sharing is caring: spiced chocolate
Bad day or cold or just looking for balanced sweet, this recipe I just made up that is very good needs to be shared
you will need:
-water or milk
-cocoa powder + sugar OR instant hot chocolate
-spices such as cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, and cloves
-salt
-vanilla extract
optional
-butterscotch chips
-marshmallow fluff/topping
So! To make this:
-Boil water or milk in a pot, pan, etc. for every 1 cup/8 oz of water/milk, use 1 packet hot chocolate mix or two tablespoons cocoa powder + two tablespoons sugar.
-whisk until dissolved fully. Lower heat temperature.
-add a pinch of salt and a tiny bit of vanilla extract for each serving (1 cup-ish)
-add spices to taste.
-add more sugar/more cocoa if needed. This is not precise. If too sweet, more salt.
Variations (less sugar for these)
-melt a handful of butterscotch chips into the hot chocolate.
-add marshmallow fluff/topping and whisk until melted in for s’more chocolate.

Also now that my beloved mutual @redactedbutch reached his urgent goal, here is
Nomi's banger Hot Chocolate
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup of milk
2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
1 and a half tablespoon of cornstarch (optional)
Pinch of salt
Drop of vanilla
Measure out your cup of milk and pour it into your mug. Pour some of that milk into a small bowl.
In the small bowl add your cornstarch and mix well. You MUST NOT SKIP THIS STEP unless you want cornstarch clumps in your hot chcoolate
Put the rest of the milk in a small saucepan. Add the rest of your ingredients to said saucepan. Turn saucepan on medium heat and stir until no clumps form. Keep stirring so you don't get burnt cocoa powder on the bottom of the pan
Once it starts smoking, add your cornstarch slurry and STIR!!!! It'll look like nothing is happening, but eventually you will get a slightly thicker hot chocolate. Once heated to your liking, turn the heat off and pour into your mug of choice.
Now you can stop there, but every hot chocolate needs a whipped cream. This does work better if you use a darker cocoa powder (hershey's special dark is great), but regular is still fine.
1/4th cup of heavy whipping cream
1 TEASPOON (not tablespool) of Powdered sugar
Salt and HONEY to taste.
Pour your heavy whipping cream into a bowl and, using a hand mixer or a whisk, beat until soft peaks. Then, add your powdered sugar, salt, and honey and keep beating. That gives you honey Salt whipped cream
Serve this to anyone and they will NEVER do anything to piss you off.
Ivy still needs to get more funds though, so once that goal is reached, I'll post my brownie recipe that was so good my friend told me "if I was not in a committed relationship right now, I would marry you on the spot." After they ate it.

I've failed at "eat meat once a week" reducetarianism but I've been drifting towards "only eat meat I'm excited about", and now I've articulated that explicitly as a direction I think I can go further in it

Blog 1: lol anyone else seeing a lot of strawberries in new recipes now? sometimes its fun but i really dont get the appeal of adding it to everything. why did you make strawberry garlic bread
Blog 2: u kno im not a fan of strawberries, i really like the rich sweet and sour notes from oranges, oranges and chocolate is such a good combo. i altered a recipe for a smoothie with oranges last week and it was soooo good ill give you my notes if you want
Reblogged by: Blog 1: ahaha yesss i love chocolate and oranges
Blog 3: I canNOT believe the hate im seeing to strawberries right now, like, you know guys know the rule don't like don't bake right?? you know you can hit the back button right?? honestly what's wrong with yall
Open draft- wait guys you know there's a difference between leaving a comment on a recipe saying you hate strawberries and the recipe writer should never use them, and going to your own blog to say you don't really like strawberries, without naming any specific people or recipes right? you know there's a difference right?? - Save - Post - Discard
Draft discarded
Blog 4: why is everyone jumping on the strawberry hate train right now. what is wrong with you.
Reblogged by: Blog 5: I knowwww like guys some people stop baking because of reading things like that, please stop it, if you don't like strawberries you can be quiet about it
Open draft- im so sorry if anyone's getting sent mean messages or comments about what they're writing and baking, but i'm literally not seeing any of that and if you are, please use the block button. but someone making a post on their own blog is not that, and if you can't see the irony in you being allowed to complain on personal blogs but not them i can't help you... - save- post- discard
Draft discarded
Blog 2: are strawberries even in season?

Hello
This is kind of a longshot, but this is the biggest platform I have.
A friend of mine and their father are about $600 short for their rent for next month. They are both disabled and will almost certainly be homeless is they cannot make rent.
If you have money to spare, their cshapp/vnmo is WokeFatti and their ppal is jdocstudios
Thank you for looking

I have to say the judging table camera during RFD sold me on the short haircut more than before
He needed a shirt that looked good on him too. The white doesn’t help anything and once he got the darker color he looked so good. Also the fact that it was just him at the table and we were able to see how it looked up close was nice too.

You offer me grandma recipe?! Yes please!! Cookies are the one thing I can consistently bake well lol
Pumpkin Cookies
Ingredients:
1.
1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening
2.
2 eggs, well beaten
1 large can (2c./15 oz) pumpkin
1¼ tsp. soda
3.
4 c. flour, sifted
2 Tbsp. baking powder
½ tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. allspice
¼ tsp. cloves
4.
2 c. raisins or white chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts (optional) (granny says not to use them)
2 tsp. vanilla (Mexican vanilla is always preferred)
5.
Cinnamon + sugar to sprinkle
Instructions:
Cream together sugar and shortening.
Add eggs. pumpkin, and soda (mixed together first).
Mix in rest of ingredients
(except vanilla extract and raisins/chips, add those once everything else is throughly mixed).
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with a sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Bake at 375° in oven for 10 minutes.
Yield: 9 dozen cookies!
This is one of my favorite recipes! I love pumpkin cookies very much! I think I prefer raisins, but those aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, so sometimes we make them with white chocolate chips.
