park sunghoon was hot, he was a walking greek god. was single and wore these fitted suits that had you weak in the knees. if that wasn't hot enough, park sunghoon also had the cutest baby girl you had ever come across and it just made him hotter than he could ever have been.
"hey, um .. is ji—" sunghoon stands at the threshold of your open apartment door, one hand holding his creased blazer and the other rubbing at the back of his neck. embarrassed and shy at having to show up at yours looking like a mess after work because his daughter ran off while he was busy on a call and taking out her school bag from the backseat. and because everytime his daughter ran off, it was to the pretty girl next door who gives away sweet cookies all the time.
"is jia here? yeah she's in the kitchen," you answer, smiling soft and knowingly at the worried guy who barely looked like a dad. he worked in a corporate editorial, out before eight in the morning just as you prepared ingredients for your bakery. taking his daughter along to school, her excited voice resonating through the halls talking about how they were going to play with clay in class. around seven in the evening you'd hear her again, this time alone as she would skip over to your door because dada was too slow.
on weekends it'd be impossible to ignore the ruckus they made playing around, sometimes inviting you over for lunch because sunghoon apparently made too much and jia wanted to share her dada's delicious food. on some occasional weekends when he'd be called in to work for a few hours, jia would promise him to stay home and behave only to call you through the landline the moment he'd step out the door. and you would text sunghoon to come over to yours after work, his daughter munching on the new flavored cupcakes you made, unbothered about her dad and his scoldings.
"come on in, i made some almond lime tart, you could give me some feedbacks along with jia. you know she always says it's good and i can never know if it's actually good," sunghoon can't help but chuckle at that, slipping off his shoes by the front and walking inside. his eyes following your figure with a fond look as you tend to his daughter delicately, and might he admit— even more so than him.
you're sweet, you know how to handle kids; cue that one time jia was crying her eyes out after school and he had no idea what to do to comfort her, knocking at your door frantically and having his mind blown at how quickly you figured things out and calmed her down.

A/N: Idk man I love a good tussle jskksks. Like give me two characters who absolutely hate each other! And with AOT I really don't have to look too far, yay. This is basically canon but it's funny to think about so here it is as well.
Eren - Jean, Weak People
I think the Jean one gets over exaggerated a little, and for good reason too, cause the girlies be EATING with those tropes. But at the end of the day they have a mutual understanding and are cordial at best. They're mostly cool because they share mutual friends and spaces but it’s no longer beef per se.
Hear me out, I don't think anyone wiping out 80% of humanity is willing to kick it with people who aint about it. Mans need someone who’s willing to stand on business behind him. Even throughout the show he’s always admitted to not liking people who’s willing to live like “livestock.” So this is not to be confused with physically weak people by the way but psychologically weak people. Essentially Eren has beef if you’re willing to take it lying down.
Levi - Zeke
Listennnn I LIVE for their fight scenes okay lmao. Like it's almost always on sight for them and their lil jabs at one another? It’s chucklessss for me omg. Lets be clear, their beef is absolutely warranted. It can be safely argued that Levi doesnt really care for most people but Zeke?? Oh baby its all smoke for him.
Erwin - The Government
I swear if it wasn't for the literal fate of humanity and his brewing theory Erwin would've just said fuck it cause baybeeee, they wanted that man GONE. They've tried to get him fired, pointed guns in his face, and built a whole ass guillotine to unalive him; in front of the entire town mind you. Maybe that was the custom back then I don't know. I don’t remember Erwin outright saying that he doesn't fuck with the government but fuck it, I’ll say it for him. Cause I'll stand ten toes down behind this one here.
Connie - Ymir
I promise you I let out a nasty ole chuckle at the thought cause he don't even dislike her fr fr. I think it's a situation similar to Eren and Jean's in the sense that their friends and environment often see them in the same places. Because if we’re being real, not only do they have little in common but they just don't really vibe like that. I think they could've been a little more cordial but Ymir be on her own timing and it's usually at the expense of the squad. Like when she made fun of Connie for suspecting his mother was a titan or when she kidnapped Historia like 3 times and put them all in danger. And I can't even be mad at Connie for being the voice of reason cause him calling her ugly was simply the truth. I, too, reared back when I first saw Ymir's titan form.
Jean - Eren, Reiner, Annie, Bertholt
The whole Eren thing is basically squashed but it’s worth noting that if he were to see him in public, he’d walk the other way.
I lowkey had to dig deep for this one cause I genuinely forgot. But even though they’re all kumbaya now, those three bitches literally watched his homie get half his face chewed off by a titan. Jean is absolutely pouring one out for Marco every birthday by the way, but yeahh it’s still fuck them. Like if they were playing uno stacked, he’d save all his draw 4’s and make them draw 16.
Onyankopon - Yelena
I'm not too sure that Ony dislikes anyone honestly. But I'm going with Yelena here mostly because she’s the reason he found himself in his current predicament. On what was supposed to be a solid plan in motion to save his people quickly turned into Ony modernizing a primitive people, helping build their resources from scratch, having people question his race (and I'm willing to bet my bottom dollar it was mfs that got ignorant), seeming untrustworthy among his peers, almost getting killed, fighting in a war he had nothing to do with, and probably losing his entire family in the rumble. Now, one or two of those things were inevitable, but if you were to view things from Ony’s POV everything went to shit over a bitch with a fatal attraction to a man with daddy issues.
Reiner - Himself
Lmaooo I LOVE a good Reiner drag. And while this started out as a joke, I'm deadass now. This man stays talking about wanting to end it all but never follows through, smh. With lots of therapy and support, I genuinely think that Reiner would be on the road to recovery and a healthy lifestyle; but there’ll always be that lingering thought on if he’s worth it or not
Honorable mention: Ymir. But solely because she would get in the way of his fantasy life with Historia.
Armin - Floch?
This munchkin is damn near Tanjiro levels of sweet cause omg who does he even hate??? He is always looking for the good in people and I'm about to dislocate my shoulder reaching this hard BUT, hear me out - It’s Floch even if he doesn’t outright say it. The same Floch who damaged the flying boat and almost ruined their mission before it even started? The same Floch who fucked it up so bad that Hange had to sacrifice herself which resulted in Armin taking on an even bigger responsibility? The same Floch who got in a lil too close with his bestie Eren? Close enough to be trusted with his future plans? The same Floch who when he lay on that ground bleeding Armin was nowhere in sight? Even at the port where they attacked the Yeagerists and Armin got shot in the face, he pleaded with his old comrades to stand down but Floch is beneath that level of reasoning huh? Whether Armin despises Floch or not it's safe to say if Floch were getting jumped, Armin would definitely sneak in a kick before helping.
Floch - Erwin
This is literally one of those cases where its like I disagree but I understand lol. That man legit made them do a suicide charge and yeah he lead the charge blah blah blah but I could never be that brave. And so that resentment is understandable but in all fairness it shaped Flochs character for the better to be honest; cause that whole pwussy boi arc was annoying.
Also adding the main cast of the Scouts lmao. They thwarted his plans and he spent his DYING breath standing on business. Gotta respect it.

