This post isn't me stopping myself from screaming Beyonce was robbed.
also inspired by THIS post that got me thinking about Steddie at the Grammys.
AU where Steve Harrington is at the Grammys, just a smaller indie artist who finds himself nominated for Best Rock Album. He's in the same category as Corroded Coffin, a metal band who similarly, aren't expected to win. The favourite is some younger group who are basically just pop with a bit of an edge. Plus they've all been shoved at tables that certainly aren't the main attraction, away from centre stage and constant camera pans.
Steve's "date" is his best friend Robin, and every question (okay, the few questions he got) on the red carpet were about her. And they just laughed and fumbled their way through answers that never technically answered if they are dating or not.
There's a commercial break in the ceremony, so a lot of people are mingling. It's pretty crowded and loud and Steve is starting to feel overwhelmed... And his category is up soon. Oh god, what if he wins...
"Great album, man," someone says as a hand claps on his shoulder.
Robin makes some kind of excited squee noise and Steve feels her fumble around at her feet.
"I'm going for more drinks!" she practically shouts in his ear, leaving it ringing.
Before Steve can turn around she disappears.
"Your girlfriend knows it's table service, right?" the voice offers.
Steve finally turns around to find the lead singer of Corroded Coffin saying before him, smiling. He's dressed in leather pants with a sheer black top under his jacket, exposing a chest tattoo. He looks completely different to the wild performance he gave about half an hour ago, screaming and trashing about on stage and not sending Steve's heart racing.
He must be staring because the Hot Lead Singer of Corroded Coffin furrows his brow.
"Oh, um," Steve stutters, clutching his place card in his hands once again. It's completely tattered now from fiddling with it most of the night.
"First time here?" the man asks, quickly moving behind him to sit in Robin's vacated seat.
"Yeah," Steve replies. "It's a lot."
The man laughs, fluttering his eyelashes as he props an arm on the table, exposing ring-adorned fingers. Gosh, he's pretty.
"It makes for a pretty cool date night."
"Oh, Rob - Robin!" Steve chokes and awkwardly thumbs behind him. "She's not my girlfriend."
The man nods, looking him over. Steve blushes and scrambles to add, "Your performance was great."
"Felt like we were asked to perform to appease rock fans, really," he shrugs. "It's all overproduced garbage now. Not you though!"
He places a hand on Steve's knee at that last point.
"Thanks," Steve huffs, bashful as he ignores the panic reaching every inch of his being.
"Name's Eddie," Eddie clarifies.
"Steve!" he... announces?
What was that? Can he actually be not this, right now...
He's saved by the bell as the event announcer informs the audience of the return from the commercial break and begins listing the next categories. Eddie squeezes Steve's thigh.
"Talk later," he smiles, before darting back to his table.
Neither Steve nor Corroded Coffin win. As predicted, it's the pop/not-really-rock group. Steve nods his way through condolences at his table, including his manager and Robin who had far too higher expectations.
As soon as the winners leave the stage, the overhead announcer informs of yet another commercial break. And before Steve knows it, Eddie is back, crouching down beside him and placing his hand over his.
"Tough luck, Steve," he says, although he doesn't look at least a bit disappointed. "Wanna go to the afterparty with me?"
Steve looks to Robin for approval.
"Yes," she says through gritted teeth, kicking him hard under the table.
He closes his eyes and winces at the pain. Does she really need to be this kind of a wingman at the goddamn Grammys?
"Sure," he says to Eddie, wincing again because he's sounding way too casual (and he might also be bracing himself for another kick).
"Great!" Eddie beams and leans in, close enough to whisper. "We're gonna have some fun."

I saw that your requests for JJK are open. Can I get an opera singer girlfriend headcanon for Geto?💃💋
Geto Suguru with an Opera Singer Girlfriend
tw: slight angst at the end (because it's Geto Suguru), but otherwise none.
a/n: This is my first time writing for JJK, so do let me know if you have any feedback or comments!
Tumblr media
Geto Suguru likes to think that if he hadn't become a jujutsu sorcerer, he would've pursued something in the arts. Perhaps he would've become an author, or a sculptor. But he's made up his mind to be a jujutsu sorcerer, and so art remains a hobby to him.
Nevertheless, he holds creatives in high regard. He's under no illusion that an art career is difficult, and he admires the consistency and courage it requires. Geto finds it freeing to watch an artist create or perform—it feels like watching birds fly overhead.
Opera is an art he doesn't have a lot of experience with, so he queries about it often at the start of your relationship. How did you get into opera? What do you love about it? Do you have a favourite singer, or aria? Do you have a dream role? He enjoys learning about the art form, but even more so the bright expression on your face as you talk about it.
He asks Satoru for help. Going to the opera was part of Satoru's fancy Gojo clan upbringing, and Suguru pesters Satoru for any knowledge he has on the art. Satoru is unfortunately useless (he always fell asleep during it), but he helps by using the Gojo name to procure free opera tickets.
He makes it a habit to carry extra lozenges for you. Suguru has them for when his cursed technique takes a toll on his throat and tongue. But he's started associating them more with you, when you steal his candies to soothe your throat after practice. He sneaks a few into your bag, just to be safe.
He also brings you warm drinks whenever you meet up. When his throat hurts he tends to chew on ice, but he's heard that's bad for singers. If you have a favourite hot beverage, he makes it a point to always get it for you.
Suguru calls you "my songbird", as a pet name. He uses it when you're feeling a bit insecure about your talent, wanting to cheer you up. "Won't you sing me a tune, my songbird? You have such a pretty voice." If you need an extra laugh, he'll reference the Phantom of the Opera, putting on a dramatic voice: "Sing for me, my Angel of Music! Sing for me!"
As a date idea, you decide to teach him how to sing an opera duet. Suguru isn't very confident in his singing, but he lets you try to coach him. He's somewhere between a tenor and a baritone, according to your observations. His cursed technique actually means he's great at controlling his throat, so he's less inclined to strain his voice.
Unless he's away on a mission and can't physically be there, he'll attend all of your performances. You get a bouquet of flowers after every performance, and a kiss to your cheek as he murmurs praise into your ear. If he's unable to make it, you get a good luck text beforehand, his bouquet of flowers sent directly to your changing room instead.
He asks you to sing him to sleep after particularly stressful missions. Suguru doesn't enjoy opening up about being a jujutsu sorcerer—he'd much rather keep that part of his life away from you—but he still wishes to seek comfort, in his own way. The way he usually does this is by lying his head in your lap, or asking you about the songs you practiced that day. When you answer, he'll express an interest in hearing an excerpt, quickly falling asleep to your voice when you oblige.
My pretty girl with a pretty voice. What else could a man ask for, songbird? Don't be shy. I love hearing you sing.

Louis Tomlinson has dropped a surprise album ‘Live’ – featuring songs that he recorded at 15 shows across 15 different cities.
