#like just the idea of them meeting my grandmother is so freaking funny
Text
Posting this more to keep record since I'm starting to lose track of all the bullshit that's happened in the last few months. Starting with:
- My most recent ex (M) breaking up with me out of nowhere. More on that later.
- Getting threatened on the floor by my assistant manager
- Two weeks later of said assistant manager being a complete ass and bully I get fired because HR didn't want to actually deal with the problem after I reported him. Also because my manager was old friends with him and the only coworker who was a witness hated me.
- My grandmother died
- Unemployed and somehow catch COVID even though for the first time since the pandemic started im not interacting with hundreda of people regularly? Completely kicked my ass for about a week
- I completely cut off contact with my entire friend group including my best friend after a couple months of increased problematic behavior and now I'm alone with no one
- I start losing my vision in my left eye and when I get it checked at my usual doctor (because I had a history of this particular thing happening) I get told it's nothing serious
- another month or so later I'm down a third of my vision and get a second opinion. They immediately catch the problem (same as I had before) and I'm rushed to the hospital for emergency eye surgery. That's a loose term because I was stuck there for 3 days where no one told me anything and I couldn't eat and was essentially in a hallway.
- My most recent ex (M) tells me the reason we broke up was due to her accidentally getting pregnant and miscarrying within a few days and it messing everything up and caused her to lose it on me (understandably). We weren't ready for kids and it wouldn't have happened but still a fucked up thing to learn and confusing to think about.
- My most important ex (P), back from 2015 or so accidentally came back into my life briefly. We talked, it went poorly, as nice as it was to know they were alive they didn't mean to reveal they were checking up on me and everything went to shit. It ended with a fight and them blocking me. This is the same ex who cheated on me, had a kid with the guy less than a year later, then some time later used me for a few months before disappearing again, leading me to thinking they might be dead and them secretly checking up on me for who knows how long because they "care". I don't fucking know. I'm exhausted.
--- update 1 ---
- matched with a super attractive girl on a dating app. She was super into me. Everything seemed great.
- Then I get blocked out of nowhere. Accused of shit I never did. Freak out and explain and eventually fix things that I had no control over in the first place.
- Planned to meet. Talked the entire way to where we were meeting up. Maybe 5 minutes away she starts acting funny. Changes the meeting place further away. Posts weird statuses on Facebook. Stops replying. Blocks me again. Get threatened by her brother. I freak out again with no idea what's going on or if she's even okay.
- I write a long letter explaining how I'm not sure what happened but I'm extremely hurt and confused and would like to try again if she would just talk to me about what's going on.
- she eventually replies, apologizes. Blames her brother for sabotaging the meet. I explain I'm on my last chance with her. My emotional and mental health has been devastated and I can't take the stress anymore. We start talking again and make plans to meet the next day. I reply to one last message quickly while half awake as I pass out. But everything is fine.
- wake up the next day and I'm blocked. Again. She claims I'm a piece of shit. Selfish. Has a line of guys who want to be with her. Etc. After a mini panic attack I calm down and realize she has serious issues. She needs help and I need to walk away from this situation and wash my hands of it. Finally after a week of insanity and my mind being played with and fucked around I'm able to get back to good
--- update 2 ---
- been looking for a place to buy or rent for over a year and no luck. Every time I apply they say they're swamped and have like 80 applicants and it's just impossible to find a place unless I spend my entire income monthly. So I'm stuck where I am
- for a few months now it's been increasingly clear the business I work for is going down the drain. The owner is a joke, the people before the current staff signed shit contracts and combine that with the downturn in the industry everything's been going downhill and looking more and more like we're gonna go out of business. Ever since I started back in August every month at minimum 1 person has left and not been replaced and now we're bare bones and I just have no fucks left to give about this place which sucks because I fucking loved this job until a couple weeks ago.
- my boss, the one who I was the assistant to and literally was the only reason I got hired in the first place gave her notice a few days ago. It sucks. The job was already bullshit but I'm not willing to pick up her work on top of my own since they're not replacing her and just expecting things to be fine.
- the family cat, Grey, hurt his paw a couple weeks ago. Thankfully nothing major aside from some pain meds but still a bit of a worry. Then earlier this week he was acting funny and not looking good and he was rushed to the vet. Turns out he had a urinary blockage and even though it's fairly common they went over everything including worse case scenarios including euthanasia and I was devastated. I was barely able to hold myself together at work and not breakdown. Even though he's home now and doing much better I'm still depressed from it. When I visited him at the hospital there was a woman in the room next to us. In the middle of me and my dad talking I had to stop him because I heard her crying. She said she was sorry and sobbed and it was clear her pet was just put down and it killed me. I can't stop hearing that over and over.
- Probably to be continued cuz my life is a joke

the family friends from my dad's hometown told us that this week they had to host this exchange student from belgium of north african descent given his name (elias) and i'm obsessed like imagine going to spain for a week and arriving in alicante's airport thinking you're gonna be in this pretty area by the sea and then you get to this 5k inhabitants town in the middle of the mountains where everyone speaks in valencian and is preparing some kind of festivities that involve muslim iconography

Unexpected Love [Kai Parker] || Part One
masterlist
pairing - kai parker x fem, human!reader
type - fluff, angst
note / request  - this request is by @mrs-parker-1972 “The reader is on the other side with the others, and gets trapped there with bonnie and damon, or you can just skip to part when all three of them are in the prison world. So i am not really sure on how the reader meets kai, but you can improvise that part, I trust you. And then well, um, the reader and kai will hate each other and despise each other (damon and bonnie are in the real time world I guess?) And then kai does something human for the reader (you know, coz he doesn't have feelings) and it wakes something in him and the reader and kai grow close to each other, and I really don't know what else, but like can you, make their time in the prison world longer?? (Kai and the reader's) . And please it would be hilarious if you could add some comedic lines if damon, coz you know, damon is damon. And it would be AWESOME if you added the deleted scene of kai Parker where he is really emotional, and he says that after the reader touches a really soft spot about his child hood. And please make the reader human.”
note - so i was planning on just rewatching the 6th season and copying scenes but i discovered it would take so long lol, so i split this into a 4 parts. i also didn’t really copy anything from the show, just the scene at the end. so most of this is just my writing. part two is at the end and word count is 7k+
summary - you and kai fall in love over a period of time after spending time with each other in the prison world
warnings / includes - language, alcohol, crying, fighting,

