'Enchanted Shadows: A Witch's Dance' weaves a tale of forbidden attraction, empathy, and a love that flourishes amidst the supernatural shadows.
Enchanted Shadows: A Witch's Dance
The Mystic Falls night was shrouded in darkness, and you found yourself wandering through the abandoned streets, your heart heavy with the weight of the supernatural world you had become a part of. As a young witch, you had always been warned about the dangers lurking in the shadows, and it seemed that fate had led you to one of the most dangerous of them all: Kai Parker.
Kai had a reputation that sent shivers down the spines of even the bravest vampires and witches. His twisted sense of humor and unpredictable nature made him both feared and fascinating. It was said that he had no regard for anyone's well-being but his own, yet there was an undeniable charisma about him that drew you in.
One fateful night, while you were tending to the herbs in your garden, you felt a presence behind you, a subtle but unmistakable shift in the air. Before you could react, a voice whispered in your ear, "You're quite skilled with those herbs."
Startled, you turned to find Kai standing there, his blue eyes sparkling with an inexplicable curiosity.
"You... you shouldn't sneak up on people like that," you stammered, trying to maintain your composure.
Kai chuckled, a sound that sent a strange warmth through you despite your better judgment. "I tend to do a lot of things I shouldn't."
Over time, you found yourself drawn into Kai's orbit, despite the warnings of your friends and the nagging feeling in your gut that told you to stay away. He was an enigma, a puzzle you couldn't resist trying to solve.
As the days turned into weeks, you discovered that there was more to Kai than met the eye. He had his demons, his past filled with pain and isolation. You couldn't help but feel a sense of empathy for him, a desire to understand the darkness that consumed him.
One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon and the stars filled the sky, you found yourself standing with Kai in the same garden where you had first met. His hand brushed against yours, a touch so gentle it surprised you.
"You're not like other witches," he mused, his voice uncharacteristically soft.
You met his gaze, your heart pounding in your chest. "And you're not like other vampires."
A ghost of a smile tugged at his lips. "Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"
You reached up, your fingers tracing the lines of his face, feeling the coolness of his skin. "I haven't decided yet."
In that moment, the world faded away, leaving only you and Kai in a fragile bubble of connection. It was a connection forged in defiance of the darkness that surrounded you both, a connection that held the promise of redemption and love in a world where such things seemed impossible.
As you leaned in, closing the gap between you, you knew that the path you were treading was dangerous, but it was a risk you were willing to take—for Kai Parker had become more than just a dangerous enigma; he had become the missing piece in your own complicated puzzle.

“You have to promise to use this wisely and not get caught with it. Not in school, and certainly not at home,” you reiterate to Kai for maybe the third time in twenty minutes.
“I know, I know! Trust me, princess, I know the risks.”
“If it runs out, I can give you more, but if my parents suspect something’s up, they’ll find a way to contact yours.”
“But what if I run out before the day’s over and it’s just wasted? If I don’t use it, it drains.”
You sigh. “What are you suggesting?”
“I don’t know… can’t I just play with it a little? I can’t do that much damage during school hours. Worst I could do is make some kid trip over his shoelaces.”
“Kai!”
“I’m kidding! But seriously, Y/N…”
“Okay, I see your point. Do whatever you want with it, just don’t get caught.”
“And if I run out, you’ll give me more?” He hates to sound greedy, but he’s desperate.
“Of course. I can’t imagine what it’s like to not have permanent access, so as little as I use mine, I might as well give it to you.” He nods. “But again, be careful.”
“I will.”
“Okay. We’re coming up on the school now. Take my hand.”
He does, and then you nod to him to siphon. “Tell me when to stop.”
Your hands glow, but it doesn’t hurt. Kai says when he siphons his siblings, it hurts them. But you don’t feel any pain. If anything, your body warms with a tingly, pleasure-like feeling. After about thirty seconds, you start to feel a little dizzy though, and decide that’s a good time to cut him off.
“Stop.”
He drops your hand immediately. “Sorry.”
“It’s okay. No pain, just a little dizzy.”
“Okay,” he confirms. He’d hate to hurt the one person who’s ever given him any love and attention.
“How do you feel?”
Kai smiles as the magic runs through his veins. He lets out a small moan that settles in the pit of your stomach. “Good,” he finally answers. He then takes the pencil you’ve stuck behind your ear and makes it float in the air.
“Good,” you say, stopping for a moment to kiss the side of his face. You take your pencil back as the school comes into view. “See you in class?”
“Mhm.”
The two of you walk up to the doors together, then part ways for your first class.
You have third period together, but Kai sits all the way in the back, while you’re in the middle row. The teacher assigned the seats, and rudely placed his kids by favoritism: most engaged in the front; most uninterested in the back. Kai’s incredibly smart, but that comes to his disadvantage in school. Most of the lessons are boring; he passes them with flying colors and faces little challenge completing them. He finishes early, or already understands the material, and ends up tapping his foot or fingers during class. Mr. Peters interprets this as disrespect and boredom.
Today in class, you’re reviewing the different systems in the body. Yet another topic that Kai has practically memorized. The final exam is in three weeks, though with the material being as difficult as it is, Mr. Peters has decided to start studying early. The material isn’t too much of a challenge for you, though Kai still has you beat in that matter.
The man makes a list of topics on the chalkboard, then slowly goes down his list asking and answering questions about each one. He asks something and the class responds, but every so often, someone asks their own question, and he launches into a huge explanation for it. It’s during one of your classmate’s questions that you suddenly start to feel a heaviness in the bottom of your stomach.
Immediately, you put a hand to it. Your mind races to think of what could’ve caused it. You hadn’t eaten anything weird that day, nor have you had any aches or pains all week. In the middle of your train of thought, the feeling shifts lower. There’s a pressure traveling south. In the next moment, it feels like circles being rubbed down along your body. Intentional pressure. Kai.
Your brain provides the reason as soon as you recall your morning: you gave him magic.
“Do whatever you want with it,” you had told him.
Well, he sure is now.
Slowly, you turn to face him. His hands are hidden from sight, inside his desk, but the smile creeping on his face is unmistakable. He’s certainly messing with you.
Stop, you mouth to him.
The bastard only winks.
You turn back around and cross your legs over each other, squeezing them tight. There’s no freaking way he’s doing this in the middle of class.
The pressure suddenly increases. You can almost feel the pads of his fingers touching you - one on your clit, two brushing your folds. You bite your lip so hard it might bleed. Your hands are clenched into fists underneath the table.
“Kai, stop,” you think, hoping there’s even a point one percent chance he can read your mind. He doesn’t, though, and if anything, mimics dipping between your folds, feeling your walls.
“The organs involved in the endocrine system are- Y/N,” your teacher stops mid-sentence to look at you, “are you okay?!”
You release your fists, hoping to look less suspicious. “Yeah. I have a stomach ache. Do you- do you mind if I go to the restroom?”
Mr. Peters hurries to his desk for a hall pass. “Not at all. Go to the nurse if it doesn’t feel better in ten minutes.”
“Yes, sir. Thank you.” You take it and hurry out the door.
You spare a glance at Kai on your way out. He smirks at you when you look at him, but then looks back at his hands, clearly focused. The feeling sharpens, and you dash out the door.
As soon as you reach the bathroom, you fling yourself against the wall in the nearest stall. You’re still biting your lip not to moan, but don’t fight the need that brings you to unbuckle your belt to relieve some of the built-up tension. Criminally, it seems Kai can still control you despite the distance. You can still feel his finger-pads petting your walls. The pressure is still on your clit, and it only grows by the minute.
“Fuck,” you mutter, feeling yourself getting close.
You drop two fingers to your clit, rubbing it yourself. Your knees almost buckle, and you have to push your toes against the edge of the toilet to not slip.
“Goddammit, Kai.” It’s a whisper, but you really hope no one else is in the bathroom right then.
You focus on the way he feels on you, as well as the added pressure you’re giving yourself. Within two minutes’ time, you come. It hits you hard. Your knees almost give out, despite the way you tried to hold yourself upright. Your chest heaves; the sensation sends pleasure throughout your whole body. Your vision gets spotty, and soon, your lip starts to bleed. It’s overwhelming in all the best ways.
After another few seconds, Kai seemingly retracts his fingers. You curse him the minute he does, remembering you’re in school, and you’re supposed to be studying in class right now.
The moment you get your bearings, you stumble to your feet and towards the sink. You wash your hands and grab onto the solid material to ground yourself; your brain is still swimming in post-high fuzzies.
“Fuck you, Kai,” you think, again telepathically, hoping he can hear you. If he can, you’d bet your life on the fact that he’s wearing his signature smirk.
When you finally recover, you make your way back to class. You offer Mr. Peters a half smile and report that most of it is gone. “Must’ve been something I ate this morning,” you lie.
He replies with his own smile and a nod, and goes back to teaching.
The moment you sit, you turn to see Kai, who is, in fact, smirking at you. You give him a playful roll of your eyes before turning back to the lesson.
Luckily, that’s his only shenanigan for the day. During lunch and your other classes together, he dares to act innocent. You would scold him for it during lunchtime, but Jo is sitting with you today, preventing that entirely.
The walk back to school provides the perfect timing.
“Malachai Parker,” you say in your best authoritative voice.
“What? Did I do something wrong?”
“Did I do something wrong?! Did I do- you know what you did.”
“I don’t recall.”
“Third period. You and your magic fingers. You-”
“Oh,” he has the nerve to laugh, “that. Did you like that?”
“Did I like that?! Kai, during class?!”
“You said I could do whatever I wanted as long as I didn’t get caught. I didn’t get caught.”
You scoff. “I did not mean for you to do that!”
“But you liked it. What’d you do in the bathroom?”
“What?!”
“Why’d you go to the bathroom?”
“To hide the fact you were fingering me in class! What do you think I went for?!”
“Did you come?”
“Excuse me?”
“Simple question, princess.”
“I did not-”
“Don’t lie to me now.”
“Fine,” you bite your lip, “I did.”
He smiles. “Got you. Knew you liked it.”
“That was so inappropriate! I’d never think you’d be so bold. And when did you know when to stop? You did, like, ten seconds after I finished.”
He chuckles like it’s a game. “The last five times I’ve fingered you, it’s taken you five minutes on average to come. I watched on my watch; three minutes happened in class, two in the bathroom. I gave ten seconds to spare to either get you there if you needed extra time, or to ride you through it. Turns out, I’m pretty spot on.”
“Putting your brain to great use,” you mumble, “and my magic.”
Suddenly, he looks nervous. “You’re still gonna give it to me, right? I didn’t lose my chances to have it, did I? Because I can behave. Y/N, I promise. It won’t happen again.”
You change your attitude to match his. “Oh, baby, no. No, I’m not like that. Don’t you worry about stuff like that. I’m still gonna give you magic, even if you use it in questionable ways.”
“Okay. I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay. But one condition.”
“Yes ma’am?”
“Wait until actual study time, like in the library, to do it. Not in class. Unless we’re watching a movie.”
“Deal.”
“Good.”
“I love you, you little weasel.”
He scrunches his nose at the nickname. “I love you, too.” Then he chuckles. “I fingered you in class.”
“Kai!”

Hope you are having a happy new year! Could you do a fic where Kai Parker and his reader gf are spending a cozy evening at home watching old black and white films. the leading man in the film spanks the woman and the reader thinks its sexist, but Kai says it would work for her. She pinches his nipple and in playful retaliation Kai bends her over his knee bares her bottom and spanks her. Reader is very turned on, Kai fakes outrage and spanks between her legs as well, she climaxes and as he cleans her up he tells her she's getting another spanking during the commercial break. please thank you.
pairing: kai x fem!reader
warnings: smut, spanking, fluff
a/n: thank you, i hope you're having a happy new year too!! thank you for the request, sorry this took so long😅 hope you enjoy!

"This is ridiculous." You scoff, shaking your head as you watch the monochrome images play out in front of you. "Like, how is that not sexist?"
Kai chuckles beside you, nudging you gently in the arm. "C'mon babe, he's only spanking her. It's hot."
"It's sexist." You affirm.
"Bet it'd work for you."
"Shut up!" You grin, feigning a gasp as you reach out and grab at his chest, managing to successfully pinch his nipple, earning a loud groan from him before he's pulling you over his lap.
"Now." He starts, releasing a heavy sigh as he tugs down your shorts, revealing your bare ass. "Let's put your claims to the test."
"Kai, come on. Let me up." You whine, wriggling in his grasp.
He just shakes his head, his palm hovering over your ass. "A-a-a. I'm very angry with you."
You can tell from his voice that he's only messing around, but you don't fail to notice the heat already beginning to pool between your legs as he brings down the first slap against your ass.
You gasp, your head jerking forward slightly as you continue to complain, although you're not sure how believable it is now. "Kai, please, I'm sorry, okay?"
"You're not getting away that easily." He replies, a sense of authority in his voice. "You've been a naughty girl. And naughty girls get punished."
Before you're even able to respond, you feel his palm connect with your skin again, a small gasp falling from your lips.
The movie is still playing on the TV but you're barely registering it now as Kai continues with your 'punishment'. Only after a couple more slaps, he pauses momentarily, and seconds later you feel his fingers connect with your pussy, your body jerking off his lap from the contact.