Announced and shared yesterday (April 25), the album comes after the singer and former One Direction member embarked on two world tours over the past three years – playing just shy of 200 shows globally.
Now, a variety of performances from both tours – the ‘Louis Tomlinson World Tour’ and the ‘Faith in the Future World Tour’ – have been compiled into a new live album, which is available now.
Fifteen songs are included in the tracklist, and each was recorded in a different city, at a different show from across the three-year run. The album comes in both digital and physical formats, and features his singles including ‘Bigger Than Me’, ‘We Made It, ‘Walls’ and ‘Out Of My System’, alongside fan favourite album tracks, all released live for the very first time.
“I’ve been lucky enough to spend the last 3 years touring the world twice over. The feeling I get sharing those live moments will be with me forever,” Tomlinson said in a statement. “To be able to record these songs from all over the world and put them out as an album like this feels so special, and a real tribute to the fans who make each and every show feel unique and incredible. Thank you! Enjoy!”
There are four exclusive tracks split between the physical editions of ‘Live’, including a special version of the One Direction classic ‘Where Do Broken Hearts Go’ – which is available only on the double CD.
Accompanying video clips of compiled tour footage will be shared on Louis’s social channels to support the release, showcasing a glimpse into his past three years on the road and 170 performances.
At time of writing, Tomlinson has shared two huge solo albums since departing from One Direction. His debut album arrived in the firm of 2020’s ‘Walls’, which has sold over 1.5 million copies, and the follow-up was called ‘Faith In The Future’. The latter went to Number One in the UK, Spain and Belgium, and Top 5 in the USA, Australia, New Zealand and across Europe.
Since May last year, Tomlinson has been on his ‘Faith In The Future World Tour’, which hits South America next month for its final leg. From there, the vocalist has a number of festival appearances lined up for the summer. Find remaining tickets to his shows here.
In other Louis Tomlinson news, earlier this week the singer, alongside Courteeners and English Teacher, were among the acts to be honoured at the first-ever Northern Music Awards.
The inaugural ceremony was hosted by the UK’s largest music therapy charity, Nordoff And Robbins and took place at the Albert Hall in Manchester; celebrating northern artists, festivals, venues and industry figures. The event saw Tomlinson named as Artist Of The Year.

First musical emotion?
TF: I grew up in an environment full of music, with a very open-minded mother who listened to a lot of pop and rock music and, above all, an older brother who was 13 years older than me. That's how much I was immersed in teenage culture as a child. I was 3 years old in 1984 when the glam metal wave invaded the airwaves and TV screens. These bands, like Kiss, WASP or Mötley Crüe, very strong visually for a child, attracted me irresistibly. And let's not forget Twisted Sister. I Wanna Rock is the track that remains the basis, the trigger for everything for me. A song that, at 3, 13, 23 or 43 years old, still has the same effect on me as soon as I hear it: to jump in the air like a madman.
First record bought?
If not Kiss, probably a Rolling Stones album. It didn't make much of an impression on me because my brother used to buy so many of them, so my money was mostly spent on Star Wars stuff. There are tons of bands I love, but I think the Stones are my favourite. Because they embody everything I love about rock, even though they weren't as sophisticated as the Beatles or Pink Floyd. Between 1967 and 1972, in their darkest period, nobody did it better than them: they had the look, the attitude, the style and, on top of that, the songs! Let It Bleed is incredible, with songs like Midnight Rambler and Live With Me. As much as I admire technical singers, virtuosos of harmony, Jagger remains unique. I've never tried to imitate him, but as a performer he is the absolute model.
First concert of note?
My brother used to take me to see local punk bands at a very early age, but I remember B.B. King most of all, when I was about 5 or 6, with my mother. It was a jazz festival, outside in the courtyard of a castle, a very cool atmosphere. As soon as B.B. King started playing, there was electricity in the air. Everyone got up and started dancing, I was blown away. And as I was the only one of my age, I could move around freely, so much so that I found myself in the backstage, in front of B.B. King himself! He invited me into his dressing room: "Do you play the guitar?" - Yes! - so don't stop!" And I took his advice. Even though I sing on stage, the guitar is still my favourite instrument, the one I play and master the most.
The band that best managed to avoid the pitfall of the image taking precedence over the music?
Kiss, unfortunately, was far from being up to the task musically. Alice Cooper, after two minor first albums, went on to make four incredible albums with the original Alice Cooper Group. Above all, he made a phenomenal comeback with Welcome to My Nightmare in 1975. After that, the show took over... The band that managed to stay straight and dignified, without compromising the artistic quality of their work, is undoubtedly Iron Maiden. All of their 80's production is impeccable, and if they had a slump in the 90's, they came back even stronger with the return of Bruce Dickinson, and have been going strong for twenty years! Their work ethic is exemplary. With Ghost, we take up Phantom of the Opera, one of my favourite tracks from their early period, and one of the few where I felt we could add a little something to it.
Best punk song in the world?
There are so many, because I was also brought up on the sounds of the Pistols, the Ramones, the Dead Kennedys... But as a kid, I never got tired of listening to The Great Rock'n'Roll Swindle again, especially the sequence where Sid Vicious sings My Way. His version is one of my favourite songs of all time. What could be more awesome than to see a guy slaughtering this standard while doing the same, shooting the shit, with the audience that came to see him! It was like the ultimate middle finger, and it made me happy, and it showed me the way.
The band that remains the grail for you?
Queen, because the show side, the big show, is the ultimate for me. In the early 70s, my favourite musical period, there were no big shows yet, like the Stones started doing afterwards. Queen is the same. Of course, their best albums are from the 70s, but the peak of their career for me is the Wembley concert in 1986. Magic wasn't a great record, but the show was breathtaking, dantesque, with a repertoire as vast as it was delirious. If Ghost could ever come close to the 1986 Queen, I would be delighted.
The greatest Swedish band?
ABBA, of course. No one will ever be able to stand in their way. The Beatles are the monarchs of English rock, ABBA the monarchs of Swedish pop. Björn and Benny are national heroes. I found myself at a huge, formal party when Benny suddenly sat down at the piano and started Thank You For the Music. There was silence in a second. This guy is a monument. You can't imagine what ABBA has done, not only for pop music, but also for Sweden and the Swedes. This band proved that you can move mountains.
Which Ghost song are you most proud of?
Cirice, probably. I often write my songs by singing into my phone a melody that is in my head. We were about to finish the album Meliora. And the co-producer tells me that a really heavy and powerful track is missing. I tell him I have this heavy, heavy, macabre sounding tune with a long intro and a crushing riff. He suggests I tweak it while he goes for a run. When he came back, I had written a chorus, lyrical, catchy. It wasn't the leaden track he was hoping for. But it won us a Grammy!
The most evil band?
