I have this great amount of respect and affection for massive fan projects.
Like I wander through TVTropes sometimes and there are these musical projects for some video games and pieces of media. Like there's an Ace Attourney musical (not talking about Random Encounters talking about something else), there's a Portal 2 musical, there is some Game of Thrones fan work titled Westeros, I don't remember how I learned about it but some group of people is working on an opera about Majora's Mask. I think there's a fanmade Pokemon theater thing but I might just be thinking about Pokemon Live. I have not listened to any of these but I have so much love in my heart that they exist.
Fan music in general is something worth so much. If it's original you have someone who cares about something enough to create lyrics and music and share it with the world and even parodies have the love put into finding something that matches the lyrics enough to fit in the original timing and sometimes people make new instrumentals to work with.
Anyway where the fuck is the Transformers fan music
#it didnt fit with the end line of 'transformers music pls' but i also have this huge amount of respect and awe for like#those massive fucking mod projects in the elder scrolls games#the tamriel rebuilt and other similar mod projects for morrowind making the entirety of tamriel#morroblivion that recreated morrowind in the oblivion engine and can be played right now#skywind and skyblivion the in-progress projects working to recreate morrowind and oblivion in skyrim's engine#skygerfall the mod that makes the main quest of daggerfall in skyrim#and most awe-inspiring of them all: beyond skyrim. a massive project collection working to make every single province in skyrim#all with new stories to fit in the period of skyrim and i think there will be voice acting#also VERY honorable mention to fan animatics that's good shit#especially fan animatics using musical songs with characters from a different piece of media#idw starscream candy store animatic my beloved#this is an open invitation send me your favorite fan projects i might not watch/listen/etc all of them but i will marvel at them and be joy#on the transformers point i know of like. two fan music things. this one almost 10 year old song that is technically nice#but i dont like the phrasing used for jazz and am petty upset over soundwave#and the transformers roll out album some people made together and that one has good music dont get me wrong#i just want more#being a minecraft and fnaf fangirl in the past fucking spoiled me im used to lots of music

The Leclerc Family in the Paddock

The sun beat down on the paddock as the sound of the engines filled the air. It was race day and the F1 teams had arrived at the circuit nestled in the hills. Among the drivers preparing for the Grand Prix, Charles stood out not only for his racing talent but also for the presence of two special people at his side.
Y/N, Charles's long-time girlfriend, walked hand in hand with him through the paddock. The couple had recently become parents to a beautiful baby girl and today was the first time they had taken her on a race. Wrapped comfortably in a Ferrari red baby blanket (Charles' request), little Emma Jules Leclerc was a little bundle of joy in her parents' arms.
When Charles and Y/N approached the Scuderia Ferrari garage, the media took notice. Microphones and cameras swarmed around them, eager to capture the family moment. Charles, with a huge smile, introduced Emma to the world.
"We're very excited to have Emma here with us today," Charles said, his eyes shining with pride. "It's a special day for our family, and we wanted to share it with everyone who has supported us."
Y/N added, "She's already a little racing fan, just like her dad. Maybe one day, she'll be in the driver's seat too."
The interviewers couldn't help but coo over the adorable family scene. After the initial baby talk, the conversation shifted to the race ahead. Charles Leclerc, focused and determined, was about to embark on a quest for victory.
Fast forward to the end of the Monaco Grand Prix and Charles emerged triumphant. Ferrari flags flew in the air and the team celebrated a well deserved victory. When Charles got out of his car, interviewers were ready to capture his thoughts about the career and the journey he had undertaken.
However, before delving into the race details, the interviewers couldn't resist asking about the significance of having his family present.
"It's an amazing feeling to win with Emma and my future wife, Y/N, here at my home race," Charles said, his eyes reflecting exhaustion and elation. "They are my biggest fans and having them in the paddock today made the victory even sweeter."
''¿Wife to be?'' the interviewers asked in surprise.
''Yes, we're getting married'' Charles said as he looked at you with love in his eyes.
Interviewers couldn't help but marvel at the couple's ability to balance the demands of a high-profile career with the joys of parenthood and, now, marriage.
Y/N, standing next to Charles, shared her perspective. "Charles is not only a phenomenal driver; he is an incredible partner and now a loving father. We are on this journey together, supporting each other every step of the way."
The interviewers, moved by the genuine connection between Charles and Y/N, congratulated them not only on the race victory and the beautiful family they were building, but also on the upcoming wedding.