all i can think about is cutting my finger on one of those goofy ass books and accidentally summoning a kazutora demon.
so like, could u do a scenario for demon kazutora hcs?
Thinking of DEMON KAZUTORA who wants to stay in the overworld bc his world sucks so when you accidentally summon him, he knows you don't know anything about demons, so he's using that to his advantage
DEMON KAZUTORA who doesn't tell you how to send him back so he gets to chill and bother you all day, poking at anything interesting you have and asking you a dozen questions about humans and your interests
DEMON KAZUTORA who can turn into a cat to hide his demon form. He's a bengal breed which basically is a cat that looks like a tiger.
DEMON KAZUTORA who begs you to take him outside so he can see the city, so he clings to the inside of your hoodie, poking his head from your collar to see the world, his fur tickling your chin in the process as he looks around with big curious cat eyes, marveling at any and everything he sees.
DEMON KAZUTORA who never gets summoned, so everything is a new experience for him, so ofc he's overjoyed over the simplest things :(
DEMON KAZUTORA who tastes human food and sweets for the first time and literally cries, hot tears rolling down his face as he clenches his chest, the thought of tasting something so good making his heartache since "He doesn't have this back at home..."
DEMON KAZUTORA who tries desperately to make a contract with you so he wouldn't be forced to leave once his time is up
DEMON KAZUTORA who grows attached to you and your antics so he's helping you around the house. The way his eyes are trained on yours whenever you explain something to him is adorable. He's so focused, eager to make you happy that he did something right.
DEMON KAZUTORA who whines anytime you leave without him, already in kitten form with his teeth holding on for dear life onto the pants you're wearing, attempting to pull you away from the door. He sulks around the house when you do eventually leave, but as soon as he catches a whiff of your scent or hear the sound of your keys, he's already ready to greet you at the door, tail wagging excitedly as he patiently waits, ready to tell you how much he missed you and how bored he was.
DEMON KAZUTORA who's favorite thing to do is watch movies and shows with you. He gets a lot of information from them, but the best part is he gets to cuddle with you
DEMON KAZUTORA who loves when you rub his horns, wings, or his little heart shaped demon tail. You also point out his little fangs which always makes his face heat up. he secretly wants to bite you

