailing our society that we are ignorant of instead of reading 300 pages about a perfect alternate reality where everything is wonderful. one calls to action, another encourages passive daydreaming. This further differentiates the nature of Mrigashira vs Moon dominant natives (Mrigashira follows Rohini's fall from heaven or realising the truth).
"There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors of perception"- Aldous Huxley, Mrigashira Rising
Tumblr media
George Carlin, Moon (conjunct Ketu) in Mrigashira
Here's an excerpt of something he said that has stuck with me and exemplifies the truth telling nature of Mrigashira.
"But there’s a reason. There’s a reason. There’s a reason for this, there’s a reason education SUCKS, and it’s the same reason that it will never, ever, ever be fixed. It’s never gonna get any better. Don’t look for it. Be happy with what you got. Because the owners of this country don't want that. I'm talking about the real owners now, the real owners, the big wealthy business interests that control things and make all the important decisions. Forget the politicians. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don't. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own and control the corporations. They’ve long since bought and paid for the senate, the congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying, lobbying, to get what they want. Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I'll tell you what they don’t want: They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. Thats against their interests. Thats right.
They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table to figure out how badly they’re getting fucked by a system that threw them overboard 30 fucking years ago. They don’t want that. You know what they want? They want obedient workers. Obedient workers. People who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork, and just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and the vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they’re coming for your Social Security money. They want your retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street, and you know something? They’ll get it. They’ll get it all from you, sooner or later, 'cause they own this fucking place. It's a big club, and you ain’t in it. You and I are not in the big club.
And by the way, it's the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long beating you over the head in their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy. The table is tilted folks. The game is rigged, and nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. Good honest hard-working people -- white collar, blue collar, it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on -- good honest hard-working people continue -- these are people of modest means -- continue to elect these rich cocksuckers who don’t give a fuck about them. They don’t give a fuck about you. They don’t give a fuck about you. They don't care about you at all -- at all -- at all. And nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. That's what the owners count on; the fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick that's being jammed up their assholes everyday. Because the owners of this country know the truth: it's called the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it."
Mrigashira natives are the most likely to be critical of society, modern living, capitalism etc among other things. They see through to the truth of things and thus feel dissatisfied and disappointed with the world. There is a reason they say "ignorance is bliss", those whose eyes are veiled, can tune out of all this cacophony of living and pretend everything is fine. Mrigashira natives have to live with the weight of knowing.
Tumblr media
Jules Verne- Mrigashira Rising
He is widely regarded as the father of science fiction and his works have inspired a generation of scientists like the pioneering submarine designer Simon Lake, Igor Sikorsky who often quoted Verne and cited his Robur the Conqueror as the inspiration for his invention of the first successful helicopter, the rocketry innovators Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, Robert Goddard, and Hermann Oberth are all known to have taken their inspiration from Verne's From the Earth to the Moon.
Edwin Hubble, the American astronomer, was in his youth fascinated by Verne's novels, especially From the Earth to the Moon and Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. Their influence was so strong that, like Verne, Hubble gave up the career path in law that his father intended for him, setting off instead to pursue his passion for science.
Jules Verne lived in the 19th century (he passed away in 1905, aged 77) but he described technologies that would later be invented (some were directly inspired by what he had written). He had prophetic vision some would say he had described submarines, helicopters, the moon landing, holograms, newscasts, space travel, video conferencing,
“In the Year 2889, instead of being printed, the Earth Chronicle is every morning spoken to subscribers, who, from interesting conversations with reporters, statesmen and scientists, learn the news of the day,”
He even made political observations that have since materialised,
In one of his later works, called The Purchase of the North Pole, an auction is held for rights to the North Pole. The mysterious buyer who wins out over a number of national governments is a private company with a plan to fire off a giant cannon will jolt the planet and change the tilt of Earth’s axis, adjust the length of the days and climates around the earth, and melt the polar ice caps. With the Arctic melted, the execs planned to mine the north pole for coal and make a fortune. This is more or less what is currently happening lol
He invented a new genre to talk about things that did not yet exist. This is tied to Mrigashira's quest for truth and imagining possibilities.
