Like.... sure actual talented artists may be behind their designs. But Fortnite is the most "Profit-first" videogame experience ever and just reeks of Bad Vibes from how it perpetuated the Battle Pass, Rotating Window Shop, and other FOMO-Focused garbage, to how blatantly Target-Demographic-Focused its cosmetics are, and always have been, with nary a hint of artistic pride or creativity behind them.

I recommend watching this 👆 video to get a good idea of how disgusting everything about Fortnite is and has been, once you pull away the Thin Veneer of a Live-Service Product.
There is nary a creative leaf in the Barren, Desert Wasteland that is Epic's Live Service Media Franchise Fortnite: Battle Royale, and the way it has somehow seemed to grab a small but vocal minority of Furry culture, and pretty intentionally dress up its pure Profit-driven Business Model into a sort of facsimile of a parasocial relationship via the Meow Skulls character disappoints me.
Also, separating myself from all of the above Radicalization and "Fuck Capitalism and Fuck Products" rhetoric - I think both Meow skulls characters are ugly and boring. A 5 year old's drawing of any cat has more personality, appeal, and charm than either of those characters.

so, I see plenty of posts talking about using words like faggot and tranny and other reclaimed words, then getting into arguments with young, sub-21 people about the use of them. and like, I def get it, it's annoying as hell having someone try and dictate what you can and cannot say or do in your personal life, but then I see people get REAL aggressive and exclusionary towards those young people. and like, you gotta look at it from their perspective
and I'm going to lump anyone under the age of 21 as minor because like, if you can't go to a bar to get real life queer experience how tf are you supposed to learn
most minor queers are coming from a non-queer background. best case scenario they have a supportive family and some queer friends at school. but, these are not queer life experiences. schools have so many rules in place to stifle queer kids from being able to express themselves, and some even have rules that allow peers and faculty to actively discriminate against queer kids. it's hard, even in a more progressive school, to get real life queer experiences that aren't watered down to be more palatable for cishet peers
social media is even worse. you're not even allowed to say cis on twitter anymore, using things like faggot or tranny or dyke isn't allowed on facebook or instagram even if you're in your own community in these spaces. and these are the places most minors are getting any kind of social experiences in their lives. they are constantly being told that there's "good" and "bad" queers, that you do t want to be cringe, or otherwise unpalatable to the cishet people in these spaces. if a minor is constantly told that certain words are bad, and people who use these words are bad, of course they're going to think they're defending queers by attacking people who use these words
I came out as trans three years ago. I used facebook for my social media at first. and in trying to find community on that site, the best I got was a couple of trans lesbian groups. since rejoining tumblr, I've discovered I'm a puppygirl, a furry, a bratty bottom. I'm clicker trained, into omegaverse, poly and a faggot tranny. and that's entirely due to the comparatively minimal queer censorship on this site (and even this site censors queer stuff way too much, just not as aggressively as other social media sites)
so like, if a minor stumbles across your blog and seems horrified, that's likely because they've been exclusively exposed to cishet palatable queerness, and not real life queers. rather than arguing with them and demeaning them, we should attempt to educate them. and like, of course there's gonna be annoying ones who don't want to learn, and that's on them, but we should be more welcoming and understanding of minors who probably have never interacted with a deep-queer rather than a palatable one

hello friends!!! i'm in the process of putting together pals for DEAD OR ALIVE, which is going to be a digital zine featuring wanted posters of ocs!!! design a wanted poster for whichever oc brings you joy and/or is a nasty terrible criminal, and we're going to compile them all into a digital zine free to download!
despite being free, the zine will be posted with a suggested donation link encouraging folks who enjoy it to donate to The Bail Project, which posts bail for low-income folks while also fighting against the structure of the u.s.'s "justice" system. we're hoping to have small digital merch options in exchange for donations, too.
the zine will be completely digital, but with an option for contributors to get a physical zine at the end at-cost—we'll manufacture some books and everyone who wants one will split the cost of doing so evenly, and you'll pay shipping from massachusetts in the u.s.. the books probably won't be more than like $10 a pop if EVEN, but shipping can get PRICEY internationally, so keep that in mind!!

I don’t really think I need to explain myself here. But in case I do, there are two main things I find remarkably attractive about Micheal (that I can adequately articulate): its voice and its hands.
Let’s start with his voice. Micheal’s voice is static-y and warping and always slightly amused. Now THAT is the kind of voice I’d want whispering sweet nothings in my ear. And that’s without even mentioning his laugh — god, can you even IMAGINE what his moans would sound like? Perfection.
Then there’s his hands. You can’t really see it in the first picture, so here’s another one.

She’s a werewolf, which maybe puts her more into ‘furry’ territory rather than ‘monsterfucker’, but we ball.
Firstly, while Yaretzi is an undeniably sweet person, she’s also fairly terrifying. And ‘women who could kill me’ are fairly high on my list of attractions. Secondly, her voice (again, I know, but most of the media I consume are podcasts so deal, I guess). It’s just the right shade of deep and soft. Amazing.
Also I want her to bite me.
There are more examples, but we’ll be here forever if I try listing them, so I’ll leave it there. I could go into detail about the deeper meaning behind my attraction to these beautiful beasties, but I’m going to see how the masses respond to this first. Besides, this has been in my drafts for entirely too long and I just want to post it at this stage.