You fail to suppress a moan as he brings his hand down between your legs again, his fingers harshly slapping the sensitive flesh.
"Kai, Jesus--" You breathe out, heat creeping up your neck as he continues, an amused chuckle leaving his lips.
"You sure this won't work for you?" He asks, spanking you between your legs again. "Because you're soaked right now."
You can only respond with a quiet moan, your release already coming close.
Kai continues what he's doing, amusement still evident in his voice, and it isn't long before your release finally hits, fire exploding in your belly as you come.
And once he's satisfied, Kai finally lifts you off his lap, leaving you sitting next to him as he smirks at you.
"How about I clean you up and during the commercial break we try that again?" He suggests, his lips still twisted into a smug smile as he looks at you.
You can only offer him a weak nod as you attempt to control your breathing.
"Sexist my ass." He mumbles as he returns to watching the movie as though nothing ever happened.

Prompt: “Nobody warned you about me?”
Summary: Y/N is loosely a member of the Mystic Falls gang, and basically the only one who doesn't think revenge is the best answer to every problem. After spending some time in New Orleans with their best friend, Kol Mikaelson, they come back to Mystic Falls to find Bonnie and crew exacting revenge on their latest enemy, Kai Parker. But, after Kai showed some signs of humanity and change, Y/N is convinced there's a better way to deal with him. So, they steal an ascendant and go to 1903 to get him out.
Word Count: 2,735
Category: Fluff, little bit of angst (esp. at the beginning)
Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
"Wait, what? You just left him there?" I demanded, staring at Bonnie in utter disbelief.
"Yes. Because that's what he deserves. Did you not hear me telling you about all the awful, horrible things he's done, Y/N?"
"Yeah, Bonnie, I did hear you! Did you not hear me when I brought up how easily our problems were solved when we made friends with people and gave them a chance instead of immediately trying to kill them? Or when I laid out how many times our problems were caused by getting trapped in some giant circle of revenge?"
Bonnie rolled her eyes. I was absolutely fuming, and so was she. I'd just come back from visiting my best friend, Kol Mikaelson, in New Orleans, after hearing my friends fill me in on some new witch who had been causing problems lately. Based on what they'd told me most recently, after going through quite literally a hell of a lot, there was actually starting to be a glimmer of hope for this new witch to be roped into joining our side as a friendly, and not an enemy.
Until recently, when Bonnie had apparently stabbed him and left him for dead after pretending to give him a second chance.
"Look, Y/N, just because your little rehab project half-worked on Kol Mikaelson-"
"Bonnie, Kol is my friend, because we built up trust and mutual respect and stopped crossing lines with each other! We broke the fucking circle of revenge that you people–him include–seem to just love living in for some reason!"
"Does not mean that Kai Parker is redeemable!" Bonnie continued, shouting over me to be heard. "I'm not forgiving him, Y/N! And you have no right to tell me I have to!"
I sighed heavily and pinched the bridge of my nose. "Bon, I know. And I'm not trying to tell you you have to forgive him. I'm sorry if that's what it was coming off as. You have every right to never forgive him, and I'm not saying you even have to be friends with him! But I am telling you that getting revenge by literally stabbing him and trapping him in some nightmare hell dimension, when he was just starting to show signs of wanting to make some kind of change, is the literal worst decision you could've made!"
"I've had enough of this," she said, holding up her hands and shaking her head as she took a few steps back from me. "I'm going to go see Elena, and I don't want to hear about this anymore."
"Fine. I was kinda done talking, anyway," I said. I took a deep breath and reached into my pocket, trying not to look too suspicious as I grabbed the ascendant that I'd stolen from Bonnie when I'd first seen her. Shady, for sure, but I stood by the fact that it was the right move. Every time my friends decided to get some kind of revenge when there was another option, it backfired. This time, I was determined to get us on a different path.
Being a witch had its perks, and it didn't take me long to work a little magic of my own on the ascendant. I saw Bonnie's eyes widen as she realized what I was doing, but then, before she could stop me, I was somewhere else. I looked around, finding myself in a clearing in the woods, a heavy blanket of snow all around.
This feels like a scene out of a horror movie, I thought, and immediately scowled at myself for going there. Not the kind of mindset I wanted to have right now.
I took a deep breath and looked around the circle, hoping for any signs of life, but I came up empty. Despite the fact that every instinct in my body told me not to, I took a deep breath and shouted into the darkness.
"KAI! Kai Parker, are you here?"
I waited, listening intently, but heard nothing. A shiver ran up my spine and I took a deep breath, trying not to let my imagination run away from me.
"Kai? Hello? My name is Y/N Y/L/N, I came to get you out of here!"
"I don't think I've met you before."
I whirled around at the sound of a voice behind me, doubling over with my hand on my heart as the adrenaline spiked and then started to drain away. A tall, handsome man with piercing blue eyes stood there staring at me, his head tilted slightly to the side with one eyebrow raised.
"Kai Parker, I presume?" I huffed between breaths, finally calming down enough to stand up straight again. "You scared the shit out of me."
"And who are you?"
"I'm Y/N Y/L/N-"
"Yeah, I heard your introduction. But who are you?"
"I'm a friend of the Mystic Falls gang, sort of. I've been gone visiting a different friend for a while, but I'm back for a visit. When I got here, Bonnie told me what she'd done to you, so I..." I trailed off then cleared my throat, feeling slightly guilty for what I'd done behind my friend's back. "I stole the ascendant and came to get you out."
"Nobody warned you about me?" asked Kai, prowling a few steps closer to me. I laughed a breathy laugh and held my ground, despite my heart picking up the pace ever so slightly.
"No, they did. At length."
Kai stopped at my words, quirking an eyebrow again.
"And you still came?"
I shrugged. "It sounded like you were interested in making a change, or even just making some friends, but nobody gave you a chance. I've been there before, and it sucks. So I thought I'd come and do something about it."
Kai just stared at me for a few beats, and I swear I could see his mind processing all the new information. I held in a smile at the sight; it was kind of cute.
"Okay, so, I'm kind of new to this whole... emotions thing," he said, waving a hand in the air and grimacing. "But... I'm feeling kind of... weird, right now."
"Weird how?" I asked, taking a few steps closer to him. He stared down at me, looking incredibly confused that I wanted to approach him, but answered any way.
"Weird like... like there's something moving around in my chest, and it's grabbing my heart in a claw and squeezing it."
This time I couldn't help it; I smiled.
"I mean, that could be a lot of things, but... maybe it's a little bit of relief? Or being overwhelmed that I'm here, and that I came for you?"
"Relief... hm, maybe. By the way, it was an absolutely insane choice for you to come here without even knowing me. Why did you... why did you do that?"
I shrugged. "Ever heard of Kol Mikaelson?"
"Mmm... maybe. Crazy powerful, insane Original vampire with a lot of brothers and a sister who like to terrorize the world?"
"Maybe not how I would describe them, but yeah."
"My parents talked about them. They debated trying to step in and put them down a few times."
"Oof. Probably better for everyone involved that they didn't."
"And what's your point?"
"The Mikaelsons first came to town a few years ago, and caused absolute chaos. Honestly, it was pretty terrible, and me and the rest of my friends were scrambling to figure out what to do about them. Kol was especially problematic, and he almost killed, like, half my friends."
"I can see why you speak so fondly of him now."
I rolled my eyes at the sarcasm. "Okay, we didn't really get along at first. But then, while Damon and crew were cooking up some insane attack plan revenge scheme whatever, I happened to run into Kol at the Mystic Grill. He was being menacing and trying to manipulate me, but then a song came on in the Grill, and we both immediately grimaced because it was a terrible song. It was such a tiny moment, but we actually made a real connection over it. And from there, little by little, we became actual friends. Instead of getting caught up in manipulations and scheming and attempts to do each other in, we started hanging out and making compromises about lines we wouldn't cross. And then he stopped being a problem for me and my friends."
"So...?"
"So, ever since, I've kind of made it my mission to give people a chance at redemption before going apeshit with the rest of the Mystic Falls Gang and their insane ass schemes. Sometimes it doesn't work, but sometimes it does, and it saves us all a lot of hurting. And, sometimes, I find a new best friend."
"So you're best friends with a psychotic Original vampire now, because you both hated the same song?"
"Yup! He's the friend I was coming back from visiting, actually. It's crazy how life works sometimes, isn't it?"
"What was the song?"
"Uck, some garbage by the Spin Doctors."
A ghost of a smile flashed across Kai's face, and he huffed a small laugh.
"You hate the Spin Doctors?"
"Big time."
"Huh. So... assuming I go along with this, and don't just siphon your magic and take the ascendant..." he started taking a few casual steps closer to me. We were almost chest to chest now, but I still didn't back down an inch. "What's your plan for stopping me from getting revenge on Bonnie for literally stabbing me in the back?"
I sighed. "What is everyone's obsession with getting revenge all the time?" I cried, throwing my hands up in the air. "Seriously, don't you people have better things to do?"
Kai just raised an eyebrow at me again, so I put my hands on my hips and fixed him with a look.
"My plan is to convince you of the same thing I convinced Kol: there are way better things to spend your time on than some ridiculous revenge scheme that's only gonna make life worse for everyone, you included."
"By doing what?"
"Offering you a better option." I smiled, then gestured with my hands to add a little dramatic flair to my words. "Picture this: touring the world, visiting all kinds of cool new places, singing some good karaoke, and finally escaping all the stress and heartache and negative emotions that come with involving yourself in Mystic Falls drama."
"Possibly tempting... say more."
"Kai, look, I know I don't know you. But I'd like to. And if you agree, I say we go on an adventure together. You're new to the modern world, there's no way you've seen all of the coolest things we have to offer post-nineties. Let's go explore it together. We can start in New Orleans, and you can meet Kol, and then we can go wherever the hell we want after that."
Kai swallowed hard, and although I could tell he was trying to keep up his smooth, cool, scary posturing, I'd gotten pretty good at reading emotions over the years. There were finally some cracks in the mask, and I could see the hope and hurt swirling just under the surface.
"You'd really... you'd really do that?"
"Yeah. I'm all about having adventures, and I want a buddy to go see the world with. So... what do you say? Wanna be my buddy and dip out on the whole revenge thing?"
A smile tugged at the corner of Kai's mouth, and although he tried to fight it, he couldn't hold it in.
"Well, I guess since you came all this way..."
I grinned at him, not even bothering to try to play it cool. I held out my hand, and after a short pause, Kai took it.
"You know I can siphon peoples' magic by touching them, right?" he asked, his grip on my hand tightening just a little. I squeezed right back.
"Yeah, I told you before, I got briefed on your whole deal. Now c'mon, we've got places to see."
With my free hand, I pulled the Ascendant out of my pocket. I could see Kai smiling out of the corner of my eye as I started to the spell to take us back, and our hands were clasped tight enough that I could feel his heart racing through his palm. Sure, my style of dealing with things didn't always work, but a little kindness and an olive branch sure could go a long way.
It didn't take me long to get the spell right, and suddenly, Kai and I were standing in the middle of the Salvatore living room, right where I'd left Bonnie after our argument. I really shouldn't have been surprised, but we were immediately surrounded by the Mystic Falls gang, looking ready to fight.
I swore, clutching Kai's hand a little tighter. He squeezed my hand back, which I hoped was a good sign, and I did my best to stare down my friends.
"Guys, listen, I get that you're not a fan of Kai, but I seriously need you all to back the hell off-"
Their faces immediately transformed into looks of shock and horror, and then they stopped looking at me and Kai and started staring around the room instead. At the same time, I felt just the slightest trickle of my power drain away, and I turned to Kai in confusion.
"What-?"
"I made us invisible," he quickly explained, suddenly looking a little concerned. "I hope that's okay. I needed to siphon you to do it, and we didn't really have time to consult. Agh, just, don't freak out on my-"
"Kai," I held up a hand to stop him, and he immediately froze, looking at me with wide eyes. I could see the fear and insecurity as plain as day, as he clearly worried he'd just scared off his new (and only) friend. "It's okay, I was just surprised. Honestly, it was a great move. We should probably get out of here, though, before they get any ideas."
Kai sagged with relief. "Okay, good, because for a second I thought-"
"Hey. Seriously, it's okay. It's going to take more than a well-timed spell to frighten me off. I'm friends with an Original vampire, remember?"
Kai smiled at me, then started to look confused again as he raised his free hand to clutch at his chest.
"Is this... what is this? Ugh, feelings suck."
"No shit," I agreed with a laugh. Gently, I tugged him towards me with our joined hands, and he looked at me with wonder in his eyes. "You wanna talk about what it feels like?"
"It feels like I'm having a heart attack. And like... like insects are flapping around in my chest whenever I look at you. Are you secretly killing me with some spell I don't know about?"
I couldn't help a small laugh, even as I shook my head.
"Most people call those butterflies, Kai."
"This is what people were talking about when they said that? Weird, but... kinda fits."
I hummed, then on whim that I let myself be carried away by, I leaned up and kissed Kai on the cheek. He turned to look at me in complete shock, a disbelieving but happy and dazed look on his face, and I couldn't help another small laugh.