I swear his tail gives away his emotions. It comically points straight up whenever he's surprised or flustered and curls around himself when he's shy/nervous.
DEMON KAZUTORA who's heart jumps anytime you try to get him so go back where he came from. Screaming words like "Begone demon! depart! goodbye! cut loose! May the power of Christ compel you!" scared when you actually get close to saying the words that would send him back.
DEMON KAZUTORA who sneaks in your bed in cat form, and in your sleepy daze you're fine with that. Then you wake up to his arms wrapped tightly around you, back pressed to his chest, face snug against your neck as his soft breath tickles your skin. UGHHH I NEED THISS PLSSS SHJERHS
DEMON KAZUTORA who sometimes doesn't understand boundaries especially when you're upset with him, so you have to slam the door in his face. He knows he could easily get in if he wanted to, but instead he uses his cat form, tiny paws clawing from under the door, begging to be let in along with many meows and apologies that you eventually cave into 🥺
He's a clingy demon, and god forbid another gets close to you. He'll wrap his arms tightly around you and glare daggers to whoever it is.
DEMON KAZUTORA though he isn't a popular demon, he isn't weak either. So he'll fight a mf if he needed to. He's protective, but not overbearing. He'll be grumpy if you bring another guy home, but he won't bother you, just stare menacingly at the guy in his cat form like >:( and it freaks the fuck out of your guest.
"Uh, your cat is just... he's just staring at me."
"Oh, h-he does that to everyone. Heh... don't mind him." 😐
"Yeah... well i'mma go."
"DAMMIT DEMON!"

DEMON KAZUTORA who just loves touch and physical affection. Giving and receiving. Back hugs, pecks, head pats, boop his nose and he'll melt. Whatever touch you give him he'll gladly take it.
He also finds ANY REASON to touch you. Having trouble reaching something in a high place? Don't worry, he'll place his hands on your waist and lift you. This throws you tf off an then you get all flustered as he chuckles. He knew he coulda just flew up and got it for you, but this is so much better.
HIS WINGS ARE SENSITIVE BTW.
Touch them, tease them 😈 He's very vocal that way
I HC most demons are cold to the touch, so DEMON KAZUTORA is addicted to your warmth. No matter what the weather is he'll always be ice cold which comes in handy on very hot days and he loves it because you'll cuddle up to him more.
IN CONCLUSION. DEMON KAZUTORA is probably the best demon to be stuck with compared to others. It's his goal to protect you, even if you want him there or not. 10/10 demon buddy

imagine an alternate universe where jinwoo and jinchul started dating after Kang taeshiks death. So,I wonder how it will affect the story and happy ending prepare actually.
Aint that just canon but no rewind? (im delusional) anyways while i dont have a lot of opinions over taeshik x jinwoo or jinchul x taeshik (despite my love for it, especially after ragnarok) well for once it will definetly be interesting that jinwoo had to kill taeshik during the prisoners arc, like if they had been dating beforehand (bc taeshik likes the fact that he can outlast death so many times or smth, i have more to say but it will go into spoiler town) and just now jinwoo found out his job, then it will put them at conflictive stance where jinwoo had slowly become that person he loves and also hates. It probaly would eat him up knowing that not only was he closed to taeshik but also inherited some of his assasin traits at the end of the day. And then Jinwoo falling in love with jinchul later on would probably also put the latter to be anxious because he doesnt want Jinwoo to end up as psychopathic as Taeshik had once been. It would certainly be fun to explore more of those inherent similarities with Taeshik and Jinwoo, assasins in their own way liking the slaughter of others, but differentiate when it comes to what kind of slaughter, Taeshik he likes killing peoplle whereas Jinwoo likes killing magic beasts. And how, if it wasn't for that small difference he would have ended to be as psychotic or as heroic as the other is placed out to be.
That whole 'two sides of the same coin' kind of theme is what could have gone well, and what could have also led Jinwoo to ask himself just how far he is willing to kill, and if-- the longer his emotions keep fading and he more his blood lust for humans becomes rampant-- such actions could one day come turn him over to a new leap and end up with him becoming the villain of what he once tried to protect.
There certainly are some pieces there that make Jinwoo loose that sense of empathy as the stories go on. And this isnt to defend anyone but rather just see it from another perspective on how Jinwoo slowly drifts apart from reasonably thinking to committing the justice he thinks is deserved of what he views, no matter the cost or what others may think. (Guess I could say he slowly begins to act more and more selfish because he has already been ruthlessly hurt by those around him.)
From the very beginning his trust is broken by Mr Kim, and the fights with the Lizards and Taeshik are all justified as him trying to protect his life, and none of the others seem to be less justified as well, but theres a point in the story, The International conference, where Jinwoo doesn't really care about cooperation and rather would take things on by himself if it means his family is protected. (Yes, showing weakness at that conference would have been bad, but I don't really think a lot of people would have been down for killing another hunter right now, especially against the one who decimated Thomas and sent him straight to the ER. So no, that little exposition of 'I will kill anyone here who touches my family' would have caused literally the whole world more problems than actually solve them.) or if it means he can place judgement on others like how he did at the side stories with the murder case. And again, that isn't to defend any of the criminals or the people that tried to mess with him, but rather its to say that we, or humans really, have laws, and the enforcement on them for a reason. Jinwoo, for the most part lived in a world that was lawless, as it was said by the lizards, no one would know what happens when you die, so Jinwoo and other hunters had to make their own justice by themselves.
But those psychological differences and Jinwoo's own similarities to Taeshik were just swept under the rug pretty fast in favor of "well the others where shit" instead of taking the time to show that "hey, maybe Jinwoo's one solution methods of killing those he hates might not be so well when you consider that he could impose his own morals or opinions into others by force of death since everyone in the world has biases and often negates or lacks the information to change their view, and that isn't any different for Jinwoo. So instead of killing he could at least approach the subjects with a bit of more self control and finding a better solution that isn't *checks the side stories* fucking sending them to the shadow realm to be tortured."
And going bac kto the post that it was talking about (DAMMIT I RANTED OFF TOPIC) Jinchul could serve to reinforce that point by showing Jinwoo that yes, there is a system that will take care of those who threaten him and take advantage of others (KHA) and that there will be people to also judge his actions which he has to take into account more and more as he begins to loose his own emotions. Someone that could be there to protect him from, quite literally the biggest threat he has ever faced, which end up being Jinwoo's own self and the responsibility that comes with controlling death itself.

