Of the "how people deal with them at home" variety

Like Time/Malon dealing with hay in their primaries or cows trying to chew on the ends of their wings while they're working, if sky/sun were competitive about who had bigger wingspan when they were growing up together like when little kids conpare whose growing taller first, Legend and Ravio continually stealing each others' stuff because they are both absolutely collector bird types, etc.

Got any fun ideas?

I haven’t picked a bird for Ravio yet, but it’s got to be something that collects things. Even if they share things, it belongs to whoever is having the conversation. “My bedroom”, “my bowl”, “my staff” etc. Whoever is on the opposite side keeps pointing out it's “our bowl”, but they totally going to claim it next. If Ravio collects something, he’ll give the red stuff to Legend. 1) he likes him. 2) it’s not worth the fight.

Wild collects…a lot of food, but at least he’s good with sharing. Zelda would sometimes stage an intervention to clean out the food before it got old in Hateno. Wild started picking up a habit of cooking feasts for people when he got full on food. With the Chain it isn’t a problem anymore because they go through food fast enough. He trusts very few people around his wings, which is a topic of a oneshot I’ll post sometime. He is a very social bird but tends to hold himself back around the others. Poor boy has trust issues. Hyrule and Legend weaseled their way in and once they firmly landed in the “safe” category, he loosened up a lot. He LOVES spending time with them and doesn’t like being alone. Hyrule might sometimes want a little space, but Wild is always up for a wing around Legend, or tucking himself under the other’s wing.

Sky in particular steals food, although he sometimes gets embarrassed about it. Oh boy, ok, so Sky and Sun were in a constant battle about food growing up. Sky would enact elaborate, over-the-top plots to take her snacks, and she started ramping up ways of hiding it. It was always in good fun, but to this day they cannot eat a normal meal together in peace. Wind is easygoing enough that he’s fine sharing, and Wild gives him a little extra with this in mind.

Time absolutely adores Malon. I haven’t picked a bird for her yet, either, but that flock instinct of Time’s meshes well with his wife. He’s the type of person who will fly out and pick wildflowers to surprise her. Or get up early and do the chores so she can sleep in and he’ll make her breakfast in bed. He’s a very touchy bird; likes to wrap Malon up in his wings whenever he gets a chance. He does have an archnemesis: Frank the billy goat. Time thinks it’s the stupidest name, but Malon named him so he’ll never say anything. And Frank hates Time with a burning passion. He’ll charge when he tries to go bring the goats in for milking. You ever want to see a full-grown man with the wings of a raptor run screaming like a little girl? Yeah, Malon laughed so hard she cried.

Warriors may be a solitary bird, but he’d really like to meet someone and fall in love. He’s good at the military, but it’s not his passion. He’s actually pretty crafty, which a lot of the birds don’t know. Warriors isn't sure what he wants to do after the military, so he just keeps doing it for now. He doesn't like others see him failing at a new skill, which is why most things end up hidden.

Twilight really likes to play games, but is worried others won’t want to indulge in childish play when he’s normal. They have no problem playing with Wolfie, though, so he transforms when he’s missing playtime. Wind especially will play fetch for ages with him. Twilight would really like Time to engage in some more games with him. While he follows what Time says, usually to the letter, playtime would give him a chance to loosen up from following a hierarchy.

Four’s favorite activity is a dirt bath (good for his feathers, bad for his body). He’ll compromise with rolling around in leaves in the fall. It doesn’t leave him clean at all, but it’s so fun to send up mounds of leaves with his wings and thrash around. Four has a lot of interests and will randomly pick up a new one. Lots of info dumping from our colorful bird, but they try to keep from going overboard. All they really want is someone to listen to him, though. He and Zelda/Flora get along because she’ll share research and details. The Chain was not pleased when Four regaled them with the worms-in-fish information, though. Even the seabirds started looking for something else to eat. They got over it, but Four has all sorts of weird details that are 75% true to pull out.

Legend’s default expression seems to be “annoyed” but he’s usually not. Instead of RBF it’s RAF. He’s such a softie for Hyrule and Wild. He feels like he spends half his time wrangling the two of them which is…partially true. Honestly, he’s happiest when he’s cuddled up between them, the center of attention. He’ll puff up a little if he’s extra pleased, which the others think is super cute.

Hyrule is really a “pair” bird, and he paired with Legend. When Wild came along, though, something in their personalities connected and he decided Wild belonged in their group. He’s very flexible; good at getting in tight spots and will do stretches in the early morning. Legend will be huddling under Wild’s wing, grumbling about it being cold, and Hyrule is doing some ridiculous yoga pose, cool as a cucumber. He also bites. It’s self-defense…probably. He definitely will bite when he’s mad, and he’s a very good sword fighter.

Wind is a very sunny bird boy. One of those always optimistic ones. He likes independence in the air, but on the ground, he sticks close to Sky. He views him as a big brother more than the rest of the group. He also taught Aryll to fly, with questionable success at the start. He tends to hover around her in the air after she got kidnapped.

I send you an ask AGAIN because word limit doens't let me axpress myself and this is important, K? mkay. I have so many thoughts regarding their very different personalities etc that I am laughing like a maniac.

One of those and most important is Carmen and Eleazar must be having a BLAST living in that house with all these shenanigans XDD

Another thing that crosses my mind is how different we all see our reader, bc when i read (reader) i think of myself? And I kind of have been participating in martial arts compeititions for some years and I think it's hilarious the reactions and arguments they would all have regarding this very matter? Given how protective -territorial- they can be, even though I think Kate would be over the moon with her smol human mate kicking ass (bc shes a warrior too so i think she can understand) Irina and Tanya though? they are totes a very different matter, but I mean if it makes reader happy I guess they'd end up agreeing, besides they can always kiss it better later, right? ;))

I actually HC Carmen and Eleazar as "the parents" of sorts? Like, they´ll be the ones most likely to see reason in things and, yknow, think and act in a rational manner. They´ll be the ones to take your concerns seriously, without mocking you or making fun of your whining. Something that can´t always be said for the sisters...

All in all, if I had to choose someone to confide in in a moment of crisis (which kidnapping very much is), I´d most likely go with Carmen. And well, Eleazar too, since it´s a package deal pretty much.

But oh boy, Carmen and Eleazar are just done most of the time, yknow? "Done" as in they´ll just be lovingly squatting together in a corner somewhere, observing all those heated discussions and crying and whining in a calm and collected manner, save for the occasional twitch of lips...on the outside.

Inside they´re very much dying. From laughter. But sometimes they´re honestly done, as in-

"Ah...here we go again."

And yknow, they´re so used to all that drama by now that they´ll just give a loving eye-roll, shaking their heads a bit, when Kate drags you in kicking and screaming with Tanya not far behind (Irina has long since gotten home because she can´t deal), going like-

"Look what we found! Can we keep her?? Pleeease?"

Ofc they´ll say yes.

Ofc! That´s why ppl enjoy reader x character fics so much, after all. Self-inserting lets you live your daydreams a little bit and I think that´s a wonderful way to escape the everyday struggles. I honestly can´t tell if I see myself whenever I read/write such a story, or if it´s more like I envision an OC of sorts. Perhaps a bit of both? That´s the great thing about these fics - you can pretty much imagine everyone you´d like in it. 🥰

Ohh you do?? That´s neat! I´ve been thinking about picking up a sport as well. It´d defo be a good compensation, as I´m working whilst sitting most of the day. Perhaps some point in the future, we´ll see. 😅

Ohhh Kate would be ALL for it. She´d be so proud of her lil firecracker. As you said, she was a warrior in her human life, so she´d only be all too happy to teach you stuff and help you get better at it. She´ll most likely be a bit of a horndog about it though, because how could she not be when she gets to touch you places and help you get those positions right? 😏

Irina would feel...torn. She´d worry for your safety, but she wishes to see you happy. She doesn´t want anyone hurting her precious, but that glow in your eyes speaks volumes. She´d be waging the pros and cons thoroughly before coming to a decision. She might be overprotective/possessive (they all are) and sometimes hard to convince, but that doesn´t mean she won´t see reason when it´s more than clear how fulfilling it is for you. In the end, she´ll be on board with it.