"C'mon, we can analyze how close butterflies and heart attacks are to the same feeling later," I said, tugging him along with me towards the front doors of the Salvatore house. "Right now, we've got a road trip to New Orleans to begin. And once we get to the car I can show you Spotify. You're gonna love it."
"I can't wait," he said, his voice still a little dreamy as he followed behind me. Now it was my turn to fight butterflies as we snuck out of the house together, still hand in hand. As much as I'd compared him to Kol, I'd never felt like this around my best friend.
Whatever the future held next, I could tell it was going to be an absolutely incredible adventure. And no matter what, I truly couldn't wait to get to know Kai Parker, especially away from all the drama of Mystic Falls.
I had a good feeling about this.

Unexpected heartbreaks just happen.
witch!kai parker x femalewitch!reader
A/N: I like to do some hella sad one-shots, so enjoy because I'm going to do some more, maybe even more than smut. If anyone wants part 2, let me know. (this imagine is also apart of a book I'm currently working on in wattpad but with less details.)
▪︎ warning: gets heated but no smut
The surroundings of Y/N was never really supportive towards her studying for college. What I mean by surroundings, is the supernatural world revolving around her, her powers being used for. It was terrific that she should be worried about dying any second instead of being at her dorm and studying.
Most of the time it was like that for her.
She was a witch, a newbie witch, but she came from a strong family line that made her easily do spells that were used by her friends. What I mean, is that each one of her friends asks her but never let's her accept the offer or not. They always assume it's a yes.
It was tiring, better yet, exhausting. But one siphon witch was keeping Y/N going, and that was Malachai Parker.
He was an individual whom she hated at first, but slowly and slowly, their friendship began, but a burning desire was hidden in their own minds.
Laughter was all you could hear when you left these two in the same room, he was happy he had someone who truly gave him a chance without neglecting him.
They could always feel the tension whenever they were in the same room, him staring at her with parted lips and dark blue eyes, as if he has never seen a woman in his life. It was intimidating that he made her feel like the only woman alive.
Maybe they did have a sexual desire for one another, but they still had a friendship like no other.
Although, the tension had been going on for a year, none of them uttered a word but they both knew they wanted each other. The perfect Y/N always pretended she never liked him and he would play along, but he knew.
That was until one day Y/N was trying to find him to speak to him since no one figured where he was after the merge, just to find him swirled with emotions, mostly it being sadness. Feelings were exposed, hearts were spilled, and two souls have finally found each other.
Now they're together, the both of them being very relatable on some specific things. And that made them addicted to the other, because they understood each other in a way no one could.
"Can you at least state 2 facts about mesopotamia?" Y/N's all time favorite person asks her, interrupting her thoughts.
They were both in her dorm studying for an upcoming exam, he decided to join in and help her.
"The Babylonian law created by King Hammurabi, the Code of Hammurabi, may be the oldest written law in the world." she smiles, victorious when Kai nods in a way to praise her as she tries to find another fact that is buried deep inside of her thoughts.
Kai suddenly began giving her kisses across her neck and her jaw, making sure it was slow so she could feel every nerve hitting her with every kind of feelings. His lips was finally nibbling and making sure to leave a mark while waiting for her next answer.
"Fuck, Kai." She let's out a whimper at the sudden action. She immediately grabbed his other free hand for support, the cold rings giving it an immaculate feeling.
He tuts in disappointment but inside of him he felt his stomach churn at her words, "That's not the answer, sweetheart. I don't think your professor would be very fond of that. It's very inappropriate." He tries to stiffen his chuckles as he speaks against her skin, sending waves through her entire body. She turns to give him a glare, and that erupted the laughter that he wanted to stiffen so badly, his body shaking with laughter.
After a few seconds he stops laughing, his eyes darkens from his thoughts. He bites his lip as he eyes her entire body and begans running his finger slowly on her thigh, the cold metal rings sending a huge amount of pleasure that was unexpected. She gasps, trying to focus.
He then starts nibbling on her skin again, and that made Y/N grips his other hand even tighter, "Go on." He mumbles against her skin.
"T–The Sumerians are often credi–credited with inventing the wheel. At the center of each m-major city was a temple to the city's god c-called a ziggurat, shit–" She moans when he hits a sensitive spot.
He let's out a chuckle, "Shit? I don't think that should be in the answer." He wonders and she gives him a half–hearted glare.
"Joking. Im proud of my nerd." She turns around, almost offended by his remark.
"Shut up." She places her hand on the nape of neck and adjusts herself by hugging her legs around his waist before pulling him into a languid, heated kiss.
They pull away after, their forehead resting on the other. She plays with his hair and he hums silently, "I'm so glad you're here. I was really stressed." Y/N admits, which makes Kai grin widely.
"I'm always here for my girl." He smiles at her, tucking her hair behind her ears.

My thoughts were interrupted by Caroline, her adorable innocent tone cutting the depths of the memory that had happened 2 days ago.
"You've been staring at the floor for 45 minutes, which leads me to believe that something is wrong." Caroline immediately brings a shot up to her lips and drinks it like nothing.
"Just a little upset." I shrug, the upsetting apart was a huge emphasis on the upcoming exams.
"Is it because Kai is speaking to that girl over there?" She points towards the left and I roll my eyes. I forgot I was at a party.
"Kai speaking to another girl? I don't think so–" I turn around with the widest smile ever expecting that Caroline saw someone else or was playing around.
But she didn't see someone else and she wasn't playing around. She was telling the truth.
My smile quickly disappears and I place my cup of coffee on the table, upset. I knew Kai wouldn't do anything to me, but it wasn't a sight I'd see everyday. I place a hair strand behind my ear and lean to hear them but I couldn't.
"exauditum eos." I whisper and look down to make it not obvious that I'm overhearing them.
"What are you doing–" I immediately hold my index finger to Caroline to signal her that I was using a spell that could overhear them.
"You caught my eyes two weeks ago when I saw you in town, but I've never seen such a gorgeous guy like you. Are you even from here?" The woman asks kai as her breasts almost touch him.
I bite my inside lip to stop myself from crying, wondering why he was accepting that behavior from a woman, especially a very attractive one. I could feel jealousy running through my blood. One feeling that I couldn't really push, was sadness. She had the face of a model, her tight black dress showing her figure that I always dreamed of having. She was everything I wasn't and that made me furious because I knew I could never give Kai what she had.
He chuckles as if he didn't have a problem with how close they were. They were too close and he was accepting it. "Gorgeous guys come and go, sweetheart. So no, not from here." He bites his lip as he looks at woman with no interest. I still felt jealousy although he was not interested at all.
I clench my teeth as I cringed at what he had said. Sweetheart. He always calls me that ironically.
She looks at him through her eyelashes with a lip bite, "I feel very connected to you."
I felt like I was going crazy once I saw that she was leaning. How could Kai not see that she was trying to kiss him? Was he okay with it?
Her lips met his, and I could see that his eyes widened and that his body froze. My heart shatters at the sight as I heard Caroline slightly gasp, "Are you okay?" She grabs my hand, concerned. I nod and let out tears but I quickly wipe them away, my hand grasping the coffee angrily.
Kai stood there awkwardly as I see that he gulped, his apple bone bouncing as he does so.
Kai was a heretic so I assumed he heard Caroline, because he disconnects the kiss, wipes his lips, and turns to look our way.
He sees my teary eyes and vulnerable soul in pain. I knew it was also his fault for even leading the woman that was infront of him. I felt like a foul at the moment for trying to justify that he wasn't interested, when clearly he could've avoided it if he never flirted back.
I shake my head in disbelief, "Hey it's okay Y/N–" Caroline begins to speak.
I turn around to look at the floor, "uri venis." I mutter as tears fall down my face, Caroline frowning and placing her thumb up to remove the tear.
The girl standing with him started clenching her teeth and shut her eyes, whining in pain from the spell i had just said. The sounds she let out bought me satisfaction, although I was still angry. It wasn't even her fault, she doesn't know he has a girlfriend. Yet, I wanted to take my anger out on anyone, because this wasn't the first time this happened. It was the second time. Maybe because I wasn't good enough or pretty enough. Either ways, Jealousy and hurt was all that was coursing through my blood.
I turn around with teary eyes to see Kai concerned for her, grabbing her before she could fall to the floor. He turns around to me as he pleads with his eyes for me to stop.
I stop the spell because I felt pity at the moment. I grabbed the purse that was on the table, as I heard Caroline say something.
"Hey don't leave–"
I angrily storm out as tears fell, my heels clicking on the floor as I walk too fast. My breathing increased and the sobs were louder, all I could feel was the walls getting tighter around me.
I hear the door swing very fast, and I knew who it was.
"Hey Y/N–" I still walk fast towards my car, not acknowledging him at all.
"Even when you're wearing heels you're veryyyyy fast. Please wait up my feet is cramping. Did you put a spell on my feet?" I hear Kai once again but I avoid him.
I quickly open the door to the front car seat, about to get in but Kai slams it, "I–"
"How could you let her kiss you?" I turn around to look at him with my puffy red eyes. I swore he let her get too close.
He gulps and sighs, "I didn't kiss her, she kissed me."
"This is the second time, Kai! If this was me in your place, I wouldn't talk to any guy because it's always going to be you." I give him a pointed glare, not done with my words.
"And you let her get close to you. As much as i would love to defend you, God, I can't! I can't just excuse your actions in all times because I'm in love with you!"
I've never expected myself to say the L word although I just did, I could see that he froze once I said it, but I didn't care if he says it back or doesn't, cause this was the last time i was going to be having a conversation with him. I look down as I back away, I felt ashamed for no reason.
"Hey..." He starts as he tries to get close to me but I felt weak at this moment.
I knew Kai wasn't capable of love, so at this point I had to push him away because I was afraid of rejection.
"No don't even start, Kai. The same thing happened a month ago, and I don't want it to happen again." I try to stop myself from breaking down, reffering to another girl kissing him and the exact thing happening, "You could've avoided this."
His eyes were teared up, a sight you wouldn't see on the Malachai Parker which truly hurt me so much, "Please don't say it."
My breathing increases and so does tears, "You think I want this? I don't. Because believe it or not, you're the only one who I truly felt connected with."
His hands goes to my cheeks and I wanted so badly to stand my ground, because I didn't wanna break especially infront of him, but all that was heard from me was the sobs the elected out of my throat painfully.
"I'm so sorry. I am so sorry." He chokes from the tears, "But you're the only one who never gave up on me. You made me feel." His lips quiver, my hands immediately goes up to the hands that was holding my cheeks so delicately, a touch that electrified me in every way.
I sigh deeply, looking up at his blue eyes that were light more than ever, yet, the emotions that swirled in there was pain that made him want to fall until he reached the ground, the only person that could save him was me.
"You hurt me, twice. My jealousy isn't going to do you any better, Kai." My voice wasn't audible at the moment.
"I-I will never hurt you again. I would rather sit by your side and never leave you. I care about you, I–" He stops for a second, his eyes going back and forth to my right and left eye, "I love you. I love you so much. You taught me what that was."
My eyes widen and my lips part, like I was relieved that he had finally told me that loved me, but another feeling overpowered every feeling I had towards him. I was hurt, really hurt that Kai was finally capable of feeling towards someone but I was the one to break him, because truly, I don't wanna get hurt again. Seeing a woman truly beautiful twice kissing him, made my heart ache. I knew truly I could never offer the beauty that they had.
I shake my head, "You don't mean that." I whisper. I wanted him to do anything, like laugh at my face and say that he actually didn't mean that and then he leaves for good, I wanted it to be false so leaving him wouldn't hurt. I wanted to believe that it was a lie.
"But I do. I would kill for you. Hell– I would die for you. What does this mean to you, Y/N?" He gulps as he waits for my answer, but I truly don't know how to answer to this.
His eyes searches mine deeply like he wanted to find the answers but also wanted them locked away.
I was going to say it either ways, although I could hear my heart shatter everytime I repeated the words in my mind.
"I'm sorry, but it's over." It was like a huge meteor had hit me right in the chest, because I could see Kai looking down in defeat. Although I couldn't see him, I heard him so vividly. Silent sobs escaped his throat, and I take his hands off of my face.
"I need you in my life." It was as if he was trying to give me a message that he'd fall without me.
"I'm sorry– I'm so sorry but I can't do this. I can't get hurt again." I immediately open the door to my car, shutting it after.
I start the engine as angry tears stung my cheeks, but looking at him in the rear view of the car, he looks like he had lost something so valuable.
It was the first time I had put myself first. No one deserves having a person as their only happiness either ways.

Can you make a story about Kai and reader being trapped in the prison world? She hesitates to leave without him when she has a chance and he tries to find out why, but she doesn't get why either. She figures she'll find another way out somehow .
I can't leave without you, alright? | Kai Parker x Reader
my masterlist ↪M A S T E R L I S T
warnings ↪i don't exactly understand this but i'll try my best to interpret it, thanks for your request :)
Tumblr media
"Malachai Parker, tonight, Lunar Eclipse. Our ticket out of here." I yell as I walk in through the doors of the house I once lived in 40 something years ago before I was banished with my best friend.