“Maybe if you didn’t take so long to look for Alaric, we would still be alive!” I exclaimed.
“Hey, you’re the one who insisted that you have a whole conversation with Lexi about the last few years,” Damon spat.
“Yeah, but we were both already with Bonnie. You were miles away!”
“You two stop it!” Bonnie shouted, putting her hands up in-between Damon and I.
“No, Damon needs to know that this is his fault,” I glared.
“Oh, hardly. Why were you even there, again?” Damon asked.
“Because you twisted my neck, jackass. Which thank you, by the way,” you smiled sourly.
“Man, I wish you weren’t wearing that ring. You being dead right now would really-”
“Damon!” Bonnie yelled again. “I’m serious. You two need to stop. You’re giving me a headache.”
“Not my fault,” I mumbled, looking down at the road.
“Liar,” Damon said not-so-quietly.
“Before you two start again, let me remind you that I’m scared and mad, too. We can’t just fight the whole time, though. We need to see if we can get out. You two have been fighting about this for months, so stop,” Bonnie said.
“We’re dead, Bon-Bon. We can’t get out,” Damon said.
I rolled my eyes and started to walk away from them. I couldn’t stand Damon.
“Where are you going?” Damon exclaimed.
“To look for a way out, and to get away from you!” I yelled without looking back.
“See? She’s useless,” Damon muttered behind my back.
I let out a long, distressed sigh. “I’m going back home.”
“Same. I need some food,” Bonnie said, catching up with me.
We walked for miles until we got to Damon’s house. I was sweating and panting by the time we got there. We had no cars so it was a good 5 mile walk.
“Need any water?” Damon asked as we walked inside his house.
“Yes, please,” I breathed out.
I trudged over to the couch, flopping down and taking my sneakers off. Damon came back over with a big class of cold water. I smiled at him gratefully, standing up to take it. Damon had other ideas, though. He lifted the glass up to the top of his head, making it hard for me to grab it.
“Oh, c’mon. You’re such a dick!” I whined, jumping up. My fingertips skimmed the bottom the glass, but I still was just a little too short to grab it.
“Say that magic words,” Damon smirked.
I rolled my eyes. “Thank you, oh great wise one.”
Damon smiled happily, setting the glass down on the table.
“Jerk,” I muttered, taking a long sip of the water.
“You love me!” Damon sang. “Nope,” I shook my head.
“Hey, we need to get more food,” Bonnie stated from the kitchen.
“Then go and get it, Bon-Bon,” Damon muttered.
“I was just about to, Damon,” Bonnie spat.
“Maybe you can go and learn magic again, too,” Damon snickered.
I turned my head to him. glaring. “Wow, you are just full of shit today. Huh, Damon?”
Damon rolled his eyes at my insult. “Yeah, well, I don’t want to be stuck here. I want to see Elena.”
“And you will! Who knows, maybe I’ll get my magic back. While I’m out I’ll go and practice magic,” Bonnie shrugged off Damon’s insult.
“Good idea. I’ll go with you,” I smiled, standing up and slipping back on my shoes.
“With all do respect Bonnie, you haven’t been able to do magic ever since you became the anchor. What makes you think you can do it now?” Damon asked.
“Just have faith, Damon. She can do it. I know it,” I smiled at Bonnie, who smiled gratefully back at me.
“Fine. But are you guys gonna leave me all alone?” Damon whined.
“Yep,” I nodded, walking over to the door.
“Who’s the rude one now?” Damon challenged. I put a finger up to my chin and hummed, pretending that I was thinking hard. I then put on a charming smile.
“Still you. Ready Bonnie?” I turned to the girl next to me who was putting on a jacket.
“Yep. See you later, Damon,” Bonnie smiled and waved.
“See you,” I nodded.
Damon waved goodbye as we shut the door behind us. I walked with Bonnie until we split off. She went to her grandmother’s house, while I went to the little supermarket a few miles out.
Walking there was a pain in the ass. I had my car keys with me, but I couldn’t seem to find my car. Even though this place had everything else; Damon’s house, my house, Bonnie’s grandmother’s house. Even Elena’s house. Just not my car, which pissed me off, but I knew I couldn’t start to get mad again. Getting angry and upset wouldn’t help us get out of here.
I walked up to the supermarket and entered the market, expecting someone to be at the register, but no one was there. I laughed at myself for expecting someone. Every time I’ve gone out, I’ve always expected to see people. But I remind myself that I’m dead. Of course no one would be here. We were all alone. Those cars outside were just there because this was just a very real, very confusing after-life.
I grabbed a shopping cart and started getting the stuff we needed. Eggs, milk, fruit, vegetables, bread. I then got some soda and water bottle cases, some bags of chips and sweets. I went over to the frozen food section and got a few microwavable dinners and some ingredients to make food like chilli and tacos. I went around the store once more, making sure I got everything we needed. I passed one shelf, stopping once I realised that something was missing.
“I thought there were pork rinds here,” I muttered.
Merry-go-round music then started to play. I turned a full 360, trying to see if there was anybody in the store with me. No one was here. I went outside of the store, seeing the little merry-go-round spinning.
“That’s weird,” I mumbled.
I heard the sound of flapping and my head snapped to the sound. I saw someone pass by in a flash. Goosebumps sprung up on my arms and the hairs on the back of my neck raised. I got this uneasy feeling in my stomach as my mind went to disturbing thoughts.
“Hello?” I called out.
I walked further into the parking lot, hearing the noise again. I sighed as I realised it was probably just Damon pulling a prank on me.
“Very funny, Damon! You’ve freaked me out, good job. You can come out now!” I exclaimed, my eyes searching the open area.
The merry-go-round came to a stop and I let out a deep breath to try and calm myself down. Bonnie, Damon, and I were the only ones here. No one was going to hurt me… Right?
The merry-go-round music started up again suddenly. I jumped in surprise and fear, doing another 360.
“Must be on a timer,” I muttered.
“False,” an unfamiliar, matter-of-fact voice spoke behind me.
I froze in my spot, afraid to turn around as I knew that definitely wasn’t Damon.
“Don’t be scared. I won’t hurt you,” the voice said, getting closer to me.
The person appeared in front of me. I stiffened up more as the voice belonged to a man. A very attractive man, might I add. He had a big, teasing smile on his face. His blue eyes danced around my face, studying me as I studied him. He had brown hair that was combed up, wearing jeans, a black t-shirt, a green jacket and carrying a bag of pork rinds.
“Oh, you’re the one who stole the pork rinds. Who are you?” I asked. “I’m Kai,” the man held his free hand out.
My eyes flickered down to his arm and back up to his eyes. I put my hand out gingerly, slipping my hand into his slowly. I kept eye contact as we shook hands. My stomach did flips as we touched.
“Nice to meet you, Kai. I’m Y/n,” I offered him a friendly smile.
“Oh, I know,” Kai shrugged. I furrowed my brows, instinctively pulling my hand away from his.
“How?” I asked.
“I’ve been watching you and your friends for a while,” he admitted.
“Oh,” I said, my eyes wide in shock.
“Yep! It’s so nice to have friends now. Man, I have been really lonely,” he chuckled.
“We aren’t friends. And what do you mean you’ve been lonely. Are you dead, too? Have you been stuck here as long as us, too?” I asked.
Kai frowned, stepping closer to me. “Why all the questions? Don’t you want to get to know me?”
“Um,” I shifted uncomfortably on my feet, stepping back so there was distance between us.
“Am I making you uncomfortable? Sorry about that. It’s been a while since I’ve had face-to-face type human interaction,” he chuckled, looking down to the ground.
“No, it’s fine. Anyways, are you dead, too?” I repeated one of my burning questions.
“No! I am very much alive. Well, I think so. You can kiss me to find out, though,” he flirted.
I felt the tip of my ears grow warm as his suggestion. “No, thanks.”
“Oh! I’m doing it again. God, sorry. You are just so pretty and i get nervous when I’m around girls. Especially ones like you.”
I chuckled, my grip on the shopping cart tightening. “So, you said you have been lonely. For how long, exact?”
“Long time. I’m not sure. It’s 1994, though,” he explained.
My eyes bulged out of my head. “What?! It’s 1994?”
“Yep. There’s literally newspapers everywhere,” he snorted.
“Well, I haven’t really been observant, I guess. What are we doing in 1994?”
“We’re stuck!” He explained. “Oh, damn,” I muttered.
“Yeah, it sucks, but now you guys are here to keep me company!” He grinned.
I smiled politely at him, getting ready to turn around and go back home. “Right. Well, I gotta go. My friends are expecting me for dinner. Maybe you could uh… You could um, come to dinner?”
His eyes widened in surprise. I kept on my smile, shifting the weight in my feet.
“Really?” He asked.
“Yeah, why not! Um, chilli sound good?” I asked. “Perfect. I’ll bring drinks,” he suggested.
“Sounds great. Well, um, see you later?” I proposed, getting ready to turn around.
“Yep,” he smiled. “Great,” I chuckled, looking down shyly. I began to turn around, but Kai stopped me.
“Why don’t I drive you there? It’d be tedious of you to carry the cart all the way home, right?” Kai asked.
I turned back around, “Um… Yeah. Yeah, you’re right. Are you sure, though?”
“Positive.”
My smiled widely, giggling a little. “Well, yeah, I’d really appreciate it.”
“Great. My car’s over here,” He said and pointed to a dark blue Chevy.
“Wow, this is a really cool car,” I said, wheeling the car to it. “Yeah, I know,” he smiled, shoving his hands in his pockets.
I opened up the trunk and loaded the groceries in the car. I then walked over to the passenger seat and got in, buckling and waiting for Kai to get in the driver’s seat. We got to Damon’s place in 10 minutes. I was very thankful I had met him, even though he was a little bit of a weirdo. Kai parked in the entry way and he helped me take in the groceries.
“Hey, Damon! Is Bonnie home yet?” I called out.
“Yeah! I am,” Bonnie came out from the kitchen. Her smile faltered as he saw Kai standing next to me. “Who, uh, who is this?” “Oh!” I giggled. “This is Kai. We met at the supermarket.”
“Oh, really? Hi, Kai,” Damon narrowed his eyes at him.
“Hi, Damon!” Kai said cheerfully. “How the hell do you know my name?” Damon asked.
“Oh, he’s just uh… He’s just been observing us and stuff,” I explained.
“Hm, not creepy at all,” Damon muttered. “Well, it’s nice to meet you, Kai. Are you joining us for dinner?” Bonnie asked.
“Yeah, I hope that’s okay,” Kai said. “Yeah! It’s fine, guys, right?” I asked.
“Sure,” Bonnie nodded.
“Great! I brought drinks, too,” he said, holding a bag filled with bourbon and whiskey.
“Great, but we already have some,” Damon said, gesturing to the liquor cabinets.
“Oh,” Kai frowned. “But it’s fine! We’ll drink your’s,” I said.
“Great,” Kai perked up again. “Let’s get dinner started, yeah?” I suggested, walking over to the kitchen.
Everyone nodded in agreement and helped with dinner. Kai mostly helped. Damon got bored in the middle and went to his room to do God know’s what, while Bonnie went to sit on the couch and watch 90′s classics.
“Thanks for helping with dinner,” I said. “No problem. You are an amazing cook,” Kai complimented.
“You haven’t even tasted the food,” I chuckled.
“Well, you seem to know the recipe and whatnot. And it smells amazing.”
“Well, thank you,” I smiled, turning and looked at him.
My eyes met his and a wave of butterflies washed over me. I looked into his mysterious blue eyes, getting lost in them quickly.
“Is dinner done yet?” Damon asked, interrupting the moment.
I jumped away from Kai in an instant, hanging my head low in embarrassment.
“Yeah,” I muttered, walking away and getting bowls out. I poured the chilli in each bowl, bringing them to the table with a glasses of Kai’s alcohol.
“Dig in.” I sprinkled cheese over my chilli.
“Let me take a sip of this bourbon first,” Damon said, holding the glass up skeptically. He brought the glass up to his lips, taking a slow and small sip. As soon as the bourbon touched his lips, he dropped the glass on the floor and his hand flew to his throat.
“Oh, my God. Damon, are you okay?” I jumped up from my seat, running over to him.
“V-Vervain,” Damon gasped. “Vervain… What?” I gulped, my eyes immediately meeting with Kai’s.
“You!” I pointed. “Oops,” Kai chuckled, getting out of his seat.
“Not so fast,” Bonnie said, grabbing his arm to sit him back down. Kai grabbed her arm, too. Bonnie started screaming and holding his hand in pain.
“What? What are you doing to her!” I exclaimed, going over to them.
“Taking her magic,” Kai shrugged. “What! B-But… How?” I asked.
“She’s a witch, so am I. Well, not exactly. I’m more of what you say… a siphon,” he explained as if I was supposed to know.
“Well, whatever are you, get off of her!” I yelled, taking ahold of his jacket and pulling him away. I stumbled back, still holding onto him.
“I wasn’t done yet!” Kai whined.
“I don’t care! You were hurting her,” I glared at him, shoving him out of the way and going to Bonnie.
“Hey, did he burn you? Let’s get your arm under some water,” I said, grabbing her shoulder gently.
“No, I’m not burned. It just hurt like hell. Ugh! Why did you do that?!” Bonnie exclaimed angrily at Kai.
“Because I needed the power to do this,” Kai said, holding up his hand. He made the bottle of bourbon float up and poured it all over Damon.
“Stop!” I shrieked, running over to shove his arm down, but he sent me flying across the room with his other hand.
“Sorry, princess, but I can’t let you ruin this,” Kai said.
I groaned, holding the back of my head. “Screw you.”
“Oh, I wish you could,” Kai winked at you.
I gagged in disgust and got up slowly, groaning at the paining my back. “Not anymore.” Kai chuckled will finishing pouring the bottle of bourbon on Damon, then lifting him up and throwing him against the wall.
“B-Bonnie. D-Do mag-gic,” Damon whimpered.  “Yeah, please do,” I nodded, balancing myself on the island counter.
“Yeah, please do, Bonnie. Please humiliate yourself in front of your friends. It’s so sad that you can’t do magic. I’ve been watching you for weeks now. What’s even the point of you trying? What’re you gonna do, fail at me? It’s embarrassing. I’m embarrassed for you,” Kai taunted her.
Bonnie gave him a death glare and looked around the room, spotting a few candles. She closed her eyes and held up her hand. “Phasmatos Incendia.”
I watched in amazement as the candles lit. Bonnie then turned to Kai, who had a shocked look on his face. She grinned at him, cocking her head to the side.
“I’m embarrassed for you,” she mocked him.
“Dammit,” Kai muttered. “Looks like I have to kill you now. I was planning on for that to be later.” “Oh, no you don’t,” Damon remarked, getting up slowly. He then sped over to Kai and before Kai could react, Bonnie held Kai’s arms back while Damon punched Kai.
“You’re going down, wacko,” Damon muttered, taking Kai’s head in his hands and slamming him down on the floor, knocking Kai out.
“Are you okay, Damon?” I asked immediately. “Yeah, I’m fine. Let’s get him chained up,” Damon said.
“Yeah, okay,” I nodded, going over and lifting Kai up form under his arms.
“Good job, Bon-Bon. About time,” Damon patted Bonnie on the back.
“Thanks,” Bonnie gave him a small smile.
Bonnie helped me chain up Kai to a chair, Damon going on the couch to heal and rest.
“I can’t believe you liked him,” Damon spoke up after a while.
“I didn’t,” I protested. “You sure? You were drooling all over him when he first came into the house. You're type is crazy,” Damon smirked.
I rolled my eyes, wanting to change the subject. “I think the whiskey he brought also has vervain in it.”
“He’s right, Y/n. You have horrible taste in guys,” Bonnie teased.
I scoffed. “Un-called for! Damon’s supposed to be the rude one.”
“It’s not being rude if I’m telling the truth,” Bonnie smirked. “Yeah, well, I guess I liked him. Not anymore, though,” I sighed, sitting down on the couch next to Damon.
“Good. We would definitely have had to take you to therapy,” Damon smirked.
I laughed with him, letting out a long sigh. “I just still can’t believe there is someone here with us.” “Yeah, and he’s a psycho,” Damon spat.
“What're we gonna do with him when he wakes up?” I asked.
“Interrogate him. See what he knows, what he wants, how to get out of here,” Damon answered.
“Well, I know a little bit about what he knows,” I said. “We’re in 1994.”
“Yeah, I know,” Damon muttered. “What, how?” I asked.
“While you were gone we found a newspaper. Apparently, we have been re-living May 10th since we got here,” Bonnie said sourly.
“Oh. Great,” I shook my head. “Anything else you guys found out?”
“Yes, actually. Kai is a murderer,” Bonnie said. She grabbed a newspaper from the coffee table and held it up to my face. She pointed to the left side where there were four headshots of teenagers.
“Family Massacred in Portland. The only one missing was the oldest boy. A 22 year-old named Malachai,” I read aloud. I then looked up to Kai who was still knocked out. “I-Is he Malachai?”
“All signs point to yes,” Damon said. “My God. I liked a murderer? Jesus, what is wrong with me?” I muttered, setting the newspaper down.
“Really? Your type in men is what you’re worried about?” Damon scoffed.
I smiled a little. “No, no! It’s just… Weird to me. Anyways, if he knows the way out, we have to get out without him, okay?”
“Deal,” Bonnie nodded.
“Do you guys want to go to bed?” I asked. “Well, someone has to stay and watch,” Damon gestured to Kai.
“Why don’t you. You’re the immortal,” I nudged his shoulder.
“Fine. I’ll alert you guys when he wakes up,” Damon said.
“Great. Thanks, Damon,” Bonnie smiled. “Mhm. No prob!” Damon exclaimed as Bonnie and I climbed up the stairs.
“He is kinda cute,” Bonnie said once we reached one the guest bedroom.
“Who? Damon?” I asked. “No, Kai,” Bonnie explained.
I raised my brows, my mouth formed in the shape of an ‘O’.
“What?” Bonnie asked. “I cannot believe you just said that about our enemy. You’re never this two-faced,” I smirked.
Bonnie rolled her eyes, “Yeah, well, he’s still a sociopath.”
“True that. Hey, wanna have a sleepover? Maybe have some fun,” I suggested.
“Yes! Oh, I wish that Care and Elena were here,” Bonnie sighed.
“Me, too, Bon. We’ll get to see them soon, though.” I put a hand on her shoulder.
“I hope,” Bonnie smiled.  I smiled back and went to the closet, finding a pair of sweats and a tank top. Bonnie and I got ready for bed, staying up for a good hour talking, finally passing out across the bed.
I was the first one to wake up. I rose up slowly and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. Once I opened them fully, I looked around the room with complete confusion. Once I looked at the clock, though, I finally realised that I was in a repeating loop of May 10th, 1994. You’d think waking up for months in this place, I would get used to it, but I really never have. Not yet, at least.
“Disappointing, right?” Bonnie spoke next to me. I turned, chuckling in agreement. “Most definitely.”
“At least we got a full night’s sleep. It’s 10 AM,” Bonnie said. “True,” I nodded, getting up and stretching.
“Let’s go and see the sociopath living downstairs,” I groaned.
“I’ll need coffee before I see him,” Bonnie said, getting up and putting on a robe.
“Oh, me, too,” I chuckled.
We both went downstairs after freshening up, going to the kitchen immediately.
“Um, hello? Did you forget about us?” Damon asked form the living room.
“Yep,” Bonnie smiled at him. Damon rolled his eyes, going over to us.
“Hurry up, sleeping beauties. Malachai is awake,” Damon said, his eyes going wide as he said Kai’s full name.
“Please, it’s Kai,” Kai said. “Hm, nope. I read Malachai in the newspaper,” Damon gave Kai his signature sarcastic smile.
Bonnie and I laughed at Damon defying Kai. I poured myself some coffee and made myself some eggs and toast before going over to Damon.
“Alright, I am ready to get this interrogation on,” I smiled, sitting down on the couch.
“Me, too,” Bonnie said, sitting next to me.
“Wow, you look beautiful when just waking up,” Kai complimented.
“Drop the act, weirdo,” I rolled my eyes.
“I was actually talking to the green-eyed beauty next to you,” Kai grinned.
I couldn’t help but frown. My heart sank to the bottom of my stomach and I looked down at my food, picking up the toast and nibbling on the crust.
“You can still drop the act. We want answers,” Bonnie demanded.
“Ooh, you are so sexy while dominant,” Kai winked. “And you are so gross and desperate,” Bonnie stated.
“If you don’t give us answers, I’ll snap your neck,” Damon threatened.
I looked up and saw Kai pursing his lips.
“It’s so funny,” Kai stated. “What is?” Damon asked.
“Well, you three seem to hate me, yet you haven’t killed me yet,” Kai explained.
“Because we need information from you, and you are withholding for no reason,” Bonnie explained further.
“Fine. But I want Y/n to ask the questions,” Kai said, his blue eyes landing on me.
I glared at him right away. “Why me? You seem pretty infatuated with Bonnie.”
“Jealousy is not a good look on you, princess,” he spoke playfully.
I had to fight the butterflies that were swarming in my stomach. “And being annoying is not a good way for us to not kill you.”
Kai laughed, “Fair. So, what do you guys want to know?”
“Why are we here? Is this my personal hell?” Damon asked quickly.
I furrowed my brows and looked up at  him. “Why do you think this is your personal hell?”
“Well, first of all my car is parked in the entry way. Yeah, I noticed that. And second… There was something bad I did during May 10th, 1994,” Damon sighed.
“Damon… What did you do?” Bonnie’s voice wavered. “Yeah, Damon, what did you do?” Kai pressed on.
“You,” Damon pointed to Kai. “Shut it. And… You guys would hate me if I told you. Like, hate me for real.”
“Oh, I bet it’s not too bad,” I smiled comfortingly.
“Nope, it’s bad,” Damon sighed. “Well, then tell us,” Bonnie pushed.
Damon sighed, walking from the back of the couch to the armchair. He slumped down. “I… I killed a pregnant woman.”
The plate that was once in my hand clattered to the ground.
“You what!?” Bonnie exclaimed.
“Not one of my best moments,” Damon sighed.
“W-Why?” I stuttered, racking my brain for any type of logical explanation.
“Cause I was mad at Stefan,” Damon shrugged. “And that justifies the fact that you killed a pregnant woman?” Bonnie shouted.
“Yeah, yeah, I know! I’m a horrible person, okay?” Damon exclaimed, shooting up from his seat.
“You’re worse than I thought. How can Elena love you!” Bonnie scoffed.
I stood up in-between them. “Okay, not the time, guys. We need to ask Kai questions.”
“And before you do that, I need you guys to get a few things for me,” Kai said.
I groaned, “What now?”
“Well, I need to make a list, and I can’t if I’m all tied up.”
I rolled my eyes. “Fine.” I went over to him, untying the rope. I then got a paper and pencil and handed them to him.
“Thank you, honey,” Kai gave me an eye-blinding grin.
“Yeah, whatever,” I muttered, going to the kitchen to get a dustpan to sweep up the broken pieces of the plate.
“Alright!” Kai announced after a few moments. “All done.” “Great. I’ll go out,” I said, going over and taking the paper out of his hand. Kai reached out to stop me, though.
“Nope. I want you to stay,” Kai said. “Why?” I asked.
“Because you’re so cute,” he complimented. “Shut up. I will kill you,” I sneered, jerking my arm out of his grasp.
“I’ll go. I don’t want to be around Damon,” Bonnie snarled, snatching the piece of paper.
“Bon, c’mon,” Damon said helplessly, following her to the door.
They both went out of the house. I could hear Bonnie shouting from the outside.
“Finally alone together,” Kai said.
“Yeah, no. I’m going upstairs,” I said, turning on my heels.
“If you stay I'll tell you everything,” Kai said.
I stopped in my track, turning back to him slowly. “Really?”
He nodded. “I promise.”
“Fine,” I sighed, sitting back down on the couch. Kai got up and walked over. He sat down right next to me.
I huffed and got up, sitting in the armchair.
“Fine, I’ll talk to you this way, I guess. So, what do you want to know?” Kai asked.
“Why did you kill your family?” I asked.  “Well, I was born into a coven of witches. The Gemini coven, to be exact. I was the black sheep of my family. The one whose magical ability was sucking the power out of people. My family hated me. My father hated me. He never showed me love or tried to understand me,” he explained.
“And that’s why you killed your whole family? Because you never got love?” I asked.
“Yep. Basically,” he shrugged. “Not a good enough reason,” I shook my head.
“Well, what were you expecting?”
I sighed, “I don’t know.”
“Precisely. Anyways, that’s why this is my personal hell. Not Damon’s.”
“How do we get out of here?” I asked.
“Well, there’s this thing called an ascendent. That will take us home,” he explained.
“Okay, what is it?” I asked.
“A mystical relic that was created by my family. It can harnesses the power of a celestial event and creates a portal, to which we can all then go home.”
“And where is the ascendent?” I asked. “I have no idea,” Kai smiled.
“Ugh! Seriously? How are we going to get out of here now?” “Well, the stuff I asked Bonnie to get will help us. Don’t worry,” he shrugged.
“Okay, well, I’m going to go and get ready for the day,” I said, standing up.
“And you’re going to leave me here alone? What if I kill you in the shower?” Kai asked.
“Well, I need a shower. So, if you do, at least I’ll be released from this world,” I smiled sweetly, walking off.
I heard him chuckle behind me. I sighed quietly and climbed up the stairs. I could not wait to get out of there.
I came back downstairs after 30 minutes. I first looked in the living room, seeing Bonnie and Damon with Kai.
“Took you long enough,” Damon said.
I rolled my eyes, “I assume Kai filled you in?” “Yep. I have to do a spell now to find the ascendent,” Bonnie nodded.
“And we’re gonna do that with Kai having jam on his fingers?” I asked, pointing to Kai was scooping out jam with his hands.
“Well, I’m not gonna do the spell. Bonnie will. I’ll just guide her,” Kai explained.
I hummed in reply and nodded. “Alright, well, let’s get started then.”
Bonnie and Kai went to the dining room table to work. Spreading out a big map and putting some of Kai’s blood on the paper to do a locator spell.
We watched as she tried a few times before she realised the blood wasn’t moving.
“It doesn’t feel right,” she sighed. “Maybe I need bigger map.”
“Maybe you’re just out of practice, and you suck at magic now,” Damon said.
“Ignore him, Bonnie. Pretend he’s a white noise machine,” Kai said. “That’s how I used to tune out my siblings.”
“How many siblings?” I asked casually.
“Seven,” Kai answered. “You know, all of them constantly yammering. But it, uh, taught me how to focus.” He went by Bonnie, looking her in the eye, his gaze traveling down to her lips.
A pang of jealously hit my heart. I looked down at the ground, not wanting to see them kiss, if they did.
“Easy there, big brother,” Damon remarked. “She doesn’t know you. At least buy her a drink.”
Bonnie and Kai chuckled, looking at each other. I groaned quietly, going to the kitchen to get myself a drink.
“Hey! Where are you going, princess?” Kai called.
“Somewhere where you’re not,” I grumbled.
I got out a bottle of scotch, taking a swig from the bottle.
“Woah, easy there, princess,” Damon mocked the nickname Kai had given me.
I glared at him. “Do not call me that.”
“What, I can’t, but Kai can? Sounds like someone still has a crush,” Damon sang.
“I do not!”
“You sure you don’t like him? Cause I think you two would make a great fit. He’s crazy and well, you seem to like crazy.”
I rolled my eyes. “Yeah, like you and Elena are a great fit, right? You being the one who keeps breaking up with her and all.”
I then walked past Damon and back into the living room, earning a glare from him.
“The blood’s moving towards Virginia. Can’t be right,” Kai said.
“Mm-mm. Spell’s working. It’s showing me Mystic Falls. It feels so… close,” Bonnie said, putting her hand on Kai’s jacket, candles lighting up.
“It right here,” Bonnie said, pressing her hand into his chest.
Kai took out the ascendent from his jacket pocket, an expression of shock on his face. “Very good.”
“That’s the ascendent?” I asked. “The one and only,” Kai smiled.
“Thanks for the mind games, jackass,” Damon said.
“It was just another little test. To make sure Bonnie’s magic was precise enough for the spell,” Kai explained. “I do believe we’re ready. Pack your bags, we’re going home.”
Kai then walked out of the house and to the front yard, stopping every few moments.
“You’re wandering around like a crazy man, why?” Damon asked.
“I’m looking for the exact right spot,” Kai answered, holding the ascendent up to the sky. “We need to find where the power of the eclipse is focused.”
“You know, you could have just showed us the ascendant to begin with,” Bonnie said.
“Yeah, but I wanted to feel your hand on my chest,” Kai smirked.
A frown rested upon my lips and I looked down at the ground.
“He is so annoying,” Bonnie muttered.
“You’re just not used to guys hitting on you,” Damon said. “You know, I can’t wait to get out of here,” Bonnie glared.
She then went next to me. I held my head back up, but not looking at her.
“Hey, how you holding up?” She asked. “Oh, fine,” I shrugged. “I’m getting kind of bored, though.”
“Yeah, I feel you… Hey,” Bonnie said, putting her hand on my arm. I turned to her, “Yeah?”
“Kai is a sociopath. He’s just flirting with us to get a rise out of each other. I know you don’t like him anymore, but that attraction you felt to him is probably still there. Let’s not let him tear us apart, okay? We’re stronger than some guy,” she smiled.
I smiled with her, perking up. “Yeah. You’re right. Sorry, just between him calling me pet names and the fact that Damon is always so pissy, it’s hard to be optimistic.”
“Well, I can do magic again now, so there’s one reason!” “Very true. Good job, by the way,” I complimented. “Why, thank you,” Bonnie chuckled.
We followed Kai and Damon, beginning to talk about our plans for when we got home. I looked down at the ground as she talked about her plans with Jeremy. I kicked around a rock, a pair of shoes appearing in front of me. It was Kai. Before my body could stop, I knocked into him.
His hands supported my waist, holding me up. My eyes met his and for a split second, I could see the human in him. I pushed him away though, scoffing in the process.
“A little warning next time?”
Kai just smiled down at me, then looking up to the sky. “The eclipse will happen directly overhead. In perfect alignment with the Gemini constellation. You need to dig under the tunnels below us. We’ll do the spell here,” Kai said
“Wait, why do we have to dig?” Damon asked.
“Have you never portal-jumped through an eclipse before? Okay, look, the light of the eclipse will shine down and activate the ascendant. You spout a little witchy woo and then, poof! Anyone standing in the circle of light holding the ascendant goes home,” Kai explained.
“Let me see the spell,” Bonnie said. “When the time comes,” Kai smiled.
He then walked past us three.
“Where are you going?” I asked. “Into town. I need to gather some important supplies,” Kai explained.
“Y/n, why don’t you watch over him to make sure he isn’t planning to kill us,” Damon said.
“What! No!” I protested. “You really want to be stuck with us? Digging a hole?” Bonnie asked.
“Not really,” I sighed. “Fine, I’ll go. See you guys later.”
“Have fun,” Bonnie smiled. “Oh, you know I will,” I smiled sourly as I followed Kai’s path.
I jogged to catch up with him. “Hey, Kai! Wait up.”
Kai stopped in his tracks, turning in surprise. “Stalking me?”
“Nope. More like babysitting.”
“Hm. Well, I’m older than you, so technically I would be doing the babysitting,” Kai said.
“Yeah, like you have any parental instincts. So, where into town are we going?”
“I thought you hated talking to me,” Kai said. “Just answer the damn question,” I glared.
“I’m picking up some personal belongings,” Kai explained.
“Why?” You asked. “Because 1994 has been my home for most of my life. I don’t want to get homesick when I go into the 21st century,” Kai answered.
“Hm, I see. Well, a lot has changed in the last 18 years,” I said.
“So I can see. They obviously didn’t make girls as pretty as Bonnie back then,” Kai smirked.
My lips pulled down into another frown. Him complimenting Bonnie was like a stake to the heart. I didn’t know why, but it bothered me a little too much to hear him talk about other girls. It was even worse considering that the girl he was talking about was my best friend.
“Hey, don’t be so sad. You’re pretty, too,” Kai nudged my shoulder.
“Wow, thanks,” I rolled your eyes.
“I’m serious! You’re more pretty than Bonnie!” Kai said. “Just want I wanted. You dragging my friend down so I can be complimented,” I hummed.
Kai rolled his eyes. “Women are so difficult. Look, I meant that you’re really pretty. Bonnie is, too. Just accept the fact I think you’re pretty!”
My face warmed up quickly and I hung my head low. “T-Thanks.”
“Let me guess, not a lot of guys compliment you?”
“They do, but doesn’t mean I don’t get flustered.”
“You seem pretty outgoing to me,” Kai said.
“Well, that’s probably because I hate you. I’m shy to guys I like,” I explained, putting my head back up.
“Hm… Or you just think that. You know, girls can be mean when they like a guy.”
“Yeah, in elementary school. Look, I’m not 8 anymore. I know the difference between love and hate and trust me, my feelings for you stand on the hate side.”
“Keep saying that, princess,” Kai remarked. “And stop calling me princess! God, it’s so annoying,” I groaned.
“C’mon, I know you like it, princess,” Kai teased, poking at my arm.
I swatted his hand away. “For someone who is a sociopath, you sure like to flirt a lot.”
“I am not a sociopath,” Kai said. “You sure are,” I chuckled.
“I’m not. I was just treated like the biggest embarrassment and disappointment of my family, and I’ve been stuck here for 18 years. It’s not fun going through what I did,” Kai argued.
I softened up a little. “Right, yeah. So, how long do we have to walk for?”
“Not very long,” Kai said.
We walked in a weirdly comfortable silence for 10 more minutes before arriving at a house.
“This your place I assume?” I asked.
“Yep. Not the place I grew up in, though,” he said, walking up. “Because you were born in Oregon?” I guessed.
“Yep. Wow, you pay attention to what I say. So sweet.” I huffed, “Just hurry up.”
“Yes, ma’am.” I waited for him outside the house, beginning to play with the locket around my neck. I took it off, opening it and smiling nostalgically.
“I miss you guys. I wish you were here,” I said to the pictures, running my fingertips on them.
“Are you talking to yourself?” Kai’s voice sounded out of nowhere.
I jumped, immediately shutting the locket. “No. Are you finished?”
“Yep,” he nodded.
“Good, let’s hurry back.”
“Who were you talking to?” He asked as we started our journey back to Bonnie and Damon.
“Nobody,” I answered. “So you were talking to yourself?” Kai pressed.
“Yeah,” I admitted. “Why?” He asked.
“It’s none of your business,” I said quickly. I hoped he got the hint that this was something that I would never share.
“Oh, please? You know, like, everything about me!”
I groaned, “No, Kai! Stop it.”
His eyebrows raised, his lips curling up into a smile. “Alright, Miss Fussy.”
I went in front of him, walking fast. We finally got back to the big hole that was now in the middle of the forrest.
“Now will you show us the spell?” Bonnie asked, panting.
“Not yet,” Kai said. “Why? We’ve done everything you want. Just get us out of here,” Damon said.
“I just… I can’t. Not yet,” Kai shrugged.
I scoffed, “Now is not the time to be a dick.”
“Wait,” Bonnie said, staring hard at Kai. “He doesn’t know the spell. Which means we don’t need him. Motus.”
Suddenly the pickaxe that Damon had flew up and plunged Kai in the heart, missing my arm by a centimeter.
“Bonnie!” I shrieked.
“What? You never liked him anyways,” Bonnie shrugged. “I have my grimoire right here, I’ll find the spell.” Bonnie pulled out the spell book from her backpack.
“Yeah, and how long is that gonna take?” Damon asked. “Not long if you two let me concentrate,” Bonnie said.
Damon groaned and walked over to me. “She seems way too calm.”
“She’s not one to freak out like you or Caroline. I’m a little mad at her, too, but I know she’s got this,” I shrugged, taking a seat on the dirt.
“Find the spell yet, Bon-Bon?” Damon asked, leaning against a tree.
“It’s been 2 minutes,” I swatted Damon’s leg. “No, but I think the Gemini coven used a Bennett spell to create this place. That's why my grams sent me here,” Bonnie explained.
I smiled at her, “Great thinking!”
Bonnie thanked me with a nod, holding the ascendent up in her hands and muttering an incantation. My jaw dropped as I saw the ascendent move outwards.
“And this is why Kai never killed me. He needed a Bennett,” Bonnie smiled triumphantly.
“See, I told you she knew what she was doing,” I smiled up at Damon.
“Yeah, well, I did, too. I was just giving her a hard time,” Damon shrugged.
Bonnie chuckled. “You guys ready to go home?”
“Hell yeah!” I exclaimed and jumped up.
We all jumped down the hole that Bonnie and Damon dug up, landing in a cave. Bonnie wasted no time dropping her blood onto the ascendant. She muttered the spell, the ascendent winding out further.
“Ready, guys?” Bonnie asked.
I nodded, walking up to her and putting my hand under her’s. Damon put his hand under mine.
“Let’s go home,” I smiled, tears threatening to fall out of my eyes.
As Bonnie was about to say the spell, an arrow struck just right under my heart and sent me flying. Another arrow also hit Bonnie. I hit a pile of rocks, my head turning to whoever hit me. It was Kai.
“Forgetting someone?” He asked. “Did you really think I haven’t tried to kill myself before? Because I have.” He loaded up the crossbow again.
Damon made a move for the ascendent that was now on the floor.
“Grab that or the next arrow will be in their hearts. Your choice.” Kai threatened.
Damon sighed and sped over to Bonnie, pulling the arrow out from her body. She screamed in pain, my eyes widening as I watched Kai take the ascendent.
“Damon!” I exclaimed as Damon as about to feed us his blood.
Damon fed Bonnie his blood quickly and ran up to Kai, knocking the ascendent out of his hand. My eyes fell to the ascendent as it was close enough for me to try and grab. I tried to reach, but Bonnie was a few steps ahead of me. She then bent down to me, ripping the arrow out of my side. I screamed in pain, tears streaming down my face.
“We’re gonna get you out of here, okay? Just put pressure on this,” Bonnie said, grabbing her jacket around my wound.
I shook my head, smiling sadly. “No, I-I won’t make it. You and Damon go. You guys have too much to live for. Me? I have no family there, and we all know Caroline and Elena miss you more.”
“That is so not true,” Bonnie said. “When you were gone at camp for those 3 summers, all Care and Elena could take about was how much they’ve missed you. And I know for a fact that Tyler, Matt, and especially Stefan miss you, too. We are getting you out of here.”
“We are, Y/n. Otherwise Elena would kill me,” Damon groaned from behind me. “I would rather be killed by my hot, vampire girlfriend instead of this psycho. A little help Bonnie?”
Bonnie nodded, muttering a spell that sent Kai flying back. Damon then came over and lifted me up, carrying me over to Bonnie. We stood under the light and I looked up, smiling happily.
“I’m getting out of here,” I sighed.
“Not on my watch!” Kai exclaimed. As soon as we started to float up, Kai ran over to Damon and knocked me out of his arms.
“No!” I screamed.
“Y/n!” Bonnie exclaimed as she shot up in the portal.
I watched with hot, burning tears as Bonnie and Damon disappeared. I sobbed in pain and sadness, looking at Kai with a watery gaze.
“Why?!” I screamed.
“Because like you said, you don’t have any family there. Me neither, so there’s no reason for you to get back to your home,” Kai explained with a shit-eating grin.
“Screw you,” I muttered distantly. I felt my eyes begin to droop. My breathing was so shallow, I could barely feel my heartbeat. I looked up to the light that was shining down. Where my friends once were.
“Sleep well, princess. I’ll see you soon.” Was the last thing I heard before I lost all consciousness.