...Something that absolutely cannot be said for Tanya. She´s the most stubborn (and territorial) out of the three, coven leader status be damned. She doesn´t appreciate when someone wishes to go against her word - she has told you numerous times she does not wish for you to continue this self-mutilation. She´s rational enough to recognize the joy it brings you, but not rational enough to allow it (at first). She simply doesn´t see sense in it when you could pick up any other hobby. One that doesn´t involve bruises and cuts and whatnot all over your lovely body. No, absolutely not-

You: "Pleeease?"

Tanya: "No."

You: "...Please with a cherry on top?"

Tanya, through gritted teeth: "My love...do not test me."

You: "..."

You: "But-"

Tanya, about to (lovingly) drag your ass back to your shared room: "I said-"

Carmen: "Tanya..."

Tanya, closing her eyes in exasperation: "..."

I hope you're enjoying your little "period break"! We've missed you, so it's nice to see you back on here for a while. I was sick with a very nasty cold virus through most of your absence, so you haven't missed much from my blog at least!

Now regarding your headcanon request regarding our favorite "odd couple" besties, Thranduil and Elrond:

What would Thranduil do if Elrond were abducted or in danger?

I share your headcanon of Thranduil being fonder of Elrond than of any Noldor in all of Middle-earth history--with the exception of his wife (Queen Maereth). Proud and stubborn Thranduil never admits his affection outright, but it shows subtly in his actions around the Lord of Imladris, and the fact that he seems to enjoy spending time around him.

In SotWK-verse, Thranduil first met Elrond in the kingdom of Lindon, very early in the Second Age and not long after the War of Wrath. However, they barely interacted with each other because of the lingering hostility between the Noldor and the Sindar. Oropher and his people were not big fans of High King Gil-galad, despite being residents of his realm.

Thranduil and Elrond finally got to know each other better towards the middle of the Second Age. Their early bond was encouraged by Lady Maereth, who shares family history with Elrond and became a close friend of his while she lived in Eregion.

Before fighting side-by-side in the War of the Last Alliance, Thranduil and Elrond fought together for the first time during the War of the Elves and Sauron (SA 1693), which initiated their status as lifelong allies.

I have many more HCs about the friendship between these two elf-lords, but I'm going to skip all that to actually answer your question!

It would take an incredibly powerful foe to abduct Lord Elrond, so it would obviously be a serious crisis that will force Rivendell to summon every available ally for aid.

The King of Mirkwood and his family would be considered Elrond's most loyal and strongest Elven ally military-wise, and I would gladly debate anyone on this opinion.

Thranduil would drop everything to answer the call, initiating emergency protocols normally reserved only for members of his own immediate family.

Assuming this event occurs at a time when his family is still intact, Thranduil will rally all five of his sons to come with him and lead their army to Elrond's rescue.

I cannot stress enough how sending ALL FIVE Thranduilion princes along with the King into battle is a huge deal, and actually unnecessary. These Elven warriors are so skilled and powerful, it is overkill to have them on the same battlefield all at once. It has never happened in the entire history of their family. (You know how Legolas can kick serious orc-ass? Well, he's the "rookie" of this team. Imagine his older brothers and their Ada unleashed.)

In normal cases, only three princes at most are sent to battle at the same time. If Thranduil chooses to muster his entire lineup of sons, then he just wants to prove a simple, angry point: you've fucked with the wrong guy and now I will make you pay to the greatest possible extent.

Elrond in danger is definitely not considered a "normal case", so yes: Thranduil would deploy all his sons for the Lord of Imladris. There is no greater sign of love and friendship from the Elvenking than this.

Unless Elrond gives him a very good reason not to, Thranduil will insist on having the head (literally) of whoever dared to abduct or harm his (not-so-secret) best friend.

Thranduil will still never tell Elrond how much he cares for him. But the message will be received and seen loud and clear by everyone.

good morning. happy/tragic to report that i woke up still wearing my "thinking about the porco + reiner (+ marcel) dynamic" clown shoes. i don't have any specific questions (yet?). this ask is just me dragging you into the trenches of my nonsense and giving you a space to share any thoughts and feelings you might have about reiner's dynamic with / feelings towards both porco, and marcel.

-You call it tragic but I love seeing you on my dash and inbox, sharing your random little thoughts with me LOL. Ho boy my feelings towards Porco, Marcel and Reiner's little dynamic? Well I'd be happy to share my little HC's about their dynamic but not at all canon so take it with a grain of salt.

Reiner Braun + Porco Galliard:

As a kid Reiner and Porco definitely didn't get along with one another, always at each others throats any chance they got which made training a bit tense. Reiner always tried to one-up Porco by attempting to prove him wrong, show that he would be a better Warrior than he ever could. Porco teased Reiner any chance he got to get on his nerve or make him cry to put Reiner in his place. However when Reiner got picked to be the armored titan he took this as a chance to rub everything in Porco's face completely unaware that it was Marcel who convinced their superiors to give him the armored instead of his brother.

As adults Porco still resents Reiner but by this point in his life Reiner could care little about what Porco thinks of him, he could careless what anyone thinks of him as he's far to focused on what he's done. Porco can poke and prod at him but he just won't give him the reaction he usually would have and instead will agree with most of what Porco says....yes, maybe if Porco had gotten the armored titan things would have been different, maybe Marcel would still be alive but there was no changing the past now and he'd just have to live with that guilt.

Reiner Braun + Marcel Galliard:

As a kid Reiner never really got into fights with Marcel but would often get lectured about his behavior towards Porco. Porco himself received these same lectures. Marcel was more of a mediator between the two trying to keep the peace and get them to work together like a team....it's safe to say that never really happens but he still tried his best....if only to not hear them shouting at one another in the same room. Marcel is the one who often had to break up fights between Porco and Reiner and he's the reason Reiner got the armored titan and would apologize to Reiner for what he's done even if at the time Reiner didn't really understand why he was apologizing to him...he would later.

Reiner looked up to Marcel, he always admired how much of a natural leader he was and in some way he wanted to be just like him. They weren't related but he did see him as a brother figure often times asking Marcel for help with training or class assignments of which he was more than happy to help Reiner with.

Despite Marcel being the only reason he got the armored titan, Reiner holds no grudges against him and if he could he would go back and save him.

I gotta say Hector. He's just such a complicated character and I love how he is an antagonist (not a bad guy!). Plus his undying loyalty and unique character design are other great qualities of him as well!

I HC Quirin is the oldest simply because he seems the most mature to me.

I HC that Hector is the youngest, but only by like a year. I don't really have a specific reason why, just my gut feeling.

Ooh, this is a hard one...I would think some kind of bird. I imagine she'd like a companion that could travel easily with her, but can also be independent without her.

Some post series HC's I have are Hector, Adira, & Quirin having a good moment together (having lived through that finale!). Also that Quirin and Varian visit the DK frequently to help them out and visit their family. Also Edmund finally having a good talk with the Brotherhood and expressing his gratitude to them.

Pre series HC's would be Hector having a partner he was dedicated to, but left for his assignment to the Great Tree. It's just something I can see him doing and I like the angst of it haha.

I HC that the Brotherhood met as orphans that got trained. They all had talents as warriors so they got promoted to the Brotherhood.

In my fic I've named Hector's bear cats Nyx and Delia. For reference, Delia is the nicer of the two (and the one that let Shorty on her back on the Great Tree episodes) and Nyx is more defensive and harder to befriend.

I think all three of the Brotherhood have dated each other at some point. Also that them being an OT3 is a big possibility.

I do think they should continue the Brotherhood, but change their purpose. Until the DK is restored, they need an elite force to help out with getting the DK back on its feet. After that it could be more of a ceremonial thing or a way to pass down traditions rather than be an actual fighting force.