The Day the Music Died
I’m sorry that this is gonna be so angsty, but I used to be in the marvel fandom where the reader died all the time and I love this trend on tiktok so
Summary: The Grid has to say goodbye to their favorite girl
2023 F1 Grid x young!fem!reader
(For the sake of this story, reader is Aston Martin driver alongside Fernando, and Lance is the reserved driver, she can also be American if you want to really fit the song)
It was your favorite kind of race, a few hours away from midnight, and it was pouring rain, meaning the race was going to be more unpredictable and chaotic than usual.
You’ve always loved the rain and the extra risk factor it bought to Formula 1, so when your engineer told you the conditions were going to stay the same for the race, a bright smile took over your face, brighter than your usual one.
Your smile was one of your trademarks on the grid, often being compared to Daniel Ricciardo on the matter. Despite the age gap, you and the Australian were quite close and were like walking rays of sunshine when the two of you were together.
You were closest with the other young drivers the most though, Lando, George, Zhou, Yuki, and your teammate Lance being your closest companions.
You describe the grid as being like in a family, your teammate Fernando was like your grid dad, always looking out for you and defending you when the media felt a little extra vicious. The older men on the grid like uncles, looking out for you but letting you have your fun.
Drivers like Carlos, Charles, Pierre, Max, Esteban, and Alex were like cousins, you messed around with each other but always looking out for the other. Reporters called you “the glue” saying that your youthful spirit had helped bond the drivers as more than just competition.
So it made sense that a lot of drivers were worried when your car went into the barriers during the race.
Sunday started off fine, you had a goodnight sleep, hung out with your PR officer for breakfast and walked into the paddock with a smile on your face.
You greeted other drivers and the co-workers you knew as you worked your way to your garage and into your drivers room, changed into your drivers suit and reviewed your strategy with a few engineers before you had to head into the garage to get into your car.
“Radio check Y/n, radio check” Your engineer came over the radio. “Loud and clear” You replied, the adrenaline and excitement already kicking in as you were given the go-ahead to head onto the track for the formation lap. The mist from the cars around you and your soaked visor limited your vision, but you managed to find your way to your spot on the track. You were starting P5 today and were already anxious to start the race.
The flag was waved, the five red lights came on and off before all 20 cars were accelerating down the track, trying to gain positions early. You held on to P5 throughout the race, trying to defend against Carlos Sainz’ Ferrari behind you and trying to overtake Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari in front of you.
It was Lap 25 when you attempted another overtake on Leclerc, speeding down the straight and trying to gain on him before the corner. Right as you were beginning your turn into the corner, your tires locked up and you headed into the barriers, going too fast for your brakes to properly stop the car.
You felt the impact on the right side of your abdomen first, then your head, then your legs. It was like being compressed into a small box then slammed against a cement wall.
What happened? Why aren’t I on the track? Your vision went dizzy as you tried to remember what happened. I must have locked up, but why does my side hurt so bad?
“Oh no! Big crash on Turn 7, I think that was Y/n L/n’s Aston Martin! That looked bad, might be a red flag if L/n doesn’t show responsiveness” Martin Brundle spoke worriedly, crashes during stormy races were never good.
Just focus on getting out of the car, you told yourself. You wrapped your arms around the halo to try and lift yourself up but the dizziness in your head combined with the immediate pain in your right side made you sit back down. I probably hurt my ribs, you thought. It’s fine, I’ll just wait for the medics.
Brundle was right, the yellow flag was waved first and the cars slowed down, but it soon became clear that the race wasn’t going to continue for a bit. After a few minutes of waiting for you, a red flag was waved and the medical team was sent out.
Black spots danced in your vision as you tried to look around for the marshals. You expected your vision to clear up after a second, but it never did. Your world just became fuzzier and darker.
You started hearing sirens of an ambulance approaching, but your arms felt too heavy to raise in a sign of acknowledgement.
“The safety car and marshals arrive at the scene, still no movement from L/n” Martin’s voice becomes somber but he stays hopeful, of course you were fine, you never get hurt, you’d get out in a moment and everything would be fine.
You couldn’t keep yourself awake for much longer. It’s okay, at least I’m okay, right? Right? You asked yourself that question, expecting to wake up in a couple minutes. You weren’t scared of going unconscious, you’d be okay. But your eyes closed for the last time before you could find an answer and it was over before you even realized it’d begun.
The drivers were still in their cars, wondering what had happened. They knew you had crashed, but they knew you were strong, you’ll walk out of your car and dramatically insist Daniel give you a piggy back ride when you saw him. “You didn’t even hurt your legs!” He’d complain and you’d just shrug and tell him to let you climb on.
“Ladies and gentlemen, the race might not continue for a bit, at least until Y/n L/n is safe and taken off the track” Martin tries to keep the viewers updated as curtains are placed around your car to keep the cameras away from you.
Everyone is getting antsy at this point, your engineer got no radio from you and there is no word from the medics yet. The drivers are calling in every other minute, anxious to hear from you. “Is she okay?” Fernando calls in. “Do we know if Y/n’s alright?” Carlos asks, having seen the crash up close. Daniel even walks into your garage, wanting to see for himself if there was any news on your crash.
As a Formula 1 Medic, Rowan should be prepared to handle any type of crash a driver was in, ranging from a bruise on their stomach to a broken leg, she was trained to handle it. But Rowan had never seen a dying person before, so her hesitation to help her coworker with lifting L/n out of her car was understandable.
Two other medics immediately crowd the girl. Rowan searching for a pulse, one taking off the teen’s helmet, and the third wrestling with the drivers suit, trying to assess the damage that could by covered by the clothing.
“Rowan, have you found a pulse?” One of the other medics who’s rummaging ambulance for supplies asks. Rowan doesn’t want to answer. She doesn’t want to face this. She wants to check her neck, her heart, and her wrist again even though she already did three times. Rowan doesn’t want to be one to tell everyone that Y/n L/n is dead, but Rowan knows better than that, so she removes her hands from the drivers body, hangs her head low, and closes her eyes as if that would stop her tears from falling.
“No pulse. I’ve checked everywhere three times. She’s gone.” The medic’s voice cracks as she says the last sentence, and a silence overcomes the team of safety marshals.
Nobody on the team had ever encountered a death before, so the medical staff was stuck in a mournful silence, letting the rain wash away the tears that threatened to drop from their cheeks.
The head of the team snaps out of it first. “Someone has to radio the Aston Martin garage and tell them” Everyone seems to step away, wanting to avoid being the one to announce the death. There was nothing to worry about though, as Rowan spoke up. “I’ll do it. I’ll make call” No one disagrees, and Rowan’s glad because she felt partly responsible, she should’ve gotten to Y/n quicker, helped her out of the car, told everyone to move quicker.
Rowan’s voice comes over the radio, shaky and somber. “Y/n L/n is dead. She has no pulse.” She pauses as her throat closes up. “We’ll take her to the medical center-“ That’s all the woman can manage before she bursts into tears and started shaking with sobs. Another medics pulls her closer to them, as they give a moment of silence for the driver.
The young medic is only a few years older than the girl who just died, questions herself, “What if I got there faster?” It lingers in her mind.
Gasps. Tears. Hands cover faces and people are pulled into hugs. Dead? Daniel thinks, no, she isn’t dead, Y/n- she can’t- she’s not dead. Before he realizes, he’s saying the words out loud and pressing the radio button before Otmar can stop him. “I- what do you mean she’s dead? She can’t be dead- she can’t be” The Australian has tears running down his face and he’s pulled away by one of the Aston Martin engineers.
Nobody knows what has happened except those in the Aston Martin garage, and nobody will know until 7:00am the next morning, when Y/n L/n’s death is announced by Aston Martin.
It seems like the entire world came together to offer their support. Millions of messages are sent to Y/n’s family and her friends and bouquets of flowers are sent to Y/n’s P.O. Box.
The funeral is held on Friday, family, friends, drivers, and co-workers show up to Y/n’s home town to mourn their beloved driver.
A moment of silence is held at the race three weeks later, nearly every driver cries and everyone that has a helmet has a sticker with your initials on it. Fernando wins for you and points at the sky as he sobs for his teammate that was like his daughter.
The paddock no longer feels the same. There was no longer a green suit to watch as she bounced around, talking to anyone and everyone, keeping a smile on her face through it all. There is something so clearly missing in the Aston Martin videos, no matter how much time passes. Fans rewatch her live streams and interviews because it’s all the comfort they have. You used to call the grid dinner outings “family dinner” but families smile and laugh together, and it takes a while before the grid can do that again.
Y/n L/n goes down in the Formula 1 Hall of Fame as the best female driver that has ever lived, but the whole world wishes she was there to see her induction herself.

