It was never supposed to happen. It was an accident. But it wasn't truly convincing as you stood in an isolated farm the warm sun warming the sticky wet feeling of the blood lathered over your hair, body and clothes.

You stood over the now still corpse the smell of blood still waving under your nose, but now it didn't seem appetising.

You felt sick.

You had killed some random farmer in his own farm not far from his farmhouse, which you now wondered if it held his his family, and you had eaten him after you bought eggs and milk. Right there and then.

Pieces of dewy flesh was still stuck in-between your teeth that were no longer pearly white. Your white shirt was barely white anymore your now red shirt was far much evidence of the crime you commited. The egg and milk splayed across the grass long forgotten .

Up until now you never understood your craving of blood and flesh.

Maybe it was because it was the farmer first who had been cat calling you and making comments at you from his barn across to your place walking on the side of the empty road when you made your way to purchase eggs and milk, that caused you to act out.

Or maybe it was because you were hungry and it was about time the bad habits you denied made you snap.

But whatever it was couldn't come now

Not when you had met someone

Not after you had met lee. Lee who understood you. Lee who you loved. Lee who had your firsts. And lee who wanted to live your future with.

Lee who was coming to pick you up right now.

The eggs and milk that you had paid for with the money he gave you were now ruined on the grass and with you drowned in blood and a ripped open farmer underneath you knew it would scare him.

Your blood ran cold as you tried looking around for an escape. Maybe for a place to change your clothes or wash the blood off of you but standing in an empty barn with an isolated road you were stuck.

Trying to think of an escape route for your current situation, you didn't notice the shadow of a figure making is way towards you.

You only seemed to realise when it called out your name.

You snap back to reality to see him stalking towards you eyes squinting from the sun.

You panicked as you saw his eyes slowly peel wider, his eyes slowly drifting down the state of your body to the bleeding corpse Infront of you.

You closed your eyes and swallowed the lump in your throat as you awaited the disgusted screams and revolted shouts that would escape lee.

But they never came.

Upon the sounds of groans and flesh being torn the fresh sweet smell of flesh wavered beneath your nose replacing the tangy dried blood.

As you reluctantly opened your eyes, you were met with the sight of lee crouched upon the farmers body he was clearly feeding on the body.

Eventually he pulled away a hand wiping at the thick blood that was coated around his mouth and chin, blood splattered on his face and dripping down his neck. His tank top now seemed to match yours.

He grinned as he stood up , walking towards you, his grin faltering when he caught onto your panicked look and your wide eye gaze.

His bloodied hands cupped your face.

'i didn't know you were an eater? I couldnt smell it off you how-'

You ripped yourself from his grip shaking your head 'no no no- I am not- I am NOT an eater. I don't know how-this was a mistake I don't...' you trail off ' I wasnt thinking-'

Lee grabbed you back into his grip 'listem what you did back there- that's not normal. You ate him. You ate the farmer. You are an eater and no matter how many times you deny it you will always come back to this situation. Just accept it. I did. I know it's hard but we can't help it. Its either this or we maul ourselves to death. I watched the whole thing and he deserved it okay?'

Tears brimmed in your eyes 'lee I don't know what to do I- ' your eyes drifted over his body 'youre covered in red'

Lee chuckles 'im here for you okay and I'll show you every step of the way this is nothing to be ashamed of.'

He glances at the body beside the both of you 'we should dig the body and then wash up in his farmhouse. He should have some extra clothes. We'll stay here for a bit and then get back on the road with his food and money.'

He cups your face again and presses his bloody lips against yours slipping his tongue in your mouth allowing you to taste the coppery taste of blood.

After pulling apart breathless he rests his forehead against yours.

'you see this. All this blood?

The red means I love you.'