Honestly ANYTHING. I'm still upset they hardly interacted with one another. -.-

Soon after I finished the series. When I started looking for fanart I found Pennumbra, Mo, & Xannerz's art and it was all downhill from there.

I really like a lot of Pennumbra's HC's about Hector, especially from his time in the Great Tree. Just the idea of him being out like that and alone for so long and how it would have affected him. It really fascinates me. Specifically, after getting back to civilization how he would struggle to eat sweets or anything with a lot of flavor.

anyways I am full of thoughts on this tragic ass man, but as for hcs I don’t share here…tbh the only one I can think of is his caretaker! I don’t think I talked about her before?

In my personal backstory for Oz, his parents were very rich but very inattentive towards him. His only friend at that age was Glynda, and that was mostly because their families worked together on business ventures. It was a family of convenience so it can’t really count as one.

One day the manor is overrun with Grimm during a taxing meeting between the families, leaving Ozpin without even his fake one and Glynda’s not ruined but splintered after the loss of her mother. The two became thicker then thieves after that, relying solely on each other even when Glynda went to live with her folks and Oz ended up in the foster system. The Goodwitch family wouldn’t take him. He never knew why…

It wasn’t long before the Council caught wind of Ozma’s soul and who it belonged to, and at 10 Ozpin was adopted by a retired Huntress named Olivia Flora.

She was a stubborn woman, not easy to get along with and very blunt and to the point. She didn’t beat around the bush, and tbh she might not have been a good pick to raise a child. But to raise a future Huntsman? To raise a future Headmaster? To raise a future world-saving wizard? She could do that and more.

It was meant to be another family of convenience but Olivia was only human. Is it so wrong to want a child to be a child just a bit longer? She did her best in raising Ozpin into his teen years to be kind after all the tragedy from before left him rather quiet, shy, and a bit distant from the idea of interacting with people. The first time she managed to get him to talk to her was over books, so she let him read as much as he wanted.

Ozpin found escape in fairytales and legends. He didn’t care that a king sat at the foot of his bed, able to recall memories of a time long past. He cared when he would tell him stories of brave knights on the battlefield and strong warriors of olden times, older then Ozymandias himself!

Olivia trained him early before he, himself, went to Beacon to officially become a Huntsman (also at 14 why do u think he thinks it’s just normal and cool for Ruby to become leader + young Huntress???) and eventually Headmaster, and during the downtime, what little she could find, she raised him as a kid. Not as Ozma’s next life.

She taught him to bake, to play, to relax, and while he may have forgotten some of that over the years, he still holds Ms. Olivia close to his heart as his first, genuine family.

She wasn’t perfect, but she was his mother in everything but the term. And that was special enough for him.

Hey, I know it's been a year since ILYL was updated and I'm not sure if you want to continue the story at this point, but I just wanted to tell you I hope you're doing well and that I still read your stories. also I wanted to say I really love your human warriors story and I wondered if you have any head canons for them!

The question of whether I want to continue ILYL is no question. I want nothing more than to continue that story.

At this point, I have rewritten the next chapter about 6 or 7 times and each time when I go to edit it I just end up dissatisfied with it. Then there was moving, studying, travelling to study in America and dealing with the mental ramifications of that. I'm truly upset that I have made people wait for another chapter for this long, and I hope that one day I can finally pull myself together and get it done, but at this point I honestly don't know. I hope it will happen, but I'm not going to let people down with false promises any more.

Just know I was always thankful for your support and giving my stories just the smallest bit of attention.

Sure. It's not a HC that really matches my human WC story, but it works with the human WC road trip thing I once toyed with.

Squirrelpaw is a terribly light sleeper - any noise will almost certainly get her awake and unable to sleep for the rest of the night. Leaving her a grumpy, grouchy kid for the rest of the next day.

Which is why she's horrified to discover, after agreeing to share the motel twin room with Brambleclaw the first night of the journey - he wanted to keep a close eye on her (just out of genuine worry) - that the boy snores like a mammoth.

Refusing to go through that again, Squirrelpaw has to find someone else to share with.

Stormfur refuses to let Feathertail out of his sight so both of them are out of the question, and Tawnypelt is someone who actually spends much of the night planning out the next steps of their trip throughout the night, sleeping through most of the next day - she keeps quiet but the added light she needs is enough to disturb Squirrelpaw.

So, with a growing horror, Squirrelpaw realises that only leaves Crowpaw. And while sharing a room with that moody, emo brat is nothing but cringeworthy to her, she misses sleep too much. So she grudgingly agrees while Crowpaw doesn't really object, to Squirrelpaw's confusion.

On the first night they share a room, Squirrelpaw prepares for a night of burning tension and Crowpaw being a snarky dick who claims she turns too much and coughs too loudly.

But within ten minutes, Crowpaw is fast asleep. And he stays like that, silent and unmoving, undisturbed until Squirrelpaw falls asleep an hour later.

She certainly expects him to have some complaints the next morning, being the irritable moron he is after all, but all he does is nod at her briefly, quietly says good morning, and waits scrolling through his phone until she's ready before they walk out to their acquaintances - all expecting the two to be at each other's throats.

(He left a woman at the altar and now has some pseudo (?) relationships with a bunch of hookers in town). He would definitely self-sabotage any serious relationship bc he thinks he is not good enough or whatever. ( I also don’t think we would be super compatible bc I’m a dom and he doesn’t strike me as someone who would be good a giving up control) Peña may be a good fling but has too many things he has to resolve on his own time for my taste 🙈

Yes, he was almost ready to settle down with that widow in season 1 but honestly, I didn’t feel the tension there either. he is a ray of sunshine, okay? We both like movies (even though the stuff I watch is probably trash to him lol) so we can do that together. More similar interests: writing, boats? — on emotions ( &. a bit about the past.)

||. Because this topic was floating around quite a lot on indie side a while ago and I wanted to join in... annnnd then got super busy

I would think it’s pretty safe to say that Byleth has always had some level of emotion. They were just... incredibly muted. She was by no means a walking, talking corpse. And in truth, a large portion of her uncanny disposition is due to a mixture nature and nurture. Jeralt being pretty stoic and reserve himself, for one, and that being the only parental figure she could ever mimic. Byleth herself being a HUGE introvert who keeps to herself and is very private with her concerns and affairs, another. But tat least for my portrayal, I would think there’s also more to it than just that. In Azure Moon, she’s noted to be presented as uncannily stoic to the point of appearing inhuman. (Which is something echoed by Claude as well.)

Dimitri specifically states the following:

You never smiled, and you never showed anger either. And yet, you didn't appear to be suppressing your emotions. They just...weren't there.

Which is likewise in line with early supports with other students. (Dorothea and Dimitri’s B supports, for instance.) But I think the key point is this: “you didn't appear to be suppressing your emotions. They just...weren't there.” which is very reminiscent of what is said about the Ashen Demon.

...However, they all agreed on one thing—your father, and yourself, were a strong pair. Warriors to be respected and feared. You, in particular. In fact, many came to know you as the Ashen Demon. They say you would destroy your enemies without a hint of emotion on your face. — Hanneman C support

Considering that Byleth’s entire character arc revolves around LEARNING to feel, and learning to then express those feelings (very reminiscent of Violet Evergarden) - I like to think that the observations of the many are... not wholly true, but also not wholly inaccurate, either. Dimitri, to some degree, was right. There was no emotion to suppress, because it was barely ever there. (which kind of touches on a hc of mine that a lot of her past fights were spent with Byleth dissociating emotionally ON TOP of already having trouble feeling, hence her amnesia, but that’s a different post for a different day.)