the little that i know, i’ll tell to you
“He’s really cute,” Roger says. “Perfect, like you said.” “I know,” Jake says in a low voice, so that only Roger will hear. “You get one chance, by the way. So you know. One.” Roger raises an eyebrow. “One chance to…?” “If you hurt him somehow, if you fuck this up in any way, if you let him get attached to you and then just leave…” He looks from Mac to straight into Roger’s eyes. “You're out. I won't hesitate.”
In which Roger learns how to be a grandpa, and Jake how to be a son and a dad at the same time. Featuring newborn, two-year-old and seven-year-old Mac. (Also, the backstory for that toy airplane from the season 8 trailer clip.)
excerpt below; read the whole story on ao3
a.k.a happy jake’s first father’s day a.k.a DAD! JAKE! DAD! JAKE!
Jake is seconds away from calling his dad to cancel their visit to the hospital.
He figures that might make him an asshole, but an air of calm has finally draped over their hospital room, and the selfish part of him can't bear the thought of breaking their precious bubble. Mac is resting against Amy's raised legs in the hospital bed, not quite sleeping but not quite awake either, and the new parents are watching his every movement with utter fascination. Jake never knew seeing someone blink, or yawn, or even cry for food, could be so freaking cute. He's been staring at his son for the whole day, and he has yet to grow tired of it.
He always knew their kid would be perfect, but nearing sixteen hours of his existence out in the world, he's starting to realize he had no idea just how perfect. Jake’s mesmerized by this child, feeling certain that his heart is now resting outside his body and in the hands of this perfect person he’s played a tiny part in creating. Mac's wearing the pajamas with grey stars they bought the first day they knew they were having a baby, and it still baffles Jake to think it was him they bought it for all along, even if they didn't know it yet.
“When did you say your parents were coming?” Amy asks, because even though they've had no sleep and she literally pushed a human out of her not even twenty-four hours ago, she's the most together one between the two of them.
“Too soon,” Jake mumbles, holding one of Mac’s little fists in his. “My mom said they were leaving now.”
“Your first family visit, baby.”Amy bends to kiss her son’s forehead. “Bloodwise. The Nine-Nine was first. You ready? Excited?”
Mac only whimpers in response, scrunching his face together and clenching his fists tighter.
“Mm, I feel like he has doubts.”
“Or he’s hungry again. Can you get me the nursing pillow?”
Jake reaches for it at the foot of the bed, helping Amy with it as she carefully places Mac at her chest, opening her grey cardigan and the clasp of the nursing bra.
“You're totally becoming a pro at this,” he tells her as their son starts eating, and Amy smirks, mouthing a thank you as she leans back against the bed with Mac. “But seriously, Ames, are you sure you're okay for a visit? I could still call them, I’m sure they'd get it.”
She gives him a confused look. “Why wouldn't I be?”
“I don't know, because you just gave birth and have barely slept since? If you’d rather meet your in-laws another day, it’s understandable.”
“That's sweet, babe, but I promise I’m fine. And it's their first grandchild.”
“Yeah, but…”
He trails off, unsure of what he's protesting. His mom has talked his ears off about it every time he's talked to her for the last six or so months, and he's received a complete barrage of enthusiastic texts from her since yesterday. Jake is excited for his mother to meet Mac – his hesitation lies with his father.
Mac makes a funny noise, like a hiccup and a swallow at the same time, and Jake feels his heart fill again with the feeling of overpowering love for his son. He's only known him for a day, and already, he's sure he'd go to the ends of the earth for this kid. Nothing will ever get to hurt him.
Then Jake wonders if his dad felt the same about him when he was born, and there's a sharp sting of anxiety at the thought.
“I’m nervous for my dad to meet him,” he confesses to Amy. She nods, like she was expecting him to say it. “I know I said I’d give him a chance, but if he screws up, I seriously might never forgive him. Not with this,” he says, tickling the palm of Mac’s hand. There’s a bruise on it from where the nurses took his bloods earlier, at which Mac had whimpered slightly and Jake had fully teared up. “Not with him.”
“You don’t have to,” says Amy, as if that, too, was obvious. “But I think you should give him that chance. Especially considering they’ll be here in ten minutes, so it’s a little late now.”
“I know,” he sighs. “I will. I love you.”
“I love you, too. So does Mac,” she adds, adjusting him in her arms when he starts to pull away. “Maybe especially if you help him get out that burp right about now.”
“The mission I was put on this earth for.”
It’s with reluctance that Jake even manages to leave the hospital room when his phone beeps to let him know that his mom and dad are waiting in the hospital lobby, because Mac had just fallen asleep on his chest, and his little squeaky protests when he had to move him to Amy’s arms were almost too much.
He spots his parents the moment he's turned the corner to the entrance hall, barely raising a hand in a lazy wave before he's almost toppled by the force of the hug from his mom. She squeezes him tighter than he remembers being hugged since the day he told her he was going to be a grandmother.
“Sheesh, mom.” Jake blushes. “You know I’m the one who's been through the least, right?”
Karen lets out a snivelling chuckle as she lets him go. “I can't help it. I can't believe I’m a grandmother!”
“Well, you better, because you've got a grandson who's very excited to meet you. I think.”
She smiles. “How is he doing? How's Amy?”
“Mac is perfect, Amy's a hero,” he says, near automatically. He notes that Roger is standing a few steps behind Karen, holding a gift bag in one hand and shifting on his feet. Jake wonders when he last saw his dad actually look nervous. It's a rare sight, he thinks.
“Hey, dad,” he mumbles, and Roger nods.
“Congratulations, son.”

Toph moves in next door and and Sokka doesn’t realize she’s blind for a while?
Ooh la la. Oblivious Sokka is good Sokka. As always, let me know what you think and feel free to send in more prompts! For whatever ships, too, not just tokka.
Her window is closed. Again. Sokka sighs and stuffs his binders into his backpack. Hefting it onto his shoulders, he casts one last look at the green curtains that cover the window next door before going downstairs.
"Any luck today?" his sister teases as soon as he sets foot in the kitchen. Their father clicks his tongue at her from the stove, and their grandmother rolls her eyes over her steaming cup of tea.
He glares at Katara. "No, and I'd appreciate it if you went back to taking no interest in my life."
"Hey, I want to meet her too." She takes a bite of her pancakes. "I'd just prefer to do it in, you know, a non-stalker way."
"I am not a stalker," he counters. "I... I want to know what she does in there."
"What she does in her bedroom is none of your business, Sokka," his father says, sitting down beside their grandmother. "Surely you understand the meaning of privacy."
"Of course I do, I just..." he throws up his hands in frustration. "Look, I don't have to explain myself to you guys. I'm curious about her! She's been there three weeks, and those curtains haven't moved."
"She probably wants to hide from your ugly face," his grandmother says, but her eyes are smiling. He can't be mad at her.
"Ha, ha, Gran-Gran," he says.
"She's probably just waiting for the first day of school," Hakoda says. "Speaking of which, you two better hurry up if you want to get there on time."
He nods and grabs a piece of toast from his father's plate, shoving it in in his mouth.
"Wait for me!" Katara hurriedly swallows the last of her pancakes and grabs her own bag, sliding up into place beside him. "We haven't walked together since last year."
"There's a reason for that," he says, but allows her to walk through the door ahead of him. Hakoda and Gran-Gran call out farewells as it slams shut.
They make their way down the path from their front porch, and Sokka's eyes can't help but wander to the house next door. This doesn't slip past his sister.
"If you want to meet her so bad, just go and ring the doorbell," she says.
"What? No, I can't do that!" he snaps. "I don't-" Abruptly he stops and kicks her in the shins. She yelps.
"Ow! What was that fo-"
"Shhh!" he hisses in her ear. "Here she comes. Act casual."
She rolls her eyes but gets out her phone and pretends to check it. He does the same, but his gaze remains fixed on the opening door.
A girl about their own age walks out, but she's shorter than them both. Sokka thinks maybe she's around Katara's boyfriend Aang's height. Her black hair is in a bun at the back of her head, but pieces are tumbling down to her shoulders. She switches her bag from her right shoulder to her left as she walks out, and she doesn't even glance their way. Her eyes remain steadily forward.
"Hey, she's cute," Katara whispers. He barely hears her - the door opens again, and this time a middle-aged woman steps out. She fixes something on the girl's bag, but her daughter seems to be pulling away. He catches fragments of their conversation.
"- don't need your help, I've got it, Mom!"
The woman sighs. "Why must you be so difficult?"
"So I'm stubborn," she mutters. "Sue me." She begins walking toward a car parked in the driveway when the woman calls out again.
"Oh, Toph, I forgot. Your father has a meeting this morning, he needs to take the car. You'll have to walk to school."
As the girl protests, he registers Katara elbowing him in the side. "Toph," she says. "Her name is Toph."
"I know, I heard," he tells her. "I think she needs a ride."
"She can just walk to school, can't she?"
"I don't know, maybe if you would shut up we could find out." He tunes in to his neighbor's conversation once more.
"You know I can't do that, I don't know where I'm going!" Toph is saying.
"Just figure it out," her mother says, waving her hand vaguely.
For some reason this enrages Toph. "Are you kidding me? You know I can't!"
"I'm sorry, dear, you'll have to cope. The housekeeper is supposed to be here any minute and I have to show her how to do the basement steps." The woman promptly turns and slams the door in her daughter's face.
"Argh!" Toph angrily tears at her hair. The bun falls apart, but somehow this makes her even prettier. In her rage she turns to where they're standing, and he jumps at the sight of her eyes.
They're pure white.
"Oh, my goodness," he hears Katara breathe. "Sokka... I think she's blind."
"Yeah." Suddenly he feels himself getting angry along with his neighbor. "And her mom just told her to 'figure it out?' What the hell?" He begins walking toward Toph. "I'm going to offer her a ride. We can take the van."
"Okay," she says. "I'll go start it." She hurries off just as Sokka reaches the girl.
"Um." Hesitantly he puts his hand on her arm so she knows that he's there. Immediately she stiffens. "Hi there. Uh, I'm Sokka."
"Wha - where did you come from?" she asks, clearly rattled from her argument with her mother.
"I - I live next door," he says. "Me and my sister are going to school, and we couldn't help overhearing your conversation, and that you seemed to need a ride..."
She's calming down now, smoothing her hair and taking a few deep breaths. She faces him, and he gets a closer look at her eyes. He can't seem to tear himself away.
"That would be good, thanks," she says. "Where's the car?"
He points before remembering she can't see it. "My sister's getting it, she'll pull up in a minute."
"Okay." She holds out her hand. "I'm Toph. Toph Beifong."
"Cool name," he says, shaking it.
She grins, and he decides that he likes her. "Thanks. Yours is pretty cool, too. What's your sister's name?"
"Katara."
"Whoa." Her eyes widen. "Like katana? Like the sword? That's so cool."
He laughs at that. "Yeah. She's as sharp as one, too, and just as deadly."
"That sounds great. The deadlier, the better, I always say."
"As you should." He nods approvingly just as Katara pulls up with their family van. She beeps with good measure.
"Hi!" she calls to Toph. "I'm Katara!"
"Hey," she says back. Addressing Sokka, she says, "Um. I'm sure you've seen - I mean, you know about the whole blind thing?"
"Uh, yeah. Just... figured it out."
"Right, right. Well, seeing as I have no idea where the car is, I could use a hand."
"Oh. Um, right." He quickly grabs her hand and helps her into the van, which has its doors open. Her back is almost touching him, and his heart is pounding wildly, and he is willing himself to Not Freak Out, but it's hard when there's a really cute, really funny girl propped on your chest.
"Thanks," she mumbles when they're all seated. He turns back to see her in the back, and, just for a moment, her eyes seem to meet his. He smiles.
"You're welcome."