Kiko I hope you had a great first day at your new job!!!! And I hope the shit weather we're getting in Louisiana isn't hitting your part of your state cuz boy am I not having fun anymore lol.
I have 2 things to bug you with on this Tuesday morning- I do have a teeny tiny lil Goinko ask: I am so curious to hear Gojo's inner dialogue when he's watching Rinko fight. Like the genuine sorta oh shit she's tough, oh shit she aint weak, Jesus what a badass... I'm gonna fuck her xD
The second- I have been toying with the idea of writing my own fanfic with my own OC and um... I can't seem to start. I have a decent idea of the general plot, no clue how it will end, but I open up Word, type two words, and then close the program. Idk if I need advice or encouragement lol but I look up to you a lot as a writer so I decided to make it your problem too 😅

Gojo's inner monologue when he sees Rinko fighting? 🤔🤔
In a few situations, he's super smug that she's doing so well because he knows she doesn't even realize or acknowledge how strong she actually is. So when she's just destroying something, he's all cocky and proud of her. It reminds him how much he loves her because she can take care of herself. One of the things he's always appreciated about her is that she doesn't let her insecurities or pride get her into situations that are too much for her to take. She's not arrogant. She doesn't show off. She's just there to get the job done. But that's what makes it so sexy to him.
So when he sees Rinko fighting, he's literally just like, 'That's my girl. So sexy and strong. I love her so much. Ass looks incredible, too. And she needs to hurry because as soon as she wraps this up, she's mine. Wonder how pissed she'll be if I just take her here-' because he's a horny boi who always wants to be inside her 😂😂
Advice for how to start with your fic?
Don't try to start from the beginning. Start somewhere in the middle, and work from there. The ending doesn't have to be established right away, either. That can develop as you figure out the story! But as for how and where to start, anywhere. Have a random bit of dialogue? Start with that. It doesn't have to stay in the end, but having something there will really help you. Write nonsense. Write ideas. Concepts. Anything to get those juices flowing. Because nothing is more daunting than a blank page.
Two things I saw recently made me realize that I already did these things most of the time:
Writing choppy, maybe cheesy or dumb dialogue. You can fill in the rest later, or not at all. You can change it up or edit it, but cutting and editing, or even re-writing, is easier than getting yourself to write the initial draft.
"You look like shit."
"Sure know how to charm a girl, huh?"
"You'd be more pissed if I lied to you."
"True."
"Still look awful, though."
"Fuck off."
You don't have to put markers or indicators because it's a first draft. First draft and final draft are rarely going to match, and that's okay. Preferred most of the time, actually. But yeah, just toss that dialogue down to help you get started and then go from there!
Start with notes or random shit about what you want to happen. Some people put it in brackets to describe the setting, scene, or character's actions so that they can continue writing without being bogged down by the pressure to figure out the rest perfectly.
I'll provide an example or two from a WIP of the lockout key idea dump I posted a while ago. (I make no promises that I'll ever finish or post this, but it's the best example I could find that doesn't spoil a bunch of stuff for the other stories)
[he comes to ask for a key even though he's already maxed out his number of lockout keys. he ends up trying to lean in closer and she shoves a cookie in his mouth instead] - this one is a general idea and one thing I definitely want to happen in that scene/snippet
[fire drill in the middle of the night forcing everyone outside until the alarm stops going off. he forgets his key because he had to rush out while he was half-asleep.] - this one is describing the primary setting for the scene/snippet: they're outside, he's very sleepy, and he forgot his key.
All in all, don't be afraid of being random and choppy for your first draft!