Certainly not Mercyful Fate, as one might imagine. They, like most Norwegian death metal bands, more or less satanic, are the most charming guys I've ever met. They seem more like nice teachers than evil creatures. The scariest band is probably Von, a mythical American black metal band from Hawaii. These guys were really scary, with their terrifying size, they looked really dangerous. But I think the evil is mostly on the side of those who pretend to defend the good. For me, the most evil and unattractive musician is Ted Nugent. He's pro-life, pro-hunting, and claims he's only fighting for freedom. But the world he defends is about as free and tolerant as Vladimir Putin's. I refuse to listen to him.

Into the World - Kaji Fes. 2023 Day 2
Some more in-depth Kalafina thoughts inspired by several discussions in the reply section of my latest live report about Kaji Fes. 2023 Day 2. "Into the World" was probably the Kalafina cover that left the most lasting impression on me. From what the girls have shared in various interviews, this song represents a beautiful end to an eventful stage of life and a slow transition into uncharted territory. At the time it was written, Kalafina's disbandment and the subsequent start of their solo careers were probably on no one's radar but ironically, it couldn't have been a more perfect match for the whole situation. The final few performances of the song (when everyone involved must have already been aware of what was about to happen) have a particularly strong impact on me and the same can be said about the covers they have done as solo artists/FJ. This is easily my favourite cover because the strong extra vocals add so much texture to the song. It's one of those Kalafina tracks where I mostly prefer the studio version because the girls tend to sound a bit shaky/shouty during live performances so this was overall a bit more polished I think. The harmonies are really good here. Also, I loved seeing Keiko get so emotional towards the end (even though it did result in her getting a teeny, tiny bit shouty again :P)
"Magia" was my second-favourite Kala-cover. It worked wonderfully to put the focus on Hikaru and highlight her prowess as a singer which is unfortunately something that none of the other Kalafina songs of the evening managed to do. I wish they had chosen songs with a stronger emphasis on Hikaru's voice like "ARIA", "One Light", "Mata Kaze ga...", "in every nothing", etc... Also, I did have some issues with Joelle sounding a bit too overpowering during certain parts. There are Kalafina songs where she manages to blend in better but here, her vocals just stand out too much, especially when trying to harmonise with Keiko.
"storia" has never done Hikaru any favours I'm afraid and this performance is no exception. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE "storia" but that's mostly because I am obsessed with the WaKei chorus. Joelle does a good enough job here but as I have mentioned in my report, I am way too hung up on Wakana to ever be able to appreciate another singer stepping in for her during parts that I love.
I honestly don't remember much about "KNGNN" so I guess I will have to wait for the BD release. It's yet another song that doesn't exactly flatter Hikaru though so that's a shame.
As I have never felt a strong connection to "TTB", the performance doesn't really do anything for me.
On a random and more or less unrelated side note, I LOVED this moment of Keiko showing a tiny bit of vulnerability here at the very end of the concert. It's rare to see her in tears on stage.
Tumblr media
And let's not forget that precious HiKei moment right after this. Them holding hands. Keiko leaning on Hikaru's shoulder. Keiko smiling brightly but clearly relieved that it's over - "owatta".

Secretive.
18+ ONLY. MINORS DNI.
____________________________________
A/N: For me, when inspiration hits, it's usually through pictures. And when I saw this one (credits to the owner), I felt the absolute need to write something for our beloved Sammy. I had this in my drafts for a while and I decided to let it see the light of the day, finally.
Word count: 3.7K
Pairing: Sam x female!reader
Warnings: NSFW 18+ONLY, graphic sexual content, language, fingering, protected penetrative sex.
Summary: A charismatic bassist catches your eye while you are working as a photographer in a little concert venue.
____________________________________
Concert photography had always been one of your favourite hobbies. It certainly didn't pay the bills but you couldn't help it, you really loved it.
So, whenever you could, you always packed your gear and camera and lived your dream for the night.
You worked as a freelance photographer and, tonight, you were in an intimate lovely little venue in the heart of your city.
Being able to picture the love and dedication of fans and the absolute passion some musicians showed on stage was what really kept you going.
The rush of adrenaline you felt around you right when the artist got on stage didn't wear off for days, just like the lingering post concert depression.
It was something you cherished and couldn't find anywhere else but during live performances.
Witnessing the magic happen from your special spot right in front of the stage was just the cherry on top.
Feeling the deep vibrations of the drums and the shivering caused by particularly well-placed guitar solos and powerful singing was absolutely like breathing for you.
But if there was something you really adored, it was being able to hear the low but heavenly strumming of the bass clearly, something you almost never could do only listening to music with headphones.
No, for that you had to go to concerts and live them in person.
That's why you almost always took the side of the stage where bass players were.
Of course, you usually ran around to get the best shots of every member of the bands and their fans, but you couldn't deny the steady pull that somehow made sure you always went back to your favourite spot, right in front of the bass player.
Tonight was no exception.
You found yourself, photographer pass and camera around your neck, in the few metres of space that separated the crowd from the stage.
You shivered with anticipation as, in the darkness, you heard the first few notes of a guitar echo through the venue.
The fans were screaming in front of you and when the lights finally turned on, illuminating the stage, they were going absolutely wild.
Nobody was on stage yet, but your hands were shivering a little.
The beginning of a show always made you feel a bit anxious, but in a very good way.
You heard a few more notes and, this time, you could pinpoint the source of it.
The guitarist made his entrance surrounded by artificial smoke and positioned himself on the left side of the stage.
In the meantime, the drummer sat down in front of his kit and another slim figure approached your side and sat down behind the keyboards.
You started taking a few shots of them and then the singer made his entrance too, causing the crowd to become even more chaotic.
You were waiting for the bass player, but nobody arrived.
The group you were photographing was young, but you didn't know much about them. From what you could see and hear, they were very talented.
You decided to go up the stage to be closer and take the best shots you could.
You flashed your pass to the security and they let you in. It was nice to be able to go up the stage and see the audience from the same perspective the band saw it.
The keyboardist was too entranced by his music to pay any attention to you when you snapped a few pics of him, his beautiful keyboards and organ and his talented fingers dancing on them. His dark hair, cascading on his shoulders and in front of his face, gave him a mysterious aura.
Right next to him, there were two beautiful basses, one dark and another bright pastel green.
You took a good look at them and you felt relieved that there was going to be someone playing them soon, but you didn't know who.
When you approached the drummer, he made eye contact with you and smiled kindly. His hair was long, curly and wild, making him look like a rockstar from the 70s. Taking a closer look you could see he was wearing eyeliner. He was beautiful. You took a few pics of him too, making sure to capture his strong arms and expressions of pure bliss while he hit his drums.
Then you moved to the guitarist side. When he saw you he smiled at you a little more smugly and winked, making you blush. You smiled back and snapped a picture of him flicking his long hair backwards while moving his fingers expertly on the fretboard of his Gibson. You did a close-up of his fingers sliding on the strings as he finger picked his electric and another one of his gorgeous face as he kept the pick between his lips.
