if we're talking specifically about their queerness then sunny - his sister isn't queer for what he knows and he's been pressured through the church and religion as a whole to be straight too. and he's a bit shy and insecure about himself so he can't really be """confident""" in his potential queerness either. he's the type to go "oh if this outside force wants me to be straight then I will be straight" and doesn't really fight it until he meets attractive guys, in which then he's in crisis LOL. out of any of them he'd emphasize not dating a guy bc he's a guy but in a more self-conscious way than, say, kel. so he goes to the confessional like 7 times a week to repent for his bisexuality and it literally never works. but he'll figure it out
if we're talking about romance and relationships as a whole then aubrey - she's like the biggest secret nerd in the group, the most """pure""" in values despite her appearance and demeanor. she's probably less worried about her queerness though and more just awkward about taking next steps in relationships. hence why she's so indirect and messy with her feelings for sunny, who is a guy. like she doesn't really have much to worry about there and yet ... lol
kel has to get over his denial but it's less dramatic for him bc honestly a lot of things aren't super dramatic with kel. he's on the DL for a good while though bc of his status at school and how he's surrounded by straight-masculinity-obsessed basketball dudes
basil has accepted that he's gay since he was like 11. he's not insecure about it at all but doesn't really parade it around as he is in a catholic school and also gets bullied semi-regularly for "looking and acting gay"

Mme. Moncin is a gem of a part‚ tho im sorry to say that in adapting a novel to fit 50 mins‚ the part is somewhat reduced#Jac is great of course‚ all cigarettes and powder‚ airs of superiority and condescending smiles#and that's a young Aubrey Woods‚ the candyman himself (Wonka not DW) as her husband#i will say that the novel is tricky to adapt without falling from a specific inquiry into the relationships one man has with women into#something more generic and thus tinged with misogyny... this adaptation is... only partially successful. just something to bear in mind for#any prospective viewers

She doesnt excel particularly at anything but just to name a few skills and hobbies she plays guitar, saxophone, crochet, swimming, gardening, tennis, drawing, poetry, baking, basket weaving, morse code - she'd be a great circus performer LMAO. Idk if id call it small but the thing she's most proud of would probably be magic tricks! She can do a few of the more simple card tricks which definitely gets her more attention than some of the other things on the list. if theres a hobby she hasnt touched yet you can be sure she'll get her mitts on it soon to continue to try to make up for her lack of self-worth.