Kanye West, Mrigashira Sun
Tumblr media
Do I think Kanye is problematic? Extremely. Do I think he's also telling the truth on some occasions especially when he's trying to expose Hollywood or the system? Yes, I do
This is a bit of a tangent but we have seen time and time again how mental illness has been weaponized against people (ex: Britney Spears) to control them (Mariah Carey also speaks about it in her memoir), I do think a great number of celebrities are victims of this because their management/people in their lives benefit from exploiting them (would it not be vvv scary knowing that your career is what pays the bills of a whole crew of people? they depend on you to live? what if they're greedy or evil? what happens to you then?) so I wholeheartedly believe Kanye when he says "people are trying to conspire against him for telling the truth" (look at how many whistleblowers have been killed and had their deaths written off as suicides).
Sometimes I wonder if he's deliberately ruining his public image so that he just comes across as a crazy guy saying crazy shit that no one takes seriously. This is a safe option for him because if he appeared to be a normal sober serious guy exposing the system he might get killed. Deception is also a huge part of Mrigashira's truth telling.
Who can forget him exposing Taylor on that phone call? lol
Anyway, I want to make it clear that I don't condone or endorse any of Kanye's politics or most of the vile hateful garbage he spews.
youtube
Amy Winehouse-Mrigashira Rising
Amy was known for how candid and straightforward she was. If you listen to this song, you can tell how frank and honest the lyrics are?? (its about women who try to score rich men). Amy was always so real and unapologetically herself.
youtube
Pamela Anderson, Mrigashira Rising
She's such an icon and such a dignified woman after everything she's been through. She came forward to speak her truth and take control of her narrative. Unfortunately not many women in her position can or will do this. She empowers sooo many others by standing up for herself and speaking her truth.
youtube
Mia Khalifa, Ketu in Mrigashira (a lot of people ask me why I include placements other than the big 3 and the reason I use Ketu specifically is because it is a karmic planet and Ketu's position in the birth chart is thought to indicate ties to previous lifetimes. It represents life experiences and knowledge that people may carry from past incarnations. Yes, I am aware that Ketu is a generational planet and people born across the same year have the same Ketu placement but the reason why Ketu placement is significant especially in the charts of accomplished people is because they are channelling the collective unconscious and I believe that in order to receive recognition for the work you do, you have to skilfully channel your Ketu as it represents your latent creativity and potential that connects you to the whole)
whew went off on a tangent 🤪(me with everything i post lmao)
Mia Khalifa has come forward exposing the porn industry and calling out its predatory nature and has candidly spoken about how she was "intimidated" into doing her infamous hijab scene and that her toxic ex husband encouraged her to pursue porn. I hope Mia heals from everything but she's sooo brave for calling out people/society/porn industry on their toxicity, misogyny, double standards when the same men who fap to her porn are the ones calling her a whore (she made a mistake when she was 20 and has been out of the business for 10 years at this point, at what point will we let her move on with her life and shed this image for good?)
youtube
Nicole Kidman- Mrigashira Sun
who can forget this iconic interview when Nicole exposed the truth behind her meeting with Jimmy lol, he was so sh00k
She starred in the 2003 movie Dogville where she plays the daughter of a mob boss who runs away because she cannot stand the stuff they do (running away because they can't accept the circumstance they are in is a prominent Mrigashira theme). Its an arthouse film about the nature of evil and it shows how after Nicole's character has run away to Dogville, she has to provide labor for the community in order to be allowed to stay (Mrigashira natives making a "sacrifice") and ultimately towards the end after enduring a lot of abuse, Nicole's character destroys the whole place.