"well I can't exactly go." Kai mumbles "what why?" I ask him "I haven't exactly siphoned anything in years, therefore no powers and you know that I can't leave without magic." he mumbles munching on a carrot.
"well remember where Jo hid her powers, it was in some object in your old ghastly house." I narrow my eyes to my best friend, he had been trying to siphon magic for years "besides you know if you can't leave I can't leave. We've been here together for years. I've missed years and years, I'll do it again." I mumble sitting down next to him.
"you can leave without me." he stares at me, I shake my head "far be it from me to cause a problem when you do finally make it out another 45 years later. I'd wait." I clear my throat.
"fine don't leave, but when the lunar eclipse passes do not cry to me." he crosses his legs "fine" I say opening an outdated magazine "fine" he says opening another magazine.
Moments pass of pure silence and I was so sure that a hint of magic was in the air because Kai managed to keep quiet for more than ten minutes before speaking, "why won't you go without me?" he asks turning his head to look at me.
"what?" i respond "you've had so many open doors, so many opportunities to leave me behind. Why haven't you?" he asks staring into my soul.
"don't be weird, i don't know." I say getting weirded out by his genuine concern for me not leaving him behind "I mean it's a genuine question, y/n." he shrugs finally breaking his stare.
"no you're weirding me out, i don't know kai." rushing out of the room.
"I'll find us another way out of here." I mumble reading through the left over grimoire's of Kai's parents.
"there has to be something for you to harness enough magic without siphoning from me." I say flicking through the pages "you think in the 47 years that we've been here, I didn't check through this. Once, twice, a hundred and seventy two times." Kai leant against the doorway.
"Well maybe you didn't read in between the lines, you're smart when it comes to everything except reading." i look back up at him as he looks taken back by what I just said "ouch" he says sarcastically.
"So are you going to confess your undying love for me yet? Is that why you won't leave?" he asks me "No i quite like looking 23 at the age of 64 so maybe thats the reason" I glare at him before flicking through another grimoire.
"y/n." he says as I block out his voice, his muffled voice says my name 7 more times before he touches me bringing me back to the real world. Or this world.
"why is it so important that I leave with you?" he says "Kai leave it alone." I disregard his question "Answer me!" He demands "Or What? You'll kill me with your magic?" I answer him back "No but I can just as easily kill you with the string of your necklace." he retorts.
"You wouldn't kill me Malachai. Not After all we've been through." I roll my eyes "Look We'll find a new way and if that doesn't work then we wait, again and look for your stupid magic otherwise one of us is dying before the other gets out." I point to him.
"and if you don't like that Idea, I don't really care because we are leaving together." I say to him before storming off... once more.
Racing around the house trying to find any answer, any at all to get out of this rotting prison but nothing.
I had never thought about why I wanted Kai to come with me, he was the reason I was in here and although that never occurred to me much. I didn't really care the only thing I thought about was getting us out of here, together.
Together? I didn't know why I wanted both of us to leave, I mean he was a raging psychopathic killer and I was just there to witness it. So I really had no clue as to why I wanted him out too.
"Why can't you just answer me?" he asks "I can't leave without you, alright? get off my back, jeesh Malachai." I raise my arms in disgust stomping my way up the stairs.

New Rules - New Lease on Life, Chapter 3 (Kai Parker Fanfiction)
Hello everyone! Welcome to Chapter 3 of my Kai Parker BDSM Fanfiction, New Lease on Life.
If you haven’t yet, please read this details post. It’s very important to understanding the universe I’ve created for this series.
This is NOT meant to be read as a standalone one-shot. If you haven’t, please check out the previous chapters here:
Chapter 1 ~ Chapter 2
Tumblr media
*not my gif
Word Count: 4,014
Pairings: Heretic!Kai x Heretic!Reader; bestfriend!Damon x reader (platonic); Stefan x Caroline; Damon x Elena
Proofreader: @socio-kai-path1972 (my savior <3)
I don’t like writing with Y/N in the place of character names, but this IS a reader insert fanfiction. I use Rosalie Wilson as a placeholder. Use Rose/Rosalie as a substitution for Y/N.
Warnings: SMUT (A good 50% of this is just smut; minors stay out, please!) and mature language
Warnings (cont.): BDSM themes, Daddy kink, Dom!Kai, bondage, sensory deprivation, oral sex (male receiving), unprotected sex (be safe, everyone!), and minor flogging
In this story, I really do my best to illustrate what a true BDSM relationship is like as opposed to what mainstream media paints it to be. That picture is abusive and controlling, whereas true BDSM is anything but. I hope this piece is both enjoyable and enlightening. If anyone is interested in talking about it with me, my inbox is open :)
The story begins now. Thank you for reading!
~~~
Kai’s POV:
The bacon crackled in the pan, fuming the air along with the fresh, dripping coffee. Yesterday had been quite the day for Rosalie with her asshole of an ex coming back and me screwing her to the point of unconsciousness. I let her sleep, still internally smirking about how she looked under me last night. After holding her and the memories close all through the night, my dreams did not torment me for the first time in years.
Things would be very different now. I did worry that I came on too strongly – that she was in a vulnerable place and I took advantage of that – however unintentional it may have been. Rose entered my life like a storm, disintegrating every broken piece of me before making me whole again.
The Kai Parker I once was is now dead. The Malachai I am now belongs to her and only her. I want her and only her. I could only hope she needed me as much as I needed her. Rosalie’s submission meant a great deal to me, more than I could ever explain. I didn’t only crave to have her sexually; I required all of her: body, mind, heart, and soul. This was a mission I wouldn’t undertake lightly.
Rosalie had shared her preferences with me in passing, and I remember the rush they sent through me even then. That’s how I knew how to claim her. That’s how I knew just what to say and do to make her mine. I must learn what it means to be a Dominant… what it means to be her Dom, and the only one who could teach me was her.
Just as I had finished plating our breakfasts, Rosalie emerged from our bedroom. Her hair was tousled from sleep, and the sweatshirt of mine she stole fell just to her knees. I watched her silently as she tamed her locks into a bun. The simple moment brought a smile to my face. Why? Because it was perfection. Nothing was missing, and everything was complete.
My eyes tracked her every move, and it was comforting beyond reason. With a silent embrace as a morning greeting, I handed her coffee, not letting her pull away from the kiss I pressed to her lips until I was satisfied. One strand of her hair had escaped its confines, and I brushed it behind her earlobe with the tenderest touch. “How’d you sleep, baby?”
She set the mug aside and wrapped her arms around my waist; I closed my eyes and breathed in her presence. “Very well, thanks to you.” There was a serious conversation to be had. It lingered on the horizon, but it didn’t loom over us. Not yet. For now, I stayed in my little slice of paradise, encasing the pearl I swore to protect.
Rosalie’s POV:
Breakfast was a modest but flavorful fare. Every so often, Kai would find excuses to touch me. I didn’t mind one bit, especially not when he gave up on the excuses and just sat me on his lap. The morning passed calmly and smoothly let time pass. We just enjoyed each other’s company: talking, laughing, and being enamored with the other. It was near noon when his fingers linked with mine and pulled me in for one short but meaningful peck. “We should talk about us, Rosalie.” I knew this was coming. We both did. I think both of us carried equal apprehension, but this was vital for us. “Yes, we should.”
I moved from his arms then but let my hand linger on his forearm, still maintaining contact with him. The goosebumps forming on his skin transferred onto my own. Kai gently gnawed on his lower lip in anxiety, and I pressed my finger to the upper to get him to stop. “Don’t be nervous. It’s you and me.” Normally, Malachai would take the opportunity to playfully nip my fingertip, but not now.
He took my face in his hands, looking deeply into my eyes to search for the rejection that was nowhere to be found. Didn’t he know he had me? Kai had me since the first time he touched me. “Rosalie… I know I’m flawed. I’ve destroyed things, and I’ve killed. I’ve laughed and left someone behind to suffer.
“You have to understand I’ve changed. I thought I had changed months before you entered my life, but then you came in and morphed me into someone I have yet to know.” My eyes softened, nearly tearing up at the raw emotion and trust he exuded. “I don’t love who I am, and I don’t pretend to be faultless. I may be the most flawed man to ever exist, but I yearn for you regardless. I probably don’t deserve y–”
My mouth met his, gently stealing the self-deprecating words away. “You deserve everything, Malachai.” I love you. I ached to tell him so, tell him that I had never felt for anyone the way I felt for him. Not once had I adored someone so; had it not been the world’s most perfect feeling, it would’ve been frightening. “I’d spend the rest of my eternal existence proving that to you.”
It was Kai’s turn to shush me, apparently. His kiss was eager yet gentle as if he found me to be a precious jewel to cherish. “I want every part of you, Rosalie Wilson. I want every part that I know and every part that I’ve yet to meet.”
Kai’s POV:
Truer words had never been spoken. If heaven existed for creatures like me, I had attained it now. Though I didn’t know her whole story, I knew the soul in front of me was marred. Her scars mirrored my own. I couldn’t dissolve them, but I could make sure she was never reminded of the agony. “Please stay with me, Kai. Don’t ever leave. That’s all I can ask of you.”
“Never.” She laughed in pure joy. Her fingers carded through my hair lovingly, and I kissed away the tear of happiness trailing down her cheek. Then, her smile flickered for a fraction of a second. We were too close for me to miss it. “And… if you get tired of me, just tell me. I’ll leave you be. I promise.”
“I won’t ever tire of you, baby.” I nearly laughed when she suggested such a thing, but that would’ve been quite harmful. Here, she lay the broken part of her soul in my hands. It was an honor to hold. “I need you. I need you like I need my heart to survive. You are my heart now.” She grabbed the Afghan that remained draped on the couch and threw it around us both, creating a wall between us and the rest of the world. “And… if you’d have me, I would be incredibly fortunate to be your Kai and Daddy both.”
Rose pressed a lingering kiss to my cheek, staying there and nuzzling into my chest instead. “I don’t want that… I have to have both of you… all of you…” My fingers trailed up and down her arm soothingly before settling on her waist. It wasn’t like I knew how to care for someone, but with her, I didn’t have to try. It came from within me naturally, like it was always meant to be. My lips found her temple, and my hand found hers. I would earn her love and would never, ever take it for granted.
One month later…
“You sure Elena won’t mind you dancing with me?” Damon twirled Rosalie around the floor, and I was being horrible about giving them privacy. In my defense, as a vampire, I couldn’t exactly control my supernatural hearing. “Nah, the groom is occupying her attention.” A few feet away from them, Stefan hugged Elena close; I could hear them express gratefulness for each other’s friendship. “Kai, on the other hand, has been failing to hide the glares he’s sending me.”
Sighing softly, I met Rose’s eyes, reading the apology in them. My lips pressed together in an expression akin to a grimace, but I nodded. “You know… I’ve never seen you this happy. Ever.” Then, she beamed. It was brighter than any twinkling lantern decorating the field. “I’ve never been this happy, Damon.” The smile drew me to her like a magnet. “Excuse me. I’d like to dance with my girlfriend now.” Damon bowed dramatically and put Rose’s hands in mine.
Rosalie’s POV:
I bit the inside of my cheek, swallowing the teasing comment I’d pay for later. Kai pulled my body against him possessively, and I went on my toes to steal a kiss. He deepened the kiss much more than I intended; his arm wrapped around my waist as he dipped me backward. I didn’t know how long the kiss lasted, but when he finally moved to rest his forehead against mine, I was breathless. “I make you that happy?”
With love in my eyes, I agreed. “Of course you do, Malachai. You are my…” I couldn’t think of a word that properly encompassed what he meant to me. Partner, boyfriend, even soulmate seemed too insufficient. “I know. You’re mine, too.” We’d discovered we didn’t need words to talk, not when we were each other’s missing half. He looks at me like I was the only girl in the world. He makes me feel seen…
“I choose you, Rosalie. I will always choose you.” I didn’t question the words once. It wasn’t just a matter of trust. The words came from such a genuine, untouchable place that I knew he’d keep his promise for all of eternity. “That’s all I want.” I took his hand, kissing every fingertip slowly in subjection and reverence. A shiver ran through him when our gazes interlocked.
It was the night after we promised ourselves to each other. Both of us were serious about our relationship, every facet of it. That night, we stay side by side, laying bare our deepest needs and desires to each other. “Did you choose a safe word, princess?”
“Cupcakes.” He chuckled and pressed a soft smooch into my hair. “Cupcakes it is. And what are Daddy’s rules for you?” His new rules were most enticing. Some were rather naughty, like no making him jealous on purpose, no touching myself without Daddy’s permission, and no orgasming without approval.
Others were about caring for myself, and those moved me deeply. I was expressly forbidden from speaking negatively about myself, nor was I to blame myself for anything that happened in my past. Daddy ordered me to take care of the one most precious for him, and if I failed, that too would earn a punishment.
I detailed them just as he asked, swelling with pride when I earned a “Good girl” and kiss in response. When we were together and alone, he was my Daddy… my protector, my confidant, and the one who loved me beyond limits. When we were in public, he was my Kai… my lover, my dear friend, and my partner. I was blessed to have found him.
Malachai. My angel.