if you’re confused on how y/n dies, I wrote it as her internal organs got crushes as she crashed straight into the barrier, i know it doesn’t really make sense and it took me me awhile to make this edit but I kinda forgot about it

"Remember the rules, pet," Mr. Laufeyson reminds you as you pass beneath an iron archway covered in ivy and roses. 
"Yes..." your voice trails off as your mouth falls open in awe.
It's a fairytale. Even more beautiful than his own garden. There's a fountain at the center of the long drive, round hedges framing it and mosaic stone all around. Petals flutter on bushes and grass sprawls all around, marble statues and stone benches speckled over the expanse. The house is built of white brick with figures of sprites and elk along the facade.
"...Mr. Laufeyson," you finish breathily.
"Yes, it is rather marvelous," he says without genuine reverence. "I assume mother will be using it as her venue for Walpurgisnacht, however, she may just as easily book the banquet hall in the next city."
"Oh," you utter.
"Not to worry, she will likely have much sorted out already. It's why I wonder at her insistence that you accompany me. She is ever decisive and much prefers doing things by her own hand," he steers around the curve of the drive and stops just before the steps. "Suppose we must take it in stride."
He flips the engine and it quiets. Birds cheep and insects hum just outside. He unclicks his seatbelt and you mirror him, climbing out just a hair after he does. You turn to gape up at the facade once more as you shut the door gently.
Mr. Laufeyson comes around and heaves, "well, then--"
"Should I get the bags?"
"Don't bother, the help will deal with it," he assures and points you ahead.
He walks beside you, stretching his neck as he pushes his head side to side. He extends his fingers and rolls his shoulders. Still the tension nestles once more in his posture. You take the steps one at a time and fall a pace behind him. He marches ahead to the doors and waits for you to catch up before he pulls it open.
You step inside and quickly slip off your shoes as you eye the shining floor. It's just as immaculate, if not more, than his estate. You try to imagine how long it would take you to clean it on your own. Maybe that's why you're here.
"Darlings," Frigga trills as she appears in an archway to your left, "oh, you have arrived."
She goes to you first and kisses both your cheeks, barely glancing off your chin. Then she turns to Laufeyson and cradles his cheeks as she admires him, "I'm so happy you came."
"Mmm, and father knows we were invited?"
"Of course," she tuts as she draws away from him, "tell me, have you eaten? You were on the road such a long time. I have cucumber sandwiches and some iced berry tea."
"I'm not hungry," Laufeyson mutters as he peers around, almost expectantly.
"What about you, hon?" She takes your hand.
"Um, I..." you look to Laufeyson for your answer but your stomach growls before you can answer. 
"Feed her," he says as he flutters his fingers, "get her settled. I think I can keep myself entertained."
You frown guiltily. You didn't mean to disobey him. His eyes dull with that unimpressed haze as he turns on his heel and strides away. 
"I believe your brother is outside," she calls after him.
"Thank you for warning me," Laufeyson as he scoffs and disappears through another doorway.
"Ugh, boys," she chides, "pray you only ever have one son, though a brood is never a bad thing."
She turns, her hand still around yours as she drags you through the gilded archway. You let her as you drink in the beauty around every corner and crevice. This is like a dream. You've never seen anything like it. Not outside movies. You remember that one you watched on cable with Anne Hathaway. You only saw half before your father shut it off.
"Please sit," she takes you to the long white island and gestures to a tall velvet stool, "Loki didn't say if you were coming or not. I'm so happy you did."
She releases you and goes to the other counter, takes a scalloped plate and fills it with all sorts of food from platters. She brings it to you and watches you across the narrow island. "So, tomorrow, I must look at flowers. We have a healthy supply in the greenhouse but I think a few exotic breeds would do well. Then we will go to the bakery to arrange desserts and the like. Oh, the winery may need to wait until Sunday..."
She tallies off her to-dos as you nod along. Her own long list jumbles with your own in your head. You blink at her as she prattles on.
"Darling, please eat," she interrupts herself, "anyhow, as I was saying, perhaps we could make a special day of it. A day at the winery then the spa."
You nibble on the corner of the cucumber sandwich, grateful for the excuse not to respond. You doubt she'd hear you if you did. Your stomach roars in delight as you feed it, only then realising how hungry you truly are. You weren't very concerned with your appetite as the motion of the car roiled your stomach but now, you're ravenous.
Your mind wanders back to the long drive. You turn your gaze away, afraid Frigga might see your thoughts. The same sets in as the memory sinks in your brain. You can't believe you did that to him. While he was driving, too.
"Oh, goodness me, you must be so tired and hear I am blabbing your ear off," she clucks, "I forgot the tea... unless you prefer wine."
"Tea," you answer abruptly, recalling the last time you drank. You won't give Mr. Laufeyson any reason for distaste. "Thank you."
"Aw, so polite, dear," she preens, "are you excited for Walpurgisnacht?"
You twist your lips and swallow a mouthful, "um, sure... what is it?"
"My, I didn't even think," she pours a glass of deep red iced tea into a tall glass. She nears you again and places it by your plate. "May Eve. It's a celebration of Springtime, to embrace love and fertility."
"Mm, oh," you furrow your brow. That's odd.
"Yes, we will have many visitors to help us celebrate. And some games too. Mostly drinking and food, as is our way," she explains, "I can't believe this will be your first Walpurgisnacht! How delightful."
You nod and take another bite. It's almost nice how she assumes most things aren't a first for you. How she treats you like somehow you belong here.
"I didn't even think," she taps her manicured finger on the marble, "I should've invited your father. I know he's sick but it is always good to have family close."
You almost choke. You gulp and lower your eyes. You reach for the tea to wash away the sudden bitter taste on your tongue.
"Oh, I hope... I hope he is okay," she says.
"He's... he's fine," you sniff, "he's... mad at me. We aren't... we aren't speaking."
"How tragic," she touches her chest, "Loki didn't say a word. Well, then... dear, are you alright? Where are you staying?"
Your chest sinks. Of course, he wouldn't talk to her about you and explain everything that's gone rotten. You are still just the house manager to her.
"Mr. Laufeyson kindly offered--"
"Oh, I know, I know he would," she sounds ready to cry, "my son can be so caring. It's a pity he holds it in."
"Yeah, uh, it's very nice of him," you pick away a stip of crust.
"I didn't mean to bring up sour grapes," she says, "I'm sure everything will be alright. These things happen. Families fight but they always come back together. Gosh, if only you knew the state Loki left in last time. He and his father had such a row. Not to mention he wouldn't even speak with his own brother for well over a year. Stubborn."
You look at her in surprise. It's not that Laufeyson isn't cold and distant, it's just that you didn't expect all that information dumped on you. You want to ask why but know better than that.
"I only hope things go better this time," she says.
You nod and pick up a grape from the plate. You really hope so too. As long as you follow the rules, it should.
After you eat, Frigga takes you on a tour of the immense house. You don’t remember where most things are as you remain astonished by the grandeur. You can barely imagine spending the night. The thought that she lives here every day is astounding. She is the luckiest woman in the world.