youtube
Jim Carrey- Mrigashira Moon
He is hella problematic for sure but he has this existential side to him where he is always dropping truthbombs. Remember this iconic video where he says NYFW is meaningless lmfao
Tumblr media
Parveen Babi, Mrigashira Moon
Parveen Babi was a Bollywood superstar in the 70s and 80s. In 1977, she started dating the filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt (he has a reputation for being vile, crass asshole) and he insisted that she go to a psychiatrist following which she was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. I cannot comment on whether or not Miss Babi was misdiagnosed but what is apparent is that her relationship with Bhatt took a severe toll on her mental health, there are tons of people who've said he's kind of a psychopath, so I don't doubt that he may have gaslit and abused Babi to a point where she may have lost her sanity. For the rest of her career she struggled with episodes of debilitating paranoia, delusion and violent aggression. She once even blamed Amitabh Bachchan (the biggest star in India) for being her biggest adversary and claimed that he was trying to kill her (I know this sounds delusional but we do not know what kind of relationship they had with each other or what might have led her to believe that she was in potential danger, its cruel to dismiss everything someone says as "oh but she's mentally ill").
Babi quit acting and was a recluse in her later years. She died alone in her apartment when she was 51 and her body was only found 3 days later. Mahesh Bhatt helped organise her funereal when nobody else stepped forward to even claim her body at the hospital. Her life is a tragedy and a cautionary tale.
Mrigashiras are doubtful of absolutely everything. They do not trust people easy AT ALL. They question absolutely everybody's motive and whilst this can create thought provoking and interesting art and make a person inquisitive, honest etc, it can also be exhausting and draining to constantly be on guard and watch your own back.
“Slowly, one by one, I lost trust in everybody and everything around me,” Babi wrote. “Have you ever wondered what it is like to function in life, distrusting everything and everybody? We trust most of the things and people around us without questioning. We trust the food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breathe...It is impossible to function in life without trusting. And that is precisely what happened to me.”- Parveen Babi
Mrigashira natives are prone to paranoia and feeling unsafe (this ties back to their mythology) and I truly feel for them :(((
Oppenheimer- Mrigashira Rising
Oppenheimer’s infamous meeting with Truman took place in October 1945. It did not go well: Oppenheimer failed to convince the president of the need for international control of atomic energy, while Truman confidently stated the Soviets would never get the bomb. Getting nowhere, Oppenheimer really did confess his guilt over the Manhattan Project, which turned Truman’s stomach.
Oppenheimer's morality is dubious and questionable etc etc but it is known and clear that he felt guilty for the role he played and the destruction that was caused as a direct result of his research. He stood up for what was true, although unsuccessfully.
Tumblr media
Khloe Kardashian-Mrigashira Moon
Khloe has always been praised for being "real" and honest. She has opened up about a lot of different things and had this to say about having a baby via surrogacy:
“But a surrogate process – Kim knows – is very hard for me. It’s a mindf***. It is really the weirdest thing,” she bravely shares about her nine-month-old cherub, Tatum. “I do feel less connected. People do say it takes a minute to feel connected but Kim said hers was easy. This is not easy. I definitely was in a state of shock from my entire experience in general,” she said. “I felt really guilty that this woman just had my baby and I take the baby and go to another room and you are separated. It felt like such a transactional experience because it is not about him. I wish someone was honest about surrogacy and the difference of it. But it doesn’t mean it is bad or good. It is just very different.”
Compared to the kind of stuff that all the other Kardash-Jenners say this is a rare and sincere moment of truth telling.
Tumblr media
John Cena Mrigashira Moon and Rising
He is known for his honest, humble and sincere personality.
In an interview about the Meltzer rating system, Cena honestly said:
“So how do I put this… I am much more concerned when I perform for WWE in how the audience as a whole feels about my performance rather than one individual trying to grade me in a level of stars. Not that it doesn’t matter, because that is a great way for those to try and get equity and try to get noticed. It’s a great ranking system and I do appreciate it. I’m not knocking critics. I’m just saying my process is to make sure that everyone who paid a ticket had a great night. And if that gets me a zero star match, I still know in my heart of hearts that I entertained my audience that night.”
if you type in John Cena honesty into google so many articles pop up lol, i guess thats a great thing to be known for. Zero bullshit that's Mrigashira for you
I hope this post was interesting and informativexx
thanks for reading<3

I'm currently sick with the heaviest flu I've had in my entire life and it has given me a renewed perspective on the world of medicine.