We drove back home in comfortable silence. Kai controlled the wheel with one hand and kept the other on my thigh. The closer we got to our home, the more he shifted into his dominant persona. Kai’s grip tightened, and his hand inched higher and higher. Just as the car parked, Malachai gazed at me. His eyes scanned over me, his pupils large and dark with desire. Not even bothering to act human, he whooshed to my side of the car and lifted me in his arms before I had the opportunity to make a sound.
His mouth devoured mine, hot and hungry. The door thrashed against the wall as it swung open, shutting just as harshly once we were over the threshold. Candles artfully positioned our bedroom lit up in unison. The lock cracked so hard I was afraid it broke. The flames of those candles fueled the silencing spell; we both knew we needed it.
Tonight was different, though. Instead of throwing me down and ravishing me, Kai stopped and set me down, making me stand in front of him as he sat on the bed. “Take that dress off, baby. Daddy would like a show.” A sharp inhale caught in my throat, making him smirk. “Oh, I could, but I don’t really want to.” Total and absolute lie. I was inviting a punishment; we both knew it.
“Oh, you don’t want to? Hmm. Well, then I guess…” Kai snapped his fingers and made his suit disappear, leaving him only in his briefs. He lounged back on the bed, and my teeth dug into my lower lip as my body hummed with lust. “I guess you don’t get to touch me tonight, either.” He laughed at my predicament. “Don’t bother challenging Daddy, love. You know you’ll lose. You want to lose.”
Growling quietly under my breath, I all but pounced on him. He caught me masterfully and had me in his control within seconds. “That was quite disobedient, darling. I hope you’re ready for what I have in store for you.” One more snap and my dress disappeared, revealing the black lace he’d never seen on me before.
“Oh, fuck me…” Daddy nipped my collarbone, and my eyelids fluttered with excitement. “What’s the matter, Daddy? Too much?” I swallowed back my grin, knowing how he must be aching to take me. “Too fucking perfect… You know just how to drive me insane, don’t you?” As he spoke, his index finger hooked around the waistband of the new, silken panties, pulling it up and letting it hit my skin with a satisfying smack. My gasp rang out into the room, and Daddy clutched my hair. “You’re my good little girl, aren’t you?”
He had me then. He knew he had me. I was the subject of his whims, the object of his every want. I loved every second of it. “Yes, Daddy.” He hummed in approval, his nose trailing along the curve of my neck. “Is my kitten nice and obedient now?” I nodded wordlessly, too distracted by his impatient hands cupping my breasts. “Don’t think you’re getting out of your punishment though, baby girl.”
A whimper slipped out, one of equal desire and trepidation. “For now, you’re going to please me.” I lay back on the bed. “Until I think of exactly what your punishment will entail, I am in your hands. Make me feel good, baby girl. However you want. When I say enough, you stop immediately.” I eagerly obeyed, moving to kiss him as I straddled his waist. My fingers trailed down his chest, admiring the iron planes of his body. My mouth followed, laying kiss after kiss on his burning flesh and inching closer to his erection.
I visibly saw him harden, and it enticed me, drawing me in. Deciding to give him a little of what he gave me, his briefs vanished with my own magic and I enjoyed his breath of surprise. One touch to his aching cock and he jumped at the sensation. My tongue flicked out teasingly, touching just the head. Daddy was done giving me control, then.
His fingers laced themselves in my hair and he brought my mouth down onto him. I took it readily, suckling on it, desperate to make him groan. With every movement, I pressed my lips into him, tightening the suction around him. He didn’t groan – he essentially snarled, the sound weighing of longing and rapture. My hands were not idle; they, too, put in the work to pleasure him. One stroked the portion of his sex my mouth didn’t envelop, and the other dug into his side.
Daddy made me suck his cock until he came, his orgasm swimming down my throat. No drop went to waste, even as he released my hair and let me rise. My tongue licked every inch of his still-hard cock clean, moaning as Daddy’s endorphins spilled into the air and seeped into me. “Such a good girl…” His eyes were tight slits as he looked down on me. The candlelight reflected in his irises, making the blue-grey tint gleam of gold. “Since you did such an excellent job pleasing Daddy, I promise to make your punishment a bit more enjoyable.”
He summoned a dark red, velvet blindfold from our bedside table. My eyes widened rather than shut in anticipation. We had never done this before. It was one thing to consciously decide to submit to him; it was another to have so much faith in him that I’d give away my sight. I wanted to try it, of course, and I wouldn’t dare let my Dom down. But it was on the verge of my capability. I was more scared of disappointing him than anything, of not being able to make it through.
He knew me better than I knew myself, and my heart betrayed my emotions, racing wildly and giving me away. “Baby girl… Look at me.” His eyes, still molten with passion, were deeply understanding. “This is new, I know. You’re safe with me, I promise. I will never hurt you, nor will I ever do anything more than you can handle. If you truly don’t want this, I won’t ever force you.”
My throat closed in hesitation, but I nodded in consent. The thought of being entirely at his mercy was more desirable than it was terrifying. “I-I want to try, Daddy.” He beamed with pride, kissing my lips with all his love as a reward. “You won’t regret it, baby, I promise. Do you recall your safeword?”
“Yes, Daddy. My safeword is cupcakes.” Slowly, Daddy shifted us so I lay beneath him. He peppered soft kisses all over my face. “Good girl. If you’re scared or not enjoying it anymore, tell me right away. Don’t hesitate to use your safeword, princess. I would never, ever be upset with you for needing it.” Once he confirmed my consent, Daddy gave me one more loving kiss. His lips molded to mine perfectly, and the velvet covered my eyelids.
He was sure to keep his hands on me, always letting me know where he was. “You’re doing such a wonderful job for me, baby.” When his weight shifted off the bed momentarily, the fear heightened. Daddy returned quickly and let me feel the clinking metal handcuffs. “Daddy will handcuff your ankles to the top headboard now, baby.” My ankles?
He lifted my legs upwards slowly, trailing kisses up and down my calves. The cuffs gave a gratifying click, and my legs stretched in near pain. It was a delicious feeling. There was nothing else in the world. I was with someone who cherished me. Daddy’s next kiss only solidified my thoughts. “Oh, you’re doing so, so well...”
When the smooth leather of the flogger dragged across my bare stomach, I jolted in surprise. This was yet another instrument we’d use for the first time. “Normally, your punishment is 15 spanks with Daddy’s hands, but we’re going to try something different tonight. I will give you six hits with this flogger, no more or less. You will count each one just as you’re supposed to. Tell Daddy you understand, princess.”
“I understand, Daddy.” The first unexpected crack of the flogger fell against my right thigh, making me squeal in surprise. “O-one! Thank you, Daddy.” His hand, cooled by magic, rested against the assailed flesh, soothing me. “Good, darling. Keep going.”
The second fell upwards, slashing across my thinly covered breasts. “Two! Thank you, Daddy.” Daddy wasn’t a fan of the lingerie in the way, and he tore both the bra and panties from my body impatiently. My skin burned, each burn traveling to my dripping sex. I can do this. I can. I can’t. I can. I can’t.
My wondrous punishment carried on. I couldn’t see when each hit would come, and the anticipation was torturous. Each sharp sting brought liquid heat slathering over me. I could think of nothing else. Only one blow remained… until it didn’t. The flogger cracked against my soaking folds, and I screamed. Tears welled up in my eyes, wetting the velvet blindfold, but I still remember to complete my task: “Six… Thank you, Daddy…”
Daddy cooed in my ear, whispering words of encouragement. “You’re done, baby girl. It’s over now. Daddy is so, so proud of you.” I mewled weakly, my arms wrapping around him, moving blindly. A kaleidoscope of emotions overcame me. Pride. Pain. Relief. Lust. Love. Most of all, though, I felt free. In Daddy’s presence, nothing could truly hurt me. He would only love me beyond anything. Though I was bound beneath him, I found strength in my submission.
Daddy unlocked my restraints, gingerly bringing my legs back down. The blindfold, too, was removed, and he kissed my wet eyelids tenderly. “Would you like Daddy inside you, baby girl?” Yes. More than anything. Please, Daddy. My voice was far too taken tonight, so I reached for his cheek. My palm glowed red – the mark of a siphon’s powers – and I passed the message to him so.
He took great care when entering me then. I was so needy and so, so wet. Daddy was trying not to hurt me, but I craved more. “Daddy, please just take me. I’m yours. Please Daddy, please, please, please…” He needed no more encouragement. Slowly but steadily, he drilled into me faster and faster. My body trembled, and he swallowed my groans in a deep kiss. Our tongues twined together, our moans melting into the others.
Daddy’s cock throbbed inside me, vibrating against my g-spot, and I fell. I fell hard off of the cliff that was my ecstasy, knowing my Daddy would be there to catch me. My climax brought about his, then. His cum coated my walls, spreading deeply upwards. Our languid kiss continued, neither of us having enough of the other. It was softer now. Powerful yet serene. It was akin to the kiss of life partners – the kiss merging two souls together.
Kai’s POV:
From now until the end of time, I would question this reality. A reality where I had her simply couldn’t be true. As gently as possible, I carried my precious Rose to the bathroom. Her heartbeat brought me great solace. It was the sound of her blood coursing through her veins. It was the sound of life.
The warm water rained down in the shower, and when I set her down, her legs buckled gently. “I’ve got you, you’re okay. Just lean on me, baby girl. Daddy’s got you.” Her body pressed against mine, and I petted her hair lovingly. Rosalie nestled into my touch, her eyes closed. She, too, needed to feel me, needed to know I was here and that this was real.
I ran a sponge against her skin, brushing away the remnants of our lovemaking and calming her body. I couldn’t help but kiss her again and again: her cheeks, her nose, her shoulders, her lips…
“I… Please don’t leave me, Daddy. Please. I need you. Never, ever leave me. Please…” My baby begged me over and over, and my heart positively broke. Once the rushing endorphins left her, they left a wave of anxiety in their wake. I had the sinking suspicion that she meant more than me leaving her romantically, but I would let that be. For now, I continued kissing her, uttering the words I had never said before. “I love you, Rosalie. I swear to love you until the world comes to an end or our souls disintegrate. I will be with you for as long as we should live, and much longer than that.”
Love was something I never believed myself to be deserving of, much less capable of. However, as the soothing rush of the shower washed over us, I knew that I would love this fragile, strong, brave, resilient, and imperfectly perfect girl now and forever.
“I love you, too, Malachai.”
👻13 Days of Halloween: Day 10
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Prompt: “How do you ACCIDENTALLY become the leader of a ghost army?” “I don’t know, long story”
Pairing: Kai Parker
Gender: Neutral          Triggers: Violence, blood, torture
Theme: Mostly angst with a little humor/fluff at the end.
Note: I haven’t seen much of TVD with Kai in it, so I may not be the best at writing his character + I don’t know/remember if he was ever a “good guy” and I also can’t remember how much magic he actually had, so, yeah...just go with it
Tumblr media
Ghosts. Why was it always ghosts? You wondered as you faced the crowd of angry spirits staring you down. Anytime it was vampires, werewolves, or witches that were trying to take over the town you always had the jump on them. But never with ghosts, they always seemed to...well, appear out of nowhere.
You looked around, seeing an empty house for sale you quickly sprinted inside, locking the door and running up the stairs, dialing your brothers number.
Damon stared Kai down with a frown, debating whether or not to kill him or listen to him “Why are you telling us this?”
“Well” Kai began “We’ve had a fairly rocky relationship, and I thought warning you about this might give me a few good guy points” he shrugged “Believe me or not, those witches are sending an army here to deal with you”
“So it wouldn’t have anything to do with your crush on Y/n?” Caroline broke in
“I never said that it didn’t” he smirked.
Damon looked at Stefan, just as Stefans phone began to ring, taking it out he answered it, your voice audible immediately “Stefan! Somethings going on, there’s a crap ton of angry ghosts stomping through town, some of them were definitely not happy to see me”
Everyone was listening intently, worried for your safety. Even Kai found his heart to be beating much faster. He had been hoping you would be here when he arrived. No such luck. For either of you.
“Y/n, where are you!?” Stefan asked as all of them began making there way from the house.
“I’m at-” your voice broke off when a loud bang was heard.
“Y/n? Y/n?!” Stefan called your name desperately, he looked at the others “Look everywhere” they all nodded as they all went separate ways, leaving Kai behind.
You dropped your phone when the door flew open, almost falling from it’s hinges. You fell into a defensive position, knowing they would try to kill you. Three familiar witches walked into your room, all three of which you, Damon and Stefan had killed months prior. “Hello Y/n” the one you had killed said, venom dripping from her voice “I told you we’d be back for you”
“What happened to the Earth needing to stay in balance? That doesn’t happen when you come back from the dead”
“No, but it will be back in balance soon enough, after we kill you and your friends” the other said.
“We killed you once, we can do it again”
They all smirked before they lifted their hands towards you. Your head filled with an immense pressure causing you to groan in pain, trying to fight through it you lunged towards them, but were thrown back into your wall. Everything went dark.
-
Kai sauntered into the large broken down house, immediatley met with a group of witches, their bewildered stared made him chuckle “Ladies” he greeted.
“Malachai Parker” the head of the group spoke, walking up to him “What brings you here?”