Marinette Dupain-Cheng’s Spite Playlist: Remix CH7
Happy Valentine’s weekend, my dears! To make up for missing last week, I’m sharing two chapters today. Maybe if you’re all really good, and I have time I’ll share chapter 8 on Sunday. That’s where the fun begins ;) Are you ready for it?
--------------

Chapter 7: Shake It Out
My dear sweet Marinette,
How are you, my fairy? I hope that this letter finds you well. When you backpack over Russian mountains, you take whatever mail service you can get. I have so much to tell you about my latest trip, but first I have some exciting news for you!
During my last stay in Africa volunteering to build homes in a humble little village, I ran into a sweet little fairy by the name of Clara Nightingale. She says she met you! Did you know she’s a famous pop star? Anyway, she and I spent a lot of quality time together teaching young children how to read, and I showed her the scarf you knitted me for Christmas. She loved it! She says she will be in Paris again on the 18th and wanted to meet with you about designing for her, so I gave her the address to the bakery. She said she would stop by and see you.
“No way, no way, no way!” Marinette shrieked, kicking her feet. “Clara Nightingale wants me to design for her! I’m gonna faint.”
“This is an amazing opportunity for you, Marinette,” Tikki said as Marinette paced the floor, hugging the letter. “Tomorrow could change your life!”
“I know, Tikki! I’m so excited to- wait.” She stopped abruptly. “Tomorrow?”
“The letter said the 18th,” Tikki said, and Marinette raced over to pull down her calendar. “Isn’t that-”
“Tomorrow! Clara Nightingale is coming to my house. Tomorrow. To look at my designs!” Marinette clutched her cheeks as rapid breaths shook her shoulders. Tikki covered her ears as another scream emitted from Marinette’s throat. “This is a dream come true, Tikki!”
“It’s not that surprising. Gabriel Agreste liked your designs, and Clara attended the show, so it’s not like she’s unfamiliar with your work.” Tikki pointed out. “Plus, you’ve designed for Jagged before too.”
“I know, but getting commissioned by celebrities at 14 isn’t something you just get used to.” Marinette fell onto her chaise with a sigh. “I can’t wait to tell Macy, Eliott, and Martin! They’re gonna freak out.”
“What are you going to do about Chloe?”
Marinette waved it away, reading over the letter again. “I’m going to ignore her. She has no power over me.”
“True…” Tikki said. “But she did have a point. You always look out for your friends.”
“Yeah, but how many of those ‘friends’ came to visit me when I left?” Marinette said pointedly.
“Is that why you left? To see who would come?”
Marinette set the letter down and pursed her lips. “That’s one reason. I wanted to get away, but I also wanted to see who my real friends are,” she said. “I wanted to see who cared enough to chase after me, and I guess Adrien is the only real friend I had after all. Funny how I spent all that time hoping he would notice me when in reality, he’s always been on my side.”
“He thinks really highly of you.” Tikki flitted over to rest beside her.
“I know. My heart was beating so fast when he said those things earlier. Do you think it means he likes me?” Marinette smiled up at her ceiling, biting her lip.
“It definitely means he knows how amazing you are, and I’m sure you can catch his attention romantically too. Especially now that you two are hanging out so much,” Tikki said.
“I feel like all of my dreams are coming true.” Marinette buried her face in the throw pillow with a squeak.
“With everything you give to the city, I think you deserve it,” Tikki said.
“Well, one thing is for sure, I need to defeat Hawkmoth before I become a famous fashion designer and go to New York. That’s priority number one. Chat Noir, Rena- oh-” Marinette sat up abruptly.
“What’s the matter?”
“Well, Alya and Nino are Rena Rouge and Carapace, but after everything… I don’t know if I still trust them,” she said. “I don’t doubt that they would help Ladybug, but if I know who they are, then it might affect me. Do you think I made a mistake picking people close to me?”
“I think that’s a question for someone with more experience picking.” Tikki advised.
Marinette drummed her fingers on her thigh. “You’re right, Tikki. Let’s go.”
Master Fu was playing cards with Wayzz when Marinette knocked on the door and poked her head in. “Master?”
“Marinette, what brings you here?” He lowered his hand calmly.
“I could use some advice. Do you have a minute?”
Wayzz peeked over his cards with a huff. “We are in the middle of a game,” he said matter-of-factly, but Master Fu cast him a sly smile.
“It’s okay.” He splayed his royal flush for Wayzz to see. “I was just winning. What is on your mind?”
Marinette sat on the mat, hugging her knees to her chest as Wayzz zipped off grumpily. Taking a deep breath, she dove in, sparing no details—Volpina, Lila, her friends, changing schools, leaving Alya. Everything. Master Fu listened patiently while she talked, sipping his tea thoughtfully every now and then.
“I’m sorry, Master, but I think I made a mistake picking my friends to be Rena Rouge and Carapace.” She finished, head hanging low. “I don’t think I’m fit to choose our partners anymore.”
“Marinette,” Master Fu said with one of his kind, grandfatherly smiles. “We cannot blame ourselves for the actions of others. Your friends have made choices outside of your control. That does not mean that your judgment was lacking when you picked them. People change, and that is no one’s fault, just the natural order of things.”
“So, you won’t be mad if I pick someone else next time I need help?” Marinette glanced up at him like a small child waiting to be scolded.
“You must pick allies you can trust—whoever that happens to be in the moment,” he said.
“Thank you, Master.” Her shoulders relaxed. “Sorry to interrupt your game.”
“It’s okay. I have a large lead on Wayzz.” He chuckled. “Come back anytime.”
“I will. And next time, I’ll choose people I know I can count on.”

“You’re in an awfully good mood,” Macy remarked as Marinette took her seat in home room.
“Did something good happen? Spill!” Eliott leaned in.
Marinette glanced around the room to ensure their classmates couldn’t hear them. “Can you two keep a secret?”
“Oh, if there’s anything we aristocrats know how to do, it’s keep secrets.” Eliott assured her.
“Yeah, you’re our friend now. You can count on us.” Macy echoed with an encouraging nod.
Marinette bit her lip, leaning in close to whisper, “Clara Nightingale wants me to design for her.”
“No way!” Eliott gasped.
“Marinette, that’s huge.” Macy squealed before regaining her composure. “Don’t worry. We will totally keep it on the down-low, but I can’t wait to see the look on Gabrielle’s face when it goes public.”
“Pretty soon you’ll be buying your own yacht, Marinette,” Eliott said with a laugh. “Speaking of, you still need to see mine.”
“Oh, and we should totally have tea at my house! We just had the theater redone,” Macy added.
“I’d love to,” Marinette said. “Clara is supposed to come over today, so I’ll tell you how it goes.”
“We want all of the details tomorrow,” Macy said as Mr. Mercier entered the room and called for everyone to settle down. “We can rendezvous at my place this weekend.”
“Sounds good.”
When school ended, Marinette rushed home, a giddy smile tugging at her cheeks. What type of design would Clara want? A dress? Or maybe a tasteful pantsuit? Her mind was already buzzing with ideas. Hopefully, she didn’t mess everything up. What if she designed something, and Clara hated it? Or worse what if Audrey Bourgeois slammed her design in the next issue of her magazine because she refused to help Chloe? Then it could ruin Clara’s career, and it would be all Marinette’s fault!
“Hi, sweetie. How was school?” her mom greeted when she entered the bakery.
“Fine, except I have no talent, and I’m going to ruin Clara Nightingale,” she said.
“That’s not true. My daughter has all the talent in the world. She can do anything!” Her dad scooped her into a tight hug. “After all, she comes by it naturally.” He gestured to a large wedding cake resting in the back.
“You’re just nervous, sweetie. You’re going to be great,” her mom said.
The bell above the door chimed, and a woman wearing a hat and sunglasses entered. Marinette’s father put her down and resumed his post in the back while her mother returned to the cash register.
“Welcome! What can we get for you today?” her mom asked politely.
“What I’m after isn’t a sweet treat; there’s someone here I want to meet.” She lowered her sunglasses to peek over at Marinette. “It’s been some time since we’ve seen one another, but your designs are truly like no other.”
“Clara Nightingale! You’re here!” Marinette gasped.
“I want to ask you a request of mine. I’ll run it by you if you’ve got time.”
“Yes, I have so much time!” Marinette said, then composing herself, gestured to the back door. “Why don’t we chat upstairs?”
“Fine by me. This request is top secret, you see,” Clara said. She followed Marinette up to the apartment, and once they were safely away from the public eye, she removed her disguise with a sigh of relief. “Thank you for meeting with me. I assume you read your grandmother’s letter.”
“I did. It arrived yesterday.” Marinette nodded, putting on a pot of tea.
“Excellent! Then you know why I’m here.”
Marinette turned and found herself face-to-face with Clara, nearly dropping the teabags in surprise.
“Ever since I met you, I felt a connection between us like our destinies were entwined. I loved the hat you designed for Adrien, and Jagged has only ever told me great things about you. Then of course, Gina’s scarf was to die for, so, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, would you be willing to design for me?” Clara dropped onto one knee.
“Doesn’t Gabriel Agreste usually design your clothes? Wouldn’t you rather see a professional?” Marinette asked.
“Gabriel’s designs are wonderful, but I think you can capture my essence for this. I’ve been nominated for a music award, and I want you to design my dress for the ceremony.” Clara took her hands with a confident smile. “You and I are both passionate about our crafts, and I think you can bring something that Gabriel can’t, so what do you say?”
Clara’s gaze bore into hers hopefully, and Marinette shifted her weight. “I’ll do my best.” Marinette gulped, and Clara bounced in delight.
“Thank you, Marinette! This favor is one I won’t forget!” Clara pulled her in for a tight hug. “Your willingness means so much, and very soon I’ll be in touch.”
Clara trotted out the door happily, hat and sunglasses in hand, leaving Marinette standing in the kitchen, stunned. She blinked out of her trance when the teapot on the stove screeched and set it aside, barely capable of containing her smile.
She couldn’t wait to tell her friends this.

Adrien removed his fencing gloves with a sigh. Another long day of watching Lila manipulate everyone. Even he had to admit it was getting old, especially since Nino spent most of his free time helping Alya with her deputy duties, which were really Lila’s class representative duties that she came up with excuses to get out of.
He ripped open his locker and tossed the gloves into his bag, thinking back to Marinette’s anguished sobs the previous evening. Seeing her so upset was nauseating in a way Adrien had never felt before. Maybe it was because Marinette was always positive and upbeat, doing her best to help others even when she had problems of her own. Someone like her being so broken and hurt was painful to watch. He wanted to help her in some way, but how could he? He could barely stand up to Chloe, let alone Lila.
“Why the long face?” Kagami’s voice startled him.
He turned to face her as she leaned against the locker next to his.
“Just tired.” He slung his bag over one shoulder with a shrug.
“You’ve been like this for the past week,” she remarked as he paced up the aisle toward the door. “Ever since Marinette left.”
“It’s been a long week. I’ve had a lot going on,” he said flatly.
“You miss her.”
Adrien stopped short at the end of the row and glanced back at Kagami over one shoulder. “Why wouldn’t I? She’s my friend.”
Kagami shoved away from the locker, approaching him slowly—lithe like a cat stalking her prey. “I wonder why she left so suddenly. Rumor has it that she had a jealousy spat with that Italian girl in your class,” Kagami said. “What was her name again? Lie-la?”
“Yeah,” Adrien said curtly, adjusting the strap of his bag.
“She sure has everyone enamored.” Kagami paused beside him and cocked a hip. “Well, almost everyone.”
“Why do you care?” Adrien’s eyes narrowed.
“I don’t.” She shrugged.
“So why bring it up?”
“Because you and I both know the truth, and I suspect Marinette does too.” She tilted her chin to meet his gaze. “She’s a liar.”
Adrien let out a breath, the stiffness in his shoulders fading. “How’d you find out?”
“She claimed that her great grandfather was a world-champion fencer who invented a secret technique, but my family has held the championship title for the last six generations,” Kagami said. “Plus, her stories are so obviously farfetched and self-congratulating.”
“Tell that to everyone else,” he grumbled.
It’s not really my place. I don’t even go here.” Kagami shrugged again. “Besides, to everyone here, I’m just the ice queen.”
“So, you’re stuck with this knowledge too.” Adrien deflated with a sigh.
“After what happened with Marinette, I have no interest in confronting her. If your classmates want to be sheep, I say let them,” she said. “No sense in letting it upset you. They could easily figure it out if they applied an ounce of brain power.”
“Well, yeah, but she’s using all of them. I thought her lies were harmless, but she has everyone bending over backwards to help her. Now Marinette left the school hurt… I’m starting to get a little fed up.” Adrien averted his gaze, the wave of nausea returning to his stomach.
“So, call her out then,” Kagami said as if it were obvious. “People trust your word, and you have enough celebrity pull to prove it.”
“Yeah, but…” He winced.
“Adrien, your friends will only continue to suffer if you stay silent. Action is the only way to help them.” When he lowered his head, she rolled her eyes and pushed past him. “I hope your friends see the light eventually. For your sake. See you tomorrow.”
Adrien’s hands clenched into fists as she sauntered from the locker room, biting his tongue as anger swelled in his chest. Letting out a heated breath, he stalked toward the door, blinking in surprise when it opened.
Lila stepped in front of him and wasted no time latching onto his neck. “Adrien, you’ve been avoiding me,” she said with her sugary-sweet lilt. “You promised to help me catch up on my school work.”
“Sorry. I don’t think I can. Why don’t you ask Max?” He unhooked her arms and pushed her away gently.
“But you promised!” She pouted.
Her whiny tone sent a shiver down his spine, and he tried unsuccessfully to mask his grimace. “I’ve got a lot going on, Lila. Photoshoots, private lessons, that sort of stuff.” He took a purposeful step away from her.
“You seem to have enough time to go visit Marinette,” she said pointedly, crossing her arms over her chest. “Don’t think I haven’t noticed.”
“Lila-”
“She’s the one who’s lying, ya know. I’m sure she has told you all kinds of nasty things about me, but they’re false,” Lila said. “She’s just trying to turn you against me because she’s jealous.”
“That’s not true, Lila.” Adrien’s anger boiled hotter. “Marinette just wants to move on.”
“Is that why she went to Jagged Stone’s concert just to try to make me look bad?”
“No, that’s not-”
“Alya is still upset over their fight. Marinette ripped her heart out and stomped on it.”
“There’s more to it than tha-”
“Honestly, Marinette is the worst person I’ve ever met.”
Something in Adrien’s chest snapped—a rubber band stretched too far.
“How do I know when I should stand up for myself?”
“I get a feeling in my gut that it’s the right thing to do.”
“Enough, Lila!” he shouted.
She flinched, cupping her hands over her mouth. “Adrien, I-”
“Your lies won’t work on me, and sooner or later everyone else is going to see through you too, and you’ll be left all alone. Is that what you want?” He barely gave her a moment to respond before continuing. “Marinette poured her heart and soul into her friends. She made sacrifices for them and never once asked for anything in return, and now you’ve gone and turned her best friend against her and convinced everyone that she just wanted attention. If anyone here is a terrible person, it’s you.”
Lila’s face hardened, her whole countenance darkening. “I see how it is, Adrien.” Her jaw clenched. “If you choose to side with her over me, then I can’t help what happens to you. I own this school now, and there’s nothing you or Marinette can do about it.”
Turning over her shoulder, she slapped Adrien with her hair on her way out, and he balled his hands into tight fists. A feeling he’d never felt before bubbled in his core that made him restless. Adrien always thought Lila just wanted attention, but purposefully targeting one of his friends was not okay.
A new resolve came over him, and he instructed Gorilla to make a pitstop at the Grand Paris on the way home. His fist pounded against the suite door, breaths short and hot.
Chloe was lounging in a yellow bathrobe, feet soaking in a tub of water when her butler let him in. She raised an eyebrow as he entered. “You know I’m always happy to see you, Adrikins, but I’m in the middle of an herbal soak-”
“I want to help you take down Lila.” He cut her off.
A sinister smirk spread across Chloe’s lips, her shock fading to triumphant glee.
“Excellent.”