On my YouTube channel, I have made many videos endorsing a natural lifestyle and criticising the modern culture, that encourages human weakness in having a pill for every discomfort. And I still support that. If you live and die in your hometown, you probably won't be exposed to much, and so you won't need any help in overcoming more serious health concerns.
But we live in times, where people travel exponentially, transcontinentally. We live in times, where people migrate from different environments, that have their own endemic diseases and bring them to the new places they live in. This is the influence of Rahu on our society, the increase in possibilities, the surpassing of boundaries, creating a new world.
However, with that comes the reality of our minds and bodies needing to adjust to such a world. Our immune systems need to be prepared to deal with a wider scope of more complicated invaders. What we have learned in our childhood, when we were young and we had more energy for our body to build up defenses, only applies to whatever local environment we were raised in. When we move or travel, we have to face the world with our adult, more tired bodies and still overcome what we are met with.
And that is where medicine comes in. In the smallest doses possible, a crutch that allows our body to keep functioning where we wouldn't make it otherwise. As a result, we can go further, climb higher.
However, medicine is an invention for the mature. You have to know how to accept pain first and be able to judge when you actually need support, or the side effects will not be worth it for your body. The poison is in the dose, not the substance.

Thank you for your answer! I've been nitpicking and ruminating about what I perceive to be faults and weaknesses in my chart since I got more invested in astrology, because i think it's important to be self aware and know yourself, but it does get tiresome at a certain point.
Which is why your answer about things playing out as they should anyway without flowery language does bring me comfort, not in a coddling flowery language way but in a realistic to the point way...and that's what I love about your content in general!
thank you so much <3

Hi! I used a calculator for my shadbala scoring, but I'm not sure wether to look at virupa or rupa, and what's the difference between them? Either way, I see that my sun in krittika which is also my atmakaraka is the highest as in right at the top lol whereas my moon in rohini is the lowest. I already have an idea of what themes are at play here...but do you maybe have advice on how I could use my 'sharpest' tool to help out my moon?
I recommend purchasing Ernst Wilhelm's Kala software for solving any technical discrepancies. Make sure to use his Ayanamsa.
Honestly, having Sun in Krittika and Moon in Rohini is kind of a perfect combo. But the reality is, you will naturally play out the themes of these planets without trying. Anyone's chart is programmed to do what it wants and it will yield appropriate results. So in whichever way you can help yourself, you're already doing it.

Hi! Can you share some observations on Krittika, in particular how it expresses through women? I feel like this sign is only talked about when it comes to men lol, and even then it feels kind of overlooked compared to more 'popular' signs?
Depending on which Jyotish classification you subscribe to, in some, and the one I personally use, Krittika is considered the first Nakshatra. Solar Nakshatras in general are considered the beginning of a cycle, while Venus signifies deaths and endings.
As a result, in Krittika we experience a rebirth of sorts. We become engrossed in the authentic feeling of our individual soul, having escaped the inevitability of death-like scenarios. We are so proud to have survived, we're just happy and in love with the fact of being alive, and in love with ourselves, our very being.
However, to reach this path, we first have to conquer a lot of difficult situations, which forces Krittika natives to develop interest in basic physical survivability.
You are asking for female representation. The perfect celebrity to use to learn about this Nakshatra is Miley Cyrus, Krittika Lagna. Looking at her personal life and artistic progress, you can see how her career moved on from being relationship focused into being an empowering figure for younger girls and preaching self appreciation being superior to relationships, as per her Grammy winning single. You can also witness her journey with physical fitness and physical skills, that have completely changed her body and her appearance in general. Krittika women are fighters and builders, they are very down to earth and have a hands on approach and they want to achieve something concrete for their communities. Where they have a harder time is their emotions and femininity, as they may be a bit on the rougher side.