I don't want to keep posting about drama but I still get DMs and asks about this stuff weekly on Twitter. Even though half the callout accounts have disappeared. Idk how it keeps spreading.
• I am not a zoophile. Thats sick and disgusting. People claim that I am because I “defend” furry nsfw art created by consenting human adults. I do not believe that nsfw furry art is zoophilia.
• I am not a pedo. My character Acid is NOT a minor. She is MY AGE. 28. She ages with me. The old ref that says she is 17 was made over a decade ago!!! I uploaded it to Toyhouse in 2021 because I wanted to compile all the artwork I made of her over the years. I do not have proof of this because I don't keep WIPS for 10+ years. It has since been deleted and I apologized.
• I don't know what “pro ship” means. Nobody has given me a clear definition yet. I do not care about fandom shipping. I don't write fanfiction.
• I am not friends with peacewolf. I have never spoken to them in my life. The only association I can think of is that we both used Flipnote as an art program like 10 years ago. Same with any other Flipnote creators.
• I do not have a problem with DID systems at all. Someone made a literal duplicate of my account on TikTok (and Amino apparently) and claimed that I was ablest against “multiple personality disorder” for telling them not to impersonate me. They were a troll, they didn't even use the right terminology. Their account got banned immediately and I didn't have time to get screenshots of what they were actually doing. I also apologized for tweeting about it without context.

So fun fact twitter hates this fandom and everything it stands for, I'm not kidding when I say the amount of people I saw calling the fandom, toxic, racist, misgontic and ableist is interesting to say the least.
So of course when the SulhasSpace issue happened some people ran with it as proof that the fandom is the problem. Now I've show you guys an racist account before in the last account of interest (burnbook Qsmp) So I'm not here to pretend it's not a problem, it absolutely is.
So yes I get where these are coming from to some degree but Twitter doesn't forgive or forget, and there's of course the fact that not ever "fan" is actually a fan.
That being said they are two sides to Qsmp twitter right now,
1)Chill fun time, drawing your faves.
2)your faves are problematic and if you don't push for them to be kick out your a terrible person.
A common discussion I see on the twitter is often, "oh you're defending your faves, you call out any creator but your faves" completely ingoring the fact that most the stuff their holding said faves accountable for are ages old.
They call us parasocial but then make post after post advocating for members to be removed from the SMP, it's making rounds, so I want to clear any misinformation on Twitter and make it clear when creators apologize.
I bring you back to this tweet (please don't even interact with this person Thank you.)
You might remember them from the bonus section, this was posted jan 5 2024 with 1.3K likes (Jesus) so allow me to clear the air on some accusations.
In the reply of this they link a thread stating all problematic behaviors of creators, however MAJORITY of the this thread is just attacking the fan base I'm not even kidding.
Here's the thing, the bad apples aren't the fandom, it was this same behavior that had people attack dsmp fans.
Say what you want about Dream but you can acknowledge the dsmp fandom got so much hate for simply existing because a few of them were bad.
Because as someone who's been in both, and left both oddly who was previously a full on dream Stan and just sorta grew out of him. People hated us just for liking the dsmp.
They attacked minors in cosplay called us fatherless and cringe (and like yeah but still) overall make fun of Nurodiverst kids for having hyperfixations, and their justification was we're all terrible people.
Here's my thing, you don't actually care, you don't care about the alleged victims or the people who's lives are at risk; You want to make the fandom look bad.
You could have easily said "A person on twitter told another they hope the us gets bomb" and yeah I understand it was in the context of the Qsmp but people are not their interset, don't water people down to the things they like, then you're just making stereotypes.
How is it any different than saying, "a kpop stan did this, a furry did that,"
Also while I'm on this compersion of both I've noticed a constant conflict in regards to the Forever situation vs Dream situation with the parties on either side the other cc is guilty but theirs isn't.
I noticed this as soon as the accusations dropped actually a lot of people even here on Tumblr, where saying "this is what we deserved" and at "least dream didn't actually do it"
Tô be honest I noticed the fandom was at odds before that even, they were sudden talk here on Tumblr which means the topic likely came from Twitter of the dsmp compered to the Qsmp.
And I'll be honest dsmp was getting dragged, I read these thinking, 'why are we comparing them, they're clearly different with their own stories.' I still wonder that.
I don't want to fight with dream SMP fans, I use to be one of you , I had a freaking fan fic plan that was just c:! ranboo getting teleported into the Qsmp.
Why don't have to fight, but I guess with dream being unlikable, that makes things very hard.