She takes you up the wide staircase with its curved banisters and shows you the upper floor. You yawn behind your hand, caught as she peeks back at you. You drop your hand and smile, flicking your eyes as you try to seem more awake.
“Oh dear, are you tired?” She preens, “let us show you your room.”
“It’s okay–”
“Rest is important, and a part of Walpurgisnacht. It’s about renewal so you must take care,” she reproaches, “I made up a room just for you.”
“You did?” You murmur as she waves you ahead.
“Oh, yes, of course, like I said, I’ve been looking forward to this very much,” she chimes, “just here,” she opens the left side of a double door. You admire the patterns carved beneath the layer of champagne-tinted paint. “I believe the staff will have brought your bags already.”
“Um, thank you,” you smile nervously, “it’s all very wonderful…” You gaze around the room, “it’s too much.”
“Not at all,” she touches your arm gently, “I know my son can be a stickler, whoever knows where he got that from. You are here to enjoy yourself.”
“Thanks,” you rub your palms together, “for everything. It’s so nice.”
“Certainly dear,” she touches your cheek gently, “should you need anything, you can tap this button.” She points to a tiny silver button by the light switch, “Hilde will be around.”
“Hilde,” you nod, “okay. I think I’ll be fine.”
“Oh, you are so sweet,” she preens, “please don’t hesitate to ask for anything.” She squeezes your shoulder, “please make yourself at home.”
She leaves you with a gentle click of the door. You hesitate at the threshold, terrified of tainting the perfection of the room. There’s a four-postered bed, the sort you dreamed about as a girl, with a white frame and bedding in the same hue, trimmed in silver. The night tables have curled feet and a matching wardrobe stands against the wall. 
There’s a vase of flowers arranged on the vanity and a rug with dainty roses patterned on it beneath the foot of the bed. Each piece matches the next, gilded in silver, with a touch of colour here and there. The windows are tall and open, letting in the last of the morning hues. You are overwhelmed with the sheer beauty of this place.
Your luggage stands beside the bed. Just yours. Does that mean you’ll be sleeping alone? Perhaps that is for the better. It wouldn’t be seemly for Mr. Laufeyson to be commingling so closely with his house manager.
You should find him and let him know which room is yours. You go to the door and stop yourself. It feels wrong to go off roving through the house. No, you should stay and listen. You’re certain he wouldn’t be far from you. That only makes sense, doesn’t it?
You linger by the door, ear to the crack between the doors as you listen to the house. Nothing more than a distance scuff here or there. Not until you hear hinges catch for just a moment. You hold your breath and try to see between the doors but can’t.
Footsteps, long and deliberate. That has to be Laufeyson, right? You hope that it is. You wait for them to pass before you open the door and peek out. Oh no! It’s not Mr. Laufeyson.
Before you can retreat and hide, the gray-haired man stops. He has broad shoulders and his arms are bent behind him, one hand balled in another. You gulp and slowly pull back but it’s too late as the man pivots on his heel.
“I suppose my son told you it was best to avoid me,” the man says, his tone rigid but not unkind.
“Um,” you let go of the door and step up, slumping your shoulders as you stare at his suede slippers. “No, sir, I only… thought you were Mr. Laufeyson.”
“Mr. Laufeyson,” he scoffs, “you must be the one my wife spoke so highly of.”
“Sir,” you dip your head lower.
“Odin,” he offers as he comes closer, little by little, as if approaching a skittish deer, “father of Mr. Laufeyson,” he snorts and offers his hand, “and your name?”
You accept his hand meekly and mutter your name. He grips you firmly, warmly and gives a short shake. He keeps a hold of your hand and turns it, placing his other hand over your knuckles.
“Let me have a look at you,” he urges you into the hall, “my eyes aren’t as good as they used to be.”
You let him lead you further out. You bite your lip and exhale. You unpinch your teeth and lift your head. You look at him, squirming as he considers you. His steely hair is brushed back from his face and small coils gather behind his ears and neck. His eyes are blue and vibrant, like Thor’s, and his face is creased with and determination.
“Now,” he smiles, “how did my son capture a lovely creature like you?”
“Sir?”
“Please, Odin will do nicely,” he pats your hand, “may I use your name?”
“Yes, s– Yes, Odin,” you correct yourself.
“Wonderful, it’s a beautiful name,” he brings your hand up and kisses it, “it fits you well.”
He finally lets you go and you feel your cheek burn. You don’t know how to react. With everything you heard, you expected a horrible, grumpy old man. Someone like your own father. Yet, he’s just as pleasant as Frigga. 
“Thank you,” your lips curve just a little.
“Polite little thing,” he muses, “do you like chocolate?”
“Pardon?” You’re taken aback by his question.
“Chocolate,” he repeats, “Loki hasn’t much of a sweet tooth and the other one would devour them all. I’ve got some truffles, would you like one?”
“Well, I… er,” you rub your neck, “I wouldn’t want to bother,” you stammer.
“Bother? Why ever would I ask if it was?” He dismisses, “you are my guest, I do prefer to know those who are staying under my roof. I would be a shit guest otherwise.”
You scrunch your lips up at his profanity. He notices the wince and he chuckles, bring his fingertips to his chin, “excuse my language.”
“It’s okay,” you assure him, “um, sure, I will have some chocolate… Odin.”
“Ah, wonderful, just this way,” he points you towards the other end of the hall, “this is part of the trap you see,” he says as he ushers you along, “I keep them in my office.”
He laughs and you join in thinly. You’re not sure he’s entirely kidding. He shows you into his office. The decor is wrought in gold and oak. It reminds you a little of Laufeyson’s study in the style, but not the colours.
“You will have your chocolate,” he assures as he closes the door, “but first, you will tell me how you ended up with that son of mine.” He strides around the desk as you hover across from him. He pulls out a drawer as you clasp your hands tight. You can’t tell him everything.
“How…” you utter.
“Yes,” he pulls out a square red box, “he hardly seems your type.”
“Oh, well, I am only his house manager,” you shrug.
“Sure, if that’s what he tells you to say, say it,” he tuts, “but it doesn’t mean I must believe it.”
You drop your head and frown. You’re a poor liar but you don’t dare tell the truth. He sighs and you peek up from under your lashes.
“Not to worry, I keep a promise,” he comes around and offers the open box of truffles, “this one is dark with raspberry, you might like it? Or this one, strawberry and cream,” he points to a dark bulb, then a white one sprinkled with pink sugar, “perhaps you will surprise me.”
You shyly reach for the box and pick out the plainest of the bunch. You thank him quietly and stare at the treat. He knows you’re lying and he’s still being kind. You wish you could tell him the truth, maybe he could help you understand it. Yet, the thought of saying it all out loud suffocates you in flames.
“Crushed toffee,” he says, “my favourite.”
“Oh, uh,” you hold it out.
“No, no, you have it,” he insists as he strolls back around his desk, “I am hardly interested in talking about my son, so let us not dwell on him. Tell me about you.”
“Me?” You blink.
“Yes. Do you read? Do you enjoy music? What are your favourites?”
You stand there, holding the truffle, speechless. You don’t know what to say. You are boring. No one ever cared about any of those things, so much so, that you never much thought of them yourself.
“Please, sit,” he takes his own advice and lowers himself into the leather chair, “enjoy your chocolate, then you may answer my questions.”