Mars Women - Warrior Goddess Energy
Tumblr media
Mrigashira
Tumblr media
Chitra
Tumblr media
Dhanishta
You can see a distinct pattern in these women's physiques and portrayal. While they of course have female attributes, there is less softness in their curve, as their bodies are more "aggressive", either sexually provocative or very toned. That emphasizes as they age and loose their girlhood and mature into their femininity, which manifests as having a thicker neck, more veins around the collarbones and arms etc.
Compared to Mars Nakshatra women, that often have a naturally exaggerated and aggressive body shape, other Nakshatra types in women are more on the natural and soft feminine side in comparison, regardless of the differences between them.

Hi I had a question on my Shadbala chart. Is it a most dominate Planet chart?
Tumblr media
If so Saturn/Scorpio? Has the most influence on me? Thank you!
What is Shadbala Scoring?
Shadbala is about the planet's ability to perform well. It's not about how "strong" an influence is, because all planets have that influence. A very low score will simply have a negative influence and put you to work in that area of life. There are several factors, that more "technical astrologers" use to determine it, plus of course software that calculates automatically.
A strong Saturn will make it easier for you to patiently progress throughout life and put in effort towards your desired path. It will add discipline, practicality and responsibility to your personality, and you will be willing to work hard for things that matter to you. As opposed to this, I know people with for example Saturn conjunct Ketu. My roommate has this aspect in the 6th house, and every time she does house chores she literally cries in frustration like something is horrible is happening to her, and when results don't come in 5s she acts like it's a personal offense to her lol. She only started doing any work, because I motivated her by telling her one day no one will be there to help her and she will struggle even more with independence, and it took her years to agree with me in the first place because how unpleasant it was to her. You will have the contrary approach, ready to roll up your sleeves for things you're passionate about.
Saturn could be of great help, because you have a low Jupiter score. So you may struggle to believe that things will work out, when times are tough, you may prefer a more measurable outcome, and you may get frustrated when things are out of your control.
I already said it in my post here, that every planet we have is like a tool. A well functioning planet would be like the sharpest, most optimal, user-friendly tool. That doesn't necessarily mean, that the planet will be the most "dominant" in your personality, just that it will be most "efficient" in use when you already focus on that part of your personality. A dasha period of this planet will make it "easier" to work with in order to get positive results.
As a result of these differences between planet strengths, two things happen. One, you have to focus a lot on the planet that is weak, in order to fix its condition and have it give you any results, although it's going to be a pain through and through, and you might be frustrated and tempted to give up. At the same time, you spend a lot of energy using the strongest planet to your advantage, because it's your trump card. If the weakest planet has a supportive aspect from the strongest planet, it can help take it out of the dumps.
All this said, I'm not a fan of such "technical" descriptions taken too far, although they're useful to an extent. It's simply a personal preference in how I practice astrology, I just prefer to intuitively read a person's energy. Everyone is born the way they are for a reason. By "grading" a person, we make them feel deficient in some area. So what if you're not perfect and you struggle with something. Everyone does, and everyone still has a special role to fulfill in this world. The best thing I can do as an astrologer is to illuminate a path for them, not be judgmental. Nowadays in astrology communities people love to use black and white comparisons, and they forget everyone is an individual with their own karma to work through. You just have to make the most out of whatever you've got and accept that this is what your soul chose.

Cancer is associated with vibrant colours. The environment of Cancer is like the shore of a tropical beach. Vivid pinks, azure blues and soft comforting pastels reflect the sign's nature.
Capricorn rules ashy colours of the Earth. Muted, sandy, brownish tones, deeper greens, the colours you would find in more severe, mountainous environments.

Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha - What is your Soul’s Desire?
In Vedic Astrology, the essential desires of the soul have four different manifestations. In the table below, you can find a classification of Nakshatras as per their association, when it comes to the spiritual nature of their desire.