Peter Parker - I’ll find my way to you(1)
Tumblr media
Did I watch Far From Home and decided to write about it instead of doing responsable things? Of course. This will be a little different to what you’re used to do, becuase I’ll follow the movie and dialogues mostly, only that reader is the romantic interest instead of MJ. Hope you enjoy it, I’m really excited for this series!
If Tumblr fucks this fic up and doesn’t show the tags I’m suing them
Plot: Peter Parker couldn’t be more excited for the trip. It wasn’t only the best vacation he could dream of - I mean, Europe? Cool - but they also gave him the chance to spend more time with you, his new found crush that makes him stutter and blush. He should have known that something would get in the way.
-
Spider Man far from home featuring Peter Parker as a clueless, cute baby and reader, who is Bucky Barnes’ daughter and as badass as her father.
Warnings: far from home spoilers - but come on, you’ve seen it.
“I have a plan”
Peter all but fell on the chair, dropping his bag on the ground and making a few classmates look his way. He had just ran through the hallways, nearly colliding with a few people in his way. But if he wanted to talk to Ned before the class started, and the rest of the students came in, he had to be quick. Flash was talking about how the teacher had to grab some books from the library before starting the lesson, and he had took his chance; because lately, finding Ned alone was something weird.
Said boy looked at his friend with raised eyebrows, and put his notebook away. He had been making a list about the best ways to impress an European girl, something he didn’t want to forget. Ned was determinated to meet some pretty girl and impress them with his American accent; Peter had a hard time believing that, but he didn’t dare to break his hopes.
Before talking, he made sure there was no one around who could listen to their conversation.
“Okay, first. I’m gonna sit next to Y/N on the flight” Peter rushed his words out, and Ned hummed. “Second, I’m gonna buy a duple headphone adapter and watch movies with her, the whole time”
“Right” Ned nodded, his eyebrows furrowing as Peter kept talking.
“Three, when we go to Venice – Venice is super famous for making stuff out of glass, right?”
“True”
“So I’m gonna buy her a bright read star necklace, cause her favourite colour is red” Peter shrugged, moving his hands around. “And because of, well”
“It reminds her of her father, a worldwide recognised assassin but also the man who lives five blocks away from your apartment” Ned completed. “Didn’t he drive you to the last decathlon competition?”
“Yeah, her father” Peter nodded, not even blinking at Ned’s words. “Four. When we get to Paris, I’m gonna get her to the top of the Eiffel tower, give her the necklace, and then five, I’m gonna tell her how I feel. And then six hopefully she tells me… she feels the same way”
“Oh, don’t forget step seven” Ned crossed his arms in front of his chest, and Peter missed the sarcastic remark as he reached again for his notebook, where he had written down all the steps. “Don’t do any of that”
Brown, tired eyes met Ned, and the boy felt bad for about a second. It was obvious that Peter had been having a hard time in the last months; Tony’s death, the feeling of being on borrowed time because of the ‘blip’, and the pressure of being Spiderman in a world who needed superheroes more than ever. He could count with the fingers of one hand how many hours of good sleep he had gotten that week, and they were on Wednesday. Besides, he was also stressing with the stupid plan with the steps, and the final trip to Europe.
May had had the idea of writing down the steps. He had come to her – after Ned proved to be useless for it and Happy refused to talk about girls – when he had realized he had feelings for someone. Not just someone, but one of his new friends who shared with him more than just a friendship. Y/N Barnes, friend and work-colleague, talking about avengers. And of course, crush.
“Why” he sighed, not even asking. He thought of himself as a balloon that had just been poked with a sharp needle, and was slowly deflating.
“Because we’re gonna be bachelors in Europe, Peter!” Ned said, his voice too similar to a whine.
“Ned…”
“Look, I may not know much, but I do know this” he nodded at his friend to make sure he was still listening. “Europeans love Americans”
“Really?” Peter tilted his head and raised his eyebrows, knowing that probably Europeans didn’t really care about them. If he was European, he would sure not give a damn about America.
“And more than half of them are women!”
“Okay, sure. But… I really like Y/N” he gave him a tight smile. “She’s awesome. She’s super funny in a kind of a dark way. And sometimes I catch her looking at me and I feel like I’m – She’s coming – don’t say anything!”
Ned looked to his right, and indeed, another person walked in class. Betty waved from the door at you and you gave her a small smile, still not used to her and having so many teenage attention to yourself. Still, you made an effort and contributed to some of her conversations, although most of them were monologues. Again, that feeling that Ned had had about being wrong just moments ago came back when you looked at them and lighted up at the sight of Peter.
Not a lot of people noticed, but you were nothing like your father. The stereotype of a bad mean soldier died when someone talked with you for a few minutes. You were shy, liked puppies and colour pink, and even if your jokes sometimes crossed the line of personal baggage and were a little too dark, you were funny.
You clutched the big sketchbook to your chest and skipped towards your friends. Peter kicked Ned softly under the desk to avoid him saying anything about the plan, and Ned just chuckled awkwardly.
“Hi” you smiled at them, dimples on your cheeks that made Peter mess with the pen on the desk. “Excited about the trip?
“Hey. Uh, yeah” Peter tried not to make it too obvious that he was staring at you, so he looked at Ned. “We’re just – talking about the trip”
“Yeah, and Peter’s plan”
“You have a plan?” you raised your eyebrows, and Peter felt himself stopping breathing for a moment.
“I-I don’t… I d-don’t have plan”
“He’s just gonna collect tiny spoons while we’re traveling through all the countries”
The wink that he sent his friend wasn’t at all discreet, because to do so Ned moved all his face along with his left eye. Peter didn’t feel any better with the answer, if anything it made him feel a small pressure on his chest. He turned the pen around his fingers as he looked at you again, who thankfully, looked unsuspicious. In times like that he was grateful that you still hadn’t caught everything about the sarcasm and indirect intentions.
But even you, who spent more than half of your life locked in a cell and used as leverage for the winter soldier, knew that it was something weird to do. So you hummed and made a small grimace.
“Like a – like a grandmother?”
“I’m not collecting tiny spoons” he scoffed, pointing with the pen at Ned. “He’s collecting tiny spoons”
“Oh. Okay. Well… that was… a real rollercoaster”
Peter’s eyes drifted to your wrist as you moved your hands around, and his previous mood fell like a ton of bricks. He knew he should be thankful that you were allowed to come with them to Europe, since your father wasn’t welcomed in at least half of the countries. Thick, black bracelets fell on your wrist, a huge contrast to your delicate skin. They had a small red light that was always on, unless you broke one of the rules Thaddeus Ross had set.
He had been there when the secretary forbid you to leave the country, using words as ‘freak’ and ‘danger’. Between your father, Sam and a little bit of help of Pepper Potts, he had agreed as long as you carried the bracelets. Peter himself had threatened to go and talk to him too, rambling and speeding across the walls and ceilings as he traumatised May. But then, you had asked him to stay put, and he could never say no to you.
Peter bit his lip and tried to hide his discomfort at seeing your wrists. You had to endure enough from the rest of the classmates, and he would hate himself if you dropped that smile.
“By the way, my dad gave me some stuff for you” you changed the topic, digging into your backpack for something. A metal, clanking noise came from inside. “Told me you should have it since I’m not even allowed to cut an apple if I want to stay out of jail. In case something happen”
“What – don’t!”
Peter jumped out of his seat and pushed your hand back into the bag, careful of the sharp edges. He was too busy pushing the knives back into the bag to notice how your hands touched for more than one second, or to admire how your cheeks turned pink and you eyes went wide. You were so close that he could smell your vanilla scent, and you could see the wrinkles of his sweater’s neck.
The whole class seemed to disappear around as he finally noticed what he had done. Peter was always careful of not being too close to you, in case you could get overwhelmed – like in your first day of highschool – or feel uncomfortable. His own cheeks went red, and the tips of his ears started to burn. He pulled his hand out of your bag so quick that he got a scratch on his palm; not that he cared, as he jumped back to his seat and almost fell out of the chair.
“Did you bring knives to class?” Ned squealed out. A girl nearby had noticed, but she chose to turn away.
“Well, not knives” you tried to explain. “They are like – uh – daggers? Throwing daggers. Dad got them from internet, and some of them have dents so that when you stab someone –“
“Okay, class! I’m here!” the teacher cut your conversation, and a flow of students filled the class.
You quickly ran to your place at the back, besides another boy your age, and Peter tried to follow you as you moved. He could have sworn that you smiled when you passed his side, but he wanted it so bad to be true that he could have imagined it. Most of the times he thought you were looking at him in class, and when he looked at you, there was nothing to see. Sure, you liked to sit beside him at lunch time, and never turned down an awkward proposal for a “date” with Peter, although he was the only one calling them that, as nothing ever happened.
Still, he allowed himself a sweet second of happiness as he watched you greet your classmate and pull down your sketchbook.
“Dude” Ned chuckled behind him, and Peter stared with amused eyes. “I think that went really great”
-
“Yo, Parker”
Peter turned around and saw Flash calling him from the other side of the plane. He was sitting on the closest side of the window, but even from there he could see the boy’s smug smirk. So far, the whole ‘getting into the plane and not having any problem’ was going good. He had his headphone adapter on his right hand, and was preparing himself to tell Ned to change places with MJ and let him sit with you. The rest of the class seemed fine too, and he was enjoying the trip so far.
But of course not a lot of things in his life went right, and he felt his mood lower down a bit when Flash called him. He fidgeted with the adapter on his hands and nodded at him.
“This is called an airplane” Flash said, and to Peter utter mortification, you stopped right beside his seat to look at Flash. “It’s like the busses you’re used to, except they fly over the poor neighbours instead of driving through them”
“Madam?” a kind looking woman appeared beside Flash and looked at you, smiling. “He blipped, so technically he’s sixteen, not twenty one”
“I’ll take that”
“No – no she’s – s-she’s lying! I don’t even –“
Flash trailed behind the woman as he tried to take back the drink, giving you the nastiest look he could manage. Which wasn’t too big, as he was mostly embarrassed.
When you had first arrived to Midtown, two years ago after you father went to Wakanda and Tony – as a favour to Steve, who was like you uncle – let you stay with him and attend highschool, Flash thought you were pretty. He followed you everywhere you went, tried to win you over with the stupidest and most expensive details about his life and invited you to every party. Then, he noticed that you ignored him in favour of staying with Peter, who you had met in that airport fight. And from that moment, he liked to pretend he hadn’t liked you at all.
Once he was gone, you looked at Peter and gave him a small, shy smile. He smiled back, his face melting at the sight of you. He almost dropped the headphone adapter as he watched past by, if it wasn’t for Ned catching it in the last second.
“Classic of Y/N, right?” Brad Davis appeared out of thin air, following you into the airplane and making Peter drop his smile.
“Did you know Brad was coming?” he asked Ned once the boy was out; although he didn’t stop looking at him.
“It’s… so weird” Ned chuckled, looking at Brad too. “Like, one day he’s a little kid that cried and got nosebleeds all the time, and suddenly we blip back and he’s totally ripped and super nice. And all this girls are after him”
“Not all the girls are after him”
“No man, they’re all after him”
Peter felt a sudden weight on his chest that he couldn’t describe. Brad was helping you to put your handbag on the top part of the plane, apparently saying something funny; really funny, because you weren’t using that fake smile you put when you didn’t get what was funny or what people were talking about. The sound of your laugh usually made his stomach flutter, but that time it made him feel sick. He knew he was selfish for thinking that way – you were allowed to have friends, to be interested in someone, and to like Brad.
But he didn’t know all of that, it was just you laughing with Brad. He was so busy drowning in his own feelings that he missed how you looked at him once more before sitting beside MJ.
“Anyway” Ned went back to his bag, taking out his computer. “Onto more important things, it’s an nine hour flight. We play beast slayers the whole time”
“I need your help sitting next to Y/N” Peter blurted out, finally tearing his eyes away from Brad.
“Seriously?” Ned sighed. He left his computer on the desk and tried to look miserable to Peter, who was too busy already tearing his seatbelt away.
“Yes, seriously”
“What about our plan? American bachelors in Europe?”
“That’s your plan. That’s a solo plan. Come on, this is my plan” Peter tried to remember how May told him that he could get almost anything with those puppy eyes, so he put them on for Ned; who couldn’t be more unbothered by them. But Peter really, really wanted to sit with you. “Please”
Ned threw his head back and scoffed, leaving the computer back on the bag and tugging at his own seatbelt. Maybe the puppy eyes didn’t work with him, but Peter was glad to have such a good friend.

“Y/N, sweetheart, you need to stop pacing around-”
“Don’t tell me to stop pacing around when you’re not the bride today, Mingyu.” You snapped at the latter that was sitting on the farther side of the room, glaring at the latter who held his hands up in surrender at how upset you seemed at the time being.
But who could blame you for being upset and nervous? It was the day of your wedding, and it was making you anxious because you haven’t heard a single thing from the person that you were supposed to be wed to.
The last time you talked to Joshua was last night when you finally ended your bachelorette party and spent your night cuddling with him in your bedroom, watching a drama before falling asleep. You woke up with no sign of him leaving as the bed was empty, and instead you were greeted with the sight of Mingyu, your best friend and quote ‘bro of honor’, ready to help you get ready for the day that you have been waiting for since he proposed to you last year.
You remembered the times that lead up to the very moment, from when you first met Joshua at the boba place after you spilled your boba onto him 7 years ago, to him finally asking you out two years after the incident.
The two of you were known to be inseparable, despite the fact that you sometimes butted heads jokingly because of jokes that you both dramatically spout to one another. However, this time as you were still pacing around the room, feeling as though the walls were closing in on you, you thought about what could possibly happen in the next few moments because you haven’t heard from him.
Mingyu had no updates on him, from what he has said earlier, as he was with your grandmother to help you get to your hair and makeup stylist on time. There was nothing that he apparently heard from the other members as you were rambling on about what could go wrong with your other friends and family members that could potentially happen at the wedding ceremony or the reception.
But now you were starting to think about the possibility of him running away from the wedding. From the future that you were both ready to seal at the wedding.
“What if Josh ran away? Is that why nobody has said anything to me about him?” You mumbled softly and looked at Mingyu who was still glancing at you from where he sat as he shrugs in response before sighing quietly.
“I don’t think he would run away at this point, if he was the one that proposed to you, Y/N.” He replies until you spoke up from where you were, finally stopping in the middle of the room as tears were starting to prick at the corner of your eyes.
“But what if he realized that he doesn’t love me anymore, and that this wedding shouldn’t have happened?”
A knock on the door breaks you out of your trance as you move away from it, just as Mingyu gets up from where he was sitting to go open it. He gives you a soft look as he opens it to reveal the one person that you were looking for, but blindfolded as it must’ve been one of the others’ idea to hide his eyes from seeing what you looked like in your wedding dress to avoid bad luck. Mingyu helps Joshua into the room with a small smile and leaves while closing the door behind just as you choked back a sob that was ready to escape your lips when you looked at him.
He looked like the same person that you fell in love with, the same dork that would not only joke about Mario Kart, but also hold you when the rain starts to pour and bring in the negative thoughts that you were brought upon when seeing the gloomy skies; the same person to somehow make everything feel as though the weight on your shoulders was shared with him because that was how much you meant to him.
And he made sure that he would show it to you everyday for the rest of his life, from the moment that he asked you out.
“I’m sorry, if I made you panic today, sweetheart-”
“Why didn’t you just call me, rather than walking in here with a blindfold?” You whispered almost inaudibly, scared that if you spoke up even louder that you would start crying before you could even do so with the vows you wrote for him.
“Because I spent the day thinking about us,” He whispers softly and meets you halfway while you walk over towards him, a small smile on your face just as he softly pulls you closer to him by your waist.
“And I also know about the little secret that you have been hiding for weeks now, Y/N.” He says and his hand gently moves over to where your stomach was, feeling the small bump that was starting to grow and develop.
“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner, Josh,” You whispered softly and looked at him, just as he reached up to pull the blindfold off of his eyes, and from there you were still able to see how glossy his eyes looked even with the entire galaxy enlaced in them.
“I didn’t know when it would’ve been a good time, or whether or not we would be ready-”
“We are going to be amazing parents for the little baby,” He says smiling just as he places a soft kiss against your lips, pulling you even closer so that you were now in your embrace, your chest feeling lighter as you felt as though you could finally breathe knowing that everything was going to be okay in the moments that were yet to come.
“I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you and our new family, Y/N.”

Sunshine Boy
Fandom: The Vampire Diaries Pairing: Kol Mikaelson x Male!Reader Summary: You were the ray of sunshine in Kol’s life. Word Count: 1,716 Request: “So I’ve had this idea and I tried to write it out for me but I’m just not good. So it’s about Kol Mikaelson were he meets a guy at a coffee shop and he is always so happy that he starts getting curios about him and starts calling him his sunshine and then one day he like goes missing and Kol starts freaking out gets his family involve and finds out the the reader has a painful past. I can’t do it justice but I think you can. And I would love some feedback about this idea” A/n: Pretty good idea, hope I was able to do it for you.
Tumblr media
The moment Kol walked into the coffee shop, he sees you, the barista - looking so done with every customer that has been in and will be coming in. Nevertheless, Kol takes two steps, he observed you - you took notice of his presence and put on a smile upon your face. Your back straightening as you tap your fingers against the monitor in front of you.
“Hi, what can I get for you?”
He noticed you’re by yourself, it wasn’t rush hour nor it was lunch break hours, so Kol understood why you were by yourself on guard for potential buyers. But, despite your overall fatigue and done with customers, your smile upon your face was genuine.
“Um, can I get a Mocha please?” Kol asked, his eyebrows knitting together as he had realised he was polite, he never says please but your smile must have caught him off guard.
You nodded, your smile brightening even wider, you tapped on the screen, your hand hovering for a bit before looking at him, “Size?”
What Kol noticed more was your smile, but only now, he’s taking notice of your voice. It wasn’t too deep nor too high, it was perfect on the ears, “Medium,” Kol says with a smile, teeth showing.
You nodded, more taps to the screen before grabbing a medium cup and looking at him, tilting your head as you uncapped the pen with your mouth, “Name?”
“Kol, K O L, Kol,” Kol says, though he doesn’t understand why you need his name, as he looks around, he’s the only one that ordering and you never asked if he was taking it out or not.
You nodded as you scribbled his name on the cup, Kol noticed that it takes longer for you to complete the name - his name only has three letters. What’s keeping you hold? You placed the cup down, off to the side, and tell him the price. Kol complies, surprisingly, he doesn’t compel it for free. You take the money and make way to make his coffee.
Kol moves to the side, he could be doing anything at this point. He could be on his phone, looking for new music as he seem to be loving modern music. Or, he could be observing the coffee shop and the people in the little cosy building, and yet, his interest lies on you. You turn around, a steaming coffee in hand and a bright smile upon your face that causes crinkles on the side of your eyes.
You placed the coffee on the table and slide it towards him, you both seemed to ignore that your hands had brushed against each other.
“Coffee for Kol?” You say, there was a playful tone within your face.
Kol likes how his name rolls off your tongue. There was a playful glint within your eyes as Kol
nodded his thanks. He picks it up and leaves the building, the coffee tasted lovely before he had noticed on his cup was more his name.
“Thought you’d needed to be perked up a bit” Your scrawled handwriting on his cup, underneath that was a little comic dinosaur.
He turns around to look through the mirror before noticing the cute coffee boy was gone.
Kol didn’t realise he had taken the coffee cup back home, until Elijah had mentioned to him. Kol looked down at his hand and smile himself.
“There was a really cute coffee boy there, he drew me a dinosaur.”
Tumblr media
Kol kept visiting the coffee store every day, just after lunch time, because that’s you were always shifted. He found out your name was (Y/n), but he had coined you as sunshine boy or his sunshine. You didn’t mind it, in fact, you loved having Kol come into the shop every day - he was a breath of fresh air.
“Afternoon to my sunshine,” Kol greeted, his arm out stretch above him and waving, “I’ll take the usual!”
“Coming up!”
It’s nice to have him around, it slows down the rush in your days. Sometimes, he doesn’t come alone. You meet his brothers, Klaus was funny to you. He was stiff, almost as he forgot how to act normal. His eyes narrowing down on you, Kol had to hit him because he could feel that you were getting uncomfortable. But, when Klaus sees that you’ve made effort to draw him a samurai, he loosen up and found you to be nice.
Elijah, to you, was exactly what you expected from Kol’s story. He’s sophisticated, you felt like you were serving a celebrity with the way he holds himself. Kol look like he wanted to murder Elijah because you were more focused on his brother than him. But, Elijah and Klaus likes to drop in without Kol, you get on with his brother but the two brothers could tell that you rather keep your attention on their immature brother.
Kol once brought Rebekah along, as she became curious to why the mansion was slowly overrun with your coffee cups and drawings. What she hadn’t expected was you, the cute coffee boy that Kol kept talking about.
Eyes soft, smile as bright as the sun. Shoulders relaxed and your little head tilt, that made all the Mikaelson believe you were adorable. Rebekah ordered ice coffee, but even on the plastic cup, you managed to draw a little dog - Kol had to stop her from climbing the table to give you a hug.
Kol kept visiting, whether it was alone or with someone, you never fail to give him a smile and a little bit more attention. But, one day Kol came and didn’t see you working. He was sure you’d be there.
“Hey, where’s (Y/n)?” He asked the person working, she shrugged her shoulders.
“He’s off work, called in ill, he says, doesn’t sound sick at all.”
Kol regrets not asking for your number or where you lived. He leaves the coffee shop, the family wonders why Kol is back so soon with no coffee in hand. The next day Kol asks for you again, the girl shakes her head, this time there was no explanation. So, Kol goes away, and returns the next day - this time he’s standing by the window, you’re not there.
It becomes routine, before deciding you were missing.
His family helped, looking for you in the town. Asking each person if they had seen you, Kol’s sunshine boy, the person that never failed to perk Kol up. His siblings got concerned, Kol hadn’t smiled for a good two weeks now, missing the sunshine in his life. Kol gets a message from Rebekah that she finds you at the local cemetery.
When he arrives, he sees his siblings by the gate, looking to the cemetery. Kol walks past his siblings and heads straight towards you. You weren’t wearing your uniform, so it was weird to him that you were clothed normally.
Your hands stuffed into your leather jacket, as you look at a tomb. Kol stops next to you, he takes notice that you’re wearing sunglasses and your hood was up, but he can recognise your lips - he often stares at them when you talk.
“You hide well,” Kol commented, looking at you, “Got worried when you didn’t turn up to work.”
You shrugged your shoulders, Kol doesn’t miss the wince that escapes your lips, “I got busy with personal stuff.”
Kol nods, tries not to push you, he looks at the tomb, “So...”
“It’s my grandmother and my great grandmother,” You say, pulling your hood down and taking off your sunglasses.
You sigh, and perch yourself on some broken grave, crossing your arms over your chest, wincing goes evident. Kol looks at you, his eyebrow raised. There he sees bruises around your neck, as if you were strangled. There were purple around your eye and you had a cut upon your eyebrow.
“There’s no point in asking who you’ll be fighting,” You motioned to his closed fist, Kol hadn’t realised he had done that, “Parents aren’t happy, I’m back living with them.”
“Oh?”
“I lived with my grandmother, my mother found out that she gave me the house in her will. She wasn’t happy, it’s been a few rotten days of abuse. It’s very hard not to use magic against them.”
“Magic?” Kol asked, his eyebrows shooting up to his hairline.
“Kol have you been that blind? I’m always wearing my family emblem on me,” You showed him your ring with your family crest, “For a bunch of a thousand years old original vampires, you and your siblings are brainless.”
“We can hear!” Klaus shouted from the gates.
“I’m aware,” You answered, sully, pointing to the tombstone header, “(L/n)? I believe my ancestors were friends with you, at least that’s what my grandmother and the ghost that haunt the house.”
You rubbed your temples with your fingers and Kol looked at the header, his heart at his throat. He looks back at you with a confused glanced, almost asking why you were fighting with your family for the house.
“Mother is bitter, all her children possess the family magic, she didn’t. She was skipped. My mother killed all my siblings when we were asleep. I managed to collect their magic before escaping my mother’s wrath,” You looked down, sighing, before looking back at him, “Stayed with my gran since I was thirteen.” You shrugged your shoulders, “I just want the house, Kol, is that so much to ask? And I’m afraid I’ll kill them with my magic.”
“You should, you’re powerful enough to do so.”
“I’m not like you Kol,” You smile at him, it was small, but Kol beamed, “I can’t kill family no matter how much they hurt me.”
“Well, Klaus and I will happily do it for you,” Kol suggested as you chuckled, Kol’s heart swell with happiness, “Come on sunshine boy, you can stay at ours till we’ll get this sorted.”
“Are you sure? I don’t mean to overstep.”
“Oh come on (Y/n)!” Kol shakes his head, a grin upon his face, “You’re my sunshine, you’ll never be overstepping where I am. I promise.”
He holds out a pinky, you laugh this time, your head goes back laughter as you take his pinky with yours.
“Okay, promise.”