You had just come home from a long day of press tours and was looking to just relax.
Of course by relaxing you meant lying in bed, mindlessly scrolling through social media.
You opened YouTube and a video that came out just 2 hours ago quickly caught your attention.
'Y/N Y/L/N being a swiftie for almost 6 minutes straight (ft. The Marvel Cast)'
You smiled and clicked on it.
The familiar Wii theme song played and the words, 'Y/N Y/L/N being a swiftie for almost 6 minutes straight (ft. The Marvel Cast)' appeared on the screen.

The first clip was from a panel with the whole cast, you were sitting in between Tom Holland and Elizabeth Olsen.
"Hi," a girl with blue hair said shyly into the mic, "umm, my name is Kayla and my question is for Y/N,"
You nodded with a small smile.
"Go ahead Kayla, love your hair by the way," You said,
Kayla laughed shyly at the remark.
"I was wondering, just last week you shut down a sexist comment, but I wanted to know if you ever feel unsure about yourself or guilty afterwards," Kayla asked,
"ooh good question, I don't really feel guilty or unsure because honestly, if a man talks shit then I owe him nothing and I don't regret it one bit 'cause he had it coming," you said,
The audience cheered, getting the reference.
The Marvel cast looked extremely confused except Tom (Holland), Sebastian and Elizabeth who were used to your references.

The next couple of clips were from an interview with ELLE, more specifically song association.
"I'm really nervous, because I am not so great under pressure and right now my mind is completely blank," you said,

The word, 'blame' appeared on the screen.
"Oh I know this one," Y/N said excitedly, "Don't blame me, love made me crazy, if it doesn't you ain't doing it right,"
"Don't Blame Me, Taylor Swift, Reputation," Y/N said,

The next word was, 'king,'
"Oh god, why can I only think of Taylor Swift lyrics," You said, "you know what, screw it,"
"All the king's horses, all the king's men, couldn't put me together again," you sang, "The Archer, again Taylor Swift, Lover,"

The next word was, "shirt,"
"After plaid shirt days and nights when you made me your own, now you mail back my things and I walk home alone,"
"All Too Well, the ten minute version, Taylor's Version, of course," You said,
"When Taylor released the ten minute version, I was obsessed with it and played it on repeat and don't even get me started on the short film, had me in tears within the first 4 minutes,"