The types of Soul Purpose are as follows:
Dharma - The fulfillment of the Spiritual Duty. The feeling of being incarnated for a reason, being very preoccupied with the task given to you, being intent on fulfilling some important part of a karmic cycle. A high level of consciousness, concerning the consequences of one’s actions. Strong focus on one’s role and position in the world among others, regardless of the expression that may take - one may be even a very proud social outcast, but then they will take to activism of independent ideas they believe in. Highly motivated energy, that doesn’t like to waste time, being so preoccupied with its goal. Either a soul, that is very intent on fulfilling some of its goals in this life, or a soul, that is very intent on aiding humanity in some way through bringing their unique gifts for some greater purpose, which spins their motivation. Concerned with responsibly handling the material reality, and using it well on their sacred path. Planets, that would do well in Dharma Nakshatra energy are Sun and Saturn - Saturn as the guardian and upholder of the spiritual order, Sun because it gets a nice level of focus. Well handled Rahu or Mars could also do well, as long as they’re subordinate, otherwise they may make a person struggle to be disciplined.
Artha - The constant search for Spiritual Meaning. Unlike Dharma, this energy is not fixated on any destination and achieving goals in an orderly manner, but on the experience itself. This is Soul Energy, that wants to find depth in every breath and simplicity of life, an energy that finds lessons and spiritual meaning behind even the smallest event. The material reality may aid in this quest, but it is only ultimately used as a means to an end. This energy can find meaning in very inexpensive things, and will feel dissatisfied with material excess, if it struggles to find deeper value in it - a person with strong Artha energy may donate many of their possessions, if they feel they have too many of them, and they no longer can attach any meaning to them. Planetary energy, that would best work here is Jupiter and Ketu.
Kama - The experience of Spiritual Bliss in the Material Form. This is the expression of a soul energy, that wants to experience the delight of simply being physically alive. Planets with this energy taste material reality, and drink it all like a nectar. What this energy has in common with Artha, is that it doesn’t need to search for an ultimate goal to an experience, but also wants to live in the moment in order to savor it. These energies excel at truly appreciating the beauty of the material realm in all its expression, and are capable of finding a higher spiritual bliss completely through a material experience, simply by absorbing the physical energy being presented in front of them. Often people with a concentration of planets in this energy are born into material circumstances with some level of privilege, that allow them to freely explore these desires, even if their soul also has other desires of a different nature, that it wants to fulfill. A planet, that would feel particularly good in Kama Nakshatras is Venus, due to its ability to relish in delights of physical reality, even if takes different forms.
Moksha - The ultimate Spiritual Liberation. Release from the cycle of incarnation, the cutting of all Karmic ties. If you have Moksha Nakshatra planets, there is a cycle that is ending for you during this lifetime - you are releasing a karmic burden, that might have been passed down through generations, possibly down your family line. That doesn’t mean your whole soul is experiencing Moksha, just that a certain lower aspect of human nature has matured in you, and thus has been purged and is being liberated. Moksha planets have a strong Ketu-like vibe of spiritual detachment, and are preoccupied with releasing all possible burdens, and not carrying any excess karmic weight with them. Ironically, this is why they can also experience many gifts and talents on the material plane, as a result of spiritual mastery, and lack of excessive attachment to unnecessary, superficial energies. Moksha is a very mature spiritual cycle, and people with Moksha Nakshatra planets have an “old soul” vibe. There is also a loner nature present, as these planets don’t want to get caught up in too many karmic arrangements, and are very selective in their interactions, often preferring soul bonds, or generally situations, that don’t stand in the path of the desired spiritual release, but aid in it. Due to strong spiritual karmic themes, Ketu would do very well here, but also Saturn, due to its Karmic responsibility, but also Jupiter thanks to its wisdom and spiritual understanding.

Jupiter is Biblical Bliss

The experience of Jupiter in your chart is extremely profound.
You want for nothing in that area. You feel ultimate connection and satisfaction just from existing by embracing that energy. You fully trust in the Universe and the Divine.
"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want". This quote is very Jupiterian, and it really describes the benevolence of the Universe, that always ultimately provides us what we need, even if it means what we needed is a lesson. Jupiter believes the Universe protects us even among suffering and leads us to an end that is destined for us.