For a very, very long time, Byleth was effectively sleepwalking through life. Of course, she was aware, and she was present. As stated, Byleth was never a walking corpse or anything nearly so dramatic. Her Heart may have been transplanted and made of stone but it works perfectly fine. However due to the nature of Nabatean corpses it’s fairly safe to say that, just as Sothis was asleep ...so was the heart. And thus, Byleth’s full range of emotions. And would remain so until Sothis began to stir as per the beginning of the game. Her emotions are largely tied to Sothis and her existence within. Not because Sothis existed within in the first place, but because sothis was sleeping. For all intents and purposes, Byleth lived twenty years of her life with only half of her soul intact. And of course, we know it was still there. It always was. (ie: Byleth can use the Crest of Flames at will even before knowing definitively that they existed, and having dreams of Sothis’ past for an ambiguous period of time pre!game) But as ever, the relationship between spirit!Sothis and Byleth is that... they need each other to survive. They are quite literally soulmates. One and the same. Two wills that MUST be cleaved into one, inevitably. As fortold by Sothis herself. To have one live without the other would be to rob Byleth of her full scope of emotions (and her ability to feel them) and Sothis without the means to experience the world corporeally again.

Byleth was already awakening long before Sothis and her fused, (re: Flayn’s rescue, Byleth’s reaction to the Battle of the Eagle and Lion), but that fusion most certainly sealed the deal as far as putting the broken pieces together, and allowing both Sothis and Byleth to be reborn anew.

Momo Talks About Shit So She Doesn't Fall Asleep At Work || Open!

[Gotta try and think of something I don't think I've touched on or that would be considered off the wall here 🤔.

I don't know if it's off the wall, but I looked up Planet Vegeta because I kinda remember Super trying to change stuff between the Saiyans and the Tuffles, so I was going to write about that, BUT I didn't find it (or missed it because in really tired), so I'm going to talk about some salt and my personal HCs concerning the Saiyans' conquest of what would become planet Vegeta.

Basically I'll start with how I don't care for the new(?) timeline they've adopted for this. According to the wiki, King Vegeta (present Vegeta's father), led the attacks that defeated the Tuffles in Age 730, King Cold discovered the Saiyans that same age or in 731 (the wiki says both? It's weird), and it was only four years later that Frieza destroyed the planet and most of the Saiyan race. So like not only is a lot mashed up into only five years without even mentioning the other smaller details of that time period in Saiyan history, it just feels...meh to me? Like I don't want to say rushed necessarily because a lot CAN happen in five years, but it lacks a fullness and intrigue to the Saiyans that I think just a bigger time span allows their history to have. Matters that caused strife internally and externally for the Saiyans are allowed to fester until we get to the point just before their destruction. Not to mention that does erase the part that they were conquering planets to some degree before King Cold came along, but I'll get into that.

To start with my own HCs here, I'll begin with I HC it was the FIRST King Vegeta who conquered the Tuffles, not the third, King Vegeta we know, and claimed the planet for the Saiyans, which would obviously be quite a while before canon now has it. I still maintain that they migrated to the planet likely because of a civil war and eventually took over that planet for their own. King Vegeta I, therefore, was the one to begin transforming the Saiyan race into the beginnings of what we see of the Saiyans when the planet is destroyed. Obviously, the Cold Empire will influence the way things work, too, but that's probably an entirely other post.

As mentioned, I also maintain that the Saiyans were already conquering planets before King Cold found them (which i believe is at least in the Z anime?) using the tech left behind by the Tuffles. Not for the same reasons necessarily. Iirc it was originally that they were searching for strong warriors to fight? And I'm sure that doubled as some kind of money making/take what they could use sort of venture. It was this lifestyle that caught King Cold's attention and led to them eventually working together. This was during King Vegeta I's reign.

While the Saiyans could absolutely accrue plenty of disdain for the Colds in four years or so, I feel like the bigger time span not only breeds disdain for the Colds and perhaps even the Saiyan monarchy, but it also allows more room for complacency, which I think we do see in the Saiyans when it comes to their position in the Empire (the OG Father of Goku movie I believe exemplifies it, as well as just different comments from Vegeta and others throughout the series). They're getting to fight like they love and are getting paid for it, so I think a lot of them were just like 🤷‍♀️ about it. Frustrated with how things worked in some ways, and i think this was worsened when Frieza took over (I HC that happens sooner too, but it's not a big detail I'll get into) , but overall complacent to just keep doing it. Not to mention I think they were very aware of how powerful Cold and his ilk were, so I doubt they were raring to start many rebellions, especially in the early years.

I dunno. I just think they originally set up a really interesting story for the Saiyans and I feel like recent content has just...diluted and made what little of their history we get far less interesting than it could have been. Making the Saiyans' sovereignty (or at least a more established, unified one it sounds like) and their alliance with the Colds so short sort of shoots out a lot of opportunity to really expand on Saiyan lore and present what I feel was the original intent for the Saiyans. Plus like...why make Vegeta the fourth of his name if his father was the one that apparently made the Saiyan race what we saw? Like sure you could have kings before that, but since they were apparently not well-established and spread out in different, likely autonomous clans, it doesn't feel like it fits?

Plus, the short time frame makes it too easy to allow the Saiyans to just be the victims when that's not REALLY the full story. They absolutely ARE but, originally, it felt a lot more complicated (no, this is not me letting the Colds off for SHIT; its contending that thr Saiyans aren't squeaky clean even prior to joining the empire). And they seem to want to KIND OF address that in more recent chapters of the manga but....not really. I think a lot of what they've done with the Saiyans' history lately has made them a lot less interesting as a race and makes their situation feel...too standard? Uncomplicated as I said? Which simplifying shit is definitely Super's MO but you know. I don't know how off the wall this is but HERE. 🤣🤣]

OKAY ive been thinking about this for awhile now but hcs (platonic) of the diasomnia members reactions to the reader calling lilia "gramps"? (And maybe making some jokes about him being. Really old like, 'be careful you dont break anything gramps', 'make sure to check that ur denchers are in place' ect. ect.)

Curiouser and Curiouser...

A smirk and a chuckle--that’s all you can glean from Malleus. The reaction is as fleeting as his fairy lights: there one moment, and gone the next, so the chance you have to savor it doesn’t last for very long.

Rather than remain fixated with surprise at your actions, Malleus finds your choice of nickname to be amusing. It’s certainly not anything unique or revolutionary, but it’s simple and to-the-point, which holds its own sort of strange charm. Humans will never cease to entertain him.

Malleus thinks it harmless to join in on your fun--speaking with just enough sass to be considered cheeky, but not enough to grossly offend his caretaker and an honored warrior of the Valley of Thorns. “My, Lilia. It seems as though this Child of Man has seen through your façade. it was a valiant effort, but in the end, your golden years cannot help but shine through.”

He and Lilia exchange a knowing glance, and it seems as though they’re having a conversation with their eyes alone. It’s something that you don’t understand, but they clearly do, having spent hundreds of years together, having experienced a different flow of time than the others.

With his bit of fun had, Malleus reassures you with full confidence that Lilia is a capable warrior and should, under no circumstances, be underestimated. “The occasional joke or jest is acceptable, but I’d advise you to watch your words if you continue along this path. Even beset by old age, fae are formidable foes, should you provoke their fury.”

Lilia doesn’t bat an eye at the nickname--after all, he’s been called far scarier things, given his reputation in his home country. If anything, he finds “gramps” to be a refreshing change of pace, even if it clashes for that youthful school boy persona that he’s aiming for.

At his age, Lilia doesn’t care much for labels and other constructs the world has to offer. He harbors little (if any) rage over being called ancient as a fossil, as he considers the time he has spent experiencing, enjoying life as something valuable, not something to be ashamed of or laughed at.

Cool as a cucumber, he deflects your words with a pout. “I’ll have you know that I’m fit as a fiddle,” Lilia insists. “Why, I’m just as bubbly and bright of a high school student as any other boy enrolled at Night Raven College. Kufufu... I don’t know why you would think otherwise.”

If you don’t believe him, maybe he should pinch your cheeks and then dash away before you can get your revenge, or headlock you to demonstrate his strength? Surely a grandpa wouldn’t be spry enough to pull those maneuvers off! Or maybe he should get a good bite of you to prove how strong his dentures are!

Once Lilia has had his fill of laughter, his face settles into something more serious. “Keep this between us, won’t you? It would make defending Malleus all the more difficult if I were not able to masquerade as a student.” Pinching his index finger and thumb together, he pantomimes zipping his mouth shut. “That, and I’d have much less fun if my secret were ever to get out. You understand, yes?”