Ateez reacting to their s/o passing out because of a diet (2/2)
❦ Genre: Fluff.

Part 1
SAN
Tumblr media
You were following San in every shop. You were meeting his grandparents in 2 days and you had nothing to wear for this special occasion. “What about this dress? I’m pretty sure that you will be beautiful on it?” You shook your head, “too short. I don’t want your grandmother to think bad of me.” “She won’t,” he raised a brow. You focused back on the clothes in front of you. You needed the perfect outfit. San didn’t know about it but when you met his mom at the supermarket the other day. You were talking about your relationship with his son when she mentioned that you gained weight compared to the first time you met her. You didn’t say anything, but it hurt you. If San learn about it, he would say that she hadn’t meant it or worse, he could agree with her. So, you managed to go on a diet and work out without your boyfriend knows it. “This one is perfect! What do you think about it?” You tilted your head and stared at the dress. It was a long dress, opened on the side but not in a provocative way. “It’s pretty,” you admitted. Plus, it would hide your body features perfectly. “You should try it,” he smiled, handing you the dress. You nodded and headed at the fitting room. Just before closing the curtains, San said, “I’ll wait you here! Can’t wait to see you wearing this!” He was so cute with you. “I’ll try my best to do it quickly,” you said. When you closed the curtains, you sat on the little bench. Your head was spinning suddenly. You held your head on your hands to calm down. “Are you done?” asked San, at the opposite side of the curtain. “Not yet…” you replied weakly. San grunted but stayed quiet. You stood up and removed your clothes, losing your balance. The hotness remaining on the little space made your head dizzier. You took a deep breath and finally wore the dress. Without looking at your reflection in the mirror, you opened the curtain, looking for fresh air but you felt like no air could reach your lungs. “Wow Y/N!” shouted your boyfriend, “You look stunning!” You tried to focus on San’s face, but everything was turning around you. You blinked to reduce the dizziness. “You should take this one! My grandma will like it for sure!” You attempted to smile but your legs flinched, making you fall on the floor. San rushed to you to help you, but you finally gave up and passed out in his arms. “Y/N?! Somebody helps me please!” Yelled San, seeing that you were not responding anymore.
A feeling of cold water woke you up. When you opened your eyes, you saw your boyfriend with a wet towel, applied kindly on your forehead. He looked right at you. “Hi sleepy head,” he smiled softly. “Hi,” you replied weakly, “what happened?” “You fainted at the mall. The manager called the emergency but just with few questions, they said that you fainted because of hard work and empty stomach.” “Oh…” you knew that he would ask you some questions, so you just confessed. “I’m on a diet and I probably went too far…” “Seems like. But why?” “I met your mother last day and she said that I gained weight…” you said sadly. San giggled, “don’t change for her Y/N! She probably didn’t mean it.” “I’m not sure…” you sat up on the couch. “She likes you so much! She doesn’t want to be mean with you.” He intertwined his fingers with yours. “And I see you every day! You didn’t gain weight at all.” “You are sure?” you asked, smiling awkwardly. “Yes, and even if you lose or gain weight, you’ll stay beautiful and stunning.” He smiled, tilting his head. “Thank you San-ie.” “Oh, and by the way. The shop gifted you the dress.” The was finally a good point but you would never do a diet this way.
MINGI
Tumblr media
In the hallway, you heard the loud music bumping through the walls. You smiled when you thought your boyfriend doing his best to practice his part on Wonderland. Due to his hiatus, he was practicing more just to get back his dancing skills. Even if you said that he was doing good as always, he ignored your compliments. You knocked at the door just to prevent of your presence. He would probably not hear it, so you got in. As expected, Mingi was dancing powerfully. He might probably train since a long time because of the sweat dripping off his chin. You set your stuff on the couch and waited the end of the song. Mingi was a real good performer. The way his moves were hard and clean was impressing you. “Hello young lady,” greeted Mingi, hugging you as always. “Ew Mingi! You are sweating so much!” You said, giggling at your sticky boyfriend. “It doesn’t bother you, sometimes.” He smirked. You rolled your eyes and pinched him a bit, “Perv.” Mingi played back the music and went back practicing. You were texting your friend when Mingi called you, breathless. “Can you help me with the choreography?” You nodded, “Yes sure! What should I do?” “Take Wooyoung spot so I can practice the last chorus.” “Okay boss.” You stood up next to your boyfriend, learning the choreography as fast as possible. He was a good teacher; it was easy to learn this intense part. You loved to do the little part with Mingi, it was powerful and funny in the same time. But the fun disappeared when your head started to be painful. It feels like a dozen of daggers were tickling your brain. “Are you okay?” asked Mingi, seeing you obviously, in pain. “Yes, just a moment of weakness.” You smiled to reassure him. “Do you want to take a break?” “No, it’s okay! Let’s practice.” He wasn’t really okay with it, but you played back the music. You faked that everything was fine, but it was worse. Your head was spinning, and you were suffocating. You were behind Mingi, he couldn’t see you struggling with the choreography and your dizziness. But when you turned around, you felt your body leaving the last energy you had. Your boyfriend turned around instantly, when he saw you fell on the mirror reflection, “Y/N!” He kneeled down to you, shaking your body when he saw that you were not answering or waking up. “Y/N! Y/N!” He yelled.
You hummed, regaining your consciousness. You opened your eyes slowly, blinking a few seconds to get used to the lights. “Are you feeling okay?” You noticed your boyfriend face in front of you. “Mingi?” “What’s wrong? You suddenly fainted!” he freaked out. You looked around you. He might carry you on the couch. “I’m fine.” “Are you still on a diet?” You nodded, knowing that he would be mad because he doesn’t like the idea of you doing a diet. “You should have been more careful…” he sighed. “And you don’t need to continue this stupid diet. You are perfect.” Both of you knew that you will continue but you will be less strict with yourself than before. “How I get so lucky?” you smiled. “Lucky? You fainted 30 minutes ago. I don’t call that being “lucky”. He raised a brow. “Lucky to have you, idiot.” You rolled your eyes. “I know, I’m an angel,” he smirked. He was annoying sometimes but so lovely as well.
WOOYOUNG
Tumblr media
Your boyfriend was dieting since few months already. He absolutely wanted to lose weight for his future promotions. You were against this idea since you liked everything about him. His tights were the thing that you loved the most. But he said it was important for him, so you just let him do it. The first days, he was struggling a lot to reduce his meals. Especially when you went out on a date. He would do his best to order a healthy food and look at you eat a burger or a pizza. When you caught him staring at your meal with envy, you took the decision to help your boyfriend. “I will go on a diet too,” you said, sipping your soda. He raised a brow, “and why? You don’t need to.” “It’s not a bad thing to be careful about my health too.” You smiled. “Being on a diet isn’t easy you know.” “I did some, you know,” you rolled your eyes. “But not mine.” “And what is so different?” you asked. “It’s 2 meals a day. Drink a lot of water and an intense work out session.” “Don’t seem impossible to me.” “And no sugar, except for breakfast. No more candies or chocolate snack that you love so bad.” He smirked knowing that you would never stop eating your little midnight snacks. You gulped but answered, “okay count me in.” One week later, you regretted everything you said. It was worse than you thought. You felt like you were craving and that all the usual energy, you had left your body. There was no change on your body or weight, and it pissed you a lot. Wooyoung lost at least 5 pounds with this diet in 1 week and you not even one. And the worse thing was that you needed to act like you were okay or Wooyoung would win his ego will explode. But it was hard to stop the dizziness that you had sometimes. Today, you were with the team backstage waiting with them. But all the staff around rushing to their tasks was increasing the race of your heart. You could hear every beat bumping in your chest. It was incredibly hot too in the room. You tugged on the couch armchair, bumping into Seonghwa’s arm. “Sorry,” you bowed politely. “It’s okay Y/N, it’s just me.” He smiled. You tried to smile but your knees were shaking too much, distracting you from the conversation with the eldest member. He noticed it and asked worried, “Y/N? Are you okay? You look-“ You fell right in his arms, unconscious. “Wooyoung!” called Seonghwa, looking for his teammate who was probably doing his makeup. “What?” he replied annoyed. When he spotted you, in a panicked Seonghwa’s arms, he rushed to you, carrying you on a calm area.
When you regained your spirit, you stood up instantly, making your head dizzier than before. “Calm down…” ordered Wooyoung pulling you down on the mattress. “My head hurts like I had a hangover.” You complained. “You need to stop this diet Y/N. It was a bad idea. Your body wasn’t ready for this big change.” He explained, rubbing your cheek. “No… If you can do it then I can do it too.” “You were the one who did it perfectly…” he bit his lip. “I ate few chocolate bars at night…” Your face decomposed, “Jung Wooyoung.” “Before killing me… I got one for you!” He handed you a snack bar, trying to be nice after his betray. “I will eat it, but I’m not done with you loser.” He smiled at you and kissed your forehead, “be careful now.” You nodded; you would probably stop this diet, but you make an effort when he needs help.
JONGHO
Tumblr media
Your boyfriend invited you at the restaurant to celebrate his 3 weeks break. He would visit his family during this time, so he wanted to enjoy a great night with you. As you were working, you wouldn’t be able to spend time with him anyway. When you got in the restaurant, you immediately spotted your boyfriend near the window. He loves to see what’s happening on the street and enjoy his meal with you. “Order what you want,” said Jongho. At this moment, you ignored what to do. You started a diet a week ago and high caloric meals were prohibited. Jongho was ignoring it since he was against these diets’ ideas. “I’m not too hungry tonight… I will just take a salad.” He narrowed his eyebrows, “it’s been a week that you are eating healthy things.” “Oh really? I haven’t noticed it,” you lied. “You are not eating as much as usual too.” “Huh, that’s probably because of my period. You know… hormones…” you lied again. “Oh, that’s a girl thing then,” he said embarrassed. “Yes! Exactly! A girl thing,” you repeated a bit too enthusiast but happy that your lie worked. He stared at you weirdly, but you changed the subject to escape. Finally, you didn’t eat that much of your salad. Eating only the ingredients that were not caloric or drown in the sauce. At the end of the meal, your belly was craving and growling more than before. “Should we go at the-“ he began. “Arcade game?” Hell yes!” you finished. He smiled and held your hand from the restaurant until you got in the game center. “What about the dance machine?” “Sure! Be ready to lose Jongho!” You said humbly, positioning yourself. Jongho laughed and played the first music. You were a pro at this song. You knew that all the chance would be on your side. “Wait… should we bet something?” He smirked, “If I win, you come with me to see my parents.” “I wasn’t expecting this but okay.” You smirked. “But if I win, we go on vacation when you have holidays again.” He nodded and shook your hand to make the bet official. You climbed on the carpet and waited the first symbols to appear. As usual, you were winning but the sudden feeling of your spinning head made you miss few combos. “Oh! Seems like that you are losing,” said Jongho happily. You tried to get back your composure, but black spots covered your vision. You knew at this moment that you were passing out due to the effort. “Y-Y/N!” yelled Jongho catching you in his arms before sitting you down slowly on the floor. All the lights were dazzling you. You couldn’t handle this anymore.
The sound of your shower helped you to go back to the reality. You sat on your bed, rubbing your face slowly. You didn’t remember how you got in your apartment, but you knew for sure that you fainted because of your diet. You would need to find an excuse when Jongho would ask you what was going on with your health. The water stopped, you rushed to find something to tell at your boyfriend. Your period? Yes it could work well. “How you feel?” asked Jongho coldly. “Fine. Seems that my period was more powerful than usual.” You smiled awkwardly. He walked toward you, grabbing the book on your nightstand. “Since when are you dieting?” “Jongho…” “Since when Y/N?” he repeated. “Few days…” you said intimidated. He sat on the bed, next to you, “how many times I need to tell you that you were pretty as you are? You don’t need these stupid diets!” he threw the book on the bed. You nodded, you felt insecure most of the times because of Jongho’s image was important. “You are the best thing I’ve never had so please don’t change anything. Promise?” he handed his pinky finger to you. “Promise.” You smiled, crossing your finger with his.

Thoughts on Grey’s Anatomy: 17X16
SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
I really liked this episode! I loved the scenes between Meredith and Bailey and Meredith with her kids. So precious! I think Meredith is the perfect person to take over the residency program now that Richard has too many jobs as Bailey says! I think she is really going to shine in this new role. In the past I thought her and Alex might wind up running the hospital with him as Chief of Surgery and her as Residency Director. While that won't happen because Justin Chambers' exit, I think it will be great to see Meredith step up and take on the role. Ultimately, I want to see her operate again and be a badass, but since she’s still recovering, I think having Meredith take this on while she recovers from COVID is a great idea.
I’m glad that we got to see Maggie and Winston disagree on something and work through it in this episode. While I think Winston did overreact a bit when Maggie was upset and a bit reluctant about the wedding planning and said that everything felt like a compromise I'm glad that they showed the two of them disagreeing and working through it because up until now they've been portrayed as the perfect couple. I loved the scene where Maggie and Winston talked about the wedding and then it was revealed that Maggie had arranged for her Dad and Winston’s Grandmother to fly in for the wedding. That was very sweet and they got the actor that previously played her Dad back!
I also really liked the patient that Maggie, Helm, and Richard treated. I felt so bad for her when she told them that her husband had died and her dog had ran away and that she wasn’t good with people. I suspected she was pretending early on because of her loneliness. I was so sad about the missing dog for the whole episode and I was ecstatic when they found him! I’m more of a cat than a dog person, but pets are family. I am also glad that we got to learn more about Helm in this episode and that she appears to have left her Meredith obsession behind. That was funny the first few times they brought it up, but then it just got weird and annoying.
Especially after both CeCe the matchmaker and Carina talked to Helm about it and told her she needed to move on and find someone that could love her back and then she went right back to being obsessed with her. That’s been her whole personality for the past three seasons. Now in this episode we learn that she likes to cook, that she makes a mess when she cooks, and that she likes to watch the news. I think Helm moving in with Levi and Jo is a good thing, but he definitely should have cleared it with Jo first and they for sure need a bigger place.
I really liked the scene with Link and Jo. I like that he called her out on the fact that she obviously wanted to adopt Luna and told her she should stop doubting herself. I was surprised and disappointed that Jo’s adoption application was denied. She's clearly formed a bond with Luna and she was ready to have kids with Alex prior to his departure and she was close to Val prior to her death. I’m curious as to why her application was denied and why she failed the background check. I hope we get a follow up to that because she would be a great Mom to Luna and I want to know what happened there.
When we found that out my first thought was, “That’s illegal!” because here in Canada and in Ontario specifically to the best of my knowledge you can’t discriminate against someone and reject their adoption or foster application because they are a single parent, have had mental health issues in the past, stole a car while homeless or lived under an assumed name while fleeing domestic violence provided they meet the other criteria such as being able to provide a safe loving home and can prove that they are financially stable and have a good support network in place.
I was confused as first, but then my friend Amy and I were talking about it and I realized that I was applying my own context to another situation. Having the right to adopt and not be discriminated against is something that the women’s, gay rights, and disability rights movements here in Canada have fought very hard for. A lot of changes were enacted in the 2000’s and 2010’s to make it easier for people from all walks of life to adopt and foster. In fact, in many cases social services will look for prospective parents who share a child’s background or history because they will be able to relate to the child in a way that a parent without that experience might not be able to.
That’s not to say that everything is perfect and that discrimination and unfair treatment doesn’t happen. It does. People can be sneaky about it. But you do have recourse here. You would be able to contest the discrimination. I’m not familiar with adoption laws and policies for Washington State where the show is set so it’s possible that this kind of discrimination may still be legal there or there may not be specific policies addressing it. If anyone does know I would love to know more as what I’m saying is based on the experiences of people that I know here in Ontario. I do think that Jo will eventually get custody of Luna. They've spent a bunch of time setting this up and dropping hints about this storyline so it would feel hollow to have it end like this. It would also put Jo back in a dark place which she just got out of for the umpteenth time.
I’m interested to see where they go with Amelia and Link’s storyline around him wanting more children and Amelia not wanting anymore. Couples getting together and then realizing at a later point that they feel differently about having children or having more children in this case is a real thing that happens. Amelia and Link started off as casual sex partners which progressed into something more serious when Amelia found out she was pregnant. They've become this beautiful family and it turns out they are a great match, but because they didn't start out with marriage and kids in mind there are bridges that they have to cross at some point. I'm glad that Link is voicing his desire to have more kids down the road now so that they can talk about it.
I totally get why Amelia doesn't want more kids. After what happened with Christopher and Ryan and then Owen, Betty, and Leo and then with Meredith's kids I get why Amelia doesn't want more children. It's a lot of work, she's been through a lot, and getting overwhelmed could impact her sobriety. Link is a good guy and way more sensitive around this topic that Owen ever was so my hope is that they'll talk it out, Amelia will share her concerns, Link will understand, and he'll fulfill that need for more kids by spending more time with Leo or Meredith's kids.
Also real talk, Owen was an absolute asshole to Cristina and Amelia when they didn’t want kids and straight up said that there was something wrong with them because they didn’t want to be with something who treated them poorly and kept trying to force them to have kids that they didn’t want. While it’s great that he gets it now and was able to offer some words of wisdom to Amelia in this episode and be supportive it doesn’t make up for or change the fact that he was god awful to both of his ex-wives because they didn’t want kids and he did. He knew Cristina didn’t want kids long before they got married and he married Amelia without ever talking about his desire to have children and just assumed she wanted that too.
He should really call Cristina and apologize because what the hell? I think it’s the difference between perception and experience. Before when he wanted kids but didn’t have any he was in love the idea and couldn’t understand someone not wanting that. Now that he has two kids he realizes how much work that is and why someone might not want that especially if they are dealing with other issues that could be impacted by having more children. I really enjoyed the patient storylines this week. I had previously read a study about what Amelia is working on and how doctors and scientists have now determined that there are two types of patients who appear brain dead.
The kind that actually are where their body is still alive but no one’s home and the kind we see in this episode where their body is still alive and they are still in there, but can’t communicate in traditional ways, but can communicate through thinking about different things to answer yes or no questions. There is a special kind of machine that is needed to scan for this and they are expensive but they’ve proven that hospitals make the costs back within a year because the machines allow them to determine which patients are actually brain dead and which can still make decisions and answer questions about their care.
Something I didn’t like about this episode was that Levi chose Nico over Dr. Mason Post the hot Vaccine Doctor. I was really rooting for them to get together and for him to start something new with someone who might actually treat him well and I was so freaking disappointed wand pissed off when Levi showed up at Nico’s place and got back together with him instead of going over to Mason’s. I’m Team Mason all the way! He's a gem. He's attractive, funny, smart, direct, and kind. He's everything Levi deserves in a partner after the nonsense Nico has put him through.
I liked Nico and Levi when they first got together, but after Nico revealed that he lied about being out to his parents their relationship went downhill fast. He's treated Levi like crap ever since and his one-time apology doesn't fix that or do anything to address the way he's acted or fix his and Levi's relationship problems. I hope Mason returns next season, Levi winds up with him, and Nico goes off to work for the Mariners as he was supposed to originally.
My only other complaint is that Meredith and Hayes didn't have any scenes together this week, but it looks like they'll have scenes in the finale so I'm happy about that. My favourite moment of the episode was when Amelia told Owen that Tom had moved to Boston to help Jackson with the changes he wanted to make and Owen thinking that he had been fired said that he hated that there was one more thing he had to like and respect about the guy. I'm not an Owen fan in general, but that line cracked me up! I’m really looking forward to the finale! I’m excited that based on next week’s promo Meredith and Hayes will have scenes together and hopefully we’ll be getting some movement on the world's slowest moving slow burn storyline!
I swear to god glaciers move faster! People have gotten engaged, broken up, gotten back together, and moved to Boston in the time that Meredith was on that beach while Hayes worried about her from afar. So, I'm excited for that. I'm also excited for Maggie and Winston's wedding and to know why her Dad and his Grandmother are objecting. I hope to see Jo adopt Luna and I'd love to see some father-daughter scenes with Richard and Meredith.
Until next time!