leo: psychic and normal type!! not implying its the reason for his skills, rather the way he hyperfixates on football reminds me a some psychic types. mans is using calm mind 24/7. also normal type, cause i feel like he rlly is Some Guy. hes OBJECTIVELY the goat n has more God given talent in a strand of hair than i do in my entire body, but hes also a dude you bump into at publix while in line for a pub sub.
ney: electric type!!! now if you play/watch pokemon you know pretty much everyone who trains a certain type kinda has a similar personality. ney definitely gives electric type. hes always "!!!" what can i say his personality is jus,,, electric ;))
jordan: hendos a fire type!! as captain he has to inspire his team n be their guiding light in a way,,, n also use will o wisp to burn em when they get outta hand.
virgil: ice and steel type!!! ice cause hes as calm (and cool) as you like. however ice is literally the WORST type in the game defensively, n that aint virgil at all. hes the goat of defenders, an abolute wall. a STEEL wall you could say. like literally there are eighteen types in the game n steel resists ELEVEN of em. i realize this leaves him quad weak to fighting n fire but IGNORE THAT.
luis: the mans a dark type. i love this lil blorbo but the man can play DIRTY. n the dark type is all abt using underhanded tactics to win (its actually called the evil type in the original translation lmao), with literally every move having some secondary effect. and how can i forget: bite is a dark type move (for some reason).
andy: a water type!!! like water takes the shape of its container, man can ADAPT. waters also the most abundant type in the game and has been paired with literally every other type. jus like how andy is friends w every one of his teammates!!
trent: grass type!! now what does trent do (well,,, besides defend). he ASSISTS. he DELIVERS. grass is an AMAZING supportive type, w moves like stun spore, grassy terrain, n how could i forget LEECH SEED??? not to mention cotton guard which literally raises your defense by THREE stages instead a two which is more than any other defense boosting move in the game.
sergio: he is a fighting type. what,,, what more do you want me to say. jus ask mo salah (sorry luv). hes kinda like if you skill swapped gallade to give it the contraty ability n used close combat, where instead of a defense DROP it jus,,, gets better every time.
milly: a rock type!!! hes become quite formidable over the years, n this is way overthinking but it could also parallel how rock type gym leaders tend to be the first you face in the game as theyre meant to show new trainers the ropes, jus like how milly does w the younger players of lfc!! also PLS gimme credit for holding back n not going w the "milly is boring" joke n making him a normal type. cause i did think abt it.
klopp: ok papas a GHOST TYPE. fun fact this is my favorite type in the game n the best in my opinion. anyway. klopp is so intelligent he feels like an old soul, passing on old ass wisdom. he works subtly, like how gengar sneaks around in the shadows before you actually see it. this MIIIIIGHT be (most definitely is) based off @liverpoolfanfiction 's AMAZING supernatural au now that i think abt it.
alisson: a fairy n steel type!!! he is jus,,, THE sweetest, how could i not slap the fairy typing on him. hes the kinda guy who knows his friends are upset based on lil tiny cues, like how the hatterene line detects strong emotions. n hes a steel type for the same reason virgil is. the most defensive type in the game!! resists more than half the fuckin types!! no ones getting through our keeper!!!