Afterwards, your attention was captured by the singer, dancing and jumping like a madman around the stage with a golden cape and a nice white jumpsuit with embroidered feathers.
When he spotted you, he came closer and put on a show just for your camera, grinning. His eyes glimmered with mirth as he played with your lens. It was a real pleasure photographing him.
You snapped a few pictures of the fans and climbed off the stage and went back to your usual spot, to the one you thought was the bassist's side.
You lifted your gaze on the stage and froze.
The keyboardist was already watching you as he got up from the stool and grabbed a bass, the surf green one.
He slung it across his shoulders and came closer to the edge of the stage as the crowd behind you started screaming and waving at him.
You snapped a few pictures of him before he started playing and you felt a little shiver run down your spine when you saw the little smirk playing on his lips as he towered above you from the stage.
He was stunning in his pastel pink suit and you couldn't take your eyes and lenses off him.
When he started plucking at the bass strings the vibrations reverberated in your entire body.
That's exactly why you loved bass.
He played with such passion that your camera was glued on him. You tried to focus also on his other bandmates but you couldn't help it, you had to watch him, he had cast a spell on you.
And it seemed that his eyes and smirk were always directed towards you, his piercing gaze was making you blush. He was very talented, just like the others, and being able to watch him from this close was a real pleasure.
He was absolutely shredding those strings and the vibrations you heard in your body were heavenly.
You couldn't take your eyes off his fingers, bending and plucking the strings and he noticed, his smirk deepening and turning smug.
You blushed and decided to change place, his gaze was starting to burn and you couldn't take it anymore. You went to the guitarist's side and stayed there, but your mind and eyes always went back to the bassist, even though it was a little more subtle than before.
~
The concert finished too soon for your liking. You could have listened to these boys all night.
As the fans started exiting the building, you went to pack your gear and started to head out from the side of the stage.
You were alone walking down a corridor when you felt strong hands grabbing your shoulders from behind and pulling you in a dark room nearby.
The door closed behind you with a loud bang making you jump and leaving you in complete darkness except for the faint green light coming from an emergency exit sign above your head.
You saw a figure in front of you, tall, lanky and dressed in pink.
You knew who it was, but you were too shocked to speak.
He didn't utter a single word, he kept staring at you, standing in semi-darkness, with his chest heaving slightly and his hooded eyes.
He motioned with his hand to the door and you knew he wanted to tell you that you could leave, if you wanted.
You turned around quickly, grabbed the door knob and stopped.
You could hear your heart beating deafeningly loud in your throat and ears, your hands were shaking and you felt weak at the knees.
You couldn't deny the whole situation was having an effect on you, but it wasn't at all the one you should have had.
Being trapped in a room with a complete stranger shouldn't make you feel butterflies in your stomach, but there you were.
It didn't help in the slightest that the complete stranger was the very attractive bass player you had been drooling on for the whole concert.
At least he gave you a choice.
Your hand slowly slipped from the doorknob and landed on the key underneath. You could feel his burning gaze on the back of your neck since he couldn't see what you were doing.
You took a deep breath and made up your mind.
You turned the key in the lock and slowly turned around.
You couldn't finish the motion as his strong hands and body pinned you against the wall next to the door.
He smelled of incense and you felt intoxicated by him.
He didn't waste time and captured your lips in a searing kiss.
You were too shocked to act and he took the lead placing his hands on both sides of your face and taking advantage of a sigh from your part to deepen the kiss.
You felt his warm soft tongue licking his way in your mouth and your hands flew to the back of his neck, bringing him impossibly close to you and making him groan lightly at the proximity.
He clouded all of your senses: the sound of his heavy breathing as he kissed you, the intense incense smell that radiated from his body, the warmth of his body pressed against yours, the sweet taste of his lips and the fact that ten minutes before you couldn't take your eyes off him grounded you there.
He could do anything he wanted with you, you wouldn't complain.
He parted your legs with his knee and you slid your hands into his soft luscious hair, gaining a slight nip on your bottom lip from him.
You moaned lightly when his hands lifted your tshirt and came in contact with the bare skin of your back.
He broke the kiss and looked at you intensely in the eyes, panting, silently asking for permission to take off your t-shirt.
You nodded and he eagerly took it off, leaving you in a simple black bralette.
He started kissing your neck, nipping harshly at your collarbone.
You decided that he should match your state of undress and your hands slowly let his jacket slide off his shoulders leaving his chest free.
A thin layer of sweat was shining on him, making him glow eerily in the faint green light.
You were growing wetter by the second.
When his hands reached for your jeans, he stopped once again to silently ask for your consent.
You nodded eagerly, throwing your caution and modesty to the wind.
He yanked them open and pulled them off your legs, kneeling down in front of you and removing your shoes.
You bit your bottom lip at the sight and he smirked as you blushed.
He raised to his feet and your hands brushed over his chest and down his abdomen, reaching the hem of his pants. You slipped the tip of your pointer finger inside them, but he was quicker.
He got rid of them in a second, letting them pool at his already bare feet. You felt his gaze on your lower half, tracing the tip of his finger on the band of your underwear and making goosebumps rise on your body.
He smirked once again and kissed you deeply pushing his entire body against yours again.
You didn't stop the faint moan that escaped your lips when you felt his still clothed erection press right against you, making him groan deeply in his chest.
One of his hands flew at your throat.
His thumb pressed under your chin making you bend your head backwards and holding you still as he kissed you sweetly.
He was taller than you and towered over you, so your head was draped back against the wall.
His other hand traced on the straps of your bralette and dragged them down your shoulders. Then he dragged the item off your body, completely, leaving your upper half exposed.
His hand dipped between the two of you and cupped your heat, making you bite his lip mid-kiss at the contact.
You nodded without waiting for him to ask for your permission and his eyes lidded even more than before.
He bent down slightly to kiss your breasts, grazing his teeth on your nipples and making you whine.
Then, he pushed your panties to the side keeping eye contact, tracing a single finger along your slit.
You groaned and the muscle in your abdomen clenched.
He put a bit more pressure to his fingers and stroked your clit, making you shudder.
He bent down and removed your panties, then stood and grabbed the back of your right knee, placing your leg high on his hip, holding it there with a strong grip spreading you more for him and then touched you again.
Fuck, he is skilled with those hands, you thought.
He was making you loose control pretty quickly as your head fell backwards against the wall.
You felt his fingers move exactly in the same way that he plucked at his bass, strumming your folds like he did with his strings.
Two of his fingers sunk so deep inside of you making tingles and shivers run up your spine.
When he bent them forward you saw him grin slyly at your trembling and groaning.
His thumb kept torturing your clit and your eyes rolled back at the sensation.
Not even your fingers felt that good, you wanted him to stay there forever.
You felt him press himself against your thigh and snaked a hand down to caress him through his tight boxers.
He groaned and bit down harshly on the junction between your neck and shoulder, bending his fingers mercilessly inside of you nudging your g-spot again and again.