Sen Çal Kapımı Episode 12 aka Deliriously in Love
Okay, I feel like if I don't pour my thoughts out here I am gonna explode. I haven't been this level of obsessed and crazy since Arrow and Olicity. Now it's Sen Çal Kapımı and Edser.
Till the latest episode I'd also had a lot of thoughts, feelings and impressions about every episode but I guess I'd just been processing all of it differently. Now I am writing down my thoughts on episode 12 not because I find it particularly good or it's my favourite episode. No, it's because I have reached my limit and need to clear the space in my head. So here it goes.
The things I loved:
☑️‌ basically any moment when Edser was together on screen. The actors - Hande and Kerem - have undeniable great natural chemistry. And the right amount of sexual tension which creates an electric aura around them which I feel just sitting in front of my laptop💓💗🔥
☑️‌ Serkan: being a completely transformed, renewed, reborn person; a constantly smiling person😁; a person humming songs while making breakfast for two; him belly laughing and openly flirting with Eda; him still wearing his engagement ring; him freaking wanting to knock down the walls and doors just to be able to see Eda all the time 😍; him giving Eda the most poetic and symbolic gift💫; him seriously considering going to Italy with Eda; him respecting Eda's decision to keep them a secret for a while; him trying to get Eda to confess her feelings which was both funny and adorable but on the other hand showed how vulnerable and insecure he still is (at least it felt that way to me, I can be wrong in my personal interpretation)
‌☑️ a Serkan Bey scene with Leyla🤣😆. It was a great comedy moment
☑️ ‌Ceren and Ferit meeting and their interaction
☑️ ‌Ceren and Pırıl (is this the right way to spell her name?🤔)talking at the office; it was a great honest scene without petty jealousy and women fighting over a man
☑️ ‌Selin: not her per se; I cannot stand her character as a person; what I liked is basically "what goes around comes around" in action; she had been horrible, selfish and insensitive towards Ferit, looked down on Eda and in the end got what she deserved; I don't want to be judgemental or cruel but it's just the way I feel; I didn't feel sorry for her at the end of the episode but rather very proud of Ferit for finally standing up for himself
‌☑️ Seyfi being the captain of Edser ship🚢💟🕺🤝💪
The things I didn't like, the things that annoyed me:
‌🚩Ayfer's behaviour: this newfound dislike towards Serkan and her reaction to the contract; going behind Eda's back and asking Eda's grandmother for help (that's my lingering annoyance from last week); freaking hypnotizing Eda to get her to talk when Eda obviously didn't want/couldn't talk (I think that scene with the dough was intended to be a funny one but to me it was just an example of a disgusting manipulation)😠
🚩‌Erdem and his big mouth although him hiding from Serkan under the desk was funny
🚩‌Engin and Pırıl (still have no idea how to spell her name): they both seem to me too exaggerated in their hopelessness with each other 🤯
🚩‌Edser's date night at Serkan's house: while cute romantic and all that it was weird in the way it was filmed; I am by no means an expert in filming or editing or directing but I am a movie buff and visually the scene was just not good; maybe if the camera had just stayed on Edser; but the jumping between facing them and a shot from a weird angle with the telescope... nope 🧐😬
🚩‌the plotline around Eda's parents and Serkan's father being responsible for their death: while this has a very good dramatic potential (I am talking about quality drama movie here not drama for the sake of drama) I am afraid that the writers are playing fast and loose here because it's not that kind of show; initially SCK was posed as a romantic comedy and even dramatic and angsty moments had that flair of lightness; on the other hand I understand that Edser is portrayed as a quite mature couple (and I don't mean their actions and behaviour because there's nothing mature about Serkan faking an engagement just to make his ex-girlfriend jealous); there's something mature about the way they are with each other... I don't know how to explain it or if it even makes sense (it does in my head 🙈😆); anyway, I think that for them to break up it would have to be something really serious and big and bad. Hence the horror show involving Eda's parents coming our way
‌🚩 I am sorry but Eda's outfit she was wearing at the office. What fresh hell was that???😬 Consider me an unfashionable prude but that outfit was unprofessional and way too revealing 🙅❌
And finally the things I hated:
❎☣️ ‌AYDAN: WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS WOMAN???🤬😡😠 As if last week and the way she behaved towards Eda in that goodbye scene wasn't enough. Then in this episode she went on bitching about Eda and her friends, continued pushing for this ridiculous reunion with Selin and finally the last nail in her coffin - the reaction to finding out the truth about Eda's parents. The first thoughts of this woman, the first words to leave her mouth are delusional accusations! What kind of a person in their right mind would think of accusing the person who actually suffered in such a situation? I think Aydan would want revenge if she ever was in a situation like this. So she assumes that everyone is just like her. This type of people don't really believe or maybe don't understand that there are genuinely good and forgiving people like Eda in this world. It's so disappointing to see that. Any hint of sympathy or warmth or understanding that I'd developed for Aydan is gone. Say whatever you want but she is not a good person. And for me she's a villian from now on
❎☣️ what happened to Serkan in those last seconds of the episode? Was he abducted by aliens?👽👀 THE *UCK IS WRONG WITH HIM TOO? What kind of logic told him to go after Selin in that very moment? I am not saying ignore her, ignore what happened, don't talk to or look at anyone except Eda now... Of course not. It's what a normal person and friend would do - ask how Selin is, what's wrong, what happened, how to help... Call her, come to her. But AFTER. Do this after Selin deals with this herself. It's her relationship. Yes, Serkan is the reason this even happened but in that very moment it's not his place to do or say anything. As if he would want someone to meddle in if that were him and Eda.
Phew! It took a whole day out of my life to put it all down. Glad to finally be free of all the thoughts.

19 Parents Share The Creepiest Things Their Kids Have Ever Said
Kids say the darnedest things, but they also come out with ridiculously creepy things as well. When Reddit asked ‘what is the creepiest thing your child has ever said?’ Parents of the internet came forward with their stories and boy, they didn’t disappoint.
Here are nineteen of the most disturbing, chill inducing stories shared.  All we ask is for you to try and suppress the urge to lock your children in a cupboard after reading these.
1. “Daddy Its A Monster… We Should Bury It.”
My 3 year old daughter stood next to her new born brother and looked at him for awhile then turned and looked at me and said, “Daddy its a monster… we should bury it.”
2. “The Man Who Crawls On The Floor And Stands By My Bed.”
My co-worker’s four year old daughter always thought that the rattling of the water pipes in the kitchen cupboards were “white wolves” and the sound always scared her. One day she was sitting at the kitchen table and she said, “Mom. The white wolves aren’t bad… they’re our friends!”
Her mom encouraged the idea by saying, “Yes! The white wolves are protecting us. They are our friends.” Then her daughter added in, “They’re our friends, but not the man who crawls on the floor and stands by my bed”.
3. “Good Bye Dad.”
I was tucking in my two year old. He said “Good bye dad.” I said, “No, we say good night.” He said “I know. But this time its good bye.”
Had to check on him a few times to make sure he was still there.
4. “It’s The Closest I Can Get To Seeing Her Dead.”
He’s not my kid, but my godson is extremely creepy. He likes to stand in his little sister’s doorway while she naps and watches her sleep. I ask him why and he says, “it’s the closest I can get to seeing her dead.” He also likes to shove her fist in his mouth as far as it can go because he wants to “know what suffocating is like, just in case.” I’m pretty sure he’d be a serial killer if it wasn’t for Mario Kart.
5. “The Man With The Snake Neck.”
While changing my daughter in front of the open closet door. She kept looking around me and laughing. I asked her what was so funny. She said, “the man.” To which I replied, “what man?” She then pointed at the closet and said, “the man with the snake neck.” I turn around and nothing was there.
I’m afraid to look into the history of my house to see if anyone hung themselves in the closet. At least she wasn’t scared.
6. You Will Die Soon
Not to me, but to his grandmother.
He was cuddling with her and being very sweet (he was about 3 at the time). He takes her face in his hands, and brings his face close to hers, then tells her that she’s very old, and will die soon.
Then he makes a point of looking at the clock.
7. “I Want To Peel All Your Skin Off.”
I was sound asleep, and at around 6am I was woken up by my 4 year old daughters face inches from mine. She looked right into my eyes and whispered, “I want to peel all your skin off”.
The backstory here is I had been sunburned the previous week, and was starting to peel. In my sleep addled state however, it was pretty terrifying for a few seconds. I didn’t know if I was dreaming, or what was going on.
8. “When You Die, I’m Going To Eat You.”
My sons were about 2 and 4 when their pet goldfish died. I attempted to use the situation as an opportunity to discuss death and mortality. After I finished my explanation, my four year looked up at me with his big, blue eyes and asked, “Mommy, someday, will you die?” My heart filled with love and a little sadness, knowing this was one of those pivotal moments when the first bit of childhood innocence was lost, and I told him yes, someday, mommy will die.
“Good,” he said with a totally deadpan expression, and walked out of the room.
Later when we were about to flush the fish, he asked if we could eat him instead. I said no, we don’t eat pets because we love them, and he said, “When you die, I’m going to eat you.”
9. “Carson Is Gone, I Am Rick.”
When my son was little he, maybe 3, he used to do this weird crawl where he would slide his forehead along the floor. That was pretty creepy in itself. Then one night he crawled across the hallway into my room like that and stood up a few inches from my face and made a weird meow sound. He got into bed with me and went to sleep.
Another time he was freaking out about a monster in the basement so we went down and saw nothing, of course, and as I turned out the light and headed upstairs and he said “Hes right behind us now.” I might have peed a little.
Possibly the creepiest thing he did was one day I scolded him for misbehaving so he hid his head under his blanket. I pretended I couldn’t find him by saying “Where is my little Carson?” He slowly lowered the blanket and with a dead evil stare said, “Carson is gone, I am Rick.” I’m certain he’s possessed. We never knew any Ricks, as far I can remember. Still don’t. Never figured out where he picked up the name.
10. “I Died And Now I’m Here.”
Getting my two and a half year old daughter out of the bath one night, my wife and I were briefing her on how important it was she kept her privates clean. She casually replied “Oh, nobody ‘scroofs’ me there. They tried one night. They kicked the door in and tried but I fought back. I died and now I’m here.” She said this like it was nothing.
My wife and I were catatonic.
11. Baby Brother
“So I shouldn’t throw him in the fire?”
3 year old daughter holding her baby brother for the first time.
12. The Pretty Girl At The Cottage
My 3 year old nephew was at my cottage. He’s asked me numerous times about the “girl over there” while pointing at one of the back bedrooms. The place is small, and there is definitely nobody there so I just dismiss it as a really active imagination (he has lots of imaginary friends).
Then some friends are visiting and they have a daughter around the same age. She has never met my nephew. Twice in the one day she asked about the “pretty girl” while pointing at the exact same room. Definitely caught me out and I didn’t know what to think.
Then at Christmas my family was over at my place and my nephew points at a picture of my wife and asks if she is coming to visit us here or does she just stay at the cottage. My wife died ten years ago. Personally I don’t really believe in paranormal stuff so it’s probably just my logical brain putting together a bunch of kids ramblings but it definitely got my attention.
13. “He’s Behind You Now.”
“Go back to sleep, there isn’t anything under your bed”.
“He’s behind you now”.
Still haven’t gotten over that one and shiver at the memory.
14. “He’s Coming For You. You Better Hide.”
While not something my own child has said, my younger cousin (around 5 at the time) once drew a picture of a a black monster, looked up at me, and said “He told me to draw this. He’s coming for you. You better hide.”
15. “You Will Put Me Down, Down, Down In The Hole.”
I have a three year old who says some pretty strange stuff….
Last night: “Mommy.. the man, the very big man with big yellow eyes is looking at you.”
I look.. nothing. I tell him there is no man and he is make-believe. My son laughs, “Oh he is hiding now.” — 2 minutes later, “Oh no Mommy, you made him very mad. Now he says he will come when you are sleeping.”
Few weeks ago he tells me, “I’m not going to be four. I’m going to die. And you will put me down, down, down in the hole.” I tell him that isn’t true, and who told him that. He gets quiet and goes, “The man told me. But I will be scared, so after three night-nights you die too and come with me.”
Sheesh. As if I didn’t have bad dreams already.
16. “Daddy, I Love You So Much That I Want To Cut Your Head Off.”
A friend of mine’s child told him “Daddy, I love you so much that I want to cut your head off and carry it around so I can see your face whenever I want.”
17. The Bad Man
Why are you crying?
“Bad man”
What bad man?
“There.” Points behind me at a dark corner of the room
Lamp on bookshelf next to said darkened corner falls off as soon as I turn to look.
She slept in our bed that night
18. Ham Can’t Scream
When I was a waitress, I watched a little girl (4ish) stab her plastic fork into her sandwich repeatedly, saying “die die die die die die”. When I asked her what she was doing (her mom was in the bathroom for a minute), she replied with a straight face, “I like to kill things, but mom says I shouldn’t. So I picked the ham because it can’t scream.”
19. Satan Wants To Meet You
A few months ago I asked me brother and his wife if their kids ever did any creepy. They both immediately looked at each other and seemed surprised that I had asked.
Apparently the last few couple of weeks they would hear my niece talking to herself in her bedroom. They assumed it was just her playful imagination so they didn’t give it much thought. One day however my brother asked her who she kept talking to, she said it was her new best friend Satan who visits her at her window every day. Her window is close to the ground so they were seriously concerned that there was someone actually going up to her window and kept a closer eye on her for the next few days.
Every single time they would hear her talking he would go outside to her windows but never found anyone. They began asking her more about his new friend and apart from his name being Satan she mentioned that he follows her everywhere she goes and that he promised her he will bring her a cake one day.
At a late cookout at my parents a week before they mentioned that, she took her mom outside to the backyard and pointed at the pitch black backyard and told her that her friend Satan was there and he wanted to meet her also. That made chills run down my spine since I was at that cookout also. After that they made her promise she wouldn’t talk to Satan anymore.