He chuckled “Oh, ya’ know, something about those ghosts wandering around town killing a bunch of people. Nice spell work by the way”
She smiled back at him “Thank you. Would I be being to hopeful to believe you are here to help us destroy the Salvatores and their friends?”
Kai audibly sighed “You know...About a month ago, that would be much more tempting than it is now. But now that it is, well now, I’m actually here to stop you”
A quite murmur ran through the group of witches “And why is that may I ask?” the leader asked, trying to hide the anger and fear rising in her tone.
“Well...it wouldn’t be to bad if you were just threatening the Damon and Stefan Salvatore, but you just had to go and threaten Y/n”
“Y/n?!” the witch scoffed “Don’t tell me you’ve befriended them? They are worth nothing to people like us Malachai” she tried to reason with him.
“Y/n is worth something to me” his tone was serious, threatening, almost deadly. He took a step closer, the witches stepped back “Now call of your ghosties that are hunting them down”
She smirked “Sorry Malakai, you’re too late”
Kai’s head twitched to the side, anger rising “What does that mean?”
“Y/n Salvatore is dead”
-
The others ran around the town trying to find you, or  a group of ghosts, to find out where you were. Stefan called Damon on his phone “Have you found y/n?”
Damon sighed “No, I don’t think anyone has. We need to find the witches that started this”
Stefan thought to himself “Didn’t the sheriff say they had reports of some people crashing in that old broken down house on the edge of town?”
“I’ll meet you there” Damon hung up, immediately heading to the house.
They all met up at the house at the same time, ready for a fight. As they barged into the house, they stopped in their tracks. Finding the bodies of almost a dozen witches. All dead, sprawled around the room.
“What the hell?” Damon muttered, looking over at Stefan “Y/n?”
“No” he shook his head “Y/n would never be this...violent” he finished while looking at a decapitated body.
Damon quickly sped through the house before meeting back with the others “Y/n’s not here”
“Then who did this?” Elena asked
“Wait” Caroline spoke up “What about Malachai?”
They all shared looked, agreeing silently that it must have been him. And all of them silently agreeing it was because they took you.
-
You pulled against your restraints, hissing when the vervain doused ropes burned into your skin. You eyed the ghost staring at you, a young boy, didn’t look to be over 18. He looked familiar “Who are you? Or who were you, rather”
“Tobias Stanton”
You frowned “I recognize that name”
“You would. We went to school together about three years ago...I knew there was something about you” he scoffed, shaking his head “A vampire. Crazy”
“Yeah...you died in a car crash like a year ago...why are you here? You had nothing to do with any of this”
“I know. But.” he looked around “I have to do what they ask, I can’t resist. The spell these witches cast brought back anyone that died within the last year, and now they are controlling us.” he frowned “I’d let you out if I could”
Your frown deepened “Thanks Tobias. I’m sorry this is happening to you”
“Would you two shut up with the reunion crap” a man walked in, another one of the witches that had been killed a while back “Get out” he warned Tobias, as he left quickly, giving you one more parting glance.
The witch glared down at you for a moment before splashing you with water from the bottle in his hand, you cried out as the vervain tainted water burned into your skin. He smirked as he pulled another chair up, sitting down on it, right in front of you “As soon as your brothers show up to try and rescue you, we’re gonna kill you. Right in front of them” his smile widened as you glared at him.
The woman from before, the one you killed sauntered in. She motioned her head for the man to leave. As he rose he smiled at you once more before passing the vervain water to her and exiting the room.
She circled you once before stopping in front of you, sitting in the chair. She pulled a knife from her jacket pocket, opening it. She poured some of the water on it. You stared at her, waiting for her to start. She was here for revenge, you had been expecting it. But you decided you weren’t going to give her the satisfaction of screaming.
She only glanced at you for a moment before she shoved the blade into the flesh of your thigh.You wanted desperately to cry out in pain, but you held back. You saw the mix of disappointment and surprise on her face, though only briefly visible before she yanked the blade out.
You looked down at your leg, seeing the blood soaking into your once favorite pair of jeans. You looked back at her, meeting her eyes before she poured some of the vervain water on the fresh wound.
Your hands clenched so hard you felt your nails dig into your palms. But you refused to cry out. She dumped more water onto the blade before dragging it against your cheek, slowly. The hissing sound audible.
It seemed like hours had passed before she rose from the chair, annoyance evident on her face. You were covered in slow healing wounds, blood soaked through your clothes on your legs, arms, chest and stomach. You had yet to make a sound. At this point you were too tired too. But you had to admit the satisfaction of seeing how angry she was getting helped you to hold on.
“Getting bored?” you muttered out.
She rose the knife to your neck “I’m just getting started”
Suddenly a large crash followed by some yells were heard from the other room. She smiled at you “Seems like your brother are here, maybe I’ll have to skip the torture and go straight to the good part, killing you”
“Oh I don’t think so”
Both your heads snapped towards the door. Your eyes widened at the sight of Kai standing in the doorway, covered in blood.
“Kai?” you questioned as the witch stepped forward
“Who the hell are you?”
Kai’s eye grazed over you, seeing all the blood made anger pulse through him. At least he was right, the witch lied when she said you were dead.
“I’m Malachai Parker” he answered
The witch rose her hand to push him back with her magic, but he didn’t budge, he glanced down at his chest and then back at her “Sorry, but your magic wont work on me.” Confusion crossed both your faces. She glanced behind him, towards the other room “Your friends aren’t coming either. They’re gone”
“What do you mean gone?”
“Gone, Ya’ know, poof” gesturing with his hands before he smirked at her “I have control over you all now, and what I say goes” he took a step towards her causing her to step back, “And what I say, is, your gone” he point at her before quietly muttering a few words you couldn't hear, and suddenly the witch was gone. You stared at the place she was just standing before being startled by Kai crouching down in front of you.
You met eyes as he frowned at you, eyeing the blood covering your face before reaching behind you and untying you, as he stood you stared up at him “How did you get control over them?”
“Accident?” he said, unconvincingly.
You knit your brow “Kai, how do you ACCIDENTALLY become the leader of a ghost army?”
“Uh, I don’t know, long story, now come on” he gestured for you to follow him.
As you rolled your eyes at his answer, you stood, immediately staggering from weakness. Kai gently grabbed your arm holding you up. You looked at him, your face only a couple inches apart “Thanks” you muttered.
“You’re welcome” he held onto your arm as you made your way from the room. He pulled out his phone before texting someone.
“What are you doing?”
“Telling your brothers where we are, they’ve been looking for you”
“They didn’t know you were here?”
He shook his head. You stopped, causing him to look at you in concern before you spoke “Why did you come?”
You saw his wrack his brain for an answer before he slowly spoke “For you”
You knew Kai flirted with you, but you never thought his feelings might be genuine enough for him to save your life like this. Much to the annoyance of your brothers and friends, the two of you actually got along. Except when they got hurt because of something he did. But he hadn’t done anything recently. You were convinced he was changing for the better. But you never thought it might be because of you. Which is absolutely was.
“You took over the ghost army and came here just to rescue me?”
“Uh...yes?”
“Why?”
Kai adjusted his stance nervously “I...uh” he sighed “Ugh, feelings are hard”
You chuckled, causing him to raise his brow in confusion “It’s okay Kai, I think I know” you leaned over to him, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek “Thank you”
He stared at you in awe and confusion. He really was bad at this. “You’re welcome, Y/n”
Suddenly the doors flung open, and the two of your turned in shock. You grabbed your side when it pulsed in pain. But a sense of relief washed over you as Stefan and Damon came into view.
“Thank God” Stefan muttered as he pulled you into a gentle hug.
Kai and Damon met eyes, and Damon nodded his head lightly at Kai. A silent thank you. Kai returned the gesture as Stefan began to lead you out of the house, Damon reaching over to support your other side.
As you rounded the corner to leave, you looked back, catching Kai’s eyes. You smiled lightly at him, as he returned the smile. Wondering if the unusually feelings he had for you were not just one sided anymore.
Nightmares and Confessions
You jolted awake, your heart racing as the remnants of a terrifying nightmare clung to your mind. Sweat coated your brow as you tried to calm your breathing, the images of your dream still haunting you. It had been so vivid, so real, and the fear it had instilled in you lingered like a dark cloud.
Taking a deep breath, you pushed yourself out of bed and made your way downstairs, hoping that a glass of water and a change of scenery would help banish the unsettling thoughts from your mind. The house was quiet, shrouded in the stillness of the night, and the dim moonlight filtering through the windows provided the only illumination.
As you descended the staircase, you noticed a figure on the couch, the silhouette of a person with their back to you. Your heart skipped a beat, panic momentarily replacing the remnants of your nightmare. But then, a voice that was all too familiar broke the silence.
"Couldn't sleep, huh?" Kai Parker's voice drawled as he turned to look at you, his blue eyes locking onto yours.
You sighed in relief, recognizing your fellow supernatural companion. "Kai, you scared me half to death," you admitted, a shaky smile forming on your lips.
Kai chuckled, patting the empty space on the couch beside him. "Come, sit down. Tell me about that nightmare. I'm a great listener."
You hesitated for a moment, but then you joined him on the couch. The leather felt cool against your skin, offering a stark contrast to the lingering warmth of your nightmare-induced sweat.
"It was just… a bad dream," you began, struggling to put the haunting images into words. "I was alone, and everything was falling apart. I couldn't save anyone."
Kai's expression softened as he listened, his eyes filled with empathy. "Nightmares can be a real pain," he said, his tone sincere. "But you're not alone, you know. You've got me, and I've got you."
You nodded, grateful for his comforting presence. "Thank you, Kai. It means a lot."
He smiled at you, his gaze lingering a little longer than it should have. "Anytime," he replied, his voice softer. "You know, I've had my fair share of nightmares too."
The conversation shifted, and you found yourself talking more openly with Kai than you ever had before. As the minutes turned into hours, you both shared stories, fears, and hopes. It was as if the darkness of the night had lifted, replaced by a connection you hadn't anticipated.
As the first rays of dawn began to creep through the windows, you found yourself leaning closer to Kai, your eyes locking onto his. The tension between you was palpable, and without another word, your lips met in a kiss that spoke of unspoken desires and the promise of something beautiful amidst the chaos.
In that moment, you realized that sometimes, even in the darkest of times, the most unexpected connections could blossom into something extraordinary. And as the sun rose on a new day, you couldn't help but smile at the beautiful mess that had unfolded between you and Kai Parker.
New Year's Kiss
kai parker x reader
summary: it's tradition for new year's to start with a kiss... just like it's tradition to kiss under a mistletoe. and unfortunately, as traditional as mystic falls is, there's no way out but through
tags: holidays / holiday party, kissing, crushes, mutual pining, kai vs his feelings, soft!kai
word count: 1.4k
a/n: this is a stupid, cheesy, short piece i wanted to write up for the new year. my brain's tired and i highly doubt i'll make it to midnight 💤 (i didn't sleep last night) cheers! 🥂
Tumblr media
The minute you walk into the Salvatores’ kitchen, Caroline makes a friendly joke. “Are you gonna share a New Years’ kiss with your mistletoe buddy, Y/N?”
You feel your face get hot immediately. “I’m not planning on kissing anyone to be honest with you.”
“Aw, but it’s tradition!” Damon enters, holding two bottles of bourbon. “Even if your partner sucks.”
You and Caroline both give him a side-eye. “Be nice,” the blonde says. “But he is partially right, Y/N, it’s tradition. And good luck for the new year.”
“I thought that part only applied to couples.”
“You never know.”
Her vague response has you raising an eyebrow, but she gives no further explanation. Her attention is then taken away by more arriving guests.
“Be honest,” Damon whispers to you, “was he at least a good kisser?”
“I’m not telling you that!”
“Fine, keep your secrets! I’ll find out, eventually, either way.”
“Just…” your eyes land on Caroline’s unattended cookies, “go away!”
“Ooookay! See you later, Y/N.”
Truth is, Kai was a great kisser. One of the most skilled you’ve ever had. But that was a one time thing, and an accident, might you add. He just happened to be standing under the stupid mistletoe, and you just happen to also walk under it to pass by him. But of course you lingered a little too long to give him a smile, and Elena shouted across the room to point out the green, hanging plant above your heads.
And the girls of Mystic Falls, deep rooted in tradition, practically begged you to kiss. Kai’s face was red with blush, but you bet it was more embarrassment than anything. You were wracked with nerves and probably shaking. Still, you think you both pulled it off well. His lips were much softer than you had expected, as were his hands as they cupped your face. He was uncharacteristically gentle, and smiled at you afterwards. You had your hands on his chest and hoped you were at least half as good.
Neither of you spoke after, but he did wink at you on his way out the door that night. Or maybe it was a blink… you’re not sure.
Regardless, you don’t mean to repeat the incident. Especially not during another one of Caroline’s holiday parties.
Because while you loved kissing Kai, it totally ruined everything. You’ve had a crush on him for weeks but have been too shy to say anything. And everyone knows carefully-watched holiday kisses are never a good start to anything more.
You sigh, then stuff a third cookie in your mouth.
“I’d be careful if I were you,” comes Kai’s voice out of nowhere.