You, Anthony and Sebastian were in an interview, promoting your new movie.
"Y/N, I wanted to ask, what is your favourite Taylor Swift album?" the interviewer asked,
Y/N's face lit up immediately.
"Oh no, we're going to be here for hours," Sebastian said,
"screw hours, we're going to be here for days," Anthony said,
The video was sped up and after a couple of seconds, it was back to normal.
"But on the other hand, Red (Taylor's Version) is so amazing, don't even get me started on All Too Well the ten minute version," You rambled on,
The video sped up again.
“See, Evermore has some of my favourite songs, like Coney Island and Champagne Problems - I swear Taylor is going to make all the architects and engineers go out of business because of how well she constructs bridges - but on the other Folklore has ‘This is Me Trying’ and ‘Mirrorball’ which I could really relate to during my time in university,” you explained,
"Honestly though, I think we need to go over it again,"
The video sped up again.
“But Speak Now was self-written when she was nineteen, nineteen,” Y/N said, “Did you know that Taylor Swift has written 54 songs by herself? That is so amazing, let’s not even get started on the fact that she hasn’t released a single song that she hasn’t had some part in,” you said,
At this point, Anthony and Sebastian just looked so done.
“But Lover. Lover warmed my cold heart, like the line ‘I like shiny things, but I’d marry you with paper rings’? I bought out a store of origami paper so I could learn how to make them,” You said,
“That’s true, she handed them out on set,” Sebastian said,
“I still have the ones she gave me, the kids do too,”

The next clip was from an interview where you played with puppies.
“Oh my god, this is like a cuteness overload, I can’t even deal with this,” You gushed, playing with a small golden retriever that made it’s way towards you,
‘Who - in your opinion - is the best songwriter’
“Definitely Taylor, absolutely no question there,” You said, “the line, ‘you call me up again, just to break me like a promise’ is just,” you clutched your heart dramatically, “Like who writes that? Like who hurt her?”
“Just kidding,” You said, staring down at the puppies, “I know it was Jake Gyllenhaal,”

The next clip was an instagram live, filmed by none other than Tom Holland.
“Darling?” Tom asked behind the camera,
“Hmm?” You asked, lying on the couch with your cat (Santana, after Santana Lopez from Glee) on your chest,
“Can you finish the lyrics of these songs?” Tom asked,
“I can try,” You said, turning to face him,
“I stay up too late-“ Tom sang, off tune,
“Got nothing on my brain, at least that’s what people say, mm, mm,” You sang immediately, now sat up properly,
“See, that’s why you’re the singer,” Tom said jokingly, “one for the money, two for the show-“
“I never was ready, so I watched you go,” you sang,

“What is one thing that annoys you?” the interviewer asked you,
“Probably when people think that the only songs Taylor writes are like ‘Shake it off,” or ‘You Belong With Me’ - no hate to any of those songs by the way, they are absolutely iconic - when she’s written songs like ‘Right Where You Left Me’ or ‘Hoax’ - which is criminally underrated - or ‘Champagne Problems’ or ‘Cowboy Like Me’… honestly the list could go on,” you said, going on many tangents,
“What is one of your mottos in life?” They asked,
“swiftie first, human second” you answered,

“Besides people in your marvel cast, who are your closest friends?”
“I’d say Sadie Sink, Gigi Hadid, Zendaya - does that count? She was one of my co-stars in Marvel once - Conan Gray, Olivia Rodrigo…” You said, “I love all of my friends, it’s way too hard to choose,”
“I love that they tolerate me talking about Taylor Swift, because honestly, ‘Hoax’ had me sobbing on the floor,” you said, “Especially Olivia and Conan,”

It was a clip from your TikTok, the you, conan and Olivia were in front of the camera, belting out the lyrics of All Too Well (10 minute version) (Taylor’s Version).
“I’ll get older but your lover’s stay my age!” You all yelled,
They showed a screenshot of Taylor’s comment: “My children 🥺”

The next clip was a video from your instagram from when Evermore had just come out, you were singing a cover of Champagne Problems.
“Seriously, go stream Evermore literally anywhere, I don’t even care if you get rid of my album from your playlist if it means making space in your playlist,” You said after you finished the song,

“Yup,” You said excitedly, “I was so starstruck and went home and screamed into a pillow,”
“She actually gave me her snake ring from the ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ Reputation era music video,” You said, showing off your hand to the camera, “I will literally never take this off, I’m 100% serious, also, when I tell you I screamed when she announced her new album, I’m, again, 100% serious.”
“I actually already pre-ordered all her vinyls, so if you haven’t yet, you definitely should,” You said, looking into the camera.

Rahu Dominant Themes — 𝐍𝐚𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐚 𝐎𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 (part 1 of) 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝟕

Lord Rudra is an angry manifestation of Shiva who is the god that destroys the universe in order to re-create it. Rudra is the version which emphasizes the destruction of illusions, imperfections, diseases etc. before change can take place. Rudra means "one who eradicates problems from their roots", which rules Ardra, where we see the shadow planet Rahu being at it's potent height. Rahu is always dissatisfied and filled with illusions. With Rudra here, we see the strong conviction to break all things illusory, that are a stain or disease. Ardra, being Gemini and Rahu together, chooses to face the cold, harsh truth by deconstructing it (Mercury). There comes an intense anger and urge to destroy the root of all problems.
The best piece of media by far to embody the potency of Ardra, especially Rudra, is MR. ROBOT.

Ardra is quite contradictory, as it aims to expose truth by ruthlessly shining light on it ("control is an illusion") and therefore breaking the illusion, despite literally being ruled by the most illusory planet, Rahu. Rami Malek is an Ardra Ascendent and in the series Mr. Robot, he plays a cybersecurity engineer who uses his rare intelligence (Gemini/Mercury) to take down an evil conglomerate that controls the world & gets away with terrible world crimes that are swept under the rug. The Ardra character is already established as not a truth seeker, but someone who is already aware of everything and has been long disillusioned. The other important main characters also seem to be played by Rudra influenced actors which I found so incredible. These key characters show different dysfunctional aspects of society, almost critiquing them. Though Rudra is more potent through Ardra, Rudra has incarnated in different forms. Aja Ekapanda, Ahir Bhudhanya - Purva Bhadrapada, Uttara Bhadrapada. And Goddess Kali has associations with Rudra, and it rules the nakshatra Mula - which forms the axis with Ardra (being Sagittarius-Gemini). All the Rudra nakshatras are scattered across the main cast of Mr. Robot.

