If I told you that Regulus’s design was inspired by shaggy old English sheepdogs would you believe me—

"Sansa = Ned 2.0 and Arya = Catelyn 2.0" is one of those takes where you can just tell people are more attached to the aesthetic than anything. "The Stark girls are most like the parent they look least like" sounds good on paper and people run with the idea, regardless of how it actually fits into the story. A majority of the justification relies on misinterpreting all of their characters + a healthy dose of fanon. What gets me is that this is the same fandom that insists that Lyanna, only compared to Arya in the text, is equal parts Arya and Sansa but Ned and Catelyn, two fully fleshed-out and complex characters, have to be more like one girl or the other? There's just nothing in the story to justify being so adamant about these comparisons. Arya and Sansa have parallels with both of their parents but at the end of the day, they are unique characters with their own stories. I'll never understand why people want to flatten these complex characters down to their most basic tropes and fit them into restrictive boxes just for a "poetical~" comparison.

i love adsomblr for many reasons, one of which being the fact that i could make a post saying something like 'holland vosijk is truly the man of all time, i want to see him sopping wet and shivering and crying from the weight of his crimes' and the same group of four or five tumblr users would immediately find it and reblog it with tags like "he is my tragic little meow meow and i want to pat him on the head' and 'op you are so real for this'. you people get me like nobody else

I feel like everyone on both sides blew Reylo way out of proportion. It's literally the most basic inoffensive Baby's First Enemies To Lovers™ ship. The reason there's like three billion published novels that started life as Reylo is because it's so by the numbers that it can be easily adapted to any ETL/RTL AU you can possibly think of.

And honestly I think as a collective the haters were way more unhinged than the fans because everyone acts like their ship is god's gift to romance, you come to expect that, but the way the anti-Reylo crowd at the peak of the sequel trilogy would have had you believe it was the most toxic and problematic ship ever? This? I've seen more moral complexity in Steven Universe.

OUGHHH i hate when people misinterpret my favorite characters LIKE!! Junkrat is so. Punk. He is so. Grunge. He’s dirty and grimy and paints his fingernails and toenails black and he made his own prosthetics and he wears eyeliner that probably isnt even actually eyeliner!! He kills millionaires and wears spikes and actively hates authority!! He is soooo like. Ancom!! He steals and kills and fights dirty and makes his own bombs!! Im not saying that people write/draw him too goody or whatever, but i am saying that he isnt being drawn/written/made like this enough!! Embrace his filth!! Give into the demons!! Same thing with Roadhog like. Hes so ancom and hes punk and hes metal and he’s grungy and he’s soo!! Give into the voices and make them emo!!

sasuke fans: Itachi, team 7, Konoha are bad influence on sasuke and all are toxic. Sasuke deserves better. Team Taka is his only true friend group bc they supported him in everything

meanwhile sasuke: uses Taka for his own good. Deserts Suigetsu & Juugo despite promising "I will be your cage" and leaves them both to die where they came to support HIM? he almost kills Karin. Asks Sakura to KILL Karin instead of HEALING her despite knowing she's a medic nin?? Then leaves Taka with their abuser aka orochimaru