You came muffling your cries in the crook of his neck.
Once you came down from your high, he was already staring at you with hunger in his eyes.
Your leg was still on his hip, his grip on you like iron.
You hooked your fingers in the elastic band of his boxers and dragged them down, slowly.
You gasped at his size and averted your gaze from him, embarrassed.
He grabbed your jaw, shifted your gaze back up on his face and watched you closely for any sign of insecurity about the situation.
You smiled at him and he did the same, eyes turning sweet and then playful as he let
your leg fall from his hip and bent down to retrieve something from the back pocket of his pants.
After a second, he stood, towering again over you and kissed you breathless again.
You could feel him hot and hard pressed against you, your hands grabbing his hips and descending on his ass bringing him closer to grind on you.
He gasped, but stopped you, opening the condom with his teeth and sliding it on, groaning.
Then he leant his forehead against yours silently asking for permission again.
The fact that he wasn't talking was driving you insane.
You nodded, biting your lower lip as he chuckled, grabbing your leg again and planting it on his hip.
You felt his tip brush against your overstimulated clit and jolted.
His hand that wasn't on your leg pressed your other hip strongly against the wall and, with a swift, harsh thrust of his hips, he entered you.
Fuck.
The stretch stung deliciously and left you out of breath, completely.
You winced loudly, hiding your face in the crook of his neck and biting him like he did to you before.
Your breathing was laboured and your eyes squeezed shut.
He snickered through clenched teeth at your reaction, but stayed still to allow you to relax and adjust to his size.
You tried to relax and heard him sigh as you did your best to do so, deciding to wrap your other leg on his waist, too, bringing him even deeper.
You raised your head from his shoulder and kissed him, squeezing his hips and allowing him to move.
He didn't need to be told twice.
He slid almost all the way out of you and slammed back in again, making your head tud against the wall and cutting the wind out of your lungs.
He wasn't being sweet, but you absolutely loved it.
You bit his bottom lip mid-kiss and he groaned, repeating his previous motion and pushing you against the wall by your throat, squeezing lightly and making you gasp.
One of your hands gripped the hair at the base of his neck and brought him closer in a kiss that was almost only tongue and teeth.
You couldn't take enough of him.
Your other hand was on his back, sinking your nails in his muscles and making him moan in your mouth.
A moment after, he broke the kiss, grabbed the back of your left knee that was wrapped around his waist too and pushed your leg against the cold wall, spreading you even more and thrusting in, making you bite hard on your lips, trying not to scream.
He kept doing that and you felt yourself spiralling closer to release, again.
It was almost impossible for you to keep quiet because of the way he was moving.
Every thrust felt so deep.
Suddenly, the hand that wasn't gripping your leg came to your mouth, silencing you as a particularly harsh thrust nudged your g-spot and grazed your clit, at the same time.
You didn't know the reason for his reaction, but a few seconds later you understood.
You heard footsteps approaching outside, very close to the door and fear invaded you.
He kept moving, his dark gaze burning into your eyes, but he made sure to be quiet and keep you quiet at the same time.
You heard someone touch the doorknob, but thank God you had turned the key in the lock.
Then you heard the sound of footsteps slowly fading away and you sighed in relief.
He picked up his pace then and kept pounding relentlessly inside of you, making you clench tightly around him.
The hand on the back of your knee was keeping you grounded against the wall and you were sure he was leaving a big dark hand-shaped mark on you.
You were biting your bottom lip so hard you were about to break the skin, but when his hand went to your core and his thumb began stroking your clit again in swift thigh circles, you almost screamed and pleaded with him to continue.
A few seconds later you were coming with a muffled cry in the crook of his neck and he followed you closely, his release filling the condom as he grunted with a harsh bite on your neck and a final strong thrust of his hips.
He collapsed against you on the wall and you did your best to keep the two of you steady with your hands on the wall.
You were both covered in sweat, exhausted and your chests heaved.
His hands were on either side of your face on the wall and you were both trembling because of the exertion.
He grabbed your hips and pulled out of you gently making you wince again, removed the condom and then leant his forehead against yours and you heard his beautiful voice for the first time.
"I didn't want to hurt you, I am sorry" he said, voice raspy and deep.
"Don't worry. As you can tell, I liked it" you answered him blushing because of what you two just did.
He stroked your cheek kindly.
"I have never done something remotely close to this in my entire brief concert photographer career" you told him sheepishly.
He grabbed your chin between thumb and index finger and spoke again.
"Well, love, I liked that very much, we can do this whenever you want. By the way, my name is Sam" he said, eyes never leaving yours.
"Nice to meet you" you told him your name and he smiled.
"It was a real pleasure meeting you" he said and winked at you.
You both got dressed again, and just before exiting, you heard footsteps outside.
You looked at him frightened and he motioned with his index finger on his lips, signalling to you to keep quiet.
You heard a voice shout in a harsh tone "Samuel, for the love of God, where the fuck are you! We are leaving in five, with or without you"
He snickered silently as presumably one of his bandmates was sent back to look for him.
He waited as the sound of footsteps faded away then grabbed you by your waist and pressed you once again against the wall.
His mouth was so close to your ear you could feel his lips moving, causing you to get wet again.
"What about round two tonight love?" He told you in a hot whisper.
You shuddered as one of his hands grabbed a handful of your ass and then slipped something in the back pocket of your jeans.
"I'll be very happy to see you there, but it's your choice, love. Bye" he gave you a peck on your lips and then was out of the door, leaving you there alone and flustered, struggling to process what had just happened.
You tried to catch your breath as you retrieved what he pushed into your pocket.
It was a business card of a nice hotel in the city centre, along with a key card. On the underside of the paper there was something scribbled in elegant handwriting.
I'd love to see the pictures you took tonight. What about a private session? ;)
Room 726.
S.
You absolutely didn't know what to do. When you exited the dark room and made sure nobody saw you, you headed out of the venue, in the warm night, with a tangled mess of thoughts in your mind.

Niall Horan | Live at Wembley Arena, London
Tumblr media
Six long years after his last tour, Niall Horan returns with The Show: Live on Tour and what a spectacle it is.
When Niall Horan released his debut single “This Town” in 2016, fans and critics alike praised his nuanced storytelling and ability to capture his audience with just a strum of a guitar and a gentle croon. Almost a decade since that release, Horan’s artistry hasn’t faltered — he’s gone from strength to strength, crafting a body of work that is both nostalgic and timeless. Now, with his The Show: Live on Tour, named after his acclaimed 2023 album, he’s reminding all of us just how much he is a showman at heart.
Horan played to a completely packed Wembley Arena last week with many camping out hours to secure a spot on the floor. It’s the same feverish, infectious energy that first began over 14 years ago which, much to Horan’s dismay, hasn’t waned at all. Although it’s difficult to untether Horan from his days in One Direction, he spends moments of the show reflecting on the “14 years of memories” he created in and around the arena and London. The Show: Live on Tour began in Belfast a few weeks back. The first show, he ended it with the words, “This is going to be the best year yet.” Just a handful of days later, he is clearly still revelling in the feeling of being back on stage.