Silver looks as though he has just been roused from a deep sleep. His eyes are as round as the full moon as he stares at you in bewilderment. Did he hear you correctly? Did you really just call his father something so familiar as “gramps”?

“... They’ve got you there,” he says matter-of-factly. The role of paternal figure has, and always will be, Lilia’s, be it in Diasomnia or beyond. It’s a truth that Silver knows well, and something that he’s sure Lilia won’t be offended by, so he, in turn, also isn’t offended.

If there’s one thing that Silver finds a bit odd, it’s your casual tone. Having been raised on the strict path of knighthood, Silver can’t imagine himself so jovially poking fun at his mentor’s age or abilities—but again, if Lilia isn’t outraged by it, Silver sees no need to react aggressively.

He stands attentively, arms folded behind his back, and acts as an observer while you go about fooling around with Lilia. Silver is ready to step in the moment he senses any danger or discomfort—but from the way his father is smiling and laughing, he already knows drastic measures aren’t necessary.

Though Silver’s stance is resolute, you can tell from his lopsided smile that he feels at peace. It warms his heart to see his easygoing old man paling around with others, and it’s something that he hopes he can see for many years to come.

Sebek is appalled that you--nay, ANYONE--would have the gall to insult the great Lilia-sama—and for his age, of all things! His face contorts in an almost cartoonish display of disgust as he draws in a sharp breath.

Sebek’s first instinct is to launch into a verbal tirade. He goes on and on about your insolence and how ignorant you are of Lilia’s various accomplishments. It’s an odd combination of things to be ranting and raving about—he flip-flops between insulting you and bragging about Lilia’s triumphs in music and war.

Sebek demands that you apologize to Lilia right now, at once, immediately (and no, he will not find refusal to be an acceptable response). He has half a mind to tackle you, restrain you by the arms, and make you to bow your head to beg for forgiveness, were it not for Silver stepping in to temper his anger.

He tells asks you to show more respect to Lilia, who has long since served the royal family. “Lilia-sama is a venerated figure in our home country of the Valley of Thorns! A war hero named in countless history books!! A mentor whose wisdom shall be passed on for generations to come!” Sebek continues to ramble, this time spinning many great and detailed stories about Lilia’s feats.

“A lowly human such as yourself has no right to address him in such a casual manner or scoff at his accomplishments!! This is a crime of the highest offense, near tantamount fo blaspheming the young master himself!!” Sebek roars stubbornly. “Be thankful that Lilia-sama is so merciful as to spare your puny life for this transgression!!”

Undertaker here! How are you today?

I was thinking the other day and I remembered an idea of mine I requested some time ago to another blog and I wanted to see your point of view as well, if you're comfortable with it ofc! I'll change it a bit because I have more ideas about it than before.

What if, hear me out, Obey me!MC was Sukuna's vessel??

I was thinking about a Female!MC but if you want you can keep them gender neutral (I don't mind!). So let's get into it, shall we?

Some facts about MC before the Devildom:

- They've already eaten all Sukuna's fingers

-But they are able to keep him calm inside themselves because over the year they've been together, MC decided to approach him more (Ya know if you have to die with/for someone, at least know them better)

-Sukuna took a liking to the MC, even though he would never admit it. (I mean- They always visit him in his domain to talk to him, read together, play cards (yes. You heard me. The king of curses loves Poker and UNO) or chess, they always ask him where would he like to go eat something, offer him some of their food to let him try new things, ect. Sometimes, but only SOMETIMES, they let him take control (not fully but they both can talk from the same mouth and he has control over one side, while MC has control over the other one))

- Having said that, Sukuna's still a stinky sassy bastard King. He's still rude, acts like he doesn't care about them and always finds a way to let them down when they're too happy. If they're sad though, he doesn't hurt them more. Sometimes MC even asks him advice whenever they're in doubt and after his bulling he actually gives pretty good advice (if you consider extreme violence a good advice that is)

Anyway, MC was going to get executed when suddenly they fell into Devildom. Their file didn't mention Sukuna at all and MC noticed that because when they arrived covered in talismans and chains the demons were confused about it. So, they kept the King a secret until lesson 16.

After Belphegor's crushing hug, while MC (the one from the original timeline) is in Mammon's arm, before Barbatos Thanoses the other timeline, Sukuna heals them and takes fully control of their body (the tattoos, the fangs, the long black claws, the other pairs of eyes and arms appear).

Now, HOW would the brothers, Diavolo and Barbatos react?

- it was confusing enough when there were two MCs and one of them was near death in mammon's arms

- but now the injured MC gets healed and comes back to life ? but has another set of arms and eyes and is covered in strange tattoos ?

- then the other MC disappears ?

- when the demon MC starts talking, their voice is different and what-

"What the fuck did you to do MC?" Sukuna hastily spits out, checking the body for any other injuries. MC's voice is back and talking out of the same mouth.

"Sukuna, stand down," MC says.

"But he almost killed you ! Without me we wouldn't be standing here right now !" Sukuna argues back.

"I'm aware of that, but we have to be civil about this and talk to them," MC responds sternly.

"Then I want to be present for it. I'm not letting anything happen to you- I mean me. Yes me because I die if you die and I'm too godly to die," Sukuna rambles out before retracting the other set of arms but leaving the tattoos. He opens one of the eyes and forms a mouth on MC's right cheek to watch and participate in the conversation.

All the brothers and Divolo looked stunned at the scene that just happened.

"Questions ?" MC jokingly asks.

Lucifer -

- what ?

- questions ? is MC joking ?

- who the fuck is talking out of MCs body and what jurisdiction does he have

- isnt MC supposed to be human ??

- what does this mean for their relationship ?

- why did MC keep it from him ?

- he looks at dia and barbatos with the most confused face

"Explain"

Lucifer's confusion turns to anger because that's the only way he knows how to cope/react to this.

Sukuna starts talking.

"Show a little more respect. I'm a king after all."

"Don't be an ass," MC shoots back. MC looks at Lucifer a little embarrassed.

"Uh, so this is Sukuna. He's the king of curses ? We kind of share a body because... uhh... it's a very long story but i mean the gist of it is I ate his thousand year old fingers ? There was 20 of them because he had two sets of arms like you saw before- it was very gross- but i had to because of the energy they posses ? When you brought me here and I was covered in seals and chains, was when I was about to be executed because I have all of Sukuna in me. So,, he can do stuff like heal my body and give me cool powers ? I don't really know what else to say." MC rambles using awkward hand motions and finishes by scratching the back of their head.

"Way to make me sound like a total fucking loser," Sukuna glares at MC.

"For the love of god stop talking-" MC shoots back.

Mammon

- huh ? someone has been sharing a body with his MC the whole time ?

- were they present the whole time ?

- did they see him acting like an idiot in love ?

- was sukuna there during e v e r y conversation he's ever had w them

- never felt more insecure and betrayed tbh

"Well if you don't like how I describe you then maybe you can talk about yourself. You're very good at it," MC smirks.

"Fine. I can do whatever I want. We can trade who has control over MC's body. I have a large supply of cursed energy and will beat the shit out of the next person who touches MC," Sukuna glares at Belphie.

"Yeah beat them in poker maybe. But not mariokart. You suck at video games in the headspace," MC laughs.

- was that how MC was so good at video games ?

- because they spent hours on end with this guy in their head playing video games ?

- why didn't MC come to him to play games ?

- why is MC okay with sharing a body with Sukuna ?

"So let me get this straight, you are his fingers and now you share a body ? How does that even work ? That sounds like something out of the manga 'My best friend ate some ancient object and now shares a body with an immortal warrior'" Levi questions MC.

"Okay so, Sukuna lived a really long time ago. When he died, the only thing that survived were his fingers. They each hold an incredible amount of cursed energy and it's only his fingers so from there you can imagine how powerful he was with the rest of his body," MC explains.