Ok no, to both of these.
1) she was not the only woman on the server, Jaiden joined the server at the very beginning, so unless I miss an noticed that Jaiden actually used macs pronounces that's a fuckin lie.
You can see Jaiden right there behind Foolish, on the very first day. This isn't hard to confirm, it doesn't even take a second.
I read the tweet and immediately went, nah that's not true I remember Jaiden, And what do you know Jaiden was in fact a member at that time.

2) she was not the only one being harassed, in fact they literally contradict their own statement with proof bad was receiving hate at the same time
Political lore, as in election season? I mean it must be I can't think of another political Qsmp event that bad was involved it huh crazy but If thats the case then Baghera wasn't the only one receiving hate thats... that's crazy, you're crazy.
Non of the tweets that screenshot are misogynistic, it's just people who believe the dream accusations criticing her attendance to his concert.
Also let me be clear real quick, I am AFAB in fact tmi I haven't even gotten on T, it's difficult to here and I'm afraid of getting hate crimed.
So I understand misgony, I live it, this is not what this is; Criticizing a woman isn't inherently misgony.
When you guys said "Qsmp had a misgony problem," is that what you guys meant, a woman gets hate and it's automatically misgony and not a section of the fandom being toxic..? Ok

Dear lord, the entire call-out situation is ridiculous.
Obviously, I can definitely understand people not being comfortable with some stuff you are into and some of your ships, but calling you a zoo and a pedo for all of that is straight up ridiculous, if not downright deranged. Like, those are actual serious crimes and yet some people throw them around like they are nothing. When they show us receipts of you pulling a Raph and talking to minors inappropriately or abusing your pets, THEN we can talk about you being a scumbag.
I know this sounds a lot like 'Viv critics are just jealous homophobes' excuse, but this situation just seems like a campaign to silence Viv's most well-known critic with a LOT of dirt on her, if your screenshot is to be believed. It's not like you tried to sweep any of the info in those screenshots under the rug too, so acting like they are some big revelation is funny in a mildly annoying way.
Dear God, even if this situation is bad for you, I hope this at least brings attention to how scummy many of Viv's associates are. Because I'm very sick of them and Viv getting away with their shit, because their main critic is a furry who likes dragons.

Hey, one way to look at it is that it shakes out all the people who are here under the impression that the worst thing Vivzie's ever done is ship a talking cheetah with a woman once. There are spaces they can go to for that kind of thing, but they're not gonna find it here. We're here to bitch about the show and have fun venting, sure, but at the end of the day, it's Viv's transphobia and workplace abuse that matter.
And besides all that, facts are facts regardless. Viv was a shitty, toxic person long before I started talking about her and probably will be no matter what I say or do.

If anything, one of the things I'm most resentful of booktube and (predominately YA) book twitter for is the resistance more people have towards getting beta readers, specifically sensitivity readers, because more and more writers associate it with them and their lynch mobs/quest for moral purity in written art. Getting sensitivity readers is normal, always has been because they're essentially a kind of beta reader. It doesn't even need to be about specific cultural or sexual minorities. A sensitivity reader is, in general a good idea. If you're writing something about ancient husbandry, a beta reader could help you fine tune what historically accurate details to include, exclude, or omit to ensure you don't write about horses as though they're just furry vehicles who don't even need water or maintenance. A sensitivity reader could help you understand historically relevant information about how different cultures treated and handled their horses and how other groups projected racist ideas about a people based on mundane things, like habits in husbandry. If you're writing a xianxia story based on the War of the Heavenly Horses, for example, a beta reader could help you with customary garbs of different regions of China, how they wore their hair, etc. A sensitivity reader could help you with understanding how the practice of Chinese men having long hair came with a, frankly racist and misogynistic, notion of femininity. Both readings can help you with depicting or omitting period-typical racism. Now when I encounter writers with transgressive themes in their works who are opposed to sensitivity readers on principle, I can't even get upset with them because I know where their ideas come from. Hell, if my only exposure to the idea of sensitivity readers was through booktube and booktwitter, I'd be opposed to them, too.

Not to keep talking abt it bc ultimately Im not comfortable following him now that I know wolfertinger666 was puppychan previously but I'm also not keen on some of the tumblr discussion points of like. He drew suggestive furries with big boobs and everyone who enjoys this is just pornbrained every kid who saw this is going to become just like him. Like kids are going to explore this stuff regardless I dont think it's fair at all to blame an at the time kid for doing it too, especially when he'd be the one made the most vulnerable for it by doing it in public.
The bigger problem was the concerningly thin boundaries between him, overt nsfw art and minors once he was an adult, and the racist account / character he played as. Refusing to address those things, probably more stuff ect. I was kind of around on twitter for this time period but the critiscms always seemed to ping between genuine harmful behavior and then ppl being like I hate your horny furry art that doesn't even look good what a waste of talent and it's frustrating seeing it parroted here too. Like that can't be the point that can't be the biggest issue with this person you have to be clear.
#also going i always knew he had puppychan vibes isnt helpful either 😭#anyway. guy who's stressed by internet discoursing also feels the need to comment on this. crazy