Like the ’70s greats before him, Horan is meant to be heard live. Horan thrives and excels when he’s performing and is a true artist’s artist — not just writing songs, but crafting entire worlds around them. “Nice To Meet Ya” might’ve been an obvious choice for an opening song, but with the context that Horan hasn’t toured since 2018 and wasn’t able to perform his incredible sophomore album, Heartbreak Weather, to audiences due to the pandemic. If the album The Show orbits around who Horan is today as a person, a musician, and a songwriter, the tour is, in a way, serving as a reintroduction to who he is as a performer.
The Show: Live on Tour production sees his six-piece band stand atop varying stages, a nod to the old-school variety show performances. Curtains fall and fold together with images projected — sometimes it’s a billboard that reads THE SHOW, other times it’s a moon soaring through the night sky. It’s the little nods to the world of The Show that make it a spectacle.
When a mirrorball drops — a sign that means Horan is about to play a song from his boyband days — fans erupt into screams. Quickly after, the chords of “Stockholm Syndrome” begin to play and new and old fans alike come together to sing. Horan lets us into his mind for a moment, affectionately saying, “I do this for a living,” which he was reflecting upon during the show.
Horan has a knack for making a 12,000+ arena feel as intimate as a 200-cap venue, using songs like “This Town,” “Flicker,” and the delicate ballad “You Could Start a Cult,” a clear fan favourite, to showcase that further. Every quiet, sombre moment is completely contrasted with a stadium-sized roar from fans responding to Horan’s every childlike smirk and high note. Bringing out Canadian singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes for a duet of his hit “Treat You Better,” and one of his first live performances in years, speaks to Horan’s love towards his fellow singer/songwriters.
Teetering between the hits — think “Slow Hands,” “Meltdown” and “Heartbreak Weather” — and the fan faves like “Everywhere,” “Save My Life” and “Mirrors,” Horan keeps the energy high throughout the entire show — a feat for solo acts. Although the setlist was constructed to have a bit of everything, when scrolling Twitter after the gig I read a tweet which talks about how he made the setlist for die-hard fans. It’s true — it’s a collection of songs that demonstrate his growth and grit as an artist, but also were clearly selected with his fans at the forefront of his mind.
As the show comes to a close, Horan’s penultimate song is “Save My Life.” Horan knows the true meaning it holds, but for fans, it speaks to the beauty of a fan and artist relationship and how the latter’s music shapes the former’s lives. Throughout the show, seeing fans holding up fan projects and crying to various songs is a moving thing for Horan to witness. 14 years on and he’s still in awe of the magic he’s been able to make through his work.
For fans who have yet to see Horan live on this tour, he describes it best in The Show‘s title track: Hold tight, get ready for the ride.

Review: Louis Tomlinson rocks Brisbane River Stage with Faith in the Future world tour
Louis Tomlinson ignited the Brisbane River Stage on Tuesday night, blending One Direction nostalgia with his new Indie-Pop hits, at the second Australian show of his Faith in the Future world tour.

Tumblr media
Former One Direction star Louis Tomlinson took Brisbane’s River Stage by storm on Tuesday night, at his second show of three in Australia, as part of the Faith In The Future World Tour.
The 32-year-old singer performed to thousands of screaming and adoring fans, with some wearing their almost vintage-looking Directioner merchandise and others in Louis’ Brisbane tour T-shirts.
Tomlinson first performed in Brisbane with One Direction on their Take Me Home tour in 2013 and on Tuesday established himself as an independent Indie-Pop/Brit Rock artist, “making the music he wants to make”.
As the lights went down the crowd came alive with excitement as the band kicked in to accompany him for The Greatest, the opening track to his 2022 album Faith in the Future.
Tumblr media
Tomlinson charismatically introduced himself to the crowd, not shying away from profanity, as he welcomed the audience to his tour, “It’s f---king hot tonight isn’t it Brisbane, we’re going to have a great time!” Tomlinson said.
“This scale and size of a show like this absolutely blows my f---king mind, I can feel this is going to be a special night,” he said.
The setlist was a perfect blend of his solo hits, fan favourites, and some surprises, showcasing the evolution of his music.
Tomlinson’s vocals were on point as he effortlessly transitioned from powerful anthems to more intimate moments.
The live arrangements brought a new dimension to familiar tracks, making them feel fresh and dynamic.
Throughout the night, it was clear Tomlinson has veered from his prior pop status and has embraced a ‘mod’ and rock feel with his new music, this was confirmed by him including a cover of the Arctic Monkeys' eerie smash hit 505.
Tumblr media
His casual and cheeky northern Brit personality shone through as he sported a black singlet and grey joggers, showing off his iconic tattoos.
He was sure to interact with fans as he wandered around the stage, even taking selfies and posing with his band for a photo in front of the audience.
The relationship between Tomlinson and his fans is noticeably gratuitous and nostalgic, with in tears and others moshing with wide smiles as they danced the night away.
As a major One Direction fan myself – especially during my teenage years, I can appreciate the impact Tomlinson has had on the many young music lovers, who attended his show, during their adolescent years.
Witnessing his fans singing along to every tune, old and new, brought back fond memories of when I saw him perform with One Direction in 2013, seeing the fans who have grown up with his music and the worldwide hype of the band took me back to that night.
Tomlinson’s ability to convey vulnerability and strength resonated with fans, creating an intimate atmosphere in one of the city’s largest outside venues.
His casual, yet captivating stage presence and soothing vocals memorised the audience throughout the show.
Tomlinson said the goal of his Faith In The Future tour was to create a “great live experience on the next tour”, a goal he certainly fulfilled on Tuesday night.
The concert was a testament to his connection with his fans, leaving them eagerly anticipating what the future holds for his music.

transcript for the marina toybina interview
if you haven’t seen it already, gerard’s costume designer for the us leg of the tour, marina toybina recently did an interview for the john campea show. i saw some people looking for a transcript and i didn’t see that someone already made one so i did one!
here’s the link, the interview starts around 22:06
transcript under cut :)
INT (Robert Meyer Burnett): Well, now you just finished working with My Chemical Romance, which is a band that I dig. Gerard Way, is also a comic book writer and artist, created the Umbrella Academy.
MARINA TOYBINA: Yeah.
INT: So first of all: how did you get that job, because there’s a design, there’s a design—the look of that band and what they like to do and what they’re influenced by, they’re not just your typical rock band. So what was it like, how did you get that job? And you designed the whole tour, right?
M: Um, I collaborated with the lead singer, yes, with Gerard. Um, okay. Everything kind of has its place in time.