"Okay but that doesn't tell me why you ate the fingers ?" Levi raises an eyebrow.

"Oh. So I went to a high school for Jujutsu sorcerers, which are people who can manipulate cursed energy, and once I ate the first one to save my friend from dying, my choices were to die now or eat all of Sukuna and then be executed because he would die with me," MC says as if them dying was nothing.

Satan

- why has he never heard about Sukuna in any of the books he's read ?

- he historically doesn't exist in anything the devildom has book-wise

- so who is he ?

- needs to find out everything he can about him

- is there a way to separate MC and Sukuna ?

- his blood is boiling at the thought of MC sharing a body with someone

"So you've basically had super human powers this entire time and elected to not tell us ?" Satan glares at MC.

"Well, when you put it like that it sounds bad. I just didn't want you all to meet Sukuna because he has a lot of anger issues and is quite an asshole and I was trying to avoid this entire conversation that is happening," MC sighs.

"Rude," Sukuna says.

"Anger issues. You think we couldn't deal with this ? Are you serious right now ?" Satan asks.

MC shrugs their shoulders nervously.

"How much do you actually know about what sharing a body with him does to you ?" Satan asks while looking at the small mouth and glaring.

"I mean, I get these marks because he had them when he was alive. He was also so powerful to the point he had four arms and another set of eyes, like you saw before. I get those when he takes over mostly, but I can kee him restrained. But the eye thing is why I've always had slits under my eyes because the eyes are the most common thing to show up. The arms don't really. But it's entirely painless so don't worry," MC somewhat calmly explains.

Asmodeus

- asmos not the brightest on the block but from the looks on his brothers faces none of them know what the fuck MC is talking about either.

"So how much of your body can he control ? What can he heal ? Could he bring you back from the dead ?" Asmo curiously asks.

"He can't control much because it's my body and I have a lot of raw power by myself. I don't know if he can bring us back from the dead. I don't think so though or else the Jujutsu school wouldn't have tried to execute me. He used to be able to bring us back when I hadn't eaten all of his fingers, but now I don't think he can," MC explains.

"So why do you let him live in your body if he can't do much for you ?" Asmo questions.

"Well one, I don't think there's a way to get him out-"

"I'm still here you know," Sukuna interrupts.

"You've made that clear," MC says before continuing, "And two he can do stuff for me. It's like a symbiotic relationship. I give him a host and he protects me."

Beelzebub

- even tho MC has gone over it multiple times, he doesn't get how or why Sukuna is in MC's body

"So how long has he been in you ?" Beel asks.

"Can he make you live longer aside from healing you ?" Beel asks hopefully.

"I'm sorry, I don't think so..." MC says while looking at the ground. They cross their arms. They look small, as if they aren't small enough compared to him already.

"So, what does this mean ? Now that your secret is out... are you going to stay in the devildom with us ? Or do you have to leave ?"

" If I leave I'll surely be executed when I go back to the human world. If I stay I don't know what will happen to me, but it's not up to me. It's up to you guys if you want me to stay. I understand if you want me to go, I was harboring a big secret and it's probably unnerving to know that you're never truly alone with me, but Sukuna actually cares about my boundaries even though he acts like he doesn't. There are some pluses and there are some drawbacks but ultimately you have to decide." MC responds, looking from brother to brother then at Dia and Barbatos

Belphie

- MC ? dead if you back to the human world ? doesn't bother him

- he doesn't care

- he hasn't known MC long enough to care

- diavolo may have told everyone that MC was a descendant of human Lilith and he told everyone the events that actually happened, but why should he have any attachment to MC

- MC isnt Lilith, and MC sure as hell doesn't like him after the events that happened today

- from what he's heard, MC dying would be good for the human world

"I say send MC back. What happens to them isnt our problem any more," Belphie says while under his magical restraints Diavolo put on him.

"Of course you would say that," Satan glares at him.

"Shut up Belphie !!" Mammon and Levi yell.

"You don't have any right to an opinion in this matter." Lucifer states.

"Belphie that's mean," Asmo says.

Beel frowns.

"I vote they stay. I like MC regardless, and if all I have to do is adjust to Sukuna then I'll do it," Beel says while looking Belphie dead in the eye.

There's a beat of silence.

"Me too," Mammon says.

"Hey ! I was going to say that !" Levi protests.

"Oooh~ Count me in !" Asmo says with a smile.

"I also think they should stay," Satan says and looks at MC.

"My personal preference is also that they stay, but Lord Diavolo it's up to you," Lucifer says and looks at Dia.

Diavolo

- he knew there was something off, but couldnt place his finger on it

- he also constantly got a powerful vibe from MC and this explains it

- he was very fond of MC and enjoyed their presence

- he knew what he was going to do

"Barbatos, what do you think ?" Dia asks him.

"The decision is up to you m'lord," Barbatos responds.

"Well Id also like the input of my trusty all knowing butler," Diavolo laughs.

"Then, I see no reason to send them back to the human world. They can live out their lives here and safe from the school that wants to execute them. It also wouldn't be an issue to get anyone from the human world here if MC so desired," Barbatos replied.

"Then it's settled ! Welcome to the devildom for the rest of your life MC!!" Diavolo smiled and welcomed MC with open arms.

MC smiled and accepted the hug.

Barbatos

- he didn't know all along, but he know when the timelines crossed and he had to erase the other

- MC was very near and dear to his heart though and he wasnt about to let them be killed

- just wants to keep MC safe

The HC of Din marrying Luke quietly where they’ll exchange the vows among themselves and only announcing it to Leia and Han a couple of months later is good and all, but the idea of Luke dramatically proposing to Din ala PotC in the middle of a battlefield just sings to me.

They’re probably on a rescue mission at a base on some moon that the Imps are holding a dozen of kids as hostages to recruit. It’s heavily guarded and there are a lot of Stormtroopers, because it isn’t the first base Din and Luke have destroyed and at this point, the Imps are ready for them.

But they’re ready for them too, so they go with Leia, Han, and Chewie, with Boba and Fennec coming along because hey, they wanted to join the fun too, and no, Han, Boba’s not gonna try and shoot you again. (“Unless he won’t shut up,” Boba adds breezily, staring straight at Han in the eye that has him spluttering out indignantly.)

So, Han manages to get the kids out of the base and are already on their way into the Falcon where Chewie’s waiting for them, while the rest of their mix-matched team are spread around outside, fighting off the Imps and taking them down with all they got. They think they’re winning, but it’s wave after wave of Troopers and Luke’s getting a little winded.

Then, he catches a gleam of beskar and a whip of a cape as he fights his way through Stormtroopers, and it’s not long before he finds himself in the same space as Din is.

Din’s slashing his way through the sea of white, wielding his Darksaber as if he’s born with it, even if it took months for him to practice with Luke until Din’s comfortable enough to use the saber like he uses his blaster, as if it’s an extension of himself instead of something that he has to hold onto until someone takes it from him. He’s precise in his hits and he moves as if he’s in his element, and perhaps he is, because this is one of the things he’s good at.

It makes Luke lose his breath, because Din looks absolutely powerful, absolutely stunning, under the vivid glare of the evening sun, and the only thing that goes through Luke’s mind as he finds himself distracted by the Mandalorian is, I love him so much and I want to marry him.

And, really, the latter sticks with him until Luke finds himself near Din enough that their backs are almost pressed against each other, fighting off their respective Troopers, before Luke whirls around and grips onto his arm.

Like a true Skywalker, there’s no stopping him from breathlessly say these words when everyone is trying to kill them, “Marry me.”

Din is, understandably, frozen in place, before he swipes the Darksaber behind Luke while he uses the Force to throw some Troopers into the trees. Din, understandably, shouts out, “What?”

“Marry me!” Luke repeats, and there’s a grin on his face and he knows he looks as giddy as he feels.

Luke also knows Din is gaping at him despite the helmet, but then a couple of Troopers try to shoot him down, and Din doesn’t hesitate to shoot them back. “I don’t think this is the best time!”

“I think it is!”