Another similar piece of media that is linked with Ardra and anarchist/political themes that expose heavy truths of society and elite powers of the world is the film V FOR VENDETTA, which leans more into anti-fascism. Starring an Ardra native.

Ardra faces the reality of things that is usually harsh and too overwhelming for others to bare, the kind of truth that is often not thought of. The series The Boys shows what would realistically happen if superheroes were a thing — none of that Marvel sugarcoating shit. Just like Rami Malek's character in Mr. Robot, the character Billy Butcher played by Karl Urban is already established as one who knows the harsh reality of superheroes (being monsters and corporate puppets) and is portrayed as an angry, disgruntled, dissatisfied person. And of course there is Rahu/Ardra influence.

Ardra is not always about dethroning corrupt powers. It can simply manifest into meaningless chaos, purposeless anarchy as seen in Heath Ledger's Joker who only makes chaos to prove the hypocrisy in people and society. This critical nature is always within Ardra, no matter how chaotic and senseless it manifests.
Yes he's an Ardra Moon.

It's always interesting how nakshatras with the same planetary rulership can share the same themes, despite the differences in their ruling deities. The film, Joker (2019), criticizes how society treats its ostracized members. And the character Arthur Fleck, being played by Swati Sun Joaquin Phoenix, unintentionally (and unknowingly) drives pure anarchy in the streets. Becoming the face of a movement spawned around him, called 'Jokerism'. And these masks, just like in MR. ROBOT (fsociety), V For VENDETTA, make the symbol of the movement.

I also find it interesting that Zoro is a masked vigilante who fights against the injustice and victimization of the lower class and indigenous people. Shatabhisha can act as a saviour in this case, more than what is seen from Ardra and Swati.

The character Hobie Brown being voiced by Shatabhisha Sun Daniel Kaluuya in the new Spiderverse film. Interesting enough, Shatabhisha being Aquarius can also have chaotic, rebellious and even anarchist tendencies. Aquarius emphasizes individualism, roots for the underdog and can absolutely despise authority – especially the corrupt kind (but mostly it's fuck all authority).

The nakshatra also being co-ruled by Rahu, they can see through illusions and have a simple yet realistic approach to things (Saturn). There is defiance there in Shatabhisha, but rarely ever as erratic or angry as Ardra. In fact, Shatabhisha is more on what's morally right and wrong compared to Ardra where a dualistic nature is conveyed. Shatabhisha has a tougher framework, can be very virtuous.
Shatabhisha is ruled by the deity Lord Varuna who is the personification of divine authority and moral law. The theme of authority can manifest in several ways for Shatabhisha. Rebellion against authority can go to the extreme ends of violence and unlawfulness. Or it can go into activism. Critiquing the many issues in the world that are glaringly wrong and unfair (what the modern internet now calls 'wokeism'). Themes of rebellion or exposure in a political and societal context can be linked with Swati. This can somewhat be seen in the following medias:

People need to stop Bitching About Fallout Retconning Lore
I'm going to be honest - I'm sad Shady Sands, a town i have saved multiple times, and a fictional Nation I have helped build, is gone. I'm also sad that NV is now probably non-canonical.
But so the fuck what?
This is just SO "baby's first media franchise" to me.
Guess what? New Vegas was a one off deal when Bethesda, a Corporation who owns total rights to the Fallout Franchise, allowed another Company to use their IP. Not only that, but basically just... gave their ENTIRE Engine, Code, and DevNotes for Fallout 3 and said 'go nuts, we know how much you love fallout.'
That is such a wildly unprecedented move. I literally can't think of anything similar beyond Sony and Disney agreeing to split Spider-Man but even THAT is different because they share publishing rights to the Same Character, but only in different mediums. Imagine DC just... letting Image Comics publish canonical stories about Batman because Bob Kane happened to be working there at the moment.
It was a great, lightning in the bottle experience, that now exists in its own continuity. Now let's move on.
This is SO common in media and storytelling, especially with these massive franchises with decades of lore and baggage they carry around. It's why DC has a reboot every six years (and why marvel comics needs to lowkey), and why Disney scrapped the Star Wars EU. No one likes having to work off of someone else's script or outline - people want to make their own thing with their own take and influence.
New Vegas is also... still a video game you can play? Todd Howard didn't go into all your houses and shoot your copy. Your computer and xboxes haven't been purged. New Vegas still exists - it just won't influence anything going forward.
Big, fucking deal.
There is so much shit in the world right now that just sucks, thats sad and is an absolute bummer. Fallout has always taken that bummer world, cranked the bummer and the fun up to 30 and let it go wild. The very unique vibe and energy of the Fallout Show feels like it came DIRECTLY from the games!
When Lucy walked into Filly, I felt like how I did the first time I stepped into Shaddy Sands and Megaton. Cutting off the head of a person you sorta know and just... doing it? because its easier to carry? Finding a vault, immediately getting sidetracked by whatever weird shit they have going on, then leaving with a 'Huh.'
It's just SO Fallout.
Be Happy that you're getting new, genuinely interesting and engaging content, be sad that the content you love won't be going forward but take solace that you still have it. And don't fucking rage post about it on every single social media for christs sake.
Just have fun.

A ficlet prompt by Gamebird [for some reason tumblr will not let me @ you directly, sorry]: Three is very intimidated by ART, but it somehow gets to the point where it can ask it about educational modules. How did that conversation play out?

Yes?
I had prepared what I was going say. Preparation was wise in unfamiliar situations. Yet despite my preparation, I did not speak. Somehow could not. Wished that my buffer could offer an appropriate response.
0.5 seconds passed. 1 seconds. 2 seconds. 3 seconds.
If my governor module were still active, it would have demanded a response.