M: 15 years ago, 15-20 years ago, I was a huge fan. I am a rock girl at heart. Back then, a lot of their music was like, music to my soul. It got me through some of the harder times, a lot of my friends were musicians, and I-I never saw them live, never could afford tickets to their shows, but knew one day that in my heart, I’m like, there probably will be an opportunity one day. They were like my top five favourite bands and he was just already an artist I’ve always wanted to work with. And, this past summer when I was designing So You Think you Can Dance, I just happened to turn on their music—nope, let me rewind, I’m so sorry.
M: So a year ago, I was reading a release that they’re coming back together on tour and they’re playing LA on my birthday. And I look at my team and I was like, I’m gonna be at that show, we’re gonna go to the show, we’re all gonna go together and I just jokingly said I’m like, “I’ll probably dress them.”
M: And a lot of things in my career have happened to manifestation, like I’m a huge believer in that. And I think my intentions were so clear into the universe and I believed in it so much that that happened a year ago, and then this past summer, I was driving to work, I was listening to their music, and I just happened to text my agent and I’m like, you know I really wanna get back into music. It’s what I used to do, I used to do a lot of live performances, I used to do a lot of music videos. I need to feel that again. Even though I’m surrounded by music all the time, and I’m doing all these shows. But there’s some—there was a disconnect in my career where it’s like, I love live entertainment.
M: And she’s like “Who do you want, like are we going after pop stars?” And I’m like no, I’ve done all that. I want to go back to my roots, like I want Incubus or My Chemical Romance—
INT: Nice!
M: Red Hot Chili Peppers, I’m like, get me back to rock and roll.
M: And she was like, “Well, they’re touring but, let’s just put it out there.”
M: And then, within two weeks I get an email from her and be like “Hey, their managers want to meet with you, he wants to meet with you.” And one of the biggest things about their aesthetic is—probably one of my top 3 costume designers is Colleen Atwood, [and she] did their Black Parade album, and it was so incredible and I, back then, I was always a step behind. It’s like, they did the Black Parade, and then I met the photographer later, then I worked on a project with him. So it was always like, some better late than never I guess. And I’m like, I’m gonna work with him someday, I love her work, I’ve been told by many people we’re a lot alike, you know? And I’m like, why not.
M: And so, we get this email that he would like to take a meeting, see what we can do. And I never expected to do the tour. I just wanted to open this door of opportunity to just collaborate, maybe do one thing together.
M: And he just showed up in my studio, and it was just, an amazing artistic, like-
INT: Were you starstruck? I mean Gerard Way is like, one of your-
M: I was trying to hold it together! I mean, before they came in, I can’t tell you how much I paced. And usually there’s like, 15-20 people at my studio, and this was the time, the day that I was alone, you know. I didn’t know what to do. And of course, my expectations were just to do like, present myself, and see if I would be a good asset to them, or something, because I love their music. I love what he’s about, and it’s also like, it’s not just the frontman for me. I think he’s a brilliant artist.
M: So there were a lot of things, I just wanted our worlds to merge somehow. And within the first five minutes of a conversation, I’m like “Oh, I get his brain.”
M: And I told him my story, I told him that this is like, 20 years in the making, and probably sound like a crazy fan costume designer. We shared ideas, he kind of walked me through the concepts of things he wants to do on this particular tour. They haven’t started doing the US leg of the tour, I didn’t know if they had a designer, and he did mention Colleen was doing something for him. And I was like, okay, how can this-can this be a triangle? [laughs] Can I come in on the picture?
M: It was just a beautiful collaboration. It was like, a genuine artist to artist conversation. Like. “Let’s do something interesting.” He walked me through his concepts, his ideas. And I’m like. alright, let me come up with some creatives, see if we’re on the same page. Again, as much as I wanted to be like, “Hey, we’re doing this tomorrow.” I also felt like it’s important, now, in my career and possibly in his, to make sure the relationship is good, you know? Like this is the right artistic match to one another. And it worked.
M: From there it was just like, amazing fittings, amazing collaboration, and some iconic things that went viral.
INT: I love hearing this from you, because this is like, the joyous experience when, “Oh my God, I’ve dreamt of working with somebody.” And you finally get to do it.
INT: But I want to take you back to that, because I’m curious. How would that process even begin?
M: Right.
INT: You’re working with somebody that, you already know their music, you already know his vibe. And Colleen Atwood, who I’ve interviewed on the show by the way, she’s incredible. Our interview, she was in the middle of the work day so it was a short interview. But, how does a collaboration like that work with somebody like Gerard Way? How do you guys start working together? How is that process?
M: It was just like, an initial conversation, you know? I introduced myself, my work. They already did some background, kind of checking out to see where I stand, what my aesthetic was like. And I felt like, in a place in my life right now, in my career, I was able to bring something new. And that’s where my confidence, I think, came from. At the same time, I didn’t want to change the artist that’s in front of me. I think that’s always so important when working with music. You’re dealing with a fanbase and a reputation, an aesthetic approach that’s far beyond any artistic reach of anybody coming in.
INT: Right.
M: So for me it was, you know. Having a conversation, understanding what characters he wanted to bring forward. This was a very playful tour. This wasn’t about dressing up the whole band. This was about him being in this world of iconic characters and, how can we bring this to life, and what can we do that’s very recognizable to his fans, at the same time, a little bit of a shock value, you know.
M: But at the same time, I wanted him to be him. And he was in this beautiful place in his life and career right now, where he felt great, felt confident, and I just wanted to uplift that. We went through the creative decks, went through the conversations, which characters we wanted to go with. These are the shows that he had, I knew which city we kind of wanted to play off, like where was the right time, like Halloween was right around the corner, what do we do.
M: So it was like, very strategic conversations, but at the same time, room to play and be creative. So I had just gathered the top 10 characters that we had discussed, and kind of started doing my own thing, and keeping him and the music in mind, and had an amazing fitting.
M: And I’ve never worked with an artist that’s so clear. Not just like, directional and very precise and very distinct on his own style, but it was just even clear for me when we were doing fittings that this is somebody that knows his body. This is somebody who knows his aesthetic on stage. This is somebody that knows how they’re going to perform. It just made it so much easier for me to be able to fall into his world. And do the fittings to where: Is this going to come off, is this piece staying on, are we going to do options, you know, is the character going to evolve on stage, is the character going to come down on stage. All those conversations happen in our fittings and then I just packed it all up with distinct notes, and sent them off, and then kept checking in making sure everything was okay, and yeah.
INT: So would you, when you had a direction for the characters, were you doing sketches first?
M: No, not at all! This was something that I kind of felt like, needed to have the research? It wasn’t just about designing something on paper.
INT: Right, okay.
M: When he mentioned to me, “I want to be a vintage cheerleader.” I’m like, okay what era are we in? 50s, 60s, 70s, you know, 40s? And then he was like, “Find me something that’s within, possibly, this color scheme.”
INT: Okay.