Then, they find themselves in each other’s spaces again, their sabers humming beside them. “Din Djarin,” Luke breathes out. “Will you be my husband?”

“What?” Leia suddenly shouts nearby, shooting down a Trooper. “Now? You’re proposing to him now?”

“That’s what I said,” Din laughs, and it’s as elated as Luke feels and he knows Din is grinning as hard as he is.

“That’s—“ Luke eyes widen for a second and he pushes Din to the side and runs his lightsaber into the middle of some Trooper’s chest. “That’s not an answer!”

Then, he gets pulled back and Din has his hand gripping his arm, his visor directly in his face. “Yes, you foolish Jedi,” he says raggedly. “I’ll marry you.”

Boba, a few feet away, grunts as he rams his elbow into someone’s throat. “Are you kidding me, Skywalker? Right now?”

Luke reaches out and grips Din’s shoulder as Din grips the back of his head, bringing their foreheads together. “Mhi solus tome, mhi solus dar'tome, mhi me'dinui an, mhi ba'juri verde,” Luke pours out, baring his soul to everyone, but most importantly, to the man he’s come to know, come to love, in front of him.

Din hitches in a breath, shoving his forehead into his as he holds Luke tight. “Mhi solus tome, mhi solus dar'tome, mhi me'dinui an, mhi ba'juri verde.”

And Luke laughs, before they have to fight these Troopers off until there are none left to attack them.

We are one when together, we are one when parted, we will share all, we will raise warriors.

The thing about Jiles is. Well the thing about any ship is or like HC is that you CAN expand your mind and conceptualize many different understanding of it, even if some of these ideas contradict each other. Like 80% of the time when I refer to Jiles or think about Jiles I’m talking complete canon Jiles. This is what I explained in length under my video post, and even though it’s canon I still think this is a SUPER interesting relationship to talk about (and like let’s talk about canon Jiles more people. Come on. Most epic friendship of all of trek). But it is JUST A friendship. In canon there are certain moments where they have weird sexual tension but I don’t think that Miles would ever ever cheat on his wife or even really think about it.

But sometimes I am ccrrrraaaaaazzzzzyyyy 😏😏😜😜🤪😜😜🤪 and I’m like babe. Keiko was gone for a year. And literally in canon that was the period that Julian and Miles got close. Baby…. It writes itself. You cannot blame a girl for shipping Jiles, it’s just SO raw sometimes. Also warriors bond ect ect whatever. My point is it’s not happening but it is but it’s not but it is. And also Keiko is an important aspect but NOT because of the polycule. I think keiko being gone for so long would lead to miles having feelings of loneliness would lead to um but anyway. Jiles is not end game. If Miles wasn’t married and he came to the station, I don’t see them being together. The vibes of Jiles is like. It’s desperate it’s sad it’s guilt it’s angst no one is happy no one gets what they want. You ship Jiles if you want to be a little twisted and naughty and bad and feel really bad about yourself and that is jiles explained.

It’s been brought up to me that a lot of my content is Isekai based. However I didn’t want this to be a Ieskai HC post. Instead let me tell you all about a stupid thing I came up with as a kid that I’ve been meaning to make into a fic for so long.:

What if the characters you play actually can feel your presence and/or can hear your commentary when playing?

Fair warning I never play Hyrule Warriors and Twilight Princess so let me know if I got things wrong.

Head canons under cut!

General head canons (These are all platonic headcanons btw.):

- Let’s say that the simple reason that you are here was to help the chain. Think of it like you’re the groups companion on this journey. Who better then someone that knows about each hyrule?

- The people who dealt with a lot of magic recognize you at first. The others need a bit of a push to connect the dots but everyone gets there.

- The connection wasn’t as strong at times during their original adventures, so its not like they could always hear you or sense you.

Time:

- You saw him and it was clear he has another sibling now.

- Time knew you where telling the true, that you followed both of his adventures however he wasn’t going to be fully open to you.

- Guess who isn’t scared of Time? You.

- Literally at one point you’ve pointed at Time and with a straight face says “thats a child”.

- This is also how the chain found out that Time actually fought the moon technically.

- “You fought Majora on the moon while it was falling. That’s not the same thing.”

- You meet Malon and it was an awkward first meeting since how do you explain this in the first place.

- Yet the two of you got along amazingly.

- When you and time are alone you instantly ask Time if he knew how she got the cow in his house. He kinda just… stares at you? Like you just met his wife and thats what your asking about?!

- The answer was that he wasn’t sure how she did that but the cow isn’t in his old house anymore. Since different timelines and all.

- It’s honestly weird for him to have someone remember both of his adventures in confidence.

- All be a little awkward hearing someone go, “oh yeah! Time had to do something similar.”

- Early on Time did go over boundaries since he really doesn’t like to talk about his adventures to much.

- So instead you both agree to be as cryptic as possible or at least there is an attempt on your part. Since your the only other person that can confirm or deny his claims.

- And no. You also don’t know his true age. But your guess is the closest.

Twilight:

- Since he is one of the Link’s that is drenched in magic, he recognizes your aura instantly.

- Chaotic sibling energy.

- If he is giving Wild or any of the other Link’s a hard time you are by his side calling Twilight out. Unless if the person in question did something truly idiotic then you let him go off.

- Speaking of, you call this man out as much as you possibly can. Like hell if you’re going to let the others think he isn’t a gremlin.

- He did try to stop you by covering your mouth but you licked his hand. So…. guess what he isn’t trying again unless it’s necessary.

- Somethings are kept a secret though. Since he did live through it and even if it was stupid he still could of gotten really hurt.

- You both play good cop, bad cop to the younger Links all the time.

- Twi is surprisingly very open with you about his adventure, to finally talk to someone about it with out having it sound crazy is nice.

- He also has some questions about you and your life. Since before this adventure started you just disappeared.

- The two of you honestly get along like two best friends who haven’t seen each other in years but still can banter like its the good old days.

- Knowing only small amounts about what they all been through it’s nice to know that you’re looking after the others as well.

- That feeling makes him really push himself to protect the family he has here and luckily you are here can smack him upside the head before lecturing him.

Warriors:

- heeeeey… you know what happen the last time he met someone that was suppose to be watching over the hero’s spirit?

- Yeah, so….War’s isn’t so keen on trusting you like some of these Heroes.

- You seem nice and not obsessively crazy. If anything what makes him decide to give you a chance. It’s seeing you get along with the other Heroes post battle or around the campfire when you think no one is watching.

- The moment that he recognizes you. You were cursing out some monsters and calling Dink every name under the sun. Which he actually remembers hearing your panicked voice briefly when fighting Cia.

- Anyway, you guys are a sass duo and even a trio when you get Leg involved.

- You steal his scarf sometimes with Time and Wind’s help

- He finds you and Wind wrapped inside of it leaning on time and his heart just- clenches, he has more siblings now!

- Then Warriors realizes he has another sibling… another sibling that will prank him…

- You two can be found discussing tactical strategies. Mostly him teaching you though since depending on the person not many people will know how to lead an army. Yet he is a good teacher and you catch on pretty quickly.

- Same with Twi, Warrior’s needs someone to pull him back sometimes it seems. Who better then to remind him then the person that already saw his lowest moment when his ego got the better of him?

- Seriously speaking. He wouldn’t come to you to talk. If anything he will try to avoid you if he wasn’t his best. In his head he has a reputation to uphold. Which will lead to a heart to heart. No sass. No banter. Just you and him sitting down to remind him that he is human.

- He needs a hug. Please give him a hug.

Sky:

- Sky actually didn’t recognize you at first!

- Yes he felt your presence and hear your voice in his adventure, but that was a while ago at this point. Also he isn’t as connected to magic as the others are.

- He does slowly befriend you despite everything.

- It wasn’t until you referred to a certain demon lord as a ‘B*tch A** Clown’ and a flood gate of memories open up for him. Memories of you cursing out Ghirahim, calling the imprisoned an ‘avocado with feet’ and so on.

- Nothing really changes between you two honestly, he just accepts it.