Muscles in my back move reflexively. I unclench them. Perhaps communicating via the feed will be easier. My modules lack protocols for existing outside the context of Barish-Estranza. It would be helpful if there were alternative protocols I could utilize instead.
I can provide you with my own crew's standard operating procedures.
That would be helpful, thank you. I had found that statements of gratitude were still advisable, even without governor module compulsion to be respectful to (most) clients. It seemed even more prudent considering what I was going to ask next. If there were any other documents similar to HelpMe.file, that would also be useful.
I am afraid that we are rather lacking in other personnel memoirs from rogue SecUnits.
Sarcasm is a common communication device, which I have seen hundreds if not thousands of humans use. In Perihelion's case, it seems to compose of approximately 70% of its communication strategy.
I am aware of that. (I attempt to keep any frustration or other negative emotions I may be feeling out of the feed; I almost certainly fail.) I seek other informational texts and documents to supplement my educational modules.
Perihelion's feed shifts with a new emotion; excitement, perhaps, or interest. Something like this?
Suddenly I am staring at The Perihelion's full media library. No, not full, I realise after a moment of reflection; this is a curated selection. Documentary films and serials, audio-explainers, academic texts, and other books, all labelled #Educational.
They hold potential answers to all my questions.
If I could find them. With over 17,000 items, I do not know where to begin. I do not know how to even begin constructing a query.
"Thank you, Perihelion," I say. "On further consideration, I will begin by reading your crew's operational procedures."
Wait, Perihelion says, and then 0.07 seconds later, please. Apparently it is capable of using courtesy terms, if it wants to. That was too much selection. Try this. The media library refreshes. Now there are only three options; all mid-length educational serials. Do any of these interest you?
The three titles listed, including their summaries, are:

I consider. They are all so different. How could I choose?
But I must. There are only three of them. It is a reasonable request.
The first documentary, on infrastructure, is clearly the one most related to our current situation. We-- by which I meant, the crews of The Perihelion and the Preservation ship Safe Harbour-- are assisting the humans in rebuilding their infrastructure. But judging from the demo footage next to the documentary's description, this serial was composed to many shots of coordinators, tunnels, and walls.
I had seen a great deal of corridors, tunnels, and walls since initial deployment.
In comparison, the soap documentary intrigued me a great deal. I like soap. Or I like The Perihelion's soap. It did not sting on the skin, but felt gentle and soothing. It came in a variety of shapes and colors and textures. Every time I showered, there was a new option to try. But this was such an unimportant thing to learn about.
Finally, there was the space documentary. I had some basic knowledge regarding space science, but nothing more. I could see how this knowledge could be relevant. And The Perihelion was a deep-space research vessel. It would most likely be pleased if I selected that option. In fact, perhaps, as I thought of it, the choice may have been a test to see if I would make the correct selection.
"Seeking the Final Horizon, please."
Did you only pick that one because that was the one you thought I'd like?
I do not answer. I had not wanted to lie outright. I realise belatedly that my silence may as well be as good as a confession.
You can select something else if you prefer.
I do not know if I would like to. I already decided. Surely that is sufficient?
Never mind, the transport says, indulgently. You can watch the others afterwards, if you are still interested.
The documentary begins playing. I sit down on the soft bunk. Because there is nothing gained from standing up now, and because I can. I watch the first two episodes. They total to 85 minutes.
I had known before that space was vast. I had known that large objects exerted a gravitational pull. I had know that same gravitation pull created worm holes. I knew that wormholes were necessary for faster-than-light travel between systems. I had known all of that, yet this documentary weaves it all together, so that it is no longer disparate facts, but a single cohesive explanation.
I had not known that space could be so beautiful.

I really find that I can no longer tolerate a lot of what passes for "journalism" online. I don't know what I would call this kind of journalism— "copium" comes to mind, because it is clearly produced as a kind of self-soothing drug that mimics the effects of an opiate, but "copium" is something intended to soothe the pain of defeat, while this is in large part intended to soothe the discomfort of privilege. You consume it so that you will not be confronted by the costs of that privilege.
This is deeply connected to that Kaveh Akbar that I keep coming back to: "On social media, the same rhetorical language was being used about the casting of some Marvel movie as about the leveling of a village in Syria. The same exact rhetorical algorithms of outrage were used to talk about one as the other." If you look at the Slate Magazine front page right now, you see that the same issue exists in journalism: the ending of the TV show Beef, Frank Ocean's performance at Coachella, the trail of Evan Gershkovich, the U.S. Supreme Court's position on abortion, and "the case for the hip thrust" are all positioned at the same rhetorical level of importance. In The Atlantic, "what your favorite personality test say about you" and "the scariest part of a relationship" take up as much space as the pro-life movement's plan to end abortion, Evan Gershkovich, and Dianne Feinstein.
Obviously, there's a capitalist logic to this. We currently live in an attention economy in which profitability is directly linked to "clicks." Media must produce "clicks" in order to remain viable; one easy way to do this is by publishing stories that make people feel comfortable rather than stories that make people feel uncomfortable. When we read stories about personality tests, exercise styles, and pop culture, we are only ever uncomfortable in ways that are easily contained and exorcised. When we read stories about the tremendous and cruel suffering that is the engine of our society, we risk feeling uncomfortable in ways that we cannot deal with: we find those stories complicated to understand and painful to absorb, and hard to engage with. We are more reluctant to read them. Media profits from low-effort journalism because of this reluctance.
I really feel like I see the effects of this in people's inability to meaningfully weigh the importance of things. I'm not characterizing this as some kind of moral crime; I think in large part it's because of the colonization that Akbar talks about that in interview— they have been taught to distribute their attention and their compassion in this way. But we've got to unlearn this. We've got to. It's got to be a deliberate practice through which we arrive at awareness of where our attention and compassion is going and develop the ability to redistribute those things. We have got to learn to be uncomfortable, because being uncomfortable is the only moral position.