Things continued on like that for a couple of months—Dabi showing up with Nugget in hand, trading quips with you, and leaving. After each visit, he seemed to stay longer and talk more. Dabi, while loath to admit it, began to look forward to finding the little shit in his apartment so he had an excuse to swing by. It wasn’t until you mentioned he was welcome to come by without Nugget that he began to do so.
“Oi, little mouse.” Dabi leaned against the doorframe, plastic bag in hand. You looked up from the notebook you were scribbling in. Nugget was curled up by your thigh and Boo had her head in your lap.
“Sup, pretty boy—what’s in the bag?” You gently nudged Boo’s head off your lap to get up—she huffed unhappily, tucking her nose under her tail. Dabi walked in and sat on the chair Nugget usually occupied, tossing the bag to you. You caught it and shuffled through the contents. “...did you steal treats for them?” You laughed a little. Boo’s head perked up at the word treat , her tail thumping on the mattress.
“Shut up,” Dabi grumbled without any real anger. “Thought they could use somethin’ nice.”
You smiled, shaking your head. Boo shoved her nose against your hand, jumping up a little bit for the treats. You laughed again, patting the dog on the head. “Alright, alright! I’ll give you your treats, silly girl.”
You distributed the different treats to Boo and Nugget, then put the containers in a cabinet out of Nugget’s reach. “...thanks, Dabi. I haven’t been able to get them anything extra recently.”
“Don’t mention it,” he said gruffly, scratching Boo under her chin. Nugget got up from his spot on the mattress to hop up in Dabi’s lap and curl up. You smiled softly at the sight, leaning against the kitchen counter.
“Sometimes I think they like you more than me, pretty boy,” you huffed, crossing your arms. Dabi shrugged, a smirk tugging at his staples.
“Can’t help that I’m practically a furnace, doll.” Dabi watched Boo wander off to curl up in a sunny spot, tucking her nose back under her tail. “Steal a space heater or somethin’, I dunno.”
You snorted. “I don’t think I’m capable of stealing a space heater. It’s hard enough stealing food when I’m nineteen and using a cane to get around. Y’know how many people stare at me?” You grumbled a bit. “‘s really annoying, honestly.”
“You and me both.” He gestured to himself, laughing bitterly. “Kinda hard to be discreet when you look like this.”
You shrugged. “At least you have an offensive Quirk. Someone threatens to rat you out, you could just toast ‘em.”
“You suggestin’ I murder someone, doll?” Dabi drawled. “I’m surprised. Here I thought you didn’t have any teeth.”
You barked out a laugh, startling Nugget and Boo. You apologised to both of them before directing your attention back to Dabi. “I wouldn’t have survived a month out here without teeth, pretty boy. Someone like me gets targeted for appearing weak. I haven’t killed anyone, though, in case you’re wondering.” You hopped up to sit on the counter, swinging your legs a bit. “I usually take Boo out with me when I go out to find food. You wouldn’t know it, but she can be a vicious thing. Saved my life a couple times.”
He stared at you for a few moments, before a chuckle rumbled out of his chest. “You fascinate me, little mouse.”
“I live to be an enigma to all.” You winked, earning a genuine laugh from Dabi. Your cheeks warmed at the sound. The man smirked, but said nothing about it.
“I should get goin’.” Dabi lifted Nugget off his lap and set him onto the floor, then stood and stretched. You raised an eyebrow playfully.
“Ya got some side business I don’t know about, pretty boy?” You asked, sliding off the counter.
“Somethin’ like that,” Dabi said as he walked out. You huffed, shaking your head.
“See ya around, Dabi.”
It was around midnight when you heard a crash, followed by Dabi wheezing out swears. You scrambled up to flick on the light, barely biting back a startled gasp at the state of your friend—his white shirt had blood staining it, seeping out from under his hand. While it wasn’t unusual for him to turn up with a couple cuts or bruises, this was new.
“Heya doll,” Dabi grinned lopsidedly, wincing. “I ran into a bit of trouble.”
“A bit? Fucking—Dabi, were you stabbed? What the fuck, man?” You hissed, grabbing his shoulders to sit him down and crouching in front of him. “Okay. Actually. I don’t care. Shirt off.”
“If you wanted to see me naked, you could’ve just sai—ow!” Dabi was cut off by you smacking him on the back of the head. “Fine, fine, jeez—” He pulled his shirt off, letting you assess the damage.
“Shit, dude, who’d you piss off?” You grumbled, shaking your head. He had a stab wound in his side, and it was deeper than you initially thought—he was losing blood pretty fast. “Fuck, alright. First-aid kit isn’t gonna fix this. Dammit,” you mumbled to yourself as you placed your hand over the wound. A soft green glow emitted from your palm and the wound began to stitch itself together.
“Hang on, I thought you were Quirkless.” Dabi immediately questioned, grabbing your wrist once his wound had healed. You grunted and coughed up some blood, startling him. “Why are you coughing up blood.”
You held up a finger, wheezing. Once you caught your breath, you sat back on your heels. “About that,” you began with a sheepish grin, wiping the blood away from your mouth, “I was just… pretending. That I didn’t have a Quirk.” Your smile dropped and you sighed. “I’m sorry. I just… I was scared.”
Dabi looked confused, shaking his head as his brow furrowed. “Scared of what, doll?” You caught the hurt under his voice, and were quick to respond.
“Not of you, I swear. I… my Quirk is Regenerative Absorption. I can heal wounds and absorb pain into my own body. I was late developing it, so I was officially registered Quirkless since I was already eight and didn’t have a Quirk. A couple months later, my eye turned green. I’d gotten a Quirk.
“My dad… he dealt with chronic pain. He had me absorbing the pain. Mom let it happen. They punished me whenever I would refuse. Neither of them let me reregister my Quirk. It kept me from being able to report that they were abusing it—though nobody ever did anything for the child abuse reports, so it probably didn’t matter anyways. Eventually I gave up asking to be reregistered. I gave up fighting.
“Then I turned eighteen and decided a decade of this shit was enough. Told them I was done. They kicked me out. I swore I wouldn’t let anybody take advantage of it anymore.” You smiled bitterly, shifting from your kneeled position into sitting cross-legged.
“Fuckin’ bastards,” Dabi snarled. “Want me to torch ‘em? I’ll reduce them to fucking ashes, I swear—”
You laughed a little. “Maybe one of these days, pretty boy—when we’re better off.” He grumbled at that, but relented. “Hey, if you were to get caught, Nugget would have nobody to torment for warmth.” You teased gently as you stood.
You both knew what you meant.
If you were to get caught, I would have nobody to talk to again.
Dabi put his rage away for another day. “Can’t have that, now can we, doll?” He drawled, getting up from his spot.
“Can you…stay? Tonight?” You asked, avoiding Dabi’s eyes. “Just to make sure you don’t keel over or something,” you added quickly. Please.
“...sure thing, doll. I’m sleepin’ on that dingy mattress with you, though. No way in hell I’m sleeping on the floor, and you ain’t, either.” He kicked off his boots, then walked over and plopped down onto the mattress. Boo side-eyed him for disturbing her, but settled back down. Nugget quickly found a spot on Dabi’s chest.
You smiled at the sight of your pets cuddling up next to Dabi, then turned out the light and laid down beside him. “G’night, Dabi,” you said softly.
“Night, little mouse.”

Seriously, everything you said isn't worth it. It sounds like you want to make your own fantasy story not unlike RWBY yet can't get over the latter like a bitter ex-partner.