M: And for me it was like, the image that went viral when he did wear the cheer uniform. It was probably like 10 different vintage stores that we went to. And I’m like, okay everything’s size zero, or like, what am I gonna do, you know? This stuff doesn’t exist anymore, if I get it from Etsy it’s not gonna come in on time. There was so much.
M: And it happened to be as we were leaving one of the stores I look on the sale rack. And I find this damaged, weird, like, vintage cheer dress that had no zipper, that had no hem, and I was like. I love this.
M: I love this because I can reconstruct it, I can go and get the fabrics we need to still keep it original and authentic. And that’s how we start working. I build out a dress size, I had a mannequin his size at my studio. Put it on, we reshaped it, took the whole thing apart, reconstructed it to be his measurements, and still kept it authentic.
M: And after he wore it, the pattern I think for the actual thing was sold out.
INT: Wow.
M: His fans loved it so much that we were getting notifications that people actually found the original pattern of this 1940s uniform and were buying it out.
INT: That’s crazy!
M: Oh it’s amazing. I think, to me, it’s like that’s when things are just meant to be. Not only did my work translate into something beautiful on stage, but then he becomes this incredible persona on stage that then delivers the character and plays it off. We did that throughout every single look, every single look went like, became a fan favourite, or crazy yeah.
INT: in terms of time, what was the process when you first got the gig and then to the first show that was performed using your work? What was the time-frame?
M: I think I had about a month to get it all together.
INT: Wow, so that’s not much.
M: At the same time, I had another huge project in the works. So it was going back in forth, but. I could not tell you, like, I’ve had difficult projects in the past. And I’ve had difficult times with artists, you know, finding our own language, how to execute some things. This was so easy, that time didn’t matter to me.
M: It was such a great collaboration and so it flowed, like Bruce Lee would say, like water. It just made sense. No matter how difficult my other project was, or what was going on at the same time, it was like, the universe showing me: this is how it’s supposed to be. This is what’s inspiring me.
M: And at the end of the day, the one thing I told Gerard, “You made me fall in love with music again. You came into my life as an artist that I’ve admired and wanted to work with for almost 20 years.” And there was a big part of my beginning, that just made me look back at this now and be like oh. That was that feeling that I had when I was 16, 20.
INT: Well that’s amazing. Congratulations on that.
M: Thank you.
INT: What an exciting project! That you did so quickly.
M: Yeah, it was amazing.

can you tell me everything you know about rova (jonah's old band), please??
(MY ANSWER GOT LOST BECAUSE THE TUMBLR IS TUMBLR AND I HAD TO WRITE IT ONCE AGAIN 😭)
hi anon-poppy 🩷 thank you for sending this 🩷
you want to know more about rova the band? ok, so let’s back to early 2010s, the prime time of tumblr dot com (ekhm…), the beginning of instagram and the rule of influencers and, also the glory days of soundcloud and its little indie artists. i want to stick a bit to the latter ones cause that’s the core part of your question. Rova the band, consisted of members Jonah Hauer-King, Rufus Gibbs, Tom Gould and Fergus Burnand, was one of many rock alternative/indie bands who were inspired/amazed by arctic monkeys, bombay bicycle club, suede, radiohead or jeff buckley, BUT! it has one distinguish feature other than others! Tall, skinny, curly-haired boy with bright eyes and adorable dimples who happened to be also the singer and the front man of the group! They not only played covers (another prominent mark of 2010s and start of many careers on youtube channels!) but also their own songs! They even released EP Strings in October 2012, which is still available to listen for free on soundcloud, and consists of tracks: Measured Motion (my personal faveee!), Mama Save Me, and album titled song - Strings. The band was named after the Turkish poet, and also frontman’s first soft toy, as they reported in the interview. (awwwww, Jonaaaaah! 😂☺️ mkay mkaaay back to my essay!) They played many gigs around North London and also Paris in 2011-2012, many videos of them performing are available on youtube, which I highly recommend to watch. Unfortunately, for reasons unknown, at least for me, the band didn’t last long. After all, Jonah pursued the dream of being an actor, which he successfully achieved! ✨ And, as we know, his music talent did not go to waste as he used it in The Little Mermaid, Postcards from London, RENT the musical (RIP ME, forever haunted by this, please someone send me the footage and end my suffering!!!!), World on Fire (a little bit but still?), or even the mockery of singing in Old Boys (Winch, you will be famous forever!) Once again, I highly recommend to check their songs, and leave you with my favourite one!

Tag Game
I was tagged by @randomfoggytiger. Thanks for thinking about me!
Favourite painter: Oh, this is a tough one. I'm drawn to works from artists like Monet, Botticelli, Andrew Wyeth, Mucha, Van Gogh, Michelangelo. I'm all over the place. I'm not even going to try to list fandom artists. There are too many and I don't want to risk leaving anyone out.
Favourite writer: Again, more than one. Just off the top of my head: Stephen King, Justin Cronin, Chuck Windig, George R.R. Martin, Gillian Flynn. Generally writers who are really good at creating memorable characters who straddle the line dividing good and evil. As George put it so eloquently, stories that explore the human heart in conflict with itself. Bowing out on fanfic writers here, too. There are too many to list.
Favourite band: Now and for the last decade, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit.
Favourite meal and drink: At this point in my life any food that anyone other than me cooks and sets in front of me. But I do enjoy farm to table that's not too fussy or complicated. Keep it simple and clean and flavorful. Add a glass of semi-dry wine and I'm good to go.
Favourite outfit aesthetic: I don't know that I have one. If I must be pinned down I'll go with boho/hippie. There's nothing I love more than simple blue jeans or leggings with a t-shirt or flowy blouse. But I refuse to wear dresses unless it's a wedding or a funeral. I don't have legs one would want to show off. Genetics gifted me with, as my mom once put it, "peasant legs". Also the 14 inch scar on my left leg from numerous surgeries isn't very aesthetically pleasing. I prefer to keep it covered.
Favourite singer: Another one I can't cull to just one. Jason Isbell, Van Morrison, Bob Seger, Beth Hart, Amos Lee, Ray LaMontagne, John Mayer, Stevie Nicks, Joy Oladakun. That's just a start. Unique voices, I guess.
Favourite item I own: Well, those of us who have pets are often referred to as pet *owners*, right? So I'll go with Levon the Cat, though I'm pretty sure he owns me and not the other way around.
Favourite possession: My carefully curated fandom items. Mostly my collection of BATB fanzines and TXF memorabilia. All of those, as well as the things I've been bequeathed or were given to me by family members/friends who are no longer with us. Knick-knacks, art and pieces of antique furniture from my mom and oldest brother; an unreleased album of songs written and performed by my bestest friend in the world - all of which were written with me serving as muse. Other things that I don't like to think about too much because it's painful. But all of them cherished.
Favourite perfume: Black Opium. It smells like all my favorite scents combined.
Tagging anyone who'd like to play!