You startle, jumping, and hitting your knee on the cabinet door below you. “Shit, you scared me.”
“Sorry.” He nods to the cookies. “Caroline left those out in the open? Bold move.”
“I have to run when I see her coming back.”
“Oh you definitely will. Especially when she sees how many are missing.” He pops one in his own mouth. “Y’know… I don’t even know how I get invited to these types of things.”
“Caroline’s all about bringing people together for the holidays.”
“I see. Well, see you around, Y/N.” This time, he winks and you’re sure it’s a wink. Your knees almost buckle.
“You too.”
For the majority of the night, you manage to avoid Kai. The two of you seem to make laps around the snack table; he stands by it for a good ten minutes, then migrates, and you go stand by it for a while. The whole night, you will yourself to talk to him, but can’t find the confidence. Instead, you lurk from afar, feeling your heart speed up when he smiles, feeling a twinge of sadness when he’s alone.
At eleven thirty, the energy in the mansion seems to rise by ten percent. Sounds and streamers fill the air on top of the already loud voices. Whoever isn’t still talking is dancing in the living room. To the left, Bonnie’s pushing the couch off the edge of the carpet for more room. Elena, meanwhile, has the remote and turns up the tv a few dials. Everyone’s engaged, even Stefan, who was falling asleep a couple minutes ago, but then was forced to his feet by Caroline.
Celebration carries onto the ball dropping before you know it. The ten second countdown has begun and the shouts to find partners grow aggressive. You try to shrink into the corner, waving at Caroline to turn her gaze from you.
6…
5…
A tap on your shoulder surprises you. When you move to face the mysterious person, your throat goes dry at the sight of Kai.
“Hey, mistletoe.”
“Hi.”
“So, um, doesn’t seem like we’re gonna be able to get out of this tradition, either,” he shifts his weight from one foot to the other, “and you’re the closest to my proximity.” That was a lie. The last time you pointed him out, he was all the way across the room. “So would you…”
2…
1…
“Yes.”
He kisses you the instant the television crowd erupts in chants. He’s confident this time; less hesitant, more eager. You cant help but kiss him back with the same passion.
A whistle carries from somewhere in the room, but you both ignore it. Kai joins his other hand with his first, now holding your cheeks with both. You can feel the smile tugging on his lips, lingering, before he finally breaks it off.
“I’ve waited all week to do that,” he admits.
His words take a minute to sink in. “What?!”
He stares back as if trying to read you. You look down, unable to hold his intense eye contact. Kai only seems to take that as an invitation to hook a finger on your chin and lift your head back up.
“I-” his eyes take your breath away and you find yourself incapable of speaking.
“Do you not want it?”
“No, no, I do. I liked kissing you,” you force yourself to confess.
He cocks his head. “So what’s wrong?”
“I’m, uh… did- did you like it?”
He seems a little taken off guard by the question being flipped. He licks his lips. “Yes.”
You look out into the living room and see everyone celebrating. For once, no one’s watching you. “I like you, Kai. Like, I don’t just like kissing you, I like you.”
“Like a crush?” His eyes are amused, yet genuine.
It feels safe enough to continue, “yes.”
He’s quiet for a while. His hand drops your chin to grab a strawberry, and you watch him eat the entire thing before he finally responds. “I have these feelings that I don’t understand. Whenever I see you, or hear your laugh, or even if someone mentions you, I get this weird feeling in my body, like a fluttering. Is that a crush?”
You giggle gently and his eyes snap up to you. “Yes, that sounds like it. At least, that’s what I get when I think of you.”
“So… if two people both have a crush on each other, does that mean they can kiss for real? And not have it be an excuse brought on by two dumb holiday traditions?”
Your heart is racing so fast, it might jump out of your chest. “If they want to, yes.”
“Good. Because I do. I want to kiss you again. Do you?”
“Mhm. But um…”
“What’s wrong?”
“Well sometimes, people with crushes on each other start to date. That means they can kiss whenever they want, and also spend more time together… if you- they want that, too.”
Kai smiles. For a moment, you can’t tell if his questions about feelings were real, or if he were just testing out the waters to get you to admit your own, but you quickly realize you don’t care. Not when he’s looking at you like that.
“I do… want that. I would like to date you, Y/N.”
“I would, too.”
“Really?”
“You have no idea how much.”
“Mhhmm, try to show me,” he says, leaning in to close the gap between your lips.
You laugh, accepting the challenge, and deepen his kiss with your hands gently on his face. A kiss of your own volition, without any pressure. A kiss to start a new relationship in a fresh, new year.
The position you were in right now, of course not literally, was definitely one you didn’t want to be. You wished your brothers would be able to give you more freedom to at least pick who you wanted to date. But no, you were forbidden from dating your boyfriend. At every available moment Damon and Stefan made it now that they were against yours and Kai’s relationships.
Okay so yes Kai has done some bad stuff but wouldn’t you if you practically neglected your whole childhood because you were different? You know you would. And to be fair, if the whole save Elena group would have just let Kai kill his coven then they would have never had any problems. But no, it’s never their fault.
You were in the prison world alongside Damon and Bonnie and that’s how you met Kai. Kai never laid a finger on you, ever. You were curious at first but he simply just smirked at you and said, ‘well i’ve never seen a girl as pretty not only in 18 years, but my whole life.’ To say your face heated up would be an understatement.
You never thought now, months later, you would be here arguing with your brothers. “You can’t be with him he’s a murderer, a sociopath.” Damon’s voice rang through the boarding house and you had to wince at how loud he was being. “What don’t you get?”
“Don’t try to make him look like a monster! We are all monsters in someone’s story!” Now this seemed to shut up your brothers, as if they had just been hit with the hard truth they had never heard before. You could tell it impacted Stefan more by the way he bowed his head down and looked at his shoes with a grim expression.
“I may be old but i’ve never got to experience love. Real true love.” You couldn’t help the tears that filled up your eyes. As soon as one dropped you harshly wiped it away, refusing to show them any sort of weakness. “And that’s because i’ve always been running around after you two. So if anything, you owe me this.”
Not being able to stand both of their presences anymore, you left. You made sure to slam the door on the way out though.
—————
The door of the shared apartment caught Kai’s attention. You felt as if you were dragging your body along as you entered. But when you saw Kai sat down in the chair by the desk, you immediately smiled.
“What did they say this time?” Kai knew the drill. You’d wake up one morning, convince yourself maybe they’d be different today, go see your brothers and then get hate and argued against for your relationship. Each time it happened you managed to accept that maybe they would never accept you and Kai.
Sighing, you threw your keys onto the small coffee table. “The usual.”
Kai looked down before speaking again, only this time more quiet and you could almost hear the insecurity in his voice. “I don’t want your relationship with the only family you have left to be ruined because of me.”
Now, Kai didn’t care for your brothers but he certainly didn’t want you feeling down or upset so he was willing to try to make an effort. It was just a shame your brothers couldn’t do the same.
You walked over to the chair he was sat on and placed the palms of your hands on his cheeks, “Hey, you’re my family too. Don’t forget that.”
Placing a soft kiss to his lips you pulled away and hugged him into your chest. His hands wrapped around your waist whilst you cradle his head to your chest and slowly stroked his back with the other.
Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
"I'm gonna lose my mind before the end of the semester. I just know I am," I said, shaking my head as I put away my laptop and notebooks. My friends and I had been studying in the student union building for the past three hours, and my brain had started to melt around hour two.
"At least that way you'd get to take a leave of absence or something without guilt," muttered one of my friends. We all muttered our exhausted agreement as we started heading home.
"Maybe one of our professors will take pity on us and cancel a test or something," suggested one of my friends. I could tell even she didn't hold out hope for what she was saying, but she said it anyway.
"All we can do is hope," I sighed. "And at least in another few weeks we'll be done with all this nonsense, one way or another."
My friends nodded solemnly as we got out into the brisk night air. We said our exhausted goodbyes and went our separate ways, and I tried to focus on taking deep breaths as I made my way back to my apartment. It had been a long semester, but despite all the tests and work, I was doing better than I had been in a long time.
Over the spring and summer, my former friends in Mystic Falls had killed my boyfriend, Kai Parker. He'd done plenty of terrible things, but there'd been a glimmer of hope for him that I'd been determined to capitalize on after he merged with his brother, Luke. That is, until Bonnie trapped him in a prison world with a bunch of killer heretics, and he came back angrier and more violent than ever.
He did horrible things, and the Mystic Falls gang did horrible things back until Damon killed him at the beginning of the summer.
I'd been devastated. I understood why my friends didn't like him, but he was different around me. I knew there was good in him, and that he was starting to come around. But of course, he never got the chance.
It took me some time to come to terms with the fact that I'd never see Kai again. It still sucked to think about, and even with my busy schedule, he slipped into my thoughts more often than not. But one good thing had come out of the heartbreak: I'd finally decided to move away from Mystic Falls. I ended up in school in the middle of the country, away from all the painful memories, drama, and danger, and I'd almost never been happier.
The only thing that could've made it better was Kai.
I trudged up the stairs to my apartment, incredibly tempted to just pass out in one of the arm chairs in the lobby. Somehow, I resisted the temptation. I managed to make it to my floor, then staggered down the hallway to my door. All I wanted to do was pass out and forget all about the final projects, tests, and papers hovering on my horizon.
I reached into my pocket to pull out my keys, but froze on the spot when I realized my door was already open. It was cracked just slightly, and when I listened, I could hear some noises coming from inside.
Instantly, all thoughts of school disappeared from my mind. I set down my school bag and dug through it to find the stake that I always carried with me.
Just because I left Mystic Falls doesn't mean Mystic Falls left me.
I carefully pushed my door open the rest of the way, then tiptoed inside. As I got closer, I could tell the noises were coming from the kitchen, so I slowly but surely headed that way. I got within a few steps of the doorway when I heard a pot clatter.
"Dammit!" came a voice from the kitchen. I could smell something cooking, like pasta, and the sound of that swearing was hauntingly familiar.
I took up position just outside the doorway of the kitchen, clutching the stake close and getting ready to strike. I took a deep breath, then called out.
"Who's there?"
More pots clattered as the person in my kitchen jumped, then responded.
"Not me."
I froze, trying to process what I'd just heard. It was only two words (three if you counted the curse word), but I could swear I recognized that voice.
It sounded exactly like Kai.
After taking a beat to catch my breath, I swung around the corner. I knew it might not be the smartest move, but I couldn't help it. I had to know. I had to see for myself.
As soon as I made it to the kitchen, I froze. The stake slipped out of my hand and clattered to the ground, but I didn't even notice. Somehow, I was staring at the one and only Kai Parker, standing in the middle of my kitchen (and making an absolute mess) despite being dead.
At the sound of the stake hitting the ground, Kai whirled around to face me. He had a sheepish grin on his face, and most importantly, he looked wonderfully, amazingly alive.
"You weren't supposed to be home yet," he said. "I wanted to surprise you with dinner."
"I... you... Kai, how are you here?" I cried. Every bone in my body screamed at me to run to him, hold him tight, and never let him go, but I made myself pause. With everything that I'd seen and done, I couldn't just believe it so easily. I had to make sure it was really him.
Kai shrugged, still looking a little unsure of himself. "I caught a flight out of the first airport I could get to. Used a little magic to find out where you ended up. Used a little more magic to open your door."
"Kai."
"Alright, alright. Honestly, I'm not sure how I got here. One minute, my life was flashing before my eyes after Damon drove a stake through my heart. The next, I saw a bright light in front of me. It felt like you, calling me home. So I followed it. Next thing I know, I'm waking up in a shallow grave in Mystic Falls."
I just kept staring at him, waiting for more of an explanation, but it didn't come. After a few beats, Kai sighed and rolled his eyes.
"Come on, Y/N, I'm the most powerful heretic there is, but I don't know everything."
"What do you know? What can you tell me to prove to me it's really you?"
Kai looked shocked, like he hadn't even considered I'd ask that question. He paused and thought for a moment, then looked back at me with the same wolfish grin I'd come to love.
"I know that you've got a birthmark shaped like a bunny rabbit on your-"
"Alright alright! I get the point, you're for real!" I yelled, cutting him off. Kai just grinned at me, and as the heat slowly faded from my cheeks, I realized what his remark meant: he was for real.
Kai had actually come back to me.
My face broke into a grin, and I raced across the kitchen without a second thought. I tackled Kai at full-speed, wrapping him in the tightest hug I possibly could and burying my face in his neck. He caught me without faltering a step, putting that superstrength to use.
"I missed you too," Kai chuckled, wrapping his arms tighter around me.
Tears of happiness and relief made their way down my face as I lifted my head and kissed Kai square on the mouth. I trailed kisses over his lips, cheeks, and nose, smiling through the tears at the feeling of having Kai in my arms again.
"Hey, hey. It's okay, sweetheart. I'm right here, and I'm never going anywhere again," he said, rubbing circles on my back and trailing a hand through my hair.
"I missed you so much, Kai," I said, blinking up at him.
"I can tell." He grinned, but it quickly faded as he took in my state again. "I promise, I'll never do this to you again. I'm never going to leave you again, not for anything."