Something really tells me you didn't read through the whole fucking reblog and only sent this in. Do I need to repeat it so you can firmly grasp it? Cause certainly you need to grasp it!!
Also since you didnt read through the literal paragraphs about my canon divergence Atlas and Mistral regions and even about Robyn Hill and Ironwoods canon divergence. Oh wait a minute, I think you may not know the definition of canon-divergence. Hold up let me get it for you, okay?
Canon Divergence: a fandom term, used when fanfiction is set in a universe that diverges from the original canon due to changing a character's backstory or the plot overall.
(Note- This can also apply to Roleplaying blogs as myself)
Yeah, its that easy to make a story for Ironwood and Robyn Hill and still make it good for both of them for everyone to enjoy. Not like a pasty ol' Karen and a plot-twist villain in the main canon.
But enough of that but just the fact that you say it isnt worth it towards a VERY strong answer. Kind of tells me that its like: "Oh its not good to match canon." I dont know what kind of world you live in amigo, but it aint one I wanna be on. Also another thing to say is.
People on the RWDE tag can still like certain aspects of RWBY and can still be critical about it at the SAME time. It doesnt hurt to do that and trust me it does not hurt me as I can seriously take the wild bullshit the main canon does and can cook it back out as something incredibly Canon-Divergent and people will like it.
Also what is this weakness man, this weak ask you sent me amigo. Cause I was expecting so so MUCH BETTER. It's no wonder why yo ass is getting cooked in the RWDE tag. man...Like who let you cook?!

AAAHHH in this essay I will
1: ooouughghghghgh its so hard to pick, i love them all for different reasons, but if just one, it would probably be Ekko. He went through most (if not all) the heartbreak of the others, but he overcame it, which was pretty ballsy. And the fact that he saw the corruptions of the Topside and the Lanes, and was like "yeah, we aint havin that" IS SO COOL! I really cant wait to see what happens with him and tabby mouse man (I dont and probably couldn't remember his name if i tried)
2:uuuuuuuuoghh it would have to be Silco and Jinx. Silco did reaaaallly bad stuff using Jinx, but the reason I love the relationship so much is because there was genuine LOVE behind it. After Vander's death, Jinx so willingly fell into Silco's arms, because he showed concern. And the trade with Jayce, he was so genuinely distraught by his request, so much so that he chose to affirm his denial as dying words. (Close second was Silco and Vander, because man)
3: I dont think i could be physically able to give this title, because the whole show is fantastic, but I will say that when Silco was talking with Vander's statue OOIGH that pulled a heartstring.
4: episode 9 hands down. The confrontation between Jinx/Powder and the relationships each separately had was fantastic. it talked about everything i had wanted it to, and dude, the freaking part where Jinx asks Vi to leave Kate, OUGHHH because throughout the show Vi is reminded of Vander's words "you have a good heart" AND THAT SAME HEART WAS HER WEAKNESS.
5: with shows, im either bawling or embracing The Emotionless Husk™ and this show was the latter. I think the episode that struck it the most was I think ep 3? It was the part where the Trauma™ happens in the origin story (Vander, Clagger, Milo's death, Vi's disappearence) That one caused me to literally sit in silence after.
6: hate to say it but it's gotta be Kate. Like yes she helped open eyes to people, and willingly looked for the wrongdoings she was apart of, but i really just dont like her.
7:AMAZING SHOW it shows the heartbreaking part of change so well, and how permanent actions can be.

Thoughts on Jing Liu quest?
AHAHAHAHA (negative connotation)
u came to the right person anon, i have a lot to say...
IT WASNT THAT GREAT..... at first i spent a whole night convincing myself it was a reasonable way for the story to go but they did dan heng WAY too dirty. idk why luofu writing is so SHIT but if the current scandal is true and an employee rly has been messing w the story just to mess w the female fans, it explains a lot 💀
there were parts i liked: the art + the fight scene was a banger + how jingliu points out dan heng fights exactly like dan feng. it emphasizes how, whether he likes it or not, there are some things dh has inherited from df and he cant escape that. his appearance, his spear, his bracer, the ribbon, his vidyadhara powers, etc etc... if it wasnt for df, dh wouldnt be who he is today-- thats the truth, and its something dh can grow to accept.
but holy FUCK. the way they handled everything else. dan heng's memories. jingliu's introduction and her motives. blade's characterization. THE PLOTHOLES. just....ITS KINDA ALL WRONG!!!!!
IN MY OPINION. dan heng's whole POINT is that he doesnt remember his past life/his "past". he considers those memories as "not his", and asserts himself as his own individual person without them. its IMPORTANT he doesnt remember anything + that he doesnt NEED to bc this way he contrasts march 7th and the trailblazer, who also dont have their past memories-- but those 2 WANT to remember, are actively trying to, and they DO consider their past memories/past life as part of "themselves". whereas dan heng runs from his past and tries to find his "true self" without it, march and trailblazer run towards theirs, trying to catch glimpses of their "true selves" through it.
SO THERE'S LITERALLY NO REASON HE HAS TO REMEMBER DAN FENG'S PAST. it completely messes up his character arc/the message his character is trying to send!! they backpedaled so hard on their stance towards dan heng... first it was "only u can determine who u are, no one else; the expectations others hold for u dont matter" and now its "u are him no matter what u do, these sins are yours". like WHAT???? jingliu's quest just made more people equate dan heng with dan feng when the story is SUPPOSED to emphasize that they r DIFFERENT PEOPLE💀💀💀💀
dan heng did decide to face dan feng's sins, but he's NOT a part of the quintet. he's a WHOLE NEW PERSON. so why was he invited as a part of the quintet, but bailu wasn't?? its like theyre saying bailu is a whole new person, but dan heng is still dan feng, WHICH GOES AGAINST HIS CHARACTER THEMES(i am silenced and forced to sit down) anyways imo if bailu didn't have to attend the worlds worst high school reunion, dan heng shouldn't have had to attend either!!!! his convo with blade at the end was so ooc it killed me. like, a little walk with his past life's old friend, and suddenly he's willing to forgive blade's literal years of stalking and attacking him??? now hes willing to play along with the vengeance he spent his whole life insisting was directed at the wrong person???????? i only chose that option bc the one on top sounded so wimpy/out of place it also felt ooc to me 💀 he wouldnt show weakness to blade, but there's no way he'd be that accepting either. maybe 3 years later and x patches in, but not NOW...