TF2 RED Headcanons by an idiot that can’t pay attention well enough to read the comics
Back on my bullshit, because I apparently can’t shut up tonight. This is gonna be a big, possibly in-cohesive mess, and will probably have more focus on Scout, Pyro, Sniper, and Spy since they’re my favs, but I still felt like writing down all my dumb headcanons/ideas regarding everyone’s favorite mercenaries (at the moment at least; I might make another post like this later on, hopefully after I’ve read the comics)! Sorry if any of these seem OOC, I’m just goofin’! (Putting this under a readmore because WOW this got LONG)
Every Sunday afternoon, Scout, Pyro, and eventually Sniper when he tells everyone that he's a trans guy, hold a makeshift “Trans Buddy Club” meeting, which mostly consists of Scout mindlessly rambling about drama on base, Pyro nodding along, and Sniper occasionally adding his two cents/spilling tea as well.
Scout can speak fluent French, on account of his mom making sure to teach it to him so he could have more of a connection to his dad, but no one found out until a little after Spy told Scout he was his dad. It wasn’t long after this that Scout revealed that this entire time, he’s known every single thing that Spy's ever said to him in French, but he didn't say anything because he thought it would be funny to keep the ruse going (also because he really liked being praised in secret). Cue Spy freaking tf out because oh no, now his kid knows that he's secretly a huge softie for not only his son, but his whole team.
Sometimes Spy and Scout talk shit in French right there in front of the team, but no one has any fucking idea what they’re saying and to be honest it’s pissing Soldier off the most, much to the father and son duo’s amusement.
Pyro secretly has a little black rabbit named Lucifer (Lucy for short) in their bedroom, which they only take out to get some fresh air and hop around very early in the morning, before anyone else is awake. The only people who know are Medic, Spy, and surprisingly enough Soldier, whose raccoons became friends with Lucy.
Sniper has a goldfish in his RV, but it died three months after he joined the team; he has no idea though because Miss Pauling replaces it every time one passes away, so now Sniper is convinced he has the world’s oldest goldfish.
Scout and Soldier both really want a dog, but they're not allowed to have one on-base. :(
((Heavy plans on sneaking a dog in next Christmas and no one can stop him. It’s gonna be a Border Collie named Bandit, and it gets the most attached to Scout and Heavy.))
Demo is no longer allowed to make mixed drinks for parties; the last time he did, he got everyone so shitfaced that they had to cancel work for three days in a row in order to recover from it.
Continuing off of that: drunk headcanons.
Demoman: Unassuming drunk. Acts like he usually does, unless he’s gotten particularly shitfaced for a party/event, in which case he’ll be slurring so bad that no one can understand him anymore.
Pyro: Giggly drunk. Is just laughing the whole fucking night at nothing in particular, which scares anyone who’s still sober. If they’re too far gone, they’ll start mumbling something that sounds like it’s in Spanish.
Spy: Party drunk. An absolute fucking mess, he’s trying to impress everyone and keep their attention on him, which usually leads to him standing on tables and dancing until he falls and passes out.
Sniper: Sleepy drunk. Out like a fucking light at the slighest bit of alcohol. If he wakes up and keeps drinking though, he’ll just be slurring like Demo, only with a lot more anger in his voice. Let him sleep, or he’ll fucking stab you to death.
Scout: Clumsy drunk. Bumps into anything and everything; eventually has to be given a sippy cup for his alcohol because he dropped three glasses in a row. Talks even faster than usual, until he accidentally fucking pukes on someone.
Soldier: Calm drunk. Instead of getting loud and aggressive like most would think/fear, he’s just… chillin'. Just watches the shitshow as it happens, not even laughing when people get hurt/fall down. Kinda terrifying if we’re being honest here.
Engineer: Depressed drunk. His depression goes through the roof if he has too much, so he doesn't drink more than a few beers if he can help it. If he does accidentally drink too much, he'll be sobbing his eyes out in no time flat.
Heavy: Cuddly drunk. It’s very, very hard to get him drunk, since he’s really good at holding his liquor, but if you do, he’s gonna be hugging and carrying everyone he can get his hands on; you can expect him to have Medic and/or Pyro on his lap once he’s drunk enough.
Medic: Angry drunk. He wants to start fights with fucking everyone, all his rage coming out once he’s had a few too many; god help anyone who tries to stop him. Luckily for all involved, Heavy is more than capable of holding him still until he tires himself out.
BONUS Miss Pauling: Dumbass drunk. With too many bottles in her, she’s gonna be the one shouting and encouraging Spy to act reckless, while also encouraging Engie to drink more because quitting is for losers. Will pass out within an hour or so of downing her first drink.
BONUS The Administrator: Stereotypical drunk. Slurring, stumbling, she’s got the whole nine yards, but she’ll be damned before she let’s anyone see her that messed up. Secretly sips wine at work.
Okay, back to my rambling.
My personal headcanon names and ages for Scout’s older brothers, going from oldest to youngest: Grant 34, Timothy 32, Jacob 31, Arthur 31, Patrick 30, Malcolm 27, Curtis 26, and Jeremy (Scout) 23.
((Also, I’mma go off on my headcanon personalities for them, which are based off of how I’ve tried portraying them in my "Jeremy" fic.))
Grant - 34 years old - Bisexual - Occupation: Veteran/Construction worker - Personality: the oldest of the bunch, he takes it upon himself to keep his little brothers in line/help Ma out as much as he can. Enlisted in the Air Force after he graduated high school, and still takes a lot of pride in his veteran status after serving overseas three separate times. The family peacemaker.
Timothy - 32 years old - Homosexual - Occuptaion: Cartoonist - Personality: the gentlest of his brothers, he often gets roped into helping Grant keep the pack from running too wild. Bit of a softie; loves his husband and loves his job. Closest relationship is with Scout. Doesn’t approve of Scout being a merc but is too scared to say so. The family heart.
Jacob - 31 years old - Heterosexual - Occupation: Freelance guitarist - Personality: the firstborn of the only set of twins, Jacob is a lot more abrasive and instigating than his twin brother. Can’t grow a beard for shit, which pisses him off. Doesn’t get along well with Timmy, despite them both being talented and devoted artists. The family sword.
Arthur - 31 years old - Pansexual - Occupation: Carpenter - Personality: the second born of the only set of twins, Arthur is far more outgoing and nonchalant than his twin brother. Has a beard and loves it more than life. Secretly has a boyfriend, but is too nervous to come out. Gets along better with Jacob after they’ve become adults. The family shield.
Patrick - 30 years old - Heterosexual - Occupation: Hairdresser - Personality: probably the least social of all of the brothers, he prefers staying out of sight and out of mind tbh. Used to practice cutting everyone’s hair when they were kids. Doesn’t talk to his brothers that much, mostly due to being busy/forgetting to call more. The family shadow.
Malcolm - 27 years old - Heteromantic Asexual - Occupation: Wrestler - Personality: the most aggressive and physically competitive of his brothers, there’s nothing he won’t do to win a fight, save for using weapons/lethal force. Hard to get along with, but he still loves his brothers to bits, and was overprotective of Scout when they were younger. The family instigator.
Curtis - 26 years old - Heterosexual - Occupation: Bartender - Personality: was a total fucking mama’s boy growing up, and constantly got in trouble with his brothers for tattling on them. Still argues with Scout every time they see each other. Wants to make Ma proud, but it’s hard for him to keep a job for very long. The family drifter.
Jeremy - 23 years old - Transmale Pansexual - Occupation: Mercenary - Personality: (This is mostly for how he was as a kid) was constantly following his brothers around (especially Malcolm) in hopes of getting in on the fun. Was always treated as the family baby, so everyone was a bit scared to wrestle/fight with him for fear of getting him hurt. Very close to Timmy and Ma. The family runt.
No one on RED team can fucking drive well, save for MAYBE Sniper, but even he hates doing it. Spy gets so goddamn mad within two seconds of driving, Pyro can't stop swerving, Scout drives like a 16 year old who hasn't realized their own mortality yet, Medic jumps at every little inconsistency on the road, Heavy shouts at other drivers for being too slow/fast, Demo's depth perception is shit, Engie drives like a 90 year old grandmother, and Soldier is fine except he will literally shoot at other drivers for tailgating him/cutting him off.
The whole team has designated “Team Bonding Days” thanks to Miss Pauling, which involves playing board games, card games, and video games (in a slightly more modernized AU) together… this, of course, goes badly sometimes. The worst incident they ever had was a bad game of Monopoly that almost ended Heavy and Medic's friendship.
Uno is forever banned from Team Bonding Days. No explanation is needed.
Off the battlefield and in the base, Miss Pauling had the team set up a chore wheel, which is only occasionally followed. Engie is the most dedicated to following it, while Demo and Sniper try everything in their power to avoid cleaning the base.
Spy sometimes disguises himself as other teammates in order to get out of doing his chores, which has led to a lot of shouting matches that ended in Spy being forced to admit it was his fault.
Spy's favorite teammates to disguise himself as are Engie and Scout. He likes being Engie because he gets to be more affectionate with people without being found out, and he can act as Scout incredibly easily due to knowing him so well (tbh he's so good at masquerading as Scout that it's scary).
For Halloween, everyone put their names in Soldier's hat, then proceeded to pull out other teammates’ names to dress up as for their Halloween party. I dunno exactly who would be who, except that Scout traded around to get Spy, steals one of Spy's suits, and just goes around the party bonking people with a plastic baguette he bought online and speaking in a purposefully bad accent.
Spy: Mon fils, you can speak perfect French and you fucking know it. Please stop making a fool of ton père.
Scout: Hohoho, wee wee, I am a fucking frog that gets pegged by baguettes, hoho!
((Spy is this fucking close to committing filicide.))
Everyone can actually cook pretty well, but only very specific things for each merc: Demo can mix and blend drinks (not just alcoholic ones) like it's nothing, Pyro and Heavy like baking, Medic can barbecue anything, Scout knows how to make a lot of shit from scratch (thanks, Ma), Spy and Engie can grill like the true dads they are, Soldier will deep fry every piece of food he eats, and Sniper makes the best soups and stews imaginable.
In order of least to most messy bedrooms: Spy, Heavy, Engie, Sniper, Pyro, Demoman, Medic, Scout, and Soldier. You'd think Scout's would be the worst, but Soldier's room looks like a literal fucking war-zone.
Even when they're not working but get injured in some way (namely from shenanigans/horseplay), people will straight up kill themselves in order to respawn without the injury. The pettiest thing anyone ever respawned off-duty for was Medic suiciding over a tiny ass paper cut.
Demoman is scarily competent at the weirdest of times. For instance, Engie was once trying to figure out how to fix an issue on one of his turrets, only for Demo to stumble over, completely shitfaced, and point out the problem as well as the solution, before passing out under Engie's worktable. Demo doesn't remember this at all.
The first time Engie swore in front of the team in excess (due to dropping a hammer on his foot while he was tinkering), everyone was absolutely horrified because they had only ever heard him say “fiddlesticks” and the like.
Medic's room may not be the messiest, but goddamn is his office a fucking bomb waiting to go off 90% of the time. No one but Medic can find anything in the mess, which is just fine by him.
Heavy likes to sing (mostly just to Sasha) when he's cleaning her in the locker room. The others try to be within hearing range when he does this, because holy fuck, Heavy is a very good singer! He mostly just sings soft songs/lullabies, so his singing is sometimes used by the team insomniacs to help them get some much needed rest.
Okay, another group one. The mercs during shopping trips together:
Demoman: Sneaks a shit ton of alcohol into the cart when no one's looking. Starts complaining if he has to be at the store for too long; will try and sneak away to go home at least once during the trip. Accidentally bumps into a display case and makes a huge fucking mess.
Pyro: Sits obediently in the cart the whole time, occasionally nabbing candy and stuffed animals off of nearby shelves. Will puppy-dog eyes their way into getting everything they grabbed, no matter how much it is.
Spy: Somehow managed to steal an employee uniform and he pretends to work at the store the whole trip; the other mercs keep accidentally falling for it and asking for his help. This all goes to shit when a Karen starts shouting at him over something he didn't do, and he straight up slaps her.
Sniper: King of forgetting wtf was on the list and just grabs shit on the grounds of “Doc said we needed milk, right?” and other such excuses. Knows where everything is despite never having come here before.
Scout: “Gimme the list, I can get everythin' in, like, ten minutes!” Wants to speedrun grocery shopping due to years of shopping with his mom and brothers. Will run loose if left unsupervised and accidentally bust ass on some spilled milk.
Soldier: The one who spilled the milk that Scout busts his ass on. Insists he knows where he's going, but doesn't. Gets into a fistfight with a soccer mom while everyone's waiting to check out; the soccer mom won.
Engineer: Has a full, printed list of everything the team needs, which is organized by aisle number. Is the one who gives into Pyro's begging. Team Dad; keeps an eye on everyone and stops the soccer mom from murdering Soldier.
Heavy: Pushes the cart the entire time. Spends way too money on stuff in the protein shake aisle. At one point runs the cart down the aisle and let's go because Pyro wanted him to, and it ends up crashing into Demo.
Medic: Argues with the pharmacists at the pharmacy counter. Got lost with Soldier until they found Scout unconscious, so he had to perform CPR in the dairy aisle and a fucking paramedic criticized him the whole time; the paramedic hasn't been seen since.
BONUS Miss Pauling: Tries to more or less chaperone this shitshow of a shopping trip. Starts out cheerful and happy, ends up threatening to put child leashes on every last one of these dumbasses.
After Spy taught him how to dance in Expiration Date, Scout goes to him occasionally for advice, such as how to change a tire, how to cook certain things, how tf to do laundry, etc. Spy secretly loves that Scout does this, and tries to help him as much as he can.
Everyone on the team has called Engie “Dad” at least once, even Spy and Medic. No one comments on it.
Medic has been known to go on hour long tirades about anti-vaxxers, with Engie sometimes joining in.
Heavy buys Pyro stuffed animals during his trips to visit his family, which has started a tradition of everyone buying Pyro stuffed animals/toys when they go somewhere without them. Pyro's room is starting to look like a preschooler’s dream bedroom.
Scout calls his mom every other Friday, and he’ll occasionally let his teammates talk to her. Soldier always goes on and on about how good a soldier Scout has been (Scout cries like a baby), Medic tells her about Scout’s latest injuries (Scout damn near chokes him over it), Sniper is just glad to talk to a mom who won’t scold him for the whole phone call, Pyro hums music while Scout’s Ma sings the lyrics for them, Heavy talks about living in huge families with her, Demo asks her how she’s doing and if he can help her out at all, Engie is polite and also praises Scout, and Spy just tells her he’ll call her later before hanging up (Scout punches him for being rude to his mama).
Spy calls Scout's mom on the Fridays that Scout doesn't, mostly to check on her and sometimes to get into some, uh, “steamy” conversations over the phone. Sniper overheard a conversation between them once and now he can't look Scout or Spy in the eyes anymore.
And that's all I've got for right now! I hope you all liked my stupid headcanons!

Until We Meet Again: Episode 5 Review
Tumblr media
(Gonna caveat that this review was written after I watched episode 10)
I really am enjoying watch Dean and Pharm’s relationship grow. It feels really natural, despite the fact we know their “fated soulmates”. I feel even if they hadn’t had a history as Korn and In, they’d probably wind up together. I really find myself enjoying their conversations. And my fears from last episode about striking a balance between a potential new relationship but not forgetting old ones was unfounded. Bonding as big brothers to younger siblings was great. And I’m glad Dean’s self-aware enough to admit that he’s not the greatest big brother. Honestly, from the information Del provided last episode he’s probably not had much of an opportunity to try and be but I think with a little guidance from Pharm he’ll get there.
I think this is the first time Pharm actively suggests something to Dean. I know Dean’s actively shown interest in Pharm but Pharm did this without the encouragement of Team or Manaow behind him (like feeding him at swimming or giving him things for the club). It was refreshing. I think it reinforced to Dean that Pharm is interested in him too. He certainly looked pleasantly surprised at Pharm’s admittance there is more than the one meal in a day that they could share!
Seriously, where are all these people who take these photos for the social media pages?! They must be ninjas or something. And excellent photographers because they do get some juicy gossip shots. I think they should all have a career in journalism. Manaow looks like she’s having the time of her life with all the fan clubs though and you can hardly blame her!
I liked the breakfast scene this morning with Dean, Don and Del. It was nice to see Dean maybe realising they do like him? There was nowhere near as much hesitancy so I'm looking forward to watching more of those barriers come down between them.
Pharm has noisy neighbours. Considerately apologetic but still noisy! I can relate and I was right to pay attention to the extras since they did make a full appearance later on! And can I just say – what the hell is on Sin’s head?! That was not a good wig, I’m sorry!
Aw they’re going on a date!!! Hm who does Team spend a lot of time with on a bus I wonder? ;D
I rather like Sorn. Sure, we didn't see a lot of him and the scene was rather short but his teasing of Dean in front of Pharm was pretty funny. Dean should learn from Sorn how to be a big brother too, because that's how it felt between the two of them. The little scene did give us a bit more background to Dean again. And also how much of the story does Sorn know if he’s asking Dean if he found "that person"? By the sounds of it, Dean has been looking for someone most of his life. He wasn't raised by his parents but by a grandmother so I guess no one but Sorn would be able to tell if Dean's behaviour has changed a little after meeting Pharm. I'm not sure about Win. I've no idea how long they've been friends but if Sorn has known him for so long, he could've become a confidant I suppose. He was probably still young enough to not disregard Dean's comments like an adult might. Dean must've changed in some fashion for Sorn to ask though.
The aquarium looked stunning and an almost kiss! Ack! So close!  I think Dean spent more time looking at Pharm than the exhibits but you can hardly blame him. I’m not familiar with the fable they were talking about but Pharm saying he felt sorry for the ogress for being abandoned was telling. Dean obviously hasn’t abandoned him but could In perhaps feel that Korn did? Both their answers were pretty much the same otherwise and showed a little bit of possessiveness and selfishness. I actually liked how honest they were about it. No one’s 100% virtuous after all. Pharm was even more honest that he was afraid before it looked like they were about to kiss and I don’t think it’s of Dean himself but maybe it’s more the Intouch influence that makes him scared of letting go completely again and getting hurt.
And then of course post-date, after some cute scenes with Dean and Win, and Pharm freaking out over Dean’s posts about their date – with an excellent pic of Pharm if I do say so myself. Nothing to be ashamed of there at all! This really is massively different to Korn and In who had to hide their relationship. Dean’s actively out there screaming from the rooftops he’s interested in Pharm by posting about him – and he obviously has a lot of admirers on campus who would be following him. Actually now that I think about it, Pharm being more hesitant to show the world might stem from an unconscious fear of what might happen. Obviously it’s a different generation and as proven by the shippers on campus, their relationship would be widely more accepted and is even being encouraged but I can understand the slight need for caution maybe on Pharm’s part. I don’t think it’s the relationship moving too quick but rather letting the rest of the world know just yet. I'll guess I'll have to see if that's a reason for conflict between the two.

I thought of a random one-shot idea in bed this morning when the tornado warning notification on my phone woke me up that I may or may not write later, but gather round, let me tell you a thing.
So, post-s3 Marinette is the new guardian, and the other heroes have been exposed to Hawkmoth so they can't come do the thing anymore (canon will likely find a work around but idc this is my fic). Now Alya knows the importance of secret identities, she does, but when she latches onto a possible scoop, she can't just ignore it.
An akuma attacks the school, someone failed their maths test or some shit, and Ladybug and Chat Noir save the day as per usual, and Alya notices that right after Ladybug leaves, Marinette shows back up and is like wow did you see Ladybug defeat that villain? Amazing. And Alya is like that's funny, cause I never saw you, girl, ya know I never see you during akuma attacks come to think of it, and Marinette gives another lame excuse which has Alya like
Tumblr media
So she just so happens to get assigned to do a group project with Nino and Adrien so they all convene at her house, and she's like okay hear me out: Marinette!
And Nino and Adrien are like, bitch you tripping, but Alya is like no! I have evidence! Because Marinette always suddenly disappears when akumas show up then reappears after plus when Alya found Ladybug's textbook in Pharaoh Marinette mysteriously didn't have hers and looking at who all the heroes are they are all people in the class and the first two she picked were Alya and Nino, aka her two closest friends. Nino tries to argue that the two of them had plenty of bonding time with LB and CN to warrant miraculouses but can't argue some of the other points.
Meanwhile Adrien is just sitting beside them like
Tumblr media
Because just when he starts trying to move on, Alya drops this bombshell in his lap and now he can't stop thinking about it because Marinette would make so much sense because she's awesome and an amazing friend but like wait, does he love her what is happening??
Alya devises a plan to test Marinette, so they plan on meeting in the park one day to hang out when an akuma attacks (adrien gives an excuse that he has a photoshoot but will be there right after) and Alya and Nino hang out during and once the day is saved Adrien shows up then a few minutes later Marinette comes running up with another excuse for why she was late (akuma was across town so they were fine where they were), and Alya remarks that it's rather funny that Marinette seems to disappear and reappear around akumas with lame excuses almost like she's living a double life.
Marinette is like that's crazy I am totally normal and have normal people things to do! How dare- I was helping my grandmother with technology, and anyway I'm like way too clumsy to be a hero, you know that, so like I-I am not Ladybug.
Tumblr media
And besides even if Marinette was Ladybug there is no way she could tell Alya because it's too dangerous, so there.
Alya is like I get that, I get that, but like can you prove you're not Ladybug?
Marinette: Can I what?
Alya: if you're not Ladybug then prove it. Hang out with us during an entire akuma attack. No running off or lame excuses.
Marinette: ...fine. Deal. Good. I will absolutely prove to you that I am not Ladybug. You'll see!
So next akuma attack, they all gather at Alya's and Marinette is like wow look at me here at your house while an akuma is happening right now at this moment, and Alya is like uh huh, yeah, great sure except Ladybug is the guardian now which means she has access to all of the Miraculouses, and I am not so easily fooled by my own Miraculous, and you are a mirage! So Alya yeets a book at Marinette and she disappears and Adrien and Nino are both like
Tumblr media
And Alya is like holy shit I was right! Marinette is Ladybug! I figured it out! This is awesome! Now we can be her ground team and help her out, and we have to swear secrecy no one else can ever know who she is or that we know because the fate of paris and possibly the world depends on it so no getting akumatized and holy shit my best friend is Ladybug!
So Adrien is internally freaking out like oh jeez oh dear oh what do we do??? And while Alya is rambling, Ladyfox herself shows up, sensing that her illusion was broken, and Alya is like I knew it! You merged with the fox to create an illusion of yourself, but omg it really is you!
So Ladyfox is like yes, yes, you're very smart, but you cannot know my identity because that is bad news bears, and I can't allow it. And Alya is like but I already know so now I can help you out! And Ladyfox is like if 'you know anything about me, you know that I always have a plan A through plan Z if I have to, and did you really think I'd be so careless with my identity? Because you're wrong about one thing. I didn't merge the Ladybug and the fox.' She holds up her wrist and a second illusion fades to reveal Snakefox with the snake already been activated. 'Now I know you'll figure this one out, so next time I'll have to try something else.' Alya starts to beg her not to, but she resets with Second Chance.
The same scene plays out only Alya goes to hit Marinette with a pillow.
Alya: Because you're a-
Marinette blocks pillow with her arm: real person?
Alya is shocked that she got it wrong, and Marinette is like see? I told you I'm not Ladybug.
Alya: But you always have lame excuses!
Marinette: *sighs* okay, fine, I'll tell you the truth. This is super embarrassing, but akumas freak me out so I come up with excuses to go home so I can be near my family until it's over. There. Happy?
Alya: But you hate the movie they made!
Marinette: *shrugs* I don't like the writing. Is that allowed?
Alya: But...
Marinette: But I'm not Ladybug. Now let's play Ultimate Mecha Strike so I can kick your butt.
They hang out for the whole akuma (adrien eventually fakes a text from his dad to come home immediately) and after the day is saved Marinette teases Alya then returns home to find Bunnybug waiting in her room to bring her back to her timeline (earlier that morning), and they remark that that was close and they'll have to be more careful in the future, but Bunnybug feels like this will put Alya off her trail for a while. The two fist bump before Marinette goes back to her own time to do the events all over.