- If anything he becomes more open to you about everything, setting clear boundaries on what he doesn’t want to bring up. He will tell everyone about the curse eventually, but just hasn’t found a good opportunity too. Things like that.

- You do have to argue with Sky that the curse wasn’t his fault since you were also there when it was put on him, also the fact that he didn’t asked to be cursed in the first place.

- Most of the time you two are together its to get away from the chaos that the group of nine heroes could bring.

- Walking or sitting in silence is how you two end up most of the time together. It may not look like you two are bonding. There are some days while Sky is wood carving you would work on your small hobby as well. Then there are days he plays the harp and your reading.

- Despite it all he really enjoys the peace you bring. There is a sense of comfort that you have.

- When you and Sun finally meet. The first thing you ask him is to be invited to the wedding and it may or may not been in front of her too…

Wild:

- The recognition was really slow for him like Sky. Since Wild just got off of his first adventure he didn’t actually notice you were gone.

- It was until he realized that he couldn’t hear your panicked voice or snarky remarks when fighting in his head. That he finally realized you where outside of his head. He was quick to connects the dots after that.

- There was a moment where he didn’t know how to react since he just figured that you were just from his imagination.

- He now has another adventuring buddy with Hyurle! Though luckily you do keep the both of them from harm. Mostly because if something happens to them you will get in trouble with like Twi and Leg and thats never fun.

- Though you have your moments. Shield surfing and paragliding are on top of that list and Wild is all up for teaching you the ropes.

- The topic of the history of hyrule gets brought up a lot with the two of you. Since his era has a lot of connections to the past era’s. He is all up for learning about what came from where. Soon theories start to fly about.

- When You, Him and Flora are finally all together. There is nothing stopping you all from bouncing off theories. With your outside knowledge mixing with what they know. Things start to fall into place.

- The answer to why the timeline is like this doesn’t get answer. But hey! At least you all are having fun!

- If you can’t cook he will teach you that too! If you can! Well buckle up your going to share your knowledge with him whether you want to or not.

- Once you know how or get used to cooking while camping, you help him out a lot and its these moments where you both talk the most.

- It’s comforting to him to know he wasn’t alone this whole time.

Legend:

- As soon as you two locked eyes he felt instant dread. Yes he knew. No he isn’t going to opening up to you.

- Playful Insults to bond? Yeah that’s literally how he talks to everyone so no special treatment.

- He keeps you at a distance but its not actually working.

- You talk about his adventures so casually like it happened a few days ago. You avoid Link’s Awakening though. If you got hurt with the plot twist then you could only imagine the pain Leg went through.

- “I’m still trying to process the fact you married a tree.” “Hey remember that one time with Yuga, you slammed face first into a wall so hard you knocked yourself out?” “God do you not wear pants because of the fish thing?”

- This relationship is literally: Only I can bully this one.

- He fears the moment you meet Ravio and Fable knowing full well you all will bond over teasing him.

- Overall though he knows you got his back no matter what, to the point he finds himself confining in you slowly.

- Guess who is also teaming up with Hyrule to get Legend to sleep. It you.

- Once you probably have forced him to sleep by getting wolfie to lay on him. It was the wolf or yourself. In the end it was both of you and he was trapped.

- A sign that he was becoming soft towards you was when he started sharing his items with you. He trusts that you know how to use them and if you don’t he is actually willing to show you.

- He regrets giving the bee badge to you.

Hyrule:

- Another person that is drenched in magic. It only took one look at you for him to realize who you were.

- The two of you were awkward as anything at first. Since to you he never really spoken in his adventure so you didn’t know how to picture his personality.

- There’s a lot of mystery in your mind about him since again there isn’t much to go off of with what your given in game. It’s weird for him to hear about how you interpret his personality from that perspective.

- Hyrule didn’t honestly expect you to try and befriend him tbh. It mostly him over thinking it.

- You do follow him sometimes when he wants to wander around and explore. Mostly because you claim he finds the coolest things when he does.

- But its just a excuse to actually get to know him.

- The two of you trade stories and questions about each of your lives. There might be things you know that he might not know of about his adventure and his hyrule.

- Of course never going into to much details since there are things you couldn’t tell him.

- Hyrule honestly was dreading the day you all would land in his Era. He loves his home but is also very aware of it not being the most…welcoming place.

- So it’s more then surprising to him that there is even more then the glint of familiarity and excitement on your face. Knowing full well what dangers where a head of you, you still were open to exploring his world to the fullest.

- It’s honestly refreshing to see someone love his era as much as he does.

- Another boy that needs hugs, please give him a hug.

- You both cheer each other on though.

- This relationship is just aggressive support between you two and the others.

Four: (I’m actively mixing the Four Sword game and manga just to be clear.)

- Not sure if he would know exactly who you where since during the second adventure your voice and presence bounce between the four of them.

- Yet I also feel like he took after you because he was a child in his first adventure, which worries you a lot. Since you did have choice words for Vaati.

- The first to realize was Vio then it went Blue, Red and Green. Despite being in the same head it was just a theory they had over all. They all had their own ways of confirming it.

- Vio noticed the small things you do around Four. Like not stepping on their shadow, and covering Four when things got chaotic in their head. Small references here and there. When the two of you are alone he almost quizzes you about things. Just to see how much you know and to see if your telling the true or not.

- Blue recognize your mannerisms being something he picked up on during the first and second adventure. Only vaguely since again he was a child / there was only a small part only with him. Your fighting banter when your in battle made you see where Blue got his colorful language from…

- Your comfort was what clued Red in. He remembers your presence more clearly then the others from the first and second adventure. It was a comforting (yet chaotic) presence in their adventures that he latched on to. More so from his first adventure since as a kid he made an imaginary friend to process the fact he could sense and hear your presence. When you came back in the second time around it felt so natural for Red to have you there and really helped make him go forward through his small journey.

- For Green? It was a lot of things but when he see’s you treating each color differently when they are in charged. It’s a refreshing sight to be honest. He just enjoys hearing and seeing that his brothers had someone to confide in. Even when they switch who is in control you some how could tell and spoke to them accordingly.

- They were all some what surprise that none of the others picked up on your treatment of him swapping so much. Yet their also glad because their not ready to reveal themselves quiet yet.

- As Four or as you nicknamed him ‘Rainbow’ the two of you tend to sick together when the world’s shift around. Since his body needs more time to recover.

- You two are another pair that cheers each other on when the moral is low.

- He introduces you to the Minish! Getting you a jabber nut so you can speak to them too. You can’t shrink down to properly talk to them so this was the next best thing.

- The four of them makes you a dagger to bring home to remember him by, there’s a kin stone imbedded where the blade meets the hilt.

Wind: (hello self projection my dear friend)

- Wind didn’t recognize you ether at first, yet he didn’t even blink when you join everyone. He was fully on board with getting a new member and is easiest the most opened.

- It was when you two are alone together that something clicked in his head. You see during the Wind Waker he was alone most of the time when he was on land. So he had to face a lot by himself.

- Having you was reassuring to him when facing some of the monsters alone, especially with the puppet ganon fight. The two of you both agree that it was creepy.

- CHAOTIC SIBLINGS PART 2… well kinda

- Wind is a lot more mature then you realized but you two still have those moments.

- You, Aryll and Grandma get along too! So he and his family basically sees you and the chain as family.

- Pranking buddies! You’re targets would never know. Mostly because your covering up for him. You two team up with Four and Wild so the pranks can get chaotic at times.

- No matter what age you are compare to him and if your ok with it he does like platonic physical affection. Your going to be trading off with Warriors a lot of the time for cuddles or it’s the three of you together.

- You teaching him our worlds sea shanties and him teaching you his? Heck yeah! Even making up songs with the others is something on the table and in the works which is nice.

- It’s another thing to bring back home thats personalized!

Honestly since I’ve written all of this down I want to write the fic more. Though I’ll probably not only because idk if people would even read it lol. So it will just be a bunch of head canons. Anyway rambling is done.