"Wh... what about Damon? And the rest of the Mystic Falls gang?" I choked out. I hated to ask it, but I couldn't really relax until I did. I knew Kai. I knew how much he wanted to get revenge when someone wronged him. It's what escalated everything so terribly the last time in Mystic Falls.
"What about them?" he asked. I could tell he was trying to make light of the situation, but I wasn't having it. I just kept staring at him until he sighed and sobered up. "You don't have to worry about that, Y/N. I'm not doing anything about them. None of them even know I'm alive."
I raised an eyebrow, and Kai continued.
"Look, I'm not going to pretend the thought never crossed my mind. They killed me. I wanted revenge. I thought about everything I could do to them to make them pay, especially as I was digging myself out of that shallow grave. Oh baby, did I get creative."
He smiled to himself, and I frowned. His speech so far was certainly not making me more confident in anything.
"But, but, then I thought about you," he said, clearly reading the expression on my face. "And I thought about... about how much you mean to me. And... honestly, I still don't understand it myself... I walked away. I realized I wanted to be with you... more than I wanted to kill them. Is that weird?"
Just like that, I was crying again.
"No Kai. It's not weird. It's wonderful." I leaned up on my toes and kissed him, lingering a lot longer this time. He hummed and pulled me tighter to him, then deepened the kiss. I ran my hands through his hair and he moaned, but after a minute, I made myself pull away.
"Come on, sweetheart. What'd you do that for?" he muttered, nuzzling into my neck and starting to kiss up and down it.
"Kai, as much as I want to continue this, you're gonna burn my apartment down if we don't deal with the mess on the stove," I said, gently pushing him off me. He stepped back, a sheepish grin on his face.
"I thought it'd be nice to make you dinner to surprise you. It seemed like the kind of thing the guy always does in those romcoms you showed me."
I smiled. "You're better than any of those guys, Kai, I promise. And believe me, you definitely surprised me, even without a nice, fancy dinner."
He smiled and kissed me again, then pulled away and stepped back to give me a clear path to the stove. I quickly took the pot off the heat and turned off the burner.
"What were you even trying to make?" I teased. Kai huffed and elbowed me playfully.
"Fettuccini alfredo. Your favorite," he said.
"I love you, and it's so sweet of you to try, but this is not fettuccini alfredo." I paused, moving around to grab some new noodles from the cabinet. "Don't you have magic or something you could use to make pasta?"
"Yeah, but it didn't seem as romantic."
I smiled and turned back to Kai, taking a moment to appreciate that he was really here and back with me. I kissed him, then took his hand and turned back to the stove.
"Don't worry. Now that you're back, we have all the time in the world to make fettuccini alfredo and anything else we want to do."
love is weakness | kai parker
Tumblr media
OK this is just a little something I thought of while being on a holiday. Not requested or anything.
Two things first:
1. English isn't my first language so please have mercy
2. I've never written about Kai ever before soooo sorry 🙏🏿
~
In which Kai had a weakness and lost it... or did he?
~
"This demon-boy is getting on my damn nerves!", Damon spit out while pouring himself a glass of bourbon.
Elena and Alaric nodded in agreement.
"Is there a way, any way", Elena turned to Jo, sitting on the couch in the Salvatore mansion. "to get any kind of control over him?"
Jo shrugged.
"My brother has lost any kind of humanity he once had, I don't think he can be controlled by anything or anyone."
"He has to have some kind of weakness! Everyone does!", even Damon got desperate now and leaned against the wall.
Jo was silent for a little while before she perked up.
"There was y/n."
"Who the hell is y/n", Elena asked.
"Y/n was our neighbor. She was the same age as Kai and me and we always disguised her as my best friend so that she and Kai could hang out. I remember that she once came over to our once, completely soaked and-"
"Jo, get to the point!"
Jo looked at Damon annoyed.
"Okay. Y/n was Kai's best friend, maybe even more, I think both of them loved the other one but they never told each other. She was staying over when Kai snapped and went on his murder spree. He saw her but it was like he couldn't hurt her at all, so he didn't. She was the only one not getting at least stabbed by him."
Damon, Alaric and Elena looked at each other.
"So if anyone's his weakness, it's her?", Damon asked, setting down his glass.
Jo nodded but then frowned.
"So let's get her and-"
"Damon, that's impossible.", Jo interrupted.
"Why? What's the problem now?"
"She's dead. She died that night trying to save Kai from our father."
"Wake up y/n! Wake up!"
Jo was grasping the teenage girls shoulders, shaking her to wake her up.
"What- What's going on?"
"Kai, he's-", Jo was interrupted by a loud scream from downstairs, causing y/n to flinch.
Panicking the brunette looked at Jo.
"He's, he snapped. He's killing them. Kai is killing them."
Y/n eyes widened. Then she frowned.
"Oh OK, wow, hahaha, what a funny joke you and Kai planned."
The girl pushed a strand of hair angrily behind her ear.
"Very funny, guys!"
Another scream came from downstairs. Nearer this time.
Y/n turned to Jo.
"I know it's a prank, Jo. Tell Kai to stop! If the screaming wakes up your parents you both will be in so much trouble."
"Y/n, it's no- it's not a joke", Jo whispered, pulling y/n away from the closed door.
"Wha-"
"Kai? What are you-" the girls heard from the staircase. It was one of Jo's and Kai's younger brother though y/n couldn't figure out who exactly it was when he suddenly started screaming in pain and then... silence.
Y/n pulled Jo to the wardrobe in her room, stepping into it and shutting it mostly behind them. From where they were crouching between Jo's sweaters and jackets, the girls could see the door.
Y/n couldn't and wouldn't believe Jo. That Kai, her best friend and the most, well troubled, but also most caring person she knew, was murdering his family? It was impossible.
"Come out, come out, wherever you are!", came Kai's voice. Definitely Kai. But how??
The boy stopped in front of their door. Jo and y/n held their breaths, their sweaty hand gripping the other.
A few seconds later Kai kept walking down the hall.
Y/n breathed in deep, letting Jo go and settling against the back of the wardrobe. What was going on?
Suddenly Jo stood up and opened the wardrobe door.
"What are you doing?", y/n hissed, grabbing the other girls arm.
"I have to get the twins. They are on the other end of the hall, I think Kai went in the other direction."
Another scream echoed through the house.
"Jo,you can't! I don't know what's happening but you can't go out there!"
"I have to OK?" Jo looked at her in distress.
Y/n straightened her back and pushed her hair back.
"OK, then we're going together."
Before Jo could say something, y/n walked to the door and opened it as slowly as possible.
Looking down the hall she could see the moon shining through a window, illuminating the doors of the Parkers. And the bloodstains.
Y/n shuddered and slipped through the gap, focusing on being quiet.
Together the girls tip-toed down the hall, to the room of the twins.
Only half a meter and they would be at the door, when they suddenly heard a voice.
"Well, well, well. Who do we have here?" Kai smirked, pulling an axe behind him. His smirk fell when he saw y/n.
"What- what are you doing here?"
As fast as possible y/n opened the door of the room of the twins, pushed Jo in it and closed it again, leaning against it to block it from Kai.
"Y/n! What are you still doing here?", the boy asked angrily, walking to her.
"I- I slept over spontaneously, I thought you knew."
He was right, nor she or Jo told him, that she had decided to sleep over last minute. But why was that so important?
"Y/n.", Kai whispered, softly stroking her cheek. She shuddered, feeling the dried blood on his hands. For the first time in her life she was afraid of him.
"Please, Kai." Y/n didn't even know what she was begging for.
Kai pulled his hand back and his blue eyes got cold again.
"Get away from the door."
His voice was hard, harder than she had ever heard it.
Y/n shook her head.
The boy growled and stepped closer, causing y/n to flinch.
His hard gaze softened and showed a hurt impression.
"Y/n, please."
The girl sobbed and looked at Kai. How could he do this to her? To his family in general? She knew about his father's abuse on him (and had tried repeatedly to go to the police because of it) but killing his entire family did seem pretty harsh.
"Don't do this Kai, please. Please Kai...", she sobbed.
Kai carefully touched her cheek, leaning his head against hers and brushing tears away with his thumb.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry", he mumbled inbetween her sobs, stroking her hair.
With a swift spell the girl went limp in his arms. The magic he siphoned out of his last sibling worked well enough.
Holding onto her waist he picked her up, walking down the stairs and laying her down on the Hollywood swing on his family's varanda.
Looking at her once more he turned around, going back into the house.
He still had some family members to mess with.
Kai smirked.
Y/n groaned groggily as she woke up.
Why the hell was she unconscious anyway? The last thing she remembered was holding onto Kai and sobbing because of- because he was murdering his family.
Y/n gasped and looked around. She was laying on the veranda of the Parkers house. How the hell did she get there?
"You're an abomination, Malachai!"
The girl turned around, that was Kai's father.
Looking to the small forest next to the house she could make out two shadows standing in the moonlight.
Kai and Jonah.
"That must be a bad feeling" Kai taunted as Y/n stepped closer in the shadows of the house. "Creating a monster and that monster turning against you."
Y/n was near enough now to see both men clearly, hiding behind a tree beside them.
"I didn't make you to a monster. You were one the moment your mother gave birth to you!" Jonah was shouting now, his face red.
Kai gave him a loopsided smirk, turning away from him. Obviously done with the bullshit his father said.
The girl could see Kai's father chanting something. A long tree branch started floating and y/n couldn't believe her eyes. What was happening?
The branch turned, targeting Kai's back.
"No!", y/n screamed, running forward the same moment the branch flew at the boy.
Kai turned around, looking at her with a shocked impression.
The next thing y/n knew she stood in front of Kai, looking into his blue eyes.
"Kai", she whispered and then slowly dragged her stare down to her stomach, where she felt a dull ache.
The branch Kai's father wanted to impale his son with was sticking out of her stomach.
"Kai", her legs gave in and she toppled to the ground, the siphoner catching her and pulling her in his arms between his legs.
He was leaning against a tree, y/n's back against his front. His father nowhere to be seen. That coward.
"Hey, hey, hey", Kai said, shaking her shoulders to get her attention.
"You're going to be fine, everything's going to be fine", he mumbled carefully grabbing the tree branch.
"I have to pull it out and then I can heal you.”
“Kai”, y/n pressed out. ”Did you even listen to anything in the first aid course? It has to stay in. And what to you mean with you healing me, you aren't--you aren't Jesus.”
Kai chuckled lowly and shook his head.
“I'm going to explain everything later, just--just listen to me.”
Y/n nodded and held down a scream as he pulled the rest of the branch out of her stomach.
“OK, OK, OK” Kai pressed his hand on the wound and started chanting something.
The girl whimpered and gripped his arm.
“Whatever you're doing I don't think it's working.”
Kai frowned and started again. And again.
“Dammit!”, he screamed, punching the ground.
Y/m flinched and gasped in pain from the movement, screwing her eyes shut.
“No, no, no!”
“Kai, stop. Kai!”, y/n gritted out, turning his face to her, his look was a mix of panic, hurt and pure rage.
“Kai, it's OK.”
He shook his head, wiping away a tear that rolled down his cheek.
“I can- I have to get help”, he was trying to stand up but she stopped him.
The wound was deep and considering the amount of blood she knew and saw she had lost she and Kai knew that there was no hope. Kai seemed to understand and settled back down, pulling her even closer to him.
There was a short time of complete silence, only their shaking breaths.
“I'm sorry”, he suddenly sobbed.
In the 4 years of knowing him, y/n had never seen Malachai Parker cry.
Shocked she turned to look at him, trying to move as little as possible.
“It's OK, Kai”, she whispered, limbs already feeling cold and numb.
Kai shook his head burying his face in her neck.
“No, no, it's all my fault, it's- he's- he was right. I am a monster.”
“No, Kai”, y/n mustered all her strength and gripped his hand, pulling him to look in her eyes.
His eyes were puffy and full of tears.
“You're not a monster. I don't care what your father always told you. You are Malachai Parker. You're a man and the best one of them. You're not-”, she coughed, blood dripping from her lips.
“You're just Kai. You're not a monster nor will you- will you ever be.” Y/n closed her eyes, suddenly feeling oh so tired.
“Hey hey hey”, Kai squeezed her hand, gently stroking her cheek.
“Hey, y/n. Stay- stay with me, OK? You gotta--you just gotta hold on, alright?” Kai was sobbing now, tears streaming freely down his cheeks as he watched the woman he loved slowly die.
“Kai, I- I love-”, she choked out, her grip on his hand growing limb.
“No, no, no”, he mumbled as he watched her breath out, her hand falling on the ground and her eyes growing lifeless.
“No!”, he screamed, gripping her shoulders and shaking her.
“No! No! Y/n! Stay with me! You have to- you can't- don't leave me”, he sobbed leaning his head against her chest where he would normally hear her heart beating. Not anymore. Never again.
“Come back to me. Come back to me .”
“So he only ever loved one person and that was that y/n girl?”, Damon asked, plopping down onto the couch.
Jo nodded, standing up.
“Wait!”
Jo turned back to Elena who looked at her confused.
“What was her name again?”
“Y/n y/l/n. Why?” By now everyone was looking at the Gilbert.
“Because there's a new nurse at our hospital. And that's her name.”