THEY DID HER SOOOO FUCKING DIRTY. she's a new character. casuals/people who dont dig through lore don't know anything abt her except that shes jingyuans teacher. so why is her INTRODUCTION a fucking CONCLUSION TO HER CHARACTER ARC???? shes already DONE wandering and finding an answer in her heart. shes already DONE deciding whether or not to keep running or face her past. now shes mourning for a PERSON WE DONT EVEN KNOW. we watch her get closure for her dead girlfriend. BUT SO WHAT??? WE DONT EVEN KNOW EITHER OF THEM!!! SEEING HER GET CLOSURE MEANS NOTHING TO US. ITS JUST AWKWARD. why was her INTRO her fucking CHARACTER ARC'S CONCLUSION!!!!!!! they should've made her quest like luocha's, where all we did was speculate and her real motives remained a mystery. then we couldve been spared from this shitfest!!!!
the difference in quality between belobog story and luofu story is insane!!!! like, just compare luka's quest to jinglius....hello??? its crazy how unsympathetic they made her. it was literally "tell not show" instead of "show not tell".
anyways im just upset at dan heng's treatment. like, this character has a clear message/direction they were going for, but jinglius quest kind of stomps all over it, and her quest was supposed to introduce her but her introduction flopped hard. she was so much cooler when we saw her during yanqings quest and she was half insane. its awkward to mourn for someone we dont even know and its awkward to watch someone we dont know mourn. and, ngl, it rly felt like they only added dan heng in there bc they want more ppl to care abt the quintet. that whole quest couldve been through jingliu's pov where the reunion only happened between blade, jingliu, and jingyuan, so why wasn't it??? as opposed to those three, dan heng already moved on from the past. it was awkward for dan heng and for the audience💀
tldr i had high expectations bc i thought hoyo cared abt the quintet but not only did it flop it also dragged dan heng's characterization through the mud

okay. i need to talk about this otherwise it will drive me insane. that gif set i tagged you in. in like almost all of the gifs, oc's injured hand doesn't move. which makes sense if it's hurt and all. but then when he says he'll fight for the international title, he moves his injured hand. idk if he's just trying to fight through the pain or his body is just reacting automatically to the idea of fighting while injured. with the belt corruption, it's pretty obvious it's pushing him past his previously assumed breaking point, so could it be the belt, trying to push oc more and more past limits he thought he had, even through physical injuries? idk idk. i just found that so fascinating and it probably won't mean anything on TV, but in our AU... that could mean so many fucking things

i just. love the body language in this whole thing so much honestly. you can see he really doesnt use the hand this entire time while talking, but he talks most with his face and hes clearly moving the rest of his body to get the point across
but when it comes to this, everything else in him tenses up while he moves that hand, clearly signaling pain. like look at that face. he looks so stoic like hes trying to hide the pain, only slightly blinking (which also. thats the one part he blinks in this. just. you know)
like cassidy is already stoic as fuck character, but this is like. man doesnt even show pain normally. hes clearly pushing through it tho, the hints are so small and subtle, but they are there. but also this aint normal for even him. especially if you consider the lengths he went to literally SCREAM during the match about his pain like. i understand hiding your pain and broken bones cause this is still a competitive sport and with someone constantly on the hunt for their victims weaknesses as house of black is, yeah, it makes sense
but him keeping up with character up until the point he is forced out of his zone? THATS INTERESTING
this is such a short clip but its a perfect build up to everything. im just intrigued now knowing that best friends are in action on friday, cassidy will most likely be there, aussie open has plenty of potential backup to show up to show off to him... how is that still clearly fucked up hand gonna play into all of that, and against who? how much more of this are we going to get?
